MY RECIPES:

SWEET POTATO PIE

MAKES: 1 x 8-9” pie

INGREDIENTS

1 ½ lbs sweet potatoes (2-3 potatoes) (3 cups flesh), whole, to be roasted

1 x 12 oz can evaporated milk

1 cup (200g) dark brown sugar

2 eggs

5 Tbsp (70g) butter, melted

1 Tbsp lemon zest (zest of 1 lemon)

1 tsp lemon juice

1 Tbsp cinnamon

½ tsp kosher salt

½ tsp ginger

¼ tsp nutmeg

a few cracks (⅛ tsp) freshly ground black pepper

+

1 disc (½ recipe) All-Butter Pie Crust*

*I’ve posted my pie crust recipe on tumblr before tagged “recipes”

DIRECTIONS

1. Roast sweet potatoes: Preheat oven to 400°. Line a baking sheet with foil. Wash and scrub whole sweet potatoes. Pierce potatoes all over 3-5x with paring knife. Roast 45 minutes until fork tender. Let cool, then collect 3 cups flesh.

2. Prepare crust: Roll out pie dough (12-14” diameter circle, ¼” thick). Press into tin and crimp edges. Chill shaped shell in fridge or freezer until ready to use.

3. Preheat oven to 350°.

4. Make filling: Put all ingredients in food processor. Pulse 3-4x until smooth. (You can also use a blender, or simply beat ingredients until fully combined.)

5. Pour filling into pie shell.

6. Bake 45-60 minutes until puffed and firmly set (toothpick clean) everywhere except the very center, which should retain a very slight jiggle (but not look liquid). The center will set as it cools. Start checking at 45 minutes and continue baking at 5 minute intervals until set. (If crust gets too brown, shield edges with foil.)

7. Let cool completely before serving, at least 1 hour.

NOTES

Roast the potatoes whole, in the skins, so the sugars & starches properly caramelize. Do not steam or boil potatoes, even whole. They will take on water and make the filling soggy.

You can roast the potatoes up to 1 week in advance. Collect flesh day of.

PECAN PIE

MAKES: 1 x 8-9” pie

INGREDIENTS

2 cups (250g) chopped pecans

1 cup (200g) dark brown sugar

1 cup light or dark corn syrup

¼ cup (56g) butter

4 eggs

1 Tbsp vanilla

1 tsp kosher salt

1 tsp cinnamon

+

1 disc (½ recipe) All-Butter Pie Crust

DIRECTIONS

1. Prepare shell: Roll out pie dough (12-14” diameter circle, ¼” thick), press into tin, crimp edges. Chill shaped shell in fridge or freezer until ready to use.

2. Preheat oven to 350°.

3. Cook sugar syrup: In a saucepan, bring sugar, corn syrup, and butter to boil over medium heat for 1-2 minutes, whisking constantly, to cook sugar. Take off heat. Let cool slightly, 3 minutes.

4. Temper eggs: In a bowl, beat eggs until lightened and frothy. Slowly, while whisking, pour ½ cup of warm syrup into eggs. Whisk to combine. Then, while whisking, slowly pour egg mixture back into the remaining syrup mixture. Whisk until smooth.

5. Whisk in vanilla, salt, and cinnamon.

6. Pour chopped pecans into bottom of pie shell. Pour filling over pecans.

7. Bake 45-60 minutes until fully set everywhere except the very center, which should retain a very slight jiggle. The center will set as it cools. Start checking at 45 minutes and continue baking at 5 minute intervals until set.

8. Let cool completely before serving, at least 1 hour.

NOTES

Many recipes do not require you to cook the sugar before baking the pie. However, pre-cooking the sugar (and tempering the eggs) ensures the ideal gooey, silky, perfectly smooth texture.

