Wanted to get an idea of how they compare to each other and I'm obsessed with actually seeing the height difference between Adelaide and Michael.
Also I don't know if Luis or Leon have canon heights listed somewhere and I couldn't be bothered to check, so I used what I think would be their heights. I vaguely remember reading somewhere that Rebecca was 5'3" tho so that's where I got her height.
#Francesca AU#moose posting#original character#resident evil oc#resident evil original character#my short king and queen Michael and Rebecca#Rebecca is included because duh ofc she is#my OCs work at the BSAA with her#and with Luis#god I love Rebecca#Adelaide Felkner#Michael Assaf

because i am currently working on templates for her, i'll do dani for this one ♡
during recovery from the back injury she sustained in raccoon city, dani started keeping a journal. originally, she would only note symptoms and whatever activity she had done each day to keep track of things, but it eventually became an outlet for her as well to vent or talk about what she was grateful for everyday
dani can't cook to save her life. she will literally follow a recipe exactly and so methodically, trying her best to do it right, and somehow it still won't turn out good. and she has started a fire once or twice on accident
she wasn't abducted at the terrasave company party in 2011 when claire and some of her other coworkers were because her chronic pain wouldn't exactly be preferrable for alex (having chronic health issues herself), despite her experience with biohazard outbreaks and how strong she was making her a solid candidate for the experiments otherwise. but she does go on the raid and pilots the helicopter claire snipes from
when she was in the u.b.c.s. she ended up training under nikolai for cqc, as well as for a bit of sniping, and he became something of a mentor to her outside of piloting. her "little bird" nickname may or may not have originated from what he'd call her at times, mostly in a mocking sort of way to annoy her
beth (belongs to @steelport) is her best friend and i will forever yell about that, so it deserves a dot point on its own ♡
#asks.#nuclearstorms#oc: dani#aaaaa thank youu bones!!! 💖💖#i need to finish doing dani's oc page and like actually put her timeline together cause it's like i have all these thoughts but just still#piecing together the like order of things post 3 cause like there's a lot going on there and some things too i am like torn between a few#different ways they could go you know? like in terms of some things with her past and then just her role in things afterwards?? being so#vague about this but like there's so much in my mind always and it's a time#but yeah so dani wasn't involved with the sejm island situation but she did ofc stay by claire's side when she was brought in and then for#those six months afterwards they worked to figure out where exactly the island was so the bsaa could lead the assault and rescue moira#having lots of dani thoughts again recently but just asking my brain to kindly figure out her timeline thank youuuuu

Older Ashley and Mari! This is the concept that initially started my oc x canon au, as I wanted to give Ashley more moments because I think she deserves to come back and kick ass.
Little bit of info about Older Ashley + Mari under cut!
After the events of Re4, Ashley returned home but found it difficult to return to normal after everything. When Mari shows up, Ashley learns to deal with her past and figures out her future: she wants to save people just like Leon saved her.
So she became a bioweapon hunter! No matter how hard BSAA and other organizations work, outbreaks are outbreaks, and there is still cleanup to do even after zones are declared "clean." That's when Ashley and Mari come in and take out the stray bioweapons, as well as take on missions to clean up smaller outbreaks of bioweapons that the BSAA can't outsource their people to.
They don't work with any government, as Ashley knows they would not take kindly to Mari, but they do spy on the BSAA for leads on where bioweapons might be. This is what leads them to the village after the events of re8 to clean up any remaining bioweapons ^^.
And who knows; maybe someday she'll have a reunion with people she used to know ;)
Their items:
Tracker- She has a tracker that directly connects to Mari's pack so that in the case of separation she can find Mari.
Mini testing kit and lab- A portable lab that can be used to test for infections and viruses.
Pistol and sniper rifle- Pistol is used for closer encounters while the rifle is used for further targets. She balances the rifle off of Mari's shoulder to shoot. (Mari isn't effected by the noise as her ear is located near her hip)
Flares and matches- for starting fires and signaling for help in worse case scenarios. It's not uncommon for Ashley and Mari to spend days in the wilderness tracking bioweapons so matches are necessary for cooking food and purifying water.
Knife- for combat and survival.
Survival kit- basic survival kit with extra medical supplies than normal. Full of medicinal herbs.
Backpack- for storage.
Mari's pack- Mari's pack was uniquely crafted to fit her frame and is packed with ammo, flashbangs, and smoke bombs. The pouches on the back are for quick access while Ashley stands on the metal platform. The metal platform has wheels so it may be tilted for more versatility, and the handles are for balance when Mari makes quick maneuvers.
Thats pretty much the basics! If you have any questions or comments about the AU send some asks, I would love to answer them! ^-^ Thanks for reading!

