* GENERAL OBSERVATIONS, PART THREE.

ASTEROIDS & CELESTIAL BODIES

ASTEROID ORPHEUS (3361) CONJUNCT CHIRON may represent one who looks to their past for creative inspiration. They’ll often use their preferred form of art in an attempt to understand traumatizing events or process any emotions that may still linger.

ASTEROID APOLLO (1862) in the 8H could signify an individual who enjoys creating or consuming media about controversial and dark topics.

When I see ASTEROID PANDORA (55) in the 10H, I immediately wonder whether the individual with this placement has experienced some sort of chaos or crises regarding their public image. Maybe they’ve had traumatic experiences with their main circle of friends, or maybe they’ve even received some level of backlash on social media for a flawed interaction. Whatever these natives have endured, they probably yearn to control public perception of their character in an attempt to prevent misunderstandings.

Check which house ASTEROID ARISTOTELES (6123) is located in within your natal chart to find where you crave the most knowledge and wisdom! As an example, I have my Aristoteles asteroid in the 8H of transformative experiences, death, and “taboo” topics — and I’m now a practicing divination witch who enjoys paranormal investigation.

SUN SQUARE URANUS indicates memorable students whose teachers / professors will remember them for many years to come.

Hard MERCURY-PLUTO aspects could struggle with maintaining a consistent routine for studying, especially if Mercury is in retrograde in the chart.

MERCURY TRINE JUPITER placements LOVE yapping in class, but it’ll either be with their peers while the teacher is talking or by frequent class participation. If you’re the class participation type, you’ve probably had a teacher say “does anyone OTHER than (your name) know the answer?” before 😭

Although this placement does make for great activists who are not afraid to call out injustice when they see it, LILITH CONJUNCT MERCURY folks NEED to prioritize being tactful due to a natural tendency to bluntly say whatever’s on their mind with no filter.

Olympics AU Info dump!

First, I am blown away by how much love the series is getting, thank you all so much! I do really enjoy all the comments and reactions in the tags. Know that they all delight me and the only reason I don’t reply to everything is because there are so many! But I read them all 💕

General questions:

Can you draw the designs or concepts? Write fanfic in this AU?

Do they all know each other?

At first, I would say no- with the exception of Nico and Will (they’re developing a whole backstory in my head that I cannot and will not stop.). But they all meet in the Olympic Village after the opening ceremonies and quickly become friends. They all try their best to attend each other’s events. (Someone please tell me how Percabeth becomes a thing. Please. 🙏 )

Why didn’t Percy win gold?

Percy was an Olympic medalist in swimming before moving to diving. After competing in several swimming events and feeling like they were all just small variations of the same thing, he wanted more of a challenge. He chose diving to stay rooted in to the water, but to add a new dimension to his bodily awareness and control.

What’s Annabeth and Luke’s rivalry?

They most definitely trained together, and it was Luke’s skill that motivated Annabeth to aim for the Olympics. But, she wanted to compete for her home country, Greece, which Luke thought was just a shortcut since there was a clearer path to an Olympic team in a smaller country. Annabeth is constantly trying to prove to him that she would have made it to the top of the sport either way.

Also, apologies to the IRL fencers out there for the inconsistency. I know fencing is a gendered sport, and Annabeth’s gear/style are inconsistent, please forgive the oversight ☺️🫶

Volleyball?

The whole Hunters of Artemis are a volleyball team (that apparently has no country 😅). Thalia ends up the captain. When Reyna moves on from tennis they welcome her with open arms.

Rejected sports

Will as a runner. Canonically, he’s super fast, but just having him as a sprinter didn’t fit with his personality.

Will as a pole vaulter. Specifically the guy that lost because he was ‘blessed a little too much’ and knocked down the bar. I will not explain further.

Will as a gymnast. He was this || close to being a gymnast essentially modeled after Steven Nedoroscik, I had the sketch and everything. (I shared it here!) But when an anyonomous ask clued me into the sick medical team uniforms it all fell into place from there. (Thank you no-longer-anon @helyeahmangocheese !)

Percy in anything equestrian related. I see him not having the patience for all the formality of it all, but he definitely crashes Hazel’s shows and chats up all the competition (the horses.)

Annabeth on a sailing team. Also, related to that, Reyna on a sailing team. It was a fun idea, especially for Reyna and her history with pirates but ultimately it was really hard to capture in a few illustrations.

Nico in several winter sports. For consistency mostly. He could fit for a lot of winter sports - ice skating and snowboarding are my personal favorites.

Leo as a shooter. He would most definitely build his own gear and make tweaks to his weapon. Which would get him immediately disqualified.

Jason in discus. Jason as a basketball player. Golf is just… fitting. 😂

analysing the martials arts of Jujutsu Kaisen - Karate

watching him fight makes my mouth water. every move is so perfect, so textbook, so nerdy almost. he STUDIED pure Shotokan karate. when he punches its the right target from the right distance at the right power at the right speed i wanna melt. the ease with which he shifts from blocking to grappling to close handed strikes. the scene of his beating up the old man in hidden inventory is pure orgasmic karate perfection.

he's super confident when he fights. he puts power in his punches (just the prescribed textbook amount). princess doesn't even tie his magnificent hair up (???).

he's very consistently aggressive. unlike karate, he has the boxing spirit where there's no gap between attacks, no hit-and-run. his attacks end when the opponent does.

god his stances, im drowning its so perfect. when panda is tossing his around in jjk 0 he's alwasy landing in the correct kumite postion, feet parallel and shoulder distance apart, knees only slightly bent.

