A/n: SORRY OK IM IN THE MOOD FOR VERY ANGST STUFF, READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!

You sipped your coffee, eyes smiling brightly at the man in front of you, your love of your life, your boyfriend Sungchan, who was also smiling brightly back at you. You just finished planning your trip for your 6th anniversary. You couldn't be any happier. If you could describe your life right now; perfect. A man you love, who loves you back just as much, a job, a house and most importantly your unborn child. You got to know about your pregnancy two weeks ago and it took you all of your energy to keep it a secret, until your 6th anniversary to make it more perfect and to surprise him with what he's been dreaming of for the past years. You've been planning how to tell him for the past two weeks, and you couldn't wait any longer to tell him. Thank god you only have to wait two days now, then everything will be more perfect. You didn't really plan anything big... Just thought of surprising him with a small box in a chill cuddly night, which has yellow small baby shoes in them.

You chuckle looking at the extra cute small shoes in front of you, remembering your promise you made when you got your matching tattoos, you promised to have your love for each other as permanent as your tattoos and to be there for each other, in good and bad. You had so much to tell him. You wanted to cuddle with him in your warm villa house and to talk about the past 6 years you've spent together. You were very excited. After packing your luggage you sent your boyfriend a goodnight message and went to sleep.

For the next 2 days you were only thinking about him. You couldn't really meet him because he had to do extra work so he could spend the whole week with you in the vacation.  All you could do is text and call each other. I mean what's the problem with it if you'll be spending the next whole week in each other's arms? You were patient, for you, him and your baby.

Finally D-day! You had planned to meet your boyfriend first in a restaurant and then go together by the car to your villa house. It was a Chilly night, sky very clear, where you could see the bright stars. The road filled with cars and people, such a normal night, but still beautiful.

You waited for him outside the restaurant, checking the time every now and then. After 15 minutes of waiting, you finally saw your love of your life. Oh how much you missed his warm lovable embrace. Oh how much you wanted to kiss his tasty, sweet soft lips. Oh how much the night became more beautiful just when you saw him. You smiled and waved at him. He was wearing a black coat with such a nice suit under it, his hands holding a beautiful combination of red and white flowers. You gave each other a bright lovable smile. He was waiting for the lights to turn green for him to walk to you. And once they turned green, he walked towards you, a little too fast. He was excited, you chuckles. Your eyes shining with excitement and love. You were just very in love with each other. You found your world, life, future and home in each other's eyes.

He was getting closer and closer, oh how much your heart was beating. With every step he was taking, you heart was beating faster and faster. As if it was only beating for him, and it was. Your heart, and the smaller heart inside you, both were beating for this amazing man.

He was close, finally you'll have him in your arms, finally. Just when you heard people screaming. But you were so hooked up with his eyes and presence, you didn't care about others. As if all your senses only focused on Sungchan and only him.

In a blink of an eye, you saw your man on the ground after getting hit by a car. Everything went so fast that all you saw next is Sungchan on the ground, the flowers next to him, which were once white, turning red. A bloody kind of red. Your world stopped, you ran to him. You held his body. Not believing your eyes.

"S-Sungchan-"

You could barely talk

"Ba-baby"

He tried to talk

Your eyes were blurry with the amount of tears it held. Your shaky hands holding his face, close to yours. His eyes still, looked so lovable, warm and clear.

"M-My Ang-el"

He moved his hand to hold your cheek, wiping your tears

"My love"

You cried

"I-I really was-s excited t-to see y-your beautiful f-face"

His tears falling, mixing with the blood

"i m-missed you, Sungchan"

"I missed y-you to-o, y/n"

He smiled, his beautiful smile

"please, p-please stay with me, i-ill call the a-ambulance hold up"

Your shaky hands left his face and held your phone, trying to dial 911

"y/n, baby"

Sungchan held your hands, bringing them to him, leaving the dispatcher confused on the other line, not receiving any answers from the caller.

"Sungchan let me c-call them"

He shook his head

"Y/n baby... I n-never ever regretted b-being with y-you, I'm h-happy i m-met you"

You started sobbing, holding his face

He continued

"i-if i was to be born again i-I'd choose you, again and a-again, you are m-my life y/n"

"Sungchan s-stop talking! Y-you're tiring yourself more, s-stay still the the ambulance c-comes" you screamed at the people surrounding you, for them to call the ambulance.

Sungchan held your face, turning it down to look at him

"I-i w-wanted to-o a-ask you to b-be mine t-today" you only cried harder, your hands clenching around his face, not willing to let him go anytime sooner

"Su-sungchan, please s-stay, for me and for o-our b-baby"

He looked shocked, now he's crying harder, the blood that he's bleeding is now getting slower and slower, its ending soon.

"Y/n t-thank y-you for b-being there for m-me an—d for m-making me h-happy even in m-my last m-moment" his tear dropped

"do-n't s-say that! Y-you're staying a-alive Sungchan! I-i still h-have many things to s-say to y-you! R-remember o-our promise? Y-you can't l-leave me now... P-please"

"you'll b-be an am-amazing mother y/n" he whispered

"baby, i-in another life, w-would you be my g-girl too?" he asked, his eyes hopeful.

"Sungchan y-yes, I'll forever b-be yours and y-you'll forever b-be mine"

"I l-love you, Y/n... S-sorry—" his last tear fell, his eyes closed, breath stopped, hands fell from your cheeks, his body stilled.

"I-i l-love you t—oo"

You looked at your world's lifeless body on the ground. Looking around him, taking in this moment, trying to figure out if it's real or not. You looked at the now soaked in blood flowers, next to them a little box, your shaky hands reached out to it and opened it. It revealed a beautiful ring, with words "be my wife" on the upper side of the box.

You lost yourself. Looking at your lifeless man. You held his body close to yours, screaming and crying. How are you supposed to continue living without your oxygen? Without the reason for your heart to beat for? Without him? You hugged him, hearing the sirens of the ambulance.

"in another life, I'll be yours and you'll stay with me" you kissed his forehead before the medical technicians pulled you away from him. You saw them giving him cpr, but with no use, he's now covered by white material and taken away from you.