His Sunshine
Agent Leon S. Kennedy has been through hell after hell. Never having a break from the chaos. His heart has hardened over the years since Raccoon, leading him to turn to alcohol for temporary release. Who would have thought that fighting bioterrorism was the reason that Agent Leon S. Kennedy found his peace and comfort?
Warnings: Mentions of child/human trafficking, death of children, alcoholism
*OC is Asian cause let's face it, Leon has a thing for Asians (Ada and Shen Mei)
When He First Met the Sun
"Hunnigan, what the hell are you trying to say?"
Through the heavy-duty phone screen, a woman with brunette hair has to inform her long-time friend and co-worker of the horrors of his upcoming assignment.
"We have intel that whoever is in charge of creating this strain of the virus is using children to spread the disease. Trafficked children..."
"Jesus fucking Christ." Instead of taking another shot of pure liquor, Leon opts to drink straight from the bottle. The burning liquid glides down his throat, numbing the man even more.
"The president has created a specific team for this assignment. He wants you and the BSAA to partner up with an agent from the FBI. She was specifically asked for by Chris Redfield."
"Chris is on this mission too?"
"The president wanted his expertise in this. It'll be a four-man team. You, Chris Redfield, Jill Valintine, and the FBI agent. Chris said that he'll be picking you up at your current location. You are to meet the FBI agent at 1500." Hunnigan hangs up the call, leaving the drunken man to his own endeavors.
Just when the hell is this hell going to end? Since '98, things have only gone downhill. It seems that all Leon ever does is fight these bio-engineered monsters while losing people by the hundreds. This is hell. Leon is living in hell. A never-ending cycle of death and carnage.
By the time Chris gets to the bar, Leon has already finished one entire bottle of tequila. Lord knows how Leon's liver is doing. Stumbling, Leon leaves the bar to stumble in Chris' car. On his way out he forgot to pay his tab, which Chris had to pay for (but not forgetting to make a mental note that Leon owes him).
"You reek of alcohol." Chris grimaces as he rolls down the back windows.
"Yeah, so? You smoke."
"Not as much as your drink."
Chris opens the glove compartment to pull out a file. "Here, you can go over the mission on our way to the FBI headquarters. That is if you're sober enough to even read."
Leon snatches the file from Chris, mumbling how he can read "Thank you very much". He has to shake his head to get his eyesight to work. The contents of the folder are gruesome. Pictures and names of children that have gone missing fill the thick folder. Some of the last few papers are of what is suspected to be people in charge.
"Hunnigan told me that you recommended an FBI agent to the president."
"Yeah, she's the youngest sister of one of my buddies back in the day. She works in the department of human trafficking and child exploitation. She's only worked there for about two years, but she's one of the best in the field."
"Hold on, you said she's only been employed for a little less than a year? She's a rookie!"
Chris scoffs. "And? As I said, she's currently one of the best agents that specialize in this field. If we're going to accomplish this mission, we're going to need her expertise."
"And how old is this chick?"
Doing some quick math in his head, Chris answers "23".
"She's a kid."
"And she's one of the best the FBI has to offer. That says a lot, Leon." Chris further defends. He must really believe in this chick's skills to defend her like this, Leon concludes. Shutting up, the two men travel to the agency in silence.
FBI Headquarters:
In a small room sits three people. DSO agent Leon S. Kennedy. BSAA operator Chris Redfield. BSAA agent Jill Valentine. Each of them has folders and folders of information that was apparently collected by the FBI agent they will be working with. Impressive for a woman who only has less than a year's worth of experience.
The door clicks open and reveals a woman of Asian descent with a short stature wearing a basic black and white suit, with three-inch stilettos. Her black hair is tied into a high ponytail that stops at the nape of her neck. Her features are soft and the color of her skin tells people that she most likely came from a bloodline of Southeast Asians.
"Apologies for the wait. The president sent someone to deliver some useful information."
Jill asks what that information is.
"That we are given almost all clearance to the highest level. With the president's approval, we can obtain Pentagon-sealed information. Not even the CIA can tell us 'no." You sits down at the last empty seat.
"Woah, it seems he really wants us to catch these guys."
Lean speaks up, "Then we should get started."
You go over the contents of the mission. For a woman who has been working as a federal agent for less than a year, your work ethic is top-tier. Even Leon silently admits that you are well-equipped for your job. And you are sort of a cutie. You talk about how the FBI and CIA are certain that BOWs are stemming from trafficked children. Any questions they have, are answered a couple minutes later during your presentation.
At the end of your presentation, you address the elephant in the room. "So now that I've told you everything that I know. It's time you tell me how to deal with BOWs."
Chris is the first to speak up. "Shoot them in the head. It's the only way to kill them." You nod.
"Are you up for it?"
