WHICH BOLLYWOOD FILM CHARACTER IS YOUR FUTURE SPOUSE ?
Characters can be female/male, it's not gender specific, just focus on their personality.
Take a deep breathe and focus on your third eye chakra ✨️ pick a picture that calls you out.
Tumblr media
1 - 2 - 3
4 - 5 - 6
Pile 01 🪞
. . Aditya from Jab we Met💌
Tumblr media
Omg! The biggest Green Flag ever !
Your future spouse's personality is just like him. Romantic and sweet. He's always there for you, even in your bad times. You can always rely on him. He's a great friend too, listening to your likes and dislikes. You like his sense of humor the most haha.
Like every other human being, he has his own flaws too. But he works on them and becomes a better man for his highest good.
Message is that often in life when you hit rock bottom, there is only one way to go and that is UP. And just like Geet and Aditya, some trains are supposed to be missed, so that you hop into one that takes you to a better, happier and healthier destination.
Pile 02 🪔
. . Qais Bhatt from Laila Majnu 💌
Tumblr media
The way he looks at laila is amazing and heart throbbing. His love for laila is pure and serene. He is madly in love with her. Totally out of control but in a healthy way.
You both may be star-crossed lovers. They were Destined to love each other. Like the dailouge in the movie says —
" Our story has been destined. And neither the world nor the people can change it. "
There was something unique between you guys. You may know him/her since childhood or even a past life was shared by you together. You are twinflames or even soulmates. I can also see people were against you both due to many differences like religion or ethnicity, but your love never dies despite the circumstances.
Pile 03 🪞
. . Guru from Ek Villian 💌
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Guru is a typical bad boy from fictional stories. He's life is totally is chaos. Your fs would be like him personality wise, except the illegal or evil things portrayed by the character.
Your fs is someone who's sad and lacks purpose in life currently. But like in the movie, when guru meets Aisha, his life changes. And he tries to become a better person and lead a better life. It's like moving from the bad and fearful times to the good ones.
He would gain a purpose, and that is you. He'd love you but he won't say that quite often, his eyes would tell. The warmth and soft feeling when he looks into your eyes will melt you right away.
Pile 04 🪔
. . Dr. Jehangir from Dear Zindagi 💌
Tumblr media
Even though Dr. Jehangir was not an active love interest of Alia's character in the film, your fs would have the friendly and guide-like personality aspects of Dr. Jehangir in the movie.
Your fs would be a great listener. They may even belong the the medical field somehow. They'll drag you out of your worst situations in life. You two would share a comfortable, open and cozy bond together. Whenever you need some advice, they'll always be there for you.
I'm also getting that your fs can be your doctor or counselor at first. Or maybe just a great listener and giving you good advice.
Pile 05 🪞
. . Inder from Sanam Teri Kasam 💌
Tumblr media
He literally holds Saru on her deathbed till she takes her last breathe 😭 What a wonderful character he is!
He's literally the most selfless and giving person to the love of his life. Your fs would be like him, pile 5, you're so lucky ♡ Your fs may have some legal issues going on or they may be a lawyer, as the justice card came up.
What I'm seeing is, like saru in the movie, you too are often betrayed or belittled by your own loved ones. You are often deceived by others and your fs does not like it at all. They just want your happiness. Even after you die, (may god not let it be) they'll still love you. They will give you whatever they have, you just name it. Wow. I'm in love with this reading ;_; ♡
Pile 06 🪔
. . Jordan from Rockstar 💌
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Your fs is like Jordan from Rockstar. This movie is my personal favourite. Your fs is a heartbroken person, but when you arrive their life gets filled with happiness but when you leave their life burns into ashes. You may be twinflames.
There is something which holds you back from accepting this love between you both. You need to work on that fear.
I see your fs is famous, Despite being famous their heart yearns for love. There is still a void in their hearts Despite having money, power and wealth. Maybe they are waiting for you.
They are definitely an introvert and kind of famous online. Their heart burns with passion, very passionate and romantic individual. They may play an instrument or even sing. People like their rough and passionate personality.
Please like and rb if resonates !
I worked hard while making this so please show some love ❤️

Tumblr media
You were having second thoughts. You loved the man you were to wed, but you still weren’t sure if it was the right move for you. Logically, it made sense to marry him. He loved you, you loved him, your families got along… There were other things on the list, but your brain kept stopping there.
Okay, when he got down on one knee and proposed to you, that’s when things changed. You thought your proposal would be more heart fluttering— and he did his best to make it as romantic as possible, but your heart was not in it. You agreed to marry him because it was the best thing to say in that situation, and other than you being not mentally prepared to marry him, there was no other reason to say no.
So, you married him. You pushed through those second thoughts of yours and just did it. You were happy. Yes, you were happy with the man by your side because you knew that he would always make sure you were happy.
The second thoughts returned as the two of you sat side by side on a couch in front of the photographer. You were taking pictures with your wedding guests, and you had the same smile plastered to your face in every picture because you were spacing out to the point where you were having an out of body experience.
“Y/N?”
You were still in your head when the person called your name, and it took a reassuring squeeze on the shoulder for you to return to reality. You looked to the source of the squeeze and saw a man you had never met before, yet you felt like you knew him from somewhere. He shot you a small smile and asked softly, “Are you okay?”
“Y-Yeah!” you responded, the fake smile plastered to your face once more. “I’m sorry… Who are you? Have we met before?”
“Oh, I’m Jongho,” the man responded. “I work with your husband. And, no, we’ve never met before.”
“Well, it’s nice to meet you, Jongho. I hope you continue to work well with my husband in the future.”
“I know I’ll work well, the question is will your husband?” he chuckled.
“I want to say I have full faith that he will, but considering how often he dashed out of work to meet me for dates, I doubt it,” you couldn’t help but laugh as well.
“Honestly, who wouldn’t want to rush out of work? Especially when it’s to be with someone beautiful?”
Your heart fluttered. You were sure he was saying that in the way that people called the bride beautiful, but hearing that word out of his mouth had much more of an effect on you. You wanted to thank him, but the words were stuck in your throat. So, you bowed your head and hoped that he wouldn’t see the blush rise to your cheeks.
With another shoulder squeeze, Jongho stood right behind you and alongside a couple other people your husband worked with, and for that specific photograph, you had a genuine smile on your face.
That should’ve been the end of that. You never thought you’d meet him again, but fate has a funny way of working.
Tumblr media
Your life was great. One year into your marriage, and everything was great. You had an amazing husband, an amazing house, an amazing career— everything was great; even the sex was great (even if he demolished your body every time you fucked). Yet, something was off. You couldn’t figure out what it was, but there was a little nagging feeling in the back of your head that never seemed to leave.
“Don’t forget, we’re hosting the dinner tonight,” your husband reminded you.
“How could I forget?” you mumbled, your anxiety already beginning to sky rocket. “This is the first party…”
“And it’ll go great,” he immediately reassured you. “I’ll come home early to help out, okay?”
“Alright.”
With a kiss on your cheek, your husband took off for work, and moments later, you did as well.
You could barely focus at work. You were nervous as hell for this dinner. Apparently during a work party one day, your husband and some of his work friends decided it would be nice to get together on a Friday night, and it was decided that you and your husband would host the very first one of these get-togethers.
By the time you got home, you were exhausted. Your husband said he would come home early to help, but he texted you saying that he was going to be late, that “Wooyoung fucked something up again” which meant he was stuck at the office until he fixed it.
You started preparing for the dinner when the doorbell rang, and when you answered the door you saw Jongho holding flowers and a bottle of champagne.
“Oh! Hi, Jongho,” you greeted, immediately recollecting his name from the time you met him at your wedding.
“Hi, Y/N. May I come in?”
“Of course!”
“San told me he was going to bring Wooyoung, Wooyoung’s fiancée, and Mingi after they fixed up the thing Wooyoung messed up,” Jongho explained.
“Was it really that bad?” you asked.
“Let’s just say if this doesn’t get fixed tonight, Wooyoung’s pretty much done.”
“Yikes… Okay, well, you’re still pretty early, so have a seat and get comfy—”
“No, Y/N, I came to help you. San said that he was going to help you, but he’s stuck at the office, I offered to come help.”
Your heart skipped a beat. Perhaps it was the way Jongho phrased it, but the way he was talking was as if he wanted to help rather than San asking him to help.
“Well, I don’t see why not,” you said with a smile and a shrug. “Wanna help me prep the vegetables?”
Just like that, time flew by. You didn’t realize that you and Jongho were in the kitchen for three hours— you were waiting for your husband and his coworkers for three hours— because you were so busy talking the whole time. He kept telling you stories about his past, and you were sucked into them because he was just so good at storytelling.
During dinner as well, you found yourself wanting to talk to Jongho more than your own husband. There was just something about him, something about his laugh, his smile, his energy— he was so different from your husband to the point where you almost found it refreshing, as if after one year of marriage somehow made your relationship go stale.
“You seemed to enjoy the dinner a lot tonight,” San commented as you got ready for bed.
“R-really? I hadn’t noticed,” you said, your nerves starting to prick at you for absolutely no reason.
“And you were so nervous about it too,” he laughed. “See, I told you it’ll go great, and it did. Thank God Jongho was there to help you otherwise I know you would’ve set the kitchen on fire.”
“Yes… Thank God,” you murmured. “We should thank him.”
You got into bed and got comfortable under the covers, and immediately, San’s arms reached out for you, and he brought you into a hug. He buried his nose in your hair and sighed deeply, happily. You thought you were going to be able to sleep that night peacefully, but San has other plans. You felt his waist roll into yours, a little grunt escaping the depths of his throat.
He wanted to have sex. You? Not so much, but when it came to sex, San was an unstoppable force. It wasn’t like he was forcing you, but rather you were trying to reciprocate and serve your purpose in this marriage.
This time, however, you were able to because all you could think about while your husband made love to you was Jongho.
Tumblr media
You were grateful for these parties that your husband and his work friends came up with. They were a great way to unwind after a stressful week at work, and you got to see Jongho.
Every time you saw Jongho, your heart skipped a beat, fluttered, raced— it reacted to him and only him. Even when you were in bed with your husband, you couldn’t get into the mood with him unless you were thinking about Jongho and what it would be like if he made love to you.
It got to a point where you even considered divorcing San just to be with Jongho, but you instantly felt horrible even thinking along those lines. If you left San for his coworker, that would ruin everything. So, you had to settle for fleeting moments and stolen glances while hoping that the feelings would fade sooner or later.
San started working late every single day at some point. He hated that he was leaving you alone for so long and would complain to his coworkers about it, and Jongho used those days where San would be buried in work to visit you and keep you company so that you weren’t all alone in your big house.
The more time you spent with Jongho, the stronger your feelings got, and you knew that you were definitely falling in love with him. You had feelings for him that you never felt for your husband, which finally made you understand what you were missing in your life— and as cheesy as it sounds, it was true love.
One night, you and Jongho were having dinner together when you got a call from San. You excused yourself and went to your bedroom to take the call, not wanting Jongho to hear the conversation between you and your husband.
“Hi, Sannie,” you forced his nickname out of you as you sat down on your bed.
“Hi, my love,” San sounded exhausted on the phone. “I have no idea when this will get resolved… I think I’m going to crash at Wooyoung’s tonight.”
