I have been thinking about my hc for (reboot) TaleSpin Bagheera so long I decided to do??? digital art?? I don't even have a drawing tablet but somehow, here we are. More info on my hc and this piece under the cut

This all started with this post:

In my hc, Bagheera is introduced in the pilot episode already. After the whole adventure when Baloo and Kit return home, he's already waiting for Kit at the pier. When Rebecca reported an orphan boy who recently escaped from living with pirates (she did it to do the right thing, she did not mean to hurt either Kit or Baloo), he was assigned to pick him up and take him to the orphanage. Of course Baloo and Kit protest and beg and despite his cold appearance he eventually reluctantly agrees, to let Kit stay with Baloo on a trial basis: Bagheera will come by regularly to assess Baloo's parenting and if he's satisfied, Baloo can adopt Kit; but if he's not satisfied, Kit must come to the orphanage. Initially, Baloo and Kit don't like when Bagheera comes by, because he always has something to criticize and they're worried he'll take Kit away. But of course Bagheera gets roped into their adventures and his professional concern for Kit's wellbeing quickly (almost immediately) grows into parental feelings and he grows fond of Baloo, even if they bicker constantly. This eventually grows into a will-they-won't-they relationship with Baloo, the two if them co-parenting Kit and Bagheera becoming more and more relaxed and open until his actual job almost never comes up anymore and he becomes something of a team-member.

And that's just the summary, I have many more thoughts!

...i wrote this series in 2017/2018 as teen wolf was coming to a close, but i didn't post them here since i was a little shy about my rarepair and also they're Extremely Explicit and i had a lot of kids following me for skeleton art. since those kids are all grown up now (?!?!?), here these finally are, on this blog for the first time Ever. the first fic is the best one, obviously - it's almost a ship manifesto, and i am proud to report i have won over skeptics with it <3 derek hale i love you forever

hannibal outside his person-suit is so cute (HEAR ME OUT PLS) chiyoh was right, hes like a cub or a mischievous baby cat, ik they also mentioned that he's no longer a cub now, he's an adult beast. but if u think about it, don't cats (who were orphaned early) still show kitten-like behaviors in their adulthood bc of their fixations that were never met? (like the act of kneading, or developing separation anxiety, or getting excessive zoomies). i just think it's cute to imagine hannibal showing similar behaviors after getting out of his person-suit. like remember when he ate the body part that Jack presented to him as an evidence(?) while he was being incarcerated in the BSHCI ? and him stifling a laugh when Jack asked him about the missing pair of the body part because he ate it. like, idk it's so cute 😭😭😭 (this show is fucking up my moral compass)

i also love imagining post-fall hannibal and will interactions where hannibal is already out of his person suit, so he'd be more unhinged and demanding of physical affection (similar to an act of kneading of cats). he'd also start grinning more than smiling and Will will love it, he would also think hannibal is so cute.

Your stories make me want to play more n more interesting forms of Rimworld. I’m pretty scared to leave peaceful mode most of the time though! I’m a sandboxier, not a ‘risk the lives of these characters I’m attached to’-er. How do you manage the power creep of enemies with so few colonists (for the mechinator story)?

Gotta be honest, I do panic a little bit when I get big raids, or mech raids, or cultist chanters or whatnot. I often just pause the game and make some tea or snuggle my cats for a bit before I come back and try to think of the best ways to deal with the situation without getting my best mechanitor bois killed in the process.

The killbox has definitely helped despite its architect being a bit of an idiot (that's me, by the way), and it's nice to know I can throw the mechs at any baddies as a distraction and resurrect them later if things go sideways.

Also, I'm comforted in the knowledge that I can call XiaoLiang from Arwell if I need a convenient Man-In-Black; he's only, like, a half day's walk away and (so far) doesn't seem to mind being summoned on a whim.

I confess I have reloaded a save now and then, but it's a single-player game, and in the end, it doesn't matter what you do as long as you're enjoying yourself. My favourite difficulty setting is "Adventure Story" because it has enough danger to make for interesting plots and drama, but also plenty of room for character development and silly colonist interactions.

If my outline is accurate (which it may not be - I wouldn't be shocked if I needed to insert some chapters near the end) I have 16 chapters to go. If they average out at 5 pages (pretty standard for a chapter in an early draft for me) that's 80 pages, which would bring the total up to 275 pages when complete. While I'd prefer 300+ pages and 80k+ words, that's totally respectable.

Not sure what the word count would be for that.

Idea: meet-early au, neil is very much stabbed and andrew is very much intrigued

Andrew finds Neil practically bleeding out in the alley behind Eden’s and investigates a little bit more.

All Neil wants is alcohol and sleep but he knows he needs to stay awake and take care of his wound and then keep moving.

So he does.

He gets Andrew(and Nicky) to get him a bottle of vodka and some clean rags and then tells them that they’ll want to leave for this. Andrew doesn’t of course but Nicky says he had to go back to work and told Andrew to look out for this insane kid.

Neil is put off that someone is watching him but he does it anyways.

He cleans his hands and the needle and thread as well as his wound(and takes a few impressive gulps)  and then stitches himself up, not even making a sound.

Andrew is intrigued to say the least.

When the kid starts to pack everything away and get up Andrew looks at him like he’s stupid.

Neil tells him goodbye and that it’s best for everyone if he would forget that ever happened.

Neil can barely walk.

Andrew notices this and asks how Neil expects to get very far looking like that.

Neil doesn’t answer other than a ‘I’m fine’ (lol my poor guy).

Andrew knows that this kid is definitely *not* fine thank you very much and doesn’t appreciate being lied to.

Neil shrugs him off but then stumbles and realizes that he really can’t keep moving like this.

By this point Nicky comes back out with Aaron because their shift is officially over.

Nicky takes one look at Neil and offers for him to stay with them for a few days.

Andrew and Aaron are surprised but only Aaron really objects.

Andrew is weary because he knows this kid is more than he looks but he’s also a mystery and Andrew loves mysteries.

So Neil does.

And he somehow ends up staying.

(Andrew makes a deal with him and even though he knows Andrew won’t be able to really protect him, he decides to take a risk. Besides, it might throw some people off if he’s not constantly running).