To you, it sounds like Leon is challenging your competency. He wants to know if you will be a hindrance on this mission. Sure, you are a smart cookie but how will you hold up facing a human-turned-monster? Can you hold yourself in battle? Or will you need to be babysat along the way? In truth, Leon wants to prepare himself when he eventually loses another person in this cycle of hell.
"Agent Kennedy, I understand the reasoning behind your question. In truth, I don't know. Unlike the three of you, I have never encountered a BOW." A sufficient and honest answer. You go on further. "This mission is a give and take. I give you my expertise on human trafficking and child exploitation, you give me the galls to kill those things. You teach me how to kill BOWs, I give you the information you need to outsmart these bastards and get these kids out of hell."
Standing up, you tell your team that you will meet up here again tomorrow, at six sharp. Only this time, it will be at the FBI's helipad. The rumored place of operation is near the Mexican border. The four of you will be stationed in a remote area in Southern Texas for the duration of the mission.
Texas:
"Hey, why do you wake up so early in the morning? Are you getting some extra work in?" Jill asks as the four of you are eating some take-out.
On day two, your teammates kept asking you why they were waiting before barging into the supposed hideout. You understood that for them, barging in with the information you have is a norm for them. But they forget that they are not just dealing with BOWs but human trafficking. If any piece of the collected information is wrong, it could jeopardize the entire mission. You told them, "I'd willingly turn into one of those mutants before compromising the children's chance of freedom."
They stopped bugging you after that. The three of them stepped back to let you take the reigns. They really did forget that there is another part to this mission other than to exterminate BOWs.
"Sort of. I wake up early to do my morning workouts."
It is no surprise that you work out. Everyone in this damn house works out, but to do it so early in the morning and not take a nap during the day is crazy.
"Why so early?"
You shrug your shoulders. "I usually wake up early to go running at the park near my place, but since we're not in D.C., I'm extending my workout to make up for it." The conversation is then directed to how you know Chris.
"My brother was his junior in the Air Force. Redfield once came to our home back in Georgia for...was it Christmas or Thanksgiving of '93?"
"It was Thanksgiving. Your mom invited my family to come over."
"Wait a minute...You were born in '87, so that would make you either six or seven at the time." Jill says.
You and Chris hum before Chris starts teasing you. "She was so infatuated with me at the time that she kept calling me her 'boyfriend'."
Groaning, you throw a pen at Chris who ends up catching it. To further your embarrassment, Jill and Lean start laughing. You can feel the tips of your ears getting hot.
"Dammit Redfield, I was six at the time! Stop bringing up old shtick!" You huff.
"What? It was cute how you would want to sit next to me. You even 'fought' your own mom because she sat in 'your' spot." Chris turns his head and whispers to his other colleagues, "She was so cute I still have photos from that day", making them laugh even more. "Side note: Why do you keep calling me by my last name? We've known each other since we started 'dating."
"Because we're on the job. When we aren't working together I'll start calling you Chris again." You say as you roll your eyes. Getting Chris to stop embarrassing you is equivalent to getting a pig to fly. It is never going to happen. "Plus given the age hierarchy, you're the oldest one here, grandpa."
"A grandpa you once called your boyfriend," Chris smirks. To an outsider, it might seem like Chris and you are flirting, but you are not. One, because it would basically be pedophilia considering you two met at the respective ages of six and twenty. And two, because you and Chris see each other as siblings it would also be a case of incest if the two of you were flirting.
Half-joking you say, "I guess I've always been into older men."
To get the attention off of you, you then ask how Jill and Leon know Chris. Like they did, you sat and listened to their (less embarrassing) stories. By the end of the night, you find yourself getting a bit closer to Leon and Jill. Chris excuses himself to take a call and Jill excuses herself to take a shower. Leaving you and Agent Kennedy on the ground floor.
Leon is the one to break the silent barrier, albeit, not in the greatest way.
"So, you're into older men huh?" You can practically hear his smirk from behind the laptop.
You decide to humor the man and play along. "What's it to you?"
Leon shrugs. "I don't know, maybe after we finish this mission we can go grab dinner sometime?"
"Are you asking me on a date Agent Kennedy?"
"Depends on if you say yes."
"What if I say no?"
"Then it could be two friends having dinner together." Leon shrugs again. You chuckle and shake your head in amusement. You close the laptop and place your intertwined hands on top of it.
"I don't do flings, Kennedy." You tell the man honestly, making sure to make direct eye contact to show Leon how serious you are. Leon holds his hands up in surrender.
"Then we can go out as friends." He compromises. "There's nothing wrong with two friends hanging out over a meal, and it wouldn't count as a fling."
You are not opposed to the idea, but you do want to poke fun at the legendary Leon S. Kennedy. "I'm afraid not. I don't consider us friends, Kennedy. We're co-workers."
"What if I believe that we're friends?"
"Then I guess we're at a standoff." You tease.
Leon takes the challenge. "Then I guess I'll have to convince you otherwise."