Toast pecans if desired: Arrange pecans in a single layer on a baking sheet and toast in preheated oven 5-8 minutes.

we're truly, utterly, pretty much just friends

summary: you have loved miles for the longest time, and guess what? he likes you a lot, too. he wasn't sure at first, though. he joked about it a lot, until you had enough, now he has to come clean and admit everything to you.

word count: 1,200

oh the pain of being in love with your best friend, it's excruciating. nothing is more suffocating than being in close proximity with the boy who has your whole heart wrapped around his finger with him being none the wiser. you two have known each other practically all your lives, and for most of it... you've spent it admiring him, finding all kinds of reasons to keep falling for and loving him in ways you never thought were possible. when high school came around, you wondered if it would be worth it to tell him your feelings; surely, you wouldn't be affected if he didn't like you... right?

oh, who were you kidding? it'd hurt like falling from the sky and landing in an active volcano's magma chamber. like hell you were ever admitting your feelings to him, you wanted to keep the status quo. why would anything that wasn't broken need fixing, right? you kept up the act of being his 'closest friend' that truly loved him, in all ways, but at a distance. you felt a suffocating catharsis with him, a contradiction that haunted you whenever you felt your heart flutter when you two were together, and you feared that so badly.

you wanted to stop feeling this weirdly about him, especially when he told you he thought of you practically as family. it made you feel like you were betraying him for falling for him. well little did you know... he's betrayed you too, then, in that sense. miles has always found you amazing, just overall wonderful company and the best friend he could ever ask for. you always take care of him when he doesn't feel okay, you always listen when he has to blow off some steam, and your touch against his... it feels electrifying, it feels like home.

he does get confused sometimes why he feels a little hot in the face when you look at him for a beat too long, or why he has the urge to want to wrap his arm around your shoulders, lay his head on one of them, too, maybe... wait, why is he thinking this? he hadn't really thought of you like that before, or has he? when he pictures doing things like that with his other friends, they feel alright, but not exactly the right kind of alright he feels with you. "i just... i just care about them a lot. yeah, they're just, they just mean that much to me." he'd tell himself when he overthinks it sometimes.

but sometimes, those feelings of his take over, and sometimes, he'll do things that make your heart beat a whole lot quicker. he'd sometimes compliment you unironically for no reason, even if you didn't change anything about yourself. he'd joke about what a pretty couple you two would look like, though he'd tell it was a joke, he meant nothing by it and he'd say sorry if it put you off. 'he should be sorry for giving me hope every time,' you'd think to yourself in frustration.

you weren't exactly angry about him showing you so much affection--you were angry because he gave you hope, every time, that he'd like you back--only to be greeted with a punch in the stomach as he brushed them off as 'jokes'. you had the last straw when miles made yet another 'joke' about him falling for you. "it's just... you're quite a catch, okay? you're pretty, smart, strong too. now, i'm not saying i do like you, it's just--" "can you stop?" you asked with a stern voice as miles immediately stopped talking when you cut him off mid-sentence. your eyebrows were furrowed together angrily as you looked at his concerned expression. "what did i do?" he asked you, genuinely unsure of what he did to warrant your anger. "that. it's that obliviousness of yours. don't you get it? you're... you're giving me..." you decided not to finish that thought, in fear that you would give yourself away.

you cussed under your breath as miles bit the inside of his cheek to stop himself from saying sorry, because he knew you hated it when 'sorry' is all one can say while you were chewing them out. miles gently put a hand on your shoulder, and with a hung head and an absolutely anxious mind... he went out with it. "...i like you. so much." he admitted, placing emphasis on every syllable, hoping it sank in to you that he likes you the way you have always liked him.

he darts his eyes from your feet to his as he shuffles them a little out of anxiety, and he sighs as he looks up at your flustered face, trying to sound confident, sure of himself, but he was everything but that--and it showed. "i didn't think i'd... actually be in love when i thought about you like that, those... those thoughts i shared with you. you know, the... the 'me dating you' ones, the 'oh, you're so darn pretty, smart, strong, and everything' ones... the... 'i kinda wanna ask you out ones'... yeah... i just realized recently it meant... i like you." he said as his voice quieted and softened, as a small smile cracked on his face as he felt it growing hotter and hotter the longer he spoke.

