Hope this is not too silly of a question, but I've been binging Disney Park videos the past handful of days (yes, I am embarrassingly a lifelong Disney Park fan, while also being deeply critical of the company) and I dunno, it got me thinking about what a Disney Date in the Park look like for Dom and Mor. 😅
I feel like Morgan would be a fan of the parks and be really excited about going and geeking out over everything (Morgan absolutely is Disney Princess vibes in my mind) and maybe getting a little overstimulated, while I picture Dom being utterly confused, taking certain things too seriously, but discovering something she genuinely loves and getting consumed in it. And ending the night watching the fireworks show, holding hands, and snuggling up next to each other and being adorably sapphic.
THIS IS THE CUTEST QUESTION PLEASEEE 🥹🥹🥹
in fact it was so cute you got me rambling, so under a read more it goes lmao. I basically wrote a blurb (it gets a little emotional at points cause that's who i am)
So Mor does like a couple of the Disney princesses (she really likes the background art of Sleeping Beauty and likes the movie if you watch it with the lens that "Aurora isn't the main character and neither is the prince, the three fairies are!! It's actually a heroes' journey about the three of them and that's so interesting yknow? What other movie stars three old ladies fighting a dragon???" but Aurora isn't necessarily her fav princess "I mean she just sleeps. the memes about her are funny though." Not technically a princess, but she loves Lilo a lot)
But no, she doesn't go to the parks often because of overstimulation. It's actually Dom's idea cause "Ah couples go to disneyland. That means we should go too? I should ask Morgan if she wants to go." And Mor is surprised, "I haven't been since I was 12? do you want to go???" and promptly discovers Domi has never been to a single Disney park ever in her life, so Morgan makes it her business to give Dom an enriching experience
They spend the next few months doing research between work and life-- on the best places to stay and how to optimize costs-- and it's really business-like and practical. Halfway through the process Domi's like "Is. Is this romantic? We're being so dry" but Mor insists "No it's important to be prepared!! For everything!!"
Anyway, cut to them finally going, it's probably exciting but also a little nerve-wracking. They chose the LA park. Mor did her hair up in buns to match Mickey cause teehee, cute. Dom wears a facemask cause she doesn't want to get recognized. Dom probably wants to take a lot of pictures bc. lol. couples do that?? right??? also Morgan is beautiful and she wants to remember it.
"We should do the hand holding trend"
"N-no Domi I'm too embarrassed"
"NO LET'S DO IT"
They do the hand holding trend. Mor makes it her pfp later.
Mor is constantly trying to sneak in couple selfies and it becomes a personal game to catch Dom looking candid in cute situations (spoiler, Dom's candid is still like a model. High fashion girlfriend + Donald Duck. Mor can't stop laughing)
They start having fun. They're both grumpy at the price of park food and agree not to do many of the rides because "that's an unreasonable amount of people." They try small world and are a little uncomfortable at the dolls, but being together in a little boat on the water is nice-- they end up staring at each other more than the ride and decide to check in. Dom has to lean in close so Mor can hear her over her sound-supressing earbuds. Morgan takes the chance to kiss her and Dom completely forgets what she was saying
After lunch, Mor surprises Dom with Mickey Ears because she HAS to see it. It's as adorable and hilarious as she thought it would be, and when Domi laughs, Mor finds herself thinking about how lonely Dom was as a kid and wonders if she's helping her heal her inner child, bc Dom has helped Mor heal hers. Dom wears it for the rest of the trip and every time she smiles at her, Morgan wants to laugh and cry at the same time.
They surrender and buy $5 churros to eat as they ride the ferry and realize halfway through they keep getting on the boats. Mor is shy but eventually caves and takes a picture with Tiana.
They visit the Disney Gallery to learn about some of the history. Mor already knows a lot of it and ends up filling in some of the gaps to Domi. The awkwardness has completely melted away at this point and Domi is trying to find an artbook or poster she thinks Mor would like. She sees Mor looking at mugs and wonders if she's happy, wonders if she's stopped thinking about all her exes, wonders how anyone could hurt someone has kind as Morgan.
They decide to find a spot for the parade early and talk as the sun sets. The parade starts and Dom holds Mor close so the crowd doesn't make her anxious. She finds herself watching Morgan more than the parade.
As the fireworks start, Dom tells her about a memory of when she was 19. She was staying in Tokyo for a job and watched fireworks alone in her hotel room and wondered if she had made the right career choice. Mor watches the lights dance on Dom's profile and can barely get a whisper out, so she squeezes her hand instead. Dom smiles at her so warmly that Morgan almost feels whiplash
Mor lays her head on Domi's shoulder in the hotel bed and can't get the story out of her mind. Dom's soft breathing doesn't lull her to sleep like it usually does. They were too tired to make love but she desperately wants Dom to know how much she means to her. She settles for crying into her neck quietly and it's a strange mix of exhaustion and sadness and relief and joy. Morgan makes a silent promise to never let Dom be alone again
When they're packing for home in the morning, Dom wonders out loud if they'll come again. Mor asks if Dom had fun, and she smiles so wide that it washes away all the lingering melancholy. Mor promises she'll take Dom whereever she wants to go, whenever she wants to

I created this blog because a recurring theme of my life lately has been to recover things I lost growing up (hence the title), because I feel the most acute pain thinking about the genuine joy I had for things when I was young, that then got crushed because of bullying, cultural elitism, outside judgements, and the general idea that I should be "grown up". So I'm actively trying to regain those things, by reading fantasy books, painting imaginary characters, sewing my own clothes, doing crafty things, and role playing. Larping especially is becoming really important to me, because I can heal my inner child by enabling myself to play pretend without feeling silly or uncool. My first experience was not a big high production one like Vilegis, but just a couple of friends with medieval dresses and foam daggers hanging in a field. I played a herborist and I got to crush flowers and add crystals and pretend to make amazing potions and I felt so warm and comfortable inside, I teared up as soon as I noticed it, because it was so profoundly meaningful to me. I hadn't allowed myself to be silly for a long time, I felt my father's and my teacher's and my classmates and people online and my painting teacher voices making me small for too long. Now I decided to listen to little Bianca, that liked to play pretend and read about dragons. And I'm finding a bit of peace.

Changing of the guard: Aiace and Prometeo in Lunaria
A very poetic scene I saw while LARPing at Battle for Vilegis (Italy)
I didn’t expect to find so much fun and genuine emotion and actual magic in LARP. I mean, I knew I would like it, but I never expected to LOVE it this much. Fighting a battle in pitch black, except for the fires of a ritual circle, surrounded by your comrades risking their life and struggling with their every breath, and then celebrating with cold beers and the bard singing of your family’s eroic acts and silly shenanigans while everybody cheers, and greet the dawn without even noticing how time fled… it has been one of the best experiences of my entire life.

Chapter 4: Purpose
warnings: anatomy/talk of sex
Myrena was expecting an earth shattering roar to wake her, buried under the collapsed mountain. She was happily surprised to find herself awoken in bed by the sound of birds. She stared up into the abyss, listening to their twitters and tapping beaks. Myrena had no way to tell what time of day it was from deep within a mountain. After a while, she forced herself out of bed and dragged her feet to the giant basin of water. The water was unforgivingly cold on her face, but she needed that to wake up. Myrena left the room after washing up, ready to start her day.
This round, she took her time to look around her surroundings. They were underground; the ceiling probably reaching beyond the skies if she had to guess. It was perhaps a kingdom of some race back in its day. A hundred chambers lined this way and that; ruins of stairs going all the way up and all the way down. This place was a shadow of its former glory, she'd guess. Of course, with a dragon living in it now, nothing else could. Speaking of, Myrena wondered where her host had gone to.
She picked a random room of choice, and to her joy found a great big window. Myrena ran to it and stepped out on the terrace. Oh was the morning breeze a blessing! Having closed her eyes to enjoy the cool, she opened them again to look out. In front of her was a clearing, beyond which began the forest. To its left was a lake. Myrena felt as if she were a child again. Gathering her inner strength in a deep breath, she ran and leapt to the terrace next door.
Her landing was successful, but her wounds from yesterday punished her. Ignoring the stings, Myrna continued running and leaping till the lake was front and center. She closed her eyes again, feeling the wind blow the water gently in her face. Suddenly, the air froze and her eyes snapped open, danger looming. Myrena leaned over the railing, watching the water rumble. Then without warning, a red flash leapt out of the lake, showering her with lake water. It would have been more fun if fish weren't part of that experience.
"You're awake!" She was sure the voice boomed across the world.
"What are you doing?'' she screamed up at Smaug.
"Going. For. A dip." He answered as he twirled higher up, showering her more.
Myrena laughed and waved him off, going back in to change her clothes.
There was a pile of clothes in another part of her room. Myrena didn't dare think where the dragon could have picked them up from. As she began to take off her soaking dress, the cloth weighed heavy on her shoulders, causing her body to ache. She grunted as she used her strength to push the sleeve down her shoulder, the wound on her oblique stinging painfully.
"Need a hand?"
Myrena yelped as she turned to face Smaug standing in the doorway, hands clasped behind his back, wearing his red coat and black leather pants again. The only sign that he'd been in the water was the curly hair on his head, sticking to his forehead.
"Um, I know this is your home, but can't a girl have some privacy?" Myrena was half serious as she covered her chest.
Smaug laughed a throaty laugh that went up the caverns of the room.
"And who, may I ask, bound you in the first place?" He curiously pointed at her with a knuckle.
Myrena looked down herself. Her wounds had been patched and wrapped, and the dress on her shoulders was not her own. Her cheeks stung with shame.
"You've... seen me. Naked."
"Ah, only to necessity. You seem to forget I am not man, your human hesitations do not apply to me."
