Before I yap abt him, he does suck, he's lazy and arrogant but I like characters like that :( [bill,jax,octavian] bc they're also lonely >:) and somethings could be inaccurate

So Gladstone Gander is really lucky, y'know, to contrast Donald's unluckiness. The latest version of the family tree is kinda messy, but the in the latest family tree Gladstone's bio parents are Goostave Gander and Daphne Duck. There's also many versions of how Gladstone got his luck, but I think the most common one is that he inherited it from Daphne in the Sign of the Triple Distlefink. (Funfact, Gladstone and his mom share the same bday) Both his parents died when they 'overate at a free picnic' (interpret that as you will) when he was young. That sounds pretty unlucky, right? In the Sign of the Triple Distlefink (I couldn't find a scan that wasn't a link to nsfw D:) It's revealed that Glandstone started having bad luck on his bdays when he was younger due to a prank donald pulled on him. Not to look into to it too much, but it is plausible that it could've been Gladstone's (and Daphne's) bday when they died. So. yeah.

Another thing about Gladstone is that most ppl seem to only use him for his luck, so he is lonely. ITS SO INTERESTING. Cause he could have all the friends he wants, but none of them would want to be friends with him for HIM. They'd just want his luck. And he really can't complain abt his luck, because it's probably the only reason hes still a functioning member of society, but there are so many downsides to being perpetually unlucky! He can never form genuine connections, he can't experience actually doing something, getting his hands dirty, adventure and all that. There are a couple of comics that I can't remember the names of that touch on this!

Ok. Dt17 Gladstone sucks. He's a lazy arrogant guy but. Dt17 shows that a lot of the relationships in the family did fall apart after Della went missing. And, if I was stuck in a casino and no one remembered me. Well. (POOR FETHRY OMG THOUGH ajghfkgjlkhj) AND THE MOMENT OF BREAKTHROUGH WHY DID THE WRITERS TEASE US W CHARCTER DEVELOPMENT AGH

All of this isn't to say he's a great guy though. I just enjoy deeply flawed characters who are definitely lonely. He still does suck (Trying to take daisy from donald, hes rude, and the dt17 willing to leave them in the casino) but. Morally gray :3

If by this you mean what I like/dislike most about the somewhat niche Eska and Desna fandom: What I dislike the most is usually just some headcanons here and there I don't agree with. But, it'd be silly of me to think I'm a sort of authority over those ideas. It's a me problem. I'm just a bit anal-retentive about how these two are interpreted. For example: My least fave interpretation of them is that they have identical personalities. I do not agree !! I think Eska and Desna have complementary personalities, overshadowed by their shared upbringing, which I don't doubt was very strange in many ways. If I get any deeper in this headcanon I'll be here all day, but you get the point, I hope. What I like the most is we're all very based and epic and have amazing opinions I think. Which, I know, totally contradicts what I just said, but headcanons are still opinions. We're all based because we like E&D, but also if you've been obsessed with them as long as I have, you've seen some crazy niche memes float around. We have a shared experience, a bond. So, basically what I'm saying is, this is a cult. We're in a cult together, all of us. Holding hands, maybe even killing each other for the seat on the throne of this cult? Platonically, of course <3