So I just saw the announcement about the EN server shutting down or at least dicontinued (hopefully just for now) and I might just burst into tears 🥲 I want to put my thoughts or rather feelings of the journy up until now on here to come down but maybe also as some form of comfort for anyone who needs it? It's very long and might have some broken english as it's not my first language so do keep it in mind please 😅

Anyways, I started A3! last year on march 7th because I saw a youtube video of people cosplaying Sakuya and Sakyo. At taht point, I already knew of A3! somewhere in my distant memories back when it was JP only. I decided to try out the game since I was getting bored of my current mobile games and the few reviews I could find of it were relatively positive. I had no idea just what a big part of my life this game was about the become 🤧

Btw I'm listening to some A3! songs right now, specifically Sakuya's 2nd character song, and it's not helping me 😢 So at the time, lockdown just started 2 days ago, which left me with a lot of time playing it and, I kid you not, I gulfed the main story down like it was the last slice of cake at home. I have 2 siblings. I think I finished it in a week or so despite it being only unlockable through leveling up, and if my memory serves me right, you need to be around lvl 75 to unlock all 4 episodes. As one can see, I was VERY invested in the story. It was just so....nice? I don't know how to exactly describe it but I was surprised by how likable everyone was. Of course I didn't hold such strong feelings for everyone back then as I do now but I was intrigued enough back then of nearly everyone, which is kind of rather rare in such types of games, no? At least for me it is, although I haven't played terribly a lot (Love Live, MLQC, Mystic Messenger).

I really like how the story actually continues through the events and how it alternated between stories exploring certain characters more (show events) and stories focusing on just them having fun. Getting to know everyone bit by bit and seeing how everyone grows closer to each other, not only within their respective troupes but the whole theater, makes me really all warm and fuzzy and it's found family, what more could you want?

Also, I really like Izumi, our dear MC 🥰 Even though she's supposed to be our self-insert, I found myself really enjoying reading her thoughts, observing her reactions to other characters' shenanigans (like her 'I do not see' to the members plan of faking their identity to bail Citron out lol) and just....her personality. Trying not to digress here but she has a lot more personality than other MCs in these joseimuke games and it makes her interactions with others not only bearable but even enjoyable. I'm not saying that this is what a perfect MC looks like or that she's superior to bland self-inserts. After all, it depends on the story, gameplay and other things. It's just a nice bonus I'm very grateful for. I mean, I got really emotional when Izumi performed with the other staff members all of the plays the actors have put out so far for the first anniversary. Her realizing she gained a new dream for her lost one just really took my heart, broke it in thousand pieces and then mended it again.

I also love A3! songs ❤ I did wonder how they would work in this franchise since it's not about idols but actors, though I guess there was nothing to worry about. I really like the duets because it's always a different duo and hearing them singing together, harmonizing with each other, complimenting each other, just fills me with undescribable joy. Of course the songs also slap pretty much every time. Even by limiting my options to 1 troupe, I still wouldn't be able to pick only one favourite (I like the majority of Winter's song tho, like Shoutai is just 🤌 and my sibling blasted Unmasked non-stop so I can't get it outta my head anymore). Gosh, I was so excited for 'Double Solitaire' since it would complete trilogy of the Hyodosakas singing together. I was really looking forward to getting all the songs and I was even saving up for Summer Troupe's 6th play.

If I had to describe the game A3! in one word, it'd be "charming". Coming to game itself, there are so many little quirks, that on their own aren't anything groundbreaking or big but together give the game its own flair. Live 2D is pretty common to see nowdays in games because it brings the characters to life through movements like 3D models. But I think A3! is able to illustrate it just as well, if not even better with their 2D sprites. Citron moonwalked by flipping the image over and sliding across the screen, Hisoka appeared out of nowhere by coming from above the screen, they do a little jump when they're happy, they go down a bit when they're sad. And that's just things with their whole sprite. The little drops when Tsuzuru finds himself in an awkward situation or is worried, the little note when Sakuya is happy, the hearts when Kazunari is lowkey flirting with Izumi, it's so cute! Or Omi's O.O face, Taichi's crying face (the usual one, not his face when he cried out of guilt of betraying Mankai), Yuki's done expression, H O M A R E AHA! They each have at least one personalized expression and also quote. Can you hear Kazunari's Yoropiko~☆, Citron's humming, Taichi's loud ass whining and scream of terror, Tsumugi's awkawrd laugh? It's brimming with life.

But also the UI (?how it looks) is joyful. The main screen's background cascading shapes changes depending from which Troupe your current character is from, the loading screen has sakura petals and a bird, the colors are very bright and saturated fitting to the overall color palette of the whole game, the little notebook during practice showing all the necessary infomation and a little sketch by the characters. It's just really charming.

As frustrating as it was, not getting halloween Tsuzuru after 110 pulls or Valentine Omi after 120, it was my first time ever understanding why gachas are called hellholes. Through my strong connections to the characters, their cards automatically appealed to me more. But the art is also so good???? Azuma is always looking flawless obviously but Omi's unbloomed Wolf card, where he is standing in the sunset looking at his camera or Kazunari's Shinobi card, unbloomed all concentrated on his panting and bloomed all shiny smiling like the fireworks in the background? Breathtaking everytime. I also appreciate it not needing multiple copies to unlock the whole backstage story.

I think I'm slowly running out of things to say, which might be good for whoever managed to come this far. I have to say though, A3! helped me through the pandemic. Being a perfect distraction to the world's chaos and more importantly my crushing schoolwork and worries for personal future. I'm a very pessimistic person but seeing the characters overcoming their hardships through the help of their to-be "family" and just being happy doing trouble, gave me a little hope and light for a bit every day. I came to cherish everyone, even those I like the least. I haven't felt like this since Mystic Messenger, which was also a game, that helped me through a difficult time. I can only wish to a shooting star, that it's not the end for the EN Server yet. While yes, the JP server is thriving and I could just switch to reading fantranslation, through my experience, my enjoyment considerably sinks playing like that and I wish to fully enjoy A3!.

