Good morning guys. Do you cook ad hoc from leftovers? I did make a quick dish in my oven. Just mixed up some stuff and voila. So, I’m going to try to name this dish now. Let’s call it Chicken Kiev in veggies and spices by Kristof :) s o it takes between 20-30 minutes in the oven. You use half of butternut squash and one potato 🥔. Dice them both. Put everything on the baking tray , use spices like garam masala, shawarma, tarragon, diced garlic cloves (I used two), salt, black pepper, and splash a bit of olive 🫒 oil. On the top or aside place 2 chicken Kievs. It cost me £1.50 @coopuk to get two of them with 30% discount. Cook for 22 to 30 minutes in 180-200’C Dish is really cheap especially if you use leftovers from previous cooking as me. I'm gonna make Vegetarian curry for my lunch!!! I hope I dont burn it. 😅😅 Recipe: 1 diced butternut squash 1 cut up zucchini 2 cans of Coconut Milk 1 can of Bamboo shoots 1 can of Water Chestnuts 3-3 and 1/2 TBSP of Thai Green Curry Paste. Lightly sautee zucchini in a large frying pan. Combine coconut milk (both cans), butternut squash, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, and 3 tbsp of green curry paste in the large frying pan. Cook until butternut squash is soft, then add zucchini. If you need to add more green curry paste. (Add more in by 1/2 tbsp) Serve and eat by itself, or on top of rice. Don't add the rice in while you are making it and keep seperate from curry for leftovers. If you don't it will get soggy. Optional: 2 chichen breast instead of squash (makes it not vegetarian) Carrots insead of zucchini Thats I'll I got!!! It’s Fig Goo time again! “Fig Goo” is what I call my secret black fig jam recipe.

I don’t do what the canning and cookbooks say. I wait until my tree’s figs are extremely ripe and literally bursting with flavor. Then, I add other ingredients that I may never divulge. Or, perhaps one day soon, one of my nom de plume alter egos will publish a book of delicious kitchen secrets.

This is the first of this year’s crop — almost 5 lbs. There are several more hauls still ripening on the tree. Considering that California is in a drought and I’ve been conserving water, I’m happy. I’ve still got uneaten jars from last year and so do some of my neighbors. I leave the tree’s uppermost figs for the local wildlife.
