clandestine meetings and longing stares
juke secret dating au | title: illicit affairs // taylor swift | a middle of the night scribble
When twelve year old Julie Molina got a stern talk from her father that she wasn't allowed to date until college, the tween had no qualms with it. The only boy she's ever liked had been Sokka from Avatar and that was it. Real boys didn't interest her.
Until she turned sixteen and caught sight of Luke Patterson.
In the years between, she had small crushes here and there. Lance, Nick, Noah. None, however, competed with storm that erupted in her stomach each time Luke smiled at her - her heart in a constant frenzy.
It was the beginning of junior year when he randomly sat next to her in music class and brought out all the bravado. It shouldn't have been cute. Julie should've rolled her eyes, dismissed his cute smirk, but she simply couldn't. The shimmering green of his eyes and the nice laugh was too alluring, too attractive. Soon enough, Julie was crushing on him hard. Which was fortunate, since he very much liked her as well, something he never hid from her.
("Watch out, Julie," he joked during one of their first conversations. "The charm is gonna make you get a crush on me!")
Luke kissed her two weeks after, chastely and secretly under the bleachers. Her infatuated mind forgot in that moment how she wasn't even allowed to look at a guy and eagerly kissed him back. It had been her first kiss and wow - what a perfect one at that.
A beat later, she realised her mistake and told him about her dad's stupid rule. His face had crashed for all of ten seconds when a mischievous grin crawled on his lips (an expression that would get her into serious trouble one day) and said: "Why tell him?"
Had it been any other boy, she would've shaken her head and regret kissing him. But this was Luke. She really liked Luke. The idea of not being with him, of not seeing where this could go, was a greater fear than her father's disappointment. In response, she snatched him back into a kiss he all too hungrily went along with.
Rule #1: Don't date! Broken, busted, thrown out the window with a smile.
It started off easy. At school, no one had to worry. She sat with him at lunch and let herself be coaxed under the bleachers and snuggled into his embrace at the end of the day. On the parking lot, she could pretend she was simply saying goodbye to her boyfriend and not going home to lie in her dad's face about why she was so overly chipper all of a sudden.
(Luke made her so ridiculously happy it was unfair. Each time he surprised her with a hug, her feet lifted from the ground; each time they kissed, his thumbs grazed her cheeks like she was a precious gem; each time she came up with a clever lyric, he gave her the toothiest grin and called her all the cute nicknames he could think of. Boss, baby, babe, Lyric Queen.)
God, she was complete mush for this boy. Sometimes she wondered if she was doing enough, not quite matching his overt display of affection, but she knew she must be doing something right if he never stopped smiling when she talked. That his eyes held a certain softness, timidness, reserved for her only.
They outgrew school quickly. Both wanted to go on dates without raising suspicion, Luke wanted to come over and just be with her without causing havoc.
"Why does the rule exist anyway?", he asked at the end of a cool December day.
Julie toyed with the lapels of his red shacket. "It's dumb. I mean, I get it, but it's dumb." Sighing, she explained his reasoning. "He wants me to fully focus on school so that I can get into a good college. Once I secured that, then I'm allowed to have fun."
Luke frowned. "I- I guess I kind of get it."
Her eyes rolled teasingly. "You don't even want to go to college."
"Correction: I wanna go to frat parties and have the college experience-"
"Without the classes part," she deadpanned. His face fell flat, a giggle of her own following.
His frown returned, a look she hated seeing. "You don't think he'll… I don't know, let go of that rule when he sees we're good?" His calloused hands slipped from her waist to softly cradle her face. Julie sighed, leaning into the touch. Resisting Luke and everything he did was hard. A smile twitched on his lips. "Would be pretty dope to come through the front door and kiss my girlfriend."
Her heart clenched at his confession. It would be amazing, but it sounded so unbelievable that it could easily be taken as a joke. Dad would go absolutely insane if she pulled something like that. Hey dad! Don't mind me as I jump into the arms of my boyfriend and he kisses me like a heartthrob from the movies!
She should've known Luke would try something. His impulsivity was an admirable trait, she found, though the pebbles hitting her window past midnight have her such a fright that she cursed for a beat how one track minded he could be. Until she caught sight of him. Eyes twinkling in the moonlight, a wide smile, his casual stance. He pointed at her and she nodded, grabbing her phone to text him there was a ladder by the garage.
Quiet like a ghost and quick like a fox, Luke snuck into her room, feet falling onto the floor with a soft thud.
Butterflies raged in her stomach. Her secret boyfriend was here, in her room, right now, with her father sleeping just down the hall.
"What're you doing here?", she whispered, already breathless from having him near.
His nose scrunched up. "Trying to be romantic. Should I have called you first?"
She shook her head. "It's fine. Maybe next time. It's-" Her arms slung around his shoulders, heart hammering a mile a minute. Her pyjamas were nothing special, an oversized pullover and sweatshorts, but it felt oddly intimate to be so cozy together. His own faded t-shirt was from a zoo in Oregon and his sweatpants softer than any of the ones she owned. Julie almost asked to borrow them, if it wasn't for his lips to swallow the words with a warm kiss.
Her fingers slipped into his hair. Yeah. This was better than talking.
It soon became routine. Every other week, Luke would text her a moon emoji and then climb into her room around midnight. They'd kiss and cuddle, Luke often leaving by five am and then making a whole show at school as if he hadn't seen her. Julie thought it was cute. If she could, she'd return the favour and go to his place, but Luke assured her she did not want that and, consequently, her father would just know. Unfortunately, she didn't have Luke's agility like some parkour champ.
"Trust me, Jules, I don't mind," he told her at lunch while stealing a cherry tomato. "I like sneaking in."
Alex shot him a look. "You like feeling like the main character of a movie, that's what."
"You brainwashed me with romcoms, so it's your fault, dude,' Luke retorted, grinning when the blonde flipped him off.
They got cocky though. Julie knew her dad would be gone during the day for a photography gig in Santa Monica, all the way on the other side of Los Angeles. It was the perfect excuse to get Luke over. Excited, Julie opened the front door for him with a flourish and did a silly courtesy.
"Your first time using my door," she teased. "Must feel special."
His cocky nod made her roll her eyes. "Super special," he replied gravely, playing along. "She's been begging for me."
Her expression turned sour. "I haven't been begging for you."
His smirk widened, tugging on a curl as he slipped past her. "Was I talking about you?"
He didn't, but he did start making out with her the second they were in the safety of her bedroom, so she knew there wasn't much competition.
That afternoon, they successfully avoided her dad's wrath and felt arrogantly confident about it. It made them daring. Pushing the limits, how far could they go, how blatant could they be before he knew? It was almost a game, the thrill part of the insane attraction she felt each time he snuck in.
His strong arms were wrapped around her as she straddled his waist, kissing him. Every touch was languid and intentional, a searing passion that rippled her skin and left her mind empty. Kissing Luke always put her in a dreamy, blissful haze. Her fingers clawed at his shirt and he shrugged it off in one fluid motion, pulling her back in. His skin was warm, hers to explore. Julie grinned into the kiss. His fingers toyed with the hem of her top.
"Julie?"
They froze. Her dad. Other side of the door. Shit. Shit, shit, shit. As quietly as possible, the girl hoisted herself from his lap and motioned at her closet.
"Julie?" The door handle began to shake.
Her voice squeaked. "Just a second!" Luke tiptoes into her closet, Julie kicking his shirt under her bed as she ran to the door. Her flushed cheeks would be a dead giveaway had her father ever doubt her trust. Fortunately, Julie Molina was in the eyes of her family a perfect good girl.
(The guy hiding in her closet would whisper something else in her ear.)
"Why is your door locked?" Dad frowned. "You never lock your door."
Julie shrugged, innocence leaking from her tone. "I can't have some privacy?"
"Of course, Julie," he said, though his lips were pressed into a thin smile. This clearly wasn't the last time they'd talk about it. "I'm going to the store. Do you need something?"
"No, thanks," she rushed. "Anything else?"
"Uh, no. Don't lock yourself in, hm?" It was said as a joke, his brows lifted, but both she and her father knew he meant it. No more locking doors. Shit.
When the front door fell shut and the car rumbled into the street, Luke reappeared with a careful smile.
Julie sighed. "That… was close. Maybe we should stop hanging out right after school. I didn't even hear him coming up the stairs."
"Damn, Jules!” Peppering two kisses on her forehead, it did little to relief her stress. “Now that's an ego booster."
"I'm serious!" She huffed. "I hate this. I hate the rule and I hate that I'm making you put up with it."
"Hey, hey," he soothed. "It's shitty, yeah, but you're not making me do anything." Nodding at her lips, he added: "Your smile is already…"
The smile bloomed on its own accord when he trailed off, edging closer. "What?"
That little shake of his head almost made her kiss him, but she wanted to know what he was going to say, why his lips were parted in that wonderstruck expression. When nothing came, a curious hum rumbled in her throat as she placed her chin on his chest.
He relented, tapping a finger against her cheek. “Your smile is already making me do dumb stuff.”
Oh, God. If he was going to continue saying things like that, she might actually fall in love with him. Back when Julie and Flynn were still obsessed with those relationship quizzes in magazines, she always claimed she’d like guys that weren’t so smooth with their words. She thought it meant they were players. But Luke never half-assed anything.
Her head tilted, amused. “Do you always have words ready?”
“Zero words, Jules,” he quipped. “Ever.”
Yeah, she might actually love him.
Public dates became a thing after that conversation. She simply couldn’t let him get away because of some rule, even if he claimed he wouldn’t. Eats & Beats was a cute, little café in the heart of Los Feliz with live music and amazing lattes; it was also their regular spot. They’d settle themselves into a booth, share a baked good (“If we’re trying the carrot cake now, we’re doing the pastel de nata next week.” “Deal.”) and talk for hours. Sometimes, when either was tinkering on a song, they’d work on it together.
One leg overlapped his, his fingers drawing pictures on her knee. The booth with the suede red couches and the scratching of a star in the wood was their safe haven.
“Mh, no,” she swallowed the piece of muffin. “That’s such an ugly word, don’t use that.”
He grinned, shoulders nudging as a tease. “Drencher not doing it for you?”
A laugh bubbled up, kissing his cheek. “Just use ‘rain’, you dork!”
“Dork?”, he mocked, getting in her face.
“Yeah.” Her nose brushed his. “Dork.”
“You are a dork.”
“That’s the best you’ve got, Patterson?”
Luke smirked, eyes flicking across her frame. “Want me to show you my best, Molina?”
She pushed his face away, a blush creeping up her cheekbones. They haven’t done it yet, but whenever he got like this, she felt her entire skin heat up at the mere idea. A part of her wanted to take that step, but she felt bad doing it if her dad or tía didn’t know. Knowing that they wouldn’t support her for as long as the rule existed, made her settle with that heat for a little longer. Her leg slipped from his and turned back to his songbook.
“So-”
“Julie?”
The couple looked up, once more paralysed as her dad’s familiar voice called her name. Why was he literally everywhere?! His tall figure stood in front of their booth, his hat shrouding the grimace on his face as his scrutinising eyes flitted between them. Oh, God. Did he know? Did he see? How much did he see? Did he see Luke checking her out? Mortification didn’t even come close to what she felt.
“Dad!” Her pressed smile hopefully looked relaxed to him. Her dad had moments of obliviousness; she might be able to save this. “What- hi, I didn’t know you had a booking here.”
His suspicion didn’t waver. “Yeah, honey, for the Rodriguez’ - I told you last night. Was just getting, ah, coffee.” He nodded at Luke. “Who’s this?”
My boyfriend. The one I’m falling for. The boy I’ve been hiding for months. “This is Luke, he’s one of my classmates.” The way his arm tensed at the label made her ache, but she had to truck on. “We’re working on a song.”
If he didn’t believe her, she just hurt her boyfriend for no reason. It did the trick though. Her father’s face mellowed, noticing the scribbles in the tattered book. “You’re working on a song?”
“Yeah. It’s really getting along.” Her finger tapped against his thigh. “Right, Luke?”
He perked up, a cough following as he straightened his attitude. This really was not the way she wanted them to meet. “Uh, yeah.” His hand stuck out. “Hi, mister Molina.”
Dad shook it with a smile, fully relaxed now. “Ray. Nice to meet you.” The barista called out his name. “See you at home, Julie. Don’t stay out long, yeah?”
Her smile twitched and crashed the second he turned around, grabbed his coffee and closed the glass door. She groaned, dropping her head on his shoulder. “I’m so sorry.”
“I gotta be honest,” he whispered. “That hurt.”
“I’m sorry.”
Luke sighed. “I was okay being a secret before, but…”
She coaxed his jaw, needing him to look at her. “It’ll hurt more if I tell him and forces me to break up with you.”
For a moment, silence sunk onto the table, wedging itself like thick smoke between her and Luke. He seemed pensive, the green of his eyes peering. Suddenly, they lit up. “But wait, aren’t you getting your results? Early admission?”
She sagged in her seat, pouting. “If UCLA wants me.”
“They will,” he smiled. His arms wrapped around her. “Of course, they will. And if you get in, he can’t be mad that you’re dating me, right?”
Hope tinged her chest. She hasn’t considered that. She’s been so focused on Luke and trying to keep it hidden, that everything college-related went over her head. The letters and essays and interviews happened before she and Luke got serious, so with her being on that pink cloud ever since, school stress has been locked away. Why bother mulling over UCLA when she could be having fun with Luke?
If she locked in UCLA… then Luke might be right. And if not UCLA, then she’d hear of USC and NYU next year. (If they were even still together by the time those letters got in the mail.)
“You might’ve found the loophole,” she teased, hoping to lift the tension. And then she uttered out her biggest fear: “But if you haven’t… will you stay?”
His kiss answered her, soft and sweet and with a hint of blueberry muffin. A grin bloomed on her lips, burrowing her face in his shoulder. She felt it. That overflowing, unbridled adoration overwhelming her all at once. Julie loved him. It was April fourteenth and it only took her six months but Julie loved Luke. They stayed in the booth until they had to go home.
Her phone was mocking her. Luke and her were in her car, stagnant, as both stared at the white screen. Every few minutes, she refreshed it, yet no email came. Gah! Couldn’t colleges just send the email when they said they would? What was taking so long? Did that mean she didn’t get in? Was this a bad sign? It helped having Luke there, easing the rising stress that clenched her ribcage, but she wouldn’t be fully okay until that freaking email come through.
As if sensing her thoughts, he drummed against the dashboard. “It’s gonna be cool. You look great in blue and gold, you gotta get in.”
She giggled, nerves lacing her tone. “Imagine if that’s how you got in. You’d get into USC then.”
“Are you saying I look hot in red?”, he teased.
“You know you- oh my God!” She lurched for her phone as a new email pinged in, heartbeat stuttering in her ears. Frozen, her thumb hovered over the fated email. This would change everything - for better or for worse. She knew she should focus on the fact that it would determine where she’d go to college, but all she could think about was Luke, Luke, Luke. Was it selfish to care more about junior prom then UCLA? At this very moment, she thought it was completely justified.
She shook her head. “I can’t. I can’t do it. You open it.”
His brows raised. “You sure?”
“Yeah-” She stuffed the phone in his hand and put her trembling ones on her lap. “-do it for me.”
Luke took a deep breath. Julie shut her eyes. Please. Please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please accept her. Please let her be with Luke.
Ten seconds passed. His voice gave nothing away. “Julie?”
“Just rip the band-aid off,” she choked out.
A familiar, calloused hand softly grabbed hers. Her eyes cracked open. Luke had the biggest smile on his face and it made her heart pop out of her chest. She bit down on her lip, fighting off a grin. “Don’t play with me.”
“I’m not,” he sang, reaching across the console to show her phone. You got accepted! blinked in bold, black letters. “You’re UCLA bound, baby!”
Euphoria burst out. Julie squealed, throwing her arms around his neck and pulled him in for a searing kiss. She got in! She fucking got into college! A great one at that! Another Molina was going for gold!
And it might even get her to date Luke without secrecy. God, she hoped this was enough. She wanted to do everything with him. All the time, the entire time. Flynn has called them clingy, but Julie just wanted to get rid of the anxiety of her dad finding out. To finally relax and be fully with him.
Her head tilted, bashful. “Is it crazy to say that I might be in love with you?”
He dropped her phone in the cupholder and peppered another kiss on her mouth. “No. That’s good.” His thumb traced her bottom lip, eyes glittering with adoration. “Cause I’m pretty sure I’m in love with you too.”
She pecked his thumb, giddy. “Fuck it. Let’s tell my dad right now. About UCLA and you.”
He smiled. “You sure?”
“One hundred percent.”
Storming inside the house, the couple made a beeline to her dad’s office, his hand in hers.
“Dad!”, she called out, door slamming open. Her startled father perked up in his seat, his wide eyes going from Julie to Luke right behind her. “I got into UCLA!”
Ray sprung up, cheering. “Mija-!”
“And I’m dating Luke!”, she yelled after. “And that’s okay, cause I got in, so you don’t have to worry about the rule anymore! So... ” She put her foot down, awkwardness creeping in her tone. “Yeah!”
Flabbergasted, dad faltered and let the cheers die in his throat. Luke came to stand next to her, squeezing her hand. Slowly, he nodded. “Ah… so that time in Eats & Beats-”
“A date,” she admitted. “And I’m sorry I went behind your back, papa, but I… really care about Luke. And we figured that if I got in, you’d stop enforcing the dating rule.”
His grap became even tighter. “I, uh, really care about her too,” Luke mustered. “Sorry that we kept it a secret.”
Ray sighed, propping his head in his hands and scrubbing the confusion away with his palms. The pair shot each other a look. He wasn’t mad, she deduced, so that was a good sign at least. Finally, dad moved again and gave her a tight hug. Her confidence grew, hugging him back and withholding a cry of victory.
He pulled back, crossing his arms with a hint of amusement. “Well… the rule clearly didn’t work, but you seem happy and you- you did actually get in, right?”
She laughed, nodding, and showed the confirmation email. His smile grew. “Then I guess,” he trailed, “you’re allowed. To date. But no funny business!”
Julie quickly nodded, grabbing back onto Luke’s arm and jostling him in excitement. Luke bounced on his heels, trying to temper it but failing miserably. She thanked her dad, promised him they’d celebrate her acceptance later tonight and rushed back out with Luke. Dad yelled something about establishing new rules, but both gleefully ignored it. Once in her bedroom, he snatched her into a tight embrace, kissing her full on the lips. Julie whooped against his mouth and danced between his arms. This might be the best day of her life! Luke was her real real real boyfriend!
“You heard your dad, Jules,” he teased. “No funny business.”
She pouted, faux-peeved. “You won’t get to climb through my window again.”
“Won’t have to hide in cars anymore.”
“Won’t have to say you’re just my classmate.”
Luke dragged them onto her bed, laying side by side. “I can take you to junior prom.”
She kissed him with a giggle. “You’re taking me to prom?”
“Hell yeah, I am!”, he bellowed, drumming his fingers against her hips. “Let your dad take pictures of us and everything.”
She scrunched her nose. “Let’s maybe not push him just yet.”
“Yeah,” he exhaled, humming in agreement. “You’re probably right.”
Luke did that her to junior prom, to homecoming, to senior prom, called her hot in blue and gold and vetoed no when she begged him for a bright, blue velour couch for their first apartment. When someone asked her father what it was like, seeing his daughter find the one at sixteen, he had to admit with embarrassment red on his cheeks that it all flew under his radar.
That it all started with sneaky bleacher kisses and a hopeful heart.