- Dedicated to my Grandmother C., Z”L*, (*May her memory be a Blessing) 1926 ~ August, 2015 (passed near 89 years old) - Jewish, she also lived through the years of the Holocaust, (1941~1945) and her entire Jewish family got safely through those years. [Not long before WWII ended, she met my Grandpa.] My grandmother was one of my closest family members. When I was little (around 8 years old myself when first watching), she wholeheartedly supported my strong interest in Adventures/Digimon when I was first getting into this series, even if she didn’t know anything about it, (other than small bits I told her) even she could see how much I loved it. (Because she was one of my closest family members, she was also the one who overall learnt the most about my health. When I was, few years after discovering Adventure as a child, diagnosed Autistic and with generalized Anxiety disorder as well, she continued to support me all throughout, educated herself & our other interconnected family about my conditions, and continuously encouraged my interests and growth.)

Original Posters [Mine] commentary: I made this quick A.M.V edit a handful of days ago to this gorgeous song by Miyano, one of my favorite JPN voice actors/singers, {You may know him as: Dent[o] in JPN Pocket Monsters, Tamaki in Ouran, Rin in Free!, Tokiya in Utano*Prince-sama (where this song comes from), Konoha, Haruka & “Clearing Eyes” in Kage-Pro, among many more} mainly made with thoughts of general appreciation for this series in mind. I also made it with thoughts of my Grandmother in mind, who passed late August 2015, (yes, August). Tri had been announced, but wouldn’t yet air until November. I didn’t start much more actively blogging about Digimon until a bit later on, starting from a couple years later, because I was still heavily grieving. However, I still enjoyed reblogging Digimon posts I enjoyed to other blogs I had at the time even in the pre-Tri and early Tri years.

This was made very quickly, so it’s not perfect, has minimal editing, and the 1st Adventure portion is straight from the final battle with no editing done to it, but it fit the music well enough, so I included it as-is for now. I’ll probably re-arrange scenes if I remake it later and include much more other, varied scenes from Adventure, (for example, during end of Yamato’s portion, I was also thinking of the Yamato&Sora+Jou scene from the end of Dark Masters Arc).

(^One of my favorite Adventure scenes regardless of personal favs) But until I can edit those in, I’m just leaving this as it is. The middle portion with 02 is edited slightly more timed to music. A major Tri ending spoiler for the final battle’s result appears during the end. Kizuna is not included in here as of yet, but it may be in the future, along with Adventure 2020. All of this will probably be rearranged in a remake overall, but I’m keeping the general themeing & feel as-is for now, along with the Tri ending scenes.

What if he’s been in control since the end of Mayhem?

Okay, my left eye’s in pain from straining and all, but fuck it, I NEED to share this theory because I am quite a bit SHOOK and I need others to hear this. Brace yourselves, guys. This is going to be a LONG post.

I’ve seen a lot of theories before in regards to who’s been in control all this time, and I admittedly was one of those people who suspected Anti’s been here since Say Goodbye. But then there have been other theories in regards to Schneep having saved Jack every time Anti slit his neck, pointing out how bloodshed probably triggers Anti to come out. Now let’s say that’s the case, in which case Anti hasn’t been in control since Say Goodbye; he’s just shown up anytime Jack bled. That would mean we have been watching Jack for the most part with Anti trying to glitch out on camera and take control. Keep this all in mind, okay?

With what happened yesterday with Anti clearly being in control, acting calm and staring into our souls, only a twitch of his eye being a clear giveaway of who we were seeing, it made me have an epiphany last night:

If Anti’s gotten THAT good - THAT seamless - at acting exactly like Jack to the point no glitches show up, has he been in control for some time? Have we been unknowingly watching him for the last couple of months? And if he has been in control, well then when did it all start - when did we unknowingly lose sight of Jack?

The answer? May 16th, “Exiles” - near the end of Mayhem.

In the “Exiles” video, at the beginning, Jack was breathing quite heavy and looking around, looking and acting like he had just gotten transported there. He said he didn’t know anything about the game and he blatantly said he didn’t remember how he got into the room (in a hospital, by the way).

He also rubs at his eyes earlier on.

And it isn’t until the end of the video when THIS happens.

During mid-sentence, unexpectedly, he gets cut off and is suddenly staring at us, wide-eyed and mouth hanging agape. Soft groans of agony are heard rasping out of him as his eyes begin to bleed, all while whispers repeat “It’s your fault” in the background.

Jump to May 22nd, “First Winter”. A few glitches of the facecam are shown throughout the video, and at 2-3 instances, we see this:

Between the brief glitches, we get glimpses of Jack with bloody tears lining his face, eyes glazed over with emptiness, mouth agape, slumped in his chair. He’s dead. 

Where I’m going with this is what if during the time of Exiles, Anti got to Jack, killed him AGAIN (just like Say Goodbye, used bloodshed to get control), got him out of the way, and took over right there and then. And the flashes of Jack’s corpse in his chair was an indication of that - a hint to us that the guy currently playing the game is NOT Jack and that the REAL Jack fucking died AGAIN a week before. 

Keeping this all in mind, I went back to look into anything and everything that has happened AFTER “Exiles” to see how Jack’s behavior has been, and boy oh boy, guys...

Firstly, as far as I can tell, before “First Winter”, there were no glitches (excluding the ending of “Stories Untold - Chapter 4″ when Jack woke up and any glitches that showed Marvin or JJ). We got a few strange and eerie things here and there, such as the ending to the “GIANT SMELLY FEET!” video 

and the “Barry Has A Secret” video

On June 11th - after Mayhem - he commented on a post with “Anti isn’t afraid of anything”

He reblogged fanart of Anti as a deviant, commenting with “F R E E”

And the titles of both videos that day were very ominous.

July 23rd - in his roast video, he said, “This is your chance to get a few stabs in. Get the knife, go crazy. Twist it, turn it!”, with an eerie smile and crazed look in his eyes at the end.

July 25th - the goddamn intro....the goddamn intro is the exact opposite. It’s supposedly Anti’s intro - word for word.

July 29th - He reblogged artwork of Jackieboy Man with the artist commenting on how they miss him. He commented with “We all do :)”

He also reblogged a gifset of him from REACT explaining how people want to see behind the veil, commenting with a winky face.

August 1st - he changed the title of the 1st FNAF Sister Location video to “THE START OF THE NIGHTMARE”

August 3rd - in the outro, Sam’s tank is broken and a figure is faintly seen laughing or screaming the background. Maybe it’s Jack trying to call out for help? (Just a little reminder: This was the anniversary of KJSE, in which we barely even heard Jack call out for help in....)

