Probably my most unpopular Alfred headcanon is that he didn't participate in the roaring 20's at all because he was busy being a farmer in Oklahoma that decade
#hws america#aph america#Hetalia#it serves narrative purpose in my mind#I headcanon that from about 1835 to 1930 actually wasn't getting paid by the U.S government#and was bouncing from state to state taking human jobs to make ends meet#in the 1910's he was working in the meat packing industry in Chicago#but when he got involved with union organizing for that industry he ended up having to skip town to avoid an FBI raid#flees to Rural Oklahoma and changes his name from Alphonsus Kirkland to Alfred Jones#and this sets him up to be in the middle if the dust bowl in the 30's (a historical period I find much more interesting than the 20's)#the dust bowl causes him to move out to California where he works as a seasonal farm laborer for a while#and then when FDR becomes president putting Alfred back on payroll gets lumped into his social welfare reform#and Alfred finally gets a hand in his own government again#and yeah I know no one else in the fandom agrees with this#but you know#my blorbo and my blog so I'll say what I want

Short Break and To Dos!
Hello all! 🍄🍄👻 I'm glad to see people enjoying Day 3 so far! I was so nervous about showing another side to Mychael in the update I thought people wouldn't like him as much but plenty have reacted positively! ❤️
I'll add a TLDR; above the read more, but if you don't mind my ramblings and want more details about everything, I'll write everything below! Light spoilers ahead!
I'll be taking a short break from MO development until 28th October to work on a short VN for the Monstrous Desires jam!
Most probably missed it, but there's a tiny small patch to Day 3 explained here.
Queue will return soon! I just gotta handle some housekeeping first with my Patreon.
Regarding the feedback on Day 3, I'm glad people aren't as averse to the new side of Mychael, in that he isn't always soft and sweet. I want people to fall in love with a person after all, not a yandere caricature, and that means that person can get upset, angry and sometimes irrational when we don't know what's going on in their head even towards the subject of their affections. While some (understandably!) were shocked about his reaction to the mushrooms, it'll be clear as to why (hopefully!)
Some of you have given incredibly accurate theories, and I'll take that as something I've done well in building up the mystery!!! I'm excited to share more in the next update, but for now!
1. I'll be taking a short break from MO development to work on a short VN for the Monstrous Desires jam!
What I have planned for Day 4 of MO might be the biggest update so far, since one route will lead to a few official BAD ENDINGS as opposed to 'dead ends' like the current demo has. To those who really want to, you finally get to see Mychael at his worst. As usual, writing the script takes a few months with plenty of changes in between, and I don't wanna bulldoze ahead and rush the story when it's getting to the climax!
But before I jump into all of that I just wanna give myself a creative exercise and try exploring a different theme, style and setting with a fresh new character for the jam! Since I'm a sucker for the trope... yes, the new blorbo will also be a yandere, sorry, I'm predictable.💔 The jam ends on October 28th so development on MO will continue then!
The last time I wrote something remotely sci-fi was in high school, so this will be fun to try!
2. Most probably missed it, but there's a tiny small patch to Day 3 explained here.
What it says on the tin! If you've already played Day 3, rest assured there's no significant story changes. Just an updated credits list, three extra sprites for one route and a small fix in the code.
3. Queue will return soon! I just gotta handle some housekeeping first with my Patreon.
Plenty of people have sent such sweet and encouraging messages to my inbox on what they thought of the update and I cannot thank all of you enough for the support!! I can't wait to post them out to archive them on the blog and answer all your interesting theories and queries in my queue!
But for now I'm due for a short break from my socials and to catch up on my Patreon sketch requests haha. I also plan to release cut content from Day 3 for my Yearling and Deer patrons. Plus, I'll be working on some written prompts for extra lore so that's something to look forward to!
I'll be back soon! Take care, fireflies!! ❤️

Is there a specific scientific term for what I'll call "harm construction", meaning "thinking of ways that something harms someone in order to condemn it"? There must be, right? I see it all the time and it's not new. Let me give some examples in random order.
