I'm not a geo/space-political egghead or anything like that, but don't you think it's kinda messed up that Earth is overly represented in the Green Lantern Corp. Compared to other planets?

Kyle: I hate to admit this, but Guy here have a point. Why do we have so many Green Lanterns from Earth anyway? Heck! I got to be one and all I had to do is be in the right place in the right time.

Hal: Huh? You know I never thought about it like that. And this kind of put all the Alien attacks we had into a new perspective. Do you think they attacked us because we have too many influence in galactic affairs? I mean Green Lantern aside there's too many notable humans in Galaxy despite us not being a space faring species.

Jo: This is definitely gonna make my assignment to the Far Sector a lot more problematic. I'm in the same boat as Kyle I was personally recruited by the Guardian in a club. I don't think that's normally how you get the ring.

John: What the heck with there's more humans in the Lantern Corp. Has to do with anything? All of us are Green Lanterns now and there's no changing that. Whether the ring chose us or the Guardians did, matters little, we still have the responsibility of a Lantern. And I don't think they are wrong in making their choices.

On the (continued) topic of Spidey in DC, if I can be a bit crass with the subject matter... how many DC heroines (or DC villainesses, if you want to dip your toes in that puddle) do you think would find Peter/Spidey genuinely attractive as a person, even if they might not actually get to see his face? Not to step on Gwen or MJ's toes or anything but I feel like a lot of DC ladies would see that prime real estate and want in on that property, iykwim.

I just feel like there'd be, on more than one occasion, moments where a few random lady members of the League would absolutely play a few rounds of FMK if bored enough, Spider-Man would be among the choices, and it's usually F or M, but almost never K for the webslinger.

Honestly Spider-Man's like a brother to me, and a kid brother at that (...maybe because he's my younger brother's favorite superhero...), so beyond MJ (and to a much lesser extent Deadpool), I never really 'got' the concept of Spidey as the Marvel Comics Community Bicycle. He talks too much, and when he's put next to other heroes, it very quickly becomes "talks too much because he's self-conscious," so like, he's relatable to me, absolutely, but he's never really been that much of a romantic lead in my head. He's too much of the narrative's chew toy to be that, so like... you do have some overlap with Jimmy Olsen in that respect.

That being said, if I had to pick like... potential DC characters that would be into him, I'd say definitely Misa, my deep-cut fave from the 90's Superman comics that everyone has forgotten about. She has a fun tech-hippie look. She's obnoxious, she likes to cause problems on purpose--but deep down she's actually surprisingly well-meaning and very supportive of other characters going through really sloppy points in their own character arcs. She can be delightful fun in that "Aren't you tired of being nice? Don't you just want to go apeshit?" sense that I think would be a good contrast to Spidey. On top of that, they both have a passion for gadgetry! I'd love to see her tinker with his spider-suit capabilities! This, again, is Spidey moving into Jimmy Olsen's territory, because Misa was also a romantic interest for Jimmy Olsen for a handful of issues.

Again, I'd also like to see Spidey get sucked into the Forever People polycule. There's no escape. Just osmose him in.

I should probably try and veer this to more recognizable names, but I could also see 20-something Spider-Man getting with a Green Lantern. Either Kyle Rayner or Jessica Cruz. The mainstream Justice League I largely see perceiving Spider-Man as pretty much a kid. Zatanna could be a fun option, and also versatile depending on like, what level-of-maturity Spidey you want to work with.

OHH DONNA TROY OR CASSANDRA CAIN. WOMEN WHO WILL ELBOW-DROP HIM AND HE'LL THANK THEM FOR IT. Guy who goes "Hiiiii" and girl who goes "Bruh" power couples.

Blonde Twink stick-in-the-mud Brainiac-5 is an option, too. Someone to be geeky with but who is also kind of a bitch to offset your obnoxiousness. (Give him back his looong haaaaair).

Also I don't know if this would be shippy, but I would be interested in seeing him interact with Raven. Just the combination of Hope/Despair/Crushing Responsibility/Empathy would be very interesting to watch.