A Suna Rintarou Series |
Summary: Suna was the best boyfriend you could ask for, after fighting with your inner demons that screamed you were ugly, worthless, and annoying. You finally decided to go the next step with your boyfriend, only to find out it was all a game.
AN: PART 6 lol after the last chspter i knew I had to give you some suna vs tsumu content
Warnings: underaged drinking, smut, guys talking badly about women, heartbreak, messed up shit that you shouldn’t do and a bit of fluff if you squint
Tumblr media
Disc three-slide two: Miya Atsumu 🏐
The two second years silently watched as Y/N walked away and was bombarded by her best friend. “What are you doing, ‘Tsumu?” Suna asked, “Well I mean, Jamie did say that I had a better chance at getting with her than you.” He had a mischievous smirk on his face. “You think treating her with kindness is gonna get you somewhere and I think the complete opposite. I’ll seduce her and eventually she’ll fall for me.” He shrugged. This definitely pissed off Suna. You were his, not Atsumu’s.
Suna to a step near Atsumu, grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and brought him close. “I’m only going to tell you this once. Stay away. She’s mine already, you lost. Eventually she’ll come crawling to me.” He said lowly and shoved the twin away. Suna turned and walked to class and never looked back.
Atsumu chuckled and then quickly apologized to the people around him who saw the whole encounter. His fangirls came up and asked if he was okay but he shrugged them off and said he was fine.
Atsumu went to his locker to grab his stuff and headed to class. He couldn’t stop thinking about your chubby cheeks and your flushed face. Suna was right, you did seem like a goody two shoes, and you didn’t seem so uptight like Suna hypothesized. It was obvious how innocent you were because any little thing made your face turn into a darker shade and Atsumu felt something in his chest. It wasn’t love he knew that for a fact. It felt a little bit like lust and desire. An infatuation if you will.
If only I saw you first
He was pretty annoyed you were in Suna’s class and not in his or else Atsumu would have sweeped you off your feet already. He wanted to see what was under your uniform, what sounds you made, how inexperienced you were so Atsumu could play with you. But you “weren’t” his. You belonged to Suna.
But if Atsumu could convince you to leave pussy bangs for him then he’ll make sure you’ll get treated right. Like how a proper princess should. Atsumu could fake being your Prince Charming if that’s what you wanted. All he wanted to see was you in his jersey with cute white panties and probably some thigh high socks.
He wondered how you would look with your hair down since it was up in a ponytail and how it would feel between his fingers. Whether that be pulling it while pounding you or brushing it out of your face during aftercare.
Tumblr media
“I swear you could cut the tension with a knife in here.” Osamu pointed out as he walked in between his brother and his best friend. “Not my fault Suna is the jealous type.” Atsumu muttered. “Bold of you to assume I’m jealous, I just don’t want you touching and eye fucking what’s mine.” Suna shot back. “So you’re finally dating her?” Osamu asked as they stepped into the club room. “Yeah on the date I made a bet with her, she lost. I won, like always. And now she’s my girlfriend.” Suna emphasized on the my and glanced at Atsumu. “I honestly wasn’t going to say anything until I saw how freaking cute she is. Now I’m down to see who will win.” Atsumu declared.
“You’re both lame.” Osamu muttered and left them behind after he finished changing, just so he can get another glance of Suna’s cute little girlfriend.
The three second years saw how you got along with the coach and how you helped him and Kita out with little things here and there during their practice. Right now you were collecting some scattered balls, they were warming up for their practice match today and Atsumu saw you on the opposite side of the court as he practiced his serves.
He wanted to scare you to see your cute reaction. So while you were talking to Kita who was at a distance with a ball in your hands and a smile grazing your face. He tossed the ball up, and jumped but at that moment you took a few steps back right where he was about to hit. And before he could do anything he accidentally hit the ball directly at you. Everything was almost like in slow motion.
This wasn’t part of the plan, he didn’t want to hurt you at all. He knew he was gonna get an earful and he’d have to apologize for hurting you.
“Y/N watch out—“ You heard and turned your head to see the ball coming your way. Before you could even think you dropped the ball in your hands and slightly did a split step back to receive it.
Growing up you and your cousin were both in love with volleyball. It definitely had something to do with your grandfather. He had taught you and Tobio how to play since before you both could even walk. Photos of a one year old you and a few month old Tobio trying to eat a volleyball was always something your grandpa used to tease you both about. (He kept a picture in his wallet)
You and Tobio both became setters in elementary and middle school but when your grandpa suddenly passed away you lost that passion to play and decided it would be best to quit then bring the team down. Tobio became angry very quickly when things didn’t go his way and both of your personalities turned 180. Everything went even more down hill when your parents suddenly moved Hyōgo and you went to Inarizaki instead of Shiratorizawa in Miyagi like how you and Tobio planned on going.
And since you were used to not running from the ball, the most logical thing to do was to receive it. “DID YOU SEE THAT?!” You turned excitedly to Kita. “I haven’t played in almost two years and I still did an amazing receive!” Your face lit up and the twins as well as Suna had the pikachu meme face. “I didn’t know you knew how to play.” Ojiro told you. “My grandpa showed me when I was younger but I decided not to join when I started highschool so I could focus more on my education.” You half lied.
Atsumu was pleased to see your excited face and decided it was better than seeing a scared reaction.

"Not So Cold After All" Live Band Mini Setlist
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As Jesy, Perrie, Leigh-Anne and Jade seat Laura, Jax, Beca and I, Jade and I catch a glimpse at each other and she gives a small wave at me. Not thinking of how to greet her back, I wink at her. I look at Laura and she gives me a face. A face I recognize as her saying; "Get her b**ch!" I kick her leg and and winces but tries not to make it noticeable.
"So along with out supporting group," the tour manager starts, "As for the final show of the tour tonight, the girls and myself would like to showcase our live bands' skills."
Laura and I are taken aback, whilst Jax and Becca are all for the idea.
"So like...." Laura questions, "Each and every one of us plays a song of our choosing?"
"Thats correct," Jade answers, "You okay with that?"
"Yeah I was thinking we'd play a whole song together as a band, that plays instruments," she replies
Not knowing how to properly word it, Laura leaves it at that.
"What if, I’m just thinking out loud here. We end up doing a short setlist?" I ask, noticing Jade look at me like I'm insane
"Thats fine by me," Tour Manager says, "Good thinking."
“Are you singing Y/N?” Jade asks
“Oh, good heavens no,” I answer, “I don’t sing. That’s all to Laura.”
Once the meeting was finished, I begin walking back to my car to the hotel Laura and I were staying in, I feel a tap on my shoulder.
"Hey you," Jade says as I turn around
"Hey," I say, smiling
This is the first time she actually has come up to me in years. We've caught glimpses of each other during shows, rehearsals and we'd both greet each other at the same time but neither of us had the chance to really catch up.
"You maybe want to grab some lunch on the way back to the hotel?" She asks
I look to Laura for an approval and she... Again gives me that same face from earlier.
"Sure," I smile
I hop into the driver's seat as Jade gets into the passenger seat. Laura hops in the back, hijacking the aux chord. She puts on some acapella music and the both of us jam out while Jade laughs at us.
As soon as we got back to the hotel, I tell both Laura and Jade to eat without me, that I need to go talk to Jax and Becca. I go knock on her door.
"What’s up shorty?" She laughs
"Very funny," I chuckle, "How would you two feel about performing a three part setlist for our little portion of the show?"
"Really?" She asks
I nod,  "Well, I think having 3 songs that feature all of us is a cool idea and the encore song could be a song I really like and I think it'd fit and it would show how well we can all sound as a band. Though we aren't really a band. Also, I think I'm going to sing lead for this one. I have to talk to Laura about that."
"So you want us to help you so you can impress your crush?" She asks
I nod, blushing at the fact Jade is my crush, “Don’t tell her I’m going to sing lead.”
"We're in and your secret’s safe with us," she smiles, "Did you tell Laura yet?"
"Not yet," I answer, "Jade's in there."
We fist bump and I go back to my room, where Jade and Laura are almost finished eating, but they put on some music.
"What'd you talk to Jax for?" Laura asks
"Nothing special," I say
I seat myself next to Jade and begin eating. As I listen to Jade and Laura talk about our beginnings and how Laura and I started out as a band.
"Wait," Jade starts, "You two were drunk?!"
I nod in agreement as I almost choke on my food. As I look at Jade, a spark flies across my body as her thumb gently runs across my cheek. She giggles as she licks the piece of lettuce (and mayo) right off her thumb. I shake my gawk off and laugh with her.
"So you're called-"
"Saints of Starlight," I answer
"That's actually a pretty dope name," she smiles
"Thank Y/N for that one," Laura states, "She was high off her ass and she managed to spot that name for us."
"Somehow I was conscious enough for that," I smile, finishing my food
We end up playing a game of "Cards against Humanity" and so far Laura is in the lead: I’m horrible at card games. Games in general.
By the time we nearly get through all of the cards, a knock comes onto our door.
"Jade?" Jesy calls from the other side of the door
"Yeah Jess?" She calls back
"You ready to go?" She asks
And it hit Jade, she was supposed to get dressed for a birthday party for Leigh-Anne.
"Is Y/N and Laura invited?" Jade asks
"Jade," I whisper, "We don't have to go. It'll be fine."
"Oh for sure," Leigh-Anne says
Jade gets up and helps us clean up the cards before going to her room to change into a nice outfit. Laura and I do the same. I manage to shove on my 2019 indoor drumline season uniform; 1940s style detective outfit. Suspenders n all. However, the only thing that didn't go with my fit were my shoes. They were Doc Marten brand boots. However, I believed it was a nice subtle touch to my black m white outfit. I wait outside the door for Laura and for Jade.
"Oh well Y/N can sure clean up nice," Jesy teases, "Jade's gonna have a kick looking at that." Jesy points to all of me as Jade comes walking down the hall.
"Y/N?" Jade calls out
I turn to her. I smile and wave over to her as Laura opens the door and reveals a casual-formal outfit.
"You sure look nice Y/N," Jade blushes as she catches up to us
"You too," I say, "Well, you look beautiful."
We follow the rest of the Little Mix members and Laura out to hail a cab to a bar that Jesy, Perrie and Jade had rented out for the evening.  There was barely enough room for all of us to fit into the cab. As I seat myself next to Jesy, Jade hops right into my lap.
"A little warning next time," I gasp, but laugh
"Sorry," she smiles, "Your lap is the only good seat in here."
My face turns into a ball of flame as I look at Jade, who laughs at my face. Two can play at that Game. Her guard was down as I slowly and gently coil my fingers around Jade's waist as the cab driver drives off. I look up at Jade's face and it was just like mine not even 20 seconds ago. I laugh as do Jesy, Perrie and Leigh-Anne. Laura gave me "the look" as I subtly make and "ok" with my hand.
We reach the bar and its practically filled with party-goers and we walk upstairs to a VIP room and I seat myself next to Jade.
"You really know how to pull some strings to get us a room," Leigh-Anne says to her girls
"We are extra," Perrie states
We order a couple of drinks and within those said drinks, I notice Jesy already drunk. She begins ranting on about how much fun everything is and how excited she is to see Laura and I play for them.
"Yeah what do you guys have planned?" Jade asks, looking intently at me
"Well," I clear my throat, "You lot are just going to have to see."
I look at Laura to not spoil anything and that I'll explain to her later once we head back to the hotel.
After helping Jesy to her hotel room and getting her to drink water and eat bread and get her to bed, I help Jade get to hers.
"You know," Jade starts, "You're really fun to hang out with. Why haven't we done that more often?"
"Well," I start, "You were always cold to me and always turned down my invitations to hang out. Though, that never phased me and I've always kept on trying to get you to hang out with me." I look over to Jade, who's clearly looks and feels guilty.
"Well," I add, "Like I said, it never really hurt me when you turned them down. That's because you saved me."
Jade again looks up at me.
"Do you remember when there were bullies in elementary school and you always managed to scare them off. Little did you know that little kid you saved-"
"Was you?" She asks
I nod, "However, when we did finally become friends, you ended up going to audition for Britain's got Talent? Or something like that. So I guess you ended up forgetting about me. But then again, I moved to America."
"Sorry love," she says, "A lot of people come and go in my life. However, you're the first one who came back around."
"Yeah," I sigh, "Well, goodnight. See you tomorrow."
Before I stand to leave her room, she wraps her arms around my waist and her face pressed gently against my back.
"Thank you," she says before her grip loosening on me
"Always," I say, leaving her room
As I close the door to my hotel room with Laura, she looks at me.
“Okay, listen," I say, "So I already talked to Jax and Becca, and they agreed that we do a 3-song setlist when they want us to perform."
"So," Laura asks, "Are you singing lead or am I?"
"That's a good question," I say, "Well, I arranged the mini setlist and I have this."
I show Laura the mini setlist I made on my YouTube page and she nods in agreement to play this setlist for tomorrow.
"I just want to sing the last song," I suggest, "That one specifically is basically saying what could have been with someone."
"Oh so is that song gonna be for Jade?" She asks, making "that look"
"Yeah," I exhale, “Also, don’t tell Jade I'm going to sing the last song.”
"Okay," Laura answers
We both head to bed, for the big night tomorrow; showcasing a live band.
I catch Jade just about to leave her hotel room and she waits for me as I catch up to her.
"Sleep alright?" I ask
She nods, "Hungry?" She holds up a banana and a breakfast muffin
"Yeah, thanks love," I say, taking the items, "You know, bananas are a great source of potassium. I always eat one before I do a competition. Both high school marching band and indoor winter percussion."
"You did all of those?" She asks. I nod
"When I did my first year of marching band I got talked into doing indoor percussion for the winter time. Best decision ever," I say, hopping into a cab with Jade following suit
"You have to tell me how you did all of them and if you have any good stories," Jade smiles
"Well," I smile, "I have many stories that can be saved for another night."
Jade pouts as we exit the cab to enter the venue. Fans and paparazzi immediately circle around Jade, nearly pushing me out of the way to get to her.
"Y/N!" Jade calls out
I nearly wrestle a couple of fans and paparazzi and reach out for Jade. I feel a strong tug and Jade buries herself into my jacket. I hold Jade close as fans begin to make a path for her and I to walk into the venue.
"You guys are chaotic," I say, glaring at the Paparazzi specifically
I push the doors to walk inside, "You alright?"
Jade nods as she lets go of me and walks over to her girls.
"I saw that," Laura teases, "What happened out there anyway?"
"A bunch of fans and paparazzi," I answer, "They practically pushed me away from Jade."
"You fought people?" She asks
"No, I was close to though," I reply, "I just was sick of fans and paparazzi not giving the girls space."
Laura nods as their tour manager comes up to us, "Jade needs time to cool down so go ahead and rehearse first you guys."
"How is she?" I ask
"Shaken up but she'll be alright," he answers
I sigh in relief, having temptation to go check on her, but I assure myself that Jesy, Perrie and Leigh-Anne have gotten Jade calmed down. I go back to rehearsal.
"Jade," Jesy calls out, bringing me back
Jade's POV
As I inhale and exhale, Jesy, Perrie and Leigh-Anne comforting me, I could hear a singing voice. Is it Becca? Laura? Even Y/N? No, Y/N even said it herself, she doesn't sing.
"Yeah?" I look at her
"You feeling better love?" She asks and I nod
I continue listening to that singing voice. Regardless if it was either Becca, Laura or even Y/N, they're bloody talented.
"Do you hear that voice out on stage?" I ask the girls
"Yeah," Perrie answers, "That voice is bloody f**clinging talented."
"Do you think it's Y/N?" Leigh-Anne suggests
"It couldn't be," I smile, "Y/N told me she doesn't sing. She only does backing vocals. But she never sings lead."
"If you say so Jade," she replies
"Just wait until Jade sees you," Laura teases
Y/N's POV
I sing the last line with Laura and Becca. I stop the sound of my bass and wipe sweat from the sides of my head with my shirt and begin stripping. I tuck my shirt in my back pocket.
"Shut the f**k up Laura," I laugh, "I'm toasty. Okay, so how do we feel about that?"
I get OK's from everyone and I put on a song from one of my playlists, having a gut feeling Jade is going to come back any moment, I don't sing. I didn’t even intentionally pick the song; Black Magic by Little Mix. Instinctively, we all manage to play through however long we decided to play until we were moved to the back for Little Mixs’ rehearsal.
 I put on my button down shirt and leave a couple of buttons unbuttoned, to give my lesbian look. I tuck my shirt into my pants and roll up my sleeves. I roll them up just enough for them to not interfere with my hands.
“Jesy was right,” Jade says
I look up and smile.
“You really do clean up nicely,” She adds, walking toward me
“Might as well look good for the occasion,” I reply back, “And you look exquisite.”
I see Jade’s cheeks flush a deep pink as she comes even closer, “Would you want to get dinner after the show tonight?”
“Wouldn’t it be late?” I ask
“Some places here are open late too,” She replies back, hugging me from behind
“I’m down,” I reply, lacing my fingers with hers
“If you’re gonna get it on, get a separate room and keep it quiet,” Laura teases from the doorway
“Laura shut up,” I sigh
“Band’s warming up Y/N,” Laura finally says
Jade lets go of my hips and she places a kiss onto my cheek, “Good luck Y/N.”
“You too Jade,” I reply, returning the same kiss, but onto her forehead
As the lights go down and the fans cheer.... Not only for Little Mix, but us too.
"Hey guys, we're Little Mixs' live band. We are so honored to be playing as an actual band for their tour as well." Laura says into the microphone
Laura begins singing the first verse as I slide my left hand up the bass neck to where I need to go for it. At the song’s climax, I watch Laura hit the high note Colby Benson usually sings when she sings this particular song live. Laura turns to me as the fans scream and cheer for that high note and I cheer too. I look to the side stage as the women of Little Mix watch us hype the crowd. I wink particularly at Jade.
 When Laura sings the last note of the second song, she steps away from the mic as I step in her place.
“This song,” I start, “Is no original, but by one of the coolest girl bands in California. But this goes out to a special person. Although we never dated and never had those ups and downs of a relationship, I felt something between us two. That was a long time ago however, the both of us drifted apart in that time. We were both the ones that got away, but, she showed up into my life again. And that something I began feeling for her, came back.”
Jade’s POV
I watch as Y/N gives her speech. I felt Jesy touch my shoulder, as I begin to think of who that person was in Y/N’s life all that time ago.
Y/N’s POV
I subtly turn my head to side stage, using my eyes to further my eye contact and Jade meets mine. I smile at her and turn my head to the microphone
I listen to Becca as she plays the opening riff. Jax begins playing her drum part;
Oh no, I'm feeling you watching me
Same way you did when we were seventeen
Dim lights, this bar was alright
Until I saw a ghost of you
I look to Becca and she nods, hinting that I’m doing a good job thus far, I inhale and exhale, close my eyes for a split second and open my eyes.
You tried to pull me closer
I start to fall again
Tell me you still remember
'Cause I remember
Jax has us enter the chorus as we begin getting into the music.
Baby, we were fire in the rain
Burning through the night just to fade
When you say, "I could have loved you longer"
Who knows where we could have gone?
It's a lie if we stay
Living for the past and the pain
When you say, "I could have loved you longer"
Who knows where we could have gone?
As I continue singing on through the song, I look over to Jesy, Jade, Perrie and Leigh-Anne as they watch me sing; they look like they’ve just seen a ghost, but then cheer me on. Except for Jade; whose arms are against her chest, smiling excessively at me. I smile back.
Who knows what we should have done?
(Who knows) Who knows where we could have gone?
(Who knows) Who knows what we would have done?
(Who knows, who knows?)
The crowd cheers as I hit the high note and I notice from the corner of my eye that the girls were cheering too.
You tried to pull me closer
I start to fall again
Tell me you still remember
Where we could have gone, whoa, oh
As I sing the last note with Laura and Becca, Jesy, Jade, Perrie and Leigh-Anne run onto the stage as I walk back to put my bass on my stand. Jade in particular looks at me.
Who knows what we should have done?
(Who knows) Who knows where we could have gone?
(Who knows) Who knows what we would have done?
(Who knows, who knows?)
(Who knows) Who knows what we should have done?
(Who knows) Who knows where we could have gone?
(Who knows) Who knows what we would have done?
(Who knows, who knows?)
“You did a bang up job Y/N!” Jesy screams into her microphone
“I thought you didn’t sing?” Perrie asks
“Listen,” I smile, “I wanted to surprise y’all.”
It worked too, Little Mix was thoroughly impressed.
As we go into an interlude to give us a small break and for Little Mix to change into their encore outfits, I notice Jade was tense.
“You’re usually hyper love,” I say, sitting next to her, “What’s wrong?”
“I don’t know,” she says, “My family isn’t here. They always come to our shows.”
Before I could say anything, Jade’s phone rings. She immediately picks it up and answers.
“Hello?” she asks through the phone
I couldn’t hear what was going on on her phone, but I could tell Jade was getting even more tense. Jesy, Perrie and Leigh-Anne try to comfort her but to no avail.
“Would any of you be mad if I leave?” Jade asks, “It’s a family emergency.”
Immediately the girls said yes. However, the tour manager was reluctant.
“Laura and I could do something,” I suggest, “We explain to the fans what’s going on and why Jade isn’t on stage. The fans are sure to understand Jade.”
Laura agrees with me, as do Jax and Becca. I follow Jade to help her out with getting her out of her outfit to change back into her outside clothing. I follow Jade out through the back as I hail a cab.
“I might have to take a raincheck on that dinner date Y/N,” Jade says, sorrowfully, “I also might not see you off tomorrow either. I was really hoping to spend more time with you and-”
“Don’t worry about that right now Jade,” I force a smile, “Just go make sure whomever family member is okay. Do that for me.”
She nods as I close the door for her. I watch the cab drive off into the cityscape. I could feel an overwhelming need to sob my eyes out however, nothing came out.
“Y/N!” Laura says running out the door, “You okay?”
I force myself to nod, “Yeah-Yeah I’m fine.”
“The fans agreed to having a one-song encore, featuring Saints of Starlight,” Laura states
I nod as she walks back into the door while I take one last glimpse of the cityscape Jade disappeared into and then force myself to step back into the venue.
 The encore goes well, however, most fans left but we understood that. It was a quiet drive back to the hotel as all of us just go to our hotel rooms.
“You're clearly not okay Y/N,” Laura states, “Spill it.”
“I understand her situation but,” I start, “I just feel like my 10 year old self again when I moved to the states. Missing Jade but, I feel that this is more sad…”
“You two were going to catch up finally?” Laura questions
To which I nod, “I don’t know if Who Knows gave Jade the hint.”
“You know what?” Laura asks, “We’ve had a long day and we’re about to have another. Why don’t we rest up?”
I take Laura’s suggestion and lie in bed.

