Tommy: I'm renowned for my fake mouth static. Buck: It was not great. [laughs] Tommy: Come on. Hey! Buck: It was not convincing, but you did it anyway. Y-You threw in with us, no hesitation, and I thought, "Wow. That guy is cool. I like that guy." I mean, that's why I called an asked for the tour. You know, it wasn't about me maybe leaving the 118, Tommy. I... I just, wanted to get to know you.

(With perplexed reaction, Tommy-)

Tommy: Yeah? Buck: Yeah. And then you left with Eddie, which, listen, you don't have to tell me how great Eddie is. You know, I've known that since the first day I worked with him. Of course you want to hang out with Eddie. Plus, well, I-I don't know Muay Thai.

Tommy: I could teach you. Buck: Okay. I-Is that gonna be right after our flying lessons? Tommy: Probably not on the same day. Buck: Good. 'Cause trying to get your attention has been kind of exhausting.

(With confused, doubtful expression, Tommy-)

Tommy: My attention? Buck: Yeah, I guess so. Uh... I mean, I... I did maim my best friend. [chuckles] My sister says there are, uh, better ways to get someone's atten-

When I first watched that scene... and I first heard the words, and then he kissed Buck... my thoughts were these: 1. Oh my, Buck finally on the path of realization for Eddie. 2. WTF, did he kiss Buck just to get in with the 118 dynamics? After leaving Buck outside the restaurant, my opinion was, he has no qualms leaving him, because he still has Eddie to hang out with and has the opportunity to still be somewhat part of 118 hang outs, like what happened during the basketball game, it's not only Eddie there, Chimney and Buck arrived, it's not full house, (just so you know, I didn't watch that part, I don't know just jump scenes, I don't really like seeing Buck frown, even the gym part at the station, skipped it)

So, Tommy's still gay, and there's no force or pressure to be with Buck, so Buck asking him to be his date to his sister's wedding is an opportunity for him to be part of 118 family. As a date, you know. Being a date is better than attending as a friend.

And has he made effort for Buck during the Bachelor Party? No effort at all. I mean he did attend, but if he's really interested in Buck, like genuinely, he'll take interest to Buck's plans. Even if we say he's not there as Buck's date, ugh, too many words, I'll just say, excuses, always there's a excuses not to do anything.

If you really want it there's always a way, if you don't there's excuses.

I made observations of this before, just part of it, but i did not delve deeper about it, just talked about Buck's path.

So now I'm confessing my piece on this about Tommy stepping in Buck's path.

Tommy said it, he's SUPER jealous of the 118 family. He wanted to be part of it.

And how could he if he's someone who used to work in 118? if he's someone who knew people there? if he's someone 118 knew from before? but if he's someone who is friends with someone in the 118, he may have a foot inside the line. but then, if he's someone who's dating one member of the 118, then, he's got both shoes inside the line.

Voting yes on this only bc my friend is gay and he actually liked a woman that way but it’s not like a long lasting one (Yes, it was recent. Really recent even)

It’s more of a “Oh shit, that woman’s hot” and then “Oh shit, that’s a woman”.

For many people, especially when you are younger, your sexuality is evolving. Yes, some people just know they are what they are and will be for the rest of their lives, but for others, it comes in stages. They may start out thinking straight then move into thinking bi to saying you know what I really am gay.

Some won't even know what exactly their sexuality is because they have never met or even read about it, but one day, they see something and think you know what, maybe I've been demisexual this whole time. As I said in an early post about sexuality, one size does not fit all.

Also, something to remember is even if you are gay you aren't blind. You know when someone is attractive but that doesn't mean you want to have sex with them.

My own opinion…

Does anyone notice that these cop shows can only depict “strong female characters” only by emasculating the males? I’m rewatching Cold Case and I can’t get over how annoying Lilly is. And how her boss has parental affection for her so she literally gets away with murder while her male coworkers do not(except I guess Stillman *did* take that one fall for Scotty).

FBI is the same with Maggie. I don’t think she’s really had to face punishment for any of her spontaneous decisions that go against orders. 🙄🙄🙄

do you believe that 22 episode seasons are now "dead"?

For the most part, yeah. I do think there are a lot of factors that go into this:

1) Higher production costs leads to less episodes, especially since TV shows nowadays are pulling in A-list stars and putting out blockbuster-level effects. As someone studying entertainment law, the logistics behind making a show is so complex and costly that it’d be incredibly difficult to maintain high-level quality over a 22-episode run. So, it’s either less episodes/high quality or more episodes/less quality, and people are more likely to choose the former.

2) Because of streaming services, syndication isn’t as big of an issue. So there isn’t as much of a need for TV seasons to be 22-episodes long.