You stand up and throw away your takeout container. Grabbing the laptop you head upstairs to where the rooms are. "I guess so," you call out from the stairs.
When He First Felt the Sun's Rays
Your apartment is filled with the scent of different herbs and spices. A harmonious smell that you hate the fact that you have to open your balcony door to let some fresh air in. Your hair is held up by a clip and you are in a white shirt, a thin flannel, and a pair of jean shorts. Classic "girl next door" look. You take a piece of laffa and dip it into the hummus. You have music playing in the background as you finish grilling the chicken kabobs.
You get a notification on your phone that there is someone at your front door and not a second later, they are knocking. Wiping your hands on a kitchen towel and turning down the heat, you answer the door.
"Hey, Leon." Your old colleague greets you back with a bouquet of parchment-wrapped flowers. Thanking him, you let him inside of your apartment and find a place to put the flowers. Walking into the open concept room, you yell out to the DSO agent.
"And don't forget to take off your shoes!"
Leon immediately kicks his shoes off and is hit with a waft of comforting spices. "Smells good in here."
"Thanks, I hope you like Middle Eastern food 'cause that's gonna be dinner. If you're a bit hungry I left out some hummus and laffa out on the island counter."
"Laffa?" Leon asks but still takes a piece of the bread and dips it into the bowl of pureed chickpeas.
"It's a flatbread. Think of Indian naan."
"Did you make it yourself?"
"No, I bought the hummus and bread from a local Middle Eastern restaurant nearby. Everything else though is from scratch."
Leon tries to go around the island to offer you his help but his left foot steps on something soft. A loud "arf" scares Leon and forces him to look down. A body of blond hair scurries across the floor towards you, scratching at your legs.
"Oh shit, I didn't mean to step on your dog." Leon apologizes. The medium-sized dog is now in your arms, seeking your comfort.
You wave off Leon's apology. "Don't worry about it. Shiloh always gets so excited to meet new people that she forgets to stay out of the way. It was an honest mistake so no biggie."
Leon manages to walk around without stepping on a dog this time. He reaches his hand out to pet the top of the dog's head as another apology. It accepts his apology and their tail starts wagging again.
"Her name's Shiloh, huh? What breed is she?"
You put Shiloh on the ground so you can put the kabobs on a platter. "An English Cocker Spaniel. I got her while I was still living in Georgia."
Leon is too busy with your dog to listen to you. He is bent down on one knee and Shiloh is climbing onto him. Begging him to keep petting her.
"Leon!"
"Huh? What?"
You roll your eyes and place your hands on your hips. "I asked if you could help me set up the table."
"Oh, yeah, sure." He spits out in embarrassment.
Together, you get the table ready for your fourth date in a row. Since you got back from Texas, Leon has not stopped pestering you to agree to go on a date with him. The first date was the unofficial date and the second was the first date. Making this date at your apartment the third official date with Leon. To your surprise, Leon is a total gentleman. You thought men like him liked to "date" women for a while in the name of fun. So far, Leon has only been able to change half your mind about him.
The unofficial date was a simple walk in the park followed by lunch at a diner. The second (first) date was at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History where you could geek out. Leon found your dorkiness cute. The third (second) date was a nice dinner at a steakhouse. Leon found out that you gave the waitress your card and told her that you would be paying for yourself. When you parted ways, Leon told you that he would get back at you for your little stunt. And the fourth (third) date is dinner at your apartment.
During your dates, including the unofficial one, the two of you have been getting to know each other a lot better. The two of you talked about your childhoods, hobbies, and stupid shit you did as a kid. Leon is a little confused as to why you failed to mention you have a dog.
Leon hums in delight. "The food is good. Didn't think you would be such a good cook."
"All thanks to my mom who would drag me and my sister to the kitchen whenever she would cook." You shiver at the unpleasant memories. "What about you? Do you cook?"
"Not like you," Leon answers honestly. "Just basic meals."
"Mmm...sounds sad." Leon laughs as he agrees with you.
Dinner went by wonderfully and Leon even helped you clean up. You purposefully put some food in a separate Tupperware for later. After the table is clean and the dishes are done, you propose that the two of you play a couple games of Smash Brothers, igniting the competitive side of Leon. Sitting next to each other, you try to kill off the other's character. After some 1v1 games, you paired up to play against bots in 2v2 games. To further challenge Leon's competitive side, you switched to Mario Cart. You end up getting a text from one of your neighbors to quiet down.
The reason why you two are now cuddled on your couch, watching an old Barbie movie. Why is the famous Agent Leon S. Kennedy watching an early 2000s Barbie movie? Because you wanted to. That is all the reason Leon needs to watch the damn cliche, animated movie about a doll. Shiloh has plopped herself on the other side of Leon. Like you, she has nuzzled herself into his side. When the movie finishes, it is close to ten.
