Hello tumblr folks sab tried to learn how to draw cats (failed) to share her cat skk design headcanons witj yall

-very skinny
ADA Catzai: (god i need to redraw that one he looks atrocious)
-lighter, brown fur (sun bleached, tho there are still some dark parts)
-fluffier, longer fur (is bro a bit healthier??), tho it constantly looks disheveled from jumping into riversband stuff (stupid wet cat)

-ginger cat yeah
-very fluffy but disheveled
-short legs, tho has unnaturally big paws (have yall seen baby lynx stompers) (something similar)

The worst part about being a fox therian is that even when I am partially accepted, it's usually because cats are telling me how horrible foxes are, and how I should've "picked a different species" because they think that's how it works.

Imagine being a fish. In RiverClan.
The closest I ever get to "acceptance" is my friends joking about how I would taste.

When Narinder opened his eyes, all he could see was red. Sharp red light illuminated the dark shadows, giving shape to dark wooden ceiling arches high above. The blinding light faded, and something pulled from his throat, gurgling and churning.
A dark liquid flowed from his lips, the harsh tugging leaving his throat sore and mouth dry. He coughed, turning over onto his side as the chanting within the darkness began to cease.
"Narinder!" A voice called. There was a clop of hooves on wood, approaching, loud, before a cold rush of air flowed over him and the face of a beautiful stranger leaned over him. White wool curled over their soft, grey cheeks, a pitch black crown nestled between two dark, tall horns. Their eyes were red, a deep color that reminded him of spilled wine.
They were speaking to him, he realized. This gorgeous stranger with soft clouds of wool, dressed in a striking red robe that complimented both their wool and dark grey fur, was speaking to him.
"Narinder," they said, worrying their bottom lip between sharp teeth, and oh, what another beautiful detail about them. "Narinder, are you okay?"
"I must have died," he said in a hazy voice, "for there is no living creature that can compare to the beauty of one such as yours."
Somewhere insignificant, there was a snort, and a hastily covered giggle. The beautiful stranger looked surprised.
"Narinder," they said, unable to tamp down a smile of their own, despite their worry. "You did die."
"Oh," he said. "Does that make it impossible for me to court you?"
There was another hastily covered laugh from somewhere else. He cared not from who or where, focused entirely on the beautiful stranger holding him in their arms. Since when had they drawn so close and touched him?
"I- I mean, I suppose you could," the stranger said, laughing to themself as well. "But, Narinder, we are already married."
"Oh," he said again, looking at the stranger, then down at their hands.
"Nari- Narinder!" the stranger laughed as he struggled to look, sitting up on his own and grabbing their left hand. He stared at the metal band upon their finger, his face twisting up.
"Oh," he said once more, his voice choked with tears, "I have no chance at all."
Unable to help themself, the stranger with white wool burst out laughing. Their laugh was one of fondness, laughter so full of love that Narinder couldn't stop his devastation from spilling down his cheeks.
"Kallamar," the stranger called, beautiful, loving delight in their voice. They took their hand from him, gently cupping his face and wiping away his tears. "Kallamar, help me get him to the healing hut please. Disciples of mine, send everyone back to their duties."
"Who is that?" Narinder asked, sniffling pathetically, paying no attention to the soft, gentle hands helping him up. Instead he clung to the stranger, leaning on them as they led the way from the dark building. "Is that your spouse?"
"Hah! Absolutely not," a voice beside him spoke. It was watery and high and soft despite its nasal tone. It didn't belong to the beautiful stranger, so he ignored it.
"No," the lamb said, gently grabbing his hand as they ducked inside another building. They lifted his hand and showed it to him, sitting him down on the bed and smiling. He wore a metal band on his finger, one that matched the band on the lamb's hand. "Narinder, you're my husband, my darling."
"That resurrection ritual did a number on him," the other voice, supposedly Kallamar, said, and there was a rustling of baskets and the clinking of glass bottles. "I've never seen him so... so... well, like me."
Narinder looked up at the lamb, and found they were no longer a stranger to him. The wetness on his cheeks, instead of devastating, now left him feeling mortified. The lamb smiled, their free hand cupping his face.
"Ah, there you are, my love," they said, attuned to his recognition. They kissed the top of his head, between his ears, and despite his embarrassment, he couldn't help but melt into the affection.
"What happened?" he asked, wincing at the way his voice cracked with previously shed sorrow. "Resurrection? Why do I find it difficult to recall..."
"A new side effect," the lamb muttered with a sigh, kissing the top of his head again. "You died, my love, and I brought you back. Kallamar?"
"I'll figure it out," the other voice grumbled, and Narinder finally tore his eyes away from the lamb to glance across the hut. A pale blue squid was pulling down several bottles from a high shelf with his tentacles, reading the labels and setting them aside in a growing pile-up. "I've not failed yet."
"Who is he?" Narinder asked, and Kallamar fumbled the bottle he was holding, glancing over his shoulder to stare at Narinder. A second later, the hand on his cheek gently turned him away, and he was face to face with the lamb again, that beautiful lamb.
"He's your brother," they said patiently, their thumb gently stroking the fur of his cheek. "He's going to help you get your memory back. Right, Kallamar?"
"I already agreed," Kallamar grumbled, and there was another clink of glass.
The lamb smiled, gentle and sweet, nuzzling their nose to Narinder's. He melted into the affection, his tail curling as a purr started up in his chest.
"Don't," Narinder started, unsure of what he wanted to say but saying it anyways. "Don't leave me alone."
"I won't," the lamb agreed. "I'll stay with you."