“Alright, don’t work yourself too hard,” you told him.
“Thank you. I love you.”
You choked on the words. Your eyes flitted to Jongho, who was standing under the door frame, an unreadable look on his face as crossed his arms over his chest he leaned against the door. You bit your lower lip before uttering out the words you had to say but didn’t mean.
“I love you, too.”
San hung up first, your hand slowly lowering to your lap as you heard the beeping of the call ending. You sighed softly and raised your eyes to make eye contact with Jongho once more.
“Y/N,” he uttered. “It hurts me to see you lie like this…”
“I have no choice.” You lowered your gaze and looked at the wedding band on your finger. “He’s my husband.”
Jongho approached you and sat on the bed next to you, his hand reaching for yours. You should’ve stopped it, but your body craved his touch even in the most minimal way.
“You need to stop lying to yourself,” Jongho whispered. “You need to say those words and actually mean it, not just to keep up an act.”
“It’s not so simple, Jongho—”
“You need to relearn the meaning of those words. You need to know what it’s like when someone you actually love says those words to you.”
“Please don’t—”
“I love you.”
You didn’t want him to say it because you knew the second he did, your heart would be his, and the second he did, your heart yearned for him. Your heart begged to tell him the words back, but your mind wouldn’t let you.
“Jongho…” your voice wavered.
“I seriously am in love with you, and I can’t deny my feelings for you any longer. I don’t think you can either.”
He held your hand and laced his fingers with yours as he leaned towards you and tucked your hair behind your ear, his fingers tracing a line along your jaw and tilting your chin up.
“Let’s stop lying to ourselves…”
“I can’t…”
“Y/N…”
“Jongho…”
The look in Jongho’s eye and the way he was holding you was enough. You overruled the logic in your brain and leaned into him, his lips meeting yours feverishly. His hand moved to caress your cheek while the other one moved up your back slowly, his fingers gliding over the satin fabric of your dress shirt.
You sighed softly as his lips left yours and traveled down your neck, his fingers nimbly unbuttoning the buttons of your blouse, revealing your skin little by little. He slipped the shirt off you completely then swiftly removed your bra, his lips trailing kisses down until he reached your tit. He latched on and sucked hard, your arms quickly wrapping around him as you moaned lightly.
“J-jongho,” you whispered, your hand cupping his cheek.
He looked up at you with the softest eyes that nearly made you cry. Seeing the tears beginning to prick at your eyes, Jongho immediately pressed his lips against yours. He cupped your face and kissed you softly over and over again as he pushed you back slowly until your back was pressing against the mattress and your head was on top of the pillows.
Jongho straddled you and sat back onto his heels before slowly removing his shirt, his toned muscles glistening under the moonlight as he moved forward. He placed his thumb lightly on your lips and tugged your lower lip down as his other hand got you out of your bottoms and panties. His thumb continued to play your lips while his other hand stroked your folds, your back arching as electricity ran through your body just with his simple touch. You held onto his shoulders as you whimpered softly, your toes starting to curl into the sheets the longer he teased you.
“Jongho, I need you inside me,” you whispered as you looked at him through hazy eyes.
He responded by kissing your temple and giving you a tiny nod. “Protection?” he asked.
Leaning over, you pulled open the nightstand drawer and grabbed a condom. Jongho ran his fingers along your arm sensually to take it from you. Without a moment to lose, he rid himself of his pants and underwear before he tore the packet open and rolled the condom on, his cock twitching as it anticipated entering you. He lowered himself so that he was pinning you down, his hand positioning his cock at your entrance.
Jongho cock was thick— so thick, in fact, that you thought he was going to tear your pussy. You pushed your head into the cushions and moaned loudly, your hands grabbing onto his arms for support. You heard him groan as he shoved his thick cock all the way inside you, your walls clenching as you tried to adjust to his girth. He dropped his head into the nook of your neck and let out another groan, his cock staying in place.
In the time you had known and spent time with him, you never noticed the little freckle on his neck. Now, seeing his neck up close, you got a beautiful view of it, and you were entranced. You traced your nail lightly along his neck, making the man look at you with the most gentle eyes you had ever seen.
“Beautiful,” you murmured.
Jongho blushed slightly upon the compliment, his cock bulging in you as it also responded to the compliment. When he moved his hips away, the pleasure only increased, making you want him more desperately. You reached for his neck and brought his face to yours, your lips briefly brushing against his before you pressed your forehead to his, light gasps leaving the two of you as Jongho started to properly move.
You honestly had no idea the amount of power Jongho had until he started to fuck you for real. He went from tenderly rolling his body into yours to fully ramming his cock deep inside you, the force of his waist against your ass pushing you backwards. Before your head to could hit the headboard, Jongho placed his hand on the top of your head and left it there as he continued to thrust powerfully.
When he dropped from his hand to his elbow, his cock changed angles, and he was rubbing along your G-spot over and over again to the point where you felt euphoria coming at you like a truck. You wrapped your legs around his waist and bit your lower lip to keep your moans to a minimum, but you failed when your vision went white and your cunt convulsed.
“Fuck,” Jongho grunted as he felt your walls squeeze him so hard he felt like his dick was about to break off. “I’m cumming.”
Running your fingers through his hair, your brought his face to yours once more and kissed him sweetly before he released his load in you, his cock throbbing and getting bigger some how as his cum spurt into the condom.
Jongho remained inside you as he dropped his head into the nook of your neck, his nose rubbing gently against your skin and his hot breath tickling your collarbone. He hugged you tightly, your arms wrapping around him in response, the two of you laying side by side as your pants returning to normal breaths. He then pushed your hair away from your face and left a fleeting kiss on your lips.
“Oh God, Y/N… I love you. I love you so much…”
You shouldn’t have said it, but he was right— you had to stop lying to yourself.
“…I love you, too, Jongho.”
Tumblr media
The two lines on the test sent a chill down your spine. You were pregnant, and it just had to be San’s child because you and Jongho used protection. There was no way it was his kid. Hands trembling, you dialed Jongho’s number to give him the news first.
“Jongho… We made a huge mistake,” you started crying the second he picked up.
“Y/N, what’s wrong?”
“I’m pregnant… San and I are expecting…”
Jongho immediately knew what that meant. He stayed quiet on the line as you quietly sobbed. He sighed and said sadly, “Well, it’s a good thing I took this promotion, then.”
“What do you mean?”
“I got promoted. I’m transferring to another branch. I… I’ll be in another country.”
You covered your mouth with your hand and choked back more tears. There were too many emotions swirling around in your head, and you couldn’t bare the thought of vocalizing any of them.
“Congratulations,” Jongho whispered. “I wish you and San all the happiness in the world.”
“Jongho, wait—”
But it was too late. Jongho hung up. He made his decision, and subsequently decided your own future as well. It was done, and the only thing you could do now was focus on your marriage.
You broke the news to San a couple days later. You went to the clinic just to really make sure you were pregnant before deciding to tell San, and seeing the results on paper just made the whole situation much more real.
“San,” you said quietly as you sat across from him at the dining room table, the papers from the clinic tight in your grasp. “I have news.”
“Yes?”
You unfolded the papers and timidly slid them across the table. You and San had talked about kids in the past, but you had no idea how he was going to react about you being pregnant at this stage in your lives.
Out of all the reactions he could’ve had, though, the one he actually had was not one you were expecting at all. You watched as all of the light from his eyes faded and his face grew grim and dark. He looked up at you, glaring at you as his lips pulled into a tight frown.
“Is this real?” he asked, his voice lower than you’ve ever heard it before.
“Yes.”
“Who’d you fuck? Jongho?”
Your eyes shot wide open. Your jaw dropped, and you tried to pull yourself together before stammering, “W-what do you mean, San? I haven’t—”
“Yes, you did. So tell me. Who the fuck did you sleep with?”
“Do you really thing I would—”
“I know you cheated, Y/N,” San cut you off, his anger growing.
“And how are you so sure?”
“I only fire blanks.”

The subversion of faen fatale in Last Twilight; and why I love it
Can I just talk for a moment how much I appreciate P'Aof dismantling faen fatale tropes, as well as the notion of 'guys and girls can't be close friends' that is so prevalent in Asian society? Because not only did he do a fabulous job with Ink in Bad Buddy, but he's going above and beyond with it in Last Twilight. We have Gee, who could have so easily been someone who was interested in Day, and come in between their relationship (I was praying for her to not turn out to be a faen fatale when she was introduced). But instead, she's a great friend to Day, and she helps him regain another piece of his life by pushing him to join her at the bar. And then we have Porjai. She's Mhok's ex girlfriend, and the narrative has presented chance after chance for her to regain feelings for Mhok, and present problem for Mhok and Day in so many different ways, but none of them were ever taken.
And part of this feels very intentional to me. Showing us two female characters that could have very easily become barriers to the relationship, they didn't. We see it in the preliminary interactions between Day and Gee, where there's some time where Gee's character could have easily gone one of two ways. And you will not believe how immensely relieved I was when the show made it abundantly clear that Gee is a friend to Day, and nothing more. Similarly, Porjai is introduced to us as Mhok's girlfriend, and later as his ex. It would have been so easy for her to 'catch feelings again', like when Mhok comes to her aid with her ex (forgot his name, won't bother reminding myself). I feel like the show is trying to put the point forward that guys and girls can be friends, and that the girl doesn't always have to be a homewrecker.
And let me tell you this, I absolutely adore that P'Aof is doing this. The trope of female homewreckers, (or faen fatale as we like to call them) is extremely prevalent not only in bls, but in asian media in general. I've seen it everywhere, from bollywood movies to add drama, to serials that have been running for half my lifetime, to keep the viewers watching. I've watched it enough times to have a genuine hatred of it. There's a number of issues with the trope that I'm not going to get into right now, but I'm sure you're all familiar with. But the greatest point is, that it often takes away from a good story. It's a tired trope that serves only to add drama and disinterest the viewers from the story. Last Twilight (and Bad Buddy too) has had a very concrete storyline from the start. The purpose and aim of this story have been clear from the beginning, and in the most recent episode, the show has started to dig a little deeper into Day and Mhok's stories, relationship, and shown us how they're growing together. A faen fatale would absolutely ruin the slow, delicate journey these two are on of growing together, which is where I come to August.
Honestly, I was a little afraid when I realized that Day liked August. Because Day and Mhok have been slowly, but surely growing closer, and they're slowly letting down walls built up due to grief, and loss. But August only serves to help us further understand Day. I'm struggling slightly to put this into words, but in the single episode we had with August, I've learned so much more about Day, and how he works. And, his introduction also highlighted Mhok's caregiving instinct once more, his tendency to always put Day first. There are rare instances when introducing a past crush does so much for a story (another being Bad Buddy, P'Aof the wonder that you are), and I'm absolutely eating this up.
The last scene absolutely crushed me in a way that only Ep 5 [4/4] bls by P'Aof can. Once again, the resubversion of the Faen Fatale trope. When I first saw August, my first reaction was expecting faen fatale, 'and now he's going to take away Day's attention and Mhok's going to leave the flower and we'll all be sad". Well, the last part happened but it was so much more heartbreaking the way it was done. Once again, proving how much better a story can be without the trope that with. I won't lie, I'm still scared about how the knowledge that Day likes August will impact Mhok's actions toward Day. But, it's more of a fear for the characters, and less of a fear for the narrative, as in I'm not afraid that it will take away from the story.