"if you'll let me, and this is not a joke this time... if you'll let me, can i... can i court you?" he asked you in the softest voice he could muster, so scared of what you'd say. he poured his whole heart out to you, hoping you understood, hoping you'd say yes... "morales, i am going to hit you." you threatened him lightly as you tried to take your shoe off, feeling your own face get flustered as he chuckled. "i'll take it, just... i want to earn your love, i wanna do it right." he said as he wrapped his arms around you, pulling you close. "...is it bad you earned it long ago already?" you asked him, which caused his eyes to widen as he pulled back a little.

"wait, so you mean to tell me that--" before he could even finish, you planted a kiss on his lips. it was brief, it was abrupt, but all the love you pent up for him over the years was put into that very kiss. you still looked angry at him, and rightfully so, for causing you so much excitement that he'd like you back only to just recently realize it. "you'll buy me lunch today, morales." you said as you took his hand and began to trudge forward with him following, smiling all the while and getting super excited for what this meant for the both of you. "i'd buy you lunch every day, walk you home, cuddle up with you if you wanted... i'd make every day about you, that's what i mean when i say i wanna court you, mahal." he said as he interlocked his hand in your own, which made you super flustered, but you wanted to keep it under wraps--gotta make him pay for giving you so much hope from back then, of course.

Students who had no after school activities were already sent home, and at this time, the only clubs left were the sports clubs, namely basketball and badminton, and the SSLG.

Soft sounds of a guitar were coming from a classroom down the hall, a certain blonde boy opens the door only to find them, focused on the guitar, letting out a few frustrated grunts in the process

"Ang ganda mo talaga- ano bang ginagawa mo sakin, ikaw lang nakakapagpatibok sa puso ko ng ganito-" he quietly muses, as his gentle eyes gaze at his lover.

"Why am I complicating the song more-" they state, causing Kurapika to laugh softly, as he approaches his lover.

"Hi, love, paharana nga" he says in a joking tone with a smile.

"Pwede naman- kiss muna" they jokingly retort, totally not expecting Kurapika to gently cup their face and give them a soft peck on the lips.

A kiss that has both of them feeling warm and fuzzy inside, hearts racing with faces tinted a soft pink, his love so strong that his eyes were a deep scarlet.

A little while later, music fills the room, yet the world around then feels so silent and Kurapika is left gazing at his partner with so much love.

BL's I'm Watching in December

(From favorite to least)

The Sign - God, I love this series. It has everything for me. BillyBabe have amazing chemistry and I love how their pairing is written. Hate to love is my favorite trope and they do it so well cuz it’s also laced with banter, flirtation and tension. You can see them genuinely falling for each other. And on top of that, we have a really interesting storyline with lots of questions and mystery. The production value of the series is super impressive too.

City Boy Log - Technically this isn’t a BL, but to me it counts. It’s scripted and centers around two BL pairings. I binged the whole thing in a day and loved it. The chemistry between the main duo is just so good and I love how bold the actors are. I also really like the simplicity of how it's filmed, it feels super natural. It’s a very fun watch and I would love to see them get an official series.

Playboyy the Series - Yes, this show has hot scenes (tho I find some more awkward than they are probably intended to be) but I like the series because of the overall storyline. There are a hell of a lot of characters and it can be a bit confusing but I think I am following it lol. I like quite a few of the pairings and plots that are happening and I def. want to know where the show is going to go. There are some great sex positive messages and discussion about consent that are really nice to see too.

Pit Babe - Really enjoying this series. It started very strong and while I find some storylines to be a bit draggy, it’s really fun to get an omega verse BL. I think they could do a bit more with it, but they seem to be slowly moving in that direction. Again, this series has an overall storyline arc that is mysterious and I’m curious to know where it’s headed. I also love the chemistry between Pavel and Pooh.

Last Twilight - I’m not as in love with this series as others seem to be but I still really enjoy it. It’s nice to see a series that sort of starts more with friendship that blossoms into something deeper and I find the plot of one character being the caretaker for the other to be very sweet and also unique. The scenes where JimmySea just touch hands are so powerful so I am loving their slow progression.

