#ffxiv #concept #zenos yae galvus #adventurer zenos #lucius yae galvus #The Bright Armor #this should finally be the last iteration of this design LOL- I'm pretty happy with how it turned out #I had to steal the pvp allagan sets for the design of the actual chest #it took --too long-- for me to get it to look right #but the mighty need to make this armor look like he's a 7ft tall moving marble statue was too great #except it would also be a little terriying seeing something like that move with full articulation cause this is a stealth/agility suit #my brain really just went marble-angels-kintsugi for this design; along with there just being a lot of character psychology behind this #something about zenos remembering hearing how lucius was the light of his family and wanting to carry that forward to the future #for a man who died before his time by a man who cannot move on to the aetherial sea #carrying forward his legacy and honoring the dream of a man who purely represented hope being one of his main personal motivations #because though I usually write zenos as a primarily confident character #'lucius' helps him disconnect from the thought of his 'role' of being a monster- perhaps serving more as purpose for him instead #rather than it feeling meaningless because of how it seems as though he sees himself

went to the state fair yesterday and tried so so much good food !!! my favorite things were the pickle lemonade (literally my favorite drink ever since i first tried it a couple weeks ago) and the fried pickles and the roasted corn. feeling like a true midwesterner after that :-)

#although i will say the pickle lemonade i tried by the lake by our house was a lot better #it was punchier #the ones at the fair were watered down a bit i think just from the ice melting in the heat #but it’s just SO refreshing #genuinely something my dr would prescribe for one of my health conditions is a shot of pickle juice #so it was so rejuvenating LOL #it was rly fun !! my home state doesn’t have a state fair like THAT #but it took me back to my 4H days :#when i competed agility w my childhood dog as a kid and camped out to do some horse riding events and archery #and pigs and chickens and such #rly nostalgic haha #i only did pigs one year bc it was too sad #but i was a chicken girl through and through #4H is what started me down the dog trainer career path and sparked that interest as a hobby #i didn’t pursue it seriously until a long time later and have since taken a hiatus bc of burnout but #it did remind me why i fell so head over heels in love w it #something abt being so in tune w another creature like that is just #so special #we didn’t get to watch the stunt dogs tho we missed the show :((#i kinda want to go back again to see them perform #kinda feeling like it might reignite something in me and maybe i’ll start making steps to be a trainer again #i’ve been missing it #personal

Ananza realizing that Deacon's mom was a devoted follower of hers THEREFORE that's her son now, too! And she will dote on him and love him and never pick on him like all the other deities tend to do. That's her precious little boy who lives in another city and rarely gets to see her!

I LOVE HIM! and after deacon and ymber leave from their visit #she gets all huffy with fulj because YOU COMPLAINED ABOUT DEACON SO MUCH ??? my sweet lil angel?#and fulj just what - hey wait - did we meet the same person? sweet lil angel?#also for if you care cause i definitely do #ananza is like hmmmm since thats my son now i HAVE to give him something but .... ymber is so protective....#and then she is like OH YEAH ! ohime said deacon recognized my dance !#then she is like deacon please come dance with me i formally request a dance come here away from him please here hey #and since deacon is a nice guy hes like ok but i cant really dance well and shes just noooo worries!#and then as they dance she slowly gets him away from ymber and after they are at a decent distance she just #takes his hands in hers and then FWOOSH there's a bunch of wind and deacon is left speechless like ??? what was that?#and so then she is so proud to say that while ymber placed a very PASSIONATE blessing on him she did no such thing!#it is a simple blessing for him since hes like a son to her and hey it might not make you immune to stuff like drowning #but if you are ever in combat which i hope you arent then you will be super duper agile and quiet #and so hes like oh thats pretty cool actually! hey wait what did you mean by passionate hey what #but then the super light footsteps actually are not simply for combat and now hes just a very tall quiet guy #and since he cant remember faces if he sneaks up on someone and they say AGAIN? HOW ARE YOU SO QUIET? hes just #im sorry i didnt mean.... to.... do that.... again.............. I don't think agility class is a good option for dogs struggling heavily with reactivity - particularly if they are constantly lunging at other dogs.

That is not to say that I think dogs struggling with that level of reactivity are bad dogs. Nor do I think they should be sequestered away in their homes and never allowed to be out in the world.

Heck I'm not even of the opinion that they shouldn't learn agility. Just that private lessons would benefit the dog more than a class setting while they are working through reactivity.

Because the thing is, agility is super stimulating for most dogs, whether participating or watching. Even more so if it's an intro class where the team is learning to navigate the equipment and handling. Additionally keeping the dog from going after others is stressful for everyone involved. And I just don't see it as a kind or fair setting to be introducing something as complex, and let's be honest - potentially dangerous - as agility.

I also don't think there's any shame in realizing that an agility class may be too much for where the dog currently is in working through reactivity and taking a step back. Dog training in all its flavors isn't always linear. But I do think it's important, for the people both handler and instructor, to ensure the dog is being set up for success even if it doesn't look the way we'd hoped it would.

Much love and compassion for folks working through reactivity with their dogs. Your dog is not a bad dog. You are not a bad handler. Y'all are working through something difficult and I wish you kindness and patience in your journey.

Mr. House’s personality makes a lot of sense when you learn his Charisma STAT is a 1. His Intelligence is a 5. While his Perception, Endurance and Luck are all 10.

Especially when you consider what Dr. Usanagi says when you go to get a luck implant.
