and on the weekend they drove all the way out to del sol valley to look at apartments with adelaide to rent (she has been asking them to let her move there for years now)

convincing them was tricky, but steve is kind of on board already & wants her to follow her dreams of being a muscian 🥺

on the way back they visited Claire, who just had twins (for some reason everyone was having them) and adelaide met her aunt 🤸‍♂️❤

whilst they were away, elijah asked sita out on a date

and they went rollerskating but elijah was useless and sita was good

moose became an elder

and then it was finally adelaide's birthday party! I dont have a lot of photos but she basically threw a house party, and then celebrated with her family with a cake (which I streamed so some people saw)!

and she also invited jolene and kissed her again HEHE

as soon as she was a YA, I moved her out, and I was so excited to play the next chapter, but alas my PC broke. at the same time though im really glad I got to finish gen 1, as I feel like its a complete story 🥺❤

I like to think that adelaide went on to be a star, and that she met a cast of crazy celebrities along the way who she probably had whirlwind romances with. I planned for her and jolene to hook up, but drift apart and have a super messy public breakup, and for elijah to become a scientist, and marry sita but in my mind thats canon 😉!

ahhhh! you know what's crazy???? i've literally always had in my head a scene of solana taking the girls when they're babies to see roman fight and like, she's holding one twin, and naomi or bayley are holding the other. and they're maybe two or three months, so soooo little, but sol keeps pointing out roman to them, all like, "look, there's daddy. say hi." because she wants more than anything at least one of them to say 'dada' or 'daddy' as their first word 🥺🥺🥺

and, everyone throwing the ones up to acknowledge roman as the tribal chief, and like, lina and leya cooing and wiggling a bit, in their own way acknowledging him 😭😭😭

but, it doesn't work because like, roman would never allow solana to have the girls out, that young, at the warehouse of all places, not to mention all the safety concerns and such.

adding the little irl details was just soooo fun. i needed to pay tribute to Chris' iconic red hair (i'm a redhair!Chris defender/lover first and human second).

the whole piercing thing i don't explain it in the story (i did it in a spin-off i wrote literally only for my bsf and i that focuses on Sol and how he bonded with hoseok because we love sol and hoseok skjdfhsjkdf), but essentially Liraleans get one or more piercings done when they turn 18 as a rite of passing, so Chris did it, too. not only because he thought it'd look cool but because he wanted to honour the tradition as well even if he was weeellll past 18.

as for what inspired me… several things. my brain likes to find escape in fake worlds it likes to create, so a few years ago before bed i started thinking this scenario like… "what if there was a group of rebels… running away from someone for some reason, and they end up stranded on a planet, and they're taken to the throne room and almost executed but the queen of the planet saves them and then turns out she's also a rebel?" i didn't make anything with it until last year i remembered it and i was already deep into my skz brain-rot so the concept started growing and growing in my head.

the final detonator was me watching obi-wan kenobi and being like I NEEED LOVE IN SPACE. I NEED IT, and also me getting deep into breath of the wild again (a lot of the Sheikah concepts in the legend of zelda games also inspired me a lot). so SH was born kjsdhfskjdf if i'm being honest, i just started writing shit. like i kept getting ideas and scenarios and concepts for this world and i just wrote them down ! shit like "oooohhh what if they're soulmates". or "oooohhh what if the queen has a king but THEY'RE TWINS NOT REALLY MARRIED and Chris' all sad abouttt ittt until he finds out". or "WHAT IF OTHER KPOP IDOLS EXIST IN THIS UNIVERSE" sdjskdasdj (i'm so deep into SH lore that the only reason BTS weren't in the Alliance was because i made them Liraleans and childhood friends of the twins. i can even give THAT an explanation lmaooo).

one thing about me is that in any significant story i'll add twins. this is something i've done since i started writing fanfiction when i was like 12 years old sdfjhsdkjf so the Queen and her brother are just soooo dear to me. i love them with my whole heart. i call them my Neurodivergent Twins because they're autistic/adhd coded lol. why did i do it? because i'm autistic and i wanted to do it, that's literally it.

also yes, as a raging demisexual it's impossible for me not to build the emotional connection first dsjkfhsdkjf which is why i love friends to lovers and soulmate aus so much, they let you do a lot of that.

so, i went back and reread the scene with brandi and emma, and i'm not seeing where she calls bron daddy? she talks about her dad with solana, but she doesn't call him daddy. bron is just brandi and emma's personal guard, and cody's younger cousin. but maybe i'm missing something????

and yes, i'm aware there are things left open. things partially touched on but put on the backburner for now. that's all intentional. this story is plotted and is being written from a long-term storytelling approach, meaning i've opted to plant crumbs along the way until the big picture comes together. it all comes together in the end.

everything that's happened in this story thus far has happened for a reason. from roman making solana train, to solana and brandi meeting that day, dwayne and matteo coming more to the surface. even solana's name and her being called "sol" by roman. there's a shit of foreshadowing as well. it's all intentional, and it's all going to come together. i don't like loose ends, so anything that may not be answered, which is not much, is because it's not germane to the plot.

book 2 focuses on the fallout of the ending of book 1.

i've never confirmed nor denied that the twins in the dream are the twins solana is carrying. the dreams serve an important purpose and will contribute to how things play out. many things i neither confirm nor deny, just let people think what they want, because i don't want to take away from my storytelling.

i think a lot of people are used to, understandably, shorter fics that aren't as fleshed out as this, because that's what common and popular for fanfics! and, let's be honest, this book is long as shit with even longer chapters. then add in my long-term storytelling and slow burn.....it can take a while.

and it's on me for not being more upfront from the beginning about things playing out overtime versus being fully uncovered sooner rather than later. that's definitely on me, and i'm super sorry about that! ❤️