usage of weaponry is uncommon in karate, but he's adept at it. the Playful Cloud, sanjigun (three sectioned staff) is an insane weapon tbh. if u look at it as a more complex nanchaku (which was my first reaction and mostly how todo uses it) its not that useful, as explained very well here. geto uses it more like a super flexible staff, which is really innovative and gets better use out of it as both a defensive and offensive weapon. but the one person who defo uses Playful Cloud best is Toji.

if i have to summarize, i'd say he fights cleanly. he knows he has both the height and weight advantage on yuta and uses both as full body strikes from "above". plus he's surprisingly flexible even in those flowy ass robes. he knows what works for him, he's done it for a longgg time (those reflexes take years to come) and he does it well. he keeps it short-range. he's a monster in combat.

surprisingly he's not particularly using any grappling techniques, even though he that would give him an easy edge over yuta. maybe yuta's hard to grapple, maybe gege akutami didn't think of it.

if i had to point out any flaws, i'd say he doesn't bend his lower back and hips enough to break falls. its a very minor complaint tho, he's delicious as a martial artist. a big issue is that he clearly doesn't lose much and hence doesn't know when to stop and change strategies. like, his fighting is on reflex, not because he's thinking thru each of his moves. but ig that's more of a personality flaw than a combat issue.

Noritoshi Kamo

it's very funny, he uses an old-fashioned traditional style in a very spunky rebellious way. definitely karate based on the prominence of upper body strikes over kicks, the open handed strikes and punches and that definitive teisho-uchi (palm heel strike). Even though Shotokan karate is more popular, he's practising the Shitorio style. we can tell cuz his stances are more upright, the way he prefers to hit fewer strikes with more powers than bombard his opponent with many strikes of lesser power, and his constantly-changing-his-base-position footwork.

when striking, he uses exclusively 'hard' techniques, as in he's sparring earthbender style, not airbender style. he's going for full frontal attacks and he's putting a shit ton of power behind them, which means he either doesn't expect to get blocked or he's not expecting the opponent's block to be very effective. (if u hit proper fucking hard with no gloves and get blocked hard ur hands will hurt like hell and uv wasted all the power and movement).

however, in general he does use a lot of "soft techniques" otherwise, grabbing megumi's tonfas away mid fight. he also just dodges attacks, only using blocks to create an opening for him to attack. irl, most combat happens in very short range so blocking is easier to dodging. but kamo fights mostly long distance, very typical karate hit-and-run type technique, where u do a few attacks and immeditealy create distance. a good technique considering his tall height. this is also why i think its Shitorio karate instead of kyokushin (which is tougher and keep-hitting-them style and lots of shin kicks).

there's no flashy moves like toji or even geto or yuji. kamo uses the most basic and actually practical moves. even though his strength is a given with Flowing Red Scale enhancing him, by the way he shifts his weight, you can tell that he knows how to turn his speed into momentum to create a shit ton of force. I wouldn't like to get punched by him.

as i mentioned, he's using orthodox styles in his own way. his stances aren't textbook correct, like geto, he's just doing what feels stable to him at the moment. he twists his palm heel strike unlike the common finger-up version. he doesn't move his eye before his head, he turns his whole damn head fully. he's sort of going with the flow, a bit too loosely for a traditionalist.

what confuses me is that he's not using himself to the fullest. at 5'10, he's taller than most people, so why not 1. attack from "above" such as overhead and on-shoulder strikes and 2. fucking use your damn kicks man. specially 'kick down'- the kicks that start above the opponents head and end up pushing them to the ground.

in the anime fight, he's deliberately trying his best to not hurt megumi. the entire fight is really short, but he's doing his best to just disarm and not to injure even a little. he's taller and megumi's head is wide open. the heavy tonfas by his side that makes it harder for megumi to block his face than torso... kamo literally punch his face. im dying here tbh. kamo punch his head. even if he blocks his face ull get a second where his eyesight is completely blocked and that's all u need to hit him in the kidneys or spleen. bam fight over. but noooo he's hitting him in the middle of the chest (twice! vary ur target positions to keep the element of surprise!) like what r u doing my man. it's like he want his attacks to be blocked. he fights like he's only 80% committed to it. i'd call him confused but very very talented.

Can you please tell me what abilities sun wukong have because am always confused about it i even hear some people says that sun wukong is omniscient and omnipresent and can control time or that he is is a boundless character

At no point in JTTW is Monkey ever depicted as a boundless character with omniscience, omnipresence, and control over time. Anyone claiming that has never read the novel. Never ever trust any online claims about Sun Wukong unless a cited quote is provided.

Having said that, I am slowly compiling a comprehensive list of all of Monkey's magical abilities and skills, complete with corresponding Chinese terms and citations. However, I am nowhere close to being done (and won't be for years), so I can only give you a general list at this time. But I will link to my past articles where applicable.

The following is based on a list I wrote a few months ago for someone looking to make their D&D campaign more authentic.

Immortality - He has six layers of immortality. But these are more like layers of invulnerability. As a "bogus immortal" (yaoxian, 妖仙) he is still susceptible to injury and death because he hasn’t yet achieved Buddha-nature and broken free of the wheel of rebirth (see note #1 here for an explanation).

Invulnerability - He has an adamantine hide that can't be pierced or hurt by earthly or heavenly weapons and elements (this doesn't count the times that he allows himself to be cut). This is thanks to all of the immortal foodstuff he had eaten in heaven being refined within his body by his samadhi fire, giving him a "diamond body" (jingang zhi qu, 金鋼之軀). Sometimes he uses this invulnerability to freak out demons by blocking a sword strike with his bald head. However, he can still be hurt. For example, he is twice wounded by special elements born from spiritual cultivation, samadhi fire and wind (the book treats cultivated and heavenly elements as two different things). Also, one villain, a scorpion demoness energized with Buddhist dharma power, is able to successfully penetrate his skin by stinging him in the face with her tail.