Can you try to make analysis of Cardan's style and clothing? I find it very interesting
cardan greenbriar the fashion icon analysis
hi! this is an interesting ask! i’ll try my best lol
let’s start w all of his outfits:
he’s described as wearing loose clothes at one point and at another, a ruffly shirt
it seems that in book one, he plays the role of balekins good, well groomed prince, dressing that way as well. he seems to favor loose clothing when he isn’t wearing fancy princely clothing
he wears jewels in his ear lobes and all along his ears, and many rings on most if not all of his fingers. when he is king, he wears more extravagant clothing, a cape of black feathers, the blood crown. it seems common attire for him to wear an embroidered jackets of velvet, leather, cotton, satin/silk, etc over a white ruffly loose shirt, and breeches w high boots, and a cape/cloak of different fabrics like feathers or fur. edit: there’s also the occasional accessory like “a ruff of owl feathers” or a breastplate or a waistcoat
anyway, i have thoughts abt him dressing that way bc partly he enjoys it but also partly bc he feels like he’s playing a part of somebody he isn’t, but slowly adapts into that role.
anyway onto qon,
ok my reading light fucking died but u get the idea lol also i can only put 10 pics on here
ANYWAY, moral of the story, he dresses in pretty typical fancy prince fashion, like i said above, the white ruffly undershirt, the breeches, the excessive jewelry, the boots w the (fur) jeweled/ iron tips, and a crown.
anyway i just thought abt how he wears a lot of jewelry and maybe it’s bc growing up he had nothing at all and wore rags which is so sad 😐
anyway hope this was sorta to your liking, ik it’s sorta disappointing for me to say that he dresses like any fae prince would but it’s true lol! thank you for the ask and i know i post a lot so i’m sorry if i spam your feeds and tbh if it’s too much i recommend u block me bc i still have like half a million asks to get to! 🫶

➵ blade has found his new rival— it came in the form of a dark-furred animal with four paws and orange eyes. he eyes it as you coddle it and sing a song. …it’s decided. this has gone too far. it’s his turn to be cuddled and coddled now.
It was a mistake— no, this whole thing was a mistake.
At first, it seemed like a good idea to him. In fact, he was the one who got the idea— he knew you love cats. So did he; he found the little creatures interesting and maybe just a tad bit cute. But you, on the other hand… you frequently gushed (clutching your chest, cooing, everything) over cat videos.
Cat videos. On the screen. It’s not even the real thing right before your eyes yet you acted like this.
But he thought that the smile on your face was far too precious and that it would definitely make you happy to have a cat of your own or a ‘furbaby’, as Bronie calls it.
When he proposed the idea, you instantly nodded. Then, you reveal a sickening number of tabs open on your phone, all containing research about the best way to take care of cats. He recalls the time you were complaining about your phone moving so slowly; he was about to ask you how long literally hundreds of tabs have been open on it, but then you give him that beaming smile that he’s always (secretly) felt weak to, and the question gets thrown to oblivion.
And just a day after that, you two were home with a cute little bundle of joy (your words, not his) and you were smiling unstoppably. To him, the cat wasn’t anything particularly remarkable. However, its black fur paired with orange eyes has apparently intrigued you.
“What are you gonna name him?”
“Pepper,” You reply, looking down at the cat. “Isn’t it fitting?”
“Pepper? That’s more like a dog’s name to me.”
You only laugh as the cat peacefully curls up atop your lap, looking much like a bundle of darkness rather than joy. Blade’s spot, he thinks. That’s where he rests his head as he naps or simply absentmindedly scrolls through his phone, but he lets it pass— it’s good to let the cat become very accustomed to you. It shouldn’t be a challenge to get the cat to warm up to you; perhaps he was biased, but if you asked him, he’d say it’s very easy to like you.
Months pass and Blade does get proven right; Pepper has given his verdict as to who his favorite parent is and, predictably, it’s you. You and Pepper work in tandem half the time— whenever the cat isn’t asleep, anyway. Wherever you go, Pepper goes.
Now: Pepper did like Blade, yes, but the cat was attached to you to the point that you couldn’t even take a piss without it scratching at the door to be let in. And on the other hand, you’ve taken to affectionately calling Pepper your son.
And this son… is coming in between his parents.
You see, earlier this day, Blade had been minding his business. It’s a weekend, and he’s sitting in bed, watching a show. You were right beside him, leaning onto him as your eyes are cast on the screen before you.
But after a while, before you two even knew it, watching turns into kissing.
“Ren…” You mutter against his lips as you lay below Blade. You were about to open your mouth to say something when suddenly, a walking nightmare on four legs slipped between Blade’s and your body.
And Pepper hisses at Blade.
“Aw, Pepper!” You turn to the cat, taking it in your arms. Blade parts from you, opting to lay beside you as you coo over your son, saying something about how he’s so adorable.
He watches as Pepper gets showered in kisses. “Aw, my cutesy, does Pepper want kisses too?”
Blade does, but that cat in your arms interrupted you two. He turns his eyes back to the television, slightly disgruntled. But once more, he lets it pass. After all, he did like Pepper too, even with all his kiss-stealing tendencies. Pepper was as much his… ‘son’ as much as it was yours.
He thinks that the cat must’ve sensed Blade’s somewhat lax behavior towards it; today, it’s really pushing its luck.
Lunchtime? Pepper rubbed his head all over your legs until you decide to give him some of the food on your plate despite the fact that he already had his own lunch and finished it with much vigor. Oh, what about the afternoon? You spent it playing with Pepper until he fell asleep. Dinnertime? Same modus as lunch.
And now… well, now, as you sit in bed, Pepper laid on your lap as though it was his personal seat. You didn’t seem bothered about it, not even one bit— in fact, you hummed as you pet its head affectionately.
And Blade? He’s sitting right beside you, phone in hand as he side-eyes Pepper.
This has gone too far. Isn’t it his time to be coddled too?
He wraps an arm around your shoulder, making you lean towards him. You oblige with a smile on your face but eyes still on Pepper. With his actions, the cat turns its head toward Blade and he swears to everything holy that the cat definitely must be annoyed at him. The only thing missing is for it to hiss at him again.
Eyes narrowed and looking directly at Pepper, Blade presses a kiss against your temple.
The cat stares back at him.
His arm tightens around your shoulder and his free hand reaches for yours—
“Ren, you’re a lot more clingy today,” You comment, finally looking at Blade. Then, you notice the expression on his face. You follow his eyes and you find yourself looking right at your son.
You cannot help the laughter bubbling up your stomach. It was ridiculous to you; was Blade having a silent competition with Pepper?
At the sound of your laughter, Blade’s glare at Pepper finally breaks and he looks at you, asking, “What?”
“Nothing,” You answer, sparing Blade the shame of having to admit silently declaring rivalry with Pepper. “You want kisses?”
“...Why’re you talking to me like I’m Pepper?”
You repeat, ignoring Blade’s reply, “You want kisses?”
Silence. Then, “Yes.”
You take Pepper in your arms, lifting him from your lap. You then put Pepper down on the bed before you turn your body to Blade. Your eyes flicker from Blade’s eyes and to his lips, then you lean even closer to finally kiss him.
His arms wrap around your body, holding you closer. Even as you pull away, he doesn’t let go of you.
So your hunch was right. With a smile on your face, you play with his hair, pushing his bangs away from his eyes. “I’ll make it up to you, alright? I’ll cuddle you and sing for you too, so you don’t have to sulk anymore.”
Blade defensively answers, “Who said I was sulking?”
“Oh? Do you not want me to cu—”
“I didn’t say that,” Blade interrupts. Then, in a quieter voice, almost as if he’s embarrassed, “I wouldn’t be jealous because of a cat.”
“I didn’t say anything about Pepper, though?”
“...Damn it.”