One of the first cases where I really remember it was at least a decade ago, an online article by a British newspaper, about how an online store had put a pole dancing pole in their toys section. A bit of an embarrassing mistake but nothing more.
However, that article provided several quotes from a British couple who said they were very worried, because their kid could have seen that. It seems pretty clear that their kid did not, in fact, actually see it, but the newspaper treated their concern as if it was a genuine thing to worry about. It was utterly ridiculous.
A more recent example is a call-out ask I received a few months ago and, of course, immediately deleted, but it's still been living rent-free in my head since then, because it was so horribly bad. I'll not repeat the exact wording, but they were annoyed that their victim blog (which I don't follow and haven't for years, if ever, and they don't follow me) was annoying and sometimes said mean things. They very ineptly tried to explain that this might have been part of the reasons why someone else, completely unrelated, sent out hate messages to yet another person. That was the harm that was so big that it supposedly justified a targeted harassment campaign. (If you're the person who wrote that call-out ask, please rethink your life. You were only increasing the hate in the world, not making anything better. I suspect the sender wasn't anyone who actually follows me, but just in case).
The biggest and most prominent example of harm construction right now is of course all about trans people, bathrooms and school sports. Conservatives and TERFs alike need a reason to oppose the existence of trans people beyond "I personally find them weird", because saying that out loud gets them correctly branded as bigots. How do you turn "let's be really mean to a marginalised group" into a progressive cause? By saying that the existence of this group causes harm. The problem with that is that trans people existing does not actually cause any harm, it's literally fine.
So in an effort to construct harm after all, they have searched far and wide for something that trans people could even theoretically damage, and the only things they managed to come up with are "there might be someone with unexpected genitals behind that bathroom stall door" and "the sanctity of gender-segregated sports". If it weren't for their cultural and political power then it would almost be funny how little potential harm they managed to find and how much they have to amplify it. They're just another couple in the newspaper worried that their kid might potentially see a website.
If you look for it, harm construction is everywhere, because we all sort of agree on a surface level that dividing people into "normal, acceptable" and "weird, must be punished" isn't nice, but the instinct to punish people for being "weird" is still alive and well and many people refuse to question it.
At a completely different end, anytime someone uses the word "normalisation" about a fanfic on Ao3, that's another example. We all know making blorbos do weird things doesn't actually hurt anybody (assuming proper tagging and so on), but we still want to punish people who do it wrong. So we construct harm, by arguing that seeing something on Ao3 might "normalise" the thing and make it more likely that someone will do it in real life.
These examples are very different, at very different ends of almost all scales of power and cultural influence and meaning, but the core idea is always the same. So, yeah. There must be a better term for this.

I've decided to turn off anons. For most of you I know that's probably not a surprise lol I'm just sick of people coming into my page and insulting me over things I never said or just insulting me period. All I've ever wanted to do is share my thoughts and blorbos on this blog. I never intend to cause ill will to anyone. You can disagree with what I'm saying without throwing insults or calling me things I definitely am not. If you don't like what I have to say, block me. But I do have a right to defend myself especially when the claims against me are false or misinterpreted based on ones own personal projections onto a character.
At least without anons I can immediately block them and it'll discourage most from doing it anyways. So if you do have an ask for me and you don't feel comfortable coming out of anon, I'm sorry. Maybe I'll turn it on again one day.

Nothing annoyed a younger me more than opening ao3 to look up my favourite character only to find so many fics that were so contradictory to how he’d actually act (mostly for the sake of shipping, but the way fandom sometimes treats m/m parings and feels the need to shove them into certain roles and traits is a completely different conversation that I will not be getting into)
I think a lot of this is because of people wanting these characters to fit into tropes and stereotypes that they were never made for, so they end up stripping them of all defining characteristics so they can fit the perfect mould, which is more of a bigger issue with fandom as a whole rather than a couple people mischaracterising my blorbo
But honestly? Good for them, it may be annoying, but they’re doing something creative that makes them happy and there is nothing more beautiful than that
I’m all for people doing whatever they want forever and if that means wildly mischaracterising my favourite guy, then go ahead and have a blast I’m genuinely happy for you, even though I can’t stand it and it makes me die a little on the inside
Something I will never get though is people trying to explain away/ justify/ just comply ignore any bad thing a character they like has done. That’s the best part of them! You’re allowed to like villains, can you really say you love them if you can’t accept them, war crimes and all?