Bad Buddy holds a legacy for subverting an innumerable number of tropes, and I'm glad to see that Last Twilight is holding it's own in the department too. The purposeful subversion of faen fatale made my heart incredibly happy (have you noticed how much I hate this trope? You probably have. I'm sick of it. Most Indian kids are)
Side note- I've seen a number of posts ghostshipping Gee and Porjai, and while it may not be very plausible, we did get InkPa, so it's never impossible

Seventeen as Bollywood Characters
a/n: i keep seeing people do this on Instagram and Twitter and i wanted to try it too
tw: a bit of swearing.
Scoups - Ram Prasad Sharma (Main Hoon Na)
Okay so you remember how srk was all older brother in this movie yeah scoups for sure. Also I love the dynamics between Ram and Lakshman (Very scoups and dino also maybe mingyu coded) . Plus i just think he's a shy awkward dork in everyday life but would have this alt cool persona. Also him being an idiot in love? SIGN ME UP!
Jeonghan - Prem Sharma (APKGK)
Prem was a sweetheart in Ajan Prem ki Gazab Kahani. He is so jeonghan coded cause like he wants everyone to be happy duh he's the president of Happy club but he's also mischievous and just ready to bend the rules to make people he cares for happy. Comes off as this cocky idc person but is the biggest softie.
Joshua - Raj Malhotra (DDLJ)
Okay so you remember Srk with the ukele in the mustard fields YEAH THAT'S JOSH. Except he's most probably playing Sunday morning. He's the gentleman (Sometimes) who is a little crazy. Very Raj coded he's fun and flirty and funny but can also be serious if the situation demands it. A big family guy and your family's approval matters a lot. The only difference is that he'd charm your parents in seconds no Jaa simran Jaa for you your parents approved 10 mins after they met him.
Jun - Jai Singh Rathore (Jaane tu ya jaane Na)
Jun is a baby but ykw so is jai. Jai is the pinnacle of the imran Khan romcom universe he's sweet caring funny and wierd oh and also oblivious which also describes jun very well.Hes in love with his bestfriend (LOVE THAT HE CALLS HER MEOW MY CAT!JUN AGENDA IS WINNING)but doesn't realise that until she starts seeing someone else I love the jealousy and confusion .Plus this whole thing plays into my childhood best friends to lovers trope i see jun as.
Hoshi - Rocky Randhawa (Rocky Aur Rani ki Prem Kahani)
Tumblr media
This Outfit Ik Hoshi would love it. Okay Hoshi is a himbo he's cute funny and a little bit dumb(lovingly) and that's very Rocky coded. Also I just see him as this doofus in love who will do anything and everything to keep you happy. also I just want him to say "handle with care I'm a fragile". Very emotionally intelligent. He may not know much about current affairs but he does know how to make you smile.
Wonwoo - Rohit Mehra (Koi Mil Gaya)
Okay hear me out on this one.I started thinking about parallels here but all began with that meme Maa mujhe sab dikh Raha hai but Rohit and wonwoo are pretty alike they are kind sensitive but confident people who love and care openly. He may be shy but he'll express his care and affection anyways. Also his jaadu is dino.
Woozi - Arjun Saluja (ZNMD)
They both are hot workaholics. Also just like Arjun learnt to live a little and enjoy life on the Spain trip I feel woozi did that during the Nana tour. They both can come off as the I don't like fun grumpy types but once they get into the mood of relaxing and having fun they become the life of the party. Both have that annoying friend who they hate lovingly (Hoshi and Imraan).
Dokyeom - Rohan Raichand (K3G)
Tumblr media
This GIF is very Dk coded. I feel Raichand brothers are very puppy coded but they are puppies like dokyeom and not mingyu (I'm not making sense am i?). He's the younger brother he's hot he's funny and he's a tease. This is Also because I feel dokyeom and Hrithik Roshan just look alike. Also very emotional likes just keeping everyone happy. Boyfriend Material through and through.
Mingyu - Adithya Kashyap (Jab we met)
I know what you guys are thinking that Adithya is this quieter soft character whereas mingyu is a big happy clingy puppy. Ik but I also have a theory so basically we see Adithya being all sad because shit has happened in his life but after geet heals him he's this happy and joyful person which makes me think that it was how he was before he felt let down by everyone and that happy joyful persona he has is like mingyus mingyu is optimistic and kind and caring he also is emotionally intelligent and very aware of what people around him are feeling and that's very Adithya coded.
Minghao - Aman Mathur (Kal ho na ho)
Yes. Minghao has that I'll do anything for Love vibe. While aman may be more outgoing I feel at core that Minghao and Aman are same people. Also Minghao seems like the person who will fall for Naina but then help her call for someone else.Makes people delulu but are very anti delulu duo.
Seungkwan - Baburao Ganpatrao Apte (Hera Pheri)
Honestly at first i considered Meenamma(Chennai Express) or Poo(K3G) for seungkwan but then i remembered Baburao. I'll fight for the BSS X HERA PHERI UNIVERSE. Also I feel they both have the same level of sass. Also the way Baburao and Raju behave ? that's Hoshi and seungkwan right there. Fucking funny both of them.
Vernon - Ranchhodas Chanchal (3 Idiots)
Normally I'd say BSS are all the 3 idiots aka Rancho, Farhan and Raju but I feel Vernon is a lot more like Rancho. He's smart intuitive and loyal to a fault person. Also I feel the whole thought process that Rancho had for learning ? yeah that's Vernon he learns what he enjoys, he's chill he's laid back just like Rancho. Plus i think he'd also wonder whether the nose comes in the middle while kissing.
Dino - Lakshman Sharma (Main hoon Na)
Tumblr media
Okay I present you this gif. The minute i saw it my first thought was how dino coded the character is. The character is this younger brother who comes off as this non caring idgaf about anything but having fun but is actually very sad emo at times which I feel is also dino dino does things for the plot but he's a very old soul at heart. Plus I love the dynamics between lakshman and ram aka scoups and dino so heheh ig?
a/n: Desi brainrot is here guys tell me what y'all think

people we meet on vacation - jeong yunho
Tumblr media
pairing -> jeong yunho x gender neutral!reader. (they/them used)
summary -> after bumping into what you call, the love of your life at a vaction once, you found that there was no way to find out more about him. 4 years later, when you've lost all hope, you finally find him and he's your boyfriend's bestfriend.
genre -> slice of life kinda (?), strangers to lovers.
warnings -> a bunch of curses, a tattoo, mingi is a real dick (sorry, had to be <3), it goes back and forth between the past and present a lot but its all labelled that's all though.
word count -> 4255 words.
a/n -> this fic isn't in anyway related or inspired by the book of the same name by emily henry, it's just that the title of the book went along with the fic's themes so i rolled with it :) a tiny, tiny part of it has been inspired by the first half of the bollywood movie, tamasha. and and, lastly, all the translations were taken from google translate so if you find any mistakes you know who to blame. ok bye, enjoy.
Tumblr media
PRESENT, SEOUL, 2023.
“Are you ready, babe?”
Mingi calls out from the living room, tying up the laces to his boots. You took one last glance at yourself in the mirror and then called out in agreement.
“Let’s go,”
when you're in the car with him, you look out of the window, watching the daylight completely drown out slowly. and then you look at your boyfriend, who is focused on driving. you're both going to his friend's birthday dinner and since it’s only been about 2 months of you both dating, it is one of the first time you're meeting his friends, having heard a lot of great things about them already.
he notices you looking at him and gives you a smile before giving his full attention to the road again.
mingi isn’t a bad person, you know that. but for some reason, there has been no one who'd been able to catch your attention fully or make you stay for even a month. the 2 month mark with mingi was a huge thing for you.
But then you visibly wince when you remind yourself about the texts.
Never could you ever imagine that your tendency to never commit to anyone would bite you back in this form.
When you finally feel secure enough with someone, you find out that they’ve been cheating on you.
Mingi wasn’t a bad person, you convince yourself. It was just your karma.
when you reach the parking lot of the restaurant, mingi tells you to wait, he unbuckles his seatbelt and then gets out of his seat and slams the door shut and runs to get yours.
when you give him your hand, he kisses it gently, whispering a little into your ear.
"my angel looks so pretty tonight,"
and he holds out his arm for you to clasp yours into.
"ever the gentleman," you kiss his cheek.
as you enter through the glass doors of the hotel, you spot a lot of people, a bunch of foreigners going about, someone trying to check in, and people like yourself, here just for dinner.
"excuse me, what way is the banquet?" mingi asks on the front desk.
"oh, are you mr. kim's guests?"
"yes, yes,"
"straight from here, last room on the right,"
"okay, thank you,"
"___, can you go ahead? i need to take this call, i'll be there in 5,"
"let me wait for you?"
"oh, just introduce yourself, i really gotta take this,"
you were a little irritated (understatement) but decided to go ahead anyway, what’s the worst that could happen anyway?
and as you step inside the white tiled room with a huge chandelier in the middle, and golden lit lights, you think you might be dreaming.
no, not because of the ambience. but because of the person sitting there, looking up at you, as surprised as you were.
Tumblr media
PAST, CURÇAO ISLANDS, SUMMER, 2019.
"who? what? why?"
"well, i don't know, i didn’t he would show up here when i told him we were coming here,"
"oh god,"
to say you were exhausted would be an understatement. your friend, jae-i and her "situationship" with the university playboy, kim sungwon was famous and you hoped that you could try to get her away from him during this vacation but turns out, old habits die hard. she claims she only told him that she was going for a vacation and apparently, he was here and "begging for forgiveness," because he deeply thought about how wrong his actions were.
"you know what, do whatever you want to, because to hell with our vacation, and don't you dare come to me when he breaks your heart again,"
you slam the door and get out. you weren’t that harsh and you did feel like you went overboard but she needed it. you would come back later anyway.
The bar was a couple blocks away from the cottage that you’d rented and it was right on the beach, a bunch of wooden chairs and tables and people enjoying their exotic coloured drinks, each one of them speaking in different languages.
Speaking of languages, you weren’t quite sure of dutch. You knew the typical “hallo (hello),” and “ik ben nieuw hier (i’m new here),” but the basics was where it ended.
“Um, hi,”
“waar kan ik je mee helpen (how can i help you)?”
“English?”
He made a disappointed face. “No english, de werknemer die Engels kent, heeft pauze (the employee who knows English is on break),”
With a mental facepalm, you realize you’d even left your phone and wallet back where jae-i was, and you had no intention of facing her, especially if there was a possibility that the asshole would be there, and there was no point in trying to order without money anyway.
“Nevermind, Bedankt (thank you),” he snickers at your accent but nods anyway.
“Oh no, no, let me get that for you,” a tall man, absolutely gorgeous, with the looks of someone who could easily pass off as a well known celebrity appears beside you.
“What do you want?”
“Its fine, i was just leaving,”
“Relax, i’m not a creep, just trying to help, you can pay me back later,”
“Oh, well, okay,”
A few minutes later, you and the handsome stranger were both seated on the wooden stools, he was taking in the sun without a lot of struggle since he brought sunglasses, meanwhile you, well, let’s just say it was a bad day for you.
a little away from the arrangement of chairs there was a live band, some music playing as a couple danced, and then later the others joined as the tune got more upbeat.