72 changes - He can transform into anything. The only flaw is his tail, which doesn't always change the way he wants it to. Or, a character recognizes him because of his red butt.

Cloud somersault - This allows him to fly 108,000 li (33,554 mi / 54,000 km) in a single leap. The skill is actually a metaphor for instantaneous enlightenment, for those who achieve it will immediately arrive in the Buddha's paradise.

Magic hairs - He can change any one of his 84,000 hairs into anything he wants (tools, random objects, living creatures, etc.) These include hair clones, which are autonomous copies of himself that can range into the tens, hundreds, thousands, millions, or even billions. However, he only deploys these on a small scale in the novel. He never uses the power to its full stated extent.

Super strength - His greatest feat is carrying two mountains while running "with the speed of a meteor." But there are characters physically stronger than him. For instance, Monkey cannot escape the grip of the Great Peng bird once he is caught in his powerful talons.

Martial arts - He is proficient in armed and unarmed combat, being able to go toe-to-toe with deities with centuries more combat experience than him. "Short Fist," a historical style, is listed as his preferred boxing method. But he mainly relies on his magic iron staff for fighting.

General magic - Monkey is shown capable of calling forth gods and spirits, growing or shrinking to any size, parting fire and water, creating impassable barriers, conjuring wind storms, casting illusions, freezing people in place, putting anyone to sleep, unlocking any lock, bestowing superhuman strength, bringing the dead back to life, turning invisible, changing someone's appearance, traveling to and from heaven and hell, etc.

Magic Eyes - He can see through illusions. But this isn't always portrayed consistently, for I know of several times where Guanyin fools him, and even a god of the soil, a lesser deity, is once able to do the same thing.

Medicine - He can diagnose maladies and concoct medicines to solve the issue.

You can see that omniscience, omnipresence, and control over time are not listed. I think the problem is that people are confusing Sun Wukong at two different points in his character arc. The powers listed above come from the journey itself (ch. 13 to 100). The omni-level powers would come after he achieves Buddhahood at the end of the novel (ch. 100). However, it's very, very important to know that the story ends before Sun Wukong, now the "Victorious Fighting Buddha," performs any feats (i.e. he has no feats as a Buddha). I'm sure people could assign him powers ascribed to other Buddhas in religious literature, but what happens after the story ends is beyond canon.

In the spirit of the Olympics: ASOIAF characters and their Olympic sports

Jamie Cersei obviously a tennis doubles team thanks @melrosing for ur big brained art. Tywin is their coach and has been abusing training them since they were like seven. Consistent natty champs but haven’t scored a Wimbledon title yet and have yet to get gold at the Olympics (they have one bronze one silver). Mostly because Cersei breaks her racket every time things start going wrong. Also because Jamie is so full to the brim with shame and need for daddy’s recognition that he starts breaking down almost immediately once the point gap starts to widen

Brienne is a long distance swimmer she’s the Katie Ledecky of Westeros no one can touch her do you see her wingspan??? Usually finishes 5-15 seconds before everyone else sometimes other ppl aren’t even in the frame. Has multiple gold medals at this point and has been to the Olympics twice before she even turned 20. Lesbians go crazy over her online

Arya does some type of shooting and she’s like those tiny little teenagers that show up and blow all of their grownup competition out of the water. Steady hand and crazy aim. OR she does fencing and has a super unique style that gets the internet really into it for a couple of weeks. OR judo in the lightweight class. She’s so talented 🙂‍↕️ she’s definitely medaled at her first games when she’s like 14

Sansa is very obviously a figure skater like!!!! Of course she is!!! She is obsessed with her lines and artistry and takes ballet classes in order to improve her fluidity. She’s a young star in women’s singles, mostly for how graceful and fluid she is when she moves, and for her very gentle/pretty/romantic choice of costumes, music, and choreography. But she really wants to do pair skating mostly because she wants to have a romantic story to tell at their wedding (yes Joffrey is the potential partner)

Dany plays field hockey and she is sooooo cute and fun and peppy off the field and is so charming during all the interviews and always gives the girls a great inspirational speech and is just a very good leaderly figure in general. And then the game starts and you see a 5’2 platinum blonde sprinting towards u with blood and malice in her eyes and a big stick in her hands. She wants gold and by god does she get gold. Occasionally body checks ppl but she’s just too small for rugby.

Robb is a young rugby star he’s so handsome and muscular and all of his interviews go viral everyone’s obsessed with his training videos that the team TikTok posts. Soooo good too he’s on the Olympic team at 18 and he’s just sprinting down that field and dominating the game. But he’s so oblivious to it all the love when ppl ask if he’s dating anyone he’s like why would I do that I have to bulk up and focus on my game 🤨 and then runs off to meal prep with Theon (who does not meal prep but is obsessed with him)

Jon is an ice hockey guy to me. So dark and brooding while he’s sitting on the bench and he’s all locked in when it’s time to start playing he’s just so serious ab it he lives for The Game. But every time his buddies score a goal he goes absolutely batshit crazy and just loses all composure. And when they win he starts ugly sobbing. There’s a viral photo of him after winning his first gold just standing on the podium with snot and tears running down his face while the rest of the team is like 😁😁😆😄 him and Robb train together but Jon has absolutely no media training every interview is a disaster

Seeing those designs of the next avatar and her friend as adorable and promising as they are, why do they look like they belong in Voltron TvT?