Conclusion: make bad, cringey art. It doesn’t matter if it’s entirely self indulgent you made it for you anyway
(I still voted yes on the pole though, at that point they are just glorified oc’s, but who cares? I don’t have to read those fic’s or interact with those people at all)
on this blog we're big believers of "doing what you want forever"
but to be honest when it comes to mischaracterising i'm probably the worst for it, i'll just pick one character trait and just latch onto it permanently
like i don't even remember anything about sae niijima but whenever i put something in the microwave i still slam the table like YOU REHEATED LASAGNA YOU MUST HAVE HAD THE HELP OF A MICHELIN STAR CHEF

~Let's talk about credit~
(not financial credit trust me you don't want to take financial advice from me lol)
No, today I am inviting y'all to the table to talk about the importance of crediting other creators in fandom!
Because, listen. We don't have a peer-review system. We don't have to submit our stuff to a plagiarism checker or go through stringent editing when shitposting on tumblr; we operate in an honor system of crafting folklore using our favorite blorbos, and that means that inspiration and using the specific words and images from canon creates a grey area on what ought to be credited, and how to do it in a way that creates a solid, strong community.
Here's a little of my philosophy and how I give proper credit where it's due, so I figured I'd share them to hopefully encourage others in making sure no one out there ends up becoming fandom's James Somerton
1. Links are your friends, use them enthusiastically
Drooled over a gifset that made you write a poem? Read a fic that made you pull out your embroidery hoop? Saw some art that made you write a song? Link to the original! Tag the original artist, hyperlink to the giffer, share the fic via the amazing shortcut button on Ao3, it's what those creators deserve! Even if it's a shitpost, that creator is where your idea started, and it's the right thing to do to share directly where your audience can connect with the person who inspired you.
This holds INFINITELY true if you are directly quoting someone. If you've used someone else's words to create your own work, link back to the original. No one wants to be sent a fic or a funny post on tumblr and then feel the sinking pit in their stomach when they realize that post is their own words with someone else's name on them.
2. Ask for permission when you can
Now, the reason I threw the addendum on this with "when you can" is because knowing when to ask for permission is more of an art versus a science. I myself have written more than one fic inspired by art where I didn't reach out to the artist before I shared the fic because I had no contact with them (the joys of me refusing to touch the garbage that is the bird site). BUT this is why point number one is to always link back to the original inspiration, because I believe that should always be the bare minimum.
THAT BEING SAID.
If you have a way of contacting the original fellow fandom person who inspired you? Reach out and ask them if they'd feel comfortable with you creating something! 999 times out of 1000, they're gonna be over the MOON you want to create something inspired by what they made, and they'll be really fucking pleased you reached out to check.
3. Ask yourself: is this a "two cakes" situation or am I putting my name on someone else's cake?
This is another one that can absolutely fall into a bit of a grey area. I have written many a fic that started out with me reading a take or a fic that went in a WILDLY different direction from what I was expecting or wanted, and I went "okay, fuck it. I'll write my own." And that's absolutely been a great motivator for me to start a project!
HOWEVER.
That is me creating a different flavor of cake, putting my own frosting on it, and probably adding something weird like lemon zest and instant coffee for a lemonade cappucino chiffon that shouldn't work (but definitely does, trust me)
If I were to have read a fic or a take and then gone, "Oh, yeah, definintely, here's the same idea but now I've rephrased it juuust a little and now it's under MY username on my blog".... that's slapping a different color of frosting on the same cake and claiming it's mine. If you find yourself doing that, I really invite you to pause and consider why you felt the need to do so instead of sharing the original post.
Like, not to bring Shakespeare into it (they say, poorly concealing their icon), but fandom can be exactly like how Juliet views love. Sharing joy in what others have created absolutely can be as "boundless as the sea [...] the more I give [...], the more I have, for both are infinite". It does not take away from the joy your fellow fandom friends will have in your own original work to share the work of others.