August 5th - at the very end, “I will return when you least expect it” is heard being said in reverse (If Anti’s been in control for this long and we haven’t been able to notice till now, I’d say it’s pretty fucking unexpected).

September 21st - Oh boy. There were glitches.

The title and description, as well as the fact he linked FNAF Sister Location as well.

September 24th - OH BOY. There were glitches, some of which showed Anti from “Dark Silence”

His right eye in the thumbnail is glitchy and has a small green tint to it.

And the title changed multiple times, once asking “HAVEYOUSEENHIM” and another with “HELP” combined with “edited” - maybe Jack’s trying to call out for our help.

October 14th - there were glitches in the video, most notable a glitch splitting down his face to show one side all glitchy, all right as he said, “Time to take off the masks” while grinning.

Earlier on, he questioned if he was dead, checked his pulse, and confirmed that he was in fact dead.

October 16th - the description was calling us out as puppets and asking us if we knew who the Puppet Master was - possibly Anti taking a jab at us.

October 20th - there were a few glitches with someone - possibly Chase - trying to reach out and tell Jack to wake up, only to get cut off.

October 22nd - During the Q&A at the Amsterdam show, he was questioned if Anti would be back on Halloween. He said “I don’t know, I can’t tell, maybe, who knows?” (If Anti’s been in control all this time, then he was right there, boldface lying to everyone because surprise surprise, he’s been here the entire time!)

October 26th - the title of the video blatantly telling us “The end is here”

November 11th - He reblogged a post about the Undertale thumbnails relating to Anti, to which he commented with “Time is broken”. He also reblogged fanart of the egos pixelated in Deltarune style, reading “Your wonderful creations will be discarded now”, to which he commented with “This is a neat idea!”

November 12th - at times, while voicing Susie, his voice bordered on sounding like Anti while angry. His right eye also acted up twice.

He was seen wearing his gauges this day as well.

November 19th - the title - possibly in reference to Anti having to kill Jack repeatedly to get control.

December 1st - the title

The glitches and the fact that he said “Do you remember?” at the very end.

I would like to point out here that, to me, it seems like any of the glitches we’ve seen before this have been more...subtle? Like, with Say Goodbye, Always Watching, KJSE - the glitches all seemed more frantic and intense. Any glitches we’ve gotten this year leading up to THIS video seemed a lot more subtle to me and it wasn’t until “Umfend” when we got more spastic glitches. Just an observation - maybe because it’s getting closer to when a certain someone was going to show himself...

December 6th - He was seen wearing his gauges to the awards. (Granted, it could be just because he wants to wear them for fun, but still...maybe our glitchy boy is getting more comfortable in his new meat suit).

December 7th - the title informing us to watch the ending (also a jab at what happened yesterday)

The goddamn outro was all glitchy and Sam disappears on 2-3 occasions - could be implying that Jack truly is gone and a certain someone is in control...

December 9th - at one point during the stream, he’s looking at Ethan like he wants to kill him (this just reminds me of last year’s Christmas stream when he told Ethan he was feeling murderous)

December 11th - the title - could be in reference that the big twist is that we’ve been watching Anti this whole time.

December 14th - the title of the video (also Cloak’s slogan) as well as the ominous description

At this point, he’s just blatantly telling us that he is right there in front of us, that he’s the one in control and we’re too fucking blind to see it. He took control of Jack way back in May during “Exiles” - just lured him in and with no warning, got to him. He made his eyes bleed, and with that, managed to kill him AGAIN and take control, and this time he’s ACED becoming human. How?

Schneep wasn’t there to save Jack this time.

Why?

Do you guys remember the last time we saw Schneep? Do you?

We last saw him on MAY 4TH! I would also like to add how - to me, anyway - it sounded like his voice cracked at one point and like there was pure madness in his eyes. Cause remember this, we STILL have no idea what happened from August 3rd, 2017 up to this date. We STILL have no idea what happened to our doctor. Yeah, some of you will say he had gone of vacation, but really, after what happened in KJSE, I CANNOT see how or why he would’ve gone on vacation. As I see it, he’s either horribly traumatized, he was corrupted by Anti, or he got replaced (in which case, the man seen here would not be Schneep).

I would also like to add, you know who else we haven’t seen since then?

Dr. Jacksepticeye - the one man we can all agree is NOT our doctor.

May 4th was the last time we ever saw Schneep and Dr. JSE. This was BEFORE Jack woke up and remembered what Anti did, as well as before he was murdered in “Exiles”. For 7 months now, we haven’t seen Schneep or Dr. JSE. 7 MONTHS! 

Kind of coincidental if you ask me to have Schneep vanish only days before Jack was trapped, murdered, and possessed. Almost like it was all a trap....maybe Dr. JSE was a puppet or Anti in disguise, used to lure Schneep out...to take him out of the picture for good. Because without a doctor around, Jack’s left a helpless victim.

7 Months for the glitch to FINALLY truly adjust to his new meat suit and learn how to stay in control.

To learn how to become human.

Now everyone, take a look at this man’s face again...

...and tell me - TELL ME - that isn’t the face of a glitchy murderer who’s taken over and KNOWS he’s the one in control.

Thank you to everyone who attended Frankenstein’s 200 double feature at Nitehawk Cinema!

It really was a perfect night for mystery and horror. The air itself was filled with monsters; it was a full audience at Nitehawk Cinema that came out to celebrate the Frankenstein’s 200 double feature last night on Tuesday, September 25th.

The one night only presentation of Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein marked Universal Monsters Universe’ fourth collaboration with Nitehawk Cinema and it was certainly the most exciting presentation yet. I have enjoyed a great relationship with Caryn Coleman, Liz Zimiles, and Florencia Varela (Ms. Varela has since moved on in her professional career, but was instrumental in first developing the Nitehawk/UMU partnership). I was beyond excited to learn of Nitehawk’s planned “The Monster Mash” movie theme for the month of October, especially to have been asked directly to collaborate on the Frankenstein’s 200 double feature.

