#ya'll.... it smells so good you don't understand....#first perfume to actually make me understand what top middle & last notes mean#it smells really similar to cool water for women and arrogant by english laundry...#which is really funny bc i used to wear both of those perfumes 😭#i really love fragrances so i feel like i'd get into collecting them as a hobby if they weren't so damn expensive#... i say as i'm willing to import merch of this damn muppet man#anyways i used rinkya as a proxy for this one specifically bc they're able to import stuff that's alcohol-based#my usual proxy can't do that so this sight was a god send#also i finally started to set up one of my nerd shelfs so winter date kara is free from his plastic bag now#i'm rationing this shit like it's the last bottle of potable water on the planet#especially since i know a good dupe#i could probably get a similar smell by layering those two fragrances i mentioned before#osmt#karamatsu#merch#mj rambles

I absolutely LOVE the Squirtle/Wartortle illustrations by kantaro in Pokemon 151!
The Squirtle jumping so joyfully from the rock into the ocean, the colors are STUNNING! I love the contrast of the Squirtle's aqua blue framed in the vivid orange sky, the soft bit of blue reflecting in its shell and its tail just catching the sun, how little and squishy its body looks as it launches itself towards the water with such tremendous excitement!
The lineless style of the background gives me the feel of a travel poster and I sense the tropical environment around it from the rocks and trees framing the corners, the waterfall splashing with as much energy as the Squirtle!
The layered blues on the surface of the water and the bubbles rising at the corner make me FEEL the liquid rising to meet the Squirtle--I can just feel how the next moment it's going to break through and be immersed in a cool island swim!
And the Wartortle running along the sunset beach, this is somehow everything I always imagined for Wartortle! I adore the way the rich purple melts into the warm red/orange sky, the matching purple clouds and shadows in the foreground, and how the dimming sunlight glows red on Wartortle's deep blues!
I love how the yellow and orange of the sky illuminate the lapping waves, I can just feel the gentle motion of the sea at dusk. The aqua color of the ocean matches Wartortle's ears and tail and sets off the red-orange sand, I just love how the colors are here!
Wartortle looks so round and squishy, I love its happiness as it goes frolicking through the shallows, chasing the bubbles caught in the setting sun! The shine and deep shadow on its shell give it an almost jewel texture like real tortoise shell; I love the silhouetted splash Wartortle leaves as it goes running across the shore. It's so full of energy and delight at the end of a gorgeous day! The colors in these are SO vivid and harmonized and the style is so cute and bursting with energy and joy. I just LOVE it (also Squirtle is my starter)
#pokemon#pokemon tcg#long post#i have deep affection for bulbasaur as well though and i also love the bulbasaur/ivysaur cards in this set#i SO wish we'd gotten art of the final evolutions in the same style as the pre-evos' standard cards!!#(yes i do love the full art ones but i also love the illustrations on the standard cards!)#from the way the settings in these two were going; i would have imagined blastoise to be set at night (??)#i LOVE pokemon cards. i can't keep up with every set but i started collecting again now and then a few years ago#and 151 has really got me wanting the full set the way i haven't since childhood. SO many beautiful illustrations (but there always are)#it's like having little pieces of art of my favorite characters and it's only.. slightly... less expensive than actually commissioning ....#i KNOW it's less expensive to buy the individuals online but it's so much less fun#part of the fun is having YOUR own pokemon journey ((going to the store)) and seeing what YOU encounter ((when you open the pack))#i do buy them online sometimes but i usually dont form as strong associations with them as when i open a pack in a certain setting or place#i tend to try to save them to open right before a significant event like starting something new or a holiday. so that i form associations#and it's like 'oh that's the galarian obstagoon from when my mom came home for christmas'#and 'that's the snorlax who reassured me when i was hurt'#i don't buy them too often so i've got to make it count#anyway i know i should wait for the prices on this one to come down because it's absolutely ridiculous#i didn't buy anything at release because i was like $6 for one booster pack??? but i couldn't take just sitting and watching them sell out#i really like the poster because i can look at so many beautiful pictures all together#i could say stuff like this about literally every pokemon illustration (if i had time to write it out) and sometimes i've wanted to#i just chose these two because these are a couple of my original favorite pokemon and i just couldn't keep it to myself. i LOVE these