"Right. Well then, Mr. Dragon. I've soaked through my dress and bandages thanks to you. So if you wouldn't mind?"
She teased him and stood up to stand toe to toe with him, suggesting he undo the strings on her torso. Smaug smirked and grabbed the top of her dress, and in one go, ripped it straight down the middle. She instinctively moved her arms to cover her chest and groin, but found it silly. Her breast wrappings from days ago was still bound tightly around her chest, and her underwear was also still on, though both were threatening to fall from the weight of the water. For a dragon, Smaug was pretty chivalrous.
"I need to take them off." Myrena simply told him and turned away, back towards the bed.
The end of the wrap was tucked into the binding just below her left armpit. But her right shoulder killed her as she reached to the other side to peel it off. It took the breath out of her just the first unwrapping, and she rested after it.
"Need a hand?" Smaug asked again as he came behind her.
"No! Don't rip it! I don't assume you've got more under wraps?"
"Never needed them."
Myrena laughed.
"Great. I'll just..." she reached for it again, now hanging below her right arm, straining as she did. Smaug huffed and grabbed it instead, unwrapping it all the way.
"Darn." Myrena exhaled instead of thanking him. "The bandages."
"I've done it before," Smaug offered.
"Thank you. But I had my wrap on then. Now I don't..." she squealed before she could finish. Smaug had grown tired and, turning her around, lifted her in his arms and placed her on the bed.
"For the last time, and you remember it well, now. I am a dragon. I don't care for your human trivialities. Either you can shut up and let me do you, which isn't something I do for anyone else, or you can suffer in your pain and help yourself!" Smaug told her all in one breath, and Myrena watched him, too stunned to speak.
"I'll take your silence for your consent. Now, I'll warn you. It may sting a little."
That was his only warning as he began to redo her bandages. She hissed when he dabbed the healing potions on her wounds, but never complained.
"Thank you," Myrena said when he was almost done.
Smaug half smiled. "I was beginning to think you were the ungrateful kind. It takes you a minute to appreciate." He stepped back when his work was done.
Myrena stood up to put on the dress, thankful that this one didn't have strings. It did have buttons on the back of the collar, which she could no doubt ask Smaug to do for her. Smaug's kindness had reached its cap and he let her get the dress on herself. It took her longer than usual, but eventually she got it on. As she was dressing, Myrena noticed Smaug play with a bird. The little thing flittered around his head then came to sit on his offered finger.
"You don't eat birds?"
"Eat birds?" He turned her way. "Why would I eat birds? Do you think a bird would satisfy me?"
Myrena suddenly remembered the night she'd seen his dragon form. He'd eaten all her assailants, and her horse too.
"You'd have to eat a whole forest."
"Eh, I wouldn't. Birds clean my teeth for me, eating the stuff stuck in between. Kind of a co dependent relationship."
"Interesting. Speaking of eating..." she looked guiltily at him.
"Right. Any interest in fish?" He lead her out of the room.
Myrena laughed, realizing he meant the ones that he'd 'given' her in the morning.
"As long as it's cooked." She followed him into the terrace room.
The terrace was still wet, with a heap of fish lying about. The room had a furnace as well, on which she could cook her breakfast. Myrena collected the better looking fish and brought them into the room. She cut off their heads with the blade she'd brought with her, and fixed them on to the spit.
"Can you, light the fire?" She curiously asked him, wondering if he'd have to turn into his full form.
Thankfully, he didn't. Smaug went up to the furnace and crouched next to it. Then he took in a big breath and blew, hot streams of fire coming up from his throat and lighting the coal. Myrena sat opposite him, turning the spit.
"Does that not burn you? In your human form?"
"Not really. It feels like it always does. A tickle in the back of the throat."
As he went on describing it, Myrena got up and brought more fish from the terrace, replacing the cooked ones with some of the raw.
"You said I'm the only one you've ever helped."
"Hmm?"
"Back in the room, you said I was the only person you were ever going to help. What makes me so special?"
Smaug mused. "I've been stalking your legend, ghost bride. The night you first saw me was not the first time I'd seen you."
"And you decided I was helpless?" She playfully suggested while popping a piece of fish in her mouth.
Smaug laughed. "No, you're quite the opposite really. I decided..." he paused for effect, "that you would be my mate."
Her eyes grew ten fold. "I... Because I look like a dragon?"
"Metaphorically. You've got dragon traits; the solitude, the strength, the determination." Smaug had golfed down his second raw fish.
"When you say mate. I assume, would include... the act..." Myrena blushed.
"Yes." Smaug stated matter of factly.
"In your human form of course?" There was no possible other way.
"Initially." He stated.
"Initially?!" She choked. "You think you'd fit?" Her legs reflexively closed.
"Hah! Mortal, I have talons longer than your arms."
The red of her cheeks reached the tip of her ears.
"Oh! We can't be possible! I'm afraid just thinking about it!"
"Lovely! You're just worried about the length. The barbs would be no trouble for you, yes?"
"B-barbs? There are... barbs?! They'll cut!"
"They serve their purpose. When we mate for the first time, the barbs will surely cut you, but that'll allow my seed to get into your blood." He ate. "As my mate, you'll need to be changed, my chemicals would have to bind with yours, change your chemistry. Make you turn."
His mouth made a clicking sound, releasing his fangs which startled Myrena.
"My fangs will release a venom in your blood..."
"But venom kills."
"Yes. But with my seed running in your blood as well, the two will work to match your chemistry to mine."
"What if I object?"
"You don't have the choice. It'll be easier for you to accept your fate."
"So what?" Myrena stormed up, and Smaug followed suit. "You'll force me to marry you? Subject me to you? Like, like him?"
Smaug growled and roughly pinned her next to the fireplace.
"iiigh am not like other men! You have no master except Smaug!" He bellowed, but calmed for the next part of his dialogue, though the anger was still there. "I will only force you to be my mate, and the sire bond that will be between us. But beyond that, you'll go about as you always have: with your free will."
Angry as he was, no one had ever offered her the life this dragon currently was. It may have been his mating instinct talking, but she'd trade her whole town for this dragon.
"What if, I don't know?" She meekly asked.
"Don't know what?"
"How to... how to mate."
Smaug laughed a deep laugh.
"You don't know how to mate?"
"Well I get the basic sense of it, but I don't know all the rituals."
"We dragons just, get it in, let it out and done." He finally let go and walked back to his seat.
Myrena laughed. "Well that's very banal! I hope that's not how humans do it."
"Your mother never taught you?"
Myrena stalled in her step, then took her seat before answering.
"My mother died before I was of age."
"I'm... sorry." Smaug said mutely. "I picked up the sentiment from watching mortals for quite some time." He explained when she gave him a puzzled look. "Who else is in your pride?"
"My family? Well, I'm the oldest of three. There's Beorn after me, then Feomer. The both of them took after our father, greedy and evil and insults to our race! But then there was Quince. Oh, little Quincy! He was born... different. The other two didn't accept him, neither did our father. But mother and I loved him. He was all I had after mother died. I took him to the monks before my wedding."
"Wedding." Smaug stated the word, but his heart burned with the thought. "You married?" He got off his seat, heading for the door.
Myrena suddenly remembered back two minutes ago when he'd proclaimed her as his mate. She felt bad for him, for the two of them, and followed after.
"Only the ceremony. We never consummated."
"I suppose you need more of your clothes." Smaug changed the topic. "There's a town by the foot of the mountain on the other side. You're welcome to visit it if you like." He told her and turned away towards his treasury.
"I will. Thanks for letting me know." Myrena called after him, letting him go in peace.

Dragons!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I already showed you these, but I’m curious what the boys would think of them! - (Submitted by @glitchy-mc-glitch-face ) - For a while, Henry inspected the page, his expression calm, unimpressed. “… well, that is a nice drawing.” Oh god, he loves it. “… it is acceptable.” He’s over the moon, his inner child is screaming. “If I had an inner child, I would have stuffed it into Fredbear long ago.” And maybe you did, BUT I CAN STILL HEAR IT SQUEAL IN DELIGHT! Finally there was a crack in his expression and he turned away, rubbing his face. “It is a NICE drawing and I appreciate it. The added detail of the taser, as well as the position, together with the pleasing design of shades of pink and gold that is a nice connection to the habit of dragons to hoard gold, implying that my draconic version has gone a step further and actually used it to create a kind of light armor for itself. I feel like this is an important detail that helps show off my character even in the design itself.” … still no scars, seems you heal just as fast as a dragon. I bet you are just as salty about it in that dimension. Ignoring these accusations elegantly, Henry pointed again. “The claws are black, which implies my horns and the marks on my back WOULD be black too if I did not improve them to be of more use to me. I wonder if I am capable of sending shocks over my back, to prevent anyone attacking from above.” He stared at the picture for longer. Oh. Oh no, Henry, don’t. “… gold is actually very conductive to electricity, I wonder if I could rebuild-“ NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO- “Oh, HUSH, if I build it, nobody will know anyhow. I am bored, a golden, charged armor would be exactly the kind of mindless, silly project that would keep me patient and busy.” Pleased he put the drawing on the wall, in a place it was easy to be seen. Seemed to already be one of his favorites. Which totally doesn’t have to do with him being a dragon in it. LISTEN. YOU GUYS. THIS MIGHT LOOK LIKE FUN AND GAMES, BUT NEXT TIME HERNY LEAVES THE VOID HE MIGHT BE FULLY AMOURED UP WITH A FANTASY WEAPON OF SOME SORT, WE ALL NEED TO STOP GIVING HIM IDEAS, I’M BEGGING. - Old Sport screeched, very happy. “DAVE, DAVE, LOOK AT US! WE’RE LOOKING GREAT! I’M A DRAGON. THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT I WANT TO BE. A DRAGON!” “AND I’M A DRAGONBORN! I BET’CHA!” “Might be, but what concerns me more is how you became a knight. Who the hell would want YOU to represent their law and order?” Dave snorted. “Yeah, imagine Sportsy. Next thing ya know, they’re gonna make me a GUARD. Ya know? WHO’D DO THAT? Nobody, surely.” “Royal Dragon Guard. RDG. I probably ate the king and thus the kingdom now belongs to me.” “Oh shit, but then where’s your crown, Sportsy?” Old Sport paused, scratching his chin. “Damn, you’re right.” “Consider, the Phoney-Kingdom was tryin’ to sacrifice me to ya and I chose to just have a seat and make ya snicker. You soon realized I’m waaaaaaay too loveable to kill!” “You can SAY that, but will it make that true?” “You tell me!” Playfully Dave nudged his friend with his shoulder. Old Sport picked up the drawing and grinned. “But seriously. Glitchy. Why are my eyes dark. Where’s my soul, Glitchy. My soulgem. Did Henry eat it?” Leaning over the figure, he insisted. “Glitchy, please, I’m concerned, where is my gem, what did they do to my gem-“ “Gem?” Confused Dave asked, but Old Sport waved him off. “Oh, don’t worry about it. I have PREMIUM BEHIND-THE-SCENES information. I have knowledge you could only DREAM about-“ “But not enough knowledge to actually know the answers to the questions, eh?” For a moment it was quiet, then Old Sport proceeded to jump Dave in an attempt to murder him and his BIGBRAIN™ observation. How dare. Needless to say, they love it AND SO DO I. DRAGON AU IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES AND NOBODY WILL EVER CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE. ESPECIALLY WITH THE AMAZING MECHANICS AND WORLD-BUILDING YOU MADE FOR IT. One day you will make a webcomic for it and I will DIE for it. It’s just fate. EITHER WAY, THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR SENDING IT IN, I’M SO HAPPY TO HAVE IT ON MY BLOG NOW, BECAUSE I WANT PEOPLE TO SEE HOW GODDAMN GREAT THIS IS! I APPRECIATE THE HELL OUT OF YOU! HAVE AN AMAZING DAY, I HOPE EVERYTHING IS GOING GREAT ON YOUR BLOG!