As you sipped on the oddly coloured drink you’d seen a lot of people drinking, he turns to you, “so what’s your story?”
“Ah, well, i came here with my friend thinking it would be a little time before she could be away from her shitty ex, but guess what? He’s here,”
“Interesting story, i mean, sucks for you, but, it’s a nice plot,”
“Is that so? What’s yours?”
“Not much of a story, my one of my friends is getting married in september and the other is going to take over as ceo of his father’s company after this summer so we all decided on this trip as something of a milestone,”
“It would get harder to meet after this so,”
“Oh got it, got it,”
"wait, we never exchanged names,"
“I’m yunho,”
“I’m ____,”
he gets up, "in my opinion, You know, what you should do? Enjoy your trip, not everybody has a chance to take a trip like this and you really can’t let your friend ruin it for you,”
You think it up. “Ofcourse,”
He asks for your hand as he puts down his own glass.
You’re almost about to slip your hands into his but then you hesitate, “but wait, don’t you have your own group of friends to worry about?”
“I think seven adult men can enjoy life without me. Besides, it’s not everyday I bump into someone like you or presented with an opportunity like this one.” he winks.
Far away, the sun shows signs of weakening and giving into the sea, the music that’s steadily shifting to more mellow tunes and the noise of the sea gulls.
Yunho takes your hand and guides you to the open space, a couple of people are dancing but the attention from the crowd focuses on you both as you laugh at yunho’s actions. He attempts to spin you and the crowd cheers at that, the beats become more and more danceable.
His hands are on your waist, and his eyes, those eyes. They stare right into yours as you dance. Even though you shrug it off with your laughs, you can feel the spark. And then he’s close, way too close to be with a stranger that you just met, and instead of facing him, you just lean your head onto his chest and close your eyes.
“Kiss already,” someone from the band shouts.
And then you look up at him, “what do we do?”
“Only if you want to,”
His words repeat in front of you again, “...it’s not everyday i bump into someone like you or presented an opportunity like this one,”
You close your eyes and reach up to him, it honestly catches yunho by surprise but it’s over almost as suddenly as it is initiated. A peck. But it was more romantic than any kiss he’s shared with anyone.
Tumblr media
PRESENT, SEOUL, SUMMER, 2023.
"hey, you came with mingi right? oh my god, you’re gorgeous, how did he even score you? i'm wooyoung, by the way,"
"i'm _____," you blush, this man certainly knew how to make a fist impression.
"Where's mingi? is it his manners to leave his date alone?"
to which you let out a chuckle, "he got a really important call, he'll be here in a bit though,"
"let me keep you company then, and fulfill mingi's duty of introducing you to the others."
a few people are gathered on the far end of the table opposite from you and a few are sitting on the table already engrossed in a conversation except one of them who looks at you, eyes fixated.
“That is our friend yunho, san and his mate, milo.”
Yunho. Him. fate. There were so many things going in your mind right now, all of the memories, him paying for your drink, spending the entire day with him, forgetting that a thing like a mobile even existed, it was so funny that you both met again. There were almost zero chances, after you came back from your trip, you searched every nook and cranny of social media from whatever information you had of him, scanned every public setting, just in hopes that somehow, just somehow you bump into him again. And unfortunately, this is how you meet.
“Hey,” he extends his hand. Does he remember all of that? Given it was not more than even a day spent together, but it impacted you, did it impact him?
There was like an unspoken agreement to not mention that you’d met before, because you’d not seen a lot of his friends on the trip neither had they seen you nor had yunho ever seen jae-i, all because of that stupid agreement.
You try searching for recognition in his eyes, but mingi comes before you can try communicating with him even a little.
“Mingi! Dude, why’d you leave your date alone? Thank god i was around to help,”
Mingi looks at you, “so you’ve already met them, i see,” and takes your hand into his, and never have you ever wanted to pull your hand back from someone this badly, because you look at the subtle way yunho’s eyes flit to the clasped hands and he backs away.
-
“Hongjoong,”
The said person is too deep in conversation with someone yunho has never seen but has deduced that they’re most probably business partners.
He calls out to his friend again. And hongjoong looks at him, he mutters a “please,” and then steps away.
He’s careful not to be in the earshot of the group that wooyoung, mingi, you and san have created, they’re very curious to know you, someone mingi had been talking about for months, labelling his new date as his best ever.
“Oh, mingi’s here,” hongjoong notices as he steps to the side yunho is, “wait, yunho, i’ve seen-”
“Shhh, shut up, shut up, this is exactly why i brought you here, keep your mouth shut, mingi’s date, the one he’s been bragging about, is the person i fell in love with in the summer of 2019,” he releases his hand that he had been holding over hongjoong’s mouth.
he touches his elbow slightly, to remind his friend.
And the older guy doesn’t say anything.
“It’s just you who knows, so please, don’t tell anybody, and don’t let anybody know that you know them,”
“It’s just unbelievable,”
And hongjoong watches as they both look at you, he looks at the way yunho watches you. “I remember you being all miserable because you couldn’t find them,”
“Yes, it’s unbelievable but also unfortunate, i’d rather have they not met me at all than this,”
Hongjoong wishes he could have done something, but he doesn’t even know what to do. He wishes he could have taken his friend’s pain because it’s so cruel but he tries to cheer the other up instead, leads him to the dinner table and carefully diverts the conversation to anything but you and mingi.
Tumblr media
PAST, SUMMER, 2019.
"and i'm supposed to believe that?"
"i swear, i've never done it,"
"you've never ever fallen in love?" the stranger you met at the beach is clearly in disbelief over the fact that you've never been in love. it's after dinner that you're again here at the beach, walking on the shoreline.
"i don't think it's consciously my choice, it's just something that happens, i become obsessed with a person, i think that its love but then it wears down as fast as it comes."
"uh huh, okay, so you won't fall in love with me?"
you look up at him, his face lit up by the different shades of colours, the streetlight on your left, the headlights of the cars speeding past, and the lightings that are decorated on stalls at some stalls. he looks absolutely gorgeous but more than that, there's something in his eyes, that makes you feel like you actually could. you could actually dream about a forever, and this time maybe even fulfill it. was that possible?
but the realization that you're probably never going to meet again sets in and he looks away too, thinking the same thing maybe.
"nevermind, i'm sorry,"
"wait, yunho,"
he'a already a few steps ahead of you when you stop him, he looks back at you with a questioning look as you point to at something.
"a tattoo?"
you nod.
"you want to get a tattoo with me?"
"there should be at least a little something that i can recognise you by if we ever cross paths again,"
he looks at you in awe as you walk over there, determined to get a tattoo, with or without him.
as he follows you, he knows something very clearly, he'll do whatever you want. even if he doesn't know you, he knows that he's had a feeling of love. not entirely falling but a fleeting kind of. He doesn’t pay much attention and without giving it much thought, follows you.
"hey, yunho,"
he turns back, spotting hongjoong at a little distance from where he was standing, his friend walks closer to him and he has a bag full of beer bottles, clearly leaving to refill the party with their friends.
"we've been looking all over for you, buddy,"
"uh, i've.. found a friend,"
"where?" he points to the tattoo shop where you're talking to the guy, and swiping through designs.
"that's great, dude, about time you find someone,"
“Yeah, and i hope y’all don’t mind it,”
He tsks in reply, “they’re all shitfaced, they probably won’t last for more than an hour or so, and that’s when i can finally drink,” he points to the beer bottles.
"hey," you call out from your place, and interested to know the stranger standing beside your new friend, you walk up to them.
"you're?"
"i'm hongjoong,"
“Nice to meet you, hongjoong,” you give him a smile.
"you're getting a tattoo?" he asks.
"if yunho agrees,"
"yunho, hmmm, you should go ahead, do it,"
"oh, wait, hongjoong is a great artist, he can draw something for us," yunho suggests.
"well, if you want me to,"
and about an hour later, there’s half a butterfly on the area above the elbow on your right arm and the same location on his left arm.
"well, that was painful," you say, gripping your covered arm.
"you think?"
"but well, now i have something to remember you by so i'm not complaining," he adds.
which makes the both of you go silent again.
you want to ask him his number, but something stops you. Looking back you’re not so sure of what held you back but you wished, wished so bad that you’d taken some number, some contact anything. Heck, even an email address would have sufficed.
But thinking that you can probably search him up on instagram or snapchat or something, you don’t bother about it.
"let's meet here tomorrow? you're here right?"
you ask him, curious to know if he's into hanging out for another day.
"ofcourse, i'm craving some pancakes for breakfast,"
"we got it! let's have pancakes tomorrow,"
Tumblr media
PRESENT. SEOUL. 2023
"hey, i'm hongjoong,"
"oh, hongjoong,"
the man visibly pales over your mention of his name but you can't resist it, all of it is coming back to you in such a full swing and you can't even do anything about it, you should have just stayed home.
and then the tattoo, your bare arm left it being exposed, nobody would know its meaning but it just felt like an open wound right now and you wish you had some extra sleeves so you could just cover them up.
yunho is ignoring you, and as you are, too. but it keeps on poking you with a stick, the memory of all of it, and you shake your head, it was just a day, you cannot let it have so much effect over you. and it just killed you that you couldn't just drop mingi's hand and tell him that this was the man, this was the guy you had fallen in love with, for the first time and intensely and in the period of not even a day.
throughout the dinner, his friends keep trying to make you comfortable and so does mingi but every time he talks to you and you're forced to look away from yunho, it practically rips your heart apart and then the thought of going home and then again being apart from him. it just seemed like a nightmare.
hongjoong looked awkward as he tried his best to not let anything slip out of his mouth, he looked like a bad liar. and as you sit there on the dining table you realize that the guy who was getting married after the summer was hongjoong, and it was almost his 4 year anniversary soon. and the guy who was taking over a company was the obnoxious but sweet, wooyoung.
But yunho seemed different with them. When he was with you, that day, it felt like he would just about do anything without any remorse at all. And today, the tie around his neck felt too tight.
"excuse me, i need to go to the washroom," you needed some air.
"should i come?" mingi offers.
"i'll come too, i need to get some air, i'll help you find the way?"
the dining table doesn’t notice the way the air shifts around you both and mingi nods and carries on with his previous conversation with san but you walk up to the door with yunho walking behind you and keep walking until you've reached the far end of the corridor, where he pulls your hand to stop and then looks around and opens a door.
"that's a janitor's closet-"
"shhh," he quiets you down, there’s nobody who would hear you, but its just that he wants to look at you, quietly. think about that day again and again.
you look into his eyes again, the door has slits so the lobby lights spill into the room and parts of his are visible, including his eyes. the eyes you fell in love with, is that even possible, to fall in love with someone's eyes, or to fall in love with someone you just met for a day?
"why did you leave suddenly?"
"i-"
he places a finger on your lips, leaning towards you in the small, dark room filled with brooms and the smell of room freshners.
and his voice comes out as a whisper.
"i searched the entire island, all hotels, all the resorts, the airbnbs. there was not a single corner i hadn’t looked for you that day, where were you?"
"i had to leave, jae-i's family found out that she'd been with that jerk and they called us home immediately, and i tried finding you but i had to leave on the first flight that morning and i'm just so, so, so, sorry,"
he puts away his finger and sighs, "it's fine,"
"fate is such a bitch though,"
"you think?" you snicker.