Spoilers for the leaked potential designs under the cut!

Okay, so I think the characters in of themselves look fine, pretty cute. Though the artstyle is a clear variation from the the artstyles of the previous shows, which, while there were some miniscule changes, stayed relatively consistent.

For example the top lashes are much mor prominent and I think there's a general change in the facial proportions as a whole.

The main thing that upsets me about the leaked designs is the clothing choices for the characters, as I said in my previous post. The Avatarverse has a history of taking inspiration from real world outfits of various cultures, such as Southern Water Tribe parkas, or from other pieces of time appropriate media, such as Bolin's jacket in B4 being inspired by a WW2 comic book character, the Rocketeer.

These two, Jae (right) and our new Avatar, (Pavi) look, well a bit generic sci fi. At first I couldn't place my finger on what threw me off their designs, but I'll do my best to explain.

I tried to make a lil vision board to help me illustrate my points. Below you have the potential designs, with their colour palettes beside them, along with tve more vibrant colours I'd bicked from Tenzin and Aang's reference or promotional art. Bottom left is a sheet of Earth Kingdom background characters, and to the right of that you have designs for more prominent characters of a similar origin. I've also added desings for the air nomad bodysuits and pro bending uniforms which i believe are the closest to the proposed new clothing style.

As you can see the clothes Jae and Pavi are weaeing have more colours overall, but these colour palettes are more muted, which is a cheap trick to make clashing colours fit together more harmoniously. You can see this in a lot of modern futuristic shows, like Voltron, which I mentioned earlier.

It's usually a technique of having a character's palette consisting of more muted tones while having one or two colours that are more vibrant. This is a bit of a step away from Avatar's designs, which had less colour combinations as a whole, but were much more vibrant, with exceptions.

Avatar would usually pick a colour palette based around one colour, usually the one corresponding to their element, and work around it to pick colours that wouldn't clash, but were still eye catching enough.

Even more muted designs had a wealth of detailing and patterning. Which brings me to my next point. Pointless design choices. Let's compare Jae and Asami's designs, which both have some similarities.

They both have a type of shirt, boots and baggier trousers. But for Asamu, the details on her outfit make more sense. She has the logo of her company, a pattern on her chest, clasps to keep her jacket closed, pockets, and a bunch of straps that wind around her boots to either keep the black leg warmers in place, or secure her shoes.

Jae has that more 'futuristic' detailing that boils down to slapping multicoloured bumps onto a character. What are those grey things on his trousers? Pockets maybe, though they don't LOOK like pockets. What is that orange thing on his boot? It's not a locking mechanism like a buckle or button since it doesn't seem connected to anything. Is the orange thing on his belt supposed to be a buckle? Why is there a weird orange thing on his neckline? Im assuming the logo on his chest and shoulderpads is supposed to signify him as an airbender as it looks a bit like an airbender arrow which I don't know how to feel about.

Jae and Pavi's designs notably lack details of buttons, clasps and their clothes just feel like they don't fully make sense along witg being generic. Pavi has a brooch holding her customary spocalyptic wanderer cloak closed, though it is drawn in a way that we don't see where the cloak ends. The brooch may carry some significance, and it may juat be less detailed because its not focused on, but it does also just look. Generic.

There's also the lack of Avatar's staple inspiration from actual cultures, particularly chinese in these outfits. Jae's outfit only keeps the baggy pants and his weird neckbrace thing sorta slides off to the right, which doesn't really make sense. Pavi's clothing is the lesser offender here, but I really can't say I would pinpoint ger as an Avatar character if you didn't tell me she was one.

And I'm far from a cultural expert, so I really could just be talking out of my ass but none of these outfits carry the hallmarks of what I expected from avatar characters.

It's a shaame really because seeing what seems to be the concept art you can find here, I like these designs a lot more

Pavi's clothinv is much more vibrant, her clothing seems more detailed and Jae has a white lotus outfit that makes much more sense. And I like that he has an arrow again. I genuinely hope this ia the version we get, though this looks more like concept art, while the designs I was talking about looked like finished character sheets.

If you like these, designs, more power to ya. I think Pavi is adorable and sweet and she deserves better clothes lol. I hope Jae's outfit is just a uniform he takes off at the beginning of the show or smth. Because it ugly.

Y'all bear with me on my bad phone pictures and excessive notes lmao, but, uh, ask and you shall receive.

Here's my concept art for Jason in my fic Imprint, where he's a halfa and Danny's biological dad and the king father/king regent? of the infinite realms.

Here's the first ever sketch I did somewhere around chapter 2 or 3:

Featuring larval Ghost!Jason, Pit madness/Lazarus Water and little bitty Ghost!Danny.

I was already thinking about the possibility of a crown but didn't know what to do with it yet so I just left a halo as a placeholder DBZ-style, which you'll see in the next few concept stages until I finish the latest one.

Ah, the oldest concept I had for the Pit is that it laid dormant in Jason's mind and would physically pull itself out of his head, which is why it's kind of half melded with Jason's helmet in this one. And I'm still kind of considering that idea, but I'm leaning more towards it coming from the bulk of Jason's body instead, as we see it in chapter 8 of Imprint when readers get to see Jason's ghost nonsense from an outside perspective. They (the Pit) is definitely more tiger-like now, and you'll catch a glimpse of a sketch dump where I'm trying to get a handle on tiger shape language (?). They'll still be water based and colored like the pits/a lagoon. It may be hard to picture- just trust me.