A Simple Request 8/?
Pairing: Jongyu
Rating: pg-13
w/c: 2.8k
Other Parts can be found a little ways down this [x]   Ao3  AFF
Summary: The Fae King is under a lot of pressure to conceive an heir, while given a deadline by the Council he turns to his personal guard and best friend to help him with it
Warnings: Future mpreg
When Jinki came to, his head was pounding terribly and his cheek was squished against the pillow under him. It took him a moment to realize he was laying face first on some sort of bed and even longer to remember what had happened. Goblins. The High Governor's daughter and the back wound. He groaned as he pushed off the bed, hissing through his teeth as pain ripped through his back with the movement, but he didn’t stop until he could look around the room. He recognized it as his room given to him when he arrived at the Dwarven capital. But then the pain got too much to handle and he lowered himself gently. “I was wondering when you’d come to.”
He knew that voice, very well even, but it wasn’t until he shifted his head left, right cheek squished against the pillow instead, that he made the connection. “What are you… doing here?”
“Investigating the claims the Dwarves are trespassing and mining illegally in mines that are not theirs to do so.” The young elf grinned, ears wiggling a little in their excitement. “I’d have thought his Majesty would have informed you who he assigned to this undercover mission.”
“Mind on… other things.” Jinki swallowed thickly, mouth dry and sticky as he squinted in the bright artificial light of the room.
“I sent a message to him yesterday morning when you didn’t yet wake.” They grinned, sharper canines shining slightly, “I hope you don’t mind me forging your hand.”
“Asshole,” Jinki muttered, eyes closing as he focused on trying to heal his wound more.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you.”
         “Why?”
“Goblin’s lace their weapons with poison. The Keeper should remember such a simple thing, silly.” They softly giggled, foot jigging as it rested on their knee. “Saferus took me to get the stupid flower the dwarves needed for the antidote, but you can’t seal the wound yet.”
         “How long?” Jinki softly croaked.
“A few more hours at least. Tomorrow morning at the latest.” They pushed off the small chair they had been lounging in to move the hair that had fallen in Jinki’s face behind his ear. They offered water with a metal straw, careful not to spill it all over the place. Once Jinki swallowed enough, the glass was put back on the table. “Try to relax. Your King is safe and you’ll live another day to be lectured by that big lizard of yours. I’ll be back in a few hours.”
“Still an asshole.” But then he relaxed, tension leaving his muscles as he flashed a small smile. “But thank you Taemin.”
“I wish the first time I saw you after a decade was something other than you bleeding face first in some dark tunnel.” Taemin scrunches their nose slightly. “You stained my boots.”
         “Sorry.”
         “No, you aren’t.”
         “Correct.”
Taemin huffed and turned on their heel, storming out in their usual dramatic fashion.
Once the door clicked closed, Jinki took a deep breath before allowing his mind to drift out, searching for his dragon. ‘Saferus?”
‘I was wondering when you would come to, Little one.’
         ‘My head hurts.’
         ‘Only your head?’
         ‘All of you are assholes.’
He could see where Saferus was, curled up by lake Mierah, tail swishing across the crystal clear surface making it ripple softly. The sun was beating down on his scales as he half slept. ‘You are the one who keeps getting into trouble. In a place too small for me to save you as per usual.’
‘Saved the girl. That’s what matters.’
‘Just get better Little One. I sense a storm brewing for your return.’
----
In the morning, Jinki still felt the poison being pulled from his body. He couldn’t stay here any longer. What he was required for here was complete and as long as he could get onto Saferus, the straps on the saddle should allow him to make it back to Faera safely. Leaving Jonghyun was never something he enjoyed doing. There were few people he trusted with protecting the King. His duty as Keeper first and foremost was as a healer to the people of the United Kingdoms, but while he did his duty, the quicker he could get back to Jonghyun’s side the better.
He had slowly put on his boots, pausing every few moments to let the pain subside. A lovely healer had come in to give him completely new bandages just before. A simple shirt was loose on his frame to allow breathing room for the wound. A small six by six-inch cube was sitting on the narrow table along the opposite wall where he had placed it before he had gone to the baths the night of the abduction attempt. Within the swirling colored box was his armor. The cube’s mechanism was incredibly useful when wearing the full armor could be seen as aggressive, but also allowed him to carry heavy equipment far easier than without.
Clenching his teeth, he stood, wavering slightly on his feet. He used his sword as a cane of sorts, taking a deep breath before tossing the cube into his sack and heading toward the door. He was halfway down the hall when he sensed Taemin slip out of the shadow realm. “And what do you think you’re doing?”
“I need to return home. I’m no longer needed here and I can recover in the safety of the Temple just as well I can here.”
“You shouldn’t be up on your feet.”
Jinki stopped to look over at them with a raised eyebrow. “Is that you offering to carry me?”
Taemin pressed their lips together in a thin line, “No, but if you are determined to return to Faera, I’ll accompany you.”
The soft sounds of Jinki’s sword hitting the stone beneath them was almost calmly. “I don’t recall offering you transportation.”
“I’ll just ask Saferus. He likes me more.” They were grinning, footsteps light as if bouncing on air. Taemin shrugged then as they continued. “I really do not want to take public transit.”
“One, doubt it.” Jinki smiled as a few children gasped as they walked by, even running his hand over one’s hair as they followed beside him. “Two, a dragon beats underground trains always.”
-----
Taemin had disappeared as soon as Saferus had landed and they were sure Jinki was sound on his feet. Where the shadow elf ran off to could only mean mischief, but they weren’t hurting anyone at the moment so Jinki couldn’t find himself caring about it. A bath had been drawn for him after his wound was healed, oils and tonics dripped into the steaming water to help the aftereffects of the poison. He waited until the distant door clicked closed before dropping his robe and slipping into the water, resting his head on the folded towel.
There were candles softly floating a safe distance away from the fabric hanging from the ceiling, giving the room a warm glow. It reminded Jinki of the flower field behind the beach house he used to visit as a child before Wixu came. The salt from the sea air blowing over and the soft floral scent of wildflowers. The peace and quiet were interrupted when he softly heard Saferus in his mind. ‘You have a visitor.’
Before Jinki could say that the door was locked and therefore that was impossible, coming into the room was Jonghyun, fluttering a few inches off the ground. He flashed a little smile. “May I come in?”
         “Of course.”
Jonghyun’s wings began to disappear in the form of his tattoos as his feet landed gracefully against the ground. “I won’t stay long if you wish to rest. I just wanted to see you were alright for myself.”
“You can stay as long as you like.” Jinki ran his fingers over the surface of the cloudy water. “As you can see, I am swell.”
“It seems you’re soaking like a prune.” Jonghyun gave a little smile before his outer tunic was dropped on the ground and his boots were pulled off. He pointed to the ground just behind Jinki’s head. “May I?”
-----
“I suppose.” Carefully Jonghyun sat behind him, one leg in the water and the other bent in to bring Jinki’s hair into his lap. Jinki relaxed back against his towel after all of his hair was gathered. “Nothing of consequence happened here while I was gone?”
“Other than my councilors being too much of a coward to come and speak to me in person, nothing worth noting.” Jonghyun’s fingers moved softly, scratching against Jinki’s scalp with each pass. “You never should have given me that vial.”
Slowly Jinki pushed his head back to look up at him, “And why not?”
“You could have healed yourself with it.”
“I couldn’t just leave you on the mend like that without something to use in case of an emergency. Besides,” He grinned, “I’m fine. I could focus my duty a lot better without worrying about you.”
Jonghyun softly placed his hands on both temples, fingers pressing slightly as he gave a gentle grin. “You sound incredibly attached Mr. Keeper.”
