Anniversary - Sunday
fluff ♡. wedding anniversary cuddling w sunday it's actually that simple. gn reader. reader is halovian bc it makes the most sense for sunday (to me) for,,, family reasons. let sunday be happy and in love or motherfucker i will do it myself
cw: none, except love and joy. slightly suggestive at the end ig but it's tame. word count: 780.
(happy boothill day!!!! :D we will pull him in one warp :3♡♡)
Today marks your fourth year as Consort to the Oak family, and it's been a wonderful day. Your doting husband presses a line of kisses up your neck, stopping in the middle to run his fingertips over the soft arch of your wings, before he takes your chin in his gentle grasp and turns your head to him.
"Angel," he mutters. His eyes linger on your lips, then rise to finally meet your own, and he smiles. Aeons, his smile.
You smile back at him reflexively. You feel utterly exposed under his gaze — not because it's scrutinizing, and not because it makes you uncomfortable — it's simply his effect on you (that, and those gorgeous yellow eyes, no doubt). Something in him has always stirred you. Something in you has always stirred him. You wouldn't want it any other way.
"Sunday," you whisper back. Your arms rise to wrap delicately around his neck and rest atop his shoulders.
He pulls you in by your waist and holds you against him. His nose meets yours in the middle and the tips of your noses rub lightly against each other. It's playful. Innocent. It's the gentlest kiss he can give you. He closes his eyes and in his softest voice, the one you've been missing — aching for — for weeks now, he breathes, "I love you..."
He closes the short distance between your lips with a kiss and hums into it, and his hands press against your lower back as he keeps you flush against him.
You had plans for the day. A romantic breakfast, a walk together across the city, a big lunch — a whole day filled to the brim with activities — but you only made it to lunch before losing steam.
It's his one off day. The one day in months that he's been able to promise you, "Yes, my love, the day is yours," and in theory, it sounds wonderful to spend it wandering the town, looking out at the people and breathing the cool air in. In practice, however, you're both exhausted, and you both know it.
When he's not knee-deep in paperwork, he's out on the town anyway, doing one of a million different things. And you, quite frankly, are just sick of his absence. You'll do anything he wants today, as long as it means getting to be with him, and you know that deep down, he just wants to lay in bed all day.
You acquiesce to him. It's only just after noon, but already, you two decide the day is done. You remove your jewelry and outerwear piece by piece, placing it to the side haphazardly, and pull your halo off from where it floats atop your head. You do the same for Sunday, saving him the effort, and lay his things in a pile with yours. Even your items are happy to cuddle up together.
You pull him backwards onto the bed. He catches himself above you, smiling warmly, and buries his face into your neck. His breath tickles the sensitive skin of your wing and it reflexively grazes his face in return.
Your heart swells, knowing you've won; knowing he's happy with this. "Sunday?"
He hums softly against your skin. His wings flutter ever so lightly.
You bring your hand up into his hair and comb through it gently. "I love you more."
You feel his smile against your neck and can't resist smiling back. You could hold onto this moment forever, if it were possible. You could, in fact, live this moment over and over again forever in the dreamscape if you wished, but you don't. The moment is beautiful, not in spite of, but rather because of its fleeting nature. You will cherish it in your loneliest moments, when he spends days in a row working from dawn til dusk.
Loving Sunday means missing him, aching in his absence, and you will do it proudly.
He relaxes fully into you and you immediately sense him falling asleep. Oh, how sweet he is, how intimate an experience to share.
Already half asleep, he mumbles against your neck, "Wake me up soon, darling... I will cherish this day with you. I will– I need to be with you... I love you..." His mumbles become airy whispers at the end, and in moments he's fallen asleep.
You turn your head slightly to rub your cheek into his hair and sigh contentedly, smiling still. This is all you need. You could die happily in this moment — holding him as he sleeps, petting his gorgeous fluffy hair, feeling his gentle breaths on your neck and admiring the blissfully serene expression on his perfect face. You will, however, honor his wish to be woken from his beauty sleep, as you honor his every wish always.
In a couple hours you'll wake him, gently, and he will have a renewed excitement to have you. To be your husband. He will wake up and remember his desire to honor — no, worship — you, as you do him.
It will keep you up, and then it will tire you out.
But you know that. He is your husband, after all, and you know him best.

20 Questions For Fic Writers
I was tagged by both @gretchensinister and @insufferablearchanist and am thus compelled by their charm and glamour to surrender my secrets! [grin]
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
93 at last count. It will probably stay at that number until 31 March 2024, which is when ROTG Hope Week starts. [I get a lot of mileage out of fandom events that are prompt-based.] My goal between now and the month of March is to complete or add to the chapter count of at least three of the multiple-chapter longfics I've got in various states of progress.
2. What’s your total word count?
AO3 says it's 220,945. I don't know if that counts chapters saved in draft on several of my works, which act as notes files for me. So I'm going to underestimate by a lot and say my word count is more than 200K and will leave it at that.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
I'm most well-known for fics in the RISE OF THE GUARDIANS/GUARDIANS OF CHILDHOOD fandom and its subfandom Nightmare Dork University. in the last two years I've ventured into writing fics set in the milieu of DELTARUNE [the videogame by Toby Fox], but those fics are so far into the realm of AU country that I can't claim to "write for the DELTARUNE fandom".