Uhhh let's see....the "lantern ribcage" is a part of the design that's really important to me so you'll see me consistently playing with it as I go through these early concepts. That's his core nestled in the lower part of his ribs, visible but protected behind the iron cage of his bones.

I wanted to incorporate Jason's helmet and other parts of his vigilante/hero uniforms in his ghost form since that part of his life is deeply personal to him.

I also knew that I wanted him to have a very monstrous aspect to his design- and I can't resist slapping pointy teeth on any of my concepts that deviate from being strictly human. So those aren't going away. Nostrils to breathe smoke and fire so Jason can better emote with most of his face being metal.

Danny's default ghost form, opposed to Jason's will still kinda be the one he has in his original dimension- black and white suit and the classic DP symbol on the chest, but probably better armored and with a bat emblem thrown in somewhere. So thats what I drew him with here- though little kid sized, with an added black streak in his hair to complete the inverse of the Lazarus Pit streak he has in human form.

In ghost form, when Jason needs precision, his go-to weapon will be the All Blades, which I have kinda illustrated here.

I may kinda set the bones of this design aside to use as a more humanoid ghost form that's closer to his living form, but that's still up in the air.

Here's concept 2, which I did on chapter...5? I think? Which is when I decided I wanted to make Jason's most comfortable ghost form to be kinda big and outrageous:

This one's got some notes doodled around it- but I'll type them out in case you can't read my handwriting.

Jason was definitely leaning more toward dragon (and I'm still trying to find the balance between dragon and phoenix that works nicely for him, but we're getting there.)

I decided not to put heat pits on his face recently so that the parts of his head modeled after the helmet are smooth metal armor. I tried to elongate the head but still keep the lines of his helmet in the design.

This is also the first time I started messing with horns- which have been bent in just about every direction at this point trying to make them mesh well with the rest of his design. The uppermost notes in the image mention basing the shape of his horns off of one of his weapons. I thought that the flaming all blades would just be overkill at that point and decided to play with using the Kris knife he gets from the League. Which is....still overkill but it's less fire to draw, so we'll call it a even. There is also a note on my decision to make his horns into a pair only because of being Bruce's second son and the second Robin. (I have put way too much fucking thought into this if you haven't figured that out already).

Tried a different look for the teeth and ended up scrapping it.

I also started leaning more into making his back look as messed up as possible at this point and started thinking of the....mountain range in plated rows like a croc's back.

And here's concept 3, which also starts playing with colors and the all-tail, no-legs look that I decided to stick with:

This is definitely the biggest jump between concepts so far and was sketched up while writing chapter 7, which I think is the first time we get to experience his ghost forms (there's 2 that we saw in that chapter).

So I continued to smooth and lengthen the head and tried a different thing with the teeth- which I kept. I also felt a lot better about the lines from the helmet with this concept. I tried curling his kris knife horns forward, trying to play with their form. Those have changed since.

This is the first time I added hair, but it's hard to see. He, like Danny, has an inversed streak of black at the front of his 'do to reflect the Lazarus stripe.

Again with the halo placeholder because I was still on the fence about the crown. Started trying to make the mountains of his spine more volcanic looking. Don't know if I'm keeping that or not yet.

So the three major differences between this and it's predecessors is the 1) mantle of smoke that is constantly being expelled from his body that is supposed to imitate a kinds cloak/mantle; 2) the tail, which has since been changed into a fiery tail instead of a ghostly one; and 3) I slapped his Robin 'R' from the movie UTRH on him to make this form more...him, I guess, and also to make Bruce cry like a baby.

So the things that I have changed is the ribcage, the shape of the horns, the crown (which finally has a rough design and a name based on the fight he has to win to earn it- yes, I already have that arc scribbled out and will most likely be adding it into the story) and I added some extra stuff to the face to match the written descriptions in Imprint.

SO. -Claps hands together- I'd love to hear your thoughts on everything, and I am always interested in hearing how y'all have interpreted these characters for yourselves.

If this is something you want me to do again with other character designs, let me know and I will. I am working on Jason, of course, and the Pit, Frankie boy, Danny's big long boi form, Gotham and some other odds and ends.

You're working through the main missions now, but do you have any favorite side missions at the moment? Thoughts on the tarot card graffiti?

He never picks up, but I still call him from time to time. Hoping for an update on Mr.stud's implant, maybe a review?

I only finished Watson's side missions so far. Picking a quest randomly while travelling through the city, mostly when I'm fresh out of eddies having blown it all on clothes stores.

Tier 5 drops seem to be common, so I guess I'm at that level. This is my current build and the weapons I use.

I'm kinda lost at the moment, so I'd greatly appreciate any advice! I'm trying to achieve a stealth takedown/ long-range sniper build. I don't like smart weapons either. The second I finish Skippy's quest, I'll get rid of the implant... maybe. The tattoo is cool, ngl.

Most thing I'm confused about, where do I invest my points into? Do I keep going with the Cool/Reflex/Tech combo until they're all 20? What's with the locked sixth category at the bottom? Do I save points for it just incase?

I still haven't used the reset points ability, apparently it's a one-time thing.

Is there a way to change the appearance of weapons? Like their colours? I found a cool pink/gold Grad sniper! From an enemy.

but then I crafted a higher rarity one, and it physically pained me to do the switch to an all black sniper.

Also, I got the memory wipe quickhack, and it's been a godsend in taking down those cyberpschyos non-lethaly. Just wipe their memory, crouch behind them, and press X. Regina seems delighted. I wonder if it makes a difference if you kill them or not? Idk, but Regina's praise is enough, honestly.

