so leons got a really complicated origin story. hes technically bane but like. not. in our rp one of the BIG FUCKING DEALS was that a lot of timelines and alternate universes were colliding together and it was literally fucking chaos. and one of those timelines happened to be demonstuck! leon originally went by “bane” cause thats technically his legal name but like . yknow when theres two you gotta differentiate

but leon was a hunter, while the rest of his family had already been turned into demons and he hated it. but when the universes merged the big ugly Bad Bitch got his hands on him and turned HIM into a demon and LEON was the main baddie (unwillingly) for a LONG ass time

he actually started out as a girl cause bane was also originally female but we decided that they accidentally transed their genders cause bane was fuckin around with an ecto machine and decided Oh Actually This Is Fucking Great. but before the big gender fuck of 2k16, we called leon “luka” cause banes middle name is LAIKA and thats a parallel. but then he Duded himself so now hes leon

but UHHHHHHHHHHH they ended up defeating the guy puppeting leon around but NOBODY trusted the guy. and that was Horrible for his fuckin self esteem so like that on Top of being turned into the thing he hated most he just. Bad. but JADE !! JADE TOOK A LITTLE PITY she came over at one point and it went smth like this

Evolution of an OC

Here I am to show how one of my favourite OCs has grown and developed over time. Of course, it’s Dijana.

A little background, typically when I play games, I have character archetypes that I recreate until I end up developing a story for them, and then I leave them in that media. So the ‘original’ Dijana, was my character archetype of ‘dark, evil magic user’. The name ‘Dijana’ means heavenly, divine, so it was meant to be ironic. She was never an evil character, just used dark or forbidden types of magic.

So lets begin.

Final Fantasy XI

There wasnt really customisation in this game. You had a few preset faces, each with 2 different haircolours. This was the one I chose. I don’t have a screenshot from that, but lets just say, that specific face looked terrible in game. Hurhur

Dijana was originally a hume. Going with the forbidden magic theme, she was a summoner. I eventually learnt about dat editing, so swapped her out for a shorter, pink haired model.

I had/have a developed storyline for this characer, and she still exists even though I’m not actively playing FFXI anymore. I eventually changed from Summoner main, to Dancer main. Here’s poopy old chibi sketches from 15 years ago.

FINAL FANTASY XIV

FFXIV 1.0 essentially recreated all the races and faces from FFXI...except for that one over the shoulder hairstyle for hume/hyur. So I went with the short haired style. There was no summoner or dancer back then, so I started as marauder in the alpha and beta tests (yes I’ve been playing that long). After the wipe and leading into official launch, I went archer instead.

FINAL FANTASY XIV: A REALM REBORN

Still the same looking hyur that she’s been forever. I was excited for SMN release, but it didn’t match Dijana’s established history going all the way back to XI. I instead leveled as SCH, but went back to BRD.

During this time, Dijana’s story just...didn’t really convert well from XI to XIV. I RP’d a bit with her, she married a miqo’te man (no not G’raha), and eventually decided to finally try some new hairs and looks. She was still always pink haired white girl though.

FINAL FANTASY XIV: HEAVENSWARD

Ahh Heavensward. I wasn’t really into the idea of playing a lizard girl, but I didn’t like midlander’s princess run. I was very interested in Au Ra’s lore though, so as soon as the first expansion launched, I bit the bullet and race changed.

I essentially just tried to duplicate her look as an au ra, but I alternated between raen and xaela a whole lot. I could never decide which I liked more- lore wise it was xaela, but aesthetics (for the more vibrant tones) it was raen.

I started to gradually sort out her story a bit more, and decided IC she was mixed- raen mother and xaela father. I bought so many fantasias back then changing back and forth, and gradually making her skin darker each time. Also decided I didnt like the fish horns.

FINAL FANTASY XIV: STORMBLOOD

This is when I finally decided to sort out her character story and settled on staying as a xaela. Going into SB, I knew we’d be going to the Azim Steppe, so I went through the xaela tribes info to decide which tribe she was initially born to. I decided on Oronir as the most suitable, and so when I finally made it to the Steppe, I wanted to find a xaela man who most resembled Dijana, even if it was an unnamed npc, and make that her long lost father. Who did I find? Freaking Magnai. Obviously he is too young to be her father...and uh...cant seem to find a woman anyway, so he is her half brother.

I stopped doing any RP on Dijana during this time. To cut a long story short, my rp partner and Dijana’s husband decided he was going to rp out an ‘alternate’ timeline with another friend of his, after we agreed no romance RP with others on our mains, and made a far more detailed storyline than we had in years. Lets just say my feelings were pretty hurt, so I decided that Dijana’s storyline would not involve other player characters, only NPCs.

And because I love to torture my own characters, she was pining after G’raha Tia, who had locked himself away in the tower, never to be seen again.

Well, look how that turned out.

FINAL FANTASY XIV: SHADOWBRINGERS

By now, Dijana has a dedicated storyline without me constantly unsure wtf I’m doing. I discovered mods by now, so making Dijana look more how I imagine is much easier. Unfortunately, feels like all the hair mods I like don’t have working highlights :I So Dijana’s blonde/gold tipped hair doesnt really get to be seen much. But the best part? FREAKING FINALLY I GOT DANCER

Crystal Exarch’s presence in this expansion obviously threw a wrench into the plan of ‘lets make my character as miserable as possible’ but what the hell, now I can take sappy screenshots.

