I just thought of a really interesting fan theory about the ending of Mystery Incorporated and how Daphne's sisters we unsuccessful but Daphne was? which was essentially unnecessary to the plot.
but like... what if it was?
what I mean by that is Crystal Cove was the "Hauntedest Place on Earth" but most of these "Haunted monsters" were guys in masks looking for an easy way out or to get money or become more successful.
WITH the theme of success, it kinda made me realise that Crystal Cove would've had a lot of other dodgy sketchy things going on... like maybe boyfriends being "metaphorical monsters" and wanting to do everything for the Blake sisters so they could become successful.
SO when Crystal Cove becomes the "Happiest Place on Earth" it completely eradicates majority if not ALL criminal activities not just the guys in masks.

from what I’ve heard Fred in Velma is exactly the person Fred’s Mayor dad wanted him to be in Mystery Incorporated and that is very funny to me.

Random Beach Episode
Gaz: Oh hey GhO-OH my god???
Ghost, shirtless: Oi, Garrick. Help me rub oil on my back.
Gaz: Why??
Ghost: Soap likes shiny things, and I'm tired of him looking at other people.
Gaz: O-okay...

Evidence under the cut!
In this podcast (transcript here), Mitch Watson, producer and head writer for this iteration of Fred says that Fred is on the spectrum.
Fred is confirmed to be canonically autistic only in this version of "Scooby-Doo", although he has autistic traits in other "Scooby-Doo" media

I know it's bad form to compare shows, and each has its unique strengths but be prepared to get sucker punched in the throat with this take.
Scooby doo: mystery incorporated did the "these kids are a nuisance/misfits" trope better than Avatar: legend of korra (and also gays, oop)
In Korra, Raiko, Lin and even Tenzin treat the god of their world and their disciples as annoying kids when the worst they do is stop racketeering and police brutality in season 1. This continues throughout the seasons with most villians and side characters blowing them off, and what's worse is the Krew never actually do anything on purpose to mess up republic city, they actually wanna help the citizens. Furthermore each of them have careers and prospects in each season, trying to be role models of "upstanding" citizens.
Compared to my darling Gang of highschool delinquents, who ride around in their hippie van and habitually skip school to poke around crime scenes. Also unlike the Krew helping republic city dwellers, the people of crystal cove are a tourist town. A tourist town built of having legit supernatural events and haunting. D'ya know what our mystery incorporated do? They've made it their life mission to fuck with their hometowns livelihood by solving these haunting, to the point that they get handcuffed/arested in a futile attempt to stop them from fucking with the towns income. Also also, any time, without fail they get their hands on explosives/guns/knives they will try to kill someone. People say LOK is brutal compared to ATLA cos of P'li? Fred tries to off his own father, they blow up a poolboy, they level a desert town with an ancient Spaniard ship and scooby doo wields honest to gods dual gatling guns in the final act.
I'm sorry but mystery incorporated would salt the graves of the Krew without a shread of hesitation or remorse.
Also just comparing TV portrayals velma/marcie is was more explicit and developed than Asami/korra xoxo

So the Velma series turns out to be a dissonant and unappealing disaster which forgot why original fans of the Scooby Doo franchise like it in the first place, who would have guessed. These creators and writers demonstrate they are seemingly blind and deaf in terms of understanding why it is people like scooby doo in the first place.
Velma, as of current, exhibits none of the traits that have made the series likeable, instead preferring to cram in as many vulgar jokes and scenes as physically possible in the runtime. Not a single character comes off as a good person, much less a likeable character. each of the main four present are either dull, pitiful or infuriatingly poor excuses for the writers to throw shitty writing or bad 'adult comedy' at an audience who came to a show about scooby doo for very different reasons.
my only salute goes out to the poor animation team who had to work on this, because when the scene isnt showing gross cartoon violence or nutity, the art looks pleasant, especially the backgrounds, being colourful, yet maintaining a consistent tone for the most part
I beg, do not watch Velma, even as a Hate Watch or Cringe Binge. an revenue is good revenue in the eyes of the producer, and as long as its getting views, itll succeed, and we cant have more of this shit, especially not for scooby doo.

I now tealise my opiion of fred being a douchebag is mostly based on the live action movie. Ya knoe the one. Not a prticularly good movie but I like the fred characterization. I have very strong opinions on the dooby doo franchise apparently.

Its there on the chart! The logo right on the “silly and spooky” side of the axis is what I used to represent the Scooby Doo series as a whole. Mystery Incorporated is included separately because its so tonally different to most Scooby Doo series

I am THIS close to going full conspiracy board trying to piece together the components of my favourite genre "spooky, mystery solving, coming of age adventures that involve a clash of the mundane and the supernatural"