[̲̅B][̲̅l][̲̅o][̲̅s][̲̅s][̲̅o][̲̅m]
aahauahausagusha i feel like this sucks but ill post it anyways also reader is based off this post cuz i rlly like the idea sooooo.....also they're a hopeless romantic and so is gojo so what do u get when you get two hopeless romantics together? lovey dovey sappy shit<33 anyways enough of my yapping here's the fic.
Yellow lotus flowers symbolizes curiosity, openness, and hospitality.
Gojo Satoru was the strongest sorceror in the modern era. That much is true, but there are stong people out there, Okkotsu, Maki, Nanami…the list goes on. But they're all Grade 1 sorcerors, Satoru was one of the 4 Special Grade sorcerors. He was sure, but as it turned out there was a 5th one. Satoru would meet him soon.
White tulips symbolize warmth, trust, and fresh starts.
Satoru wasn't at all surprised that the higher ups were calling him, but what did surprise him was the urgency they held, when he arrived at their location and escorted in he realized why. The amount of cursed energy in the room was immense, much much more than Yuta's, but he also noticed something else, the person who had the crazy amount of cursed energy, your features were doll-like but also realistic, like those Disney shows where the main character is shown as "ugly" but when in the right clothes with the right colors they look almost unreal. Now, Satoru himself never had that but he couldn't deny that you were attractive. The hideous voices of the higher ups broke Satoru out of his trance. He reminded himself why he was here, after a good 5 hours in the wretched room he walked out with a new companion by his side. He turned to the shorter man:
"Hey you wanna eat?" "Hell yeah."
Satoru decided it'd be best to walk to a cafe instead of bugging Ijichi who was accompanying Itadori and Megumi on a "field trip" (they're fighting their ass off). The cute guy with him was yapping animatedly motioning with their hands, Satoru felt himself loosen up in his presence, it felt great to be able to talk to someone like this after being around dark and brooding people (excluding Panda and Itadori). He laughed at something you said as you both entered the cafe, it was small and had cats which perfectly catered your interests, a white fur blue eyed cat trotted up to you and meowed, you cooed and bent down to pick him up, his fur was soft and his meows were so cute!! You rubbed the spot behind his ears as he purred. Satoru felt a slight tinge of jealousy, it didn't help that the cat looked like him, "Come on let's go sit," he leads you to a two seat couch, you sit down and place the cat on your lap, you noticed a metal name tag on his collar it read: Takayuki, he nuzzled himself into your lap and meowed. However Satoru tore your attention away by asking for your order, "Oh maybe uhhhh a vanilla frappuccino?" Satoru nodded and asked, "Anything else?" You shook your head and he went back to looking at the menu. Suddenly you felt the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, something was off. You glanced at the door and you knew why, standing there was a man with long black hair and priest robes, you recognized those stitches across his forehead, it was someone you'd met when they were in a different body, you remember the gross liquids that flowed down the body's head when he took off the stitches, the body he took was someone who was close to you, a childhood friend. You only remember him asking you to take care and to remember him for when they met in the future, you turned to Satoru who'd also seen him but there was something in his eyes, a glimmer of recognition. Perhaps it was the body Kenjaku was using? Satoru grabbing your wrist broke you out of your stupor, his grip was a bit tight but you understood why. He rushed you out, scaring Takayuki on your lap, as you ran past Kenjaku you noticed he was staring at you with a cunning smile. You felt the paranoia rise in you as a million thoughts ran through your head at what Kenjaku is doing and why?
Aconites represent solitude and the rejection of others. Giving this flower to someone is said to represent saying Leave me.
sighs this took a beating from my mom to write but what will kenny do!?!?!??!!? only time will tell hehehe

hey this might be weird question, but i had my jellycat stuffy (fuddlewuddle dragon) for a couple years now and the fur keeps covering the eyes. like i try to stroke it into different directions but it keeps going over the eyes. Do you have any recommendations on how to get the hair to stay out of the eyes? i just want to look in their king black eyes again! thank u<333
I have gotten this question before and provided a detailed answer as to how I trim Jellycat excess eye fur (and sometimes even fur around their noses) so you can actually see them. It makes a huge difference. I can't find that answer anymore so I'm gonna put it out there again for anyone interested:
1. I use very fine, super sharp nail scissors, but small sewing scissors work, too!
2. Your goal is to cut away any excess fur covering the eyes, but generally less is more because when it goes wrong you end up seeing the seam so be very careful!
3. I usually start by cutting the smallest amount and after every cut, I blow the fur out of the eyes to see what it looks like and what still needs to be cut. Once you are more comfortable with the scissors, you can cut off more/bigger pieces of fur, but it's good to start small.
4. It's also helpful to have a small comb handy and combing the fur back over the eyes. That gives you an idea of how much excess there is and helps you cut it more evenly.
5. Finally, this isn't rocket science, just do it very carefully. Even I have gotten really good at it with my terrible fine motor skills so I'm sure it will be a success.
Good luck!