I love the tarot cards! The art style, I mean.

A lot of times, I just stand in front of them and attempt to guess which card it is before I scan it.

So far, I've colexted 11 cards and guessed 0 right out of those.

It's impressive at this point how consistently inaccurate my guesses are, probably because I keep yelling, "THAT'S DEATH RIGHT! IT'S GOTTA BE" at every card I see, seeing how it's the only card I remember the name of. But hey, eventually, it gotta be death, right?

Does something happen when you collect them all? I thought they were just a nice little extra egg hunt mini game. Imma focus on finishing the collection today and see for myself.

I finished the Evelyn Parker mission, the one after finding Dr.fingers. It was... hard to go through. I kept pausing many times, considered dropping the mission a lot. The things you see, a lot of them are genuine fears of mine, some things I even relate to. It was terrifying. The complete loss of autonomy, the naked corpses laying around, the furnace they used to dispose of them as if they were bags of trash. The indignity of it all. The writing's on the wall inside the cell with the handcuffs, "I'm not me not me not me not me not me"

I don't want to get into it, so I won't. I'm glad this game had this section, and how they didn't tiptoe around the subject but completely showed it to you bare.

It also really changed my perspective on Johnny. How little empathy and regard he seemed to have about the whole place, the victims, even Evelyn herself. Calling her a dumb whore, saying he would've just splashed water on her face then and there, forced her to answer his questions. Saying "or she might be a good actor" as if she was faking the traumatised state she's in

Is Johnny a bad person?

It depends. Do the ends justify the means?

As a regular person to deal with, a friend, a partner, a brother, he has a certain charm to him. Rough and sarcastic, witty with his insults, but cool nonetheless. He has the air of a cooler older figure who doesn't give a shit about all the posers, who smokes, rides bikes, weilds a katana, and just be badass in general. So when you're in a car with a guy like him, you can't help but go along when he says, "Ready to roll, or what?" You want to go along with his flow, it's infectious. The way he gives advice is too convincing, even if you hate him, you find yourself agreeing because he seems to have his shit figured out.

As a human? He's self-centered and has very little care for other human's lives or well-being. True/chaotic neutral? He won't go out of his way to harm someone for some sick kick, but he won't help someone just because either. He's sceptical and doubtful of people. He has no courtesy, no grace, no politeness. All social rules are set ablaze. He will insult even his dearest friends if they get on his nerve. He is not above harming others to achieve his goals. He has no care for casualties or consequences.

As an activist, he's not afraid to stand up and yell the crude truth eveyone else is too afraid to say. He's the one with a lifted fist when others have their heads buried in the ground, he tried to shake the world awake, truly tried. Not for a legacy, not for fame. He saw the corruption and tried to cut it from the root, he's the king at the frontline of the march into battle, ready to sacrifice his life for the cause. He wanted to eradicate evil, merciless, steered by his convection, immune to bribery and seduction. He's the perfect leader you want for a cause, the one who actually gets shit done and won't settle for less than complete overthrow of the rotten system.

Johnny would've prefered blowing up the whole Deathhead operation base, rather than sneak in, without a care to the possibilities of still-alive victims being in the building. The only reason he didn't encourage you to, was because he wanted the information Evelyn had. He didn't give a fuck about her safety, only wanted to use her to advance his plot.

So, do the ends justify the means? If a bad guy is using an innocent bystander as a human shield, would you still shoot?

What Johnny wants to achieve is noble. How he's achieving it is the farthest thing from the word.

It's not a situation of circumstances, either. A lot of times, he has many other choices, but he still walks this road specifically. No one is forcing his hand. This is how he operates willingly, enthusiastically, even. He mocks V when you pick the softer options.

Also talking about how complex of an antagonist Johnny is, look at those cool pictures I took!

Cool = symbolism

You know how if you zoom in with the camera at Johnny, he glitches out into blue because he's a hallucination?

I position V on the ground, with him above on purpose to showcase the power imbalance. With V sitting between his feet, the more control they've giving up to him—or more accurately, with Johnny sitting on their mind, as in their brain.

So it paints him as this powerful being pulling V by the strings along, like a puppet with its master. The corpse he's piloting.

But then you zoom in and

He begins to disappear, once you take a closer look.

He fizzles out like a mirage, there was no puppeteer.

And all that's left is just V.

What was that saying again? the most powerful prisons are those in your mind.

I updated my character ref sheet to include more Order Agents, unaffiliated, and Barraki.

A massive ref sheet for me to use when making my comics, so I don’t have to keep Googling the characters or looking at my sets to get colours right. This will also help me keep my art style consistent, since it’s a guide in my style.

Notes:

The Turaga Metru have been restored Toa status. “Turaga” is now just a title for the leader of the Toa of that element.

Tahu died immediately in my headcanon (which starts right after they leave the Mata Nui). He was replaced as a Toa Nuva of Fire by Malum, who is now also dead.

Lewa has no sensation in his right leg (after his leg was damaged by Thok accidentally crushing it with a tree during a spar), so he had to lean on a pillar to pose for the picture.

Nokama joined the Order of Mata Nui, hence why she is no longer wearing Metru armour. She lost a leg in the battle of the Bahrag palace. Hahli has replaced her as the Turaga of Water.

Kopaka’s eye was poked out accidentally by the Spirit of Ice, Kovohki.

Hakann’s eyes were ripped out by the Dark Hunters.

Vezok’s spine was ripped by the Dark Hunters, and he wears a brace to keep it together.