Breeze of Love - Binged this whole series in a night, and it was a great. Very fun watch. Weak kissing scene but sort of expected and it didn’t take away from the series much for me because I did like the chemistry of the main pair. I think some things could have been better but I liked it.

Twins the Series - This series can be dumb at times, and some storylines are a bit blasé but overall I am having a lot of fun watching it. I really like the chemistry between the main duo.

Destiny Seeker - This one ended a bit ago but I finally got a chance to watch the series and I loved it. Mostly for the main pairing who were so fun to watch. Have I mentioned I love hate to love pairings?

The Egoist (movie) - Not a series but a movie that I also finally got around to watching. I was loving it, at first. It was fantastic. The chemistry was great and the storyline hit hard. Hated the ending though, so a bit of a warning for anyone that is curious, if you don’t like unhappy endings, don’t watch lol.

My Story - Filo BL’s can be a bit cheesy at times and this one was no exception. I do think it started a bit better than it ended and I had to fastfoward quite a bit of the show, but I did like the chemistry between the pairings and enjoyed watching it.

Cooking Crush - Was unsure of this series at first, and I am not a big fan of cooking type shows, but I think this one is got a lot better starting with ep 2. I have always liked OffGun too and I am enjoying the cutesy moments and stuff at least. So we'll give it a chance to grow.

Unforgotten Night - An older series I am finally getting around to watching. Loved the first ep, then the next few were kind of bland. I didn’t hear great things about it, so we’ll see how it fits in at my end of year ranking (prob. will make the 2024 list tho since I am watching SLOW lol...) but I do really love the premise of the series. More friends with benefits type bl’s please!

The Day I Loved You - Another filo BL that I watched this month and it was quite enjoyable and cute. I liked the first half much better than the second half, it got a bit sad/depressing for me but I still think it was very well done and reminded me of a bit of heartstopper. Would def recommend people to check it out.

For Him - This one is okay, it doesn’t really have much of a point to me right now? lmao. But I think the sex scenes are well done and it’s holding my interest enough to keep watching.

Cherry Magic Thailand - I want to like this one, but something about it is just off for me. I like TayNew but am not in love with them and I think this version is a lot less cute and quirky like the original was. It just feels a bit awkward to me and I find Tay’s inner voice to be a bit silly? I wish it was more serious and sweet and less cringey lol. I also find New’s character to be a bit pathetic considering he is a 30 year old man… I understand it was following the OG SL, but again, I feel like that series just did everythin better lol…. But, I’ll give it a chance.

You Are Mine - This one was alright, I enjoyed parts of it, other parts I found kind of slow. It's def. not going to be an all-time favorite for me, but it was worth watching.

My Dear Gangster Oppa - Love Meen. Love the main duo’s chemistry, they feel natural together. Loved the first episode… but then, I just kinda stopped caring. The whole gangster/mob stuff just didn’t interest me and I found the overall plot of the main pairing to be a bit rushed. Wish they had built that up a tad more. But it was alright.

Brothers the Series - Another past BL that I’ve only seen a few eps of so far, so it’s hard to judge, but it’s okay so far. I do like the chemistry between the main pair and am curious to know where they are going to take things. But I am going very slow with this one.

Sahara Sensei to Toki-Kun - Only seen a few eps of this one and so far I’m, not really that into it. It’s okay and has some cute moments, but I don’t really like the chemistry between the main duo all that much, and I find it quite creepy he has a crush on a teacher tbh… But, we’ll see where it goes. Not one of Japan’s best imo.

VIP Only - This series is okay but I find it kind of boring. I like the main pairing okay, but I’m also not feeling the storyline that much, it’s just a bit bland to me.

7 Days Before Valentine - Sort of interesting premise and I like the chemistry between the angel dude and the main guy (if it’s even going to go there?) but there are some dumb/weird scenes and moments and the storyline is frustrating too. We’ll see what happens.

I Will Knock You - Older series I am finally attempting to skim through but it’s very meh. The chemistry is just okay. The plot is pretty boring. The main guy is a bit of an ass and hard to like right now but I also kinda like the banter? Maybe? IDK.