4. Top 5 fics by kudos?
A CITIZEN OF THE UNIVERSE AND A GENTLEMAN TO BOOT, which is the first fanfic I posted on AO3 and is still in progress. It's set after the ROTG movie and involves plot threads from the GOC books, as well as featuring several characters from the Rankin/Bass holiday specials.
"Fleecy Shining Streaming Gleaming/Gimme A Mare With Hair", a giftfic based on a prompt from the ROTG Kinkmeme on Dreamwidth from years agone. Still in progress; my giftee is ***extremely*** patient. [sob]
[[ATTIC]] [[NEST]] [[HOME]], my first DELTARUNE fanfic, set in an AU created by @penbwl and featuring the Swatchton pairing.
"A Temptation Averted", set in my Six Guardians AU series, and apparently everybody's favourite of my ROTG Blackice stories, probably because it's so schmoopy.
CALL SIGNS. Ah, CALL SIGNS. The mammoth fic that has eaten most of my current brain capacity, to the point where I have dreams about it. [and plans for sequels] It was supposed to be so simple. A "what if" story where two DELTARUNE characters met in a human!AU and at a different point in their timelines than they did in-game. Then it suddenly roared to life as a whole sequence of events lifted from my own experiences, spread out over an ever-increasing number of protagonists, not to mention featuring cameos from NDU characters. I wrote it to be accessible to people who haven't played the game and had no familiarity with the characters, and I've been told I've succeeded. I expect it will move up in the kudos count the longer it runs... so far it's the highest word-count work I have ever written. EVER.
5. Do you respond to comments?
99.9999% of the time, yes. [see the answer to questions 8 and 11]. I love comments... short comments, long comments, comments that are nothing but emojis and keysmashes, comments that are well-thought-out analyses. As long as the comment is offered in good faith, I'll answer it.
6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
If we're being strictly literal with the use of the word "ending", then it's a toss-up between "His Days Like Crazy Paving", "Exit", and "Making Fire".
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
So many of my stories are windows into my characters' "middles", rather than having narrative endings, and I tend to the fluph side of the writing scale. So here's a sampling of one-shots that conclude on a happy note... "Caterpillar", "Starmeadow", "Your First Memory Of All", "Bedtime Story", and "Centres Small And Still".
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I've never gotten out-and-out hate on fics. I *have* had someone react negatively when they wanted to use my comment space to plug fics they had written in fandoms I wasn't interested in and I said as much in reply.
9. Do you write smut?
On occasion. I *enjoy* smut... a lot... but I read more smut than I write. "The Joy Of First Flight" is probably my most explicit work to date, and even that is not terribly steamy.
10. Do you write crossovers?
Again, on occasion. CITIZEN ended up being a crossover about halfway in, surprising me rather completely. CALL SIGNS features cameos from other fanon characters, but isn't technically a crossover. AND FEAR AS MY COMPANION is the only work I've written with the initial intent of being a crossover between RISE OF THE GUARDIANS and DOCTOR WHO.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I'm aware of. I **have**, however, fallen victim to being fooled by AI bots writing what I thought were truly sincere and sweet comments, which I foolishly answered before realizing the truth. Still kicking myself for how gullible I was, but it was at a low point in my confidence as a writer and I was starved for reassurance.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Into a language other than English? Not that I've been informed about. However, someone did make a podfic of my drabble "Hope In A Storm", if that counts as "translation" rather than "transformation".
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I've collaboratively tossed ideas around with @ksclaw and @piratekingpitchblack that have made their way into character development and plotlines for more than a few Nightmare Dork University stories.
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
HOW CAN I CHOOOOOOOOOOOOSE?
Tumblr media
The one that started it all, that punched me in the gut not even twenty minutes after I saw RISE OF THE GUARDIANS for the first time, was Blackice. I devoured then and continue to devour now every Blackice shipfic I can get my little paws on. From there, once I found the NDU subfandom, it was NDU StageFright all the way, although it's now running neck-and-neck with NDU Nightmare Galleon as far as fics I've written. And currently, I have a very active Tumblr tag labelled "i have fallen down the swatchton sinkhole don't even try to rescue me", if that gives any hints.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will?
I am realllllllllllllllllllly hoping that I can get inspiration for "Sweater Weather" going again.
16. What are your writing strengths?
RESEARCH.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Falling into the timesink that research leads to. [sob]
Tumblr media
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language?
That hasn't come up in any of my fics so far, other than throwing gratuitous Italian into dialogue for my OC Mama Michelina.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
If you don't count the self-insert novelization of YELLOW SUBMARINE that I wrote when I was fourteen, then ROTG would be the first fandom I've written for.
20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written?
That's a toughie. The most ***personally satisfying*** fics I've written have been "Deal The Cards", which is a love letter to one of my favourite relatives, now deceased, and "Which Witch", one of the few times a story came pouring out of me without needing to be edited to shreds.
I am hesitant to tag people because when I've done so in other ask games, it has often backfired on me. I love all my mutuals and don't want anyone to feel left out. Therefore.....
WHOEVER READS THIS AND WANTS TO PLAY, CONSIDER YOURSELF TAGGED.

Fionna and Cake thoughts so far
I like what they're doing, but there's a nagging part of me that's really of two minds about the whole thing. It's hard to explain.
There's something I don't like about the constant callback cameos by the original AT characters. Don't get me wrong, I understand why they're doing it - mechanically, thematically, nostalgically - but it is bothering me a bit. I don't think it's even a fault of the show itself, so much as it is a fault of The Current State of Media In General.