In a desire to bring back a sense a proper monster movie showmanship to the screening beyond giveaways, I had asked friend and artist Dave Fox if he would be interested in designing a special, limited edition art print poster for the event. The picture below was his response:

For the Frankenstein’s 200 double feature, Universal Monsters Universe was able to present officially licensed enamel pins, patches, a Funko Pop vinyl figure, books – all to be used as giveaways, and a poster for every person in attendance. Following the screening, Dave Fox was gracious enough with his time to do an impromptu signing for any and all who wished to meet him and have their poster signed.

This was the first time that I saw Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein in theaters and to have been given the opportunity to see it with such a wonderful group of people in one of my favorite theaters was a remarkable experience. The Frankenstein’s 200 double feature ultimately would not have been possible if it wasn’t for the planning on Nitehawk’s part, but more so it would not have been as successful as it was if it weren’t for all of you – the monster kids of young and old! The monster kids are the ones that continually keep the spirit of the classic monsters alive all year round and I’m so happy to belong to easily one of the most inclusive and loving of fandoms.

I’ve made no secret of my love for Nitehawk Cinema over the years and I have had the great opportunity to partner with them on five movies now. Today's Reflection

The Apostles came back from their mission and briefed Jesus about all they taught and did. Jesus wanted them to go to a lonely place and have some rest as they were tired. But the crowd reached the destination before they could. This is typical of people. They are eager to make sacrifices and take risks to get whatever they dearly cherish. This they did and deprived the apostles of their rest. Jesus, who wanted to have privacy with them, rescinded his decision. He had compassion on the crowd and began to teach “for they were like sheep without a shepherd”. Sometimes we have to set aside our programmes and schedules to reach out to humanity or to God. I am speaking of June (06) 1(6)th of 2017, the 6th year mark for Duraxxor in his storyline of the Warcraft Universe. Always & Forever (One Shot)

 Summary: It’s your 6th wedding anniversary and Bucky wants to surprise you with something special. Only problem is, he’s absolutely clueless. Time to call in the Cavalry!

Warnings: NONE

A/N: This is my first one shot. I’m truly a sap for Bucky Barnes and romance. Happy reading!!!

7 years. That’s how long you and James Buchanan Barnes have been together. 2 years dating and 5 years married. No one knew the impact [Y/N] had on the brooding super soldier. She managed to creep inside his scrambled mind, knock out the darkness and replace it with happiness, self-worth, and unyielding love fierce as a lion and gentle as a lamb. That’s why Bucky knew your upcoming anniversary had to be nothing short of amazing!!!

 However, one MAJOR obstacle stood between him and the coveted “Husband of the Year” award…….James Buchanan Barnes didn’t know diddly-squat about planning an anniversary shindig!! Sure picking out flowers and candy were easy, along with ordering pizza or going out to dinner at ‘The Cre8tion Station’, a quaint little bistro [Y/N] loved, specializing in mouthwatering sushi, a vast array of soup and delicious chicken salad.  

 But your wedding anniversary wasn’t some mediocre occasion and everything had to be on a grander scale. Bucky wanted to have the dinner on the Tower’s rooftop!! In order to make this elegant evening come to life, he enlisted the help of some real heavy hitters; Pepper for her event planning expertise. She knew the best decorators, florists and caterers in the world! Nat and Wanda volunteered for shopping duty. They knew [Y/N’s] taste in clothing and Bucky trusted their flair for fashion.

 Let’s not forget Daddy Warbucks himself, Anthony Edward Stark. His fondness for her meant nothing was too expensive. That made Nat and Wanda simply giddy because running amuck in New York with limitless credit was every woman’s dream.

 [Y/N], Steve, Scott, Thor and Rhodey were on a 5 day mission, scheduled to return on Friday. This afforded Pepper, Nat, Wanda, and Tony time to plan without interference. It would be a total surprise!!! Tears pooled in Bucky’s azure blue-grey eyes simply thinking about your wedding anniversary. Never in a million years could he have dreamt love would overtake the demons in his mind and ground him. He loved [Y/N] with every fiber of his being and wanted nothing short of perfection to make this night memorable!!!

By the time Wednesday rolled around, ‘Operation Anniversary Surprise’ was in full effect. Bucky checked the weather forecast for the 100th time. Nat and Wanda’s tasks were complete. [Y/N’s] dress was stunning; a charcoal grey Kaufman Franco Studded Sleeveless V-Neck Cocktail dress, paired with black stiletto’s to accentuate [Y/N]’s long legs. Although Bucky wanted to see her dress, Nat and Wanda forbid him from peeking until Friday.

Bucky and Tony visited “DuBose & Son Atelier.” Francois chose a Charcoal grey fitted suit, deep purple tie and pocket square. He said it brought out Bucky’s blue eyes. “Monsieur Barnes, c’est magnifique and might I add, no outfit is complete without a pair of black shoes.”

Tony pointed to a pair of black Hugo Boss Italian Leather shoes. “Excellent choice Monsieur Stark.” Bucky stepped out of the fitting room. Tony and Francois were absolutely floored. “I gotta admit Buckaroo, you look dashing. Not as handsome as I am, but it’s a close fifth.”

 Turning his gaze towards the full length mirror, Bucky couldn’t believe his eyes. Gone were the shadows that outlined his scarred body; gone were the voices that ran rampant through his thoughts.

“Hmmm, not bad Barnes,” he mumbled.

On the roof, workers scurried stringing up purple and white fairy lights, arranging flowers, decorating the table and setting up the buffet. For dinner Pepper chose: Moroccan Meatballs with Pomegranate Glaze, Spinach Salad with Warm Butter Dressing, Rosemary Lamb with Lemon Herb Roasted Potatoes and Petite Carrots, Parker House Rolls and for dessert a decadent Chocolate Raspberry Souffle’.

Wanda and Nat were instructed to intercept [Y/N] once she disembarked the Quinjet. “There she is!!!” Wanda skipped over and pulled her bestie into a hug. Nat took her bag, as they walked into the Tower.

��“Hey!!! Where’s Bucky?!”

 They looked at each other with a smirk. “Sorry, Barnes isn’t available.”

 Concern overtook [Y/N’s] thoughts.

 “OMGosh, what’s happened?? Is he alright??”

Her [Y/E/C] clouded with tears. Nat spoke up.