Middleman’s Love - Wanted to like this series because I like the characters and the chemistry but it’s just been dragging and dragging since ep 1. I didn't expect it to take this long for something to happen between the main two and the main character can be really annoying and frustrating and a bit TOO dramatic. They use him to be funny but he just comes off obnoxious? Bit of a bust for me. The series just doesn’t have a purpose...

Bake Me Please - Don’t like this series at all really. I don’t think the main couple has any chemistry. Ohm’s character is frankly annoying! And their relationship went from 0 to 60 in like 1 scene. I would just stop watching alll together, but it’s got so few episodes that I might as well just finish it.

Tie the Knot - This one is at the bottom cuz I barely remember what it was about but I just remember I skimmed the majority of it lol.

I have re-read the entire chapter *playing cruel summer on loop in the background and switching to pc to write this ask* because I need to gather my thoughts nyahahaha fr got shocked with the opening part as I wasn't expecting it XD. This will be a long one kasi I included my favorite parts.. :P At first I thought this was a parallel to chapter 12 iirc, the conversation they had after y/n came back and she thought that everything is just going too well, the whole conversation going too well and the end part *wink wink* while the date is not going according to y/n plan. "You’ve told her that three—maybe four—times now. Not that you’re counting, but each time it gets a little easier to say. And you hope, for her, it gets a little easier to hear" - word's of affirmation love language ni Y/N and I like that Leigh just let's it or at least allow her to say these words to her. "and for Leigh, speaking things into existence feels like an indelible commitment—a promise carved into stone. But maybe some things are beloved even before they ever take shape" -- this is incredibly poetic like you wouldn't know what hits you kind of thing.

"Instinctively, you snatch her hand, holding fast for dear life." -- takot mawala te? "More than anything, though, you're struck by Leigh's bold declaration to a near stranger—that she was going to kiss you by the end of this date." - Go Leigh, ipagpatuloy mo mag stake ng claim kay reader at titiklop talaga yan.

Perhaps it’s a good lesson to learn that not everything has to be perfect to be right.  At least, not with Leigh Shaw. --- THIS?! (NO WORDS WALA AKONG MASABI IT'S PERFECT!) “I didn't actually have a boyfriend until I was twenty-two,” ( waw the asian + filo in me could never, it will probably me at thirty or never *cries lol* ) and many more part (tama na baka ma sobra sa limit lol) and speaking of Cruel Summer song, the angst part now match these lines "We say that we'll just screw it up in these trying times We're not trying." and oh boi did y/n just falling fast ready to give it all for Leigh then there's Leigh "I'm always waiting for you just to cut to the bone" na it will be Matt all over again... idk but this is how I perceive the whole chapter and relating it to the song nyahahahaha and finalllyyyyy the reciprocated 3 words with reassurance (sinong di ngingiti jan diba lol)!! I just know that y/n's love language is words of affirmation and gift giving pero she's still afraid and very careful around Leigh that she's conceiving this certain idea about her without knowing that y/n's coming on too strong na pala and needs to yellow light muna... They need to talk without those intense emotions (forgetting about Sara and mag hunos dili muna silang dalawa sa action) so that's my rambles and incoherent thoughts sa chapter. silver under nightfall by rin chupeco is ! a book ! i like it a lot if only because i am weak for vampire romance and court drama and liek . vampire hunter x vampireS (PLURAL!!!!!) ... its very queer i think and remy (main chara vampire hunter) is also nb coded sort of. also hes fantasy filipino and i have never seen filo rep in fantasy and like. if theres one thing filipinos like its seeing other filipinos and going PHILIPPINES ? we have to stan

(my hot take is that the second book is not nearly as like. as good? it felt really disappointing and i was bummed. but the first one is a fun read so like? worth it if you like the idea of vampires x vampire hunter in a fun sort of fantasy world!!) (if i will be so real with you i think the whole series is like. campy and cheesy and not written like Perfect but sometimes a boy doesn't wanna eat a good meal sometimes he wants like something deep fried u know??)