Listen, I have quite literally been watching Adventure Time religiously since the very first episode aired. I LOVE noticing all the subtle and not-so-subtle cameos in the Fionna and Cake series as they pass by, because I recognize them all from all this time I've spent immersed in this little universe. But there are times when it starts to feel like Fionna and Cake is a series of nothing BUT cameos and callbacks, and that kinda sours things for me.
I know, I know. Mechanically, that's how it's SUPPOSED to be, since Fionna and Cake is - by definition - a fanfic of Adventure Time. It's an AU. It's a crossover. It's a spin-off. It's SUPPOSED to be that. But just like with all the other big name reboot and remakes and re-imaginings we've gotten in the past 5-10 years, it's all just a big game of who's-who and tugging on nostalgia's heartstrings to make this IP emotionally impactful (i.e. Sad, because sadness is the only emotion people ever seem to give a shit about - but that's another opinion for another time).
The Current State of Media In General is that very few new original shows are being made. Studios aren't taking any risks. A significant percentage of shows in the past decade are all just carefully constructed, reimagined, retooled, re-tellings of every possible IP you ever felt attached to as a child. DuckTales, TMNT, Castlevania, Animaniacs, Trigun, He-Man, Super Mario Bros, even fucking FLCL has multiple new spin-offs. It's all about spotting the obscure references and fawning over the little ways they changed things into something meant to tickle the emotion centers in your brain (oh look, Della is singing the Moon Theme from the NES game but now it has lyrics and is sad!). After a while it starts to feel very...formulaic? Manipulative? Corporate?
Idk man, sometimes I just want something to be completely New and original, and not feel like a cut-and-paste heartstrings-playing nostalgia-fest. Sometimes I don't want my childhood to eat well. I want my adult self to have its own new things to enjoy, that mean something to me NOW. I want something that feels Fresh, like, oh I don't know, Adventure Time when Adventure Time first came out?
Again, I get why Fionna & Cake is all cameos. I get it. I understand it. And there's a big part of me that still even loves to see it. But I also sometimes feel kinda cheated by it at the same time. Like there's a glimpse of a show in there that could have been its own cool thing if it weren't so laser-focused on Expanding The Lore. I wish I could describe this feeling better. It's complicated. I'm complicated.
But hey, if you're out there and feeling the same way, congrats on finding this post. I'm right there with ya, buddy.
Now, let's get back to enjoying Fionna and Cake for what it is.

8 months
Nearly 8 months have passed since I blogged. Damn.
I apologize profusely if anyone was interested in my ramblings. I have zero excuses other than life got hard. Full time job. Which I hated profusely - not that I'm not going to be working full time again soon - tends to bring on crushing depression when I feel stuck in it. Which I did, and I was. When you are paid bi-weekly and you see that entire paycheck go to your cost of living.. well. It doesn't do good things to your psyche. Energy levels get low and all that extra you had energy for before gets used up with day to day survival. Getting out of bed. Getting to work. Feeding yourself. Cleaning your house. Squeezing in workout (a thing I do now).
It's not all bad I suppose. I've finally been able to interview for and obtain a position that will not only net me a raise but be closer to home. Hopefully, that should get me more free time to pursue the things I actually enjoy.
I'd like to say that in this time I've been able to tackle my backlog of Steam games. But. Well. BG3 happened. And I spent even more time in the game than I had in early access. It's maddening how much time I've sunk into Faerun. I have no regrets though.
Tumblr media
The only thing really that's kept me from finishing my campaign - as I am in Act 3 - is my computer. I haven't upgraded the beast since 2020 or 2021-ish. And it's starting to show. My mobo is acting extraordinarily peculiar. Sometimes I'll walk away from my computer to come back a couple hours later and find it stuck in bios. Super fun. The connection to the mobo gets wiggled a little and everything pops back on. Super. However, anything heavy to run - like BG3 - tends to get very crash-y.
Again. Super.
T.T
AND. Due to my financial constraints because of the job I recently left, I was completely unable to fix this. I'm hoping with the advent of the new job, getting a few paychecks in to stabilize, I can rectify the problems. Hopefully.
I started a couple of fanfics for the first time ever. I am ridiculously shy about them. My writing skills have become so sodding rusty. The stories came to me while I was playing BG3 and I was compelled to write them down. Note now, that the frequency of updates directly reflects the time I have to invest in them. So keep that in mind.
Be gentle on me here lol!
I have been able to get some gaming done. I have ceased playing Back 4 Blood, as it became no longer supported by its dev team. A sad move really. The gaming industry as a whole has become this parasitic beast. Devs work on a game for an extremely limited amount of time and abandon it the moment it becomes less lucrative than their board of directors care for.
There is a trend towards monetization of minutiae and online play in inappropriate genres, that has become an insidious infection in the game industry. It robs us of good game development. There's this mentality of more, more, now that's just slow poison to the whole beast. It makes everything very same-y and boring.
Which is why I strive at this point in my life, to not give money to the companies which I feel are most guilty of this. The only way to make these corporations listen is to hit them in the $. As such I will probably be carefully curating any games I discuss or mention on this blog from here on. My next post will likely be discussing a visual novel I've spent some time in that I equal parts enjoyed and became frustrated with. So that's in the pipeline. Until then keep to the lights lovies. <3

YALL READY FOR MY END OF THE YEAR TIER LIST FOR THE TOP 5 HYPERFIXATIONS I HAD THIS YEAR??? LETS GOOOOOO
Honorary Mentions
Taylor Swift
Jujutsu Kaisen
Frieren
Demon Slayer
5: FNaF
We got a lot of fnaf content this year and I was obsessed with it. So obsessed, that I was to invested in consuming this content that I hardly ever posted about it.