"what do we do now?" he asks. a deafening silence follows.
"i'm going to leave,"
"again?"
you don't pay much attention to his comment.
"i'm going to get out of mingi's life because i obviously can't live with him knowing that i'm in love with one of his friends,"
"and what about us?"
you place a hand on his chest.
"there was no us, yunho, how can you even be with me like this? all we'll end up being is each other's worst secrets, i don't think i'd want that, i don’t think you would want that either."
he nods.
"you fell in love with me?"
"yes,"
his tears glisten with the light.
"i fell in love with you too, and that morning i was going to properly introduce myself, take you out on a proper date, tell you that my drunk self was just beyond crazy for the shit he'd pulled the day before. but i guess fate had other plans,"

A FEW WEEKS LATER, PRESENT, 2023.
a few weeks later, when he gets a text from mingi in the groupchat, yunho feels a stake through his heart even though it was his friend who just got dumped.
he's brushing his teeth, while he goes through the texts for the entire day. mingi writes, it's been days but i've been kinda busy so i just thought i'd let you all know.
and then a notification for a private group chat, something the others had a knack for doing when they wanted to spill some gossip on the recent event in the main group chat, this particular one was revived from last year's surprise party for mingi's birthday. so the gossip was about mingi.
it was san, "you know he deserved it, milo told me he saw him with some other girl in a hotel one day,"
Hongjoong : “really? He’s such a fool for doing that to y/n, they definitely deserve better,”
Now, that felt like a very personal jab.
The others express their opinion too, with wooyoung saying he kinda predicted it with the way mingi left you alone that day at hongjoong’s party and yeosang and some others concluding with “what can we do? It’s his life, hopefully, y/n is not hurt a lot,”
he facepalmed. why? why were the fates so fucked? was it possible any of his friends would have your number? would it be weird if he asked for the number of one of friends' ex lovers? god, the amount of bad luck he always seemed to have was astronomical.
Hongjoong called him right after the texts ended.
“You, my friend, have the worst luck in the entire world,”
“Shut up, don’t rub it in,”
he lays down on his bed, tired from the day. It was only 7 pm but he felt like it would be better if he just slept.
“We should have lunch tomorrow, by the way, my treat,”
“We’re not having a pity party for me, joong.”
Just then the doorbell rings. “Wait, hold on, i have a visitor,”
He puts the phone on the shoe rack and walks over to open the door. when he opens, he sees the white bag before he can figure out its you. because you've shielded your face with it.
“Oh shit, shit, shit,”
when you move it out and finally take a look at yunho's face, he takes a minute to register it's you.
and he grabs you into a hug as soon as he realizes. guess his luck isn’t that bad even.
Hongjoong, still on the call and listening over, is concerned for yunho. “Hello? Yunho? Who is that? Yunho??? Answer me? Is someone stabbing you?”
after he realizes he's almost blocking your windpipe and realizes it's rude to just cry in the looby of your apartment complex, he invites you in and properly takes a minute for his emotions to settle down.
Meanwhile, hongjoong has ended the call and resorted to calling again, so yunho can pay attention to his phone.
“Hello?”
“Oh my god, you’re alive,”
“I’m alright.”
And you walk over, looking at the caller ID, decide to introduce yourself, “hey, hongjoong, remember me? You drew my tattoo for me?”
“Yunho, what the fuck, man?”
“Don’t blame him, he didn’t know i was coming. And i stole his address from mingi, at least he was of some use,”
“Woah,” the older man is clearly surprised but then cuts the call after telling you both to not lose this chance and that he will talk to yunho tomorrow.
“So,” yunho says, you’re both in the kitchen, your white bag placed on the counter. “What is this?”
“We never got to have those pancakes,”

Bollywood is Hindi cinema, an entire genre of movies and television shows that are usually in Hindi and tend to contain extremely dramatic fight scenes, colorful dance numbers and are mainly love stories. Bollywood is basically the Indian version of Hollywood, but is well-known and loved in many European and Asian countries. Pavitr, being a Hindi-speaking boy living in India, would 100% watch Bollywood movies or serials. Bollywood serials tend to be very dramatic and corny, which is where I got this HC from!!
The Spider-Gang (spider-teens??) watching a Bollywood Serial!!
Pavitr would be the one who recommended the serial to the gang in the first place. Whenever he's not being Spider-man, hanging out with Gayatri or doing schoolwork, he's watching these corny serials with his Aunt, who always has one playing in the background while she does work. He finds them extremely entertaining and gets pretty emotionally invested in them after a while. He thought that watching this serial with his friends would be a fun way for them to bond over something that isn't that serious.
Gwen would be the kind to get extremely emotionally invested in these serials. From the beginning to the end, she's completely on her toes and fully follows the storylines of all the characters. When she can't watch the show, she calls Pav and asks about the latest episode and makes him give her extremely detailed explanations on all the events that happen in the episodes she missed, no matter how uneventful they were. She seems like the type that would cry if one of the characters died, even if it was a very silly death.
Miles thinks they're extremely similar to the telenovelas his mom and abuela watch, and therefore doesn't take them as seriously as Gwen does because he's seen series like them before. He'd watch them because his friends are watching them, and because Gwen likes it, probably wouldn't have watched it on his own time. He does however get emotionally invested in specific characters. Unlike Gwen, he doesn't care about the entire show, but when something happens to that one character he likes, he goes ballistic.
Hobie thought it was the funniest thing he's ever seen. He seems like the type who'd keep talking during a movie, saying stuff like "That can't even happen in real life" or "how is that even possible?" and would be an absolute pest when you're trying to enjoy the episode. Pav's probably tells him to shut up at least ten times per episode, and he begrudgingly folds his arms over his chest and watches. Even then, he does low-key enjoy watching it, no matter how unrealistic it may be. He thinks their problems are funny.
Margo thinks they're very boring and slow-paced compared to what she's used to. She's the type to like fast-paced action movies and nearly falls asleep whenever the gang is watching these episodes. She does however, like making fun of the dramatic entrances of the "bad guys" in the series, like the mother-in-law, step-mother, etc...and finds them very funny. She and Hobie are constantly talking about how unrealistic the series are to the point where the rest of the gang have to kick them out while so they can continue watching in peace.
Bonus (not a part of the spider-gang but wanted to include anyway):
Miles-42, an avid telenovela fan, gets just as emotionally invested in the shows as Gwen. Although he wouldn't cry while watching it, he would definitely feel very sad the rest of the day if something bad happened to one the characters in the series. He'd mope around and would be tapping his leg in frustration while he waits for the next episode to come out so he can find out what happened to his favorite character (no matter how obvious it is)
Maitreyi (my spider-sona), like Margo finds it a little bit boring. She's more of a fast-paced movie kind of gal and only watches it because Pav, Gwen and Miles like it. She doesn't tend to get invested in the show but every once in a while, a character that she really likes will show up and she'll be a little bit more excited to watch it than usual. She stands while she watches TV though, she doesn't like sitting down, it feels too vulnerable. So while the rest of the gang is all cuddled up in blankets on the couch, getting ready to watch, she's just standing there like 🧍‍♀️ "turn it on"

Last Twilight - Ep 12
I really gave this series a chance, I honestly sat down for this episode thinking, ok, maybe they will save this dumpster fire that was the finale of the previous ep. I really WANTED to like it.
The series went for my throat literally in the first minute 😀 After that everything was more or less torture. Almost every scene, every word felt like it was written specifically against me 😆
Let's start with a nice scene of a smiling Day saying coachy, positive bullshit suggesting that he pulled himself up by his bootstraps, and wasn't literally dragged out of the stagnation and depression by Mhok. A montage of scenes of Day thriving. All of this thanks to himself!
And then Mhok arrives, cue the romantic Halmark escalator scene and………… ……………………. ……………….. Mhok and Day slip into their old shoes, acting exactly like they did after their first kiss scene LMAOOOO they literally went back in time to this episode, Mhok flirts, Day is skittish. Everything that happened is pointless. They act like the 3 YEARS (!!!!) apart, or that horrible scene, or even the fact that Day fucking blocked Mhok didn't exist.
This whole episode killed me because it made it seem like Day was the victim of something really bad and Mhok was the bad guy, like it was all because of him, like he had done something terrible to Day. When Day asks his mother if he can give Mhok a chance because he might do "the same thing again", it sounds like Mhok was beating him or cheating on him????? Mhok thanking for the breakup????????? Mhok doing emotional labor again and winning over Day, while Day pushes him away (but not really) and is blushing and skittish and just takes the attention given to him was a literal repeat of the past and actively made me feel upset, for me it was humiliating to see Mhok like that.
And what's interesting - Mhok after his return is exactly the same, he behaves exactly the same, he is "overprotective" again. But now, Day and the plot are ok with it? 🤔
And this wedding, which somehow was about Day anyway. Like everything. (Night and Porjai in the future: remember our wedding? oh yes, that event when we took DAY to the airport and when DAY had his eye surgery? 😆)
Also, please leave the weddings, the profound speeches, the dramatic scenes, the tearjerkers, the airport runs, and the sudden phone calls about available transplants to the professionals. Soap operas do it so much better, so just… leave it. I can cry my eyes out at these scenes during Bollywood movies because they know how to do it. In Last Twilight I don't know where to hide because of embarrassment.
Day getting his sight back? I'm for it! It wasn't a miracle, just a medical procedure. Why would they deny him that? Especially since medicine could help in his case. But again, it's not about what happened, it's about HOW it happened, it's about the execution (which is also my main complaint about the scene from the previous episode). It was just melodramatic and crammed into the moment to force an emotional response from the audience. And did you notice how flat the scene when Day sees fell? "I can see!" haha, Porjai is pretty, end of the scene. Like???? The series told a certain story and from a narrative point of view, Day's regaining his sight at that moment and in such a way was artificial, so it does not give any satisfaction or joy in the fact that a blind person can see again - I was embarrassed by how cringe and saccharine this scene is. Not to mention the beginning of the episode contradicted the ending of the episode! The story must hold together, it must be coherent, the series should have a central, main idea. Last Twilight doesn't have that, it lost it 2 episodes ago, and the saccharine ending of this show was just a soap opera nail in the coffin.
tl;dr Mhok and Day are back in the past. Despite the loud speeches about development, growing and having a beautiful life despite adversities, the series made sure that the characters end it pretty much the same, in perfect circumstances, without the slightest cloud in their perfect sky 😀
The best things about this series are:
Mhok, my golden boy
Night without hesitation or making a big deal out of it, calling Porjai's baby his. I am a sucker for men who don't care whether their child is his blood. Night and Ha Do Young from The Glory, unconditionally loving their children regardless of whether they are their biological parents -> 💯💯💯
Right now, I'm not even angry, I don't even have any particular negative feelings. I just… I watched the whole episode like that:

Corrupted, chapter 23: Getting Real - a TMA x Malevolent crossover
Tumblr media
So, here they are: facing fear-gods, and a fucked-up eater of fear-gods, and a weird Welsh heritage, and a death sentence from the devil incarnate, and… they’re flirting about it.
He likes it.
He likes Hastur.
Oh. Oh, he's in over his head.
Corrupted, a TMA x Malevolent crossover featuring Tim Stoker and the King in Yellow, chapter 23.