4. Hyping up your inspiration is FUN
Finally, this is more of me going "no really, proper credit isn't going to mean people love YOU less" because I truly believe in the power of how much FUN it really is to give credit where it's due. I was buzzing for WEEKS in anticipation of publishing Objection! and The 'I Duoy' Newlywed Special because the marvelous @jackuntiljune had brainstromed with me on the name for the boat my boys eloped on. And I get so fucking giddy when I see someone comment on those fics about the name of the boat because I get to take a giant breath and go "MY FRIEND JACK CAME UP WITH IT, AREN'T THEY AMAZING?!"
If you practice giving credit where it's due, I promise promise PROMISE it will become a joy. It's FUN getting to bring more people into the sandbox to play, and I know I love it when there's more than one person out there I can yell at (affectionate) when I've been emotionally destroyed (again, affectionate) by a gifset or art or fic <3
Thanks so much for reading this far! I can't wait to keep sharing inspiration with all of you out there

Determinism in TLT
The three people who actively follow my blog will know it, but for the others I'll say it: I don't judge TLT characters personally. (Except if I want to make a point or if I want to provoke a little.) That's not because I think their actions are not bad (they often are). But thing is, I think the characters are hardly made to be judged.
We can, for example, take Ianthe, my blorbo, my wife and my love. It was, all jokes aside, surely a horrible crime to kill her cav. Besides of that, it would maybe really have been better, if she hadn't saved Jod. (I mean, we didn't know it back then, but it seems obvious regarding NtN, even if it's understandable that she doesn't wanted her loved ones to die.) She has a lot of complicated character traits as well.
But if we look at where she is from, it's obvious that she had to be like that to survive. She is manipulative? So is her sister and probably her whole House. She is unnecessary eager to reach her goals (on cost of others)? Surprise, that's what her sister is like and her whole House too!
It's extremly obvious, that all characters are basically caricatures of how their Houses are. Palamedes, the scholar, the Warden... Dulcie, the beauty that blossoms and dies... Oh, even Silas. You would think it was extremly stupid of him to fight Ianthe, but actually, based of all what we know about him, I really think he had no other choice (technically, but not practically) as fighting her for his beliefs. It's so obvious, that even the characters themselves talk about it at a point:
That means: Ianthe is maybe a questionable person, but she wouldn't have been, if she had grown up on the Sixth. Palamedes is a (comperatively) sweet person, but he isn't like that because he naturally is like that, but because he's grown up on the Sixth.
[Let's make a sad little literary class trip:
Palamedes even says himself in TUG, that from (House specific) point of view, Ianthe is not wrong. It's a very interesting moment, because a character of the series admits, that (in TLT) moral is not static, but a question of the point of view. (What's made by the circumstances (in TLT).)
]
And that's what Determinism means. It's the idea, that people don't (only) do things, because of decisions, but because of their circumstances. The idea of Determinism is really important for leftist ideas because it enables ideas like: if you put a bunch of people with no money and boredom in a quarter, crimes will happen. (The idea shifts the attention from decisions to the circumstances.)
Even if the characters of the TLT universe are able to make decisions (maybe), I think it's pretty obvious how much the books are influenced by the idea of Determinism. And therefore, even if some of the characters awake the wish in me to... Oh! What did I want to say? Anyway, I think it's important to regard the context of the characters. It's possible to judge them, but it's also interesting to do it not and look at their reasons. (What doesn't apologize them, but makes them understandable)
This post is involuntary sponsored by this horrorshow interesting post of @swordrogue. I just couldn't get it out of my mind. Please go read it, it's very interesting
#tlt meta#tlt spoilers#palamedes sextus#ianthe tridentarius#harrow nonagesimus#god! I had almost forgotten how interesting TUG is#also it reads almost like a manifest for “recognize the Determinism of that series”#just read it again - half for this post. half because it was fun - and my friendos. I have to go offline for a few days because of Reallife#but I'll become insufferable about it when I come back. believe me

SUBMIT THROUGH THE FORM IN THIS POST, NOT MY ASKBOX, FOR YOUR BLORBO'S SAKE. I WILL LOSE SUBMISSIONS IF THEY AREN'T ALL IN ONE PLACE!