#alv posts#i do have a small toy collection. maybe i should show it off?#i have two cheaper dolls like 15-20 dollars#one ive had since i was a kid and kept in fantastic condition because autism#one nendroid that i got for christmas#and a v expensive doll again for christmas#and another christmas present was a mint condition version of the doll i had as a kid and adored but lost#i did not ask my mom how much it cost#i also have a few porcelain dolls from various sources including my deceased great grandmother who collected them#im hoping to add some tf figures to my collection

#i've never been any good at thrifting clothes cos i just don't have the required patience and attention span#i DO however love thrifting kitchen items and decor items and especially pots for my plants#cos i have a fair few plants right? i think i have somewhere between 95 and 115 in the living room/kitchen aka the main room#granted 1/3 of them are propagations that are hanging out in water as i haven't gotten around to put them in soil yet#and some of them aren't ready for a soil home quite yet anyway#anywayyyy the point is that buying pots for all of those straight from the store would become sooo expensive in the long run#ceramic pots are pricey y'all. especially the bigger ones#at the thrift shop on the other hand....i got four lovely small/medium sized pots for a grand total of $14 yesterday#(actually no. one of them was a tea pot. but it was a pretty yellow colour and i figured ykw i'll use that as a flower pot np)#which was lovely cos the og price tags were still on two of them and one originally cost $30 and the other $45#i like saving money and i adore my mismatched collection of flower pots🥰#i'm gonna head to a different thrift shop now#cos i want a couple of big vases for my big boi propagations but couldn't find any good ones at the one i went to yesterday#i also wanna see if maybe they have a pretty green flower pot? like forest green or moss green or smth like that#this has been random ramblings with anna☀️

But then if i just say 'Game lovers' then that sounds like video games... hrmm... terminology.. ANYWAY#6. PIGEONS ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD.. spotted..!! clapping cheering sobbing at their beauty so on and so forth#7. back at it again..I know all of these images look the same because I get the same exact order every single time I go to zero dregrees lo#. but it IS all separate occasions. I allow myself to go one single time a year (pretty expensive like.. $12 for the garlic noodles I think#or even $15. And probably $7 for a drink. so it's a very rare treat). why have i suddenly been gripped with the desire to get back into fishkeeping
#Seven.txt#fish stuff#fishkeeping#fish keeping#fishblr#i’m not complaining cause i’ve lowkey missed feeling so passionate about the hobby but. my brain couldn’t have picked a less convenient tim#me: trying to spend less money and manage my time better#my brain: hey hey hey you know what you should do? you should get back into a really expensive and time-consuming hobby!!! it’ll be fun!!!#and i mean. it’s not like i truly ever got out of it i just sort of dialed back the number of tanks and fish i have over the past few years#so i’ve currently got a bunch of empty tanks and equipment sitting around collecting dust#i do still have three fish that i thought would be my last for a While. i’ve had them for a number of years and they’re all old by now#so i’m just trying to help them live the rest of their days as comfortably as they can#well. Paprika and Thing One are near their end but in spite of the Mystery Growth on Thing Two’s head that little guy is still doing fine#so he could still be here for awhile. who knows. but anyways#fishkeeping was one of my first really intense and long lasting special interests/hyperfixations so it’s such a strange feeling#to have it come back so strongly and for no obvious reason. but. that’s the nature of fixations i suppose!#insert Drake and Josh ‘I do not control the hyperfixation’ meme here#anyways. the project to finally set up the 75gal that’s been sitting empty for years is finally underway!!! so that’s exciting!#now i’ve got to make a list of things i need and find somewhere to set up a quarantine tank. hrmmm#and also cry over the fact that the filter i need is 200 dollars ahahahaaaaa why did my brain have to latch onto this hobby oh my god#oh man. i’ve gotta order the snails and activated media before the weather gets any warmer or they’ll cook in the bag on the way here ugh#This Post Brought To You By- me sitting here refreshing my email every 10 mins. waiting for Cynthia to let me know if she still has#these two adorable Sakura Ranchus avaliable to purchase. i mean. they were listed in Sep. 2021 so i will be Shocked if she still has them#but maybe the universe will smile upon me and i'll get lucky!