AO3
-----------------
One of the challenges of an emotional eruption is the tendency to feel stupid after.
Objectively, Tim knows he’s not being stupid. He’s comforted loads of people (drunk and otherwise) who felt overwhelmed and out of control, and he’s aware nobody blames him, or thinks he’s overreacting.
Jon gets him tea. It’s pointless and silly and Tim feels so… moved.
Myrddin just lets him cry it out by walking away and giving him space. Again, Tim is moved; he wanted the space, but was uncomfortable asking for it.
Elias calls back. Yeah, no. Tim doesn’t answer that.
Tim. Tim, breathe.
Tim thinks that's an excellent idea. “I need some air,” he says, sounding nose-stuffed and weary.
“Is that… safe?” says Jon.
“My gut says yes, as long as I don’t go too far, I think.”
“Well, then by all means, don’t do that,” says Jon imperiously.
Tim quashes the urge to put Jon in his pocket and smiles instead. “I won’t. Thanks.” And not remotely in the mood for searching for a door, he climbs right through an open window and away.
#
The ocean goes on forever. He can’t even see the gray horizon-line out there in the fog.
He knows Wales is over there, but weather doesn’t permit visual confirmation, and all he can see is mist and wave and sky. It’s a weirdly lonely feeling. If not for the tower right behind them, it would easily feel like they were abandoned at the edge of the world.
Simon Fairchild, he thinks, would love the view. Then he remembers Junior’s thumb mutating the horizon for a moment, and he sways, dizzy.
Are you all right?
“Super,” says Tim, leaning on his thighs and taking a minute to breathe deeply.
Hastur sounds subdued. I'm sorry, Tim.
"You pronounced those pretty good without practice," says Tim, knowing he isn't making a ton of sense.
Hastur ignores the quip. All of this is so much to ask of a human. I'm sorry.
Tim stands. Swallows. He faces the fact that a god just apologized to him—and a narcissistic, dramatic, ridiculous god, at that. Then Tim faces the fact that if he has to stand up to horrible monsters and impossible magic, he doesn't want to do it alone.
No, it's not that he doesn't want to do it alone. He wants to do it with Hastur.
More than with Danny. More than with any friend. He wants to be with Hastur through this, and he is absolutely not ready to analyze that. “I appreciate that." It's too close, too vulnerable, too real, and Tim jukes left of subject. "All this isn't how I thought my life would end, that’s for certain.”
Tim… it isn’t ending. Not for sure. There may yet be a way to save you.
Tim scoffs. “Don’t you mean us? You better mean us.”
You will have the greatest story ever told when this is through. I expect you to elaborate on my greatness.
Oh, no, Hastur didn't mean us. “Well, sure. Gonna sell the rights to Bollywood, and live off the inevitable franchise money that comes from it.”
Why Bollywood?
“Because any film of my life needs to have gaudy fun, charisma, a good sense of humor, and some baller dancing."
Hastur laughs softly. Ah… I do like you, Tim.
There’s no regret in that statement anymore. There’s an eagerness, an expectation, a focus so intense it has weight. Of course, Tim goes with it. “Kind of impossible not to imagine degenerate things when you talk like that.”
If this works, you won’t have to imagine them anymore.
Hoo, boy.
Oh, this is a lot. Tim swallows. "Why didn’t you say ‘us,’ Hastur?"
I’m resigned, Hastur says.
“Resigned?” Tim tries to keep it light. “To what, Bollywood?”
I’ve had a really good run—far longer than I should—thanks to raw luck.
Tim clenches his fist. “Excuse me? You're quitting?”
Don't misunderstand. I'm saying I’ve decided if I have to die because of meeting you, then… the scales balance. That’s all.
Tim stops walking.
Water whispers against the shore, steady and patient. A bird of some kind screams overhead, unseen. The smell of baked bread wafts from the tower, luring. Tim swallows. “That’s a really big thing to say, Hastur.”
I’m aware.
Tim is shaking (because it's cold, he tells himself). “First off, no, I do not approve of you accepting death. Not allowed. Practically an HSE violation. Second, that’s… not something you want to joke around with. For any reason.”
I’m aware.
Tim shakes. He nudges a loose rock with his foot. He could walk the whole island in a few hours; see the weird churchyard where (supposedly) 20,000 saints were laid to rest. See the weird apples unlike any other in the world, immune to blight. See the lighthouse. He doesn’t move. “You’re telling the truth?”
I am.
Tim’s mouth is dry.
Don’t feel like you have to respond. I didn’t say it to get a response. I… just felt it should be said.
But that's such a big thing to say. “Hey. I have a question.”
Ask.
“Why didn’t I lose another body-part after we beamed ourselves here?” Tom says, following a gut instinct.
I chose not to take it.
Tim inhales slowly. “You could’ve before?”
I’m not sure. In both other cases, I was straining for independence, we were in the middle of something wild, and I just found myself with your eye, and your hand. This time… maybe because I had control of your body, briefly, I could feel a… Hastur considers. Like a breeze from an entryway you didn’t know was there. I knew I could follow it and something would happen. I chose not to.
Tim feels pale. Hastur means it. This thing Hastur said… he means it. “Why do the scales balance, Hastur?”
Silence.
“I’m just… that’s a really big thing to say.”
I'm aware.
Tim knows how he’d take a statement like that from a human. He knows what it would mean, emotionally. It sounds like love.
On the other hand, it's coming from a narcissistic god in hiding who’s facing death by digestion or death by Cthulhu’s great-grand-uncle, all while trapped in a mortal body, and given this, Tim has no idea what it means.
Whatever it really means, it’s a vulnerable statement, and deserves a response. “I…”
Shhh. You don’t have to answer me. I’ve been around a long time and had many lovers, and I know what I said. I didn’t say that to obligate you. I just wanted you to know.
Holy shit. Holy shit. “We're not lovers, though.”
What a strange thing to say to the god seated deep inside you.
Tom chokes a laugh. “What the hell, Hastur? Foul beast. Get thee behind me.”
Oh, I’ll get behind you, all right.
Tim laughs again, and Hastur laughs, too—a deep and quiet sound that buzzes under Tim’s skin in places that shouldn't be possible with disembodied vocal cords, but does anyway.
Damn. They're really doing this. When had the goofy flirting become real?
It is real. This is real.
It's never been real for Tim before. It's worse than fear-gods, worse than some psycho cannibal chomping his way through history. This is real.
Spooked, Tim tries to make it silly again. “Many lovers, eh? How many of those lovers knew who and what you are?”
Hastur huffs. What does that have to do with anything?
Tim grins. “Just wondering what kind of skill level I’m going to be dealing with. You could be like the CEO who thinks he’s funny because his employees all laugh at his jokes.”
Ha! They enjoyed it. I’ll have you know there is no lover like me anywhere in the world.
“That’s not necessarily a positive,” Tim quips, because that was an opening. “And I’m sure they all told you that, right? Notarized and sealed in wax, or something.”
The responses I create cannot be faked.
Tim laughs again. This game is fun. “As far as you know, anyway. Seems to me you’d need a lover who doesn't, you know, worship you to get an honest opinion.”
Are you offering? says Hastur, all honey and whiskey and incorrigible god.
(This became real when did this become real—)
Tim folds his hands behind his back. “Just making an observation.”
Well. I'm glad I could— Hastur stops.
They both feel the change. It’s like a cold breeze, but cruel, moving with intent, and Tim spins toward the horizon. There: a darkness forming in the mist, large, growing, taking so long to resolve into a recognizable shape that the fear of it surges over them, making Tim shockingly aware yet again of how isolated he is on this beach right now, out of sight of land, away from everyone and everything he’s ever known in his life, and—
Hastur’s hand pinches his bicep hard enough to bruise.
“Ow!”
Focus. I'm here. You're not alone. He can’t make us alone.
Of course. Lukas.
Somehow, when Elias said “ship,” this image had not come to mind. It moors in the distance, and its details do not come clear. It is a ghost, a phantom, a rusted and silent hulk in the gloom like nothing else remains in all the world. “Fuck me,” Tim whispers.
I think we’d best go back inside.
“Yeah,” waits Tim weakly. “Hey. Is it okay if I run?”
What do we have to lose?
That was Hasturian for let’s fucking book it, and without another word, Tim turns and bolts.
#
Myrddin seems to dislike having Peter Lukas’ ship in sight of his home. He stands at the window, squishing a slice of bread into a little ball, considering.
“Kinda need that ship,” says Tim, “in case you were, you know, thinking of scuttling it, or something. I don’t fancy trying to portal myself to wherever we’re going.”
“Mm,” Myrddin says.
“I mean, unless you have another way to get there,” says Tim.
“Oh, I do,” says Myrddin, “but I’d rather eat my own foot than go near the destination, to be perfectly honest. Not my cup of tea.” He shivers.
Well, if the wizard’s being that dramatic, then it can’t be that serious. “Not that we both don't know this is the stupidest thing I’ve ever done, but I’ve got a promise to keep.”
“And many miles before you sleep?” prompts Myrddin.
“These woods don't quite have the lovely part down.”
“Dark and deep, though,” Myrddin says.
“You're not wrong.”
Beside them, Jon shivers, staring out the window.
Tim wonders if he sees something they don’t. “Maybe it’s a better idea if you stay behind.”
“No,” says Jon.
He’s using you somehow, little priest, says Hastur. Elias is doing something. You’re walking right into it.
“I don't care,” Jon snaps. “I have to… I can't… you don’t understand.”
“So help me do that?” says Tim, all too aware that a spooky lifeboat with a spooky shape that’s probably Lukas in the bow is coming their way. “Because right now, I'm seeing you taking a big risk, popping along with me, and I don’t have a reason why.”
Jon sighs. “Look. I don’t know what Elias’ role in this is, but I'm not doing any of it for him. You don’t understand. I need to know. I need to. I need see the truth with my own eyes.”
“Right, but why?” Tim frowns. “You’re not telling me something.”
Jon looks positively caught. “I am not.”
“Yeah, that’s a double-negative, boss, so you just admitted you are,” says Tim, just to be a contrary.
Jon reddens. “I swear on my honor I will swim after the blasted boat if you try to leave me behind.”
Tim is not laughing. Nope. Not at all. “You got a lot of practice swimming?”
Jon is too skinny to do a puffy kitten impression, but he manages, anyway. “I grew up in Bournemouth. I’ll have you know I am an adequate swimmer.”
Hastur laughs. Adequate!
“Perfectly satisfactory!” says Jon.
“All right, all right,” says Tim, raising his hands. “You can come on the scary ghost ship. On your head be it if it’s properly spooky and answers nothing.”
“I’m not—” John begins, and then comes a knock at the door.
Myrddin takes Tim’s hand. “I'm glad to have met you," he says. "Don’t die, hm? We can talk when you get…” And he pauses. Blinks. “Oh, my,” he says, and turns away.
“When I what?” Tim blurts. “Get back? Why would you interrupt that?”
Myrddin opens the door instead of replying. A man stands there, and he is not Peter Lukas. He is short, heavyset, with a thick, black beard and dark skin made darker by the sun. He wears a nondescript pea coat, and around his neck hangs the unique, trumpet-like shape of a boatswain’s whistle.
That whistle gives Tim the heebie-jeebies. A whistle has never given him the heebie-jeebies before.