Hi! I've never run a poll blog before, but I like the "do you know this character" type blogs and I searched and didn't find one for ADHD characters so I decided I'd make one!
Submission Guidelines
Both canon and non-canon ADHD characters are allowed, but YOU MUST PROVIDE EVIDENCE FOR NON-CANON ADHD CHARACTERS! I completely understand just looking at a character and going "oh they have the Vibes" but it's not enough to be posted on this blog. Even just "they exhibit a lot of impulsiveness and distractability" is enough for me to go on - just give me SOMETHING to work with. However I reserve the right to not post a character if I don't think the evidence is compelling enough, i.e., if you don't list any traits that are specific to ADHD.
You may not submit real people, only fictional characters. I find it disrespectful and uncomfortable to speculate on the mental health of real people, and will not be posting those for my own comfort, even if those people will likely never see it. Also, the point of this is characters, not real people, so even people who have said they're ADHD won't be posted.
YOU MUST SUBMIT THROUGH THE FORM, NOT MY ASKBOX. I am, of course, ADHD myself, and I need all the submissions in one place or I'll lose them.
Got it? Here's the link to the form.
About the Mod/Blog
You can call me Mudkip if you'd like, or my name, Réka. She/her only please, do not use any other pronouns for me including they/them. I am an adult. I was diagnosed with ADHD at a very young age and have it bad enough that I consider myself disabled. So ADHD rep is very important to me! And I'd like to both learn about ADHD rep I might not have heard of, and spread awareness of what ADHD people are like through the characters that people might not even realize are like us.
My icon is the character 707/Seven from Mystic Messenger, I chose him because although it's a bit hidden he is canonically ADHD! There's a call where he talks about how he talks to himself, and if you say "I heard people with adhd talk to themselves a lot..." he agrees with you, as well as displaying other ADHD traits through the whole game.
...is this entire blog partially part of my agenda to spread the word of canon ADHD Seven? Maybe.
Header is Zack Fair from Final Fantasy VII; he's not canonically ADHD but there's strong evidence for it and I couldn't resist using the "Me? Gongaga." meme.
I often can't resist making non-poll posts on this blog, although I swear I try. If you're just here for the polls you might want to filter the tag "not a poll"!
My main is @hungarianmudkip69 .
Tagging System, for your searching or filtering convenience
#poll - the polls. this only includes "do you know this character" polls, not any other polls I might do.
#not a poll - anything that doesn't get the above tag. Including other types of polls. You know what I mean.
#canon adhd character - polls for characters that are canonically ADHD.
#noncanon adhd character - polls for characters that aren't canonically ADHD, but have solid evidence behind the headcanon.
#poll results - a reblog of an ended poll with calculations of how many people know the character and what percentage of those people know/see the character as ADHD.
#poll reblog - any reblog of a poll that isn't poll results.
#other polls - polls from other blogs.
#blog management - anything about the running of the blog.
#ask - asks. I don't know what else to tell you.
#approval inquiry - asks asking if a character has been approved for posting.
#submission inquiry - asks asking if a character has been submitted.
this was part of the original pinned and I always like seeing this part of poll blog pinneds so I'm leaving it
I'm supposed to tag other polls for visibility, right? This was largely inspired by @who-do-i-know-this-man and @doyouknowthisdisabledcharacter as well as @do-you-know-this-queer-character !

hey there! don't mind me dropping these for the stp ask game
3. (Explore) Who's your favorite Vessel?
5. (Explore) Who's your favorite Voice?