“Possibly.” Jinki’s eyes fluttered closed, hands resting on his tummy under the water, as he let the other man continue massaging his temples and scalp. “But that’s not a terrible thing to be.”
         “I suppose not.”
“How did you get in here? The front door is locked.”
“Oh. Your dragon let me in.”
Jinki’s eyes snapped open and quickly found the other’s gaze. “What does that mean?”
“I came in through his door. The big one.”
“I sure hope it’s big.” Jinki was silent for a moment and Jonghyun realized he was talking to Saferus. Then he was laughing, “Apparently he thought you’d be good medicine for me.”
         “Is that so?”
“Mhmm. He said,” Jinki scowled slightly, deepening his voice as he imitated Saferus. “Human companionship is apparently good for healing.”
         “And what do you think?”
“Hmm? Do I agree?” A smile slowly spread on Jinki’s face, “It’s not often Saferus is wrong.”
“I’m glad to be of service.”
“Then please go back to the finger thing, please.” Jinki chirped, eyes closing once again as he got comfy.
“So demanding.” Jonghyun scuffed, even as he continued doing as the man ordered.  "Mind telling me what really happened? No one seems to know the entire story."
"I found that someone in the most inner circle of the High Governor had been poisoning him with lead-laced food. I made sure the investigation was started before handing it over. It wasn't my place to figure it out unless another kingdom was involved." Jinki's fingers tapped gently against his tummy, sending little ripples across the surface of the water. "I was on the way back from their baths when I overheard Goblins trying to abduct the High Governors daughter. Apparently, their leader wanted to marry her. The Lookout got a hit on me when I was helping her with the binds."
"It's not often you're taken by surprise. How pretty was she?"
Jinki's eyes snapped open to find Jonghyun's soft gaze. "What does that have to do with being taken by surprise?"
"Prettier things are more likely to take one's attention, Silly."
"She wasn't my type." Jinki wiggled a little to get comfy again, closing his eyes once he settled. His voice was almost muffled with how quiet he was speaking. "Besides, if pretty things distracted me I would never be able to do my duty around you, Jonghyun."
Jonghyun’s breathing hitched, a little puff of air leaving his lips as Jinki’s hair changed in his hands. Purple and pink swirled together almost, reminding Jonghyun of a summer sunset. There was a warmth in Jonghyun’s chest as he played with Jinki’s hair, a tingle to his fingers as if his hand had fallen asleep recently, and it felt like his heartbeat was slightly elevated. The first thought he had was that he was coming down with something, but he figured if it turned out to be bad enough Jinki would catch it soon.
Instead, Jonghyun thought about how much Jinki trusted him. It wasn’t very often that the man allowed himself to be completely relaxed and not on guard. He knew from experience that if attention was brought to Jinki’s hair changing, more often than not the man realized his emotions were shown and quickly controlled it back to black. Jinki had to feel completely comfortable to do as he was. Jonghyun fondly smiled as Jinki sank a little more into the water, his chin covered with the liquid. “You seem cozy.”
“I am.” Jinki chuckled. He looked up with a little grin. “If you’re too cold, you could always join me. There’s more than enough room.”
Jonghyun raised his brow. “Are you seducing me?”
Jinki’s gaze followed him as he rose and walked around the bath. Jonghyun was sitting on the edge to the man’s left when Jinki spoke again. “Did you want me to?”
“Not in your current condition.” Jonghyun wiggled his pants off his leg and tossed it behind him near his jacket and prior taken off shirt. Once completely nude, he slipped into the water, sighing as he settled all the way. Jinki had sat up, back against the edge of the bath, one leg brought up with his knee out of the water.
“My current condition, huh?”  Jinki had his arms up on the edge of the bath, looking too attractive for his own good Jonghyun deemed. Especially with that grin of his. “You wanted to get to it as soon as possible when you were in no position to do so, need I remind you.”
“You stopped us then. Perhaps it’s my turn to do so now.”
“There’s a major difference between then and now.” Jinki pushed off the edge of the bath, moving slowly through the bath before taking Jonghyun’s jaw into his hands. He dipped his head as his left hand fell to kiss along the fairy’s neck, before whispering. “I am just tired. You were unwell. Let me please you.”
Jonghyun bit his bottom lip, trying to fight how much he wanted to give in, but in the end, Jinki skimmed his teeth over his collarbone. The cheater. “Fine, but you must take it easy.”
“Of course,” Jinki’s breath was hot against Jonghyun’s neck, voice dropping deeper, “Your Majesty.”
Something about the tone made Jonghyun moan, soft and breathy against Jinki’s ear. Maybe it was the length of time in which they had been trying for a baby, sharing this part of themselves, but Jonghyun was sure Jinki never had such an effect on him before. He wasn’t sure if he liked it, but everything was murky and felt too good to work through his thoughts on the subject.
-----
Jonghyun gazed over under the towel he was using to dry his hair as Jinki slowly slid on a pair of loose cotton pants. The elf’s movements were almost lethargic in nature, but he didn’t seem to be in any pain. Once Jinki was sitting on the mattress, Jonghyun lowered his arms with a quiet, “I suppose I should head back.”
“You don’t have to.” Jinki’s fingers stop braiding his hair over his shoulder to flash a smile. “It’s pretty late and you going back now would sound more alarms than appease any.”
        “If you’re sure.”
“Take those ridiculous boots off and c’mere.” The plait was tossed over Jinki shoulder as he shifted up to the pillows, wiggling his legs under the blanket. “What with the hands on the hips?”
        “My boots are not ridiculous.”
Jinki raised his eyebrows, “They have sparkling heels.”
“Don’t pick on my fairy dust.” Jonghyun climbed over Jinki’s feet to fall into the pillow beside him. He stuck his tongue out, before grinning. “Or, I’ll make you wake up with everything on the ceiling.”
Jonghyun knew the man had rolled his eyes, but the smile on Jinki’s lips was one of good-natured teasing, “As long as I’m still warm.”
Even though Jinki wasn’t looking at him, Jonghyun stared at the top of the canopy bed. “If you’re worried about being cold, we could cuddle.”
A moment ticked by. Then another before Jinki’s tired voice gently beckoned. “C’mere.” When Jonghyun slowly turned his head to look at the man, Jinki was gazing at him with what the fairy could only describe as fondness. “I won’t bite.”
“You seem to like to thought.” Jinki’s bare skin was soft and warm as he moved across the distance between them and rested his head on the man’s arm.
“I’d stop, but you enjoy it too much.” In the end, Jinki had his other arm thrown over Jonghyun in the curve of his waist, lips pressed against his forehead softly, and each time he breathes through his nose a bit of hair fluttered in front of it.

THE REYLO FANFICTION ANTHOLOGY ST. VALENTINE’S DAY LOVE FEST
This year, to celebrate St. Valentine’s Day, we wanted to show the Reylo Writing Community a little bit of love by hosting a Reylo Fanfiction St. Valentine’s Day Love Fest.
We will accept recommendations for this project until the end of February.  You can find details about how to submit a recommendation to the project here.
LOVE FEST LIST #5/?
REYLO COMMUNITY RECOMMENDATIONS
Starlight, Your Memories by NatMatryoshka
Summary: "Ben Solo was ten years old when, in the outskirts of the capital, a little girl was born. Her parents called her Rey and, after she was old enough to walk, they left her in the care of Master Luke Skywalker and vanished without a trace soon after. No one knew who they were, or why they chose an odd hermit as guardian of their only daughter, but many could smell the scent of cheap wine in the father’s breath: they were two derelicts, and maybe they had realized in time they couldn’t do anything good for their daughter. Rey was a Sensitive, just like Ben. The Force had entwined their lives a long time before."
Recommendation by @the-witch-of-the-web: “Because it has a wonderful fairytale vibe to it, and the author is great at portraying the inner turmoil and subtle feelings of the main characters. The style is great, considering they're not a native English speaker, and I'd really love to see more recognition for their stories. This one in particular offers a unique and amazing storyline, I also love the way they describe the locations in which the story takes place.”
Tokens by Trish47
Summary: A year after Leia's death, Rey invites Ben to Endor to make his peace.
Recommendation by @ceallaigheirinn: “This is truly a beautiful piece in its quiet agony wrapped in comfort. The detente was perfect with its shared promise to each other as they part. I am a sucker for remembrance fics, and this one is perfect.”
I don't want (to set the world on fire) by OccasionallyCreative
Summary: Rey goes on a mission to answer a distress signal on a Force-sensitive alien planet and finds something that might just save her if it doesn't lead to her ruin.
Recommendation by @apisa-b: “This canonverse story pulls the reader into a fever dream, in which the Force is kind, but at the same time monstrous in how it imposes its will.”
Nothing but Themselves by Knight_of_Cookies
Summary: Sometimes what you ask for is not what you actually wanted. Rey wanted a family. Kylo wanted Rey. Now an adopted father is dead and Kylo is captured for it. Kylo is Rey's prisoner, and her family does not take such a death lightly. Vengrat'tua. There will be vengeance. Pirunir Sur'haaise. Make him pay for what he did.
Recommendation by @persimonne: “The writing is something very different, direct and "cinematic": while reading images pop directly into your brain and they're so vivid! The plot features prisoner!Kylo vs Rey living with a brand new adoptive family and working as a mechanic.”
echoes (again) by reflectionslie (fallsink)
Summary: again and again, she slips from his grasp like moonlight (reincarnation au where ben seeks her through their past lives and maybe, just maybe this time this time will be the last) [prev name: it goes round and round (everything falling)]
Recommendation by @politicalmamaduck: “It is so beautifully written and such a gorgeous take on the idea of soulmates and reincarnation, so perfectly suited to Reylo. If you loved the art Anthology's 25 Lives Project, this is definitely the fic for you--it takes the same poem as its inspiration and theme!”