Mihir is Avak’s (assigned) mate, and Reidak’s actual mate. Veynak is Avak’s actual mate. As the Dark Hunters castrated the Piraka, neither coupling has children.

Nuhrii and Vhisola were accidentally switched when converted organic. Nuhrii believes he was always a male Ga-Matoran and has Vhisola’s memories, but lacks her natural skills, and vice-versa. This has been very confusing for their friends, but the two are incapable of understanding that they haven’t always been the element they currently are.

The Toa Totya were converted into Toa by a Prototype Mask of Life, so their Toa elements are off. Rather than being three Toa of Light and three primary elements, they are six Toa of half primary element, half light.

Vezon grew a spine. No one knows how, as like all of his stories, he is incapable of explaining it consistently and the details of the story keep changing.

The Kra-Matoran (except Zentia) have actually all evolved into low-powered Makuta, but most stick to their Kra-Matoran forms. They tend to only switch to Makuta forms while in combat. Only Radiak’s Makuta form is shown since only his is all that radically different from just a bigger version of his Matoran form.

Zentia is a former Bo-Matoran, who was taken as a slave by Icarax, and eventually rescued and serves as a well-cared-for assistant of Parahn.

Kalmah kept all of his mutations as a reminder to the other Barraki.

Takadox accidentally took a Nova blast to the face. Gavla was his scion who was hidden from him by his queen, given amnesia, and turned to a Matoran. She has since reclaimed her title, but I have her listed with the Kra-Matoran in the reference. She is married to Pohanu (Pohatu's son) and Lonya is their daughter. Lonya is what members of Takadox's species look like.

Karamak is Pridak's queen and sister. She ruled in his absence and kept the Barraki species' alive.

Devaya is Pridak's concubine. Etimak is totally 100% Pridak's son, yep, no doubt there, ignore the suspicious underbite that just so happens to match Kalmah's.

Sama is Axonn's energy hound.

Johmak is a member of Mantax's species. Her power is one of many members of their species could have. He happens not to have that one.

Not present here, Mantax has a brother, and likely has a wife and at least one child.

Irika and Reykav are Thok's little brothers whom he raised as sons (Skakdi have been organic this whole time, even while in the Mata Nui). They grew up beside Toa kids, and ended up starting a Toa group. Kimunix and Nizoka were in the group as well before leaving it to join the Makuta and be with their kind.

Avillus is the Toa of Sonic that the Piraka mention in the books to have killed. He and Nocturn were the only beings who chose to leave the Red Star with Kopaka and Pohatu. He is blind and deaf due to his malfunctioned repair.

Matau's kids Kekek and Usall have inherited Hordika and can shapeshift into Hordika with no mental side effects. Oohnora inherited it as well, present in that she is mentally unstable and unable to use a Kanohi.

All of Nokama's kids are either named after Rahi, are Rahi, or in Usall's case, both, because Nokama is a nerd.

Totya: Toh-Tee-Ya (A Rahkshi word for “Not Toa”, which a Rahkshi named Irunak called them as an insult since they didn’t become Toa the appropriate way. They didn’t know what the word meant, and took it on as a Toa Team name. Chaggie Cooking/Baking

Okay... hear me out...

This is something I have wanted to talk about for awhile. But it is so out of left field and absolutely nobody asked for this. But I want to rant, and this is my blog so suck it up.

So I read a lot of fan fiction... probably too much and as far as I have seen. A lot of people agree, that Charlie can't cook, but in the same vein most think that she can bake.

HAVE ANY OF YOU TRIED TO BAKE??

I'm talking anything other than premade flour dough, where you just add eggs, butter and water or oil.

None of this:

Baking is almost exclusively about specifics. Everything has to be mixed for a certain time. Over mixing can cause any rising agent to go flat. If you over mix eggs they will become curdled and dry. But if you under mix your bread becomes tough and dense, almost like a brick, making it inedible. With egg whites they can be left too runny and unusable in a meringue. Temperatures have to be exact. Butter has to be the correct consistency. You have to know how to measure, things can be messed up if you are off by a gram.

This is because Baking is quite literally, stripped down to it's most basic form, Chemistry.

All of this to say in baking you need 5 key things.

Organization

Attention to Detail

Co-ordination

Patience

Creativity

Does Charlie have all of these traits? YES! Can she hold all of them at once for 40 min? I am less certain.

However if Charlie is failing to cook... she is not succeeding in baking.

Now that being said. I think Charlie would make a fantastic cook.

If Baking is chemistry, cooking is art.

In baking if you mess something up and it doesn't taste good, you are back to step one. In cooking, you add seasoning and flavors and adjust to your taste and the tastes of others as you go.

Cooking is hands on, taste every step of the way.

Baking is follow this recipe exact or face the wrath of the gods. Cooking is, here is a general guideline, you decide what a pinch is, and always double the amount of garlic we suggest.

In art, there is trust the process, because in the moment things can look bad or strange or use ugly colors, but you can paint over mistakes, you can use markers to color over wrong lines, you can add details to turn something from a sketch to a masterpiece. You can look at something, see the mistake and fix it.

Tell me this scene of Remy dancing, tasting, and adding flavor doesn't seem exactly like what Charlie would do. Throwing stuff in, just to add to the flavor, improvising.

In episode 3 Charlie literally heard the words "I don't trust you" and decided that's what they were doing for the day. No plan, no idea, just straight into it.

(Charlie and Vaggie probably had a brainstorm session right before to decide on trust falls and to make the banner, but still)

Charlie as a Character very much hops into things with full enthusiasm and lets whatever is happening guide her to the next decision.