Healing Hearts
Warning for implied Animal and Child Abuse, though nothing graphic, please take care of yourselves.
***
Cloud was a very small and very hopeful cat. Her fur was as gray as the storm clouds she had been born beneath and her family had expected great things of her. She had been very energetic as a kitten, looking forward to finally being big enough that she could help out and be of use.
To finally be as proud as her big brother, as strong as her mother and as crafty and swift as her father. There was plenty to do with climbing trees to look for birds, tracking mice and keeping lookout for the pack of wild dogs.
But as it turned out, Cloud wasn't very good at many, many things. She fell out of trees when she tried to climb them, she rarely landed on her feet and couldn't stealth through tall grass if her life depended on it. She got distracted watching out for the wild dogs and failed to warn her family in time.
"Maybe it's better if you leave," her brother told her one day, annoyed and tired. His heart was clearly troubled and grim with unpleasant determination. "You are ruining the hunt for all of us and it's unfair that we work hard just to keep you fed when you can't do anything for us."
"I'm doing my best," Cloud protested, upset and hurt and panicked at the idea of being all alone. Of being cast out. "Where would I even go?"
He flicked his tail dismissively. "Anywhere that's not here. Mom and Dad already expect a new litter of kittens and it will be hard enough for us to get them through winter without you there, mooching off of us."
When Cloud looked beseechingly at her parents, her father was studiously looking to the side, tail flicking restlessly. His heart was dark and heavy with what they had decided to do and yet he was too scared to meet her eyes, too scared of seeing the pain he was causing.
Her mother was tired and half asleep, her eyes were apologetic but she didn't speak up. Her heart was worn and exhausted and busy guarding the growing lives beneath it in her belly.
"Go," her brother said quietly, brushing past her. "I'm sure you'll find your place somewhere out there."
Cloud didn't leave right away, even as her heart felt cleaved in two. She lingered and skulked along the edges of her home, until at last the silence of her family drove her fully away.
She felt so desolate, it was nothing but pure luck that she didn't run into the pack of dogs or any other trouble. She walked until it started to rain and then she curled up within a hollowed tree along one of the dirt paths humans had made to travel along.
It took her a long moment to notice the whimper over the gentle, steady rain. Her ears flicked and for a second, she considered not getting up. She was grieving and tired and felt as though her heart had turned to paste, but at last she dragged herself to her feet.
Following the noise, she soon came upon a big, black dog, scars across its muzzle and it was tied down to the ground with a fraying, rough rope. Cloud stilled, startled, but the dog didn't react. He just remained curled up, shivering a little.
"Are you alright?" Cloud asked after a moment and the dog blinked one eye open. He looked very sad and very small, even though he was big. His heart was the darkest and heaviest Cloud had ever seen, filled with pain and grief and worthlessness.
"I was a bad dog," the dog said at last, quiet and so mournful it broke her heart a little. "I always mess up everything."
Despite herself and all her family's warnings, she felt a pang of understanding sympathy. She hesitated, then approached the desolate dog, noticing that he was lashed down so tightly he couldn't get up even if he wanted to.
"What happened to you?" she asked, aghast and the dog closed his eyes again, curling up tighter.
"My master didn't want me," the dog said in the tiniest voice and Cloud was horrified, before anger overtook her. She marched up to the dog and started to chew and claw at the rope until the frayed part snapped.
"Get up," she said and nudged at the startled dog until he clambered to his feet. He was too thin to her liking. "You can't stay here."
"Then where do I go?" the dog asked, fur matted and ears drooping. "I'm not gentle enough with children, too stupid for tricks, too dumb for guarding and too cowardly for fighting. I'm good for nothing."
The words hit home harder than Cloud had thought. She, too, was good for nothing. Too clumsy for climbing, too loud for sneaking and too easy to distract for keeping watch.
"I don't know," she answered at last. "I don't know where to go either." At least he was free now.
When she turned around to leave, the dog hesitantly crept after her. When she didn't protest, he followed her all the way to the hollowed and now they were both curled up within. The space was just barely big enough for them to fit.
After a moment of staring outside Cloud got up again and he looked visibly startled when she curled up against his side. He was warm, even if he smelled of stale air and dust.
They remained there as they waited out the rain and night fell. Some owls hooted and a fox screeched and the dog flinched a little, but stayed calm when she didn't react.
At the first hint of dawn, hunger drove Cloud to her feet. The dog followed her again as they walked down the road in the direction most of the humans traveled.
"Where is your family?" the dog asked quietly after a moment.
Cloud had to wait until her throat stopped aching with grief until she could respond, "They don't want me." She glanced up at her big companion. "I'm not good at anything either."
The dog looked upset on her behalf and hesitated, then offered, "Maybe we can be good at something together?"
That made Cloud thoughtful. Maybe the dog was right, she decided as they walked. Maybe if they worked together, they could make it. "Alright," she said at last and the dog perked up hopefully. "Come on, I think I know where to get food."
The dog looked relieved and eager. As they crested the hill, a settlement came into view. Cloud's family had always warned her away from those places, but she had overheard birds chatting with each other, as they watched her try and fail to climb. They found her clumsiness greatly entertaining.
"People leave food they don't eat outside," she told the dog when he hesitated to set foot into the small town. "We'll be careful. And look, it's still early, so barely anyone is awake."
Hesitantly, the dog followed her at last, almost crawling with how small he tried to make himself. Now came the tricky part. Cloud had heard the birds talk about food, but she had no idea where exactly she was supposed to find it.
She made sure no one spotted them, winding around corners and ducking into hiding spots until the dog suddenly lifted his head.
"I smell something. This way." They followed his nose and soon Cloud smelled what he had caught on the wind. The scent of blood and meat.
There was a building where humans clearly did their killing, which was strange but she wasn't going to question it. Not when bits and pieces got tossed outside. The downside was, they weren't the only ones. Other dogs milled nearby, while wary cats watched from the shadows, ready to swoop in and grab what they could.
"We can find food elsewhere," the dog whispered, looking scared of confrontation. Cloud was about to agree, when their stomachs growled. It hurt and the sound his stomach made was so much worse than hers. He needed food. They both did.
She took a deep breath and stepped forward, her new friend whispering in warning, but to her surprise, he followed still. The dogs paused in their excited staring at the big window and four heads swiveled to look at them.
"Fuck off, kitty," the meanest looking one growled at her, heart sparking in warning like a fire about to blaze bright. "Or you're part of our breakfast."
Her heart was pounding, but even if she was good at nothing, at least she could be brave. She had to be, or they'd go hungry. So when the dog lunged forward with a snarl, she lashed out. It was nothing but pure luck that she had moved when she had.
Her claws dug deep into the dog's nose and with a pained yowl they flinched back, dripping blood and now they looked scared, the fire in their heart doused swiftly. The rest of the pack lunged to attack and it became a frenzy of clawing and biting and her new friend joined the fray, determined but just as bad at fighting as he had said he was.
"Enough!" someone shouted above and they all flinched apart, staring up at a disgruntled human. "There is enough for all of you, so stop or you'll get nothing at all."
Cloud backed up a step and the pack reluctantly did the same. The human sighed and reached inside to start emptying two buckets, making sure to spread it out as much as possible so everyone got something.
"Hungry lot," he muttered as they all started to snap up pieces. Even the other cats hurriedly grabbed whatever had fallen closest to them. The man's heart was kind despite his rough voice and sharp words and Cloud found herself relaxing a little.
Cloud's big friend managed to snag a piece the size of his head, along with something smaller that dangled from one tooth. Cloud herself grabbed the biggest piece she could and they hurriedly retreated until they felt safe enough to eat.
They laid in the sun together afterwards, sated at last and they enjoyed the sun after a rainy day, keeping an eye out for trouble. They soon explored the town and started to map out the alleys and streets. Cloud made a note of which people were nice and which weren't.
There were so many hearts, good and nasty, bright and dark. Many shifted throughout the day, reflecting the emotions people went through. It helped Cloud in figuring out which humans would be willing to share their food, making her seek out the ones who had happy or soft hearts.
The dog managed to sniff out more places that tossed food outside and Cloud managed to be fast enough to swipe a small fish and later a sausage from someone handing it out to other humans in exchange for something shiny.
"We're doing good so far," Cloud said and the dog hummed in agreement, looking tentatively happy.
They found a place for the night and as the days passed, they settled into a new routine. In the mornings they waited by the butcher, as the man and his employees were called, who threw them all the bits and pieces humans didn't want to eat. Sometimes he tossed them things that smelled a little old, as though they were about to rot, but those were still edible enough for the alley animals.
In the afternoons, Cloud and her friend lingered by the market or other places that had nice people and they ate whatever else they were given or tossed. They sometimes got into fights over food or territory, but managed to establish themselves well enough to get by.
She was vicious and her companion was big and even if he wasn't good at fighting, he learned to pin down whoever recoiled after getting hit by Cloud's claws. It wasn't pretty, but they made it work.
One afternoon, while Cloud was looking up at a woman with a kind heart with big, pleading eyes, she noticed a struggling crow overhead. The bird looked to be young and one wing was clearly injured. It flew from the roof to the next, barely making the journey. When it tried to get further away, it tumbled and disappeared in a nearby alley.
Accepting the piece of ham Cloud was given, making a quick, sweet noise in thanks, she hurried to where the bird had fallen. She found it crouched between a half broken crate and a trashcan, looking like it was panicking.
Upon looking closer, the wing wasn't just hurt but tangled up in some kind of see-through, tough string or wire of some kind. The crow's heart was so heavy with grief and fear it might as well have been made of a large stone.
"Do you want some help?" Cloud asked politely around her piece of ham and the struggling bird froze in place, staring at her with wide eyes. "I promise I won't hurt you. Where is your family?"
"Gone," the little bird croaked faintly at last, heart growing even heavier. "I'm alone."