Part 1 | Part 2
A/N: enjoy cas and dean being cute little dopes in my trademark “everything’s okay, nobody’s suffering, nobody’s been traumatized AU.”
___________________________
This is not Dean and Cas’ first date.
That was a diner at midnight, visited on a whim after leaving the friendly gathering where they’d just met.
A few nights after that was a nice Italian restaurant, candlelit, expensive. Dean had insisted. Overcompensation for the cheap and greasy first meal.
Their third date was another trip to that first diner—Cas’ choice, because he never minded cheap or greasy food—which continued into the night, spent entangled in different rooms of Dean’s apartment.
And since they spent every hour together into the following morning, and afternoon, and evening… then this deep-evening wine-and-chat session where they’ve found themselves entangled once again on Dean’s thrifted couch… could it still be considered their third date, or has the turn of a new day made this date their fourth?
Dean’s being pedantic, he decides, and turns his attention back to his living room, where he and Cas are in the middle of the “Question Game.”
“What’s your most unpopular opinion?” Dean asks.
“I’m very tired of superhero movies.”
Dean makes a face like he hates this answer. Cas continues.
“But, I do think there should be more Superman movies. He was my favourite superhero as a child, and….” He trails off, sighs lightly. “I just want some Superman.”
Dean nods, smirks, wags his eyebrows.
“Don’t we all,” he teases.
Cas smacks Dean’s ankle where it’s laying in Cas’ lap and they snicker.
Dean takes a swig of his wine, then, oh what the hell, finishes the glass.
He’s really not a wine drinker, has never been. But Cas went on and on about fancy wine-talk over their second date, so Dean stocked up. And he has to admit, the buzz he feels is far, far friendlier than what he’s used to from his other vices.
He knocks Cas’ torso with his waggling foot.
“Your turn. Ask me.”
Cas has not taken an eye off him, has been smirking right at him.
“Do you have a Kryptonite?”
“Pie,” Dean says immediately, almost before the question is finished being asked, like he’s been waiting for anyone to ask him this question for his whole life.
“Or burgers,” he surprises himself by saying, then scrunches his face in thought. “No. It’s definitely pie.”
Cas laughs, shakes his head. Decides to prod.
“Okay, but, for real.”
Dean falters.
“What do you mean?”
Cas shifts to better face Dean. Sighs.
“You just seem so… impenetrable—“
Dean makes a funny face at that, indicating Cas should know from the previous night that he sure is not—
Cas doesn’t let him get away with it. He acknowledges the silent joke with a smirk and a glint in his eye, but moves right along.
“Surely there is a way to break through that armour. Take you down a notch?”
Under any other circumstance, Dean would never, ever, ever even entertain the idea of answering this question.
But he’s plenty wine-drunk. The alcohol has burned through most of his cement-wall defences. And he likes this Castiel guy and can’t believe how deeply he trusts him already…. so he stares at his own feet and fumbles his way through an answer.
“You have to promise you’re not gonna use it against me.” He chews on his lip as a smile fights for control of his features.
“Ever?” Cas asks, spotting Dean’s rising blush and so hoping the answer will be some form of ‘not never.’
“At least not tonight.”
Cas nods, grins. “Deal.”
He can’t believe he’s considering saying this. And he sure can’t believe he’s about to say it while Cas has got Dean’s susceptible feet laying in his lap.
But he does say it. Out loud. Shares his Kryptonite with this near-stranger, wincing as he speaks like it hurts to admit, but there’s that hint of a smirk creeping through his expression.
“I’m stupid ticklish.”
Cas lifts his eyebrows and is already re-shifting his position on the couch in a dangerous way, asking, “Really?“ in a far too enthusiastic tone.
And Dean is already laughing gently, already on the defence, pulling his feet from Cas’ lap, holding a hand up like a (sort of unsure-looking, if he’s honest) stop sign.
“You said you wouldn’t—!”
Cas laughs, says, “I won’t,” a few times, placatingly. But the way he’s holding onto the moment has Dean feeling hesitant to relax.
“But… I don’t know….” Cas continues, brow suddenly furrowed in concentration.
He clears his throat, shakes his right arm, rolls that shoulder a few times.
“Something strange is happening to my hand….”
They both look toward the right hand Cas is cradling, all tensed and claw-like, in the nest he’s made of his left palm.
Cas smirks, plays innocent at the same time, then shouts as his hand begins to tremble.
“I seem to be losing control over it…!”
And swiftly he moves to hover over Dean who is swallowing the early stages of his laughter, scooting back, curling up, crossing his arms over his torso.
“Hey! We had a deal!” he says, the words leaping jovially from his throat.
Cas looks into the room behind Dean and seems to find something that makes him smirk.
“Alright. Not tonight,” he says, then clambers smugly off Dean and back into his own seat.
Dean is a little discombobulated, and maybe more than a little disappointed, but he rights himself and shakes off the moment.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Just more than an hour later, the two are standing side by side in the kitchen, cleaning up their discarded dinner dishes.
Dean is washing, Cas is drying, and they are standing so much closer than is necessary—each being so eager for the electricity that comes with brushing skin. Craving that certain high that wafts through the air at their moments of accidental contact is turning their task from menial to something they’re absolutely revelling in.
They’re comfortable in near-silence; the cutlery tinkling and water running provides them a calm soundtrack.
Cas keeps looking past Dean to where the microwave clock is glowing green. After one particular glance, he smirks to himself and wipes his hands on his dish-drying towel, then hands it to Dean and tells him plainly to do the same.
Dean tilts his head, starts to gesture to the dishes yet to be washed, but Cas insists. Dean complies but wears his confusion across his every feature.
When he hands the cloth back, Cas folds it slowly, carefully, methodically, and places it down on the counter, smoothing his palm over it once. He saunters over to stand behind Dean, who is trying to cover his curiosity by pretending he’s still concerned about the remaining dishes.
Dean is shushed by Cas pressing his nose into the dip where Dean’s neck slopes into shoulder. When Cas’ breath huffs against Dean’s tender skin, it makes him grip the edge of the sink. When Cas’ lips brush soft and purposeful up toward Dean’s jaw, he can feel the muscles of Dean’s throat working around a gulp. When Cas’ hands wrap around his torso from behind, explore up his chest, Dean’s knees just barely buckle.
Dean rights himself and tries to pretend it didn’t happen. But Cas is already grinning into Dean’s skin, letting out a pleased breath. He angles one hand to curl around Dean’s shoulder, the other wraps around the front of his waist, and Dean is so gooey-pliable right now, Cas can slow-dance him around until they’re both facing the microwave clock.
It’s 12:01 a.m.
And Dean’s first thought is not to run.
It is: So, is this our fifth date, now? Or still the third?
Bless him—he’s had his share of wine.
Cas whispers helpfully in Dean’s ear:
“It’s tomorrow, Superman.”

I wanna write a long multi chapter fic about Jack and Shitty becoming friends but also I don’t have the mental bandwidth right now so instead I’m just gonna blurt out a long bulletpoint fic so bare with me
Okay so Shitty B. Knight arrives to Samwell hungry for life and friends and finally some fucking air to breathe and be himself away from his conservative family
And it is fucking great, okay? From the get go he finds that his loud left wing talk is welcomed here, he gets to joke around and be as weird as he wants and no one cares
He hits it off pretty quickly with nearly everyone in the team. Sure, Johnson is a little weird and keeps talking about this merely being the “prologue of someone else’s story” but what he’s really curious about is the quiet Canadian guy that barely talks to anyone
Now, Shitty knows about Jack Zimmermann. Obviously. You have to grow up under a rock to not know about Bad Bob and his kid.
He also knows what happened. It must be a sore subject.
Is that why he’s so quiet?
It’s not that Shitty makes Jack a project. Not really. It’s that Shitty has been in a place where he felt lonely and out of place before and it sucked ass. He wants to help.
So he tries. Constantly.
Because Shitty sees the spark hiding behind the ice cold facade. He sees the way Jack’s face lights up in the rink, how loud and youthfully he celebrates cellys, how protective of others he is in the ice.
That’s a guy he WANTS to be friends with.
Except he can’t. After every training, Jack shuts back up
“Hey, Jaques, wanna go grab a bite?” “Thanks but I should sleep. We got an early day tomorrow.”
“My man, Zimmermann, lets go to that fucking party across campus!” “I’d rather not.”
“Hey, let’s celebrate this fucking win!” “I was actually gonna watch the game tonight. There was a play there that keeps bothering me.”
Anything that isn’t hockey is an instant No from Jack but Shitty is too stubborn to give up.
“Hey, Jack, I was going to train a bit extra on Sunday. Care to join me? You could teach me some of those sick moves.” “Sure.”
VICTORY. Sort of. Working out extra with Jack is exhausting, physically and mentally because Shitty keeps trying to come up with jokes and keeping up 90% of the conversation.
It takes nearly a month until Jack agrees to grab a bite after their Sunday skate and Shitty is so fucking beat that he nearly falls asleep on his burger.
“Hey, Shits, nice ketchup mustache,” Jack chirps him suddenly. And it’s the smallest, dumbest possible thing but Shitty laughs a little too loud and Jacks shoulders seem to lose a bit of that perpetual tension he’s always carrying.
It gets better after that. Slowly, painstakingly, but Shitty finds himself enjoying Jack’s company more and more.
He’s a genuinely good bro. He listens, even when he’s just grunting along time Shitty’s monologues, and he asks questions that shows that he actually cares, every now and then. It’s odd, being taken seriously.
By the end of their first semester, Jack and Shitty are spending a lot of time together. Which is why he asks him to come to the art kids party where Larissa is going to be.
Who? “Brah, Larissa Duan? Just the coolest fucking chick ever! I told you about her the other day, man. She said we should come over to this thing and I would go, but I know shit about art and I would rather not go along and bring my best fucking bro with me.”
After the word vomit he worries that maybe he pushed too far, judging by the way Jack freezes and stares at him like a deer on headlights. But then Jack sighs and says “fine, I’ll go,” and Shitty whoops with excitement
The party goes better than Shitty could’ve ever dreamed. Larissa’s super chill energy seems to have an effect on Jack, who half an hour in is talking about photography with some other art kids and he even agrees to come grab a beer with him and Larissa afterwards.
Until, of-fucking-course, Jack goes into hockey-mode and asks Larissa if she would like to be their team manager. They need one and she seems good at organizing stuff.
“Brah!” “I think it would be cool” “wait, what” “I’ve been looking to do more stuff and you guys are dope. Would I get my own nickname?”
And Jack looks her with that seriousness that means he’s thinking about hockey and firmly says “Lardo” and she says “sweet” and Shitty corrects “swasome” and things are good.
Thing don’t stay good, because as chill as Shitty tries to be, life rarely stays chill.
After winter break, in the smothering tightness of his folks’ home, Shitty finds himself craving that weird and easy friendship with Jack.
Why he finds is a Hockey Robot. All Jack seems to do and talk about is how to get the team to the play-offs. He trains longer than anyone (more than Shitty can keep up with), and when he isn’t on the ice, he is thinking about hockey or talking about plays or or about eating more protein.
Shitty is angry. Not that he would tell anyone (except Lardo) because it’s really not his place (he knows about shorty family dynamics, no pun intended) but he’s mad because Jack’s folks seem to have done quite a fucking number on him over the break and it kills him to even think about it.
And then family weekend comes and Bad Bob himself shows up to Samwell with his beautiful wife and Shitty has to swallow down his anger because Jack wants them to go have diner together and it’s the first human interaction he’s had with Jack in a month so sure he’ll go.
Shitty is good at being nice and polite around people he dislikes. He hates doing it, but it’s like muscle he had to work on growing up.
Except, Bob and Alicia are nice. Like, fucking nice. Even for Canadian standards. They are sweet and funny and normal and keep reassuring Jack about their love and support every third sentence.
And still, Jack has that grim “thinking about the next game” look on his face the whole time.
Shitty is confused as fuck.
The game goes well and Jack is the happiest Shitty has ever seen him as he celebrates his goal in the ice. He even hugs Shitty and thanks him for his assist.
Three games later they are out of the playoffs and Jack shuts down everything and everyone around him.
Shitty tries. He knocks on his door at least twice a day to see if he wants to go over to the Haus to hang out with the team. He offers going out for burgers or a beer or both. He even enlists Lardo, hoping the team manager will be able to snap him out of it.
Jack leaves early for a Hockey Summer camp and doesn’t say goodbye but Shitty hears from Johnson that he also got dibs on a room at the Haus.
Jack actually texts Shitty during the summer. It shocks him so much that he has to double check his phone before replying.
The texts are just to comment on the NHL playoffs and finals, sporadic and robotic at times, but Shitty does his best to drag the conversations for as long as possible. Once the season is over, so are the texts.
Shitty assumes Jack must be pretty happy though since his old bro won the cup.
When fall comes, Shitty stumbles again into Jack’s hockey-robot mode. His intensity is nearly terrifying. He barely speaks out of practice, only leaves his room to go to lecture or the rink. Looks like he hasn’t been sleeping at all.
Shitty is worried. He’s hurt, too, because he misses the friendly Jack that had slowly started coming out of his shell, and he wonders if it’s going to be like this, back to square-one after every break, but most of all he’s worried about Jack.
Lardo tells him to give him space. She says she sometimes gets “on the zone” for an art project and can forget about the rest of the world. Shitty likes thinking of Jack as an artist, but he hates seeing him this unhappy. None of the old tricks work to cheer him up.
Then comes the first Kegster of the year. Two frogs, Hostler and Ransom, take over planing duties and the party is the biggest the Haus has ever seen.
It’s freaking dope.
And then, fucking Kent Parson fucking shows up asking about Jack.
Lardo and Shitty nearly have to drag him out of his room to greet his old best friend.
Jack is cold towards Pars, in a way Shitty has never seen before. He’s downright rude and mean in every comment, no matter how much Kent tries to joke around, and five minutes later Jack turns around and leaves him talking to himself.
He’s jealous, Shitty realizes, and he’s being petty and awful and he doesn’t know this Jack Zimmermann at all.
Shitty runs after Jack upstairs, maybe a little emboldened by the alcohol.
“Hey, brah, what the fuck was that?”
“Stay out of it, Shits.”
“Nah, man, that was weird as fuck.”
“Seriously, you don’t know what you’re talking about”
“Then tell me, man, I’m your fucking friend! Just talk to me!”
Jack slams his bedroom door on his face and Shitty deflates. Maybe he was wrong. Maybe they are not friends after all.
The rest of the semester is tense. Shitty tries to focus on his classes, on the ice, on how fucking cool and pretty and funny Lardo is, on the parties and the rest of the team.
It just bothers him. He misses Jack. He’s still there but he’s been absent any time they aren’t in the rink. He’s still great and focused and nearly friendly in the ice, but anything else is like the fucking twilight zone.
It’s before a game that he finds Jack sitting outside Faber, curled into a ball and physically shaking.
Shitty thinks of the headlines about Jack OD’ing, thinks of his tension around his loving parents and his reaction to Kent Parson showing up. Anxiety. The word takes form in his head, clear and obvious and the relief of having an answer hits him so hard he wants to laugh.
Instead, he sits next to Jack, who stirs when he feels him by his side but actually seems to relax when he realizes it’s Shitty who found him like this. Jack lets out a breathy “I’m fine” and Shitty says “sure, brah, but I’m fucking nervous about tonight, mind if I sit here for a while?” And Jack shakes his head. So they sit, in uncharacteristic silence, until Jack’s breathing normalizes.
“Thanks, Shits. Could you not-“ “Don’t worry man, I ain’t saying fucking shit to anyone.” And Jack smiles for the first time in months.
By the end of the semester comes the Epikegster to end all the kegsters. Which means, of course, Shitty gets shitfaced.
Which is why he ends up stumbling drunkenly to his room in the middle of the night to grab another pair of sunglasses because who knows where the fuck his other two pairs went
And it’s why he doesn’t know how to react when he finds two linebackers throwing up on his bedroom floor
“Brah, what the fuck, get outta here!” He yells, trying to grab one of the guys and pull him out to the hallway.
Except, the guy is huge. And he is angry.
Shitty doesn’t know what hit him when someone throws him to the floor.
His brain thinks he’s been checked for a second but then he remembers he’s not in the ice.
The other guys, however, apparently don’t remember they aren’t on the field because the second dude tries to tackle Shitty just as he’s getting up and he barely has time to dodge before one gigant ducking foot goes through the bedroom wall
“Hey, man, what the fucking fuck?!”
Shitty tries to steady himself, increasingly accepting that he’s about to get into a fight he didn’t ask for. He has time to think it’s ironic that his first real fight in Samwell will be off-the-ice.
And then the bedroom door opens and in comes Jack Laurent Zimmermann in all of his gorgeous badass glory.
“Let’s all calm down, eh?”
Here’s the thing: it’s easy to forget how strong Jack is. Shitty is used to hanging out with Hockey Bros and it’s easy to forget that not everyone’s bro’s are big muscley athletes defying toxic masculinity standards one day at a time. But Jack, even when he doesn’t look that big, is one of the strongest people he’s met.
He remembers all this when Zimmermann grabs the two by their shirts and drags them out of the room and all the way downstairs.
Shitty stumbles after them, as Jack pulls them like they aren’t both huge masses of muscle and throws them out to the street.
By the time Shitty reaches the porch, a bunch of big as fuck guys are standing there, looking drunk and angry and ready for a fight.
So Shitty does the one thing that makes sense to him: he squares up next to Jack, ready to fight back to back with him.
Before they can get run over by fists, however, Jack reaches for the only emergency measure in the house: an old as balls fire extinguisher.
Two minutes later, the football bro’s are running away and Shitty is laughing so hard he collapses on the floor next to Jack.
Jack kneels next to him, with his serious hockey face on, puts a hand on Shitty’s shoulder and asks “you alright, Shits?”
Shitty nods, still laughing, and to his surprise Jack laughs too, sitting by his side on the floor. They sit there, chuckling, until the sound dies down and they both sigh at nearly the same time.
Whatever tension there was between them seems to have desipated with that clouth of dust of the fire extinguisher.
“Thanks for having my back, bro”
“Hey, you always have mine,” Jack shrugs. “What are best friends for?”
Shitty cries. Jack freaks out that he might have said the wrong thing. Shitty just hugs him and shouts about being the best bros.
That winter break Jack invites Shitty over to his house and Shitty accepts eagerly.
Bob and Alicia are sweet and happy to have him and keep saying how much Jack talks about Shitty and how thankful they are that Jack’s found so many good friends in Samwell and they’ve heard about Lardo and Hostler and Ransom and Johnson and Shitty most of all.
This time he manages not to cry.
At the end of the break, Jack and him are hanging out and Jack says “Hey, Shits, I’m not good at this but I wanted to say thanks, for not giving up on me when I was acting kinda weird.”
And Shitty just laughs and says “it’s alright man, I figured you have like hockey robot mode and then human mode.”
Jack makes a face. Shitty shrugs.
“I’ll take them both, brah.”
Jack doesn’t cry, because he’s Jack and even his human mode struggles with emotions, but he smiles and throws a snowball at Shitty’s face and that’s all he wanted really.

Monsta x being jealous reaction
I really loved your writing for the Monsta x reaction to you being jealous, could you do it the other way, please?!
↬ Shownu
Tumblr media
starting with our favourite leader
shownu is the type of guy who gets jealous but only tells you IF IF IF IF IF  you notice
THE MEN HAS NO FACIAL EXPRESSION!!!
i MEAN he has but only on stage opsss
anyway he never gets jealous about just guys hitting on you
he gets jealous of your attention
so here you were, at changkyun’s birthday and you were helping kihyun and kyunnie in the kitchen
that's was fine
but you were laughing at the boys
and being gorgeous ( why are you being like this? CAN YOU TRY TO BE UGLY ???? shownu calm down boy)
so he kinda gets angry and wants your attention
 BUT HE does nOT tell YOU!!!
SO you just keep going like nothing happened
until you ask him to help you
and he just looks at you like grrr
you: ?? honey?
then everything just clicks in your mind
he is: J E A L O U S
YOU HUG HIM
give him attention and he will be fine
sn: >:(
you : * smooches love and kisses*
sn: :3
yeah that’s it he is fine now.
the second they are less jealous they are just... baby boys, right?
↬ Wonho
Tumblr media
BABY I MISS YOU SO MUCH
mbb keep fighting for your love he deserves everything
Anyway
We know he is needy and he is VERY jealous of mbb, imagine in a relationship
He trusts you thought... He just doesn't trust men. ( Who do I mean tf)
YOU are his precious treasure
nobody can touch you without your permission
so when both of you were in one of those jooheons party’s and a strange guy started to be touching and flirty with you, he was already all over the guy
the thing is, he is waiting for your “permission”
you stopped him
you: I already told you, I HAVE A FUCKING BOYFRIEND YOU IDIOT
you pushed the guy and held wonho’s hands
you: men are annoying
wh: that’s right, men suck, sorry for being one
you: I mean if all of them were like you...
wh: would it be better? yes but... you could replace me for someone better
you: Wonho, that’s not such a thing. I will never in my life find someone better and more perfect for me, you're the only one, my love.
wh: good, because I am all ours.
will kiss u in front of that asshole just because he can ;)
and bc he wants
I mean, he is very touchy with you in public to not get in these types of situation
his bigger fear is that your strong personality put you in a big fight and you get hit or worse you know?
he hates the fact that guys only respect you bc of him and not for the fact that you are a person
and he lives to hate men with you
and keeps telling that, harassment its NOT your fault and will never be.
yes mbb, we stan the right men <3
↬ Minhyuk
Tumblr media
wjneiwnejeej a little mothafuckr
Follow me on this one
He is a free young spirit who is not controlling or do not wants you to feel trapped at all
bUT
You are H I S girl
Not just like a gf
You are his partner/best friend/ lover
So no!!! he is not sharing the moments you both are supposed to do with someone else
He doesn't care if guys eat you with the eyes ( unless you care, and you do, so rip to them)
So watching a hero movie in the theatre with kihyun because is the movie premiere and he is working as an MC that night? It's a no-no to him
And as every demon Scorpio, you should know revenge is coming
He is basically not hanging with you
At all
You both live together and he is like " oh hey StRanGeR"
So you just apologise bc you miss him
And he misses you too so he MIGHT feel guilty and apologise too
mh: " I hate eating alone and sorry I did use your favourite serum last night just bc I was mad but I will buy another one you know youareeverythingtome just just... Don't hang out with kihyun alone doing stuff that me ME YOUR BOYFRIEND Lee minhyuk should do!!!!! Iloveyousorrysorry"
You can only laugh and kiss him
And ofc you sure him that hanging with kihyun is like taking your old aunt out bc she needs her vitamin c.
He is never letting kihyun live after this
You both good.
:) he is too soft to make you in pain
↬ Kihyun
Tumblr media
I honestly hate kihyun sassy ass
but I love him :(
he is A JEALOUS BITCH
a lil bit controlling... just keep him at his place and it will be fine
he gets more jealous of your friends and coworkers
because in his head, if you already like/love them, they can steal you
what a smart hamster
but dumb bc you wouldn't replace him
and even with a superego, like everyone, kihyun has his insecurities
so yes > afraid of losing you< its an issue here
one day you just keep telling about your friend wooyoung
and how happy you are for him and his lover
because he made like the cutest things for their one-year anniversary
and you just keep telling all the details, excited for your friend
kihyun gets jealous and mad because he thinks you’re saying that wooyoung is better, more romantic
kh: okay just date him already
you: ???? what?
kh: you only talk about how is he the most romantic guy right? i get it
you: no its not-
kh: I might not have a lot time for you bc of the band but I swear I try my very best for you, I mean if you are unhappy with me I understand but
you: kihyun shut up
he looks at you, damn he is mad
you sigh bc this hoe is mad for nothing
you: first of all wooyoung is gay and his lover is san
kh: ohh
you: yeah ohhh, plus I am very satisfied with you baby why would you say that? I love you bitch, I ain't never gonna stop loving you, bitch
kh: I love you too baby and stopping using old vines to tell you love me
you: no
you: I WANT A CHURCH BOY WHO GOES TO CHURCH AND READ HIS BIBLEEEE
kh: that’s it goodbye
kihyun has left the room
but smiling bc he loves you
↬ Hyungwon
Tumblr media
GOD HE DOES NOT CARE AT ALL
maybe because we know hyungwon is a very straightforward person
and you two make sure to always make clear each other feeling and thoughts
so Won knows how much you love him
you love him and he loves you
what's more important than that?
so when the fandom and the media discover about you two
that was rumours about you cheating on him with your best male friend
and someone photoshopped a picture of you two kissing
hyungwon saw this and immediately made sure to speak to the press
hw: this picture is fake and y/n is only a friend of the male with her, she is loyal so don't try to break something that is unbreakable
you cried seeing that bc
your men>>>>>>>>>>>>
you: baby you didn't tell me about that
hw: I didn't want to worry you, it’s okay now
you: you really trust me huh?
hw: of course I do
he kissed you gently
hw: also, I am a 10 and your friend is a 7 in the max, seriously you must be crazy to even think about cheating on me
you: you're right, I could never
you hug him because he is so precious uwu
And damn he is right
He is a god
Could you tell me where can I find my own hyungwon?
↬ Jooheon
Tumblr media
SO HAHA remember this lil shit?
with all that “ jealous is for ppl who don’t trust each other”?
haha BULLSHIT
once again joo trust you of course
but he gets annoyed
world please understand
YOU ARE HIS GIRL
PERIODT!!!!
so let's say that some pictures of you being hella sexy were out for the public
nothing promiscuous just
sexy you know?
so these pics were out ( was intentional bc you were promoting for a friend)
but everyone was talking about
so one rapper commented “ damn that’s hot”
and well
jooheon is not happy about this
he knows its only a campaign but DOES PPL NEED TO TALK THAT YOU ARE HOT?
jh: asshole hot is my fucking hand after slap your ugly face I swear I will cut everyone hand that commented those things about my girl
you: jooheon
jh: what???
you: well forget it, you're mad :(
he is sorry for being angry
jh: sorry baby, just tell me pretty baby ~
you: I was going to say... why don’t you do what they want so badly?
he still didn't understand
so you sit on his lap
kissing his neck, you whisper close to his ears
you: why don’t you show me what only you can do?
you: why don't you make me scream the name of the only person that can touch my body?
jh: oh baby, you can bet I will, gladly
he smirks and...
you know ;)
( I am not weak for angry!jooheon, you are)
↬ Changkyun
Tumblr media
he is the most passionate guy
that’s why Kyun is so confusing in my eyes
he pretends he is cold, but he is soft
he pretends being dope, he is weird
he pretends to be a fuckboy but is romantic
he pretends he does not care, but he cares, waaay too much
maybe both of you are jealous
nobody has ever said about being exclusive at all
but it was an exclusive thing
both just didn't know ( clowns 🤡)
the game was going to be a draw
but kyun couldn't help himself when that guy was touching you way too much
taking way to much smiles and laughs of you
when he could look at you way to close
and dance way to sensual with you