"Think it's time to call it a night?"
Reluctantly, Leon nods. For the duration of the movie, Leon has been petting Shiloh's head, lulling her to sleep. By now, your dog is fast asleep in doggy dreamland. Getting off of your date, you head to the kitchen to grab something. Stretching his legs, Leon gets off the couch and heads to the foyer. When he turns around to say "bye", Leon is surprised to find you standing behind him with a cloth-covered item.
"Here, it's some leftovers from tonight's dinner. Just heat the bread in the oven so it won't get soggy."
For some reason, the gesture warms Leon to his core. Never once has he had a woman pack him leftovers. Not even his own mother. The sweet act touches Leon so much that it sort of scares him. Like scares him, scares him, and scares him because he wants more of you this. Your soft face and sweet eyes. Fidgeting your feet because you are embarrassed. The soft smile on your lips is just screaming at Leon to kiss you.
"Thanks...I'll remember that." Grateful, Leon takes the meal from you and the two of you awkwardly stand in your foyer. "So, uhh...I'll be off now."
"Yeah, yeah. I'll walk you out."
The two of you step out of your apartment and hug each other. Unlike your previous hugs, this one is tighter and longer and more intimate. You have to force yourself to release the hug or else you risk never letting go of the man. You whisper a "good night" to Leon and he returns the favor. Deciding that life is too short, you pull Leon back to you. Cupping his cheeks, you bring his face to yours and you kiss the irritatingly attractive man.
There are a few times Leon has been surprised. Both good and bad surprises and Leon is more than happy to count this feat as a good, no, a wonderful surprise. He purses his lips and uses one hand to hold onto the widest part of your hips, bringing the two of you closer. The new closeness gives you a burst of confidence. In the silence of the hallway, you can hear the faint smacks from your lips on Leon's. Your left thumb rubs over the growing stubble on Leon's cheek.
Leon always thought that your lips looked supple and soft. Finally able to feel them the way he wants to, your lips are supple and soft with a dash of chapped. Who knew kissing you could feel so addicting? To calm the animal inside of him, Leon compels himself to pull away. His mind is going haywire when he feels a string of saliva break.
When you open your eyes, you look too good. More attractive than usual. Too attractive to the point where Leon has to chant "Not now. Not now. Not now." in his head. What puts a crack into Leon's self-control ability is when you peck his lips a few more times.
"Goodnight Leon."
Out of it, the only thing Leon can do is nod, making you laugh a bit. That is before you look over his shoulder, which is still hunched over from having to bend down to your height.
"I can see you two."
Your neighbors that have been nosily watching, quickly pop their heads inside their apartment and close the door. You smile and roll your eyes. "Neighbors." You kiss Leon's stubby cheek and shoo him away.
Leon gives you a charming smile and tells you that he will text you later. When he is a couple of steps away from the elevator, Leon hears you call out to your neighbors again.
"I can still see you two!"
When the Sun Knew He Would Clear the Dark Clouds to Let Her Shine
With his wrists tied together, Leon manages to use his legs to kick the infected away from him. JD is too inexperienced to aid Leon, so he needs to hurry or else they will both die in this hellhole. Before Leon can get the upper hand two shots are fired, killing the two infected. JD checks himself to make sure he is not bit or injured anywhere. Leon sits up and looks around to see who is responsible. It could be a friend or foe.
"You know when you said you'll wait for me to finish my case, I didn't think to find you in an underground bunker."
A part of Leon is relieved to see you, knowing that he has at least one person he can trust. The other part of Leon is PO-ed that you willingly threw yourself back into fighting BOWs. The DSO offered you a position for your extraordinary work back in Texas, but you declined. "I'm crazy to be doing what I do, but I'm not that crazy to fight BOWs for a living."
"What the hell are you doing here? How'd you find me?" Leon demands as you cut the restraints on his wrists.
Sarcastically, you ask him if that is how he greets you after you saved his ass from getting infected. "Hunnigan told me about your little stunt so she gave me your last known coordinates. I called your cell earlier which gave her a few seconds to find your general area. I followed the corpses, which is how I ended up here."
Before the conversation can go anywhere else, JD interrupts. "Woah! I knew American women were hot but seeing one of them in person is a whole lot better!"
You look at the punk male in disinterest. Comically, the guy tries his best to look cool but in fact, does the opposite. "So, you single?"
"Umm...I'm flattered but I'm actually getting married in a couple of months."
JD hunches over himself. "Awe man! Why are all the hot chicks always taken!"
"Probably 'cause she's with the hot guy next to you."
Confused, JD looks to his side and is face to face with Leon's brown sweater. Looking up, Leon is staring down at the short man with his arms crossed in front of his chest. Almost like he is challenging JD to say another stupid thing. The Eastern Slavic male nervously scratches the back of his head and whispers an apology to the American male.