Cloud winced a little. Losing one's family was awful. She set the ham down and carefully approached. The small crow was clearly too terrified to move, but when Cloud started to carefully pull off the string tangled around the wing, the crow inhaled sharply.
When the string was removed entirely, the little crow stared at her in astonishment. A small gurgle of hunger came from the bird's stomach. Cloud thought for a moment, then offered her the piece of ham.
"Can you eat that?" she asked and the bird bobbled a quick nod. "Don't stay here too long, or someone will find you."
With those words, Cloud departed, only to hear struggling hops behind her. Glancing back, she saw that the crow was following, only to stop, ham pinched in her beak.
"Come on then," Cloud decided after a moment and the crow hop-walked to her side hurriedly, glancing around nervously.
Cloud lead the crow back to where the dog was dozing in their hideout and introduced them to each other. It quickly became clear to the bird that she had nothing to fear and the dog was more worried about getting pecked than she was about getting bitten.
And thus, Cloud gained another friend.
They became known as an unlikely trio around town. The little crow, once her wing healed, flew overhead to scout around. They managed to swindle and steal enough food for themselves and kept each other safe from those who did not like having them around.
The hearts of her companions slowly lightened, losing some of the unhappy dimness. They were still burdened, but they had perked up a bit, had regained some of the spirit the world had stolen from them.
Cloud thought they scraped by just fine and she thought about her family in the forest less and less. Her life was going well, most days.
Sometimes they had to fight harder than usual to have something to eat or to avoid mean people and sure, sometimes she was envious of the pets that had cozy, warm homes where they were always well fed, but those feelings always faded away soon.
She could have found a human for herself, but that would have meant abandoning her friends. She wasn't going to do that. Not when she wouldn't have come as far without them.
It was a gray day, as gray as her fur, with a storm rumbling in the distance, shaping up to be as wild as the one she had been born beneath, when she heard crying. It was human-crying as well, not animal-crying.
Humans usually took care of themselves just fine, but something about the sound didn't sit right with her. Peeking around the corner, Cloud saw a young girl sitting crouched beneath an awning, clothes torn at one shoulder. She was pressing herself against a firmly closed door.
"Please, let me in," the girl begged in a keening voice and her heart was an open, bleeding wound in her chest, oozing despair and panic. "I promise I won't do it again!"
"Go away," someone shouted from beyond the door. "Be lucky we don't just burn you at the stake!"
"I promise I'll never do magic again!" the girl begged around a sob. "I promise I'll be good!"
"Don't lie, we both know you're good at nothing and good for nothing," the voice answered harshly. "Go, this is the only chance I give you, for your late mother's sake. She should have never let you live when you were born with the witch mark."
The girl cried harder and begged again, but no voice answered this time. She slumped down the door at last, curling up tight and cried. Cloud hesitated, then slunk forward. The girl looked up at her meow and when Cloud nudged her leg, she found herself scooped up by trembling hands.
The girl was warm and cried until she was too exhausted to continue. The door didn't open and no one came for the girl. Cloud stayed with the girl for so long, waiting, that the dog and crow came looking for her.
"Come on," she said at last and nudged at the girl until she got up and followed them.
The hideout was a little small for a human girl, but they made do, curling around her to keep her warm. Her heart was still open and bleeding, still oozing despair, but the panic had softened and was nearly gone, instead replaced by exhaustion.
They were going to take care of her, Cloud decided and when she looked at her friends, their hearts and gazes reflected that same decision.
It was more difficult to keep a human fed, that was for sure. Cloud and her friends worked hard to get enough food and the girl never complained and helped as much as she could, begging for the shiny coins that the crow started to look for.
She once came back with a piece that made the girl gasp and they didn't go hungry for an entire week. They ate the best food they had ever gotten that week.
The girl was smart, Cloud realized. She knew exactly where they could go to get food and as time passed, Cloud observed her doing strange things. Things no other human did. She stood beneath the full moon and her skin seemed to glow the faintest bit, sometimes she held things in her hands she couldn't have gotten on her own and sometimes she got little glimpses of the future.
Other people started to notice as well sooner or later. They got no more food from the butcher or the other shops and previously nice people avoided them in the streets.
"We don't feed witch-cats," one man who had always given her a piece of fish hissed at Cloud when she meowed sweetly at him. "Leave!"
"My uncle says I'm a witch," the girl murmured when she lit a fire with the snap of her fingers. They had no food tonight, hadn't had much to eat that wasn't stolen out of trash cans in days. "It won't be long now before they decide to burn me. And...I fear what they will do to you."
There was only really one solution then. Cloud exchanged a glance with the dog and crow and that night, while the town slept, they left. On the way out, they stole everything they could.
The crow stood guard outside and sat on windows, watching people sleep as the girl whispered at doors so the locks clicked open. They left with sacks of shinies the girl had used in the past to get food and old skins to stay warm. Next they grabbed food and better, good skins to wrap up in and then they disappeared into the night.
They managed to find their way through the dark, with the crow's eyes in the sky, the dog's nose and Cloud's ears. They fought off whatever dangers came their way as they traveled with cunning and sheer viciousness and a healthy dose of desperate determination.
But as the air grew colder with the passing days, Cloud realized they needed some place to settle. The girl wasn't strong or old enough to make it through winter out in the open and it was slowly growing colder. Luck was on their side at last, when they stumbled across an old cabin, surrounded by a crumbling stone wall.
"A witch's hut," the girl whispered. "I heard rumors that those places draw witches to them when they stand empty for too long, but I didn't think that was true."
It was dusty and smelled old and stale inside, but all the walls were intact, the roof didn't leak and the windows didn't creak. A fire was lit swiftly in the chimney and they curled up, their hearts glad for a dry, warm place to sleep in.
Soon the downright dreary, slightly creepy place transformed. It was as though it came alive the more they made it their home. The floorboards gleamed like they had been recently polished when they were dusted and washed, the walls looked freshly made when the cobwebs were all swiftly removed.
The garden grew and transformed and with each day, the crumbling garden wall seemed to repair itself. Weeds disappeared and vegetables and herbs grew strong and vibrant instead, offering a last, big bounty before winter came.
The brighter and warmer the place became, the more it turned into their home and Cloud watched the hearts of those around her to grow lighter in turn. Relief at having finally found a safe place softened everyone and allowed hope to shine brighter and brighter the more time passed.
They had found a true, proper home at last and after some exploring once winter had passed, they discovered a village nearby. They cautiously ventured into it to trade shinies for things. Soon it was a normal sight for the residents to see the girl with her animal companions.
The local herbalist was willing to take the girl under her wing and as they were accepted by the village, they settled into a better, warmer and well-fed life. The girl grew older and as the years passed, Cloud noticed that she didn't really age anymore and neither did the dog and crow.
"Well, you're my familiars now," the witch said, carefully cleaning off small crystals she had found in a river. She smiled wide and happy. "That means we're family for as long as you want to be."
Oh, that was very sweet. Cloud cuddled up to the witch and got the best scratches in return.
"You know," the dog said that evening as they dozed on the thick, soft carpet in front of the warm fire. Snow was slowly falling outside, but they felt none of the cold bite inside. "I'm so glad you found me that day. Even if I'm good at nothing, I still have a life I could have never dreamed of."
Cloud frowned at that. "But you are good at many things," she said and when the dog looked ready to protest, she hurriedly tacked on, "Your nose saved us many times and you always found food for us no matter what. You kept us from going hungry."
The dog ducked his head, bashful but hopeful so she kept talking, "Even if you say you can't fight because you're too cowardly, you always helped me no matter how scared you were. That's real bravery, you know?"
"Oh." The dog was quiet for a long moment, then whispered, "You really think so?"
"Yes, there is no doubt," Cloud said firmly.
The crow flapped down from her perch in the rafters and nodded. "You're strong and big and warm and you always take care of us," she said. "Whoever told you you're good for nothing lied to you. You guys..." She hopped a little closer, voice going warm. "You're my family. When I had nothing, you came and gave me everything."
The dog gently nudged their heads together with a little rumble. "And you're mine." He was quiet for a long moment. "I...never thought about it that way. Do you really think I'm pulling my weight?"
"A hundred times over," Cloud said with certainty, then nudged the crow as well. "And you're our family too."
The crow chirp-cawed happily and they laid snuggled together on the carpet. The crow was asleep and Cloud was about to doze off when the dog murmured, "You're no good-for-nothing either."
Cloud opened one eye and he shifted his head to look at her. "You saved me when no one else would have and you have done the same for our crow friend and our witch." The dog tipped his head a little to the side. "And then you helped us figure out how to survive. We wouldn't have made it if we hadn't all stuck together, if you hadn't found us. So, you know, you're definitely good at something."
Cloud was wide awake now while the dog fell asleep, snoring ridiculously loud within moments. She watched the dog and crow a moment longer, then looked up to where their witch was making a protective charm for a worried villager.
When the witch noticed her staring, she looked up and smiled. "Sleep," the witch whispered. "We're safe here. Safe and happy and we're going to stick together, won't we?"
Cloud chirped a little noise in agreement and settled down. Her heart felt full and as warm as the fire they laid near.
Without realizing, without even meaning to, she had ended up getting everything she had ever wanted. A family that loved her and a purpose, as strange as it may look to others. And sure, she wasn't good at any of the things other cats were good at, but now she didn't have to be. Now it was a good thing that she was strange and different.
She fell asleep with a smile and in the morning the world outside was snowy and cold, but her heart still glowed bright and warm. And when the witch looked knowingly at all of them, when Cloud noticed that they all walked unburdened, she realized they had done it.
They had healed the wounds on their hearts.