ck: look I just... why are you with him?
you: kyun I mean, you were with that girl too and, wait, you're jealous?

Christmas Proposal:
Word count: 1010
Can also read on Ao3
One week before Christmas
"Minnieeeeeee! Tell me what you want for Christmas."
Clementine and Minerva were in the mall doing some last minute Christmas shopping. And to also get those sweet sweet savings deals on those new video games. Clem still hasn't bought Minnie anything because yeah. Life be like that sometimes.
"I don't really want anything."
"Please just tell me. You know it's difficult for me to shop for you. You want everything and nothing at the same time."
The redhead thought about what she wanted. "I just want you to say yes to the question I'll ask later."
"You want me to say yes?"
"Mmhm."
"That's it?"
"Yep."
"Mmhm, yeah OK. Don't cry when you get nothing on Christmas then."
"I probably still will. Depends." The redhead chuckles.
"Yeah whatever. Let's just go get these shoes AJ wanted."
They make their way into footlocker to buy these dope ass shoes AJ wanted. They are dope trust me on that.
--------
Four days before Christmas
"I am once again asking, what do you want for Christmas."
Clementine was on her laptop, scrolling through some online store, trying to find something to get the redhead. Listen, she's going to get her girlfriend something awesome, even if it kills her. If she has to murder someone for it, that's fine too.
Minerva takes a sip of her coffee, before answering. "And I'm once again telling you, I just want you to say yes to the question I'll ask in the future."
"That's fucking stupid. How am I supposed to know what question to say yes to?"
"Oh don't worry. You'll know."
The brunette stared at the redhead. "That sounded so fucking ominous."
Minerva just chuckles as she takes another sip of her coffee. Clem is terrified now.
-------
Two days before Christmas
"Alright, you giant redhead blob of hotness, I'm giving you one last chance to tell me what you want for Christmas."
The redhead in question just got out the shower, and is looking for clothes to put on. She's debating between a onesie or some grey sweatpants. The dilemma. Anyway, the redhead turns from her drawer to look at the brunette, with a smile.
"You think I'm hot?"
"......yes, but that's not the point. Tell me what you want.
Minnie walks to the bed where Clementine is laying on, getting beside her, missing her lips. "Just say yes."
"I'm getting real sick of you saying that. Reaaaaal sick."
"Good thing I'm here. Can be your nurse and bring you back to top notch health." Minnie rains down kisses on Clem's cheek
The brunette blushes, hiding her face in Minnie's chest. "......I hate you."
"I love you."
".....love you too."
--------
Christmas Day
Clem, Minnie, and all their friends were gathered in their living room, exchanging gifts and such. Just generally having a dope ass time. The redhead sat on the couch, watching as her girlfriend gets excited over opening present after present. Grand ole time. But now it's time for what she's been wanting to do for the past couple weeks.
"Clem, can I ask ya something."
The brunette in question looks up from her newly opened present. "Uh, yeah, sure."
"Oh shit is it time?" Ruby questioned
"Yeah it's time."
"Oh my lord." Ruby gets her phone out and starts recording. This is gonna be good.
"Time? Time for what." Clementine is a confused bean.
"Time for my possible Christmas present."
"Oh really? Hit me."
"Well, first I wanna say that I freaking love you. Like a lot. A crap ton. Like take the size of Jupiter, and multiply that by like eighteen, and that still won't show how much I love you." The redhead laughs in nerves.
Clementine laughs along because the rambling do be kinda cute though.
"Anyway, I'm getting off track. Uh, you're pretty much the best thing that's ever happened to me. You made my life , and me, better. You remember how shitty I was."
The brunette snorts, along with everyone else in the room because yeah, Minnie was a little shit.
"I was horrible, then you called me out on my bullshit. And that's how I fell for you. You were pointing out how I was being horrible to everyone, and I just couldn't stop thinking about how pretty you looked." Minnie grins at the brunette, who grinned in returned. "Then I realized you were right, and that I had to change. And you helped. You helped a crap ton. Kept me in check, that's for sure."
"I did do that, yeah." Clementine smirks.
"You did. And I fell for you more. Then, I asked you on a date, which you for some reason said yes to, god knows why, where I spilled all that lemonade on myself."
"God, it got everywhere. Looked like you peed."
"Yeah, yeah it did, and yet you still decided to date me this entire time. Anyway enough reminiscing. You made me a better person, and I love you. So, and this is where my present comes in," The redhead pulls out a ring box, while getting on one knee, causing the brunette to gasp. She opens the ring box to reveal a dope ass ring inside. "I want to spend the rest of my life with you, wake up everyday with you b my side, and everything else. So, uh, will you marry me?"
Clementine stood there, awestruck. She didn't know this was going to be happening. At all. The redhead just fucking got down on one knee and proposed to her. This was what Minnie wanted for Christmas, and she's going to give her that.
"Oh my god. Yes."
"Wait, really?"
"Mmhm. I'll marry you."
"Holy shit. Holy fucking shit, you said yes."
"I did."
The redhead tales the ring out of the box, and puts it on Clementine's finger before standing up and pulling the brunette into a kiss. Their friends were cheering, but all sound seemed to slip away. They were in their own little world. They're getting fucking married. Best Christmas present ever.

Kiss me, Heal me. 1
Tumblr media
Pairing: Jungkook x reader, BTS x reader.
WC: 3k+
Summary: When Jungkook gets injured just before an important game, he sets out to find his soulmate to heal him. In a world where soulmates can heal all kinds of illnesses by kissing, he’s desperate to find his, even if he doesn’t know you yet. What happens if he does find you? Will you kiss a stranger who claims to be your soulmate?
tags: idiots and enemies to lovers, a lil slowburn, a bit of angst, soulmate culture, smut in the future.
pls don’t repost my fic anywhere, if i ever find out you stole my fic idea you’ll regret it. thanks :)
Jungkook’s luck seemed to have run out. He couldn’t believe he injured his leg just before an important game. The game that if he didn’t play, he could lose an opportunity for a scholarship and sponsors. He was careless and now he’s got nothing to blame but himself. He had to get stitches for it, and the doctor said he needs to let it heal for weeks. But, Jungkook doesn’t have the time to wait for that, so he’s made up his mind to find his soulmate. Even though the soulmate culture is kinda odd, he’s willing to put up with it if that means he would be healed.
His girlfriend would probably hate him for it but they weren’t working out like they used to anyway. they were fighting most days now, and he wasn’t really sure anymore if he still loves her or he just loves the idea of her.
So, tomorrow he’s gonna go to that Jay dope guy who’s an acquaintance of his best friend Namjoon. Joon said that his crack dealer looking acquaintance could help Jungkook find his soulmate. Says, he’s selling some kind of drink to help someone find their soulmate in a dream. It sounds crackheady already, but Jungkook’s lazy and doesn’t know how to find his soulmate, so he’s willing to try everything easy to find her.
💜💕💜💕💜
When Jungkook arrived at Jay Dope’s shop, albeit he had quite a hard time because of his leg, the first thing he noticed was the weird but sick figurines, the place looked hippy, but it smelled good. He was still waiting for this Jay Dope guy to show though, and he didn’t have to wait long as he appeared a few seconds coming from the back room.
“Hi, how may i help you?” The crack dealer looking guy said. “Uhh, my friend said I could buy a soulmate drink here?” Jungkook timidly said. “Oh, you’re looking for your soulmate…why? got sick of your girlfriend already?” Wtf. How did this guy even know he had a girlfriend? he’s such a creep.
“Um, how did you even know I had a girlfriend?” he asked, Jay dope just ignored his question. “I’m just gonna get it at the back, cos I keep it cool yk? in the fridge,” the weird guy said. He appeared a few seconds after. “That will be one happy memory please.” Jay dope says as he hands jungkook the drink. “Huh?” Jungkook asked. “You need to give me one of your happy memories, that’s the price I’m asking for the drink.” He said. Was he being serious right now? lmao, well if that’s really the payment he wants for the drink then so be it. “Uh, don’t you know it already? you seemed to know i have a girlfriend so-” Jungkook implied. “Well yes, but I need you to tell me and grant me permission to take it.” the guy said. “Oh, okay.” Jungkook agrees and tells the weird seller about that time when he got the scar on his left cheek, but he was still happy ‘cause he got to beat his older brother and won their bet. The winner would get to play on the computer all week.
Jungkook left the shop feeling a little disoriented, it seemed like he felt sad for some reason he didn’t know why? whatever, once he finds his soulmate, he’s sure he’ll be happy again. During the night, Jungkook took the drink out of his bag. He was gonna try and see if it was really effective, the can was color blue. And there were words written on it. They were: Good night, have a good dream. A dream is a wish your heart makes, whenever you’re fast asleep. You’ll find your soulmate, they will be the first person you’ll see.
What kind of crack is that? isn’t the 2nd line some lyrics from a disney song. fck, that drink better be real and effective though, because Jungkook’s head hurt after leaving that shop. He drank it and fell asleep soon after. And then he was dreaming, He was in their university, Having a class. But there was no one else, well except now. A girl just came in, she was kinda cute. Shit, is this what the drink’s talking about? Is she his soulmate? he went up to her and looked at her closely. he could see her face clearer now. Doe eyes and plump lips. Long lashes. A cute big nose just like his. But she doesn’t seem to notice him? he was quite frustrated. The classroom they were on was the room Jungkook used for his psychology class, so does it mean that they shared the same class too?
Well Jungkook was gonna find out soon anyway, tomorrow he’ll find you. Before the dream ended, you seem to have dropped your ID in the classroom and Jungkook saw your name. Y/N. great! if this isn’t some weird hallucination it’ll be easier to find you now.
♥♥♥
“Hyung, I hope this really works because I can’t wait to be able to walk properly again. I hate these crutches.” Jungkook whined.
“Well, did you find her? did the drink work I mean,” Namjoon asked, looking at his friend with concerned eyes. “Yes, I think it did. I saw a girl, her pretty features were so clear. her name’s Y/N and i think we share the same psychology class.”
“Wow. That shit hoseok gave you must’ve been some really expensive crack huh?” His bestfriend teased. “Hoseok? that’s Jay dope’s real name? whatever hyung, you were the one who recommended the guy to me in the 1st place. He seems legit though, even if he’s such a creep.” Jungkook retorted. “Anyway, I need to find y/n and if I’m correct she will be in our psychology class now. So, I’ll be going bye.” Jungkook said as he hopped away from his friend.
When he entered the classroom, the first thing his eyes focuses on is finding you. But maybe he was too early because you weren’t there yet. He was almost worried you were absent when he noticed your form entering the class, you took a seat in the middle and Jungkook decided he had to talk to you now. Seeing as the seat beside you was still empty, he went and sat next to you.
“Oh, i forgot to put some stuff there but my friend is coming, can you maybe transfer?” You said kindly to him, but immediately regretted it when you saw his injured leg. You just noticed it right now. “Um… It’s kind of hard for me to stand up right now, my leg’s kinda throbbing. Can I just sit next to you please?” Jungkook half lied, it was kinda true anyway his leg was being a pain in his dumb ass. “Oh, okay. I guess my friend can just sit at the back.” you meekly replied. “Y/N. your name’s y/n right?” He knows you? this popular jock knows you? “Yes, but how do you know me?” “I know you because I think you’re my soulmate.” He replied, shocking you. He must be joking right? how could you two be soulmates you both were so different? He was hot and you weren’t really that hot.
“Are you pranking me or something? cause I don’t have time for your jokes right now, mr.soccer player.” You retorted. “I’m not y/n, you need to believe me. I drank a soulmate finding drink and I dreamt about you. And I didn’t even know you, I didn’t even realize we shared the same class until today.” Well, at least he looked sincere when he confessed that to you. “Well, why did you want to find me anyway?” You asked. “Because I kinda wanna ask you for a favor. It’s about my leg…”
Is he gonna say what you think he’s gonna say, because you feel uncomfortable already. “Can you kiss me to heal me? I really need your help baby. I can’t afford to miss the game, my scholarship (and sponsors- but he didn’t say it) is on the line, my life depends on it. Please y/n…?” He pleaded. damn, you hate those big beautiful doe eyes- they were staring right through your soul. It didn’t help that he was so close to you now, you could smell his sweet scent, and you can’t deny how handsomer he is up close.
“Don’t call me baby, cause I’m not your baby.” You said though the pet name made your heart skip a little. “And don’t you have a girlfriend? what is she gonna feel when she finds out your kissing other girls? Also, I don’t even know you and I sure as hell won’t kiss a stranger. What if you just want to get in my pants? What if you’re a horny fck boy?” You said to him. “You say you don’t know me, but you knew I had a girlfriend? how did you know that then? were you interested in me?” He says and you’re completely caught off guard.
“As if. My friend told me, she likes to gossip about people.” you replied. “Well, Why don’t we get to know each other? Hi, my name’s Jeon Jungkook and I’m a soccer player. My girlfriend and I are having a rough time right now, but that doesn’t mean I’m a fckboy looking for chicks to pick up.” He says smiling stupidly at you. You already hate his smile.
“Hello, Jungkook. I’m y/n and I actually don’t fucking care. I’m sure you can wait a few weeks for your leg to heal, because I sure as hell won’t be kissing you.” You snapped at him. “Wtf. C'mon y/n don’t you have a heart? I could lose a scholarship opportunity here, If you help me, promise I’ll help you back when you’re sick. Namjoon even said that a soulmate’s kiss doesn’t only have amazing healing properties, but also luck.” He begged. Luck? well if that means winning the lottery, you could use some of that. You were broke too. anyway wasn’t he rich? why did he need a scholarship then?
“I need the scholarship cause my parents won’t pay for my tuition anymore. They didn’t like that I played soccer. They said I should’ve focused more on my education. But, I wanna play it’s my dream you know?” He said sadly, he looked so cute with a pout on his handsome face. And you were starting to get him. You wanna follow your dreams too, If you had one- because right now you didn’t even know what’s going on with your life.
“If I agree to help you, What about your girlfriend? Wait- why can’t we take a blood transfusion instead? I heard it has the same healing effect.” You suggested. “B-Blood transfusion? Idk, that seems more exhausting to me. What if you’re not healthy enough for a blood transfusion? And It would take up quite a lot of blood too. Doesn’t kissing seem a better option? I won’t owe you more?” He persuaded.
“I’m not really that comfortable with kissing you while you have a girlfriend, Jungkook. And maybe even if you didn’t have one too.” You confessed honestly. “I don’t wanna take advantage on you too, Y/N. But, I’m kinda afraid of needles and blood…” Oh. So that’s why he doesn’t wanna do a blood transfusion.
“Well, what are we gonna do? I wanna help you but idk if I can.” You sighed. “You’re really gonna help me now? that’s so great y/n! I could kiss you- oh. lol.” he squealed.
“You should just kiss him, you lucky whore.” A voice familiar to you said, it was from behind you. “Wtf Charlie? why are you eavesdropping on a personal conversation?” You glared at her. “Well, you two weren’t really being quiet about it, the whole class could hear you if they wanted too. Also, I’m just proving a point. Why don’t you just kiss mr. handsome here? It’s a win-win situation. He gets healed, and you both get your luck. Why are you hesitating so much anyway? You like kissing. Scratch that- you get off to it, it’s kinda your kink. Maybe because you’ve never been k-” You Interrupted her before she could say something even worse.
“Charlie you need to shut the fck up, before I fcking lose it and murder you right now.” You warned your friend looking at her right in the eye, You were annoyed at her talkativeness. “You have a kiss kink?” Jungkook’s cute dumb ass asked, you felt really embarrassed now. “No, I don’t. She’s just lying cause she wants me to make out with you and tell her the details after.” You lied, well half lied cause Charlie would probably want you to tell her the details after smooching with someone hot.
“I am not lying. Believe me soccer player, she’d die to kiss someone hot like you.” Charlie then winked at your hot soulmate. “That’s it. I’m sure you don’t mind if I tell yoongi you have a crush on him right now, I’m really gonna get up and talk to him now-” You stand up, moving as if to go to min yoongi’s whereabouts which you actually didn’t know. All you know was that he was a music major and he seemed cold to people in a hot kinda way, or more like hot for your friend kinda way.
“No! y/n wait please I’m so sorry! you’re a virgin and you’re lesbian. Sorry kook, I was lying.” She screamed. You sat back down, “Yeah, you better shut that mouth if you don’t want yoongi to know.” You smirked evilly at your friend. She just nodded submissively. “Um, y/n about us kissing? I could just tell my girlfriend and if she allows me, will you do it?” Jungkook said, you almost forgot about him. “Fine, but let me think about it for a bit too. (it’ll be my first kiss you know, she said in her head) If I do it, you’re really gonna owe me big time. And I’m not joking when I say I want a lifetime supply of Banana sundaes. At my fave icecream shop okay?”
“Sure. I’m a fan of sweet things too you know?” He said, you just smiled at him. We must really be soulmates then. The bell rang just then, your professor was absent but she left some activity for you guys to do, so that’s why you were able to converse freely and for a long time.
💜💋💜💋💜

To Jungkook 💟: 7:42
Wow. Why didn’t you tell me right away then? Fine, I’m letting you fool around with her just one time. And on one condition.
To Babe 💓: 7:43
You’re always busy that’s why i couldn’t tell you. And it’s not fooling around I’m just gonna kiss her a bit, you know how magical but crazy the soulmate bond works. What’s your condition though?
To Jungkook 💟: 7:45

To Babe 💓: 7:46

Well now that my girlfriend’s agreed, I gotta let y/n know so we could get on with it right away. I wanna be able to join our practices again and prepare for the game, it’s in 2 weeks. I still need to convince y/n more though, maybe I could ask her to eat icecream with me at her favourite place? yes, mayhaps that would work. I’m gonna text her since we had exchanged numbers before going home after that class the other day.
Jungkook: 8:15 pm
Y/N, guess what? she agreed. she’s okay with us kissing to heal me.
Y/N: 8:17

Y/N: 8:19

it’s funny but you couldn’t help that you kinda cared about your soulmate, he was cute and kind. And you did really want his leg to get better. You’re just anxious that you have to kiss him to do it. And you will have to get over it soon, because you need to help him. Hopefully things will turn out fine, and after this, your life will be the same old boring shit that it was- just like before.