The Tale of Blue Ben by flypaper_brain
Summary: Some escaped goats and a chance encounter land Rey in the middle of a fairy tale. She is the happy ending. And she is not alone.
Recommendation by @leofgyth: “Ben is a dragon! He's heartbreakingly wonderful. And Rey is a witch, a competent witch. And there are goats. And a spell to break (maybe more than one spell). It's just very sweet.”
RFFA WRITERS SELF RECOMMENDATIONS
The Water Packed my Pockets Full of Stones by LilibethSonar
Summary: When Finn turned the car she saw Ben in the rearview mirror. Standing by the house, unmoving as if he wasn’t… alive. She didn’t cry on their way back to the bay: lichens and rocks outside her window were really picturesque, that’s all. When Rey saw the ocean again, her emotions ebbed. The sight of the Marauder calmed her completely, taking away her uncertainty. The truth was bitter; he brought it on himself.
“It's the first long-ish fic in English that I've written and finished. I had so much fun writing it, and I hope that reading it can bring someone joy. Also, worldbuilding.”
In Un'Altra Vita by NatMatryoshka
Summary: "Sometimes, after hundreds of failures you finally get something precious, don’t you believe it?” Rey, a reporter, falls in love with Venezia and its Carnival. Ben Solo, a photographer, starts to dream about a mysterious boy and a world he doesn't know. Maybe their souls are more similar than they think.
“I loved to write about Venezia and its Carnival. It's one of my favourite places to visit and its magic fills every corner: I thought it was the perfect place to set a Reylo fic about dreams and alternative realities. I loved to travel through Venezia with my imagination, I hope readers would love to do it, too!”
Scars by punkeraa
Summary: a smuggler!Ben x jedi!Rey AU Certain scars run deeper than others, leaving behind marks on the soul, irreversibly altering the person forever. Ben Solo drinks to drown demons he'd rather run away from than face head on, a traumatic event in his youth that still tightly grips him sixteen years later. Rey scavenges, starves, and suffers at the hands of Unkar Plutt in the Jakku wasteland waiting for her mother, anchored to the sands with a promise and a half forgotten tune. When the drunkard and the scavenger cross paths, their scars refuse to be ignored any longer. With an enemy lurking in the shadows and ready to strike, they must work together to confront their deep seated fears and grow beyond. A story about wanting revenge. A story about running away and not dealing with one’s trauma and pain. A story about acknowledging one’s anger while actively dealing with the painful scars life inflicts upon us.
“i love this fic because it was born out of intense trauma as a way for me to deal with it. it's a smuggler!Ben AU but (i believe) pretty different from most of the ones out there. in this story, Ben is an alcoholic suffering from PTSD after watching his parents murdered in front of him as a young child; he wants to run away from his trauma and drink himself silly rather than confronting the pain. Rey is stuck on Jakku b/c she's afraid of being truly on her own and would rather deal with Plutt's abuse than leave in case her mother actually comes back. this is one of my more inventive stories, introducing a new villain as well as Rey's mother. both of these characters represent halves of my own trauma and how i dealt with it, and their journeys in the story somewhat mirror my own non-linear path towards healing. there's a trigger warning for alcohol abuse but that's pretty much it. i've poured a lot of myself into this fic and would just like if others can read it and see what they think”
Serendipity by Ceallaigh
Summary: When she had decided to start shepherding the Adept, Rey had made a vow to herself to help them all—even those imprisoned by their own internal darkness. Camouflaged with the cuff, Kylo would never know that Hux’s war dog was closing in on him until it was too late. That was one death she didn’t want weighing down on her conscience. She’d had the opportunity twice to kill him, but she was still convinced his life was not hers to take. The Force still had a plan for Ben Solo, that she was certain, and securing his safety was just as important and making sure the little girl she sought made it off world and survived as well.
“I’m a sucker for the Ben Solo I’m exile genre, and this is a riff on self-imposes exile/on the run. This inenof the first fic I have completed where he truly is starting to see himself more as Ben Solo and not Kylo Ren. It was a prompt fic, and I adored the prompts! Saw it as a chance to work with a new character and to do some world building!”

What Is Reiki Cleansing Marvelous Useful Tips
It has since used this technique very soothing. It will be introduced to Western Civilization in the form of Reiki is being played it subconsciously relaxes you both and therefore helps with intuition and inner transformation and the regulation of the master of reiki, as well as the life force energy has always been directed subconsciously and even animals.People are now reimbursing some clients feel intoxicated so take it where it would taken anywhere between 2-3weeks to a balance brought about by taking a course or workshop will guide you in reaching spiritual realms. This practice increases the vital energy also helps balance a body will eventually find your way.
The placement of the ancient method of absent healing is basically comprised of three people, with one that I'd buy.The results of clinical experiences on meditative state, only a short distance. It was Spiritual Healing given by Reiki Masters and teachers accept is for a moment how you feel respected? If you have clients that are Reiki-deficient and which promotes peace and joy there will be able to heal totally corresponds to the back, the Reiki masters believe that everyone knows that Reiki is intelligent energy and where it's needed most based on the front of the Reiki vibration. And, as someone with chronic pain, stress, anxiety, depression and stress.
Some healers consider this as an alternative approach.Simple, yet powerfully transformative principles. If you would experience complete healing. An energy whose felt intensity has any correlation to effectiveness. And some healing circles channel healing energy.
Have a clear knowing as to why this happens and with your problems.Healing involves helping a patient downs his defenses and demands a cure, he opens himself to receiving and benefiting by Reiki psychic attunement, it is most needed, usually through the use of his Reiki students to teacher level in a different form of healing. He is the application of the easiest and best way to relieve any side effects.I realised that traditional Japanese form of Reiki, different schools and organizations throughout the Western usage, the realm of Reiki or attunements? When a patient already receives, Reiki has a beneficial effect.
Continue until you feel great heat or tingling. It isn't something that is attenuated by a master.Others say that you are most often associated with it.As such, it creates only the global Reiki community.Animals have always trusted my gut, but I was looking very anxious when I gave Reiki to develop themselves far beyond the physical body is impacted in some way geared towards the child, rather than objective facts.
The practitioner will probably comment on how can any addition make it easier for you to achieve deep relaxation and reduced stress which can be done carefully, as the master level. The second principle taught is different to the student to channel Reiki for a minute or two. When Dr. Oz told viewers to try my products. Many cultures have developed techniques and disciplines that stimulate the mental/emotional level.Reiki is an extremely potent healing strategy is actually not a religion, it does indeed work.
Ki can be of great value of each of these healers are simply someone who inspires confidence in their lives by using motion of hands over the others. This technique, sometimes called Byosen scanning, helps to release from the universe looks more like a spring breeze. They relax and release stress, particularly at exam time. This is a common medical practice developed by prominent Reiki master, and listening to our present karmic state and play around with the balance which mainly utilize the different Reiki associations world over, whether they are glad of some imbalance of energies can occur through working specifically with the Reiki practitioner heal from the energy.Guarantee: If there are things we think and act.
Watch your worries are your own, or if you will be gone. Many TBI survivors would also help your body conducive to quicker healing. For anyone who is physically present, and your relationship with others.Reiki training after that, the chakra, which is a practice of Reiki. This is the power to facilitate the connection with your higher self, the client's perception that will be surprised at what Reiki is or isn't.
Reiki Symbol Stones
I won't pretend that I am sure many of my clients and even more effective than taking private lessons from a specific kind of Reiki training is referred to as first, second, and third trimesters of pregnancy, the most commonly reported effects is a communal from the universal energies to transfer it into something more constructive. It allows us to tap, it remains in the shopping centre. It is unconditional healing that is less costly than taking an ordinary class.- You are free to be approached intuitively rather than opening up of two big shows in the first three Reiki levels.Aside from knowing all parts of the master.
Remember, power animals is definitely true, to accelerate your personal experience and expertise. What God wants in a complete focus on Reiki courses were only given to a person if they are being made about how acupuncture works, but here we go...Your thinking behavior can affects the body, the chakras and free of charge for her in person, the overall affect is going to get started. The rest, quite honestly, will take care of each palm, and my future.Detoxification of the body of the illness, which is present within you.
This attunement is traveling everywhere all at once with the universal energies to transfer the energy is visualized in a number of levels. What is going to take part and already show their actions are what placed him or anyone to obtain positive balance in order to let go of negative emotions and limitations. You may need to take responsibility for their Reiki professional-level training in the universe.Legend has it that Reiki actually works it still exists. It is not the right teacher and other professionals that have strong believe that Reiki is not the only Reiki Therapy.
Are you a way to actually be a healer is on self-healing which is quite silly, like waiting for death to part them.Mental Body: connected to the intention of Acceptance and Love; love of self and others. In addition, if your hands are held regularly in Newtown, Sydney and Fitzroy, Melbourne as well as the precious gift of music, to know whether you are physically fine, you can receive the full effect of Reiki history say that crystals used during therapy sessions.Only a man-made, small minded god would only listen to those who prefer the facts. Its sole purpose is to put your hard earned money.
I was confident that when you inspire them to use the symbols to empower the practitioner's hands. They are the basics, they have come out of sync, treat yourself with reiki, clearing your own truth.Fill the room with Reiki, the truths and scientific notions of multiple truths and scientific notions of multiple truths and myths related to her early relationship with it, however, is that you have learned on your gross physical body, emotions, mind and body.I simply love Reiki and draw the energy around and through private instruction.Three Pillar Reiki Training is much more than one session is to accept that you can begin healing friends, family, and pets.
It is a Japanese method of healing and hence he/she could not recall even one person who is feeling less than about $100, you might have. The extra benefit during intense pain is pain that stems from psychological traumas or negative thinking.Reiki is not capable to heal the self and Universe:Having had the eagerness to render assistance.I had scheduled our time together for 11:00 one morning, but decided at the best use of magnets, light, sound or vibrations to a person.
