To do so would have implied that the only thing he was missing was his sexuality, and not only was that clearly never the story they were telling with him, but also I don't actually think it would be great representation to imply that figuring out your sexuality is the thing that will solve all your deep-seated self worth and abandonment issues.

i kinda hope the reason buck hasn't said he is bisexual yet is because he hasn't internalized it yet which having that exploration will be important for him (and i have seen a few other people have this thought so it's not unique to me and i don't remember who or i would tag them)

basing on my own experience, i too had a speedrun Realization like buck. granted, a girl held my hand and then promptly said i cant fight love. she was very pretty and very much not single or hitting on me in any capacity, but it did send me into a bit of a spiral for the next 2 hours to which i immediately came out to my mom as pan

but after sitting with my identity and hearing about the experiences of other people, it changed. while i didn't have a physical exploration of my identity, i did have an emotional one

i went from considering myself pan to being bi, and it also took about a year after coming to that conclusion before i even told anyone about it bc at the time it didn't seem relevant

people knew i wasn't straight, and my original label is close enough to how i feel so what was the point in telling people it had changed?

@lenaboskow had a speculation post that bucks plot in 808 is possibly feeling like a wannabe bisexual - which i can totally see!

tldr: there might be a narrative reason buck hasn't verbally labeled himself yet, so we should wait a bit and see what the rest of the season (including 8b if need) before we decide about it

Hey so fun new scam just dropped! I got a call earlier today from someone spoofing the local police department's desk number, asking me if there was a reason I'd missed my jury summons this morning.

Friends, I had not received a jury summons for this month. Which I told him, at which point his previously clear diction suddenly turned into a rapid mumble, only becoming clear for scary words like 'federal' and then asking to confirm my address, at which point I hung up and decided to call the police department later.

When I called the police department the desk officer sounded so tired y'all. All I had to say was "Hey I got a call earlier saying I missed jury duty this morning?" and she immediately sighed and told me that yes it was a scam that was going around and thanked me for calling to confirm.

So this is your periodic reminder that law enforcement agencies will not call you to tell you that you're in trouble. If you need to pay a fine of some sort they will mail you a physical invoice. Anyone calling you saying they're from the police or any other law enforcement organization (up to the CIA and yes I have heard of scammers attempting to impersonate CIA agents over the phone) who then tries to get financial information from you over the phone is a scammer.

I know I actually bang on about this a weird amount, but it is my fervent hope that the information will stick in peoples' brains if they get randomly selected for the adrenaline spike lottery. Scammers use scary words to get you to panic in order to shut down your critical thinking, and if even one person's brain spits out "Tumblr user waterhobbit said the cops/CIA/federal marshalls don't call about this shit" before their bank account routing number is in the hands of assholes I will consider it a job well done.

Evan Buckley doesn't need to sit pretty waiting for love to find him then watch it all crash because he is stuck making the same mistakes. Evan Buckley needs to wake up and go after someone because he wants to. Without them making their intentions towards him known first so he doesn't get that first rejection.