TXT ASM BULACAN RECAP:

still wrapping my head around the last 48 hours it's been a surreal experience! To think that a week ago I debated cancelling my trip because i was so anxious thinking about how large crowds make me panic and I didn't think I could handle this. Wow I am so glad I pushed through and went ahead with it because once I arrived at the venue the crowd wasn't at all an anxiety factor. Filipino moa are so incredibly kind enthusiastic and fun! I can't find enough nice words to say about everyone I met last night, be it waiting in line, taking photos for each other, exchanging freebies and photocards, navigating the venue together, and of course enjoying the concert together. Yeonjun was absolutely loving the crowd and he kept mentioning that they were the best among the entire tour and judging from fancams and having attended the Seoul concert myself I can definitely agree LOL no one can compete with filo moa!

I ended up sitting next to two middle aged women who were yeonjun stans and they were like "people think it's weird cause we're older than them but they (txt) remind me of my nephews and they feel like sons to me" and it made me want to say thank you someone gets it!!!! Fangirl love is much more than the reductionist love people assume fangirls have for boy bands. love and admiration come in so many forms and it's beautiful.

My favorite moments were the interactive moments they had with the crowd in between stages. They had a moment where they had the crowd copy what they were doing and saying, and soobin made moa shout "SOOBIN! You're a HOT GUY!" and it made all the members laugh. Kai had us say "Kai you're the best skrrrrrt" and everyone burst out laughing when the crowd did the skrrt part, like beomgyu genuinely lost it ahahahaha

Taehyun wasn't in the best condition unfortunately. it wasn't anything noticeable from an audience perspective but things started looking a bit off when he ran backstage twice during the ments of the other members. At first we thought he was just getting his in ear fixed, but when he disappeared a second time we were wondering what was up. He also looked pretty tired, and mentioned at the end of the concert that he felt a bit regretful because he wasn't feeling too great. However based on his vocals and dance I couldn't tell anything was off at all, like he has such a powerful voice and stage presence and it sucks knowing he didn't feel great :(

Kai and Beomgyu stole the show for me! I am absolutely bias wrecked by the birthday boy. He can belt some notes like damn. How do they do that?? Especially during blue hour and cysm when they're jumping so much for the chorus.

Can I just say I think soobin and I have a spiritual introvert connection cause seeing him being his usual awkward self on stage, shy from all the cheering and attention, and just generally being a bit of a dork, I felt this primal need to hug the guy and say SAME BESTIE

That kind of sums up the night - I felt like I was watching a group of friends who I met in college get up on stage and do some amazing shit but then chat with the crowd like they were on a stand up comedy skit. I think that's what I love so much about txt: they feel like your average silly dudes (dare I say a group of gay guys who you feel safe around or will that trigger the hetero fans lol) who then turn around after being all playful and unserious and pull off an incredibly professional and stellar show!

People can say what they want about parasocial relationships, but having this kind of connection with an artist is truly special and unforgettable. I've never experienced a concert like this where there was such a strong feedback loop of the fans giving the artist love and energy and them equally delivering it right back to us. It was a neverending cycle the whole night. The venue was so full of love, and I don't think I've laughed and smiled as much as I did yesterday in literal months. My heart feels so at ease.

She had invited Toga to hang out tomorrow, going to the mall like regular teens did. Quite honestly she only wanted to window gaze at the figures of her favorite games she'd never be able to afford. Toga had promptly offered to write them down and steal them, as well as some for Tao as well. If he wanted any, of course. "This is so weird", Filo said, "I'm texting two known and very hunted criminals like I'd text my friends." Tao hummed and nodded, because what else should he do? She wasn't lying there. "It's weirder for them, I guess. A hero in training treating them like actual human beings and not monsters incarnate." "They aren't monsters. Monsters act different. Take Dabi for example. He was abused by his dad and then thrown away, who wouldn't be pissed?"Tao frowned, sitting up a bit. "What do you mean? You never really talked o him, and he didn't tell any of us where he's from." Filo sat up as well, humming.