 “Oh sweetie, everything’s fine. Here call him.”

 With her curiosity peaked, [Y/N] took the phone and called Bucky.

 “Hey doll. How are you?”

 “Bucky, where are you? What’s going on?”

 “That’s a surprise. You’re to go with Wanda and Nat. Just know my love for you runs deeper than the ocean and is timeless. I love you so much.”

 “Oh Bucky, I love and miss you terribly. I’ll see you later?”

 “See ya later, my angel.”

 [Y/N] pointed to Wanda and Nat, “Okay spill it!!!!”

 Nat put on her poker face, “Nope, come with us.”

 Instead of going to her apartment, she was whisked off to another floor, where hair and make-up people were standing by for her anniversary transformation.

 After a long hot shower, the extremely anxious Mrs. Barnes sat down to be pampered. Nat and Wanda watched from the sofa as [Y/N’s] hair was cut and make-up applied.  The stylist chopped her long locks into a cute, short pixie cut. Her friends clapped when she was turned around in the chair.

 Nat whistled, “You look like a million bucks sweetie.”

Wanda chimed in, “Yes!!!”

 A note in Bucky’s handwriting lay on the dresser.

 Hey Dollface,

         I ain’t one for making speeches and such, so I wrote it down. So, here goes. From the first day we met, you captured my heart and I ain’t been right since. That’s a good thing ‘cuz I was messed up something awful. Of all the men you could’ve been with, you chose me and I’m over the moon and beyond glad.

         You’re the air I breathe, my sunshine, my rock and my best friend. Babe, I love you so much. I’ll do anything to keep you safe.

         6 years of being married to this knucklehead ain’t been easy, but you didn’t leave me and M’so glad. Thank you for loving me through the good times and bad.

         Happy Anniversary, love of my life. See you soon!

The rooftop was transformed into a magical wonderland. Purple and white fairy lights twinkled overhead, luscious green foliage and aromatic roses were strategically placed around the edges of the roof. In the background, a waterfall provided a steady stream of serenity.

 And the cherry on top was James Buchanan Barnes, standing before you smiling brighter than the sun, moon and stars combined.

But I worry that careless digging will disturb the landscape. I challenge myself to think about his work with the care and sensitivity that he puts into it.

Memorial (The Silver Key): Word spread on Facebook last night that Charles Saunders, author of Imaro, has passed away. It is being reported he died in May. Odd that an obituary search turns up empty.  Let’s hope it may be a rumor, but it does not appear that way. Author Milton Davis, who continued in Saunders’ “Sword-and-Soul” tradition, broke the news, and many authors, friends, and peers have chimed in since.

Cinema (Wert Zone): Born in Doncaster, South Yorkshire in 1938, Rigg was raised by her parents in Bikaner, India. Returning to the UK, she trained as an actress and made her stage debut in 1957 and her TV debut two years later. In 1965 she was cast in the first of her three major screen roles on the fourth season of British spy series The Avengers, playing Emma Peel. Peel was an action heroine with a line in witticisms, engaged in a constant battle of comebacks and ambiguous tension with her co-star Patrick Macnee (playing John Steed).

Cinema (Wasteland & Sky): The 1970s are still looked on by movie snobs as the peak of cinema, destroyed by the aforementioned filthy space movie that opened the theaters of the 1980s to juvenile pap. This is of course ignoring that the 1970s were dead, spiritually, and morally, which makes many of those 1970s “classics” more worthless than the juvenile goofy space movie. It actually has a moral point, regardless of what you think of it. 1970s cinema, as a whole, did not.

Games (Bleeding Fool):  The new game Black Ops Cold War takes place during Reagan’s presidency during the height of the cold war with communist Russia. The initial trailer features KGB defector Yuri Bezmenov speaking about the communist’s plan to bring down America from within. If you pay attention, you may recognize some of the moves being used by the left today. The trailer urges you to “know your history or be doomed to repeat it” as it flashes images from the cold war across the screen.

History (DMR Books): This past Friday marked the four hundred and fifty-fifth anniversary of the definitive end to the Great Siege of Malta. On September 11, 1565, the tattered and battered fleet of Suleiman the Magnificent sailed away from the tiny island of Malta, utterly humiliated. The Ottoman Turks had disembarked amid imperial splendor nearly four months earlier. Their soldiers were reckoned in the tens of thousands, outnumbering by a factor of four to one–at minimum–the Knights Hospitaller and the Maltese who fought alongside them.

Fiction (Galactic Journey): The book is titled The Wizard of Lemuria but we don’t meet the wizard until Chapter 4. There are 12 chapters. The first quarter of the novella-length book is spent introducing our hero, Thongor of Valkarth. He is, although a lowly barbarian mercenary, both mighty and honorable. The book opens on the aftermath of a wager on a zamph race. Jeled Malkh—an officer and swordmaster—lost the wager, and attacked Thongor rather than pay up. Thongor quickly overcame him, shrugged off the bet, and offered to drink away their differences.

War Gaming (Jon Mollison): Miniature wargames in general, and historical wargaming in particular, are headed down the same road as every other hobby out there. You’d think those with an interest in history would be better prepared to learn from the history of other hobbies, but it doesn’t look that way. A lot of ink is being spilled and chit is being chattered about how to save the hobby from… well, from something that can’t really be shown or identified.

Comic Books (Screen Rant): Heads are gonna roll – as well as fly, disintegrate, and cave in upon themselves, along with pretty much any other violent act that can be inflicted upon a head – in the latest adaptation of Robert E. Howard’s Conan the Barbarian. Originally published in Weird Tales and later adapted by Dark Horse Comics, the story of the legendary Destroyer is now published by Ablaze, a publication that has given Conan a sword more caked with blood than ever before thanks in part to their decision to create a truly uncensored version of his exploits.

D&D (Grognardia): I’ve never been much of a fan of Deities & Demigods, though I owned it, of course. Why wouldn’t I? I have always had decidedly completionist tendencies and being an unabashed TSR fanboy, there was no chance I wouldn’t purchase this book as soon as I was able to do so. It’s true I didn’t get much use out of it, but I still proudly displayed it on my bookshelf, right next to the Monster Manual.