I love this franchise so much. I've been invested in the lore, games, books, and YouTube videos since it came out. I love everything about this franchise.
4: One Piece
As a long time One Piece fan, I gotta say my burn out for this anime was coming. Then I heard about the Netflix adaptation and that they were crunching the entire East Blue Arcs into 8 episodes... I was scared.
Then I watched it and it reignited my fire for this. I even started rewatching the anime so I knew what was next to come. Not only that, but my sister got into the show cause of the live action and we're watching it together.
Not only that, but we also got to the end of the Wano Arc! One Piece's longest arc yet and I loved every second of it. They really turned up everything for this arc and I am here for it.
WE ALSO GOT THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE REMAKE ANIME BY WIT STUDIOS!! I am so hyped for this. To see the story be told with better pacing, less filler, and maybe they can make Skypia bearable to watch /j.
3: Fionna and Cake
I was so ready for this show. When I learned about it I was so confused. Like, yall are making a spin off about filler episodes??
I always loved Fionna and Cake so I wasn't upset but confused. Then I watched it and fell in love. Seeing all the characters and where they are now after the almost end of the world and then falling in love with the new characters.
Everything about this show was amazing to me and i cannot wait for season 2.
2: Heartstopper
Those who know me know that I am obsessed with Heartstopper and the Osemanverse as a whole. These characters are so amazing to me and I love all of them so much.
We got season 2 of Heartstopper out on Netflix and we also got the release of volume 5! Season 3 completed its filming and we got to see the actor playing Michael Holden! Heartstopper fans have been feasting this year.
Nick and Charlie are some of my favorite characters of all time and I cannot wait to see where this goes in the future.
1: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Let's be honest, if you didn't expect this to be number one then you don't know me lol. Tmnt is the whole reason I started this blog so I could freely blab about my hyperfixations without fear.
And the tmnt community has been fed this year with content. Not only did we get the new tmnt movie (WHICH WAS INCREDIBLE AND AMAZING AND I LOVED IT SM) but we also have some of the best aus and fanfictions out there in my opinion. Tmnt has taken over tumblr for the past couple years and it's been crazy. So, I would like to share my favorite aus and fanfictions of tmnt from the past year
Cass Apocalyptic Series by @somerandomdudelmao
Celestial AU by @ashwii
Like Father Like Son by @eternalglitch
EW AU and Feral!Leo AU by @cupcakeslushie
These are a very limited few of the tmnt fanfics and aus out there. I gave myself a cut off of five and these were the first ones that came to mind otherwise I would sit here all day listing off aus and fanfics.

(4/4) and yet you get all these young, new writers writing as if instead of using our language the way it should be used, create things that read as if they’re literally translating English syntax to the letter, with results that, more often than not, are unreadable and pretty cringe-inducing. Sorry, this is all very rambly, but it is to say: what are your personal thoughts on that? Do you write differently when writing fanfic vs original fiction, and if so, what are some of the key differences you can think of? (Besides the obvious) Is there even such a thing as a “fanfic writing style”? And would you say it’s fair to say some fanfic is actively on par with published literature? Because to me it seemed obvious until I started seeing all the online discourse around that, on both extremes. I’m very curious to get your in-depth thoughts on that, besides just reflagging a post and agreeing with its contents.
Sorry I couldn't include your whole 4-part ask, Anon friend! I didn't want to make this too long. Speaking of which, here's a readmore.
Okay. First: there's discourse about fanfic vs original fic? Again? Yaaaaawn. And to answer: I do alter my style for fanfic, mostly to match canon better. Like, in my Dragon Age fics, I try to use the same dialogue style that the games use. Cullen sounds posh, for example, and overly formal even when he's trying to be casual; Carver sounds more casual and uses more rough slang. In Mass Effect I mostly do the same, plus I sometimes use choppier narration for a militaristic, "macho" feel, again emulating the games' style of making everybody sound Extremely American and badass. Devil May Cry was more of a challenge because those games don't have a consistent dialogue/narration style to emulate, just "who translated this and were they drunk?" Instead I had to focus on character and motivations -- i.e. "Dante is always hilariously nihilistic but he really just wants a family and some peace & quiet." With Trigun I've been struggling a lot because there are three completely different canons with three completely different characterizations and narrative styles -- two of which directly contradict each other -- and then there are the six or seven different translations! I haven't really settled on a style for that fandom, but trying to blend everything is part of the fun, for me. I like a challenge.