"Well, his body is obviously not adapted to his quirk. Said quirk is an extremely hot fire. Then given his eye color, his hatred on Endeavour specifically, and all the small things I gathered from Shoto. It leads me to believe that Dabi's real name is Toya Todoroki, which would make him Endeavour's oldest. Shoto told me his oldest brother had a fire quirk stronger than their father's, but inherited his mother's ice-conditioned body. Dabi has the same eye color as Endeavour, hates him, and Shoto told me that 'Toya' was trained by their father to be his successor, before Shoto was born and Toya got replaced. If that ain't a villain origin story, then I don't know what is." Tao blinked, starring at his friend. Laid out like this, it made sense. A frightening amount of sense. More so given she had spoken not even five sentences to Dabi and seen him for could only come up to ten minutes. And while he didn't knew how much time she had spent with Shoto, he knew the other boy wouldn't just give up such personal info in passing. Which meant Filo was either really close to Shoto, or she had deduced all of it by just having heard small bits of information. And if that was the case, she'd make such a good informant. Maybe he should tell Tomura about this. After asking Dabi if she was right, of course. If it was wrong, then it would only be embarrassing.

Tao walked calmly through the streets and alleyways, heading towards the new LOV hideout. He'd texted Tomura the night prior that he would be visiting for the day. Toga had already left, going to meet with Filo to go into the bustling city and shop. Or rather look for things both wanted and later Toga would steal. It made Tao smile. Seeing his best friend now gaining friendship with the group he saw as family.

Tao knocked on the door, in the same tune he always had. He heard shuffling before the door opened to reveal Shigaraki. He'd stop itching at his neck upon seeing Tao, and motioned him in. "Thanks for the information you sent yesterday, by the way." Tao nodded and was lead through the base. "No problem. Thought it could be useful." Shigaraki nodded. Tao looked around curiously, wondering if everyone else happened to just be in their rooms. "Hey is Dabi here today? Had a question for him.." Tao asked. Tomura raised a brow as he took off his fathers hand, setting it down on the small table next to the couch. He pointed to a hall. "Last room to the right. Don't have to tell you to knock, unlike everyone else here.." Tao nodded with a smile and hurried off down the hall. The base was a bit bigger than the previous one. It was also in a more secluded area. He made it to the last door and let out a breath before knocking. "The hell is it?" Dabi's annoyed voice asked from behind. Tao shifted in his place. "J-just me...can I ask a quick question-?" Dabi huffed and stood up, stomping over to his door and opening it. Tao glanced at him before deciding it was better to not look at his piercing eyes. "Look..Filo told me something about you. I just wanted to ask..if it was true." Dabi narrowed his eyes before letting Tao in his room before shutting the door. "What is it?"

Dabi sat in silence after Tao explained all what Filo said, eyes trained on the concrete floor below. He let out an exhale. "Yeah..it's true." He finally said. Tao's eyes widened. "Oh god..I-I'm so sorry Dabi-" "Look it's fine. You better keep your mouth shut about it. Tell her that as well." Dabi threatened. Tao nodded quickly. He wasn't one to go around babbling secrets to the world. "If you ever want to..talk about it, just find me. It's not like I'd judge.." Tao offered a smile as he stood. Dabi only glanced up at him and gave a small nod. With that, Tao left and headed back to Shigaraki. Now knowing Filo was right in her deduction, he could tell Tomura about this. "Ah there you are." Tomura looked over as Tao reentered the main room. He gave a smile and sat down on the couch next to him. "Last night, Filo told me about Dabi and why she believes something that no one knows. T-thats why I went to go ask him if it was true..it was." Shigaraki raised a brow. "Meaning, she could be an informant. A really good one." His eyes widened, looking at Tao. He only continued. "And you know she isn't going to turn us in..it's perfect." He smiled.

WOW, 2020 was A YEAR. This was hard ranking these but I'll try my best...