3) Much less tolerance from present day audiences for fillers/episodes that don’t progress the story. Just as an example of this, there’s a youtuber who goes by the name BasicallyIDoWrk who was doing a stream in which he showed his audience the “right” way to watch a show. His plan was to just watch the first two episodes, then skip to the end. Keep in mind, he was talking about Ahsoka, so even a 8-episode show is asking too much for people nowadays.

4) To hone in the point that “filler” episodes are no longer acceptable, remember the backlash to Eleven’s standalone episode in Stranger Things season 2. People HATED that episode and one of the chief complaints I saw was that it had nothing to do with the main storyline. And again, season 2 was only 9-episodes.

5) This is more of a personal observation of mine. I think people’s attention spans are much smaller nowadays, especially since a great deal of current entertainment is shorter and more centered on instant gratification. For example, Vine, TikTok, YouTube shorts, people focusing on hit singles rather than the whole album, and so on.

Guys, I’ve been in a One Piece mood since summer. I have watched up to the the Whole Cake Island arc with my brother.

But then I stated to rewatch the anime on my own after the live action came out. It’s the live action’s fault for making me obsessed again. I’m now on the War Summit arc.

I love all the Straw Hats so much. Usopp is probably one of my top favorites tho. Luffy, Sanji and Robin are also favorites.

As an aroace person I love that there is no relationships, but I can’t help it, and I have some ships for characters. 🫣

Some Ships:

Luffy and Hancock. Luffy is my aroace king, but I love Hancock’s love for him. He doesn’t have attraction to her and no clue, but it’s still so cute. I could see something platonic at least on his end. Maybe someday when Luffy is the King of Pirates he will go back to her. Love doesn’t have to mean sexual attraction or romance. Aroace people can have relationships with allo people too. They can still love their partners deeply. As long as the allo person is understanding. 😊 Of course Boa Hancock is just a friend to him right now and probably forever. 😂

Kaya and Usopp, of course.

Zoro and Sanji. Hear me out. I love that Sanji and Zoro fight a lot, but when Zoro was in trouble, Sanji left Nami’s side to try, and save him. Sanji is obsessed with protecting Nami, but he left her to help Zoro. 😭

Nami and Vivi. They both worried over each other more then anyone else did and it was precious.

Anyway, please don’t hate me for my own likes. You don’t have to like them or agree with them.

I love the adventure and friendships they all have more, but sometimes it’s fun to imagine something else 🫢

My take on the Solarmoon situation:

I DO like the ship.

But I see it as more of an AU than canon (unless this posts ages like bad milk if it ends up becoming canon).

And like everyone else, I DON'T condone Incest or Proshipping content of any kind.

Also, I'm getting sick of having to block people that I actually admire over one ship that caused Tumblr to have a wildfire.

Edit: I'm not gonna try and shove Solarmoon in anyone's faces if they don't like and/or care the ship. But that doesn't mean you should treat the people that do like it (in a healthy way I mean) as heathens.

Tumblr is a place for people to get their creative juices out. And starting a whole war on ONE ship isn't worth it.

Hello! No art today but have a rant that was from a convo with my gf! This is a direct Copy/paste so apologies if anything is wrong lol. Just expressing my hate for Miguel O Hara :3 This was originally gonna be me ranting about why Gwen gets hate but not Miguel but ig it's more of me hating on Miguel(sorry ig) so, rant after the cut!

I cannot express enough on how ANNOYING it is when someone talks about what Gwen did and calls it horrible but dismisses Miguels bc he's "hot".

People don't talk about how Miguel is ACTIVELY abusing Miles. Bro litterally has beef with a 15 yr old?? A 15 yr old that wants to save his dad!? And no one cares!?

Anyway, Miguel BODYSLAMMED miles into a train. Miles was litterally on the verge of crying. Miguel is actively abusing the children in spidersociety. He litterally neglects/neglected Hobie and Pavitr(somewhat??), yelled at Margo for no reason except that she "wasn't" doing her work(she was), made Gwen go home to a place where she was held at GUNPOINT by her own father(and there are multiple ppl hunting her down) and is actively trying and is hurting Miles. Yes, Miguel has his reasons. Yes, Miguel has his own trauma but it doesn't have to resort to abusing the life and happiness out of a child. Yes, he lost his child(WHICH WASN'T EVEN HIS IN THE FIRST PLACE) but that is no good excuse!! He called Miles the 'Original Anomoly' When Miguel is!? Miguel litterally took over his dead universes life and is surprised that it doesn't work? Okay.

Moral of the story, Miguel is a horrible person. But he does have somewhat good reasons(no good actions tho). Reasons being that he doesn't want the universe to collapse, which is reasonable.

As it is believed that we all play a negative role in someone's life no matter how good of people we are and there's nothing we can do about it ,so would you mind being a villain in someone's story or it doesn't really matter to you what somebody thinks of you?