19. (Explore) Do you have any unpopular opinion regarding the game?
ooh hmm,,
3. personally I'd say my favorite is the Prisoner! I feel like I could relate to her on a personal level, she kind of feels like me personality-wise (though I have been described as the Damsel before). I also use chains as a metaphor like being chained down to life and other factors, not having the freedom to do what you wish to do (this also is where Cage is a close contender, where she is described like how I would think about dissociation, which I really liked). other than that, I think she's aesthetically pleasing to me? I like how chains looks, I don't know. I like the funny Narrator lines when he reacts to the fact she cut her own head off too
my other favorite, however, is the Nightmare mostly because she's the first Vessel I've seen when the full game released (thanks to someone's playthrough, I went ahead and got the game for myself, and then I got Spectre lol, I think she's silly :3). I also like her design with the cracks and the mask... she's really cool (probably my favorite design out of all of the Vessels)
in regards to the Pristine Cut,Happily Ever After would be my favorite. it's the one route the Narrator admits that some things are worse than what he had feared. it's very symbolic and I suppose that resonates with me having been stuck doing the same actions over and over again before, and with life in general. it's something that really makes me question "was I really happy with being stuck in that for so long before?" to which the answer is no, I wasn't truly happy for those long months of repeating things for someone else's sake. like how Happily Ever After was trying to follow Smitten's wants so he could be happy (I've always seen Smitten as a little manipulative in a sense, more subtle than the Narrator and Opportunist. I didn't expect to see that expanded upon in the Pristine Cut, and that's definitely a thought for me). with that personal experience I have with a similar relationship of sorts, Happily Ever After is one I can relate to in that aspect
5. do I need to pull up a powerpoint presentation on why I like them all? /silly, this is gonna be a bit difficult and I'll try not writing an entire essay on why I like the Voices :3
Broken gets his own spot since he's my blog name lmao (sopping wet cat /pos). before the Pristine Cut, I already liked him since he kind of symbolized depression in a sense and I could relate to some parts of him. after the Pristine Cut... I like him more, like how he shows his strengths in the Apotheosis and the Cage. he appears empathetic outside of his main route, like how he comforts the others in the Fury (even the Player and Narrator). he managed through the pain of the Fury taking us apart and putting us back together atom by atom (Cold also does that, but in a different manner). I'll hold Broken in my hands like a little blorbo, he deserves some love and care after everything
my main favorites has got to be Hunted and Cheated though, with Paranoid and Opportunist close behind (various roleplays had me realize I relate to some aspects of Opportunist and made him more likeable as I think more about his character in that way). Hunted is because he's always been a comfort to me, maybe with how quiet he is or how he is our survival instinct. He's someone you can trust, someone that can be relied on when there's danger all around (sort of a reason why I pair Paranoid and Hunted together but that's not part of the question). and even after what happened in Stubborn's version of the Den (she eats he eats she eats he eats...), I'll be Hunted's fan. he's like a silly cat rabbit creature,,
Cheated is my other favorite because he's really funny. he's a funny little guy that turned the Cage into a comedy when the other variations are much more serious. and I love cards, to be honest, even though I don't know a lot of games and I'm not great at them. I love the card symbolism in his dialogue, he's a little gamer guy and I love him for that. at the same time, he can be pretty relatable when life slaps random things in your face that's just like what the hell??
Paranoid is because (I find myself saying this a lot but) he's relatable in a sense. he also can be funny in his route with the Nightmare. I still need to think about his moments in the Apotheosis and Cage where he's going on about how it's a dream and how the world is fake (which he's pretty correct in that), that line in Apotheosis when he doubts himself hits hard in my opinion. Opportunist is also there because... well he's a little mischievous scheming guy, but I started thinking about it more as a defense mechanism to hide his vulnerability. in the Witch, he fully believes she would betray us and he is correct. although we backstabbed her first, in a way it also shows the lack of trust there was in the beginning. Opportunist, I feel, is like someone with heavy trust issues but goes along with the crowd in order to survive. he'll take advantage of others and try getting in the best position as that's essentially what other people in society seems to do. he'll suck up to the one who has power so he doesn't look bad to them, it's how he knows how to survive
this answer is getting longer than I expected, I'm so sorry 😭 Cold gets an honorable mention though because I relate to him to most in regards to being detached from myself mostly (I love reading the analysis people have for him, it's so interesting)
19. unpopular opinion uhh... you see, I don't exactly have an unpopular opinion because why would I? :3 (I'm not sure if this is considered unpopular but I don't think Opportunist is a complete asshole... even though he's very obviously a backstabber. also it could just be me, but I really don't like the Shifting Mound for some reason. or at least her in her final form. she's very calming before the end, but at the end she's just... I don't know, very overwhelming. I like her character and how she's written, but I just don't like her in general if that makes sense)

And so, this concludes the tournaments!
