january month of yuugi

#yugioh #ygo dm #yugi mutou #idk what was in the water on 2025 opening but it really got me thinking hm. I will finally draw yuugi #ygo has been in my dna for like close to a decade at this point and yet. I have never attempted to draw anything for it #until now. my audacity has finally reached quota #wishshipping saved my ass this lunar new year and its not even an exaggeration. thank you kazuki takahashi for the boys. rest in peace #mutou yuugi I love u.... u r my son #not mentioned in this stack but dsod's decision to thin yuugi's choker is the funniest shittiest character design decision on earth #like as a detail its so nothing. when u zoom out it just looks like a shadow dropped wrong somewhere. I have come to terms with #the other fashion choice for him in that movie but the tiny ass choker I don't accept. that's stupid. big it #I rly like the vision of older yuugi being like. obnoxiously polite and cheerful #specifically in a way that's not like ceding space for everyone else. like it's clear at all time that he's Like That #and nobody will be able to stop him from being Like That #and also tbh I can never imagine him leaving domino for long (<- definitely not projecting my city slicker ass on him)#I think the game shop's been where he's safe to be himself for so long that he'd want to keep it running and extend #that shade to other kids in the city too. his loyal customers are so scared of disappointing him for no reason #.... typed huge wall of text abt jou leaving domino for tournaments etc frequently but always coming back to hang out with yuugi #I am actually ill abt them huh.... maybe ygo was the progenitor honestly maybe it started me on the two blokes who do fuckall ships #yuugi is so cute but I do know in my heart tho he does Not cook. that kid has never learned and will never manage #I know he doesnt even have water in his office whenever he works. scared of spilling #its a good thing hes got friends galore now people are blowing his phone up wasting their sms toll telling him to drink water #(slowly tipping into mania) I just think he's so neat. love that boy he's so cute

#spongebob fanart #spongebob squarepants #sbsp #sbsp fanart #my art #he's a nerd he has a whole personal library and loves to use his imagination while delving into a book #he is the annoying coworker and is completely blissfully unaware of it #when he does notice ppl treating him differently he still can't help being himself no matter how much he tries to be a “cool man” or smthng #he has acne anyways but being around a fryer and grease all the time doesn't help #the acne also adds to his childishness along with his interests and behaviour #i think his parents are kind of concerned for him from time to time.. one example being his driver's license #but he was probably great to have as a kid. i imagine he'd have been easy to deal with except that he'd probably get emotional very quickly #for the rest i don't think he'd cause any trouble at least not intentionally but he must've been kind of annoying and his parents are #probably a bit protective due to him having been so sensitive growing up #I don't know if he went to college so there's that #but basically he leads his life his way (as a fry cook and general silliness) to the confusion of others around him

I just thought of some very good dialogue between Crosshair and Echo and now I am tempted to write a fic of them in the very beginning after Echo first joins where Echo is just so stubbornly persistent and Crosshair is Crosshair-ing in the most 'walls up, let no one in' kind of way and it doesn't even need to have a plot it just needs to exist

#the bad batch #tbb echo #tbb crosshair #the bad batch fanfiction #imagine this okay this is what I'm thinking #Crosshair is in a mood has been for days #and the rest of the batch is like leave him be he will get over it #and Echo is like... no something doesn't seem alright #and he is trying to get through to him #because this is Cross this is the man who wanted him to join clone force 99 from like minute 1 after they met #he has seemed distant in the way that change is hard for Cross (as it is for all the batch)#but this distance is... worse...#and one night Crosshair is sitting on the roof of the ship alone and sulking and Echo against other's advice follows him up there #and they talk and Crosshair is aloof bc talking about stuff is not how the batch does things #and Echo is so... persistent #he isn't put off by the cold shoulder even if it is annoying #and they don't get to the root of what is going on with Cross but it's enough that the ice melts a little #Cross learns that Echo is a safe place (as they all are) and Echo learns that Cross is petrified of being vulnerable #they find they may have more in common than anticipated #and there is safety and comfort in each other #even when one of them may be resistant to it when they're going through it #it is the bones of an idea that hasn't truly taken shape yet #but oh it is up there #anyway apologies for my rambling it will happen again #<3 #space chatter

#this is why all of my OCs are horrible people in one way or another #this goes for relationships too #lum1ty is cute and all but nothing about it ever destroyed me nearly as much as even the most tame scene between any members of #the calamity trio. and ik it's because the relationship between those 3 is what drives the story while lum1ty is a romantic subplot and all #but my objection is: that's precisely the problem #it's supposedly meant to be the fluff amongst the angst. a refuge from everything else that happens in the show #plus it's not the MAIN main relationship of the show - the main relationship is between Eda Luz and King #but... i genuinely believe divorcing lum1ty from the rest of the story does them a disservice. imagine how could it would have been if #they let amity be a little bit worse. deeper into the emperor's coven or something. with a more intense rivalry w luz #characters in toh just need more Drama imo especially luz's friends #hunter is great *because* he's Dramatic #this isn't toh bashing. i love toh. i just can't help but feel it's an example of characters being too... *nice*#cant remember who said that the only thing worth writing about was the human heart in conflict with itself and #im sorry but you can't convince me a character like gus or willow is just as much in conflict with themselves as like. idk. hop pop.

you know the hyperfixation is extreme when you are willing to learn an entire craft and become a slave to the animation industry just so that you can make content for it. i would put my blood, sweat, and tears into animating all of scum villain if it didn’t also grind my soul into a million pieces.

#⚙️#I need to be working right now but all i can think about is storyboarding my favorite scenes #and how i would animate sqq’s micro-expressions. like Frieren does a very good job at keeping stoic characters stoic while drawing attentio #to the tiniest shift in their emotions. like i get that it can be hard to animate a protagonist with a 24/7 poker face #who also has bat-shit crazy internal dialogue... but it can be done if you think outside the box. don't just get rid of the poker face.#like right now I'm imagining a little ghost-version of sqq doing all of his internal monologue around the rest of the characters #but he shows up less and less as the story goes on. idk maybe I'd do something else but i kind of like that idea so far.#and of course whenever lbh and sqq have a scene together the perspective would change depending on where they are in their relationship #and how they see each other.#book 1 would show sqq from below eye-level because lbh looks up to him literally and figuratively #book 2: sqq is shown above eye-level and lbh below eye-level bc. height difference obviously but lbh is scary and intimidating #and sqq feels cornered.#at the end of book 3 they'd both have eye-level perspective etc etc #why does the hyperfixation kick in whenever i have shit to do.#ugh and i would use multi-media for whenever xin mo does weird xin mo shit #svsss #mxtx svsss #scum villain’s self saving system #rzfzx #ren zha fanpai zijiu xitong #scumbag self saving system #scum villian self saving system #scum villains self saving system #scum villain self saving system