I know this may sound insensitive but, I wouldn’t care if I was considered a villain in another persons story as long as it doesn’t affect my life. That’s just my thoughts on it though.

honest opinion. babymonster 's sheesh is a just flat fine-ok song, a typical yg sound but I feel disappointed w/ the rap part :( baemon have talented rappers /esp i love asa/ but their verse in this song is way so messy to my ears. like they just tried to compress it just to say there's a rap part in less 3 mins song. while the dance part wth! the girls are also amazing dancers but what happened with the choreography?! the chorus part is so off, I can't even watch it straight because I feel awkward with the steps ;; . —lastly their amazing vocals are there but the songs, even the b side don't have that wow factor.

Yg failed to use their talent in this debut.

baby monster first mini album is 5/10 for me.

One of my absolute favorite functions in Scrivener is the ability to screenshot documents, so that as you’re writing or editing, you can always look back to what you’ve written before or if regret changing a thing, you have a backup. I wish though the screenshot function was on the IOS app and not just for your computer. Something else that I love is that you can have all the research, information on the characters and the manuscript of the novel itself all within one file, but it’s sorted into all separate text documents — which is awesome! Another great function is the notes. I use it a lot to keep track of random things, or like what a certain “TKCHECK” means. Also, I love the ability to see the total word count for the draft and not just individual chapters. These are some functions I love and use to write in Scrivener. Scrivener has a bunch of other awesome functions. What is your favorite?

Hunger Games rant

This is kind of surprising me because I used to ship Everlark when I read the books years ago but upon a re-read as an adult?

I’m just wandering through the Hunger Games fandom and seriously have to say… I very very much doubt that Katniss and Peeta “would’ve happened anyway” if they were not reaped nor if the Games never existed.

Sure, he had a crush on her which is likely why he gave her the burned bread that day(something that I’m pretty sure isn’t even covered in the movies) which people seem to think makes her required to like him back. Their relationship was also a forced play for the Capitol, she had no choice. If it was “gonna happen anyway”, she would’ve been dating him already by the first book. 

As an (now)Everthorne shipper, I am a little biased but she clearly has more in common with Gale, they had known each other for years, and she even bluntly states that “he is hers and she is his” at one point. Seems straight forward to me. Gale also deserved better than what SC did to him. Yes, he helped to design those bombs but I very much doubt he knew what Coin was going to use them for nor did he know that Prim was going to be there and put in the direct line of fire. Prove me wrong. I’m also slightly irritated that Katniss holds this over his head, and while I understand given that it’s Prim, she should know him better than that. Just seemed like an easy way for Collins to get rid of him so she could pander to fans by putting Katniss with Peeta. Yes, he lied by omission but he didn’t want to hurt her. And I find it odd that she just can’t seem to get over that, while she seems to just instantly forgive Peeta for every manipulation(unintended or not) that he puts her through. 

I do find it funny that some people seriously seem to think that Gale and Katniss actually are cousins. Take the Everlark blinders off, people. You really think that Collins would create a love triangle that involved incest?

She picked Peeta in the end because he could give her stability in a post war world when she had no one, not because she loved him like that. Matches up to “she’ll pick who she can’t survive without” to me. I know people immediately interpret that as “she’ll pick who she loves” but no. If Gale meant it that way, he would’ve said it that way but he also knows the only one Katniss would and could ever truly love is Prim. Peeta does not understand this about her.

The movies just showed a “happy-ever-after Everlark” ending while ignoring that fact that Peeta is still struggling with the hijack(and poses a continuing threat to Katniss because of it) and in the books, Katniss does wonder what kind of future she also could’ve had with Gale like they were talking about before the first reaping. But she dismisses it because she imagines that he’s moved on. Her ending with Peeta comes across to me as “obligation” still. Surprisingly, lots of people seem to get this too I’ve read but most are still “romantic Everlark” anyway. 🤷‍♀️

Katniss had gone through the books pretty adamant that she didn’t want to marry or have children and yes, that was largely because she didn’t want them to have to go through the Games but it’s also been said behind the scenes that she only did these exact things in the end because Peeta wanted it. Literally along the lines of “I didn’t want children but Peeta did and kept asking until I finally caved…” just rubs me the wrong way.

I think it would’ve been a refreshing change to have ended this series the way Katniss originally wanted. Where she didn’t end up with anyone. (@zalrb here on Tumblr says this all way better than I ever could. Go visit them.)

I think people need to adjust their sights on religion. I think, like anything, you just can’t take it too seriously. There’s a great comfort in having someone or something to blame when things are bad, or to look to for reassurance, but when you can no longer look at a challenge and say “Logic, Reason, and Empathy can solve this for me,” that’s when you’ve taken it too far, and you need to ask for help. Absolutely, on my worst of days, I light a match and pray to an ancient greek goddess of magic and crossroads, and absolutely I have a deck of tarot cards, but I also laugh when they don’t make sense. Anyway, as old wisdom says: Make Your Own Gods.