I'm not "dumbing down" or negatively affecting my own style by doing this, I don't think. Playing with other voices, by other rules, helps me refine my own authentic voice in much the same way that improv helps actors and comedians. I think that's the case for anyone who writes fanfic, but it's probably easiest to see with the pros. Take astolat, for example. Some of her Aubrey-Maturin fanfics are more restrained than her Temeraire novels, even though the latter were inspired by the former. The restraint is because there probably weren't many dragons running around during the Napoleonic wars, and because she's sticking close to Patrick O'Brien's style on purpose. But then, in the Temeraire books, she discards these constraints, which to me is her doing the writing equivalent of this:
Tumblr media
Then she just fucking goes ham on her readers. Kicks them in the head with one of the best alternate histories I've ever seen, rewriting colonialism from scratch and giving it a better ending. She replaces a deep human friendship with the closeness between a man and his bus-sized Chinese dragon, and it works. These are feats of literary derring-do that a lot of writers cannot emulate, and wouldn't dare try. And yet I've heard more than one reader complain that she "wastes time" on fanfic. Which to me is like complaining that Rock Lee "wastes time" wearing weights.
tl,dr; Most people who insist that fanfic is inferior lack the expertise to judge the real skill involved in making it. Doesn't stop them from opening their stupid Dunning-Kruger mouths, tho, does it.

Writing Questions Tag Game!
Belated, but tagged by @darsynia, thanks, hon!!
What is your absolute all-time favourite idea you’ve ever had?
As cheesy as it sounds, I will have to say Blinded by the Fog is my all time favorite idea to date. Its a perfect combination of my two current fandoms and where I am in life and in my mental health journey. i was kind of wandering through fanfic until i got the prompt that inspired it - "You are the wife of a soldier who is missing in action and presumed dead. His best friend, who survived the war, offered you comfort and companionship, and over time love blossomed. A year later, you learn that your husband is alive and is coming home. Now you must confess to him that you have moved on—or have you?"- and its all my brain wants to focus on right now. its almost taking over my life, and I'm kind of okay with that. I'm trying to stay away from tropes but at the same time embracing the ones that are part of this story organically. The three main characters really keep surprising me with what happens, and I'm not sure how its going to end to be completely honest even though I have started the Epilogue.
Is there a question you’ve been asked in the past that really stands out to you and you still think about sometimes?
"Why are you cockblocking your own characters?" was a question I got from a fellow writer years ago when she read a draft I wrote and was struggling with the smut portion of it. And because of her pushing me, the completed chapter was some of the hottest stuff I've ever written. I still think of that phrase when I'm struggling with my own brain while writing fic, especially sexy times. I have minimal self-assurance that my writing is any good and often need someone else to validate it before I post or even write an idea I have.
What is your favourite part of being a writer? What parts could you take or leave?
I love putting what I see in my brain down on paper, to see the story and the dialog play out on paper.
The parts I can take or leave is the self worth i struggle with in regards to my writing (it stems beyond that but the question is about writing). I always need validation from someone else its good, worth posting etc, even though I'm the first person to tell someone else to post their writing. Brains are hard and weird.
Another part I'd like to leave is taht the number of reblogs, comments, kudos, recognition of any kind = my writing's worth. Ugh I hate that feeling.
What is your greatest motivation to write/create?
I love writing, i love creating, i love bringing to life the lives of these characters outside the stories we already know about them.
What do you wish you knew when you were first starting out writing?
That writing anything and everything will make me a better writer. That everyone sucks when they start anything. That I dont have to be stellar to have people want to read what I'm writing. And that pushing my characters to fit into an outline I wanted them to follow would result in stalled stories, that wouldn't go anywhere. Its how Two Brothers Walk Into A Bar petered out. I tried to force a relationship that neither character wanted and as much as I loved that story it didn't move forward from that point.
What is your favourite story you’ve written TO COMPLETION? Link it if you’d like and can!
Days of Our Freakin' Camp is my favorite story that I've written to completion. What started out as a drabble grew grew and grew into this 20 chapter story that took me and the readers for a ride along the way. I didn't plan out how it was going to go, it just happened. and I'm so proud of how it turned out.
What is your favourite out-of-the-box quote?
The drugs he had picked up on Whitefall. The ones he was careful to take for fear the others would notice a change in him. Jayne had no choice. He wanted to maintain that he was indeed human and not the monster he had become long before he came to Serenity. The bear reminded him of the human he used to be. Someone with a beating heart who actually felt emotion. Not this cold hearted creature that sat in his bunk, wishing it would all go away.
Which of your characters would you say has the most controversial mindset? Why do you say so and how do you personally feel about their ideals?
Merle Dixon was the hardest for me to write, even though I grew up around people like him and have been around folks of the same small minded mind set most of my life. The more i struggle with my own demons to not be a pushover and just let people have their opinions of the world around us, the more difficult it is to write people like Merle.
If you, when you first started writing, met you now, what would younger you think?
that I am an amazing writer who needs to have more confidence in myself and my writing.
Tumblr media
No pressure tags (but I'd love to see your thoughts)- @adulting-sucks, @ronearoundblindly, @joannaliceevans-fanficblog, @geralts-yenn, @raccoon-eyed-rebel, and @jvanilly and @sarahdonald87 - even though I know you two haven't published anything yet.

Fanfiction Review
I can already tell this is gonna be super confusing bc I've been writing fic since I was 12 but have since gone through so many identity changes. But let's play anyway!
Thanks for the tag @redead-red
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
My current library is 8. I don't actually write fanfic too often unless a specific idea intrigues me-- or something in the fanon just doesn't line up with me. I do have at least 4ish more stories planned and maybe a revised version of an ancient story from when I was young. 2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
166,451! Pretty neato!
