watching the kaiju no. 8 anime and the kafka + reno dynamic is so top-tier. contrasting reno, a sterotypical edgy anime teenager, with kafka, a pretty regular guy in his 30s, has such endless comedy to it.

they're father-son coded but reno did the adopting. he saw how lame and wet kafka was and fetched the adoption papers out himself.

It's three days after the election and Alex and Henry haven't left the house very much.

Time has started to lose it's meaning in a way it hasn't since high school summer vacation. It's a nice feeling, the way it's melting slowly like wax. Sleeping in until early afternoon has caught up to them, but neither of them mind. Together and apart has been their only way to track time for too long for that.

Despite the fact that it's three in the morning, they've just finished lunch. Or some meal that doesn't have a name.

Henry is curled up in Alex's arms, his head in his lap. He's watching the television, and Alex is watching him.

Alex looks down and smiles. He loves the way Henry rests his head on his wrists, the way he wriggles and taps his foot. A fondness that feels like it might break his rib cage open spreads throughout his chest. On the screen Julia Roberts is asking Hugh Grant to love her, and no matter how romantic that is, Henry will never have to ask.

hello!! don’t apologize, my ask box is open no matter what, i love questions!

i don’t think he’d go all out per se, as i don’t view him as a dude who’d spend loads of money on outfits (like the preps do), so i think he’d wear something super simple. like casey, he wears a mask or something. maybe he’d go as a zombie? it’s something simple. plus he can just wear his regular sweater/letterman and it wouldn’t really affect much!
