Idiot4idiot at peak levels.

Eddie can't string two words together, furiously blushing, stumbling and awkwardly giggling. Yes, he was able to flirt with Steve during the shit show of spring break but he thought he was going to die. He was like, fuck it, I'm flirting with this pretty boy because life is short.

Steve who's suddenly suave in a way that makes Robin genuinely jealous but everyone quickly realizes it's only for Eddie. Steve didn't know how to take the flirting from the upside down fiasco. He was initially flustered but once he figured out what he wanted (Eddie Munson's stupidly attractive hands all over him) he went into hyper focus. Tunnel vision so strong he cannot fail.

They flirt so much everyone bets on when they'll finally get together. Movie nights are both unbearable and hilarious. Pool day...forget it, the boys are lost in the sauce of the lusty gravitational pull they've found themselves in.

Steve delightedly turning Eddie's words against him, asking Eddie if he's still a big boy while they play twister on game night. Eddie just chokes and collapses.

It's a masterclass in slow, deliberate seduction except that Eddie has no idea that Steve is serious. He spends all his time like this:

They get together because Steve finally point blank tells Eddie he's been trying to seduce him for the last year.

Eddie: well why didn't you just say so?!

Steve, thinking of all the horny unhinged shit he's done and said: yeah why didn't I just say so...

Okay a season 4 au Eddie’s full name is Benjamin Edward Munson and everyone finds out about this from the radio while driving the RV, some local news update. Everyone turns and stares at him. Steve slams on the breaks.

Eddie: … what?

Lucas: Your first name is Benjamin?

Eddie, scowling: and if you ever call me that, I’ll—

Everyone: OH GOD

And that’s how Eddie gets man handled into a bullet proof vest and a motor cycle helmet, and any other protective tactical great they find.

so originally i actually intended to redraw a panel from like a more plot-relevant moment but then ell posted this moment and it just really hit home for me — one of the things in 2al that i love so much is just like how much hope there is throughout. how much love and joy. like the leos are literally stuck in this horrible looping pattern of loss, almost a doomed destiny narrative of sorts, but throughout the whole narrative theres levity and light even in dire circumstances — and it comes from loving yourself and those around you and participating in the joys of the present moment and just idk man like.

yes there are terrible foes that feel impossible to face alone. yes life has taken a lot from me. yeah. but. i will put on my shirt today. i am going to have a good day today.

so ofc i had to draw this one, but tbh im not super thrilled with how sprouts face came out in the end?? SO i went through some of my fave mini comics and did the one with Big Leo and Sprout bc, again, im emotional.

They had a bit of a chance encounter on a day where Blueblood was dealing with something that was very difficult and was so caught up in his emotions he didn’t even care that he was in the garden getting grass stans on his coat and Ditzy, with her natural impulse to cheer ponies up, didn’t even notice or care that she was flying into the palace gardens when she saw someone sat in the rain.

At first he was definitely going to call the castle guards to come apprehend this strange filly with the odd eyes who was intruding when this was the last moment he’d want to entertain any desperate debutantes, however she surprised him by not fawning or anything, not even caring about his status, just putting one of her fluffy wings up and asking if he needed somepony to lend an ear.

“Don’t let my eyes fool you, my ears work just fine!”

She was incredibly disarming and while he didn’t reveal everything about why he was upset, he found himself talking about his feelings to her. And she made such cheerful remarks, and was very comforting. In the end, he felt better and she came to check on him the next day, even sharing a blueberry muffin with him. He remarked that he’d never seen her around before, and that he wouldn’t mind terribly seeing her more often.

The rest, as they say, is history.