Welp, this is now the end of all three of the tournaments!
I want to thank you guys so much for participating in these polls! They were super fun to put together and I really enjoyed seeing everyone come together and support their respective blorbos in the notes and tags of the polls!
While it did get a little crazy towards the ending half of the third tournament, I still had a blast putting all of this together!
Soooo, what now?
Well, I'm not sure! Of course, I'll be keeping this blog up so anyone can come back and look at the past tournaments! How active will this blog be, though? I'm not too sure either! I'll keep the ask box open just in case anyone wants to say hi or maybe ask any questions about the three tournaments and I'll try to check in as often as I can!
However though, I can still be found on my main blog and I'm definitely a lot more active there, so anyone can check that out if you'd like! I mostly reblog about my favorite games and shows and I do post art as often as I can!
Will I ever come back to this blog and host a tournament again?
Honestly.....perhaps! Despite the third tournament being the last one, I still entertained the thought of doing another, since I admittedly still have just a couple favorite characters of mine that I hadn't included at all in the three tournaments, and because these were just so fun to put together! So maybe I might return to this blog again for perhaps an anniversary tournament someday.
For now though, I think I will take a good break for a couple months before so.
With that being said, thank you guys again for your participation in these tournaments! They were definitely really fun and an interesting experience! Have a good night you guys! :D
~ WK

It's Alright (Mother Mother)
I am touching, I am grabbing/Everything I can't be havin'/I am broken down in shame/It's alright, it's okay, it's alright, it's okay/You're not a demon, there's a reason/You're behaving that way
I don't wanna know who I am/Cause heaven only knows what I'll find/I don't wanna know I'm not capable/Of coming out alive/I don't wanna see what's inside/I think that I would rather be blind/I don't wanna know I'm not capable, I'm capable
"It tells me exactly what I need to hear and it fucks me up so much in a good way because I beat myself up too much."
"The song is pretty much catharsis, it is a call and response between someone mentally unwell in a destructive manner talking about the things they have done, and others reassuring them that their mistakes don't define them and they will be okay. By the end of the song, the one the song is about is saying they're okay and repeating the reassurances back. This song got me through a dark spot."
Poll Runner: When I was first drafting the very first post in this blog and wondering what songs people would submit, this was close to the top of my list. This song does nothing but fuck me up. It's my go-to song for mental breakdown post-care, perfect for your angsty blorbos, it just... it's a song that really means a lot to me.
Defying Gravity (Wicked)
So if you care to find me/Look to the western sky/As someone told me lately/"Everyone deserves the chance to fly!"
"An actual cultural reset. this song makes me want to follow my dreams regardless of what society may think of me and my green fucking skin"
Poll Runner: The ultimate act one closer, this song is just so full of defiance, as well as the emotion within the goodbyes they say to each other. Just a really good one.

not to be a sappy shit...but to be a sappy shit i just wanted to say i love y'all <3 i was expecting to like mota because my dear sweet blorbo austin was in it but i had no idea it would become what is has to me. that it would get me back into fic writing, get me back into a 'queer ship fandom' for the first time since i kinda fell out w/ that side of the law and order svu fandom years ago. and this *isn't* a slight to my main blog bc that blog is my baby/i love the community i built on there. but tumblr has been...a rough place for me at times bc of it and coming on here where none of those stressors can touch me is like...weirdly comforting?!?! i get so excited reading y'alls anons and reading the brilliance everyone who writes for the guys comes up with.
i'll stop yapping now but. love y'all. love our blorbos. amen.