Hey,,I know this is kinda a weird request,,,but could i possibly get Martin with a male s/o whos like,,slowly losing it? Like descending into literal mental chaos,,? Ps I love your blog so much Martin is so underrated 👉👈
Now this is a concept... I shall try my best and also this might be a mood. And thank you so much! Yeh, he most definitely is, thats why its awesome to see so many more people showing him some love. Have a great day fam!
You were the most important person in the world to him, and it was beyond the fact that you would actually listen. It was beyond the fact that the moment he saw you his soul seemed to cry out “Where were you?”Some people have this natural connection, the second you see each other something finally clicks. It felt as though after an eternity of searching, someone finally actually saw you. He first saw you as you entered Cuda’s shop, brushing your bangs out of your eyes, he instantly wanted to dart to the back room. You couldn’t see him, the two of you were not supposed to meet like this. You were the face that he ran towards during his dreams. He tried to avoid you as he moved about the shop, but soon enough it became clear that he noticed you. “Hey’ where's the stationary isle?”  He looked at you like you had grown a second head. “Stationary.. You know… like paper?” “Aisle four…”
After a while you made it to the check out, idle small talk filled the silence. “So you work here permanently now?” “Yes…” he answers. “This is my cousin’s shop”

“That old bat? Is he really your cousin? What are you--like twenty?”
“I’m eighty four…”
You instantly seemed to become intrigued. “Okay, I'm about ninety two.. That's what my joints are tellin me anyways--” You laugh as your fingertips reach towards the ceiling, cracking your back with a resounding pop. He eyed you as though you were some sort of alien for a brief moment. Watching as you reach up towards the ceiling, Shirt rising up, exposing the skin of your lower abdomen. “ Look away...”
The sound of the back door alerts the both of you of Cuda’s presence, Martin quickly begins baging the rest of your items.
“When do you work next… Martin?”
“Tomorrow, around noon.”
“Nice, well, I’ll see ya then.” You offer, and with that you were gone, leaving Martin to question what had exactly happened.
You showed up the next day like clockwork, notebook in hand eagerly flipping through the pages. You toss the open book on the counter, startling Martin out of his reprieve. “Now, look… I don’t want you to get weirded out okay... I literally make sketches of everything.”  Slowly Martin reaches for the notebook, his eyes widen just a bit. It was a picture of a boy.. No it was actually him. He could see the details in the face. His chin was propped up on his hand staring idly off into space. “T--thats me?”  “I had to, you looked so bored yesterday. Hope you don’t mind…”
It was such a simple gesture, but his heart actually ached. He existed in someone’s mind when not around? You were about to tear out the page and give it to him. “No… don’t”  “What?” “I… don’t want to fold it.”  It’s just ink on paper, it’s not gonna smudge .” His eyes linger on the portrait for a bit before briefly shifting towards your hands. He used to fancy the idea that he could draw, but this was a completely different ball game. Fascinating. “I’ll tell ya what, I could drop it by your place if you’d like?” Martin hastily agreed. He told you exactly where he was staying, and instructed you to use the window. There was a large tree in the backyard, just close enough to the window, The branches were large and thick, perfect for latching onto. He used it plenty of times before. “The window? I don’t know what you had in mind, but I was just going to drop off the picture.” Martin opened his mouth to speak before blushing profusely. “I-I didn’t mean…”  “I mean,  geez man, you could at least buy me dinner before you start making plans to sneak me into your room.” Martin glances around anxiously, he could already feel the heated glare from the old man. Luckily for you both Cuda was nowhere to be found, but the fact that he was in the same building left a lingering air of paranoia. You seem to quickly catch on, glancing over your shoulder. “Sorry, I know it’s because of him… I’ll be there at about eight… is that okay?” Martin nods his head, eyes once again lingering on your hands.
~~~
You became a presence in his life and he was unsure of how it happened, the way you easily inserted yourself into his subconscious. He thought about you all the time, when you weren’t around, he would count the hours until he could see you again. In his mind, that might become a problem. What if one day, he just couldn't see you? Surely he would die. The two of you spent countless hours in your room late in the afternoon. He liked to watch you as you would draw, long languid motions, intricate scribbles, hair falling into your eyes. You would brush your bangs out of the way almost as though you were annoyed. His gaze would drift from your long delicate fingers further up your arms.The way the various veins and tendons would become pronounced with every stroke of your hand. Raised lines all varying in color and depth were painted all across your forearms. Some grouped together and extremely faint almost akin to tally marks and others extremely jagged and raised. He often wondered who had done that to you what happened? He would start to become angry as he imagined the details. One thing about Martin was that he was fairly transparent, much like other people… you could tell when he would stare.
“Your silence is deafening shy boy… whats up.” Martin slowly eases over to your side. You close the notebook regarding him with a curious expression. You watch as his gaze moves to one of your arms. That was it, it took him long enough. Most people would just look at you with disgust. They weren't good at hiding the underlying condescension in their tone when they would offer “You have a good day okay?” Tentatively he raises a hand, only allowing himself to touch you when you don't move away. Long delicate fingers tracing over one of the deeper scars, for some reason your breath hitches in your throat. His touch was so gentle and achilingly precise, his fingertips trailed their way up your arm. He seemed almost fascinated as his eyes moved over each one, the touch of his hand alone causes goosebumps to form over your skin. When his gaze finally meets yours, there's a sort of innocence behind his eyes, you can already hear him asking “what happened?”
“I used to have really bad dreams…”
“Dreams?”
“About the past… I couldn’t sleep, so I had to go away for a while.”
“Where did you go?”
“Fairmount.. I was there for almost a year.”
“Fairmount?”
“It’s a mental institution… Martin… do you need me to leave?”
He’s silent for a moment as he chews at his bottom lip.
“They keep telling me that I need to be in a hospital… is it bad?”
“Dunno, I was doped up half the time.”
You watched as his eyes widened, he almost didn't know whether to laugh or if you were serious.
“Dead ass… and it wasn’t even the good stuff.”
The two of you began to talk, really talk. He talked about himself and his sickness. You talked about how even in your drug addled sleep, they would come for you in your dreams. Your neighbor when you were seven and how he ended up taking his own life when he found out your dad was pressing charges.You didn’t end up leaving until sometime after midnight,
~~
For the most part, things had gotten better, now that you weren't on that extreme cocktail of drugs. Your mind was no longer free rental space for them to take up occupancy at any given time. But you could feel their presence, even in the daylight-- somewhere in the corner of your peripherals you could see a shadow. They always moved so awkwardly and disjointed, when you'd glance to the side, it was only a branch. When you would lie in bed at night eyes focused on the ceiling, you could feel the bed shift, a sort of pressure on your chest… “No no no... “ You tried to think of Martin, that sometimes helped. Especially when you would picture his face. “It’ll be alright.. I promise you’ll be alright! They can't actually touch you. You want to scream as you feel them clawing at your skin, tearing off your clothes, holding you down, immobile. The seconds bleed into hours but in reality you were only out for two minutes. Your sheets were soaked with sweat and sometimes urine when you would come to. This had to stop. Fourteen years of your life he’d taken from you… this had to stop somehow.
~~
 Something was off, that much he could tell. Even though you tried your best to keep up your cheery demeanor. One thing you couldn’t hide were the dark circles under your eyes, your fingernails were bitten down to the nubs. You seemed to be running on vapors, he never saw you eat, raiding the fridge was one of the first things you would do when the two of you were alone. Cheery for the most part, but clearly agitated, sometimes you would end up being short with him. You would always quickly apologize, muttering some sort of excuse-- mostly about being tired. You promised yourself it would never happen again-- the one time you completely lost your temper. Martin didn't always stop by your place, you claimed it was too small and dingy. “When I have you over, I want it to be a palace!” Martin would always roll his eyes. You knew he was coming so it was not like you were surprised, you just had to have a quick shower. You emerged from the bathroom to find him flipping through your sketchbook, you were suddenly overwhelmed with a surge of anger. In an instant you snatch the notebook from his hands pinning him to the bed. It was as if your body was moving to its own accord, it was as though someone else’s hands were wrapped around his neck-- not really choking him, but hard enough to render him immoble. He couldn’t see them. You had to keep him safe. He would never know peace if he actually saw their faces.. That's why you drew them, you had to desensitize yourself. They had to know that you weren't afraid. You could almost feel the lockdown on your joints and muscles start to dissipate, and you realise he was speaking. His voice barely a whisper seeing as how your hands were still wrapped around his neck. Oh god--
You sit back as if you had just been burned, tears already forming at the corners of your eyes. What had you just done? You hurt him… you’re sick…  “Y/n…” He’s sitting forward now, not the least perturbed, his hands instantly cup your face. The tears were flowing steady now seeping into his palm… You were shaking, why was he still here? You were surprised he didn't bolt away the second you released him. “I-im s-orry.” Your voice was barely a whisper. He nods his head, a stray tear escapes which he quickly brushes away. A sudden rush of air escapes your lungs, though it comes out as more of a choked sob. “I’m s-soo sorry..” Martin quickly leans in pressing his lips to your forehead, holding you close. You cling to his desperately as though he might disappear-- you can feel his presence wrap around you like a warm blanket. The ever present chill momentarily evaporates in his warm embrace. Things had to get better. They absolutely had to. You would never allow yourself to hurt him again.  After a few moments you start to actually relax, as his fingers soothingly run through your hair, cheek pressed against your own now you can hear him whisper “They’re not real.”
Here is yet another commission from @gabriel-agreste-has-no-rights for @mlbforblm. She requested a luxy/djwifi double date, so I hope I did this justice.
I still have slots open, so if you want to request a fic from me feel free to check out my slots. Or if you want to check out the other contributors.
Summary:  About two months into dating, XY decides that it's time for him to meet some of Luka's friends. Now all Luka has to do is find someone who won't instantly kill XY on sight.
“Hey, Jules!” XY greeted as he walked on board the Liberty.
It was funny to XY how every time he came over to visit Luka that Juleka was outside doing something on the deck, yet she was still ghostly pale. Maybe she was a ghost. ORRRRR...she was a half-ghost like that kid on T.V. That’d be wicked cool if she was.
Today, Juleka was sitting on one of the benches, strumming some song XY didn’t recognize. She glanced up at XY’s greeting and frowned as if she didn’t recognize him. Which was kinda crazy, he was a celebrity after all. Everyone knew who he was. Plus he was dating her brother.
Shaking off the weird look, XY continued attempting conversation.“I’m just gonna hang out with Lu for a bit, so I won’t be bothering that purplicious hair of yours.”
Juleka stared blankly back at him for a moment before turning back to her guitar and picking up her melody again.
“Nice talking with ya!”
Walking downstairs, XY replayed the conversation with Juleka in his head.
“I think your sister likes me,” he declared once he got downstairs, flopping onto one of the bar stools.
Luka was sitting on the large blue couch that encompassed their living room. He had his electric blue guitar, the one that reminded XY of Luka’s eyes, in his lap with a sheet of paper in front of him.
At XY’s declaration, Luka raised his eyebrows and turned to look at him.
“What makes you think that?”
“She didn’t call me one of those weird names like snobby imbecilic brat. I know you said it’s an insult but are you sure? Sounds like a pretty dope stage name.”
XY got up and moved to sit by Luka on the couch. Luka moved the papers and guitar out of the way so they could snuggle up against each other. This was definitely XY’s favorite part of coming over.
“I’m positive that it’s an insult. But I’m glad Juleka is being nicer. Wouldn’t want my sister hating my boyfriend.” Luka leaned over and gave XY a peck on his cheek.
“Yeah, wouldn’t want your sister hating me. Especially since you have no friends,” XY commented.
XY attempted to snuggle in closer to Luka, but Luka pushed himself away unexpectedly.
“I have friends!” Luka exclaimed, crossing his arms and pouting.
“Yeah, sure, love,” XY said, absentmindedly. Luka’s pouting was super distracting, like how did anyone be that adorable.
Gosh, he just wanted to kiss Luka now. Maybe he could sneak a little kiss in.
As XY leaned in to try and steal a kiss, Luka stood up and started pacing, causing him to fall onto the couch.
Man, who knew his comment would throw off Luka’s whole groove? It’s not like the whole friends thing was a shock to him, right? He had to have known.
Luka kept muttering to himself, so XY just stood there watching him. Pace back and forth. Honestly, it wasn’t all that bad ‘cause he had a perfect view of Luka’s backside. And it wasn’t a bad view. Man, he loved his boyfriend.
After about five more minutes of pacing, Luka stopped and turned towards XY. “Why do you think I have no friends?”
XY shrugged, leaning into the couch. “I mean we’ve been dating about two months now and I have yet to meet any of them. So I just figured you had none. Being friendless isn’t a bad thing. I don’t have any other friends besides you and look at how swagadocious I turned out!”
“Yeah...totally swagadocious…” Luka sat back down on the couch, a thoughtful look on his face. “XY, I have friends. It’s just most of them would…”
“Ask for me to sign their foreheads once they realized who I am!?”
“They’d rather beat you with a butter sock,” Luka deadpanned.
“Ouch, that sounds like it would hurt.”
“It would, trust me.”
XY frowned. If Luka’s friends really hated him that much, then that means they wouldn’t support their relationship. Then Luka would break up with XY ‘cause bros before boos, and then XY would be all alone. He really hated being alone now that he had Luka.
“Hey, hey, it’s not that bad. They don’t know you like I do,” Luka reassured, patting him on the back.
“So you’re saying that if your friends got to know me they wouldn’t want to hit me with a sock of butter?” He asked, getting excited. It would be a win-win. XY got to meet Luka’s friends and Luka’s friends got to know the real XY. GASPPPPP...he wouldn’t be alone anymore!!
“When can I meet them?”
“I don’t know if that’s the best idea…” Luka trailed off, looking anywhere but at XY.
“C’mon, Lu, pleeeeaaassseeeee.” XY pouted and gave Luka his best puppy dog eyes.
Luka sighed, knowing he could never resist XY’s irresistible charms. “Okay, fine. I’ll try and see which of my friends won’t immediately jump you on the spot.”
XY pumped his fist in the air. “YES!”
                                                         XXX
XY glanced up at the dinky apartment building.
The building looked as if it was made of different colored bricks and someone attempted to paint over them to make it all the same gross maroon color. Most of the windows on the front side of the building were so dirty that the need of blinds wasn’t even necessary.
XY tightened his hood even further. This was really the last place he needed to be seen right now. Those news reporters could easily twist the story to make it seem like XY was broke. Which wouldn’t be too hard for people to believe because of his lush lifestyle and lack of new music.
XY sighed. One of Luka’s friends was in there, and XY was determined to get to know him. Ignoring the strange feeling in his stomach (he should probably get that checked out), XY walked into the building.
Immediately, XY gagged at the stench in the lobby. He couldn’t quite place it, but it smelled almost like vomit mixed with perfume. It was as if someone tried to Febreeze the vomit smell away, but the two smells mixed together to make one gross stench.
Trying to escape the smell, XY ran over to the elevator and pressed the up button multiple times, but nothing happened. No lighting of the button. No ding to signal the elevator was there. Nothing.
“Hey! What gives?” XY shouted.
“Hey, dude!” A deep voice cuts through the silence in the lobby. For the first time since he entered the building, XY realized he wasn’t alone. There was a heavy-set, poorly shaven man sitting behind a counter, a frown set on his non-groovy face. “Elevators broken! Can’t you read?”
The man pointed at a sign right in front of XY’s face, which in fact read that the elevator was broken.
“But the person I’m visiting lives on the top floor! You really want me to climb up five sets of stairs?” XY marched over to the counter.
“I really don’t care what you do,” the man responded, licking his finger and turning the page on some book he was reading.
“But isn’t it your job to-”
“Look, kid. It’s not my job to do anything but sit here and make sure the place doesn’t get robbed. Fixing the elevator, not my problem. So either you can walk up the dang stairs or leave. Got it?”
“Fine…” XY groaned. If it wasn’t for Luka, he would’ve left and come back another time. But he was determined to leave a good impression on Luka’s friends even if it killed him.
                                                        XXX
Man, these stairs were gonna kill him.
He was on the fourth flight of stairs, and his lungs were killing him. Why did this dude have to live so high up?
Deciding to take a breather, XY sat down on one of the steps and closed his eyes for a second.
“Uh, are you okay?”
XY opened his eyes to see a dark-skinned girl in front of him with a concerned look on her face. Her wavy brown hair had reddish-orange tips that really complimented her skin tone. Her light brown eyes were hidden beneath thick black frames.
“Ye-yeah, I’m good,” XY scrambled to stand up, embarrassed he had been caught resting on the stairwell. “Just needed to rest ‘cause these stairs are terrible.”
The girl nodded in understanding. “Yeah, I get it. The elevators’ been broken for months now and I hate walking up the four flights of stairs just to visit my boyfriend.”
“Gosh that would suck if I had to visit my boyfriend and do eggs er size,” XY commented. Man how he hated eggs er size.
The girl eyed him for a moment, and XY worried she would see through his amazing disguise of sunglasses and Luka’s hoodie. “You sure you’re okay?”
XY let out the breath he didn’t realize he was holding. “I’m amazing. Just one more set of stairs. I’ll be good!”
“All right, have a good day then!”
“Thanks!”
                                                        XXX
“Finally! I made it!” XY exclaimed as he knocked on the door to apartment 502. He noticed that there were only two other apartments on this floor, which he found odd for this kind of apartment building. Even the floor was a soft red carpet with no trace of dirt anywhere.
“Hey XY! You made it!” Nino greeted as soon as he opened the door. “Come in! Come in!”
Nino pulled XY into the apartment and closed the door behind him.
“Woah!”
The apartment was unlike anything XY expected.
The kitchen, which was right by the entrance, was filled with stainless steel top of the line products. The counters looked as if there was real marble on it and paired with the black cabinets made the kitchen pop. There was an island separating the kitchen from the living room, and from there XY could see at least three different gaming stations and maybe 50 games stacked next to them. Above the gaming stations, there was a large flat screen T.V.
“Yeah, I get that a lot. This building has a lot of really nice apartments, but that’s where all of the money goes, so everything else looks really crappy,” Nino explained.
XY didn’t respond, still in shock over how nice the apartment was.
“So Luka tells me you’ve turned over a new leaf? That’s exciting. I remember I used to like your original stuff.”
“Yeah, I did too, but Dad said it wasn’t selling enough so we went a different route,” XY shrugged. “The music business is tough.”
“Tell me about it. Everyone thinks that just cause I’m a DJ that I don’t do any original work. But that’s not true. Every song I remix, I have to perfectly curate what beat goes with which song and still make sure everything flows together.”
“That’s awesome! I wish I had half the creative juices you did.” XY frowned, thinking about why he hadn’t released a new song in months. The rhythm just seemed to escape him every time he sat down and tried to write something.
“I’m sure you have loads of talent. I mean look at your first album. In my opinion, your best album. There’s loads of good stuff in there dude,” Nino reassured.
“Thanks, man.”
“No problem. Now let’s destress. I wanna introduce you to my favorite game, Banana Battles.”
“Omg, I love that game!”
                                                        XXX
“And then his mom came home and made this delicious Maraca meal. I think it was coo-coos?”
“Couscous,” Luka corrected on the other end of the phone.
“Yeah, that! It was sooo good! You have to try it sometime!” XY was drooling just thinking about it.
“Sounds like you had a good day.” XY could just imagine the smile on his boyfriend’s face.
“Yeah, Nino is a really vibing dude. He mentioned that his girlfriend’s super cash money, and we set up a double date. Man, I can’t wait to meet her.”
“Wait, XY. Did you set up a double date with you, Nino, and his girlfriend?” Luka questioned.
“Yup!”
“...aren’t you forgetting something for a double date?”
XY frowned, trying to think of what he might’ve forgotten. “Uhh, an outfit?”
“Your date!”
“But I already have a date. You,” XY explained, confused.
“XY, you never asked me to go on the date.”
“Oh, I forgot…”
Luka just laughed on the other side of the phone, clearly amused by the situation.
                                                        XXX
“I still can’t believe you forgot to tell me about this double date.” Luka laughed again as they entered the elevator.
They were having their double date at Nino’s girlfriend’s place, and XY was so grateful that her elevator was working.
“I said I was sorry! Plus I got you chocolates as an apology!” XY pouted.
“You didn’t have to, I was just messing a bit,” Luka smiled that stunning smile of his.
The elevator dinged, signaling they had reached the fifth floor. Unlike Nino’s apartment building, this one had a good number of apartments on the top floor, which meant it took some time for them to find the right apartment.
Almost immediately after they knocked on the door, the girl from the stairwell opened the door.
“Hey! You’re the dude from the stairwell!” she exclaimed, immediately recognizing him.
“Gal from the stairwell!”
The girl motioned for them to come inside, and XY followed after Luka.
“I can’t believe you were the guy resting in the stairwell. I can’t believe I didn’t recognize you sooner!”
“Well, I do have only the best of disguises.”
“If by best disguises, you mean you just stealing my hoodies then sure,” Luka deadpanned.
“But they’re so comfortable!” XY complained.
Nino walked up behind Alya and whispered something in her ear. Alya nodded in agreement, staring at both Luka and XY.
“So my mom and I made some dinner for us to eat and we have the apartment to ourselves! Let’s have some fun!”
                                                        XXX
“But like imagine an outfit made completely of markers. It’s perfect for when you go out and get the kiddie menu and they only have those boring four crayons. Just take one of those markers and boom you got an additional color,” XY explained to Alya. He wasn’t really sure how the conversation got here, but it didn’t matter because he was enjoying himself so much. “It would be perfect for you as a journalist. Like your pen could just be a part of your jacket, and bam it’s always there when you need to write a quote!”
“That’s...not a bad idea. I should get Marinette to try and design one for me.” Alya took another bite of her pasta.
