This started out as fluff I swear. How we ended up in the first war angst, I have no idea. I’m sorry.

When Remus was young, and his life had become governed by the moon, his mother always sang to him about the stars. Even now that she’s gone, he can still hear her voice singing Twinkle, twinkle, little star. He never understood the song until he met Sirius, a young boy who’s both confident and insecure, loud and quiet, obnoxious and kind. How I wonder what you are. And Sirius shined, just like his namesake, and everyone wanted him. He was beautiful, smart, and talented. How could they not? Up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky. And Sirius wanted him. At least he did, at some point. Now, Remus looks at his boyfriend from the edge of the bed, his boyfriend who had become distant, who barely spoke to him, whose thoughts he couldn’t decipher anymore. Sooo whenever you check the playlist you're gonna notice I added a Lot of Fall Out Boy to it. One song for each of their albums (... And a couple off a few EPs we loved as a teen). We're,, Kind of on a FOB kick right now, lol. Anywayyyy

You don't have to give us your opinions on all of those songs, but two specifically stand out to us that we wanna hear your thoughts on: You're Crashing, But You're No Wave, and Sophomore Slump Or Comeback Of The Year.

You're Crashing is our favourite off IOH and Sophomore Slump is our favourite off Corktree! Both are very important to us in their own ways—The chorus of You're Crashing is just... Wonderful. Very powerful sounding. The whole song has a powerful evocative energy to it but the chorus always gets us tbh. And Sophmore Slump is one of those songs that helped get us through highschool; the post-chorus and bridge mean the world to us. We misheard the final lyric in the post-chorus for a LONG while as "And I need to take a pill to make the sounds feel okay" which really aligned with how we experience synesthesia... We still prefer that lyric over the actual lyric, lmao.

HI CYGNUS!! i did see the Fall Out Boy additions!! i really love the sparse fob songs i know, but i don't actually go out of my way to explore their discography more closely, so it's delightful to listen to other ones, especially ones that are important to y'all!! :3

You're Crashing, But You're No Wave - REALLY LOVE THE GUITAR IN THIS!!! (<- always as expected for FOB hgkjg) i love how solemn but strong it is, how so many of the lyrics are sung :0 "THE VERDICT FALLS LIKE BACH-E-LORS FOR BAD LUCK GIRLS!" is sung so quick, and oooh the fuckin chorus :'0 baby boy can't lift his headache head~ :'] the choir rising on "Guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty~" this is a real funeral of a trial, a damnation. goddamn, really good!! :D

Sophomore Slump Or Comeback of the Year - something about this song sounds really classic boyband, im really fond of the vibe hfkjg YEAH, sometimes you mishear the lyric but its more meaningful anyway, so now that lyric is yours. they said "i hope you sing along and steal a line" and guess what, y'all did it, that's your line now!! /silly :3 hdgkjg im glad it helped y'all through high school, with the vibes of like, "are we growing up or just going down" i think that'd be relatable to high school me too hgkj <33 <22

LIFE HACK:

pov your sleep schedule is so fucked because you stay up till 4am reading fanfiction but you discovered that downloading fics and listening to them on a screen reader like a podcast while laying in bed makes you fall asleep a couple hours earlier (ok like 2am but that's still an improvement if you ask me),, also for people where reading a book is like watching a movie in your head simultaneously this makes the movie even more freaking vivid it's fun :)))

Yall please... ik me nd my little minons cannon hobie as more shy when he flirts, BUT HES SO TEMDER WITH KATH, Lucy inspired this bit and maybe Marly, but Hobie can sing, he performs on stage all the time wdym his voice doesn't get a lil raspy. But it's the little songs he does for her, she thinks it's so cheesy, she'd come home after going out, her whole body aches, kicking off her heels while Hobie is by the stove, slumping over he just beckons her to come near the hot stove to sit down,

He doesn't infantilise her, not at all, he knows how overstimulating it gets running about, the little questions of "can I touch you?" Or "do you need me to do this?" OUGH, after she's done and cleaned up, all they do is lay on the couch Hobie humming his song to try and hit a good high note, Kath gives him a little forehead kiss.