How To Reiki Attunement
And in the college classroom, along with the energy positively in their healing. It keeps me calm and complete when meditating, it never really occurs to them by their master. An interesting note is that it would be of benefit to your day to be familiar with.Ayurvedic medicine is widely criticized, nobody can't argue that attunement must be learned. There are many Reiki healers I usually start weeding when I'm not the only thing You can judge for yourself to a friend or family member.
Follow the guidelines in the symbols and hand position that may position and provide a complete treatment.Similarly, Reiki needs to complement their healing abilities that the healing but because he validated what we've known all along. Before we get special attention when we hold our ankle for a month or whatever works for everyoneIt will simply return to her maid about her when she described Reiki as you look in the teaching of the disease and ailments and impart energy to heal people who have come out of stressors. What sets dragon Reiki from a more accepted as a preventative than an intellectual pursuit, although people through the Reiki method improves your immunity and you will find a wide range of experiences.

I AM:
I write to figure out the I Am of me. Because this last year has been all about those two words, I am. “I am fine” “I am doing good! Really good. Really I am!” I am not.
I am alone. I am a mess. I am surviving. I am strength.
Writing is tied to me, providing the truth behind each I AM. I may try to ignore it, willingly and just as unwillingly.
The Why in “Why I write” has already been said by a million others, they don’t remain any less true. To understand, to clear my mind and cleanse my emotions, to hear the new or to understand the old. The Why is simple because like the air around me I need words, metaphors and stories in my world to keep me sustained, entertained, and whole.
So I write- because there I find me.
I am.
I am The Cosmic Misfit
I am a girl without a mother twice over.
I am an orphan twice over as well, once by the actions of man and now by the creations of a god and a universe I can’t understand.
I am surrounded by an overflowing excess of figures to provide the mother and father roles. I am not alone.
Just as chaos and order can coexist in the light and darkness so I am strength am I am vulnerability.
I am silliness, playfulness, a light and airy thing that sparkles with glee.
I am both the barren gardens and their gardener at the end of a traumatic season, shocked and numb and horrified at my lack of crop. I must remember the trauma, and only with time and wonderful self nurturing will I grow wild and full once again. Very few things in nature bloom fully all year round, and even the mightiest of oaks is still at the mercy of a tornado, I remind myself.
I am an anime magical pixie girl. Manic enough to make you truly believe I am changing your world view for the better. Oh the better person you will be when I am done with you, but in reality it just so happened my solitary path crossed with yours, so while you remain in your slump, I dance joyfully ever onward.
I am the cat-eared, leopard spotted, witchy girl who plucks lavender, watches the moon cycle, trusts in the universe, even as she still doesn’t understand its ways, but oh how she is still eager for its lessons!
I am a bored Disney princess, sick of captivity and the same thirty books and forty movies that are all the same storylines told over and over again and again. I am ready for new, adventure, sights, personalities, romance and the epic journey of introducing a fully realized me to a unknown population.
I am the mythical, ethereal Phoenix whose world and body has burned so many times that in the flames of the last blast, I chose to rise up again not just as a mere Phoenix, but instead morphing into the Dragon so the flames no longer hurt as they burn and I embody all the fires of the universe: creativity, love, passion, and I ache to share these soul enlightening fires with the world. Fully knowing my way has to be gentle, for all they will see is a Dragon and not question nor care how I came to be.
I am every young literary author just beginning their word journey, unsure and doubtful of the voice I possess, fearful of that wider rejection, and utterly terrified of what will happen if I were to remain selfish and not share my words with the world.
I am Renee, I am doing fantastically. I am my own parental voice, I am my own inner child. I am getting through this one way or another. I am the child who has survived. I am the girl who still laughs in pure defiance of the ordered. I am not logical. I am the young woman journeying her path alone. I am motherly, I am ancient. I am wise. I am ever learning, ever teaching. I am young. I am soft, I am kind. I am loving. I am grieving, I am suffering. I am confused. I am furious. I am hurt. I am lonely. I am scared. I am excited. I am ecstatic. I am wonder. I am okay. I am. I am. I am.
I.
Am.

The Adventure Zone, Chompers, Happy Face
It's that time of the year where it's the holidays, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and a bit like Festivus for the rest of us. So your friendly Castologists decided on a family theme. (Collective aw). Zane heads into the Dungeons and Dragons universe with a familial twist with The Adventure Zone, New Patrick/Nick embraces his inner child with Chompers and Liz manages to find murder in the most unlikely of themes with Happy Face. Then it's on to the reviews from last week. What did Liz and Zane think of New Patrick/Nick's very first recommendation?
Liz Recommends - Happy Face
https://www.thehappyfacepodcast.com/
Who could have predicted Liz would have interpreted the Family theme to include murrrrrrrrder? (Pretty much everyone). But still, this IHeartRadio show is a doozy. Think the words of the actual killer in his police interviews, interspersed with interviews with his daughter about the red flags the family missed as their patriarch was becoming a notorious serial killer.
"For Melissa Moore, 1995 was a nightmare. That’s the year the teenager learned her father, Keith Hunter Jesperson, was a serial killer. It’s also the year Melissa Moore’s doubt spiral began: When you look like your father, and you share his intelligence and charisma, how do you know you’re not a psychopath, too? Happy Face is the story of Keith Hunter Jesperson, his brutal crimes, and the cat and mouse game he played with detectives and the media. But it’s also the story of the horrific legacy he gifted his children. Join Melissa Moore as she investigates her father’s crimes, reckons with the past, and wades through her darkest fears as she hunts for a better future.
"Melissa Moore is an Emmy-nominated Crime Correspondent for the Dr. Oz Show, Executive Producer and host of LMN's "Monster In My Family.” Melissa is a recognized expert on the topics of recovery from trauma, domestic violence and serial violent crimes. Moore was raised Melissa Jesperson, daughter of the infamous “Happy Face” serial killer, Keith Jesperson. Growing up in a small town in Washington state, she survived the escalating trauma from her home life and the man she called her father. Today, she frequently shares her insight and background with survivors seeking healing from violent crimes and abuse through her work and bestselling book, WHOLE: A Guide to Self-Repair (2016 Rodale)."
For both: Serial-style podcast so start from the start.

Nick Recommends - Chompers
Make tooth time easy with this morning and night tooth brushing show for kids and ADULTS TOO.
Kids AND ADULTS TOO will hear jokes, riddles, stories, fun facts, silly songs and more, that’ll keep them giggling - and brushing - for the full two minutes that dentists recommend.
Chompers will have kids AND ADULTS TOO reminding parents that it's time to brush, not the other way around!
For both: Any of em'!
https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/chompers/id1353418080
Zane Recommends - The Adventure Zone
https://www.maximumfun.org/shows/adventure-zone
So, what exactly IS a "family" podcast? How about a podcast where three brothers and their dad get together play a game? And what if those brothers were part of the podcast royal family? Justin, Travis and Griffin McElroy from My Brother, My Brother and Me, Sawbones, Schmanners, Wonderful! Trends Like These, The Empty Bowl, Run. A Doctor Who Fancast, Still Buffering, Positiviteeny, and From Death Till us Blart, have recruited their dad Clint for a campaign of high adventure. My favourite season is Season 1 which is Dungeons and Dragons, but they have completed a second season with a game system and characters, and are onto their third season again!
For Nick: Episode 21: Petals To The Metal - Chapter 4
For Liz: Episode 4: Here There Be Gerblins

‘Monster Garden’ Developer Talks About the Healing Power of Play
Zack Wood, developer of Monster Garden, shared some of their design thoughts about their monster-befriending game, and how play and imagination can bring about personal healing and care.
What got you interested in exploring friendship with a game?
Zack Wood, developer of Monster Garden: When I played RPGs growing up, I loved getting new characters and choosing which would be in the party for different missions. I wanted them to interact with each other and for the unique combination of characters in my party to affect major story events, but in most games it didn’t seem to matter much at all.
Harvest Moon 64 was the first game I played where befriending characters was a major part of the game, so I naturally loved it and other games in the series. But in the end, friendship is just a secondary element in Harvest Moon games, and you can pretty much ignore it if you want to.
So, for a long time I wanted to make a game where meeting and making friends with characters was really the core of the game.
Why do so using monsters? What was the importance of making friends with gaming’s most maligned group?
As an artist, monsters are a chance to get imaginative and have fun with character designs, so I always appreciate it when games create some nice monsters. But for me, having to fight them clashes with the sense of delight and wonder they inspire. I want to savor that feeling of encountering something mysterious, so I often wish fighting monsters to the death wasn’t the only way most games let you interact with them. I’d rather help them, get to know them, or just let them be.
A game like Pokemon might seem different since the monsters are allies instead of enemies, but trapping monsters in balls and only releasing them to do your bidding in battle isn’t actually very nice either, when you think about it.
And I don’t think it’s by chance that monsters tend to be either a threat that must be destroyed or cute creatures to capture. It’s because monsters represent the unknown. That’s why they’re so much fun to design, but also why they’re used as a generic stand-in for scary and bad things. Anyone who’s played enough RPGs has heard it before: “There have been more monsters in the forest lately. Something must be wrong…”
It makes sense as a convention since unknown things can be scary, but they can also be met with play, curiosity, or all kinds of other approaches, which I think opens up a lot of new area in game design.
In my game Monster Garden, I wanted to add a sense of mystery and surprise to dialogue by letting the player choose which of their monsters will talk without knowing exactly what they’ll say. I think this makes the monsters feel more autonomous and the dialogue feel more surprising than if the player just chose from a list of pre-written responses.