I won’t chase you around if you are secretly waiting for me to do everything and read your minds. So if you can’t make the decision to end something, I will be the one to do it. My muse is no one’s “filler” ship or trophy. It is not first come, first serve. However, if you think our muses could mesh or you want a rival, friend, etc. type of relation, hmu! I’m always down for things like this and more than delighted to talk about it with you. It definitely can’t hurt to try. Please keep in mind that your muse doesn’t HAVE to have a The Walking Dead verse for our muses to interact, I have multiple alternate universes and crossovers for different fandoms for a reason and I’d really like to expand on them more!

I AM NO LONGER ACCEPTING ANY VIOLET MUSES FOR SHIPPING WITH CLEMENTINE. I already have three Violet mains ( @victoryvii, @mortuism​, @weprevail ) and thus I won’t ship with any other Violet unless if a ship has been dropped. My Clementine in her default verse is eighteen and over, as it’s set a few months after the events of The Final Season so please don’t be surprised.

    ♥ What's the WORST thing that has happened to you rp wise?

 (Ohhhhhh boy haha I really don’t like to talk about these things but ah. Hm. On tumblr was probably the first time I tried to RP Tali (hence I don’t go on her blog very often even though it’s completely unaffiliated from the original). It wasn’t really any one specific thing on that blog, either, just a very all around horrible experience. There were a lot of people trying to force me to ship with her (to the point that I tell people she’s 100% straight just so they won’t force me or guilt me into shipping her with fem!shep, something I ultimately regret telling people because I don’t MIND shipping her with women I just get sick of being harassed), a lot of overall sexual energy, which... Isn’t inherently bad, except that I personally dislike it.)

This all topped off with The NSFW Drama. There was a pretty popular person in the fandom at the time - an Ashley RPer - who refused to put their NSFW RPs under read mores. Which... Is obnoxious, but you can unfollow them - except that they did nsfw rps with over half of the community, and nobody else would put her content under read mores either, so the people who DIDN’T want to see it either had to sequester themselves into a tiny little corner and let her just completely fuck them out of interacting with the community, or they complained, only to get snapped at and sent loads of anon hate and told that it’s not against tumblr rules not to put NSFW content under read mores - which isn’t inaccurate, but it’s also just common goddamned courtesy. It reached the point of being an all out goddamned war just to convince people that it’s common courtesy to put your smut under a read more, but she couldn’t be arsed because it was too many goddamned steps.

That’s... Pretty mild compared to some other shit I dealt with, though.

BACK BEFORE MY TUMBLR DAYS, the group that inevitably got me into tumblr was... Mmmm... Interesting. It was a transformers forum that did loads of crossovers. I mean, if you could figure out a way to make it work with the multiverse we had, you could make a case to make it an official crossover and claim the characters. Now, here’s the thing I like about tumblr rp though: there’s more than one person playing each character. On this (and most) forums or in closed groups, if you don’t get along with somebody who’s playing a vital character, you’re screwed. Now enter the admins. I was good friends with two of them, but then there was the canon policer (she recently tried to reboot the forum and I lasted all of a week before essentially telling her to shove it and leaving again haha) who didn’t believe in alternate interpretations of characters and events and believed that her interpretation of the story was Infallible, 100% devoid of personal bias or emotion, and therefore 100% correct at all times. Compare that to Tumblr, where everybody has completely different interpretations of how everything in any given fandom has gone down, and I bet you can imagine why she never bridged the gap here.

Well, she was also in charge of organizing the timeline - every single thread on the forum fit into one large constantly evolving timeline, everything contributed to a larger plot, everything had a date and time attached, etc. That said, it infuriated her when threads weren’t done quickly. And I’m not talking “get a post or two out every couple of days” I’m talking “I expect you to be online at least two hours a day doing nothing but pumping out replies and if you aren’t I’m going to move your thread to the ‘inactive’ folder.”

She was chased off of the original site by people who, predictably, got mad about this behavior. Lead to forum iteration number two; most of the adults had left (which, honestly, is a warning sign already imo) leaving a group of teens (mostly high schoolers) cobbling everything back together from the former drama. Now, the main ring leader here used to be a very close friend of mine. We had plots, we had fun, everything was great, but we all had life - we were working on graduating high school, getting into college, etc - so things could be a little slow. This wasn’t really a problem; the plot still moved along well enough.

That said, though, let me say - there are very few people I know who can legitimately say that high school was a good place for them when it came to mental health and stability. All of us were dealing with our own issues - depression, adhd, bipolar disorder, in my case literally six or so funerals in one year, more than one of which were suicide... And I made the mistake of confiding in the new ringleader/admin, who decided it was time to show me some “tough love” and yell at me about how I had to get my life together and it wasn’t HER fault if everything was shitty for me and how she couldn’t sit here and watch me whine all the time and- I blocked her on skype, she blocked my IP from the forum. My other friend invited me to play Carolina (who I picked up in a crossover on that site) here and... I’ve never left since. I never want to do forum RP again, and I HATE the concept of a closed group after that. Here, if somebody’s toxic, I can just... block them.