Guns (Frontier Partisans): As will most when forced to fight for their way of life, the Apaches of The War Chief utilized any weapon to which they might lay hand. Some of these they fabricated, with especially skilled artisans becoming highly revered by the tribe. The Apaches ranged a broad swathe of the American West and portions of Mexico, and so various materials fell into their hands — materials they converted into bows, arrows, and war clubs, including the famous jawbone club. These weapons and tools, for centuries, they fabricated themselves from indigenous materials.

Edgar Rice Burroughs (Pulpfest): The 2020 Edgar Rice Burroughs Chain of Friendship (ECOF) Gathering will be held Sunday, October 11 through Tuesday, October 13 in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Guest of Honor is acclaimed comic book artist and Hollywood illustrator Daniel Parsons. COVID-19 restrictions dictate this will be a small gathering in two large meeting rooms at the Country Inn & Suites located at 1650 Doris Drive. Fort Atkinson is located just 35 miles from Madison or 65 miles from Milwaukee. It’s 100 miles from Chicago O’Hare International Airport.

Fiction (Old Style Tales): “Some Haunted Houses” is easily one of Bierce’s most entertaining series of tales. I recommend it as the ideal Hallowe’en reading choice – a collection of pithy short stories that exude the gloomy atmosphere and chilling mood that make stories like Jacobs’ “The Monkey’s Paw” or Poe’s “House of Usher” horror classics. Reading one after another, a strange feeling of uneasiness creeps into your imagination as Bierce’s reporterly prose calmly details what sound like the verifiable details of veridical hauntings.

Cinema (Swords & Stitchery): There is a space opera out there that came out back in the day that most of you had never heard of… A bit of background, on the weekends back in the 90s I would get into my car & go down to Wallingford,Ct for a weekend of Anime at a local comic shop. I would spend the weekend with friends & one of the things we saw was this. Crusher Joe was made into an animated film in 1983, and a pair of for-video animated episodes in 1989. The film version won the Animage Anime Grand Prix prize in 1983.

Gaming (Future War Stories): There are time when we must ask ourselves when we witness what could have been: how can this not exist? That is how I and many other gamers felt during the recent leak of a Xbox development kit for the Blizzard cancelled StarCraft: GHOST 3rd person action/stealth game for the 6th generation. For many of us, GHOST was going to be first day buy for our OG Xbox consoles…and then there were delay after delay until GHOST was placed on DNR status in 2006 by Blizzard after nearly six years of development that span two studios.

Tolkien (Notion Club Papers): John Garth. The Worlds of JRR Tolkien: the places that inspired Middle-Earth. Frances Lincoln, London: UK, 2020. pp 208. John Garth is one of the best and most important writers on JRR Tolkien. This is his first full-length book since the landmark volume Tolkien and the Great War of 2003; so I knew I would enjoy it. From the title, and the fact that it is a large format, really beautifully-produced, hardback volume; I supposed The Worlds of JRR Tolkien might be dominated by the pictures, maybe even be something like a superior ‘coffee table’ book?

Fiction (Library Blog): This week marks the bicentenary of Sir Walter Scott’s twelfth novel The Abbot, published in Edinburgh on 2 September 1820 and in London two days later. Alone among the Waverley Novels, it was presented not as a stand-alone narrative but as the sequel to an earlier volume, The Monastery, which had appeared just six months earlier. Set in the early years of the Scottish Reformation, The Monastery had sold well but had disappointed many readers and reviewers. Criticism was directed, in particular, at the pivotal role played by the ghostly White Lady,

Cinema (Hollywoodintoto): Reporters have spent days detailing why “Terminator: Dark Fate” became the year’s most embarrassing flop. The movie made just $29 million stateside, and its foreign box office totals are equally weak ($94 million and counting). That’s no way for a franchise reboot to perform. Most observers are writing the saga’s obituary. Those reporters nailed some of the core reasons for its box office woes, from franchise fatigue to recycled story beats. Most missed another crucial factor. The sad decline of Arnold Schwarzenegger, A-list movie star.

Fiction (Adventures Fantastic): So yesterday’s post on Edgar Rice Burroughs and Harold Lamb and the recent post on the canon, coupled with today is the anniversary of the passing of J. R. R. Tolkien and the seventh anniversary of the death of Frederik Pohl, got me to thinking. I referred to Burroughs and Lamb as giants. In the canon post I quoted Newton talking about his achievements being due to his standing on the shoulders of giants. So who exactly are the giants in the field?

Fiction (Tentaculii): There’s a new bibliographic website for prolific British writer Michael Moorcock. The Works Of Michael Moorcock is obviously still a work-in-progress, but the pages for books and shorter fiction appear fairly complete. Moorcock tried his hand with at least one Sherlock Holmes pastiche, but has no overtly Lovecraftian pastiches that I’m aware of. His leftist attacks on many other writers, often described in words such as ‘brusque’ or ‘pungent’, turned out no differently in Lovecraft’s case and with the usual knocks being offered (“astonishingly awful prose” etc).

Fiction (George Kelley): I’ve been a big fan of Hank Davis’s Science Fiction anthologies over the years. Just in time for the Holiday Season, BAEN Books released Space Pioneers, an anthology with just about something for every readers’ taste. In typical Hank Davis fashion, the mix of stories blends Oldies with some newer stories like David Drake’s “Superweapon” (2018). I especially enjoyed Ross Rocklynne’s “Quietus” and Manly Wade Wellman’s “Men Against the Stars.” If you’re in the mood for an entertaining theme anthology, I recommend Space Pioneers. GRADE: A

Fiction (Paperback Warrior): In 2019, Stark House Press generated a commercial and critical hit with the release of The Best of Manhunt, an anthology of stories from the legendary 1950s crime fiction digest. Knowing a good thing when they see it, the reprint publisher has compiled a second volume of blood-on-the-knuckles tales from the popular magazine’s heyday for an August 2020 release.

Writing (Rawle Nyanzi): Recently, I came across an article (archive here) about the evolution of the horror genre in film. While the article is from 2000, and I’m not a horror fan myself, one point stuck with me: how scientific materialism, rather than an understanding of good and evil, became dominant in horror filmmaking, starting with George Romero’s Night of the Living Dead. In the materialist worldview, the universe came into being by random chance, and so did the Earth and humanity.