1. Where Your Eyes Linger [Korean] - One of my all time favorite series, I think because I really felt the chemistry between the actors in this one. I love the whole bodyguard sort of trope as well and the writing in this was so well done imo. I loved the tension filled moments and build up between the two. I just wanted moreeeee.

2. I Told Sunset About You [Thai] - Season 2 was iffy but season 1 was AMAZING from start to finish. I felt like I watching a movie. The writing, the scenery, the build up for the main pair... it was all so well done.

3. Color Rush [Korean] - The storyline for this BL is just so fun, I really loved the entire premise of this world. The chemistry between the two was nice and Korea does such a good job of building up the connection between their pairings. I'm sad that season 2 dipped a bit in quality and that season 1 felt a tad unfinished, but I still really enjoyed it.

4. Why R U [Thai] - This was a well done BL that was fun, I enjoyed the chemistry between Saint and Zee and I didn't find the drama or the angst overwhelmingly frustating. Plus it had a nice side ship and I liked the love scenes too.

5. 2gether [Thai] - I know people love this one, and I really enjoyed it too. It's perfect for those with a sweet tooth. There are some really great affectionate/sweet moments betweeen the main pairing. It was also the first BL I ever watched (if you don't count waterboyyy way back in the day lol) so it has a soft spot in my heart. But I do think it was a tad too safe for me. I prefer my BL's to have angstier/hotter moments throughout. The ending kiss made up for things, but it was unreastic to not have a proper kiss beore that. JMO.

6. Manner of Death [Thai] - I saw a gif of maxtul from this on tumblr and it's what originally got me into BL's. It spiked my interest. I see those two as the grandfathers of BL because they have been in so many things together, and their connection is so strong. I enjoyed this one a lot because it was a more mature series, and had it's own vibe/feel to it that I really appreciated.

7. TharnType Season 2 [Thai] - Season 2 wasn't as strong as season 1 for me but it was still enjoyable. I was really into Mew/Gulf and their chemistry when I first started watching BL's because it felt so genuine to me, and T+T was one of the first shows to really push the boundaries with the intimacy. Solid season.

8. Your Name Engraved Herein [Taiwan] - This was such a beautiful movie, with a positive ending, and I really loved watching it. It was depressng at times, but overall I just think it was so well done.

9. Mr. Heart [Korean] - Recently rewatched this series and it was so good! So fun and enjoyable. Loved the storyline, it felt pretty unique. I enjoyed the connection between the main two. What brings it down for me a bit is some of the physical moments in the series, like when one of them would hit the other... not for me. But overall, I could look past some of things because I enjoyed the rest of it.

10. Cherry Magic [Japan] - Such a cute and fun series, and definitely one of the most memorable ones for Japan. I had a bit of an issue with the intimacy stuff (they really couldn't even peck on the lips once??? It felt too platonic to me at times) but that aside, it was well written and a great watch.

11. Boy’s Lockdown [Filo] - This is actually my favorite of all the "quarantine" related series we got after Covid. To me, it was cute and fun and we got to see the main two come together in a nice and organic way. It was a good mix of different content.

12. Gaya Sa Pelikula [Filo] - Some cheesey/annoying moments for me, mostly regarding the sister character, but the rest of the series was nicely done. It also sort of felt like a mini movie. It has a slightly different vibe for me from other Filo series. I enjoyed it a lot.

13. Wish You [Korea] - Not my ultimate favorite series from Korea but it was well done. Wish I had more to say about it haha. But it was good.

14. Hello Stranger [Filo] - Another quarantine related story, and for a "web series" where the characters never really met til the end, it was really enjoyable. It was a great depiction of what students were going through during covid and I liked the way they went from scene to scene and did different interactions.

15. Because of You [Taiwan] - Def. some low/cheesey moments in this one as well but it was the first Taiwan series that I saw, so I enjoyed how different it felt compared to the other countries. Taiwan definitely has it's own style too. I liked that there were three couples in this one, and I enjoyed all three storylines.

Honorary Mentions: I'm not going into details with any of these series, overall I found parts of them enjoyable, but there were things I didn't love overall. But still worth checking out.