A puppy who hides his mistakes is not better than a mixed race dog! Not even deserve be called dog!
Npc Students: UGH!

Angel Dust Re-redesign🕷️🕸️
Made a re-redesign of my redesign of Angel Dust. The left ones my new one, the right one the old one.
The main reason I wanted to re-redesign my Angel Dust was because I felt like It could’ve been more “former mafioso” and androgynous coded. For my Angel I’m going for a journey of self expression, finding a happy medium after being pushed to be in one thing his whole life and afterlife. First by his family to be more masculine , then Val pushing him to be more feminine before finally meeting people like Charlie, Husk and the rest of the Hotel that encourage him to just be himself💜
Changed the blazer to a shirt in a tie knot. I can def see him get a blazer overtime thanks to loving Charlie’s so much.
Changed the eyes to both being black for a spider vibe and wanted the pupils to look big for the spider coding plus when often doing drugs, a common side effect is dilated pupils. Subtle hint to how he died…💊💉
Added the webbing unto the collar and corset top instead.
Changed his thorax, fur patterns and colors a bit.
Went for one set of long gloves and one pair of short gloves. They were actually fairly popular in the 40’s(when he died).
Did some research and there’s a lot of jumping spiders. For Angel I decided to make him a bold jumping spider. @a-sterling-rose shared a cool idea that an overlord can change their contracted souls appearence to fit their tastes and Val recoloured Angel into white and pink, aswell as made his stripes heart shaped. Here are some pics of what bold jumping spiders look like.
What do u think? Which design do u like best? I’d love to know💖