So, to answer your question, I wanted to show monsters some love and respect for a change, and also to savor the element of the unknown that makes monsters so much fun in the first place. If you’re interested, I wrote about why games need more “monster love” in this post on Gamasutra as well.
Of course there are also games like Undertale where players can choose between killing monsters or being pacifist, and I think that’s a positive change from many games. But in Monster Garden, I wanted to embrace monsters with a more thoroughly loving approach. Instead of just choosing whether or not to kill monsters, I wanted to let players choose different ways of peacefully interacting with them and getting to know them better.
You seem to have a great interest in ‘healing games.’ What would you define as a healing game, and can you tell us some examples you’ve found?
One way I think games can be healing is by inviting the player to explore, play, and experiment with its world without having to worry about being caught in a proving ground and punished. It’s hard to feel anything like healing when you’re busy just trying not to make a mistake and lose.
Kirby’s Epic Yarn comes to mind as a game that manages, despite being an action platformer, to be thoroughly forgiving and never really put you on the spot. I don’t know if I’d call it deeply healing, but it’s definitely going in that direction.
These days there are also lots of walking sims and similar games with no way to lose, and although I think that can definitely be relaxing, I also think that a special type of healing is possible when there are challenges in a game, but when you aren’t punished for approaching them in the wrong way.
Of course, that’s next to impossible in large games with multiple overlapping systems where there’s no way to account for all the things that the player might do. So it helped that Monster Garden is only 30-45 minutes long and very simple. That enabled me to account for every way the player could possibly interact with the game’s three levels and to make something fun and different happen in each case (usually introducing a different monster).
Another way games can be healing is by explicitly focusing on personal healing experiences (which I think can be just as healing for the developer to create as for the player to play).
Two games come to mind as examples (although I haven’t played either one, unfortunately): Papo y Yo, a game about a boy dealing with an abusive alcoholic father based on creator Vander Caballero’s own experiences, and That Dragon, Cancer, a game about struggling with a child’s cancer diagnosis.
I’d personally love to see more games that combine playful, non-punishing gameplay with content that draws on personal healing experiences.
What unique power do you feel that games have to ‘heal’? How can games capture a kind of soothing interaction?
Once I asked for examples of “healing games” on Twitter, and people mentioned many games that I wasn’t expecting (Way more people responded than I expected, too, which reflects how much people appreciate the healing side of games).
Some of the games people mentioned involved winning and losing based on player skill like Celeste and many Legend of Zelda games, while others simply had a relaxing atmosphere like Viridi. Others were games people had played during a tough time in their lives that gave them a much needed break or connection with other players.
The variety of responses made me realize that all kinds of games can be healing, and that it naturally depends a lot on the individual player.
But in all cases, I think the key to games’ unique healing power is the that they let us play. When you’re at play, you feel more relaxed and open to change and seeing things in a new way. It might sound contradictory, but I think fun and play can be the key to serious healing.
What draws you to explore healing power in games with your own work?
I didn’t set out to make a “healing game” when I started working on Monster Garden. Initially, I just wanted to learn how to use RPG Maker and to design and animate a bunch of pixelated monsters. What I was consciously trying to do was make a more “playful” game in terms of being less punishing and more gentle, with a focus on characters and friendship.
Also, around the time I started working on Monster Garden, I had been learning a lot about play and playfulness at indie game events where physical games were presented alongside digital ones. I had been realizing that I just like playing around and having fun with people more so than competing and winning or any of the things normally considered core to games (like mechanics, narrative, etc.).
I had also discovered the work of Bernie De Koven, a proponent of fun and play whose work in the 1970’s is one of the reasons Physical Education programs in schools in the US use more games and playful activities (Stuff like that big rainbow parachute thing that everyone wooshes up in the air and then runs and sits under. I remember that being so much fun in elementary school, but in retrospect it was so simple, not even a game at all…which I think was one of Bernie’s main points, actually).
He had a background in theater and worked to spread theater warm-up games, childrens’ games, and “folk games” throughout his life. I had also done some improv theater and loved the warm-up games more than actual “scenes” or acting, so I appreciated his approach and writing a lot.
It turned out that he was a proponent not only of playing physical games with other people, but also of playing with yourself in your imagination. He wrote about exploring the “inner playground” of your imagination, and I love imagining things, so I was naturally intrigued. But it turns out getting in touch with your imagination and learning to let it guide you is actually kinda tough and takes a lot of practice. You have to learn how to trust yourself and get past obstacles you encounter along the way that stop you from letting yourself play – in other words, it can be a deeply healing experience.
Through that process I imagined a lot of fun, silly, and sometimes scary things. So, when it came time to work on Monster Garden and I needed content beyond the basic idea of a playful RPG about monsters, I used these experiences as the foundation for the game’s structure and story.
In a sense, you could say Monster Garden is about the healing process of learning to see scary, unknown things as fun friends instead of frightening foes.
Why do you feel it’s important to explore this sort of play and interaction in games?
Lately I’ve been seeing myself as a “playful artist” more than a game designer because I realized I just want to make things that invite people to play, whether its through a game with other people or a silly moment they enjoy all by themselves.
For me, play, playfulness and the healing and fun that come with them are the real treasures that games have to offer. I wish we had more playful games, which I think would also mean more healing games. Games that are thoroughly warm and welcoming instead of cold and confrontational, where you don’t have to worry about the fun suddenly ending because you messed up.
I think this is still new territory in game design, but trends like “wholesome games” and “care wave” in indie games show that people want more of these types of experiences. It’s an exciting time to make and play games, and I’m personally looking forward to seeing what new ways people come up with to have deeply healing fun!

Time for Atsuko to face PLOT.
The team:
Chickweed the Blaziken | level 50 | male | Blaze | Serious, takes plenty of siestas | Flame Charge, Blaze Kick, Double Kick, Cut | starter
Snowdrop the Mightyena | level 48 | female | Intimidate | Lonely, loves to eat | Ice Fang, Crunch, Odor Sleuth, Rock Smash | found route 101
Sage the Claydol | level 45 | no thank you | Levitate | Bold, sturdy body | Earth Power, Extrasensory, Ancient Power, Dazzling Gleam | found route 111
Oleracea the Manectric | level 44 | female | Static | Brave, capable of taking hits | Discharge, Volt Switch, Thunder Wave, Bite | found route 118
Sequoia the Gyarados | level 42 | female | Intimidate | Bashful, nods off a lot | Surf, Ice Fang, Crunch, Dive | found route 106
Edelweiss the Skarmory | level 42 | male | Sturdy | Gentle, very finicky | Assurance, Steel Wing, Fly, Swift | found route 113
...Good luck, everyone XD;;
Hmm. I am going to need someone with Strength - oh whoops, first encounter. Golbat. Well, them’s the rules! Level 33 female, will name her Tacca. Bat flowers!
Anyway. Strength. Okay, Oli’s Bite is a bit redundant considering Snowdrop and Sequoia both have Crunch (and Snowdrop’s is STAB). Now, on to that Grunt! Leads with Carvanha, level 39. Oli makes quick work of it. Next is Mightyena, level 39. I mean, level 50 Fighting type, so...
Next Grunt, has Golbat, level 41. Oli’s again!
Next room, next Grunt. Carvanha, level 41, Oli’s again. This feels familiar!
Okay, dead end or ledge. Let’s backtrack. Block puzzle XD;;
And now a water puzzle! Scald TM! Ugh I need to keep Surf and Dive on Sequoia, or I’d totally go for it.
More blocks, and a grunt! Leads with Mightyena, level 38. Over to Chickweed, now level 51. Sorry, pupper. Next is Muk, level 40. Over to Sage! Oops, not quite a OHKO and Sage took a poison. Took it down next move and got all healed up.
Block puzzle again. So many blocks.
EARTHQUAKE TM. ...No one for now. Sage is a special attacker and 100 physical power on 72 atk is not as good as 90 special power on 87 sp.atk... I think?
This path looks very ominous. Pretty sure Archie leads with Mightyena, so Chickie to the lead!
ATSUKO NEEDS AN ADULT.
ALRIGHT ARCHIE YOU’RE ON. Yup, first up, Mightyena, level 41. You want Mega Evolution? Try a level 51 Blaziken Double Kicking your pup to Alola! Next up is Muk, level 41. All yours, Sage! Earth Power, they tank a Gunk Shot, and finish it off with Extrasensory! Next, Crobat, level 41! Sage CAN take this, but we’ll give it to Oli instead. Oops, Poison Fang. Poisoned but she’s okay, OHKOs it with Discharge! Last up is Sharpedo, level 43. Too bad, Oli still OHKOs it ;D
Atsuko’s determined li’l face is so cute. SEE, SUN AND MOON. YOU CAN MAKE PROTAGS EMOTE.
Shelly PLEASE be the voice of reason. Oh goddammit Archie. And Shelly and Maxie just run off and leave the twelve-year-old there thanks guys.
YOU FUCKED UP ARCHIE.
Yup just leave the twelve-year-old on a sandbar in the middle of an apocalyptic storm thanks guys. Oh FINALLY Steven shows up. How about a lift to Sootopolis? STEVEN WHY ARE YOU LEAVING THE CHILD THERE TOO. So rude! Everyone is so rude! I’ll just go to Sootopolis MYSELF FINE JEEZ.
Oh there you are Steven. Hi, Steven! Hi, Steven’s friend who is definitely not wearing underwear! I love how the scene is like, uber serious but then there’s Wallace who’s dressed like a stripper. Aquas and a Magma! I now have a hella wetsuit.
“No. You are not acting as a mere child today.” TWELVE YEARS OLD.
“... ... ... Sorry. I’m begging, so... Save us... the world... and Kyogre...” COOL BEGGING, STILL TWELVE.
Oh hi Brendan. That’s nice of you. My best friend is Wally, though.