“Well, well, well,” says Myrddin. “Tadeus. That’s where you disappeared to?”
And the man, the boatswain judging by his whistle, looks through Myrddin like the wizard isn’t there, and tilts his head toward Tim in the barest acknowledgment.
Tim feels like his eyes are very wide. "Okay, sure. Yeah, let's go."
Myrddin touches his shoulder. "Good luck," he says softly. "I think you’ll be glad in the end you made the choices you did. Yes. You will.” And he tucks something into Tim’s pocket and pushes him toward the door.
The guy—Dahl, apparently—has already turned, walking back towards that tiny boat.
Jon gulps audibly. “Thank you for your hospitality, sir.”
“Of course, of course,” says Murddin with great and sudden cheer. “We’ll talk more when you get back.”
“When he gets back?” squawks Tim, but he already knows he won’t get an answer.
Dahl isn't waiting. They both hurry after.
Myrrdin stands in the door, smiling, waving a handkerchief like a black-and-white recording of some old-timey embarkation.
Tim shakes his head. “This might as well happen,” he murmurs.
That’s an amusing reaction to horror.
“Sort of logical, really,” says Tim, hunching his shoulders against the sudden cold as he follows this Dahl. “It’s really one of those days, you know? Not much we can do about it. So this might as well happen.”
His left hand shifts slightly out of his pocket and strokes his stomach. Pragmatic. But you're not doing it alone.
Tim swallows.
Jon jogs at his heels, too close, already spooked and shit at hiding it.
They wouldn't get anything out of drowning us, would they? Tim thinks, trying not to add to the spookification.
Only Elias’s displeasure, probably, says Hastur.
“What?” says Jon. “What displeasure?”
Tim forgot Jon could hear Hastur now. “Oh. They won’t do anything nefarious to us, is all I'm saying.”
Jon looks a little pale. “Only if we actually die. There are a lot of things they could do that don't involve death."
Tim makes a face. “Well, sure, if you want to get ridiculously technical, sure.”
You can still back out, little priest.
“Look, will you just call me Jon, please?” Jon snaps. “It's my blasted name.”
Hastur chuckles. As you wish. Jon. He does something to the name, makes it intimate, magical, maybe even a little invasive.
Jon trips.
“Hastur,” chides Tim, steadying him.
What? He wants me to use his name! Names are intimate.
Tim rolls his eyes. “Sorry. Some people can't behave, apparently.”
“Fine,” mutters Jon. “It’s fine. I asked.”
Don’t go making me jealous, now, Tim thinks, still chiding.
Don’t give me reason to, says Hastur.
So.
Tim thinks two things as they follow the silent Dahl onto the rowboat. One, he's right, and their relationship is changed. It is real. Serious. They both feel it, and they really need to talk out some boundaries ASAP.
Two (speaking of boundaries), Hastur is apparently jealous of Jon?
Why?
Well. That would be one of the things they discuss. Soon.
Dahl is strong. He kicks them off the rocky shore and hops in, weirdly graceful, and begins rowing them toward that distant dark shape.
But Tim knows what he saw before. The boat moved itself. Dahl is doing this for show, and Tim can’t imagine why. Though come to think of it, there’s a weird isolation to sitting in a boat, silent, rowed by a man a;sp sitting in silence, who ignores them as completely as if they didn't exist.

Gulf migration is not just a major phenomenon in Kerala; north Indian states also see massive migration to the Gulf. Uttar Pradesh and Bihar accounted for the biggest share (30% and 15%) of all Indian workers migrating to GCC1 countries in 2016-17 (Khan 2023)—a trend which continues today. Remittances from the Gulf have brought about significant growth in Bihar’s economy (Khan 2023)—as part of a migrant’s family, I have observed a tangible shift in the quality of life, education, houses, and so on, in Siwan. In Bihar, three districts—Siwan, Gopalganj, and Chapra—send the majority of Gulf migrants from the state, mostly for manual labor (Khan 2023). Bihar also sees internal migration of daily wagers to Delhi, Bombay, and other parts of India. Gulf migration from India’s northern regions, like elsewhere in India, began after the oil boom in the 1970s. Before this time, migration was limited to a few places such as Assam, Calcutta, Bokaro, and Barauni—my own grandfather worked in the Bokaro steel factory.
Despite the role of Gulf migration and internal migration in north Indian regions, we see a representational void in popular culture. Bollywood films on migration largely use rural settings, focussing on people who work in the USA, Europe, or Canada. The narratives centre these migrants’ love for the land and use dialogue such as ‘mitti ki khusbu‘ (fragrance of homeland). Few Bollywood films, like Dor and Silvat, portray internal migration and Gulf migration. While Bollywood films frequently centre diasporic experiences such as Gujaratis in the USA and Punjabis in Canada, they fail in portraying Bihari migrants, be they indentured labourers in the diaspora, daily wagers in Bengal, or Gulf migrants. The regional Bhojpuri film industry fares no better in this regard. ‘A good chunk of the budget is spent on songs since Bhojpuri songs have an even larger viewership that goes beyond the Bhojpuri-speaking public’, notes Ahmed (2022), marking a context where there is little purchase for Gulf migration to be used as a reference to narrate human stories of longing, sacrifice, and family.
One reason for this biased representation of migration is that we see ‘migration’ as a monolith. In academic discourse, too, migration is often depicted as a commonplace phenomenon, but I believe it is crucial to make nuanced distinctions in the usage of the terms ‘migration’ and ‘migrant’. The term ‘migration’ is a broad umbrella term that may oversimplify the diverse experiences within this category. My specific concern is about Gulf migrants, as their migration often occurs under challenging circumstances. For individuals from my region, heading to the Gulf is typically a last resort. This kind of migration leads to many difficulties, especially when it distances migrants from their family for much of their lifetime. The term ‘migration’, therefore, inadequately captures the profound differences between, for instance, migrating to the USA for educational purposes and migrating to the Gulf for labour jobs. Bihar has a rich history of migration, dating back to the era of indentured labor known as girmitiya. Following the abolition of slavery in 1883, colonial powers engaged in the recruitment of laborers for their other colonies through agreements (Jha 2019). Girmitiya distinguishes itself from the migration. People who are going to the Arabian Gulf as blue-collar labourers are also called ‘Gulf migrants’—a term that erases how their conditions are very close to slavery. This is why, as a son who rarely saw his father, I prefer to call myself a ‘victim of migration’ rather than just a ‘part of migration’. It is this sense of victimhood and lack of control over one’s life that I saw missing in Bollywood and Bhojpuri cinema.

OS: Confide In Me
“So, Mr Raizada! As you can see these are some of the coping mechanisms that people use mostly to hide their sufferings” therapist said while checking the list of things they went for in today’s session.
“Wait! So constant talking, always being happy and doing crazy-weird things is also a type of coping mechanism?” Arnav asked
“Yes Ofcourse! Or else how would you explain such behaviour?”
“Maybe, that’s just how some people are?”
“Mr Raizada, being constantly happy and pretending to be carefree is actually a toxic positivity, people like these rarely talk about their feelings with anyone” Therapist further explained
“Okay! Thankyou for letting me know”
Arnav couldn’t stop thinking about the whole conversation he had with this therapist at the end of the session. A lot of things she said about toxic positivity and how it’s actually a coping mechanism made Arnav realize that’s exactly what Khushi does.
She always talked about everyone’s problems but her and always acted like she was happy. He never really paid attention to it as he thought that’s how she was, but that was until now.
The more he learnt about toxic positivity and how it can be a coping mechanism he observed Khushi’s behaviour more. He had started to understand that beneath that happy face, goofy behaviour was a girl, her inner child who was immensely hurt for so many reasons. It absolutely crushed him realizing that Khushi thinks her feelings aren’t important or that she never really had anyone to confide in.
“Khushi” Arnav called as he entered the room
Khushi was sitting on the bed, all set surrounded by Snacks. Today was Friday and every Friday they watched either Hollywood or Bollywood movie.
“Arnav ji! You’re right on time, I was about to select the movie for tonight” Khushi said expressing her excitement.
“Khushi we need to talk!” Arnav said in a little serious tone
Khushi’s face expression changed when she realized that the movie night was off today.
“But Arnav ji! What about the movie-"
“Forget about the movie! There’s something we need to talk about” he said while sitting down with while holding her hand.
“Khushi, are you happy?” He asked
Khushi chuckled at his question and said “Ofcourse! My name is Khushi after all”
“No Khushi! I am seriously asking are you happy?” He asked in a concerned voice
“I don’t have any reasons to not be happy, I have such a great husband, great family, everything is going well in my life” she said with a smile
“But Khushi! You never talk about your feelings or your internal conflicts” he said
At this point Khushi was avoiding eye contact with him intentionally as she knew where this conversation was heading.
“Khushi I want you to know that it’s okay to talk about your feelings” Arnav assured her
“I do talk about my feelings” she said while looking down.
“Khushi! Are you really okay?” Arnav asked
And this one question was enough for Khushi to trigger her emotions. She immediately started breaking down and Arnav pulled her towards himself allowing her to rest her head in his chest.
Khushi was completely breaking down, like she never did before and Arnav was crushed as he had never seen her like this before, but then again no one’s ever asked her “How she was” regarding her feelings and inner conflicts. Because everyone always thought Khushi is the happy person even during her darkest times.
“There’s just so much hurt in the heart I don’t even know where to start” she said while sniffing
“You can start from wherever you want to, I am here, I am listening to you” he reassured her again
For the first time in her life Khushi was opening up to someone about her wounds and regarding how she feels. From Bua ji’s biased behaviour towards Payal, to Shyam stalking her and harassing her verbally and almost sexually and Arnav’s abuse as well.
“You hurt me too Arnav ji! You hurt me a lot” she said while looking at him with teary eyes
Arnav’s face was full of guilt, as he started realizing how much he put Khushi through from the day they met.
“I am sorry Khushi, I am so sorry” he said with a cracked voice, he knew that sorry wasn’t enough to fix every messed up thing he did to her but he was clueless about what else to say
“Your actions hurt more after you forced to marry me, I kept asking you what was the reason but you only said to me that I hurt you, it was killing me each time I thought about what I did to hurt you. And…and when you called me the biggest mistake of your life a part of me died” she said while being in the most vulnerable state.
“I know Khushi! I know that no amount of sorry will fix the damage that I did. You know I react impulsively, and I was stupid to call you the biggest mistake of my life. I didn’t mean it, it was just due to the heat of the moment. Because Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada, you’re the best thing that has happened to me in my life, you make me a better person, you inspire goodness in me, you understand me like no one does, you changed my black and white vision, you made me believe in love. And yet I kept hurting you” he said while getting vulnerable
Khushi looked at him, she could see that Arnav truly regrets what he did in the past. Khushi did hold him accountable for the pain he caused her but she also knew he was the man she loved and is in love with. She had allowed Arnav to be vulnerable in front of her and yet she understood where he came from, she understood that things weren’t easy for him either and biggest part was that he was changing and being a better person everyday
“Realizing your mistake is better than apologizing and I am proud to see you leaning on that way Arnav ji” she said while holding his face
“You and me, we have both have endured a lot in our lives, we have made plenty of mistakes. But with each mistakes we have realized what wrong we have done and we are trying to be better in our own way. After all we’re together in this” she further added
“Always and forever” Arnav said while pulling her towards him for a hug.
