Ok, so for the song meme (I kinda want to ask ALL of them, but)

6. I don't know about "kill god" but "We Are Young" by Mika makes me feel like I could clean my kitchen, and that might be even more difficult.

23. I discovered Jazz Emu from a goofy tiktok meme of all things but I'm absolutely in love with his music. "Hummingbird" is a rare *non-comedy* song from him that is touching and almost shocking in its genuine emotion, especially nestled as it is in the rest of this novelty album (and his catalogue as a whole). Anyways, please check out this song, and then if you think you'd like to hear this guy sing about DVD logos and the anxiety of perfectionism try the rest of his stuff.

23. "A Merry-Go-Round of Stars" from the game "You and Her and HER Love". A game I have not actually played but am fascinated by (same with most Nitro+Chiral projects). The clicky sounds in the start are especially pleasing, but the wavering vocals are also very enjoyable. I do get kind of emotional about this song (and the scene it's a part of) when I listen to it.

Favorite songs for Leokumi & why? (also, in which situations would they play / what kinds of songfics would you write around them?)

You know I actually had a whole playlist a couple of years back that I used to listen to whenever I wanted to get into a Leokumi mood. Lemme dig it up and see if I still like any of them for the ship!

If you've never seen me recommend music before then I will just forewarn you: It's all mid-2000's pop punk trash and I will be taking absolutely no criticisms

LFO - Every Other Time: Should be pretty self explanatory if you listen to it lol. Also the first song I listened to and I busted out my ear drums because I didn't realize my headphones were on max volume

Something Corporate - Ruthless: I dunno, I think I just listened to it a lot when I was doing my last Leokumi longfic. A lil angstier

The Maine - Diet Soda Society: It kind of just gives me modern AU Leokumi vibes? Idk, I think they'd both be the type to just really overthink everything and the other would occasionally have to pull them back by being like "can you just shut up and live in the moment for a second?"

The Maine - Black Butterflies and Déjà vu: Again, I don't really know. I just like it for them. Leo strikes me as a bit of a romantic so I think he'd really vibe with these "head over heels" type songs

Kirby's always been into Rock and Classic Punk, and Sam's hoping that Kirby's influence will improve Tara's taste in music. The opposite happens.

Kirby and Tara can never agree on a movie for movie night, it's always slasher vs elevated horror, and while they're arguing, Sam cues up a western and tells them to deal.

Sam drinks a lot of diet-caffeine-free soda, and since she's come back into Tara's life she carefully monitors her caffeine intake, forcing it on Tara as well. Kirby is a compulsive coffee drinker and fights against the regime. Sam will not let her keep coffee in the house.

Kirby doesn't care much for chocolate or sweets, which is good, because the sisters have a massive sweet tooth. They're easy to buy presents for at least.

Kirby's a dog person. Sam's a cat person. Tara sits on the fence.

Kirby is a recovering alcoholic who doesn't drink, Sam is a recovering alcoholic who does drink but only with her family. They keep a large stock of alcohol-free alternatives in the house.

If Kirby irritates her, Sam will just put her things on the top shelf.

Kirby has abused her position in the FBI to threaten so many people on behalf of the girls.

oOOOOOO THIS IS SUCH A GOOD SONG??? I can definantly see it fitting for SMG4 werewolf holy crap thank you for showing me! It's such a chill song in comparison to what I already had in mind for werewolf 4, most of what I had picked out already is loud as hell lmao. But this could definantely work for later on in his story once things are much more relaxed and under control, the ones I have in mind right now are for when he's going crazy stupid feral lol

I watched an mdzs animatic with a song from wicked, and something in my mind finally clicked and now I want to scream about how similar my current and my past hyperfixations are.

"Good news, the witch is dead!" like

"No good deeds" is such a "character pushed to their limits" song. Imagine it before the nightless city. The first scream, as Wen Ning and Wen Qing walk away. The chanting as he lies there, unable to move, praying for them to be well. Memories of people he loves: Jiang Cheng and Jiang Yanli, Lan Zhan, the Wen siblings.

"Was I really seeking good, or just seeking attention?" -- as he looks at the burial mounds and leaves.

"If I cannot succeed, Fiero, saving you, I promise no good deed will I attempt to do again." -- as he learns about Wen Qing and Wen Ning's death.

Ending with him arriving at Nightless city and pulling out the flute.

I want to see it animated so much!

My skills are so annoyingly not up to the task. Maybe if my hyperfixation survives long enough that I learn drawing and animating things well? It'll be the third mdzs animatic I really wish to do one day. Maybe one day.

I think the only ones that can enjoy TTPD is a specific group of ppl that can put up with her bullshit, cares more about lyrics than about the actual music, sees albums as a single project, knows the entirety of her discography and is more passionate about storytelling than about poetry. And that that's why most ppl have a hard time getting into it/immediately hates it.