My idea for a rewrite of My Immortal that doesn’t involve Harry Potter.
Hi my name is Ebonydarknessraven (I have two warrior names because I’m so talented at hunting) and I have long ebony black fur (that's how I got my name) with strands of lavender tied to my fur and red petals nestled in the fur that goes to about my mid back and icy blue eyes like limpid tears and a lot of people tell me I look like Hollyleaf (AN: if u don't know who she is get da hell out of here!). I'm not related to Scourge but I wish I was because he's a major fucking hottie. I'm a vampire cat but I don’t transform into an ugly fucking bat. I have a pale white tummy. I'm also a warrior, and I live in a place called ShadowClan in the forest where I’ve graduated my apprenticeship a while ago (I'm seventeen moons old). I'm a goth (in case you couldn't tell) and I wear mostly dark feathers and flowers. I love the twoleg houses nearby and I find all my outfits from there. For example today I was wearing a black collar with silver spikes with matching lace around it and a black ribbon around the base of my tail, pink bows by my ears and black dyed dog fans hanging around my neck on a black string. I was wearing crushed up coal as black lipstick and black eyeliner and crushed rose petals as red eye shadow. I was walking outside the ShadowClan territory. It was snowing and raining so there was no sun, which I was very happy about. A lot of preppy ThunderClan warriors stared at me. I put up my middle finger at them.
"Hey Ebony!" shouted a voice. I looked up. It was... Crowfeather!
"What's up Crowfeather?" I asked.
"Nothing." he said shyly.
But then, I heard my friends call me and I had to go away.

Weekly tag Wednesday !!
Thank you Kat @mybrainismelted for the tag :D
Name: Dean :D
Age: 18 :)
Location: Maryland
top sheet, yes or no?: nah, don’t care, I got better blankets to use even in the summer
how many stuffed animals do you own?: a shit ton, there’s a gap between my bed and the wall so I just line them up there to fill in the space, plus they make great pillows. Some I can live without, some are dying with me. Id estimate 20 or more?
the names of your pets (and the explanations behind them): if we’re doing just my pets, starting with alive, I have a black cat named Salem we adopted in October so we tried to give her a spooky name. Her name before that was like princess starshine or something? And now to dead ones, I had a cat named sox, bc her fur pattern made it look like she was wearing socks and I thought it was cute. When I was a kid I had a white rabbit whom I named snowball for obvious reasons, before her was a rabbit named furball, don’t remember how I got to that. Other honorable mentions I would not be able to explain: Bailey (dog), mr. jingles (cat), 8 ball (dog), Roxy (dog), Shelby (dog)
favorite color: yellow, which was also my assigned color as a kid, and what people always associate with me
Any tattoos? No, but i plan on some!!
how you transport your belongings (purse, tote, hands, pockets, etc.): depends on where I’m going and what I’m doing but usually pockets, the jacket I always wear has SO many pockets and can hold so many things perfectly and easily. If I’m going out on a day trip I have a small backpack I’ll use, especially for stuff that won’t fit in my jacket pockets (water bottle, extra meds, etc)
the last movie you watched: me and my friend started the perks of being a wallflower the other week except I fell asleep 20 minutes in. Otherwise I’ve been watching psych which has movies
how long does it take you to get ready in the morning?: getting ready itself is a 10 minute affair, waking up takes an hours worth of alarms
favorite weather: anything hot, if it’s below 75F I’m cold, and I prefer it to be 85-95. It’s 91F and I had to fix the pool and I’m living my best life. I love a good summer rainstorm too
relationship status: single but there is a guy I like :)))
ice cream flavor of choice: cotton candy, cake batter, coffee, mint chocolate chip, vanilla
first fandom: Harry Potter
how many books have you read this year?: I don’t think I’ve finished a book but I’ve started some? Most were for ap lit which sucked, “the road” I hate you !! Started “the night stages” by Jane urquhart before school got in the way as it always does. Maybe once my brainrot dies down I’ll read more books.
first 4 words of your last notes app entry: it’s a drawing of me showing different cursive Cyrillic letters to explain why I’m struggling (specifically, cursive о and д )
and finally, if you had to change your URL tomorrow, what would you change it to?: I have absolutely no idea. I used to change my url to have it match whatever fandom I was into but I was moving between them a lot it got hectic so I wanted something not associated with anything. I have a supernatural backup saved, so either that or dandelions-from-Dean, or something else flower related
Tagging !!
@especially-fuk-u @spookygingerr @mickittotheman @jademickian @atthedugouts