“Seriously, how do you come up with these ideas?” Luka asked.
“It just comes to me in fever dreams. Not like I can ignore 'em.” XY shrugs, shoveling a mouthful of pasta into his mouth. Man, this was amazing.
“That’s how the best of songs come to me,” Nino said.
“See! It’s not just me!” XY accidentally hit the table too hard, causing his yummy pasta to fall onto his clean white shirt. “Dang it! I was gonna eat that!”
Luka sighed. “Where’s your bathroom?”
Alya pointed at a nearby door, a slightly confused look on her face.
“We’ll just be a few minutes. This happens all the time,” Luka reassured, pulling XY with him towards the bathroom.
“Yeah, I’m a messy eater,” XY told them, as they entered the bathroom together.
Once the door was closed, Luka turned on the faucet.
“Alright, come here ya big dummy,” Luka said, reaching for XY’s shirt. He had already taken off his jacket before dinner so it was easy for him to get the shirt off. Luka tossed the shirt into the sink. “Okay-”
XY cut Luka off by smushing his lips onto his. Luka returned the kiss, pushing XY up against the wall. Gosh, he loved when this happened.
XY vaguely heard a thump from somewhere outside the bathroom but chose to ignore it in favor of kissing Luka. Unfortunately, Luka didn’t have the same idea and pulled away.
“What was that?”
“Nothing, let’s go back to kissing,” XY whined, pulling Luka back to him.
“Mm, XY, wait, mmm, it could be an akuma,” Luka got out as XY peppered kisses on his lips.
“Even more reason to stay here.”
“XY, we should really che-”
A feminine voice that was most definitely not Alya’s interrupted whatever Luka was saying.
“-need both of you guys to help with Hawkmoth’s latest akuma. It’s a really tough one and I still need to get the other heroes. I trust that you guys can catch up and help Chat with this one. I’ll see ya there! Bug out!”
XY stared wide-eyed at Luka.
“Was that Ladybug?” XY asked. Luka only responded by blinking at him blankly.
Taking Luka’s silence as a ‘yes’, XY quickly opened the bathroom door. “XY, wait!”
The two floating kwamis in front of the couple confirmed what XY had just heard. “Oh my goodness! You guys are superheroes just like Lu!”
Luka facepalmed. “You’re not supposed to tell people, XY.”
“Woah, wait a second. Luka’s a hero?” Alya said as if that was the most surprising thing.
Luka nodded. “Viperion.”
“Th-that makes so much sense.”
“Are all your friends heroes Lu?” XY asked, turning to Luka with a hopeful look in his eyes.
“Maybe, I don’t really know cause we don’t know each other’s identities,” Luka scratched his head. “I mean Ladybug knows all our identities, but other than that we don’t know each other.”
“Woah, so you could be fighting alongside your friends and don’t even know?” Luka nodded, “Crazy.”
“Wait, I have a question,” Nino said, staring oddly at XY and Luka. “Why are you shirtless?”
“Oh, uh, the bathroom was stuffy!” XY exclaimed, hoping that was a good enough excuse.
“Hey, shouldn’t you two get going. Ladybug really needs you. After all, Paris needs its heroes and you’re one of them. We’ll take a raincheck, try again some other day,” Luka said, pushing Alya and Nino towards the balcony.
“But-” Alya tried to protest.
“Don’t worry about the mess. We’ll clean everything up! Go save Paris!” Luka closed the patio door before either could protest further.
“Okay, XY, put your shirt on, we gotta clean this fast,” Luka said quickly running back into the kitchen.
“But, I wanna keep it off and show off my sexy abs.” XY shook his hips a little.
“XY!”
“Alright, alright, but next time you ask me to take my shirt off I’ll remember this!”
It’s Party Time || Megan, Todd and Winston
When: before Megan Ariana got her name back. Who: @letsbenditlikebennett, @itsyaboytodd & @danetobelieve Where: an undisclosed college frat party Summary: Winston takes Megan (aka Ariana) to a frat party that Todd is playing at, everyone has a good wholesome time. Warnings: N/A
Nodding along to the beat, Todd pressed his fingers to the headphones around his ears, his other hand working the turntable. He could feel the beat pulsing through his shoes, the thrum of the party people getting more and more pumped with every song he dropped. It was fucking awesome. This was the shit he lived for. Sure, it was just a party for one of his old frat brothers, a party thrown because the local college students were bored and restless. But, it was still fun, just like all his other sets were fun. As the song began to end, he worked the soundboard, letting the mix come to an end to some cheers from the people who had gathered in the backyard where a dancefloor had been set up. “Alright, DJ DAYZE is stepping off for the night-- up next, RedStormz.” He said into the mic before setting about disconnecting his things and getting it all stowed away.
 Once he was all packed up, Todd pulled his sweat soaked shirt over his head and grabbed a couple of beers from the cooler outside before he wandered off to find Winston and the friend they’d brought with them. Catching sight of Winston, he grinned and hurried over. “Winston! Bud, I feel like it’s been fucking years since I’ve seen you!” Todd grinned cracking open a beer and taking a drink before looking at the small girl next to them. “You’re Winston’s friend…. Uhhhh, sorry, I’m totally blanking on your name. I’m Todd, aka,” He pointed at the bucket hat on his head and the logo emblazoned on it, “DJ DAYZE!”
If there was something Megan could always count on, it was Winston doing the most to try and cheer her up. With the amount of stress she was currently under, they had the right idea when they invited her to join them at a party. After all, they could both use a little bit of fun in their lives. As per usual, she had texted Blanche a picture of her outfit to make sure it matched. Apparently, she looked cute and so did Winston. While Winston’s friend had been DJing, the pair had grabbed some drinks and Ariana all but insisted they made their way to the dancefloor. As always, she was filled with energy and the booming of the bass compelled her feet to move. She’d been thoroughly enjoying the experience and was only slightly bummed a new DJ was taking over. Still, it meant she could meet another one of Winston’s friends. She waved as Todd approached and laughed. He was blanking on her name which was fitting because so was she right now. “You’re all good, dude. I’m Megan. I don’t have an AKA, but if you call me any variation of short, I will have to kick your ass.”
It had been quite the month already. Winston hadn’t loved watching Blanche and Rio get love potioned, but that was done and now it was time for Winston to blow off a little steam. Ariana clearly needed it too, although they hadn’t been able to work out why she couldn’t remember her name. They were convinced it was fae related but these things took time to work out and for now she seemed like she needed the time off of the real world to just focus on how everything was working in her head. “Todd! Buddy it’s been literally forever.” They pulled their sweaty DJ friend into a tight hug and swallowed some of their own drink. They weren’t too drunk … yet. There was still time. But they were trying to keep on their best behaviour just in case they needed to step up to the proverbial plate. “Please no ass kickings tonight, let’s just all get a drink and have a good time.” Todd was a good DJ, apparently so was RedStormz. The bass thrummed and the room heaved to the beat of the music. Winston couldn’t help grinning. “Do we need more drinks? I can do drinks for everyone?”
Face all smiles, Todd gave Winston a few good natured slaps on the back as he hugged them. It was so good to be hanging with one of their best buds! He hadn’t seen Ricky around town at all and with most of his old brothers having moved out of White Crest. They were all headed down their new career paths at “investment firms” and “law offices” and “medical school.” Meanwhile, Todd was still here, still DJing, still hoping for his big break. But, it’d come! Lots of people thought his music was great! Like the girl he’d met at that party, she thought his music was amazing! Oh-- he’d have to tell Winston all about this chick he’d been talking to. She was so cool.  “Nice to meetya, Megan. And hey, no ass-kickings needed. I’m a lover not a fighter. Gotta keep all this,” He gestured to his face, “Fresh for the ladies.” With a laugh, he held up his own beer. “I’m all good, thanks though.” Looking at Megan, he cast an easy going grin, “I don’t think I’ve seen you around before. You going to UMaine in the fall?” He asked.
Already, this was turning out to be exactly what she needed. Between the upbeat music filling the space around them and being around good people, Megan was already letting go of some of the worries that had been plaguing her. “No worries, I was only joking about the ass-kicking,” she responded with a laugh. At the mention of more drinks, she perked up. The drinks they had started with had already left her face feeling a little flushed, but she was feeling more relaxed than she had in weeks. “That sounds like a great idea, Win. I’m good with anything citrus-y.” Even though they were standing and chatting, she was swaying a bit to the music. It was a little bit loud given her sensitive hearing, but her hearing had the added bonus of still being able to hear what else was going on around her. If she paid attention, that was. She couldn’t help but laugh. “Oh yeah, wouldn’t want to ruin all of that, Ladies Man” She gestured to his face with a smirk present on her own. She nodded along with the mention of school, “Oh! So like, kind of? The trade school is attached to campus, but I’ll be doing a carpentry program there. What about you?”
Winston grabbed everyone more drinks as Ariana AKA Megan discussed their various studying prospects. They weren’t really sure that they had the heart to tell Megan that Todd wasn’t technically a student anymore, he would be able to explain that on his own. It wasn’t that Winston was worried about Todd, it was more that Winston was worried for Todd. They knew that everyone had to work out their own way and how things worked for them individually, but Winston wasn’t sure what Todd was going to do if the DJ thing didn’t work out. “She’s really good too,” Winston replied, “like a DJ equivalent of a carpenter, whilst you’re realising bop after bop, Ari- I mean Megan is releasing various intricately carved pieces of furniture.”
With an enthusiastic nod of his head, Todd smiled as he listened to Winston and Megan explain what she was going to be doing. Carpentry, making furniture and stuff like that. “That’s pretty dope, dude! You gonna be out here making like… the Mona Lisa of dressers or something? That’s lit!” At her question, he took a long drink from his can of Coors and shrugged. “I graduated two years ago, did a degree in music production.” He said and gestured to his packed up gear that was chilling off to the side while Redstormz did their thing. “I’m just kicking it here in White Crest til I get my big break-- if you liked my set, you should def check out my SoundCloud.” Todd said eagerly, pointing again to his bucket hat. “It’s just my name, there are a bunch of tracks I didn’t play tonight on there.” Todd gave a thumbs up. Never hurt to plug his music, but it did feel a little weird trying to market his stuff. He wasn’t good at the whole “selling yourself” side of music. He just wanted to make some jams that people liked, and fuel parties around the world. Or at least, around the state.
“Thanks,” Megan said cheerfully as Winston handed her a drink. She had to respect Todd really going after his music dreams. It wasn’t the easiest field to make it in, but she knew it was important to pursue something fulfilling. As much was why she opted for trade school over university. “I appreciate nature motifs a lot, so more like the Bob Ross of carpentry. Keep the whole happy little trees vibe,” she responded with a smile as she took a sip of her drink. “That’s totally cool that you’re in the music game for the long haul. Hope that big break comes soon. I’ll definitely be listening to your SoundCloud. I’m always looking for good stuff to add to my running playlists.”
Grinning, Winston nodded, “No problem.” Everything that had gone on recently was getting to Winston, so they needed to blow off some steam and to Todd’s credit they always went to the best parties with him. He seemed to have a knack for it. So Winston was hoping that this would be a night to remember and in a good way. “It’s actually really good, I listen to a lot of Todd’s stuff at work, really good for like getting in the right headspace I guess.” Winston wasn’t lying either. Todd wasn’t bad at this by any stretch of the imagination. “I don’t run, because, asthma, but I imagine they’d be pretty good for that.” They turned and looked at Todd, pushing their glasses up their nose from where they’d slipped down. “You playing any more venues soon?”
“Happy little trees, I dig it, I dig it.” Todd laughed and nodded at Megan. That was pretty dope though. The most he’d ever done was make the stickers and logos for his merch, and that was pretty basic stuff. A small rush of pride washed over him at Winston’s words. He had no idea that Winston listened to his stuff that consistently, but it felt good to hear that other people appreciated his stuff. Especially someone like Winston, who always seemed super on top of their stuff. “Yeah! My stuff is all about pumping people up. High energy, high intensity. A couple of my bros who work at the gym love listening to it, I’m really hoping they can convince their boss to let them play a song or two.” He said. Nodding sympathetically at Winston’s condition, Todd made a slight grimacing face. “That sucks, dude. But hey, like, as long as you’ve got your inhaler, you’re in the clear most days, right?” At the question, Todd balked and rubbed the back of his head. “Uh, not yet. Just playing at Friction, usual gig. But! The Todd Man’s had some luck in other departments.” He said, practically bouncing up and down on his heels. “I met this awesome chick. She’s so cool, dude, she totally supports my music career!”
Megan nodded along as Winston spoke and noted she’d definitely need to download his songs off soundcloud. Supporting a friend was always nice, but a good playlist could really help her zone out during a run. Lately, zoning out seemed to be more and more necessary. She threw back another swig of her drink before responding, “Between Winston’s rec and how much I enjoyed that set, I’m pretty sure my running playlist is about to get even more dope.” She shrugged slightly and added, “Running isn’t for everyone. I’ve just got too much energy for my own good like 90% of the time.” Todd had a good energy about him. He was very upbeat and seemed to be a genuinely good dude. She considered any friend of Winston’s a friend to her, even Rio, though right now she’d very much like to smack Rio. Nope, tonight was supposed to be a good night. No thinking about Rio. “Pumping people up, that’s pretty awesome of you. I like that. Right up my alley.” Megan noticed the slight change in demeanor, but for once, decided not to point it out. The alcohol was definitely starting to have its effect as she nodded along. With a wide grin, she assured, “Well, I’ll definitely be hitting up any future sets you do. I’ll be the one rallying everyone to the dancefloor.” At the mention of meeting an awesome woman, she smiled. While her own love life was an actual disaster, it was refreshing to hear someone was having luck out there. “A dope chick? Good for you, man. My luck in that department is not a lot so do dish.”
Ariana had a way of making everything sound better, happy little trees being just a single example of it. “Oh dude, that would be some dope exposure.” Winston was thrilled that things were apparently going so well for Todd. They felt kind of guilty that they had neglected their ‘normal’ friend. But when you’re constantly trying not to die because of supernatural bullshit, when you’re constantly trying to work to stop White Crest from imploding and everything else that had happened in the past few months. From witches to vampires to zombies to werewolves. Well remembering to pay your friends who have no idea about any of it attention is always difficult. It’s difficult to prioritise them in the same way and Winston felt like Todd was owed better then that. But they could always make up for that, right? “Oh yeah, I’ve always got my inhaler with me,” Winston replied patting their jacket pocket where it was indeed kept. “Oh hell yeah dude, I’m so pleased that you’ve got a girl who’s interested in the T-man. She obviously got good taste, especially if she supports the music!!”  Winston’s mind flashed to Rio and to their brief engagement to Blanche. Not their favourite memory ever but they pushed it away. “You comfortable telling us more about this woman of mystery or are you keeping it on the D.L for now?”
This Megan chick was cool. Like, super cool! How’d Winston meet someone this dope? Not that Todd didn’t think Winston was cool in their own way-- they were so fricking baller with their coding stuff and explaining math to him back in their tutoring days. But, Megan seemed athletic, more of a people person, which was a different kinda cool from Winston. “Yeah! You’ll definitely have to let me know how you like it.” He said with an enthusiastic grin and a wave of the hang loose gesture at her. At Winston’s wholehearted support, Todd’s face almost hurt he was smiling so much. But, he waved their words away. “We’re trying to like keep it chill right now, just because like, she’s kind of a cougar? So like… we’re just on the DL. But, damn, she’s so cool. Like, seriously, she’s amazing.” At Megan’s words, he offered a sympathetic nod before tilting his head back to chug his beer. “That sucks, dude. I get what that’s like though. Dating is hard. Like, sometimes people are just too busy for it, ya know?” He chattered as he took another sip of beer. “One time, there was this super hot chick I chatted up at a bar. And like, we went back to my place and I totally thought we were gonna hook up. But, when we got inside, she was like “oh no, I’ve gotta go!” and had to leave to take care of some stuff.” Todd shrugged. “So, like, I feel you bro. Seriously.”
It was comforting for Megan to know that Winston always had their inhaler on hand. Given they were pretty damn responsible so it made sense. She and Winston both eagerly listened along as Todd told them about the dope new chick he started seeing. While the cougar thing was a little odd to Ariana, especially given how young and full of energy Todd seemed to be, it was awesome he had someone who was supporting his passion for music. Dating wasn’t necessarily her arena just yet, but she knew it was important to have someone who supported who you were and your dreams. There was something almost familiar in the way Todd spoke, but as she took another sip of her drink, she gave up on trying to place it. “That’s awesome, dude. She sounds hella cool and supportive. I hope you two continue being happy together,” she responded with a wide grin. She shrugged at the brief focus on her own love life. “Yeah, I’m not too worried about it. I’ll eventually find someone that’s right for me.” It was hard to shake the feeling that she already had but he was in grave danger. The thought was enough to make her finish off her drink. “Damn, that’s a buzzkill, but sounds like you found someone better anyway,” she added with a loopy grin.
Winston wasn’t sure that any women older then the age of 25 years old would particularly like being called a cougar, they also seriously questioned whether Todd being with a cougar was a smart idea. But in this they had to trust their friend. Even if his judgement hadn’t been entirely perfect in the past. “Oh that is  ….” Winston tried to think of the right word, failing that they went with the easiest, “really cool. I’m super happy for you. Dating is always kinda shitty if you’re not with the right person, I’m glad it’s going so well.” Winston wondered if this super cool chick would’ve bounced so quickly if they’d gone back to her place, Todd’s place was incredibly … frat. “It’s a harsh world out there, you’ve got to protect your heart.” Literally apparently. Metaphorically too. It was, well White Crest seemed to be getting more and more complicated by the day. Winston was starting to really struggle to keep up with it all. “And, you know that there’s no rush right, sometimes spending time on your own helps you realise what you really want from something or someone or whatever,” Winston was sure that being single for 24 years must have done some good for them. Though they weren’t entirely certain what that was.
Grin still plastered on his face, Todd could barely contain how pleased he was. Winston was in their corner on this, which was like, one of the big seals of approval in Todd’s book. He really wanted to introduce her to his friends one day, but she’d been really like, insistent that they keep things chill and under the radar. And he could totally do that! But, still, he wanted to make sure his buds knew. And that included Megan now! She was a super dope chick, with her cool furniture Bob Ross gig lined up. “Thanks, forreal!” He beamed, though the expression faltered slightly at Winston’s words. Spending time on his own? Nah… No, he didn’t dig that. Like, outside of when he was working on his new tracks, being on his own-- that wasn’t something he wanted. He wanted to be where the people were, putting his fingers on the pulse of what was going on around him. Draining the last of his beer, Todd flattened the empty can against his head before chucking it into the overflowing trash can nearby with a cry of, “Kobe!” Looking at Megan, he offered two thumbs up, “You’ve got time, dude. Like Winston said, nothing wrong with being on your own for a little, ya know?” He said before tilting his head at Winson, “What about you, how’s things been going for you?”
Tonight had turned out to be exactly what Megan had needed. Between the loud music, her friends, and the fuzzy feeling the alcohol left her with, all of her stress seemed far away from her now. It was nice to hear that Todd’s love life seemed to be treating him well. She hoped the same was true for Winston and Rio now that the love potion was no longer a thing. With Ace in the back of her mind, she refused to truly contemplate her own love life. “You got the harsh part right on that one,” she said with a laugh. “Everyone has their own timeline though,” she added with a shrug. Her own timeline was a little behind most, but she spent so much time moving around it had been hard to form close bonds. Things were different now. She still wanted someone who could accept her fully-- wolf and all. Anything else seemed not worth it. As Todd threw his beer into a trash can and yelled out Kobe. She followed up with her own drink, “This bitch empty. YEET!” Her empty cup was now on top of the trash can and she turned to Winston so she could listen as they answered Todd’s question. She was curious for the answer as well. She hadn’t been over the house as much since she’d been mad at Rio.
Whatever happened in their life, Winston had to admit that they would be grateful to have Rio in it for just as long as he stayed in their life. The potential loss of Rio was not something that they wanted to discuss, but it wasn’t a thought that they relished. “Uh, yeah, i’ve got a boyfriend right now, my friend, well I guess boyfriend Rio, or Orion, I don’t know if he introduces himself to everyone as Rio but…” Winston couldn’t help but smile, Rio was the best, “he’s great, he really makes me feel … I don’t know, what I assume that you’re meant to feel when you’re in a relationship but yeah he’s special to me.” Winston grinned at Megan or Ariana or whatever they were calling her. “I guess I’m just really lucky.”
My Schitt’s Creek Headcanons After The Finale
Tumblr media
(Just want to preface by saying how much I absolutely ADORE & LOVE this show it is wonderful and perfect. These are just my ideas of what happens after the finale because it’s always so hard to say goodbye to characters you love. Also these could totally be wrong and it’s fine if anyone disagreea it’s simply just what I think lol.)
* Okay so The Rose's and Stevie (Patrick's part of the fam too of course) have weekly zoom calls. Alexis attempted to teach Johnny how to use zoom but after the third week gave up and recruited Moria's Instagram fan from Singapore with username Cherrybus to teach her. Now Moira is in charge of her and Johnny’s tablet set up for the zoom calls. Though she constantly asks "IS THIS STILL RECORDING" much to David's confusion and Patrick and Alexis's mortification lol.
* Patrick tries to get them all to play House Party and Jackbox games during some of their weekly zoom sessions but the only one who really gets into it and indulges him is Alexis. Patrick and Alexis bond over their gaming/trivia knowledge (like how she killed it in the escape room) skills. The Rose's officially ban Patrick and Alexis from being on the same team as they become obnoxious winners lol. Though Stevie ends up being the reigning queen of Quiplash despite being drunk on wine each time. David comes in second lol much to his annoyance and Patrick and Stevie's glee lol.