3. How many fandoms have you written for, and what are they?
Uh, in no specific order,
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (lost to purging)
Doctor Who (you ain't gonna find these)
Sonic
NiGHTs into Dreams
Dead by Daylight (<3)
Danny Phantom (my beloathed) Supernatural (my other beloathed)
and uhhhh, I think a bunch of various other video games I can't remember. For the sake of brevity I'm gonna put the rest under the cut.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
This is actually pretty funny bc I have so few fics released. I only get emails for certain ones all the time, so I wrote this part out by guessing, but I ended up not needing to change it. (also, don't read most of these; they're old and bad)
1. Schrodinger's Adolescent, 337 Kudos (Danny Phantom)
2. Teen Years and How to Survive Them, 97 Kudos (Secret Trio)
3. Two Fake Feds Come up the Laneway the other dayyyyyy, 56 Kudos (Letterkenny/Supernatural)
4. Brother's Keeper, 40 Kudos (Halloween, DBD)
5. Beginner's Guide to Destroying the Moon, 37 Kudos (Sonic)
5. Which of your fic do you want more attention for?
I'll be real here, I still enjoy most of the work I did for both Beach House Bummer, and Beginner's Guide to Destroying the Moon. I just wish I got more love for the latter bc I might be inspired to finish it lmao.
6. Do you respond to comments, why or why not?
I really try to! I love the long rambly comments I get on Schrodinger's because I can feel those people are giving me the same passion I put into my work-- Though most of the time I get the generic "post more" or "update plz" which I dunno I'm grateful for the interaction. Still, I don't really want to repeat like "I'm trying my best, dude." about 12 times a day.
7. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
I'll be real I only have two completed fics rn-- but I can tell you I had this one fic that I wrote when I was fourteen where the ninja turtles had to burn down a lab full of half-born mutant embryos, and like I remember writing that and then going to middle school the next day like "They don't know I'm a literary genius."
8. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
Probably the Letterkenny/Supernatural crossover-- I feel very strongly about SPN and how people take it way too seriously, so when I found out it was filmed in Canada. It used famous Canadian actors from the show Letterkenny, it felt way too good to pass up. I do hope to write in that space again when I'm feeling less depresso-espresso.
9. Have you ever received hate on a fic?
Yeah. It's probably a big reason why you'll never see the tmnt fics for a while. I also used to write a lot of OC stories, and this was back in 2014 so like those were def hit the hardest. I'm glad to say it's like... subsided for the most part. I don't get hate as much as I just get really confusing and creepy comments, which don't hurt my rejection-sensitive-ass as much.
10. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Hahahaha, no.
I am kind of bad at writing it, and I don't really like writing it. Which yeah that makes sense. My friends sometimes when they find out I write fanfic as a joke they'll send me some of the worst examples smut they can find and to test my talent I'll try to rewrite it to make it some kind of titillating-- but alas it just isn't my forte. The cons of being an asexual I guess.
Tumblr media
11. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Uh, yes and no? I think I had one of my older fics stolen, retranslated, and then retranslated again to English? That was so long ago tho.
12. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
No, but I'd love to give it a shot sometime.
13. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
Honestly, it's sonadow. I know it's cringe but I'm free, dammit. Outside of that I guess my favorite dynamic is jock/nerd, which you've probably gleaned from my resume here fhsdkjf.
14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
I've been working on Teen Years and How to Survive them since I was 16, I only started making headway on it when I was 19-- so I feel like that speaks for itself hskjhg.
15. What are your writing strengths?
It's been told to me that I'm very funny and I write convincing dialog that captures a character's voice. Which is extremely flattering despite the fact that I feel like I'm tricking you all.
16. What are your writing weaknesses?
probably scenery and landscape, if I'm honest. I also accidentally keep creating scenes just for the dialog instead of action or environment.
17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
I think as long as I can guess what they're saying from context clues, and the writer is courteous enough to include body language and the like, then it's mostly harmless. I love including a bunch of references in fic whether it's cultural, historical, or just like a quote from a movie or something so I have a bunch of tabs open regardless it wouldn't be too inconvenient for me to fire up google translate or something.
18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
19. What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?
Probably Schrodinger's Adolescent, it really opened up a lot of doors for me in the DP fandom and I got to meet a lot of cool people because of it. It really cheered me up from a dark place. And despite me writing it initially out of anger and spite its grown into this soft thing that really means a lot to me.
20. What fic are you most proud of?
Honestly, I can't pick. I'm both embarrassed by them all and yet glad they bring people some form of comfort.
Uhhhh who to tag-- I don't really know
@ten0rreaper is the only one I can think of-- whoever else I guess can have at it. I'm not very good at these things lmao.

Title: A Smutty Fanfic
Pairing: Levi x Reader
Fandom: Obey Me!
Genre: Smut
Written by @rikumorimachisgirl
Word count: 1,500
Disclaimer: I do not own Obey Me or its characters, but this story was wholly my idea.
A/N: This is my very first Obey Me fic. I hope you like it.
Tumblr media
This was the worst!
You skimmed through the half-filled Doodle Note on your DDD and sighed. The fic you were writing was due in two days, and you were nowhere near completing it.
Maybe I should just quit, you thought to yourself with another long sigh. After all, I've never written something like this before.
"Oi! I can't focus on my game with all that sighing in the background!"
You tore your gaze away from your phone and looked at the purple-haired demon, who was glaring at you from where he was seated at the bottom of his bed. In the past three months that you've been living as an exchange student in Devildom, you've grown fond of all your housemates at the House of Lamentation - especially Levi.