- Rubi

Hi Darling,
I hope your dad is feeling better, and you are taking care of yourself too, friend! (Caretaker burnout is reallllllll and I am sending you all the strength and healing vibes 🤗🤗🤗)
ITV seems to be a closed chapter for me; the rapidly progressing degeneration of that genre is just notttttt inspiring any confidence (or interest.) The wholeass industry needs a major major shakeup. Same with Bollywood, nothing's really pulling me anymore. Laapataa Ladies (which I still haven't watched yet) is LITERALLY THE ONLY MOVIE calling my name in all of the 2024 releases. Junaid seems like a promising nepo kid; the Cavill vibes are definitely there. Let's hope that he picks good scripts and doesn't fall down the usual wormhole.
Things that I have been watching and enjoying in the past few weeks:
The Acolyte: I literally know/care nothing about the Star Wars universe, but Manny Jacinto. Enough said. I need to rewatch coz god his character has me going awooooooooga like a fuckin' cartoon wolf. I am obsessed.
Abbott Elementary: Giving B99-ish (but much more mellow.)
Modern Family: Just a rewatch (during my mealtimes)
Late Night with Seth Meyers/Last Week Tonight/The Daily Show for US election shitshow in palatable doses
Meet You at the Blossom: A chinese BL which is fulllllllllllly delivering on the toxic romance from the Tellywood of yore
This Love Doesn't Have Long Beans: A thai BL that is again, giving v Tellywood romcom vibes (Gul Khan types), with not one, BUT TWO WHOLE ENEMIES TO LOVERS couples. Noice.
Love Sea: Ridiculously high heat/good chemistry; one half of couple is the greenest fuckin flag in the history of human existence.
My Love Mix Up (Thailand): My cutest lil kuchupuchu babies. I wanna put them in my pocket and squishhhhhhhh them allllll like a goddamn stress ball. Wholesome wholesome lil show that makes me feel warm and sunshiney inside.
4 Minutes: No real idea what's really going on here with the time skips and background crimes and shit, plus this show feels like an anxiety attack in audiovisual form, BUT I'm here for Bible Wichapas giving me morally-grey himbo with hilarious (to me) gay panic.
So yeah...... That's what I've been up to! Hope you and yours keep well, lovely. <33333333 And yes, keep that tharak flag flying high!!!!!!!!

Molly. Kid Cudi has got be cast as Josie's brother, right?! Look how cute Josephine and Franklin are.
Tumblr media
Yes!
That’s them!
Franklin Bagwell and his baby sister Josephine who’re ready to ruin Anthony Bridgerton’s whole life.
And the worst part is: Anthony liked Josie when Edwina introduced them! She’s a software engineer and she was smart, and considerate and he knew Edwina really liked her a lot.
But Frankie Is his nemesis. They did their apprenticeships at the same shop pretty much, before Anthony reopened their family shop. And Frankie was just… it felt as though he was always better than him! They had a slightly competitive relationship and Anthony’s cheeks used to flush and he’d get flustered and nothing ever seemed to bother Frankie. And now it turns out he made a pass at Kate?! Unbelievable!
Anthony does feel pretty smug about the fact that Kate wasn’t interested at all in Frankie but she’s engaged to him, and they have a son together: who’s the sweetest, smartest most handsome baby in the entire world.
It is annoying to watch Frankie give Edmund a high-five at Josie and Edwina’s engagement party though, chuckling at him.
“Ant-o!”
“Hi, Frankie.” Anthony sighed, tucking his arm tighter around Kate’s waist.
“Mate, I have to say: your son’s a neat little guy. Very cute, must take after his Mum hey?” He winked at Kate who rolled her eyes.
“He looks like me!” Anthony hissed, scooping Neddy up who’d been swaying on his still unsteady feet in front of them. “Though yes, we’re both Mummy’s boys.”
“Papa!” Edmund giggled leaning forward to kiss him on the forehead just as he watched Kate do.
“Neat, man.” Frankie grinned, “Kate if you ever wanna make this a real family affair, let me know.”
“I might stick with Ant-o but thanks for the offer.” She said dryly.
“Breathe, Man. I’m joking.” He slapped Anthony on the shoulder, before striding away calling out “Mary Sharma you look more beautiful every time I see you!”
Anthony spun around nudging Edwina with his foot, “You did this to us! You brought him into our family!”
“Again: Kate brought you in so the argument could be made that it was already ludicrous.” Edwina said swatting him away.
“If it helps, I’m sorry.” Josie said, clearly not at all apologetic,
“I liked you Josie, but your brother is my arch nemesis and so we can’t be friends. I’m sorry it has to be this way.”
“But we started that movie club together.”
“And I obviously love our Bollywood nights trying to watch these two’s favourites but we’ll never be more than that.” Anthony sighed, “Don’t try and tempt me.”

Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani - An honest review
I watched Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Kahaani because everyone I know on social media and few close folks in my real life said it was very entertaining - funny, progressive, feminist , and it showed gender equality.
Tumblr media
So I was taken aback, because the general sentiment for KJo movies should be ‘It’s so shit, but I love it’ - that is a sentiment I can live with because we all have our guilty pleasures.
KJo has his audience who love the shit he pulls off every time he ‘directs’ a film with toxic masculinity, regressive female leads , justifying infidelity (always the answer to unhappy marriages) , glorifying Indian culture, where he adds 30 mins of melodrama and lectures to make the characters redeem themselves. Kjo’s movies are as lame as they can be, but people love them. I get it - ‘this shit is so bad, it’s so good’ category of films. Guilty pleasures are exactly this!
Tumblr media
So sell me his new offering in exactly this manner - but all reviews and social media comments were glowing words of praise of how he has addressed today’s issues and it’s a progressive film. Are people suffering from amnesia or have they not watched better Bollywood films? Because I have a whole list of films you should watch that actually deal with ‘progressive’ mindsets - way before Kjo’s time!
Tumblr media
Rani is a feminist. A FL as feisty news anchor who gives a 5 min lecture on men’s gaze, objectification of women and rape culture, but does an absolute U-turn 5 mins later by objectifying a handsome man in front of her. This is gender equality. Tit for Tat.
Tumblr media
Wearing open back blouses to work is sign of new age feminism (Will I get trolled for sounding old school - has KJo ever stepped inside a corporate workspace - who dresses like Rani does?) What’s next? Women CEOs wearing bikinis? And why not get all men to dress like Rocky Randhawa - that would be peak gender equality in dress code at workplace.
Infidelity is the answer to all unhappy marriages. Remember KANK? Yes, let’s repeat that here, but let’s twist it into unrequited love between the senior citizens. Then add memory loss and illness excuse to get the 80yr old grandpa smooch his 75yr old ex-lover in front of his wife and entire family. The issue is not old age love, age is never a restriction to fall in love, the issue here is infidelity. But if this isn’t cringe enough, let’s completely destroy the most beautiful romantic number in Bollywood by playing it in the background to immortalise infidelity and later lust under the garb of love.
Tumblr media
Let’s get back to our feminism torch bearer Rani, who has now jumped from knowing the guy for two meetings to lusting over him. She is honest with herself (not with Rocky mind you, because at no point have they had any conversation about themselves) that she is in it purely for the physical attraction, it’s just a fling for her. She is an elitist , feminist, Colombian grad, Bengali Girl (who has a terrible Bengali accent) and the crude, can’t speak English well, Gucci/Fendi wearing, Ferrari driving, protein shake drinking, loud Punjabi boy doesn’t match up to her standards. Kjo’s new level of feminism - make women pull the exact shit on men that men have put women through for decades. Tit for Tat! Gender Equality.
Btw at this point I still don’t know why Rocky loves Rani - love at first sight is always about the looks and physical attraction, so convince me why he loves her - because isn’t he this walking-talking green flag just by being understanding of his grandpa’s feelings and calling out Rani checking him out. A walking green flag who gets his grandpa’s ex-lover and his grandpa together to help his grandpa get better - because love is the cure for all illnesses. All doctors and medical researchers have been wasting their time on getting degrees and super specialisations - please enter Kjo’s school of love.
Tumblr media
So now Rani realises she is in love - when and why and what changed her feelings from lust to love - I do not know. She drives on a 4-lane highway in the opposite direction - woman should have died there for her reckless driving, but she lives to propose to Rocky on a f&*king Highway! Bollywood I love you for pulling off this shit.
This is supposed to be the pivotal point in their relationship where she professes her love to him, going down on one knee (because hey you see role reversal - she is the feminist, the alpha female) and telling Rocky everything that HE IS NOT , listing her resume and her exes’. Therefore implying he doesn’t deserve her, but she is taking the high road and still falling for him. All the reasons she lists that she loves about him are actually about his physical aspects = Lust. She doesn’t list one meaningful quality that she actually ‘loves’ about him.
It is at this point that I gave up on the film, because after this RRKPK became a collation of scenes dedicated to social media trending topics:
1. Women burdened with household work
2. Women not liberated enough to pursue their dreams
3. Women being fat shamed
4. Cancel culture
5. Men being shamed for pursuing classical dancing (KJo research FFS - 50% of India’s top kathak dancers are males right from 1940s! )
Each topic got 1-2 scenes, tweets converted to preachy dialogues uttered by our ‘feminist’ queen and zero closures or character growth.
The only thing that works in this movie - is Ranveer , not his character, but him! He is effortless in this role, his comic timing is superb, needs some work on emotions.
Tumblr media
Alia is a shadow of her awesome self on screen post her marriage to Ranbir. It hurts to say this, cause I have loved her in all her movies except SOTY.
Can people age gracefully, I couldn’t bear to look at Shabana Azmi and Jaya B - former was gorgeous as hell in her younger days, now is swollen with all the Botox fillers! Jaya has forgotten to act completely. Dharmendra should not even be acting anymore.
Tumblr media
What was the point of rest of the cast? Only Alia’s dad was a decent act.
The one thing I absolutely love in KJo movies is the music and songs! These were crap too. What Jhumka? Because ruining all the songs from ‘The Golden’ decade of Bollywood was not enough, so they made a terrible mashup of Badtameez Dil & Jhumka Gira Re and killed both the songs in one go! Takes some skill doing this - well done!
Why this long rant if I disliked the movie so much, that too KJo movies? I wouldn’t have written one, if the reviews and comments were honest about the movie being average, typical entertainment; but the moment people praised it to nth level of being socially relevant with feminist heroine and gender equality - they deserved to be called out for their shallow thought process thinking that KJo actually cares about any of this stuff.
Worst people think this is ‘quintessential’ Bollywood. Please watch better films - like Amitabh’s roaring 70s, the romance films of 90s, the fun comedies, the glorious slice of life films from Hrishida, the Yash Chopra multistarrers - that’s quintessential, genuine, charm of Bollywood.
Tumblr media
Lastly before I wrap this up - RRKPK when literally translated is Love Story of Rocky and Rani. I spent 2.5 hours on this shit show and I still don’t know the answer to why and how they fell in love! They didn’t have one decent conversation about themselves! The latter half is about them wooing their families. The film should have been aptly titled ‘Randhawa and Chatterjee Ki Prem Kahaani’ - It’s all about loving your family - K3G Part 2!