A Pretty Long Rant on RPF shippers in the context of David Tennant and Michael Sheen
the entire georgia/anna discourse is so. bullshit. because those are actual, real people, with real lives and real relationships with those around them
Regarding dt and gt, just saying, no one has five children together as part of a pr stunt. Same with Michael and Anna.
And the fact that rpf people fail to realise this is concerning- taking the "my wife" jokes quite literally. News flash, it's a fucking joke. It's not something gt and al are making up to cover up for the fact that their respective partners fell in love with each other (yes, this is an actual take i've seen on this matter)
And idk if the rpf people are just dumb or are fully aware of what they're doing, despite the fact that they're completely tearing apart the lives of real people.
Another retort I've often seen is that fans have the right to criticize celebrities. Yes, yes they do. But breaking down a marriage spanning over a decade isn't criticism! You're creating fake problems out of thin air and for what? Genuinely, for what?
Rpf shippers just automatically assume the worst in both Georgia and Anna, and you know what? God forbid women do anything. Because that's exactly what this is.
They're completely vilifying gt and al because... they're in a relationship with their "blorbo actors?" They're acting like gt/dt and al/ms are fictional characters that you can play around with like dolls but you can't play around with real people's lives! Simply put, it isn't ethical.
I feel like the rpf people just fail to understand the meaning of “real”, because I don’t even know how one can feel so alright and happy by tearing apart the lives of real people. The fact that people are finding every possible way to find problems in their current relationships to suit their fantasies is so fucking disgusting.
Okay now if you're with me so far, I'm impressed. Stay with me because I'm not done yet.
Regarding Georgia, don't rpf blogs just love to criticize her and her parenting methods? That Georgia's just lazy and only wants to drink wine, but omfg. wtf. She has fucking 5 children. I don't care what you think, managing those many kids is NOT an easy task. But also... posts I've seen on this matter never seem to bring up David? Why? Isn't he a parent? Shouldn't he also have a role in parenting? Whatever Georgia does surely won't be against what David believes, right? Wake up, rpf shippers, wake the fuck up.
David almost definitely does have a role in the parenting (anyone willing to fight me on this, come off, I'll give you the reasons) but since he’s all over London at the moment, he probably doesn’t have much time. Which means that gt has to manage 4-5 kids all by herself. So she does actually deserve a break, more than anyone else. But she doesn’t because wahoo god forbid women do anything.
And putting all that aside, what the hell gives rpf people the right to hate on her as if they know her irl. Their default behavioral status is set to mean and bitchy and that’s just. concerning. rpf people need to understand the difference between real life and fiction istfg.
Okay, i swear I'm nearing the end of this rant, please don't go yet.
Sometimes fans do have the right to speak up against an UNHEALTHY relationship. There are multiple examples all over the place where one person has expressed dissatisfaction but no one took them seriously. Except… neither gt/dt nor ms/al have expressed dissatisfaction. At all. It’s actually the exact opposite where they keep fawning for each other. There’s 0 suggestions of any of them being unhappy in their respective relationships apparent from yall overanalyzing their body language to the point where it becomes false.
Do Georgia and Anna ship themselves with each other and ship David with Michael? Yes. But that's a fucking joke. Learn to take a joke, yalls, it will get you a long way. And even if they are the ones doing the shipping, so what? That doesn’t give you the right to. It’s their lives. You’re just a person viewing their lives from a small peep hole known as Instagram.

Another day, another moment I'm wanting to send rambles about my very controversial ships but knowing if you respond and don't tell me to self perish you may get canceled, my blorbos my sweet sweet blorbos so desperately want to see the light of day in this blog. Small boy and large mannnnnn will never see the light of day!! /hj+silly
...Dude, I quite literally could care less about "getting cancelled", I have the magical power of a block button, and I would never tell anyone to off themselves over fictional ships. That's disgusting and inhuman behavior. Go ahead and send me whatever confessions you want, I tag everything accordingly, and if I don't have anything to say, I'll just do what I always do, and throw down a:
#🔧'Do you need something?' (Asks Tag - Non Confession)#tsbs confessionverse#🔧'I do everything in my power to make this a safe place for everyone- and that includes you Anon.'