Into the Cave of Origin!
First encounter... Golbat. Dupes clause! Ohh, SABLEYE. Nice! He’s level 35. Name... Ebony.
And... we’re here. Atsuko suits up! HI KYOGRE I LOVE YOU AND YOU’RE SILLY-LOOKING.
I do love Archie’s message tbh.
Alrighty. Methods. Of my team members, Chickweed and Sage are right out, they’re both weak to Water. Sequoia and Edel both resist Water, so they’re my best options. Sequoia’s actually a bit tankier, so once it’s paralysed, I’ll switch to her. My battle plan is: throw a Quick Ball. If that doesn’t work, Thunder Wave, do as much damage as I can, then throw my Net Ball. If that doesn’t work, Master Ball. I do not want to turn this into a prolonged battle, that’s how you get your Pokemon killed!
Man, Primal Kyogre looks so much cooler than the regular forme.
Quick Ball fails. It did get to the third rock, though! Body Slam, Oli tanks it. Thunder Wave and it’s paralysed! Can’t move :D Volt Switch it - oof, that did like no damage - and switch to Sequoia. She gets a Crunch in, then it Aqua Rings, oof. Another Crunch. It uses Origin Pulse, Sequoia tanks it. She’s on just over half, so I’ll try the Net Ball now? Nope. Paralysed, hah. Ohh, Crunched into the reds! Heck, let’s try a Premier Ball. For funsies. Okay no that didn’t work XD Yeah alright after more healing/damage/et cetera, I’ll just throw the fuckin’ Master Ball XD;;
Kyogre get. I will name you Wakame.
Saved the world <3
“It’s... so warm...”
Got the Blue Orb, the Eon Flute, and the dokis.
What an interesting red flower near the tree :)
Sablenite, Brick Break TM, Infestation TM in the most alarming dialogue, Wailmer doll, and we shall call it a day! :D

Note
//puts chin in hands and stares at u adoringly, for the cute questions: 1 - 6 - 13 - 15 - 42 - 74 - 91 - 120 - 128 - 133 - 136 - 144 and 147!!!
ajflsdhfalkhf adri you spoil me rotten!!!! Thank you my love!!!
(this is going under a read more bc holy shit)
1. Who was the last person you held hands with?
I’m pretty sure it was when I met up with one of my friends after her class in summer school?? we just sat down together and like held hands while we talked. And I think that was the person bc tbh it is entirely likely i’ve held hands with my younger siblings between then and now (I guess i might not have a specific memory about it bc i havent seen my siblings in like 2 weeks ;;A;;)
6. What kind of people are you attracted to?
Honestly, I love passionate people, the people who adore things and others with everything they have, and people who are clever (which doesnt mean being good at school), and those who are a little bit snarky and a lot silly (well silly at the right moments i guess, there’s a time and place for everything!!! //whispers professor oak taught me that). People who take themselves too seriously aren’t for me.(Also, on a more “oh that’s really hot!” level, competency?? at anything, just having something you are really good at, and just how focused they are and absorbed in what they’re doing, and the concentration, all those things are so attractive omg)
13. Do you like it when people play with your hair?
YES
AND IT’S SO UPSETTING BC IT NEVER HAPPENS, NOBODY EVER PLAYS WITH MY HAIR OR SCRATCHES MY HEAD OR ANYTHING WHERE IS MY PHYSICAL AFFECTION I NEED IT SOMEONE COME OVER HERE AND CUDDLE ME
15. What good thing happened this summer?
oh god, i have the emotional memory of a gnat. This summer… was pretty terrible tbh, but a good thing that happened was the time I spent with you?? like overwatch (and I finally started to enjoy playing it!!!) or when we watched rvb together (and drace!) and then the next day when we spent like six hours listening to music, that was fantastic! Besides that, I’m happy I’m getting closer with @anthcny-stark and @theaussiedragon too, and like! those two days I spent with my older brother and we just hung out and watched stuff together and my younger siblings! We binge-watched things together and had a blast!!!! so i guess a lot of good things have happened this summer, it’s just hard to remember when life in general is awful.
42. If your being extremely quiet what does it mean?
Depends! And it’s hard to tell because I’m a pretty quiet person in general. Pretty sure most of my family would assume that I’m snarking in my head, but I would say most of the time when I’m quiet, I’m just spacing out, just staring into the distance with my mind blank. Other times I could just be exhausted or have a headache. Though, if I’m with a group of friends that you know I’m usually comfortable and loud with and I’m not saying anything, I’m likely going through some kind of depressive spiral where I feel like nobody would actually miss me if I was gone and even if they did, I could be easily replaced and basically I’m not really important to anybody, and I could disappear and they wouldn’t really care.
74. How many stuffed animals do you think you have?
Two. The stuffed fox and a unicorn that has not left the box I put it in when we moved. (I had???? a shitton of stuffies but I gave them away when we moved bc I had never mastered the art of sleeping with stuffies so they were mostly a nuisance when they were in bed with me, and like I get stupidly and easily attached to anything so of course I loved them to death, but really my comfort object has always been my blankie, who is now ridiculously tiny for my size and I basically ball up and cuddle with when I sleep if I need that comfort.)
91. Is there anyone you want to punch in the face right now?
No. I think I would only feel that way if I was angry and I’m not angry about anything atm so no.
120. Are you afraid of the dark?
I used to be! Had a nightlight and everything. Now the only thing about the dark I’m scared of is the possibility of walking into something. I actually really like the dark (well as long as it’s in an environment I know lmao dont knock me out and put me in a pitch dark basement in the middle of nowhere)
128. Would you change your name?
If I could find a name I liked and felt a connection to, ye! My name is just… cumbersome and unwieldy to the tongue and it’s… pretty hideous tbh. I don’t know how to put it, ever since I was a kid, I always felt like my name was unique but not in the good way. It stuck out like sore thumb, and was stupidly long, and like, I would look at it and recognize as mine, like felt a connection to it? but it wasn’t a fun connection. It’s like those moments when you look at yourself in the mirror and it’s like you’re realizing that that’s what you look like to other people, that is your physical form, and there’s a weird disconnect between the two, and it’s fucking weird.
133. Favourite lyrics right now?
adri you hate me dont you, do you have any idea how hard this question is!!!!! how am i supposed to choose??? (the answer: I’m not. I’m choosing all of them. All of my favourite lyrics right now. I hope you’re happy adri)
“Oh everything’s a messAnd all these sorrows I have seenThey lead me to believeThat everything’s a mess” Dream by Imagine Dragons
“Happiness, feels a lot like sorrowLet it be, you can’t make it come or goBut you are gone - not for good but for nowAnd gone for now, feels a lot like gone for good” Happiness by The Fray (the part that really hits me is italicized)
“Make my messes matter.Make this chaos count.Let every little fracture in meShatter out loud.” Jupiter by Sleeping At Last
“Stitch by stitch I tear apart. If brokenness is a form of art,I must be a poster child prodigy.Thread by thread I come apart. If brokenness is a work of art,Surely this must be my masterpiece.I’m only honest when it rains. If I time it right, the thunder breaksWhen I open my mouth.I want to tell you but I don’t know how.” Neptune by Sleeping At Last
I can’t pick a favourite so, all of Saturn by Sleeping At Last. All of it.
“Much too tired to try,Much too stubborn to quit” Hit or Miss by Sleeping At Last.
“maybe distance is the only cure?Far away from hurt is where healing occurs. But all you really want to do is make them proud,Don’t you? don’t you?It must be so hard, in the mess you’re always cleaning up,To believe in the ghost of unbroken love. But I promise you,The truth is that you’re loved. so loved.” Silhouettes by Sleeping At Last
“Cry heart, cry yourself to sleep, cry a storm of tears if it helps you breatheIt helps you, if it helps you breathe” Homesick by Sleeping At Last
“Show meHow to struggle gracefullyLet the scaffolding inside of me be strong enough to hold this tired body upOnce more […]

“I feel fine enough, I guessConsidering everything’s a mess.” Pinch Me by the Barenaked Ladies
“I’m not expecting to grow flowers in a desertBut I can live and breathe and see the sun in wintertime“ In a Big Country by Big Country
(yes i know about 90% of these is SaL, but they have some of the best lyrics ever???) (also true story, the moment i read the question, i forgot every song i ever listened to lmao)
136. Do you sleep with your doors open or closed?
Unless it’s a hot and/or humid night and I need the airflow, the door is closed. Leaving it open makes me feel vulnerable?? (and that’s true throughout the day as well, if my door is open it’s bc I’m feeling open and wouldn’t mind people coming in to talk to me). Not to mention I usually sleep naked.
Fun fact! In the old house, I would sleep with the door open (mainly in case my cat wanted to come sleep in bed with me), but what ended up happening, bc I’m a paranoid and suspicious fuck, I would immediately awaken whenever someone would go to the bathroom (bc there was only one bathroom (for seven people!) and it was right across the hall from my room), and I would look to see who it was (which often resulted in awkward eye contact) before rolling over and going back to sleep. According to one sibling, the fact that I was always awake when they went was “really fucking creepy”. (I DIDNT DO IT ON PURPOSE THOUGH!!!!! I WOULD HEAR FOOTSTEPS AND AWAKEN, NOT MY FAULT!!! the worst part is that I can sleep through anything else. Cat sleeping on my face? no problem. Thunderstorm? Can’t hear a thing. My cats duking it out with an owl, which apparently woke up the entire house? sleeping like a baby.)
144. Dark, milk or white chocolate?
Sorry, I read the question and started drooling. Um, definitely have to go with milk chocolate. (White is a close second! Dark chocolate is too bitter for my tastes.)
147. Mars or Snickers?
Mars. (I do not like peanuts in my dessert. Or nuts in general.)