Sighing, Leon tells JD that when he does decide to use the gun, to shoot the infected in the head for an instant kill. JD leads you and Leon further down the bunker and into a narrow hallway where a metal door is. Leon and JD try to pry the door open while you watch their backs. The grunts and noises from the door gain the infected's attention.
What creeps you out is that one of the infected's head slits open to reveal flesh-like tentacles. Leon calls out to you, telling you to get yourself on the other side of the door. A little annoyed that JD cannot force himself through the crack, you plant your foot on his back and manage to push him through the door. Leon tumbles inside the room after you and chains the door within a couple of seconds.
If you were not creeped out before, you definitely are now. When the three of you reach the surface, you end up witnessing how the citizens of this country are being infected. Like a scene from a sci-fi movie, an alien-looking creature is forced down a person's throat. Truly a parasite. The three of you take a quick break before reaching the cathedral. Uncharacteristically, Leon starts to once again, complain that he was shipped off here without anything to eat.
"Are you really that mad they didn't provide you with any breakfast? I get why you're pissed our vacation got cut short, but over breakfast?"
Leon shrugs his shoulders and looks at you like you are the crazy one. Then again, you are not surprised your fiance is bitching about not eating. The man gets hungry as fast as he gets hot. Seriously, if you are not blasting the AC at home, a puddle of sweat will form around Leon. Reaching into your vest, you pull out a wrapped snack.
Tossing it to him you say, "Here. Protein bar. Should hold you over for the next couple of hours." Leon thanks you a million times over, happy to finally have something in his stomach. You offer another bar to JD and he too thanks you for your generosity. You ask the two of them to fill you in on the missing details since you basically came to the country blinded.
When you and Leon eventually leave the cathedral thanks to JD's help, you end up meeting the woman who had Leon's heart long before you met him. A couple of minutes before meeting her, you told Leon to go ahead and go inside the parking garage. You will stay behind for a bit to make sure neither of you were followed. When you eventually go inside the parking garage, you spot Leon talking to a woman with short, black hair.
"So, shall we continue from that night?" She flirts.
Yes. You know who this woman is. In fact, you knew about her before you met your soon-to-be husband. Claire once told you about Leon when she used to crush on him. She would rant about how the DSO agent was practically wrapped around some other woman's finger. Who is this woman in question? Why, none other than the infamous Ada Wong. The woman that brings the ugly insecurities out of you.
"I don't think so, Ada. I don't know if you've heard but I'm getting married soon. Don't plan on fucking that up."
Ah, so the rumors are true. Who would have thought that the puppy she leashed years ago would slip off of its collar and run off to someone else?
"I heard. She must be something if she was able to steal you away." Ada taunts.
"She is. She's more than I could ever want and even a little more than that. She's the reason my endless cycle of hell has stopped. I'm not losing her." Leon wanted to add "And I was never yours to begin with," but he knew that was a lie. For the longest, Ada tugged at Leon's heart and even his soul. He could never get her out from the back of his mind even if he tried.
When he met you, that annoying gnat slowly started to disappear. You taught Leon how to live again, not just how to survive. When he was actually in D.C. and not somewhere else in the world, Leon looked forward to running with you and Shiloh every morning. Five days a week. To put it simply, Leon's hardened heart started to crack the more time he spent with you. There is no possible way to ever thank you for the light you bring to Leon's dark and lonely life.
Ada, as much as she hates to admit it, knows that Leon is telling the truth. He truly does cherish this woman. His eyes hold that conviction. She guesses that her game of cat and mouse with the former RPD is officially over. They both knew their past together would always be there, but now they would truly be going their separate ways. Her heart tugs a bit at the fact. Not that she would admit it out loud. She bids farewell to Leon before using her grappling gun to escape through the hole in the roof.
When Leon hears another pair of footsteps, he points his gun to his right, ready for another fight. He does not expect the love of his life to tackle him with so much force. Unknowingly, Leon cleared all of the insecurities you had about Ada. In fact, Leon would never know that you knew about his past with Ada or about her in general. Not even when he died as one of America's greatest heroes at the age of eighty-three.
When He Knew He Could Not Live Without His Sunshine
Leon knows how shitty his life has been since '98. Nothing seemed to be going right. In fact, it seemed that everything was going downhill since Raccoon. His apartment was bare as a result of how often Leon had to get up and leave at a moment's notice. Leon would drink his sorrows and pain away. He relied on alcohol, but now, he relies on you. A little too much he thinks but you do not mind. You know the shit he has seen and done. You know the shit he has to do to protect the innocent. You know the burdens Leon has to carry.