i saw you were taking requests, so i have one (:
maybe like, jack gets down on one knee and asks y/n to be his fake date for a wedding he has to attend?
Cats and Wedding dates - J.Hughes
Thinking about doing a part 2, let me know what u guys think!
Jack was completely freaking out, with all the stress from the season he had forgotten about one of his family friends wedding. He’s known about it for months but it still slipped his mind and with forgetting about it he also forgot about getting a date.
Pacing back and forth in Nico’s living room he’s running his hands through his hair. “Jack calm down its not life or death if you don’t have a date.” The devils captain laughs from his place on the couch. Watching one of his best friends stressing over a wedding is slightly amusing. He knows that Jack could get a date in two seconds if he wanted to so what’s the problem?
“No but yes! I’ve already told everyone I’m taking a date and if I don’t bring one they’ll all know I forgot about it and then mom will lecture me.” Stopping in his tracks Jack let’s out a noise between a whine and a laugh. He doesn’t even have a suit. Or a present. Fuck.
Scrambling to gather all of his belongings Jack rushes out of the apartment. Yelling about how he needs to go as he runs out. Nico blinks in bewilderment at what just occurred in front of him but decides that he doesn’t even want to know.
Walking down the streets of downtown New Jersey Jack has the suit bag thrown over his shoulder, music blasting in his headphones as he’s in his own world.
Suit? Check
Present? Nope
Date? Absolutely not
Stopping outside of some fancy gift store he ponders for a moment before going inside. Surely they must have something for the couple. The strong smell of vanilla and cinnamon hits his nose and Jack pulls the headphones of in case he needs to ask for help. Which he probably will because he has no idea what to buy.
The store is small but cozy and filled with small unique Knick knacks, candles, porcelain and what looks like some type of fancy candies. It feels like a store his mom would love, he takes a mental note to bring her next time they’re in Jersey.
Suddenly Jack feels a presence by his feet grabbing his attention, looking down he’s met with the sight of a cat that resembles a fluff ball. He’s never been much of a cat person but having those blue eyes staring at him Jack can’t resist squatting down and petting the light fur. The cat lets out a small meow, stroking it’s head against the palm of his hand. “What’s your name huh? Cute lil buddy.” Jacks voice is soft as he continues petting the animal, the cat purring in answer.
“I see that Dude has made a new friend.” The unknown female voice makes Jack freeze in place. Hand still in the air he turns his head. A girl dressed in a white long sleeve, black overalls and converse stands above him. A huge smile on her face as she looks down at the boy and cat. “His name is dude?” Jack laughs turning his attention back to the cat. “Hey there Dude. I don’t really like cats but you seem cool.” The girl let’s out a snort at him telling Dude that he doesn’t like cats.
“Is he yours?” Jack stands up from his previous position, he notices that the girl is about a head shorter than him making him tower over her. “Yep, been my partner in crime the last three years.” She bends down picking up Dude in her arms. He seems content with it as he starts rubbing his face against the exposed skin of her neck.
“How did you come up with the name dude?”
“I tried about 100 names and one day I got frustrated and yelled come on dude at him and it was the only thing he reacted too.” The admission earning a loud laugh from the hockey player.
“I’m Jack by the way.” She takes his outstretched hand and he misses the warmth of her skin as soon as she lets go. “I’m Y/N, nice to meet you Jack.”
The two stand there for almost an hour just talking and Y/N helping him find a present for the wedding. It’s easy to talk to the store owner, she’s sarcastic and funny. Like a breath of fresh air after a thunderstorm. Maybe she could be his date? She seems like the type to help a person out and they just met so if she says no he won’t die of embarrassment.
Deciding to take caution to the wind Jack takes a deep breath he goes down on one knee as Y/N has her back to him wrapping the present on the counter. A noise of surprise rises from her throat when she notices this almost stranger down on the floor. “What is going on?” Y/N flicks her gaze between Jack and Dude who is sitting next to the male staring at him with confusion. Or at least as confused as a cat can look.
“This might sound crazy but Y/N will you please be my date to the wedding? I told everyone I would bring a date and I don’t have one, I’ll owe you a favour.” She thinks about it before loudly laughing. Jacks face burns from embarrassment, certain that she’ll reject him. Then a beaming smile spreads across her lips and Jack feels like he can breath again.
“Yeah Jack I’ll gladly be your date to the wedding. Do you have any purple ties?”

Redesigning Cal!!
Variations and explanations under the cut :DD
My brain got fried trying to draw the full body design, so I settled for a headshot for now. No worries I'll post the full one at some point!
Anyways, Cal is tricky to design: he's essentially a past version of Wild. If I take off the uniform he'll be a twin of some sort, and while that makes sense he's very different from Wild and I feel he deserves a design of his own that differentiates him from Wild SOMEHOW. But where else can I get ideas BUT Wild??
To solve this, I figured he'd have some clothes aspects of the chain into his clothing :0 an example being the fluffy fur pelt like scarf, like Twilight's! I have more ideas in things like that being incorporated onto him, but there's only so much space in a headshot. Anyway, it's little things like that that show the chain accepting Cal as their new brother and part of the family! Like little gifts or smth 🥺
When I finished, I couldn't help but think of some headcanons: i imagine perhaps while Cal's insecurities and stuff would mellow down or so with the chain and darling comforting him, he still can't exactly help his stiffness and silence; he can't help it when he got thrown into the royal knights, especially becoming the personal bodyguard of the princess. There's a lot of scrutiny placed on him, and so much pressure. It's no wonder why he shut himself up for a while. So even when the chain and darling would soften and loosen him up, he's as silent or so as a board when around anyone else but his brothers and beloved. He can't really trust, nor feel at much ease. Man's always on guard, and when he found himself a goddess to worship? Especially more so. So it felt fitting to give him some mask that covers half of his face; it shows he isn't exactly open, and is reserved and closed off for most. He does at times puts it down with the chain and Y/N, of course.
The fur pelt thing around his shoulders, I imagine he takes comfort in them; they're like a hug from Twilight or even the chain, and the soft fur helps give him a little happiness and it's soothing. He holds it when he thinks of his brothers, and perhaps tugs it around him, like a blanket around him whenever the chain isn't with him. (He especially does it a lot in TTAU :')) But those are headcanons for another day—)
Also, that rose? It's darling's flower! In Yandy's case, it could be a wildflower, but it can change into any flower or symbol u want! But for my Y/N or OC, they're heavily themed around roses so it's only fitting <33 anyway, it's much like an oath, and a seal to the vow; to accept the chain as family, means accepting and worshipping their goddess. He clutches the flower whenever he thinks of his darling, when he misses her, when he's ridding off a pest that dared to hurt her, so on. (Another habit he does in TTAU—)
Lastly, the hoodie. More so a nod to his role in my head: being a shadow protector of the sorts. Because he's always there in the background, standing there blending into the crowd. No one notices him (except mayhaps his newfound family), and it gives him the upper hand when facing off enemies and the likes. They won't notice they were taken out until they black out suddenly. Tho, this with the mask? Ninja, assassin vibes. And he probably fits the role too. You wouldn't see him coming, and while the telltale signs of his boiling wrath mayhaps be flowing out of his body, you wouldn't stand much of a chance with this guy.