Tonight, you hung out in his room like always, tinkering with your DDD while watching him play. Only, your mind was elsewhere and he didn't seem to like it.
"Oops! Sorry, " you said, flustered. "I can leave the room -"
"That's not what I meant." With the game controller still in his hand, he plopped onto his bed just a bit short of where you were seated and looked at you curiously. "Are you bored? I asked you earlier if you wanted to play 'Tour of Duty', but you didn't want to."
"It's not that."
"Then what's the problem?"
"It's nothing, " you dismissed, hiding your DDD away. "Anyway, shouldn't you be playing?"
"Hmm, I don't know. I think I'm more interested to find out what's gotten you in a bind, " he said before tossing the controller to one side. "So what's up?"
"I told you, it's no biggie, " you insisted. As you struggled to come up with an excuse, he caught your wrist and pried the DDD from your hand. "Hey!"
"Oho! You're keeping secrets from me now? You don't get to do that, normie. After all, I am your senpai, " he said with a suppressed laugh as he scanned through your notes with one hand while keeping you at bay with the other.
"Give that back, Levi!"
"Let's see… 'Go on, Davin. I won't stop you.', " he started reading out loud, much to your horror.
He was reading it - your sorry attempt at writing a fanfic! "Stop it, " you cried out, as you dove to retrieve your DDD and what little dignity you had left.
"You're writing a fic about your Doctor Love bias! I'll read some more. He kissed her non-stop as he laid her on the bed. After what seemed like forever, he stripped her off her clothes and climbed on top of her…"
You shut your eyes as he continued to read what you'd written, silently wishing that Diavolo would magically appear and zap you back to the human world. You were so wrapped up in your wishes, you failed to notice that the room had become dead silent and that Levi was handing you back your phone.
"Don't laugh, " you nearly growled at him as you snatched your DDD back.
"I couldn't if I wanted, " he replied. "That… that's a smutty fanfic you're writing. I didn't know you were into those…"
"Asmo made me do it! He made me join his Post-Valentine's Day event -"
"Lust Fest?" The dashing Otaku exclaimed as he looked at you wide-eyed. "Why the heck did you sign up… and more importantly, this type of writing is even worse than a noob's. I mean, you could do a better job of describing what's happening or how the characters are feeling. That right there looks like it'd been written by a virgin."
His snide comment made you wince. Taking a deep breath, you square your shoulders and glanced at him. "I can't help that, " you said, trying your best not to blush. "I am a virgin."
"Oh, " he said quietly as he stared at his feet to hide his embarrassment. "I didn't know. Sorry."
"That's fine. Maybe I can head over to Lucifer and ask him to help me with this."
He gripped your wrist once more, just as you were getting out of bed. "Why Lucifer?"
You looked at him quizzically and tilted your head to one side. "Uh… because he looks like he's got a ton of experience -"
He yanked on your wrist so you'd fallen on his lap. Before you finished your sentence, his mouth had claimed yours, moving hungrily, claiming every inch of your being. Holding you close, he swallowed your gasp and thrust his tongue into your mouth to seek yours.
"Don't go to Lucifer, " he said in between kisses. "Stay with me. I'll help you out. Is that okay?"
You managed a small nod before he moved his attention from your lips to your neck. As he sucked on a sensitive spot, you let out a moan and immediately clamped your hand over your mouth.
"Don't cover your mouth. I want to hear you moan for me, " he whispered, before lapping at your neck while slowly unbuttoning your pajama top. "Tell me what I just did."
"You… you… marked me. I-It felt good…"
"Really? What about now?" He made short work of opening your top, and his hands were soon on your breasts, kneading and rolling your nipples between his fingers. "I wonder if your nipples taste as sweet as your mouth is." He blew on one of your pebbled nipples before taking one of them into his mouth, and you felt your panties get soaked. He sucked and laved his warm tongue over your pink nipples one at a time, while you buck against him wildly. "Does this feel good? Tell me!" His voice was raw with lust as he tore your top away and moved you so he had a full view of your naked top.
You wanted to tell him how wonderful it felt, how your toes curled as he sucked on your breasts, and how you've discovered an invisible connection between your breasts and your pussy… but all you could utter was a moan.
"You're beautiful, " he said, smiling before you tangled your fingers on his hair and pulled him back so he could lavish your breasts once more. As he flicked his tongue against your hard nipples, you bucked your hips against his hardened cock. The sensation made him groan and he bit your nipple and sucked on it hard.
Slowly, he laid you on his bed and ran his hand down your body, over your soft plains and curves, and palmed your soaking pussy over your damp pajamas. You arched against his touch and sought more.
"You're okay with this," he asked.
"You're asking that now," you quipped. "Teach me, Senpai. I'm all yours."
Those three words were all it took to break his last barrier of restraint. "I want you. I've wanted you for so long, " he said roughly as he removed your bottoms and his clothes and tossed them on the floor. He planted kisses on your lips, your neck, the valley between your breasts, down your belly, before he stopped to look up at her. With a sly smile on his lips, he slowly turned his attention back to your pussy and removed your soaking panties with his teeth.
It was slow torture, he was aware. As he caught a whiff of your arousal, he cursed himself for not being a total noob at these things. Sighing, he tore the offending garment off.
You watched as he licked his lips and you tangled your fingers on the pillow, holding your breath,  waiting for his next move.