You make doing what he has to do a little bit easier every time he comes home. Leon used to wake up in an empty bed but now he wakes up to you sleeping next to him. Sometimes Shiloh will sleep between the two of you or favor one person over the other. On the rare occasions that he does get to sleep in, Leon loves to be woken up by you and Shiloh. You would have finished your morning workouts and have made breakfast. While Shiloh licks Leon's face, you kiss the one spot she missed, his lips. Probably because getting kissed on the lips by a dog is pretty gross, but you take what you can get.
Leon loves the quiet moments with you. The one where it seems like the world is in perfect harmony. No BOWs or maniacs wanting to turn the human race into the living dead. No orders from the president or the people under him. No guns. No explosions. Just you, him, and a cocker spaniel in the comforts of your shared home.
Leon loves it when the two of you cook together. You always seem to get a bit bitchy when things are not done your way in the kitchen (a trait that was passed down from your mother), but Leon deals with it. He tries to follow your instructions to the letter to make you proud. Even more so, he loves the end result. Sitting together at the table with delicious food the two of you made together.
Leon can list hundreds of reasons why he loves you, but it would never be enough. No list will ever be long enough for Leon to write down the different things he loves about you. About the things you bring into his life. His heart pounds whenever he thinks about you. He gets all giddy when he knows he is coming back home to you. He mourns the days when he has to leave because of some stupid assignment. It scares him whenever you put yourself in a battle against BOWs because you always have his back. Even if you hate BOWs as much as the next person.
The first time you shared an "I love you", Leon wanted to take you away to a secret location and live the rest of your lives there. Leon wants to be selfish and keep you all to himself, but then his sun will not be able to shine as brightly. Leon loves you. He desperately loves you. He will do just about any and everything to keep you by his side. Leon Scott Kennedy is hopelessly in love with you. It is the whole reason why he is at your childhood home in Georgia.
Knocking on the front door, he waits for one of your parents to open it. He called your parents a few days ago to tell them that he was coming to visit and asked if they could not tell you about it. Leon has just gotten back from a mission overseas so he looks a little roughed up, but he cannot let this opportunity slip. Your mother answers the door and lets Leon inside.
He is welcomed to a homemade meal, family style. A table set for three people. During the meal, your parents ask Leon what the hurry was. They worry that something has happened to you and Leon is here to bring them the horrible news.
"No. No. She's doing fine." Leon looks down at his watch. "In fact, she's probably on her way back to our place right now." The DSO agent knows your weekly schedule. He memorized it so he would always know the general area where he could find you if a disaster happened.
Leon looks directly at your father. "I came here to ask for your blessing to marry your daughter."
Yes, in the two years of knowing you and the year and a half of dating you, Leon Scott Kennedy wants to be with his sunshine for as long as time permits. His sunshine that gave his life anew. The sunshine that he loves dearly. His sunshine.
---
P.S. I wrote this in two days when I should be focusing on my class work. Whoops...Stay focused kids.

"I want us to be a real family, dad"
WARNING: father Chris Redfield (daughter OC included, the mother is Jill Valentine because heheh Valenfield)
One month after the bio-terrorist attack in New York in July 2014, Ana is now sitting on the couch as she looks at her clean knife, but she sees the blood of her closest relatives and friends. She didn't have much of a choice, it was her or them. She knew this day would come, but she didn't know it would affect her emotionally so much.
Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the door opening, revealing it to be Chris Redfield. He was without his bulletproof vest, he wasn't holding a gun and his face had a blank expression. He avoided eye contact with his daughter, and she realized the moment and got up from the couch.
"can we" Chris tries to make conversation, "can we talk? For a second?" Ana freezes on her way to the kitchen, she lets out a sigh and finally looks at her father. She leans against a kitchen counter.
"Okay then. Let's talk" Ana says in an ironic tone
Chris looks surprised by his daughter's attitude, in fact the two were never good at personal father-daughter conversations, they were good at hand-to-hand combat, but talking?
Sometimes Chris misses 5-year-old Ana, he wanted to go back in time.
"so?" Ana catches her father's attention
"How is school?" Those were the only words that appeared in Chris's mind
"yeah, well... normal I guess. Just without a zombie around"
"oh haha" Chris gives a fake, disheartening laugh like it's a bad joke
Chris turns his back and walks to the window, he rests his forearms on the wood while Ana watches him and lets out another sigh.
"When was the last time we had a real conversation?" Chris asks
"I don't know, all I can remember is you and mom being too busy with your work--"
"daughter, please"
Ana's eyes widened when she heard her father call her 'daughter' and not 'Ana', the teenager thought about touching her father's shoulder, but she hesitates, she turns her back and crosses her arms, holding back the tears. Chris turns to face his daughter.
"please look at me..." the tone of Chris's voice was very different from what Ana was used to hearing, usually he spoke in a tone as if he were still working as captain of the BSAA, but here. .. He has a sad and calm voice.