Writing (Kairos): World building is the one element that sets speculative fiction apart from every other category of writing. When designing a secondary world, it’s crucial to establish a foundation of internally consistent principles to help readers suspend their disbelief. Religion in general has been a constant of human existence. Writing a secondary world where there are no and never have been any religions will automatically cause tension between the setting and known history, straining credibility (though it could make for an interesting story hook if handled properly).

Tolkien (Jon Mollison): Listening to the Silmarillion on audiobook, and something occurred to me. The three themes of the Ainur presage the three ages of Middle-Earth.  From the Tolkien Gateway: The Ainur’s flawless Music satisfied even Ilúvatar during this early stage. The Second Theme was “like and yet unlike” the First; it gathered new power and beauty. Soon, however, Melkor’s discord rose up against it, and there was a “war of sound more violent than before”. This time, Melkor’s Theme triumphed over that of the others; many of the Ainur stopped singing entirely out of dismay.

Senate Confirms Trump Court Pick Who Repeatedly Weakened Voting Rights

WASHINGTON ― The Senate voted Thursday to confirm Eric Murphy to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, meaning a 40-year-old lawyer who repeatedly led efforts to make it harder for people to vote will now be a lifetime federal judge.

Murphy, who has been the solicitor general of Ohio since 2013, was confirmed 52-46. Every Republican voted for him. Every Democrat voted against him. Two senators, Doug Jones (D-Ala.) and David Perdue (R-Ga.), did not vote.

Democrats criticized Murphy’s nomination for several reasons. He argued in 2015 that same-sex marriage would be “disruptive … to our constitutional democracy” in a brief he filed in the Obergefell v. Hodges marriage equality case before the Supreme Court. In 2014, he argued against women’s access to contraception in Sebelius v. Hobby Lobby.

But Murphy is perhaps best known for defending Ohio’s notorious voter purge law before the Supreme Court in 2018, arguing that the state should be able to drop people from its voter rolls if they don’t vote for six years and don’t respond to a postcard asking them to confirm their address. The court upheld the law in a contentious 5-4 decision, with Justice Sonia Sotomayor writing in her dissent that the law will disproportionately make it harder for “minority, low-income, disabled, homeless, and veteran voters to cast a ballot.”

That same year, Murphy argued in favor of upholding the so-called perfection requirement, allowing Ohio to discard ballots because of minor clerical errors.

In 2014, Murphy defended the elimination of Ohio’s “Golden Week,” a five-day period in which voters could register and vote at the same time. The state created the period in response to the 2004 election, when many Ohio voters were forced to wait in line for up to 12 hours to vote. The 6th Circuit ruled in favor of getting rid of the period, but Judge Jane Stranch wrote in her dissent that it would impose “a disproportionate burden on African Americans” and “was linked to social and historical conditions of discrimination that diminish the ability of African Americans to participate in the political process.”

In fiery remarks on the Senate floor, Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) tore into Murphy’s nomination and said what is “most despicable” about his confirmation vote is that it comes on the 54th anniversary of Bloody Sunday, when civil rights marchers were beaten and tear-gassed as they marched in Selma, Alabama.

“I can’t imagine my Republican colleagues came from Georgia and Kansas … thinking, ‘I’m going to take the oath of office and you know what one of the things is I’m going to do? I’m going to vote to restrict voting rights,’” he said. ”‘I’m going to vote to tell gay people they can’t marry. I’m going to vote to take away worker rights. I’m going to vote for judges that put their thumb on the scale of justice.’ … I can’t believe that’s why any of you came.”

The Ohio senator said the judicial selection process has become painfully partisan under President Donald Trump. Whether it was George W. Bush or George H.W. Bush, Republican presidents used to nominate “wise, prudent lawyers who believed in public service” to be lifetime judges, he said.

“They didn’t believe in some far-right agenda where they put their thumb on the scale of justice,” said Brown. “They picked picked middle-of-the-road, thoughtful workers that actually believed in civil rights. Shocking.”

Murphy is the third of three U.S. circuit court nominees who Republicans confirmed this week. All three are young, right-wing ideologues who are members of the conservative Federalist Society, which has been driving Trump’s judicial selection process by funneling anti-abortion and anti-LGBTQ prospective nominees to the White House.

On Tuesday, the Senate confirmed Allison Jones Rushing, 37, to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit. She worked for the anti-LGBTQ group Alliance Defending Freedom and has argued that there were “moral and practical” reasons for banning same-sex marriage. On Wednesday, the Senate confirmed Chad Readler, 46, to the same court as Murphy. Readler played a leading role in the Trump administration’s efforts to dismantle Obamacare’s protections for people with pre-existing medical conditions.

This week’s votes are part of a broader effort by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) to dramatically reshape federal courts while Trump is in the White House. He has made circuit court confirmations his top priority, as circuit courts are often the last word in federal court cases. The Supreme Court hears only about 100 to 150 appeals of the more than 7,000 cases that come before the nation’s 13 circuit courts each year.

With Murphy’s confirmation, Trump has now gotten 34 circuit judges, 53 district judges and two Supreme Court justices confirmed. Trump has gotten so many circuit judges confirmed ― more than any other president by this point in his first term ― that 1 in 6 seats on the U.S. circuit courts is now filled by a Trump nominee.

Only six weeks after releasing their sophomore album, Migos have officially earned their second Platinum record. What took Culture five months, Culture II has now gone platinum in less than six weeks with its single “Stir Fry” as the NBA All Star Weekend’s official song.

Post Malone has earned himself a huge feat as well. His “Psycho” single, featuring Ty Dolla $ign, debuted No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. 

The 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards took place last night and many great things happened. From Eminem and Kehlani performing together, to Cardi announcing her debut album will finally be arriving in April (let’s hope), to Chance The Rapper being honored with the Innovator Award. 41 - What’s the nicest thing have you given to someone? - Most recently I gave Ryan the best birthday presents of his entire life. Got it all on video. I also gave him a very sentimental book commemorating our relationship and it made him cry so that too

42 - Would you go back to your previous relationship? - Hell no. Mostly i look back and wonder why i let myself stay with him for so long. I guess wildly changing friend groups (and sometimes no friends) made me want some stability