"Relax, normie. Trust me, you'll like it, " he said before he dipped his head between your legs and nuzzled his nose against your clit, taking in as much of your scent as he can before you felt warm wet tongue part your folds and  lick your essence.
"Don't stop… don't stop…"
He sucked and slurped every drop of your essence. "Levi, please… I want more!"
"Just a little while longer, " he said, sliding a finger inside you. You gasped and arched your back as he pumped in and out your pussy. "Does this feel good? I'll make you feel even better." He sealed his promise by sucking on your clit as his fingers thrust in and out of you faster. He knew you were close, he could feel your muscles start to contract, he curled his finger inside you and felt you shatter around him. You cried out his name and bucked thrashed beneath him, riding out your orgasm.
A few minutes later, you laid side by side, breathing heavily as your bodies covered in a thin sheen of sweat.
"That… That was amazing, Levi."
"See? You really didn't need Lucifer for that right, " he said cockily, as he rested his head on your arm. "I can give you all the orgasm you'll ever need."
"But I didn't need Lucifer for this, " you pointed out, much to his surprise. "I was gonna ask him to proofread my work. You're the only one I want."
"Proofread?"
You nodded, and swept his bangs to one side. "Absolutely. You're the only one I want." You smiled at your boyfriend, who was now blushing furiously. "But now I think I can do even better. I think I can write a smutty fanfic… All thanks to you."
The end.

Rian Johnson did NOT plagiarize TLJ from a fanfic
1) TLJ began shooting in September 2015. TFA was released in December 2015. Which means Rian had to have his story, script, and screenplay completed MONTHS before TFA's release. The author's fanfic series began on 1/25/16.
2) With a huge project like Star Wars to work on, and deadlines to meet, I doubt Rian could afford the time to read a fanfic with over 1 million words, and wait for its updates. You really think he checks AO3 everyday for a new chapter and as soon as one is up he calls the department heads asap to tell them hes revising the script for the 100th time? Look up what script changes he did make. Nothing to do with the fanfic.
3) Many of the ideas the author claimed Rian stole from are ideas COUNTLESS other Star Wars theorists have come up with as well. Especially the Reylos. That's why the Reylo community is celebrating because so many of their theories came true, such as the Force Bond and the use of it, etc. Many fanfics are based on these theories. That's why many of them share the same elements or plot devices. I have read over a dozen fanfics involving Rey and Kylo having a Force bond (I mean it was obvious anyways) and Rey using that bond to go to Kylo to try and save him. You're telling me the authors of those fanfics also copied each other's works?
4) TLJ BEGAN SHOOTING IN SEPTEMBER 2015 AND TFA WAS RELEASED IN DECEMBER 2015. DO PEOPLE NO LONGER USE THEIR BRAINS?
5) Bastila and Revan had a Force bond, developed feelings for each other through it, and one was a Sith Lord while the other was a Jedi. Are people going to accuse Rian of plagiarizing KOTOR too? Even though he's just using what was established back in TFA because YES we Reylos already knew Rey and Kylo formed their Force Bond in the Interrogation Scene in TFA. Snoke did NOT form it.
EDIT: 6) I said the script must be "completed" but I didn't say "finalized" there's a difference you know. Once the script is locked in, it is still open to revisions of course. Each time a revision is made, Rian must contact the department heads & talent and the revised scripts are printed and redistributed. If an investigation is ever done, they can simply check the script revison history to see what changes were made and specifically when. But the reshoots Rian made were: Poe's flight sequences, the addition of broom boy, fixing Holdo's condescending attitude, fixing Leia's scenes due to her unexpected death. The Fanfic author lists the ideas that she believes were plagiarized which are: Phasma's staff, Snoke manipulating Reylo's force bond to bring Rey to him (other fanfic authors have wrote about this too), Reylo fighting over the lightsaber again and the saber breaking (but if you saw my other post "Rey's Parents" you'll see how I foresaw this too). Rian's reshoots have nothing to do with the ideas the author believes were plagiarized from her story.
Please do your research first before immediately believing whatever someone says on the Internet. Always seek out the truth yourself for confirmation.
EDIT: Snoke did NOT form their Force Bond because of reasons many others also already explained. How could he have formed a bond between Rey and Kylo if he had NOT even met Rey yet? Also, I've been a hardcore SW fan since I was 5 and played the games and read the comics so I know a crap load of SW lore and I know how force bonds are created and used. So don't even try to educate me about SW lore or I will go Darth Traya on you (I'll just wait and see if anyone gets this joke). But if you really want, I can send you a whole essay explaining in layman's terms. Kylo and Rey even have another Force Skype session at the end of the film even though Snoke is dead. Why do you think this was shown? Writer's intention! I can practically hear my professor screeching this in the back of my mind. Rian had so much footage to cut down but he chose to keep that last Force Skype session in because that scene is meant to tell us something! Snoke just manipulated and took advantage of their Force Bond and amplified it but the bond was already there ever since TFA's interrogation scene. If you know your lore, you'll easily know why.
Maybe after everything I said, you still think the accusation is true. Whether it be because you've already had a hatred for Rian even before this incident, or just because you hated the movie, all I want is for you to just get on Google and do some research of your own. Do your own research, think about it, and come up with your own conclusion. Don't believe a rumor without seeking the truth yourself. If you heard some girl in your class sells her body to the school virgins, would you believe it? And yes, I just used Easy A as a terrible example.
Reblog if you agree so the antis can stop with all the bull.