* Alexis ends up staying at a pretty shitty hotel for a few months to save up cash for an apartment because while she LOVES that David and Patrick have their cute cottage and did what was best for them she was banking on having them help with rent so she's gotta continue to rough it til she can afford it on her own. Also much to Johnny's dismay and insistence that she take SOME cash from them for a place for herself but Alexis has been holding firm on wanting to do this on her own. They compromise and decide Alexis just has to like let everyone in the group chat know when she makes it to the room safely. Which slightly annoys her since she been in way scarier situations but she chalks it up to her family being way more present now and smiles at that development.
* After the third month she's established a little routine and hits up this cute cafe called Tropical (she's a bit homes sick for Schitt's Creek she'll admit to only herself, sue her. Also they don’t have a green juice but she does end up loving Morir Soñandos) and starts going there in the mornings and that's where she runs into Ted (just like when they first met and when he first asked her to work for him). He had the same thought of the little diner reminding him of home and happier times.
*After Alexis and Ted recover from being gonsmqkxed over running into each other in NYC they find out what Ted is doing there. He's there for a new job. He tells her Galapagos was amazing but the research he did there was fulfilled and he just didn't feel right there anymore as well. This new job opportunity came up listing NYC and he took it. He’s doing some dope animal research program affiliated with a prestigious University here. Also he has the option to open his own vet practice here and can volunteer at animal shelters so really a win win.
*Ted didn't know Alexis was here because he had to mute her notifications on social media as it would just make him cry and try and run back to her and he didn't think that was fair to her when they had agreed to let go. Alexis barely lets him finish his long winded explanation before she’s throwing her arms around him and kissing him senseless. They both decide enough waiting and they're gonna be together here in NYC as they make it on their own. They get a lovely little shoebox apartment to start out which they split the rent for and Alexis's PR company ends up doing really well and continues to grow as she begins reping lots of Broadway/theatre people and NYC based actors.
* Everyone physically visits Schitts Creek once a month (I know that's not crazy realistic but whatever the Rose's are rich again so I’ma say they do it lol).
* Stevie always reserves the new "presidential suite" for Johnny and Moria at the hotel since they never got to stay in it before they moved.
* Alexis and Ted would stay in Patrick and David's amazing cottage house during the monthly visits but after David walked in on them using his en-suite bathroom and Alexis walked in on David and Patrick on the kitchen counter; David begs Stevie to start reserving a room for Ted and Alexis when they visit as well lol.
* They all always have a big dinner at David and Patrick's house whenever everyone comes back for their monthly visits and despite never being officially invited Roland and Jocelyn manage to invite themselves over a few times much ti ebeyoens annoyance. Twyla gets a formal invite from Alexis at times.
* Rose apothecary is thriving and David and Patrick set up a Second NYC branch (they still live in their gorgeous home in Schitt's Creek of course but make some trips to oversee the branch and hang out with Alexis and Ted. Stevie tags along because she can. Alexis does the PR for Rose Apothecary as well.
*Also I want Stevie to fall in love and have a long term partner as well so I’ve decided that he'll be Patrick's cousin Theo (I could've sworn Patrick once mentioned brothers/sisters but then I guess the nixed the idea because no one else was at the wedding or in his coming out to his parents episode). Patrick was really close with his cousin Theo growing up and then Noah joined the army to get out of their little town (hence why he wasn't at the wedding). They even both worked at Rose Video as their first jobs together.
*Theo gets honorably discharged from the army after loosing his leg and while healing discovers his love for making wine. Since his mother passed away due to cancer recently and his father was MIA all his life he moves to Schitts Creek to be close to Patrick (he loves Patrick’s parents; his Aunt and Uncle dearly and spent much time at theirs growing up but needs to be around people more his own age).
*Theo ends up buying out the old vineyard that made crappy wine and then sets up a deal with Rose Apothecary exclusively. He's a good person like Patrick but also a bit jaded and VERY sarcastic. Meets Stevie and instantly falls for this sardonic lovely lady with the quit wit.
*He immediately asks her out on a proper date and they fall in love and bond over found family and their jaded but good hearts. They tell each other everything and he treats her like the Queen she deserves to be treated as. He also makes specialty wines for her exclusively and names one after her that becomes a best seller so she has no choice but to marry him lol.
*They move innnext door to David and Patrick in their own little cottage and drive to the motel and vineyard respectively.
*Rosebud motel chains continue to thrive and Stevie gets to visit some of the branches across the country like in California where Moira and Johnny are. Alexis still reps Moira.
*Basically everyone ends up happily ever after and remains close and successful with their dreams.
SAW RANT TIME
So I was ranting about SAW earlier and I just need to make it into a post. There is SO MUCH IN THIS GAME I JUST LOVE. However for the sake of my fingers typing this all out and your poor eyes if you read all this I will be more focusing on plot, spooks, and such since we already know the puzzles be pretty dope. (spoilers of course)
First off, this game is just so freaky. Like I forget every single time how SCARY it is. The sound design is off the charts, the weird ghost sounds and the static, dripping water and the crashing noises? It’s amazing. The music is beautiful and haunting at times, and at others it’s straight up stressful and terrifying.
There was legit one point I had to leave the Ryokan and go into town I just couldn’t take the uneasiness anymore.
And it’s not just the music and sound; the empty, sterile, cold feeling is so freaky. And don’t get me started on the underground baths. That place is terrifying. It just feels dead and like you’re gonna get sick and die in there or something. Or find something you will never be able to forget.
Even the town is kinda unsettling- it’s so empty. Like every Nancy drew game is like this but it’s somehow much more noticeable and odd in this one. You’re not even safe in town due to the dvd, the window scene, and the text message.
As for the actual haunts themselves, I get so freaked out everytime. The baths, the string of doors closing, the two removed, red name, watery footprints, the shadows, and especially the time you get locked in the room. That one gives me so much anxiety I dread it every single time I play the game.
The setting is just so terrifying and honestly I love this game for it. (funny story I waited a while to play this game after it came out because I was deathly afraid of it but that’s a story for another time) (didn’t look in mirrors for a while)
But enough about the spooky stuff. I wanna get into the story.
There were a few things I noticed on my playthrough of the game this past time. First, Rentaro mentions that the hauntings started when someone saw something in the baths a few years ago. Then the ghost hunters started showing up. At the end of the game he says “I didn’t start that- they did! They wanted a show and I gave it to them!” which makes me wonder. He clearly is referring to the ghost hunters here, the ones that showed up after the first haunting. He got the idea from them. So what was the first haunting?
I’m open to any answer really. You can say that there are no real ghosts at the Ryokan, like Nancy believes. Or you can say that the ghosts are real; which leaves you with two options.
Kasumi is indeed a ghost haunting the Ryokan. This is either because of her death, or because her will isn’t found yet, but I believe if she really is there Nancy’s actions did help her spirit pass on. I don’t want to go....to much into her death but it’s all very weird for me. But we’ll talk more on Kasumi later.
The other option is that there are other ghosts there besides Kasumi. It wouldn’t surprise me, this place is super old and just has really weird vibes. This would mean that they were around before Kasumi died.
My thoughts on Kasumi and the family:
As for Kasumi’s death, I’ve always thought it was weird how everyone treated it but it was very integral for the story. Which is why I feel it’s weird not to clear things up? It’s so weird because they say the police considered it to be a homicide. Why? Some people have said they thought it could have been purposeful on Kasumi’s end but I feel like the police would figure that out? (there is the whole business with the sword shrine there at the end) Miwako says they all just let her die there alone, and it’s clear that they all feel guilty for her death, especially Takae. Maybe she fell into the water and didn’t try to get out? I don’t know. This part of the game is still a bit confusing to me, but I guess the important part of information is that they all feel guilty for her death. I also have a theory that it could have happened because of the other ghosts in the Ryokan and that’s why I brought that theory up earlier but that has less backing.
(if you are having suicidal thoughts or anything relating to that please seek help! For more information please go to this website for services to help you)
But beyond that, I wanna talk about Yumi. Yumi found Kasumi that night; she was only sixteen I believe. Later on when she was old enough she left the Ryokan, wanting to forget the past, “where you keep all the terrible things that have happened”. Yumi is such an interesting character to me; she has this weird friendliness that seems to come so fast. She seems carefree, confident and stubborn, yet she has these moments where the facade drops and you see just how scared she is. She is terrified of the Ryokan, and she is terrified her mother is still there. Based on the DVD I think she’s gotten numerous hauntings herself, and I really feel for her.
She secretly wants Nancy to figure out what’s going on from the pictures, but she is consistently warning her off it which is a bit weird. I also get the vibe that right off the bat she’s testing Nancy, seeing if she can really do this. I feel like some people can write off Yumi as being a selfish brat, which I understand but at the same time I get it. I’d want to get out of there too. She’s gone through a lot of trauma and I really feel for her. She’s running from her past and trying not to let it catch up to her.
Yumi leads Nancy to her set of numbers so she can solve the puzzle, which makes me think she believed Nancy could figure it out and probably solve whatever puzzle Kasumi had put together, which might end everything. (she was right yo) But after Nancy sees the window message near the very end of the game which says “Yumi I know your secret-I can’t wait to see you again”. That is not only freaking terrifying for us, but in context for Yumi even more so. I may be wrong on this, but I’m guessing the “secret” is that Yumi believes the hauntings are because of her- because she left the Ryokan. This is her fear and what she’s been trying to run from.
Me thinks Yumi has been seeing this same message many a night and why she sometimes doesn’t stay in her apartment, rather at a friends. Nancy seeing it makes her believe that she hasn’t just been seeing things and that it is real- she tells Nancy not to worry and that she will make everything right. I take this as her saying she will go back to the Ryokan and take over; which is exactly what Rentaro was trying to get her to do with that message.
Essentially, it’s a good thing Nancy solves the case when she does, otherwise it would have been too late- Rentaro would have won.
As for Takae; we know a lot about her, and I don’t want this to drag on even more, but I want to bring up one particular convo you have with her. She talks about how as she was a child a bird she tried to lure into her room got in and couldn’t get out. How the bird was thrashing and so scared, and how much it hurt Takae to see her like that. At the end Nancy asks why the heck she had to sit through such a lot story, and Takae says “Kasumi is still here. I must help her.”
Takae wanted Kasumi to stay forever at the Ryokan, hence the food luring bit. But once she got in, once she stayed it wasn’t right- she’s scared and confused and can’t get out- harming herself and others. At least this is how Takae sees it.
This is important because at the end of the game during Nancy’s letter you see a bird on her balcony. When she describes how the Ryokan is getting more guests than ever, the bird is show to have flown away.
I was always confused at this detail but now I realize that this is the same bird as before- Kasumi.
Now you can take either enterpretation you want; you can say that because of Nancy, the family is finally able to let go of their guilt that haunted them. The “a ghost doesn’t have to be real to haunt you” bit. They are able to move on and set her free.
You can also take this as Nancy finding the will and stopping Rentaro literally set her spirit free, and she was no longer trapped haunting the Ryokan.
Either way you interpret this game, there is something very special to it. It talks about grief and guilt, and how the past affects people. I feel like HeR started to bring up deeper storylines in these later games such as in SAW, CAP, and GTH. But they also left it open to allow the supernatural to be still real as well.
Shadow at the Water’s edge is probably one of my favorite games and it’s spooky lil butt will always hold a place in my heart. If you read this, I hope you enjoyed me hashing out my thoughts, and please let me know anything you wanna bring up about this game!!!!
Stay slueghthy my dudes
In Case You Don’t Live Forever - Chapter Nineteen
Pairing: Peter Parker x Venom!reader
Warning: MAJOR FAR FROM HOME SPOILERS
Authors Note: it was so long but I couldn’t split it into two chapters so there’s just two posts. Enjoy
Masterlist
Tumblr media
“Okay so first I’m gonna sit with her on the plane and watch all her favorite movies while we share earbuds due to this-” ,Peter held up a dual headphone adapter, “-little pluggy thingy. Then, we’re gonna take cute couples photos by all the historic landmarks and I’m gonna turn it into a SCRAPBOOK.” Peter did jazz hands along with his rant as Ned watched in fear. “Then, I’m gonna talk her on romantic walks around the cities every single night.”
“That’s swe-“ Ned tried to speak.
“THEN.” Peter interrupted, not even hearing Ned. “I’m gonna go to a jewelry store and get her one of those blown glass necklaces. I know she loves the Black Dahlia murder so I’m gonna get her one of those flowers on a necklace. She’s been super into this one flower lately from Asgard but I want her to have something when that flower wilts. Something from me. Then, I’m going to take her to the top of the Eiffel Tower and give it to her. That’s a good plan right?”
“Right.” Ned agreed.
“WRONG.” Peter was practically screaming at this point. “Because that’s not all. When we get to the London Bridge, I’m gonna give her this.” Peter pulled out a gold ring with a small pebble in the center.
“You’re gonna give her a rock on a wedding band?” New asked upon inspection of the ring.
Peter put the ring back in his pocket, offended that Ned would think he’d ever give his girl a rock as a gift.
“What am I, a penguin? It’s not a rock. It’s a pebble from the rooftop of our apartment building. I picked up a handful and put them in my pocket the first time she brought me up there. It was the first day we met.” Peter reminisced on the day you knocked on his door and asked if he was May Parker, Peters mail in your hands. That was the day you came into his life and changed it forever.
“That was the day I fell in love with her. And this pebble was there when it happened. I found some guy on 42nd street who turned it into a ring for me. I’m gonna give it to her on the last day of the trip. I was gonna web the words “I love you.” on the bridge like I did for her once in New York, but that might make it a little obvious that Spider-Man is a student at Midtown High. Do you think she’ll like it?” Peter asked hopefully.
“You’re gonna propose?” Ned said in a harsh whisper. “But, you’re so young and awkward.”
“Dude.” Peter said, hurt at his best friends words. “It’s not an engagement ring. It’s a promise ring. I want us to make a promise that we’ll always love each other, no matter what. It’ll rest on her finger until we’re old enough to get engaged. Then, I’ll get her an engagement ring. And it’s gonna have the biggest diamond on it that ever existed. Its gonna weigh her hand down so bad that she can’t even use it!” Peter squealed in excitement.
“That sounds…romantic.” Ned said slowly, not wanting to burst Peters bubble.
“I know right! I can’t wait for that. But for now, she’s getting a pebble on a ring.” Peter smiled proudly at his plan.
Peter pulled out the ring again and admired it with a content smile. He hoped you’d like it and understand why he got it. That rooftop meant everything to him. It was where he got to know you. Where he learned your secrets and told you his. Where he saw you become Venom for the first time. Where he fell in love. The ring carried an entire love story in such a little pebble.
“I think it’s a dope plan Peter. But why are you trying so hard? She’s already your girlfriend.” Ned asked.
Peter felt unsure of himself and looked down at his hands as he played with the strings off his backpack.
“I know, but.” He sighed. “You have to treat your girlfriend like you’re still trying to get her. That’s how you keep a woman. And, I don’t know. She’s felt different lately.”
“Different how?” Ned wondered.
“Like, distant.” Peter answered. “I know she hasn’t been sleeping. I hear her get up and night and she doesn’t come back until early morning. And her eyes are always swollen in the morning like she’d been crying. She hasn’t said anything to me so obviously she doesn’t want me to know what’s wrong, but I worry. I don’t want to pry but I want to help her. I can’t stand seeing her upset. I thought this plan might cheer her up.”
Ned shrugged, an indifferent look on his face.
“Do you not think I should do that plan?” Peter asked upon noticing Neds hesitance to the plan.
“I just think it might overwhelm her. Don’t forget, she’s been without you for five years. She’s used to being apart. Making her promise to be yours forever might scare her away.” Ned admitted.
“You really think that?” Peter asked worriedly. Overwhelming You was the last thing Peter wanted.
“I can’t say for certain, but maybe there’s a reason she’s distant. Maybe it’s too much too soon for her.” Ned shrugged.
“Are you saying we should break up?” Peter looked around for who could be listening. Lucky for Peter, none of his classmates really paid attention to him.
“Not break up, per say. But maybe take a break. We’re gonna be surrounded by thousands of exotic women Peter. We can be American bachelors in Europe.” Ned exclaimed. Peter didn’t match his excitement. “And then, when we come back, you can get back together. She went from being single for five years to living with her boyfriend overnight. It’s a big adjustment. Maybe she needs some time to explore. Have you asked her how that’s felt for her?”
“I...no.” Peter stammered, realizing he hasn’t bothered to ask how you were adjusting. “I assumed she was happy I was back. I didn’t think about it being too much too soon.”
“Of course she’s happy you’re back. But she could be pulling away because you’re pushing. You should talk to her. Or maybe, don’t talk and just dial things back. Act nonchalant. Girls love when a guy plays hard to get.” Ned nodded confidently.
“Really?” Peter wondered if his best friend was right.
“Absolutely. You should try it.” Ned said. Peter thought about it and nodded.
“Okay. Okay I will.” Peter said, despite everything inside him telling him not too. But Ned seemed to know what he was talking about.
Nonchalant. Peter could be nonchalant. He spent the remaining days leading up the trip being just that. He’d roll all the way to his side in the bed to give you room. He’d only kiss you when you ask and he kept his hands to himself. He didn’t ask about your day and didn’t tell you about his. Nonchalant. Peter was being nonchalant.
Only, it didn’t translate as nonchalant to you. You read Peters distance as him not wanting to be with you anymore. It’s like it happened overnight. All the sudden he was withdrawn from you. Peter used to worship the ground you walked on. Now, it was hard to get him to look at you. Dates were cancelled for patrol. Texts went unanswered and ignored. You wondered what happened make him act that way. Were you too old? Too different? Too clingy? You knew he was extra stressed from being Spider-Man. Were you stressing him out too? You didn’t want to be a nagging girlfriend and bombard him with questions, so you kept your mouth shut. You didn’t talk to him about his indifference. You went on suffering in silence.
The first sign of struggle on the trip occurred when you tried to take your seat on the plane next to Peter. Ned came up behind you and gave you a sympathetic look.
“Sorry, Y/n. This is my seat.” Ned said.
“Oh. But he’s 22C and I’m 22B.” You looked at Neds ticket. “You’re 13A.”
“Yeah, but, Peter asked me to switch with you so we could play Castle Smashers during the flight.” Ned gestured to his old fashioned video game.
“Is that true Peter?” You looked down at Peter who was already seated and conveniently never mentioned switching seats to you.
“A boy needs to smash his castles.” Peter shrugged, not looking in your eyes.
“Well I could just sit in 22A. It’s Betty’s seat and I’m sure she won’t mind switching.” You went to call for Betty but Peter stopped you.
“Nah. I think it’d be good for us to have some space. We both need it.” Peter finally looked you in the eyes. His expression didn’t match his words. He looked pained and like he hadn’t been sleeping.
“Space?” You asked. “What are you-“
“Y/n! There’s an empty seat next to me!” Brad stood up from his seat and waved you over. You didn’t want to sit with Brad. He was nice but a total jock and had no respect for your relationship with Peter. You looked down at Peter for help but he was staring out the window, already acting like you walked away. You let out a sigh and took your seat next to Brad. It was surprisingly okay. He tried to put your bag away for you, but you stopped him before he could.
“Allow me to get that for you, M’lady.” Brad said suavely.
“I got it. And I’m not ya’lady.” You sassed. Brad smiled despite your efforts to push him away.
You hoisted your bag up and put it in the overhead bin. Then, you picked his up and put it away too.
“Strong girl. I like that.” Brad complimented. “I didn’t doubt your strength. I just wanted to be chivalrous.”
You felt bad for jumping to conclusions that Brad assumed you were weak. He was only trying to be nice. Unlike some people.
“Well I appreciate your chivalry.” You said. And you did. You hadn’t been getting any from Peter.
“I have a dual headphone adapter. Did you want to watch a movie?” Brad asked when you took your seats.
You gave Peter another longing glance. He was deep in a conversation with Ned. He’d wanted you to come on this trip so badly and now it was like you weren’t even there. You let out a sigh and took out your headphones.
“Sure. Let’s watch a movie.” He agreed reluctantly.
During the flight, Brad got a little too close for your liking. It was either your thighs were touching his or his head was practically on your shoulder. Unbeknownst to you, Peter had taken notice. He immediately felt like an idiot for not sitting with you. What did Ned know? Ned wasn’t a love expect. Peter could make out your conversation with Brad from his seat with his enhanced hearing. He was relieved to hear that you weren’t giving Brad the attention he wanted. It’s not like Peter doubted you. But he didn’t trust Brad. Brad had made it abundantly clear that he liked you. He made a point of watching The L/N Report during class in full view of Peter. Peter could hear Brads heart rate pick up when you were near. Brad wasn’t a bad guy, but he was after Peters girl. That made him the enemy.
Peter got up to use the restroom and walked past you and Brad. You were busy pushing Brads head off your shoulder as he slept. You accidentally woke him up and he immediately started up another conversation with you. You didn’t meet Peters eyes as he passed and Peter knew he had upset you. As he closed the bathroom door, he could hear the distinct sounds of Brad asking for your number. You gave it to him to be polite after confirming he knew you had a boyfriend.
“You’re still with Parker? I had no idea. It didn’t seem like it.” Brad said coyly. He knew damn well you were with Peter. The comment made Peters blood boil nonetheless. He used the bathroom quickly so he could keep his eyes on Brad. As Peter opened the door, he came face to face with you. Peter quickly slammed the door and hastily cleaned the bathroom for you. He couldn’t have his girl using a gross plane restroom. He wiped the seat, handle, and the mirror before fixing his hair and popping some gum in his mouth. He gave himself a once over in the mirror and practiced a smile. When he opened the door again, he was met with Brads smug face.