So I was having a conversation with a bunch of Batfamily fans, and the discussion was that there are too many Batfamily characters, do you agree? Yes or No? And I was like no they aren’t a lot, it’s just DC don’t know, or have the resources to put every character in a book consistently, and if they did fans would get annoyed that it’s only Batfamily characters, which fair. And then it came down to who would you have in your Batfamily? And you only get 7 characters, and I was like, damn that is a hard choice, mainly because I had differing choices of who would be Batman, and the time period of the Batfamily, but like my current time Batfamily would be: Bruce Wayne as Batman Dick Grayson as Nightwing Barbara Gordon as Oracle Tim Drake as Red Robin Stephanie Brown as Batgirl Cassandra Cain as Black Bat Helena Wayne as Robin Now I know, what you may be thinking, ‘No Damian or Jason? Wrong’ And I would mostly agree with you. But, while I’m interested that Jason isn’t using guns or killing anymore I think it takes a big part away from him, in terms as a character, especially as Red Hood. And Damian.... while he is more popular than probably all the listed characters barring Bruce and Dick due to his exposure in media outside of comics, I argue that DC writers don’t really like him, as once one part of his character development ends he just reverts to killing and being Damian from when he was first introduced... and I wasn’t exactly fond of Damian back then. Plus, I think Jason works better as a character who died, as in he adds more to Bruce’s and Batman’s legacy as a kid who died. And Damian, I don’t know he’s Robin, but he’s also not? Well, same with Tim to be honest, although it’s more, he acts like Red Robin, kinda, but is Robin. Also, I like the fact that I picked Helena as I believe she is a character who could be great. She would be a great Robin, depending on the Batman as well, and it would mean you get a mainstream female Robin who isn’t from an alternate future or simply Robin for about 73 days and then killed off in a real shitty way, just to further a love interests downfall into self-doubt aaaand then retcon it four years later. Okay, so I’m not over War Games and Steph’s Death. But my Future State or just future Batfamily in general would be: Tim Drake as Batman Cassandra Cain as Batwoman Stephanie Brown as Nightwing Helena Wayne as Huntress Terry McGinnis as Robin And then add more characters, like their own kids or just introduce new characters, to fill the gaps that Bruce, Dick, and Babs would have left when they retire, yes retire, don’t kill any of them, or turn into... *Shudder* Ric Grayson. And I’m going to defend my Tim as Batman, as while he has always been depicted as evil if he did become Batman, except when he became Batman Beyond, I argue that’s when all his family is dead and has lost hope, but in this alternate reality he still has his older sister, Cass, his younger sister, Helena, his dad, Bruce, his brother, Dick, and long term love interest/best friend/possibly wife, Stephanie. (More than likely his love interest though, I can’t help myself) so I don’t think he would go evil, and his Robin would be an opposite to him so their dynamics and personalities wouldn’t collide.

But yeah that’s just me.  Also, my Future Justice League would look like this: Tim Drake as Batman Donna Troy as Wonder Woman Karen Starr as Superwoman M’gann M’orzz as Martian Manhunter Wally West as Flash Conner Hawke as Green Arrow Jessica Cruz as Green Lantern Koriand’r as Starfire Lorena Marquez as Aquawoman Rachel Roth as Raven Kyle Rayner as White Lantern And again, that’s just my opinion, and if you want comment your own.

Hey guys. There was a question in the inbox about who we would cast as Batman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Superboy, and Green Lantern in the Arrowverse. I was having technical difficulties and deleted it by accident. My apologies.

Anywho.

Batman: Brett Dalton would be a pretty great Bruce Wayne, and he certainly looks great in black.

Aquaman: Peter Mensah, the voice of Predaking from Transformers Prime, as well as the guy who played the Persian Messenger in 300. Sure, not a conventional choice, but he has presence, and have you heard him yell "I am your king!"? Chills every time.

Wonder Woman: Obvious choice for her is Gal Gadot.

Superboy: Mon-El is kind of already Superboy, or at least a version of him, but Tom Holland or Taron Egerton would make pretty good Conner Kents.

Green Lantern: Hmm... We have a few options here.

Alan Scott: Sean Bean or Alan Tudyk. I'm fine with either one being a one and done mentor.

Hal Jordan: Sam Witwer. Starkiller and Darth Maul. He's got the jawline. Liam Hemsworth would be fine by me as well.

Jon Stewart: Chiwetel Ejiofor (Mordo from Doctor Strange) or David Oyelowo (Kallus from Star Wars Rebels). Most people want Idris Elba, but I sould prefer him as Black Manta, though I would be fine with any of those three actora playing either character.

Guy Gardner: Domhnall Gleeson, especially if they go down the Red Lantern path.

Kyle Rayner: I want an unknown for this guy. Get a small time person who has acting chops but hasn't been in anything to do it. It fits the character. If it must be a known actor, I'd be okay with Dylan O'brien.

Simon Baz: Riz Ahmed, man. I love the guy, and he would be great as Simon.

Jessica Cruz: Gina Rodriguez. She's the only person who comes to mind.

Bonus: Luke Evans as Sinestro. Just look at him. They'd need minimal makeup, and the guy can both fight and act.