That is not the personality of a baker. That is the personality of a chef.

Anyway, someone please make an Au of this with Chef Charlie and Baker Vaggie trying to teach each other and fall in love. It would be so cute.

(Vaggie teaches Charlie discipline and subtly, creating a calmer mind in the kitchen, and Charlie applies that to her personal life, so she can better talk to people. Meanwhile Charlie teaches Vaggie how to have fun and go with the flow. Allowing Vaggie to go out and explore the world a bit more. Greet the world with open arms style. iykyk)

I made this sideblog to share my art and then. didn't use it. so im doing that now!!

my friends and I have an ongoing trend of taking games that i'm interested in and fusing our OCs with the cast of characters, trying to make the lore align in a way where both stories get to show through!! I think it's both fun and great for thinking. And I get to draw all my silly critters in situations!!! And new outfits, and behaviors, with new story!! and references to things I like!!!

So.. here's a few of the things I drew!! Current hyperfixation game is In Stars and Time!! We decided to call the AU "In Claws and Time" because most of the characters are silly fluffy critters instead of humans!!! I'll explain a little bit about the characters and why I made the changes I did too :3 SPOILERS FOR IN STARS AND TIME WARNING!!! This includes twohats!! I don't remember exactly which acts have what lore, but just to be safe, if you're avoiding spoilers and haven't played the game all the way through, don't read!!

We've got our Loop design!! They're a little bit less energetic than Loop in the actual game, smoother lines n slightly less exaggeration, because Scribble (who's taking Siffrin's role) has a lot less energy in general. Still keeps the fun sarcasm charm, but with less of an "OMG!! Helloooo~~ Hi Stardust!!" way. More laidback I suppose. Sorry if i'm no good at explaining!! ^^'

Speaking of Scribble, here's the actual design for Scribble themself!! The king would call them Dark one instead of Bright one, because their species has a lot more focus on being darkly colored (I will probably elaborate on that more in the future, but Scribble and a couple of other characters are actually part of an original species I made up, my friends called them the Paradoxes and it stuck!!! I wrapped the Paradoxes into the lore of the Island and stuff, species rules and traits have been edited to mesh with ISaT lore better, and have nicer designs for style purposes. If you're curious about them, please ask!!! I love talking about these guys).

We also have replacements for the Change God!!! The original story with me and my friends' OCs and such had 3 gods. Dune (the little cat in the middle), Umbra (the little dog on the left), and Adair (the little deer on the right)!! They're triplets, and they have a whole bunch of little mythology stories prepared by me and Wyvern (One of my friends) that explain how their world came to be!!! In ICaT, they take the Change God's role, deities that don't really do much, but are still worshipped for being the higher beings, and occasionally giving a little bit of help!! The little symbols on their collars, while in the image don't stay consistent, they'll be changed to be little teardrop shapes, each with different detailing, showing the versatility of even a simple shape like a teardrop. Umbra with a little water drop, Dune with a cut gem, and Adair with a leaf.

We have characters matched up with various characters in ISaT that don't have designs drawn yet too!!

A few matchups we have that haven't been drawn are:

Tiger as Isabeau Windy as Mirabelle Leaverc as Odile Cauli/Cauliflower as Bonnie Creature as The King Phantom as the Head Housemaiden Masquerade as Claude (Mira's roommate) Petunia and Lizard as that one girl and her dog And many more!!!

There's a lot of characters!! And a lot of matchups!!! and even more to be made!!!

We'll also have silly little extra cutscenes, even more lore than there is in the original ISaT!!! To tell people more about our characters. All of this is incredibly self indulgent, it's just for fun!!! Expect a lot of canon divergence from both stories

I can't really practice yoga now, because of my leg and I miss it dearly. So I decided to share these few head canons I have for the birds ^^

Nozel Silva

Ashtanga

Ashtanga yoga consists of six series of specific poses taught in order. Each pose and each series is “given” to a student when their teacher decides they have mastered the previous one. This is a very physical, flow-style yoga with spiritual components.

The whole practice and system of Ashtanga fits Nozel really well in my opinion. He likes discipline, he likes patterns and this is a also a physical practice. You are getting stronger, through working on yourself and one very specific aspects. Ashtanga greatly focuses on details and how well you perform the sequence.

Solid Silva

Vinyasa

Vinyasa yoga is also called “flow yoga” or “vinyasa flow”. “Vinyasa flow is a style of yoga where the poses are synchronised with the breath in a continuous rhythmic flow.”

Solid would probably get bore with different types, while Vinyasa is the most lively one. Besides there is the flow that a water magic user would have. In Vinyasa you also learn some fun poses and it's very dynamic. It fits his much more "jumpy" character.

Nebra Silva

Hot yoga, but in Vinyasa not Bikram style.

For Nebra I also choose a more dynamic style. She's got that spark and sassiness and wants the freedom Vinyasa could grant her. However since her attribute is mist a high temperature would be a nice addition. She could wear some an amazing yoga shorts and top set and obviously would get a fancy mat, on which she would not slip on.

Aerial yoga

Aerial yoga — sometimes called anti-gravity yoga — is relatively new, but quickly catching on. It involves traditional yoga poses with the added support of a strong, silky hammock that hangs from the ceiling. Nontraditional yoga experience.

Nontraditional is the definition of Noelle after all. She's fighting the "gravity" of expectations towards her and rising above them. However she uses classical water magic and has her mother's spell, so there is that base. She uses them in her own ways. The wings of her valkyrie armor and the fact that she flies guided me towards the aerial style.