“I told her to sit back down since you were clearly in here, stinking up the place.” Brad said causally. Peter could tell from his heartbeat that he was lying. It still pissed Peter off.
“Oh wow. I didn’t know The Blip only aged your body and not mind, since you clearly still have the maturity of a 12 year old.” Peter retorted.
“Whatever Parker. You’re just made that I get ten times the girls you get now.” Brad taunted.
“Ten times one is ten. You have ten girls? Jeez. I don’t know Brad. You might want to get tested for an STD.” Peter scratched the back of his neck as Brads face went red.
“I don’t have an STD. And you better watch your back, Parker. Because that one girl you have is about to be mine. Then you’ll have zero.” Brad got up in Peters face in the narrow space of the plane hallways.
“Careful, Brad. That was some pretty difficult math. I wouldn’t want you getting a nosebleed.” Peter looked Brad dead in the eyes as he spoke.
Brad took a step closer and was about to speak before you interrupted.
“If you guys are done measuring ding dongs, I’d really like to pee.” You sighed. Peter and Brad scrambled apart to let you pass.
“Peter was just telling me about the massive shit he took.” Brad stated quickly, just to say anything malicious at Peters expense.
“Brad has crabs.” Peter blurted. Brad looked panicked as he thought of a comeback.
“Peter has more crabs.” Brad one upped.
“Brad has bumps on his d-“ Peter began.
“Enough.” You cut them off. “I’m not interested in being the yard stick in your penis measuring contest. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to pee.”
“Yard stick?” Peter asked, confused and a little worried at your choice of words.
“Dude that’s 36 inches long.” Brad whispered looking skeptically at Peters crotch. Peter immediately covered himself.
“Don’t look at me.” Peter pointed at Brad.
“Damn girl, who were you seeing while Parker was making dust bunnies?” Brad laughed and Peter made a “really?” face. “Isn’t that right, swiffer sweeper?”
“Your mom.” You deadpanned. “Now let me through.” You pushed pass the boys and went into the bathroom. Peter and Brad resumed their stance.
“She will never be with you. Don’t even try it.” Peter threatened.
“I don’t want to fight you Parker. And I respect the Bro Code. But I really care about Y/n. I saw how you treated her today. She’s been texting MJ the whole flight about how hurt she is.” Brad said. Peters face fell. He didn’t know how bad it was. Brad saw Peters weakness and went on. “And I’ve seen her on The L/n Report. She’s different. She sadder now. The light isn’t in her eyes. I noticed it. Have you?”
“I-“ Peter stammered. Had he noticed? He couldn’t confidently say he had.
“I don’t want to cause any trouble, Parker. But I want Y/n to be happy. And right now, she’s miserable. Everyone can see it but you.” Brad said quietly, just to Peter.
“You don’t know the first thing about her.” Peter shot back.
“I know I could treat her better.” Brad replied. “She knows that, I know that, and you know that.”
“I don’t know anything.” Peter spat.
“Clearly. Cause if you did, you wouldn’t be letting a girl like that slip through your fingers.” Brad seemed angry now.
“She’s not slipping through my fingers.” Peter said, a little less confident this time. Were you?
“Oh really? Then how come she’s sitting with me?” Brad didn’t let Peter answer. Peter didn’t have an answer regardless. He stood there stupidly as Brad walked back to his seat with a smug look. Peter composed himself and went back to his own seat. He couldn’t stop thinking about what Brad said. Was Brad really better for you? Between what Ned said and now Brad, Peter was having serious doubts about his future with you. He turned around in time to watch your take your seat next to Brad. Brad smiled at you and offered you some of his plane snacks. Peter turned back around and felt like crying. Peter couldn’t feel you watching him, in an equal amount of pain. You didn’t want to be next to Brad. You wanted to be with your idiot boyfriend. You heard their whole stupid conversation from the bathroom. They were loud enough that you didn’t have to use your super hearing.
The plane landed several hours later and Peter dashed through the airport with Ned, leaving you and Brad behind. The first day was spent in Venice. You’d stare at Peter and when you weren’t looking, he’d stare back. Neither of you knew of the others longing. Peter couldn’t take it anymore. He didn’t want to listen to Ned. He wanted to listen to his heart. His heart knew one word, and it was your name. Peter snuck away from the group and bought you the Black Dahlia necklace.
“Must be for a special girl.” The salesman smiles as he wrapped the necklace and placed it in a tin.
“Very special.” Peter agreed. He didn’t notice the salesman staring him down as he browsed the other necklaces.
“What a lucky girl to have a boyfriend like you. What’s her name?” The salesman asked. Peter wished he’d hurry up in wrapping the necklace. He couldn’t help but feel like you weren’t that lucky to have Peter as a boyfriend. Maybe you’d be luckier if Brad was your boyfriend.
“Y/n.” Peter answered. He smiled fondly at your name. The salesman smiled back.
“Lovely name. I bet she’s a lovely girl too. What does she look like?” The man asked. Peter was a little tired of the questions but he’d never miss an opportunity to gush about his girlfriend.
“She’s very lovely.” Peer agreed. He went on to describe you in perfect detail, down to what you were wearing. The salesman listened closely and nodded as Peter spoke.
“She’s sounds incredible. Here’s your necklace. No charge.” The salesman said. Peter felt bad for rushing him. That man was kind, kinder than Peter deserved to be treated.
“Thank you very much sir.” Peter dropped a euro in the tip jar and made his way out of the shop. When Peter was far enough away, the salesman tapped a button behind his ear and his disguise melted away. Quentin Beck stood alone in the shop wand watched Peter make his way back to the group. Quentin now knew everything he needed to know about you, all thanks to Peter. And Peter didn’t suspect a thing.
Your hopes of this trip being good for you and Peter had fallen flat. It was doing the exact opposite. You barely saw him the first day. It was like he was going out of his way to avoid you. He stayed by Neds side mostly, occasionally sneaking glances at you. When a giant water monster attacked the city you were in, Peter completely disappeared. You wanted to stay behind and fight the monster, but you had to be responsible as the chaperone. You ushered the kids into a building and kept them calm until the monster was gone. You stayed in contact with Roger and the other chaperone, but neither of them had eyes on Peter. You were worried, to say the least. You knew he left his suit at home so he couldn’t be fighting the monster. You just hoped he was alright, wherever he was.
Peter snuck away from the group once again upon Fury’s request to try on his new suit. Peter was met with a pushy European lady trying to get him to take off his clothes. Peter reluctantly slid his pants off right as Brads fat ass decided to barge in.
“Woah there Parker. I was only joking about the crabs” Brad laughed. He whipped out his phone and started taking pictures, much to Peters dismay.
“Brad, stop! It’s not what it looks like!” Peter protested as he scrambled to pull his pants up again.
“Well it looks like you’re cheating on Y/n with some European chick. I bet she’ll love these pictures. And when she finally dumps you for being a terrible boyfriend, she’s gonna need my Asian shoulders to cry on. You made this too easy Parker.” Brad laughed some more as he left the room to go find you. Peter hastily put his pants back on and raced after Brad.
Peter sat in the back of the bus and slid Tony’s sunglasses onto his face with a little skepticism. How could the entirety of Stark Industries be inside a pair of oversized sunglasses?
“Hello Peter.” The glasses spoke. Peter jumped at the voice.
“Hi Edith. I need you to delete something off Brads phone. Can you do that?” Peter asked quietly so other students wouldn’t hear. Everyone was too busy with their phones to notice Peters glowing glasses.
“Sure. Locate Brad.” EDITH complied.
Peter scanned the bus for Brads big dumb head. He momentarily landed on you, sitting in the front with the other chaperones. Your head was buried in your phone as your thumbs were twiddling away. Peter couldn’t help but see what you were typing.
Y/n: idk he’s just acting super off
MJ: isn’t peter always off?
Y/n:…
Y/n: well yes
Y/n: but more than usual
MJ: do you think it’s bc he’s stressed?
Y/n: how can he be stressed when we’re in the middle of an european vacation
Y/n: I honestly think he just lost interest
Y/n: like he’s deadass gonna break up with me any day now
MJ: good bc im tryna phuck🙈🍆
Y/n: MICHELLE
Y/n: electric chair
MJ: sksksks
MJ: im sorry
MJ: just talk to him
Peter saw you sigh and put your phone away. Peter felt disgusted with himself. He let it get to the point that you thought he was gonna break up with you. No one deserved to feel insecure in a relationship. He knew he had to talk to you, especially before Brad did. Speaking of Brad…
Peter found Brad and locked his eyes on him. Brad was also texting. Peter could see the makeshift plans he was telling a friend about how he was gonna ask you out on the last day. Everyone had pretty much assumed you and Peter broke up due to his brilliant “American Bachelors in Europe” plan. Peter felt his vision blur at the thought of Brad making a move on you. You were Peters. Even if Peter wasn’t acting like you were.
“That’s Brad.” Peter told EDITH angrily.
“Is Brad a threat?” EDITH asked.
Peter thought about his conversation with Brad on the plane.
“Yes.” Peter decided. “Brad is a threat.”
That’s when shit hit the fan.
In a nutshell, Peter had to stop EDITH from literally bombing the bus. He sat back down in his seat after stopped the near missile attack and slid EDITH off his face. Maybe he wasn’t cut out to be the next Tony Stark.
The next few days were a little different. Peter would talk to you, and then disappear. You didn’t know where he went or who he was with, but you knew something was wrong.
The times he talked to you felt like old times. It reminded you of why you fell in love with him. You didn’t feel like he was purposely avoiding you anymore. It genuinely seemed like he wanted to stay, but couldn’t. Every time you thought you were getting somewhere with him, he’d vanish. Ned was usually there to give you a half baked excuse as to why Peter had to go. It was always the same.
“Peter isn’t feeling too well.”
“Peters stomach is actually bothering him.”
“Peter didn’t feel so good.”
Always the same.
You got tired of it fast. So when Roger said everyone had to watch an opera for four hours, you felt slightly overjoyed. It meant four uninterrupted hours with Peter. That was three hours and 58 minutes more than you were used to.
You caught up with him in the back of the theater. He was wearing a white button up and a blazer. You hadn’t seen him dressed up since Tony’s funeral. The sight made you smile.
“Hey.” You said shyly. Peter caught sight of you and his eyes slowly gazed your body. You were wearing a dress he hadn’t seen before, since you bought it during the five years he was away. You put on more makeup than and did your hair in a simple but flattering style.
“Hey.” He answered. For a moment, you felt like your old self again. The way you felt before the snap.
“You look really pretty.” Peter remarked.
“And therefore I have value?” You sassed. Peter didn’t pick up on your sarcasm, something he used to do perfectly. It was that same one step forward, two steps back feeling. He immediately began to scramble for an apology. You laughed and nudged him.
“Relax. I’m just messing with you.” You assured him. Peter sighed in relief and shouldered his backpack.
“And you look pretty too.” You said. Peter smiled at you. A sad look darkened his soft eyes.
“Y/n, I’m really sorry. About everything.” Peter stepped closer to you and touched your wrist. You wanted nothing more than to tell him it was okay and melt in his arms, You you needed more than a simple “I’m sorry.”
“What are you sorry for?” You couldn’t let Peter off that easy. You wanted, no, needed, a reason for his distance.
“I know I haven’t been a good boyfriend lately. But Ned got this idea in my head that I needed to give you space and I let it get to me. I tried to avoid you and let you breath but I was wrong for it. I should’ve talked to you about it first. I’m so sorry. I’m such an idiot.” Peter confessed. You should’ve known Ned was behind it. Ned had dubbed himself something of a love guru and was constantly giving out advice.
“You’re not an idiot. If I’m being honest Peter, I felt like I needed space too. I just wished you talked to me about it instead of making me feel like I did something wrong.” You told Peter. Peter sighed.
“I know. I know, baby.” He agreed. “And I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t have distanced myself from you. That’s the opposite of what I wanted. I had this whole plan for our time here. I was gonna take you on these romantic walks and stuff. I should’ve stuck to it. I can’t apologize enough.” Peter said. You accepted his apology. He sounded sincere and you knew he was. You just wanted things to be normal again. You didn’t want to fight.
“Its alright. I just miss you, you know? I lost you for 5 years because of Spider-Man. And now you’re back and it’s like you’re still gone.” You shrugged sadly.
“I’m here now.” Peter assured you. You wanted to believe him so badly. “I just feel like I ruined the trip.”
“You didn’t ruin it. We still have time to turn it around.” You pointed out.
“Barely. They’re cutting the trip short because of the Elementals.” Peter sighed, seemingly annoyed at the Elemental creatures attacking the vacation. You hadn’t heard that term used before for the monsters and wondered where he got it from.
“But we have tonight don’t we?” You brought the conversation back to what was important.
“Yea.” Peter nodded.
“Then why don’t you make it up to me by being my date to the opera? We can sit next to each other and wear those stupid little opera glasses.” You suggested shyly. A relived smile broke out on Peters face. He thought he completely blew it with you.
“I’d love too.” Peter said.
“And maybe we can go on one of those romantic walks tonight.” You added.
“That’d be perfect.” Peter was over the moon. Your words were music to his ears and balm to his aching heart.
“Good. I’ll save you a seat, yeah?” You asked, gesturing towards the rest of the students.
“Yeah. I’ll be right there.” Peter smiled.
You kissed Peters cheek before leaving to your seats. Peter watched as you walked away with a happy smile. Things were finally feeling normal again. His happiness was interrupted by Ned.
“You ready?” Ned patted Peters shoulder.
“Ready for what?” Peter asked.
“To fight the lava guy.” Ned said like it was obvious.
Peters heart dropped. He had completely forgotten about the promise he made to Nick Fury. He had to leave you again, right after he patched things up. He felt like leaving you now was the nail in the coffin for your relationship. Peter looked at where you were seated. You were looking around, fixing your hair and dress nervously. Brad was watching you as well. Peter was torn. He had a responsibility to protect everyone. Peter knew he was the only one with the abilities to stop the Elementals. But he also had a responsibility to you.
“Dude. You gotta go.” Ned spoke up. Peter sighed sadly.
“Will you please tell Y/n that I was sick? Like, super sick? Please try to make her understand. And tell her we can still go on the walk later.” Peter begged Ned.
“Yeah man. I’ll talk to her.” Ned said. Peter was envious of Neds innocence in this situation. Ned wasn’t the one who had to break your heart.
Peter nodded sadly and walked out of the theater. He ran back and gave you one last look. Brad had filled the seat you’d saved for Peter. Peter swallowed the lump in his throat and left.
“Y/n, wait.” Brad called your name. You looked up at the ceiling in annoyance and turned around. The opera was over now and you had plans for a romantic walk around the city. You were on your way to Peters room to ask him where the hell he went. He completely ghosted you during the opera. You weren’t even mad. You didn’t have the strength to be mad anymore. You just wanted answers. And Brad was only gonna hold you back.
“Yes Brad?” You asked through gritted teeth. You just wanted to talk to Peter.
“If you’re going down to the lobby, could you ask the front desk to send more towels to room 221? Flash used them all.” Brad asked you.
“Oh. Yeah, sure.” You said, not realizing how mundane his request was gonna be. Brad gave you a thankful smile in return.
You made your way to Peters room and were about to knock when your phone buzzed. You took it out and saw a text from MJ.
MJ: there’s some dude outside your door.
Y/N: what does he look like?
MJ: I didn’t see his face.
MJ: but he had long black hair.
MJ: and he was wearing a suit.
You looked up from your phone and froze. The phone fell from your hands in shock and you raced towards the elevators, not bothering to pick it up.
“Where’d he go?” You asked MJ once you saw no one standing outside your door.
“In your room. He had a bouquet. What’s going on?” MJ asked skeptically. Your heart raced as fumbled for your room key.
“Nothing. Just an old friend. I’ll talk to you soon.” You slipped inside and pressed your back against the door as you caught your breath.
“Loki?” You whispered. The tall Asgardian turned around and opened his arms to you.
“Surprised?” He smirked. He was in an all black suit with his hair neatly gelled back. You didn’t answer him. Instead, you ran into his arms and hugged him tightly. He lifted you off the ground and spun you around.
“What are you doing here?” You asked. He smiled and handed you a bouquet of roses. You were a little confused as to why he gave you earth flowers when his home had some of the most beautiful flowers in the galaxy, but you appreciated the gesture immensely.
“I had to see you. I’ve missed you, Y/n.” Loki announced. “You ran away so fast after our last encounter.”
Your cheeks heated up at his blunt reminder of the last time you’d seen him.
“I’m sorry about that. I usually don’t run away after kissing people.” You said sheepishly. Loki looked surprised at your answer.
“Kiss?” He asked. You nodded and laughed at his innocence.
“Do you not call it a kiss on Asgard? When I put my lips on yours, I mean.” You told him. You felt awkward having to explain it. It ruined the air of mystery you created around yourself.
“Right. The kiss. Forgive me, my memory isn’t what it used to be. Is that all we did?” Loki asked. If your cheeks were pink before, they were red now.
“Yes.” You confirmed. “We just kissed. That’s all.”
“As I said before, my memory fails me. Would you mind refreshing me on how it felt?” Loki wrapped an arm around your waist and pulled you in. He leaned in for a kiss but you pushed him back.
“Loki, I’m sorry if I gave you the wrong impression, but I’m with my boyfriend now. I can’t kiss you. I’m sorry.” You said apologetically. You didn’t know his intentions were romantic. You wouldn’t have let him in if you’d known. You were just happy to see a familiar face. Loki let you go and nodded.
“It’s me who should apologize. I didn’t know you had a boyfriend. I’ve been watching you for a while now. It didn’t seem like you were seeing anyone.” Loki apologized. He was too cool to be embarrassed.
“You were watching me?” You asked, feeling a little creeped out.
“Well Doctor Strange informed me of the Elemental Creatures that were attacking and asked me to use some of my magic against them. I declined his request until he told me that you were here. I wanted to see to it that you were safe.” Loki explained.
“Oh.” You said. You were beginning to realize how much you hated people thinking they had to protect you. You could protect yourself.
“Who’s your boyfriend? He’s not on this trip is he?” Loki wondered with a bit of poison in his voice. You blinked at his bitterness.
“Yes, actually. His name is Peter.” You answered.
“As in Peter Parker?” Loki examined his nails.
“How did you know?” You asked. He was slowly making you uncomfortable.
“Thor told me about him awhile ago when he fought him in that whole Captain America versus Iron Man debacle.” Loki stated, sounding unsure of himself like he hadn’t expected the question. “He’s Spider-Man right? What a shame that he still has to work on vacation.” Loki shrugged. He was started to sound less and less like himself, and more like someone trying to cause trouble. And his facts didn’t like up. Thor wasn’t at the battle at the airport. How could he have told Loki about Peter if he wasn’t even there?
“He’s not working. He left his suit at home.” You told Loki, discreetly checking where all your exits in the room were. You didn’t want to be there anymore.
“Yes, but Fury gave him a new one. He’s been fighting the Elementals with Mysterio the whole time you’ve been here. Didn’t you know that?” Loki asked with a wicked gleam in his eyes. He was definitely there to cause trouble, you were sure of it now.
“What? That’s not true. Peter would’ve told me.” You folded your arms.
“And yet, he didn’t. Shame. Lack of communication is the downfall of most couples.” Loki sighed dramatically. He had officially managed to both piss you off and confuse you.
“He’s been going out as Spider-Man this whole time? That’s why I never see him?” You asked. Things were starting to make sense. You should’ve known Peter could never leave Spider-Man behind.
“I guess he thinks Spider-Man is more important than you.” Loki shrugged.
“No.” You stated. “No, Peter loves me.”
“Is that why he lies to you and ignores you? Why he ditched you at the Opera? Why he sneaks around behind your back? Because he loves you?” Loki asked, almost like he was genuinely wondering.
“You don’t know what you’re talking about.” You said bitterly.
“Darling, I’m older than this city. I know exactly what I’m taking about. Forgive me, I didn’t mean to upset you.” Loki half apologized, his voice utterly lacking in sincerity.
“You didn’t upset me.” You lied. You just wanted him to leave so you could talk to Peter and go on your damn walk.
“Are you alright?” Loki stepped closer to you but you withdrew yourself from him.
“I’m fine.” You stated, not even believing it yourself. “It’s just, I snapped to bring Peter back. I risked my life for it and, and this is what I get? I feel like I saw him more during the five years he was gone than I see him now. And he’s lying to me? He’d never do that before the snap. I thought I had changed too much, but it’s him. He’s changed. It’s like I don’t know him anymore.” You said softly, looking anywhere in the room but Loki’s eyes. Loki’s attention focused on you as a devilish smile appeared on his face.
“You snapped?” Loki asked. You nodded, not thinking too much of the confession.
“Yea. I snapped the first time to bring everyone back. It nearly killed me. I lost my arm but Doctor Strange brought it back.” You thought about your next words. “I never told Peter. I didn’t want him to feel guilty. Or worse, I didn’t want him to feel like Mr. Stark was weak or something. Don’t tell him I told you any of this.”
“I’d never tell a soul.” Loki smiled. “Maybe you should end things with him. Leave him high and dry and hurting like he left you.”
“I’d never do that. I can’t just break up with him the moment things get hard.” You said, thinking back on your argument with Andy all those years ago. “But I do need to talk to him.”
“I see. I’m sorry to bring this all up. I just assumed you already knew. I best be getting on my ship now. I’m sure Asgard is having a hard time without me.” Loki crossed the room towards the door.
“Ship? Thor told me Asgard was on Earth now.” You asked. New Asgard was definitely on Earth. Bruce and Rocket definitely took a truck to get there.
“Is it?” Loki asked, not meeting your eyes.
“Yeah. He’s not there anyway. He named Valkyrie the new king and went off to space with the Guardians.” You said, realized Loki didn’t know any of this.
“Oh. Right.” Loki faked a smile.
“Did you know that?” You asked skeptically.
“Of course. My brother tells me about all his rendezvous. So annoying in that way.” Loki rolled his eyes and shook his head.
“It kinda seems like you didn’t. Have you talked to him since-“ you stopped. A queasy feeling filled your tummy.
Since you died.
Loki was dead. In the heat of the moment, you’d completely forgotten about his death. He died before the snap. Long before it. There was no way he could be standing in front of you.
“How are you-“ You began to ask.
“I really must be going. It was good to see you.” Loki said hastily before leaving your room. You sat down on your bed, your knees feeling weak. You didn’t know what was going on, but you knew that wasn’t Loki. It was someone doing a performance of Loki. You went over the questions he’d asked you, trying to figure out why anyone would impersonate Loki to get information out of you. All he asked about was Peter. You worried for Peters safety. Whoever that was knew Peter was Spider-Man and knew about your insecurities. You knew the only person you could talk to now was Peter.