She then decides to look at him and she sees the expression on her father's face, his eyebrows were not furrowed, she sees that her father really wants to start a normal conversation with her, but he doesn't know how. .
"how was work?" she asks
"disheartening" he responds
Chris approached his daughter, feeling the need to break the invisible barrier between them. He knew this was his chance to connect with her, to really connect.
"Disheartening?" Ana repeated, frowning. "You always say that saving lives is what motivates you."
"Yes, it is," Chris replied, feeling a weight in his words. "But sometimes, the cost is too high.
And now... seeing you here, with the weight of what happened in New York... it hits me harder than any mission."
Ana looked away, gripping the knife tighter. "Now you care about me, don't you?", she massages her forehead before speaking. "Dad, I've always respected your and mom's work, and what I can't stand is the thought of thinking that my own parents don't care about me, but what made me love you was that family. They made me see the importance of your job, telling me that you and mom are like superheroes in the stories I read. They made me love you."
Chris felt a lump in his throat. He got even closer and, carefully, took the knife from Ana's hands, placing it aside. He pulled her into a hug, something he hadn't done in a long time.
"Ana, I know we failed in many ways, especially in being there for you. But I want you to know that we always love you and we always care about you. Sometimes work consumes us, but that never means you're not important to us."
Ana felt tears running down her face, but she didn't move away. She allowed herself to feel the comfort of her father's embrace, a comfort she hadn't felt in a long time.
"I just want us to be a real family, Dad," she whispered, still through tears.
"And we will be, daughter. We will get through this together," Chris replied, his voice cracking with emotion. "I promise I'll be more present. I promise we'll talk more and be a real family."
And there, in that moment of vulnerability and honesty, father and daughter began to rebuild their relationship, brick by brick, word by word. The pain was still present, but hope for a better future now shone for both of them.

Don't Let Me Go
Words: 10,245
Warnings: language, talk of alcohol/alcohol consumption, regret, Leon being a dick but for a kinda good reason, people may be mad at reader cause of what she does but whatever idc this is my fucking story, maybe ooc characters and probably bad writing
Resident Evil Masterlist Main Masterlist Join My Taglist
This also was originally written for my OC Tiffany (Whose info on her/original story will eventually be available on this account @imnotobsessedwfictionalchracters )
Leon and Hunnigan are PROBABLY OOC (as I suck at not being able to keep them from being OOC)
Actually find it fucking insane how long this thing is all together
This is it in multi-part form: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3
Reader and Leon are partners with their job (have been since 2004/2005) and is insinuated to be around the same height as Leon
Y/N/N/N means the nickname of your nickname (or just another nickname)
Not Proof-read and I think it can be seen every once and a while (I know you can see where my brain couldn't function how to write the scene so I just guessed and hoped for the best)
Can be read as its own story or as a sequel to You’re About To Lose The Best Damn Thing You’ve Ever Had
Losely has themes from the songs Never Say Never by The Fray, No Surprises by Radiohead, Afterglow by Taylor Swift, and Look After You by The Fray
Anywho, enjoy

January 21st of 2009
Y/N sat in front of the computer with Hunnigan as they went over the assignment before she was supposed to leave in 2 hours. Usually, she would be sitting with Leon on Hunnigan’s other side, but this wasn’t a usual case. They were working with a mix of BSAA Agents and STRATCOM agents. 3 of each, minus Y/N who was the leader of it. So in all, it was a team of 7. Overkill in her eyes. But that wasn’t her job. Her job was to get the assignment done and come back alive.
The only reason the two organizations were forced to work together was because they both had interest in this case and decided that they needed to use both intels for it to work. Over in the Rockies in Northern Canada, parts where there were little inhabitants, people had gone missing before showing up with remnants of a strand of the T-Virus in them. BSAA had found the base back 2 weeks ago while STRATCOM had been keeping a close eye on Dr. Taylor Lewis. Someone who used to have ties with Umbrella in their Europe branch.
So when it was proposed that the two organizations team up, everyone was skeptical. Truly, the only people in the BSAA that got along with them at STRATCOM was Chris. Of course, she was sure that Jill did, but she died back 2 and a halfish years ago. But eventually they all agreed and started working on the team. 3 of the BSAA best people (minus Chris because he was already on an assignment) and 3 of STRATCOMs best (minus Leon because...well she didn’t know why he wasn’t), plus Y/N as the leader. BSAA wasn’t happy that they weren’t leading it and she knew they only tolerated it since it was the President's order for her to be the lead. She wasn’t sure how to feel about the new guy. He wasn’t Graham, the one she had grown accustomed to the past 4ish years. Hell, she never could remember his name, she just knew that Benford was the Vice and he was one of Leon’s friends.
Leon.
She hadn’t seen him much since the start of the year. Since the...break up. And she hadn’t even been avoiding him this time. It just was as if he was never in the office the past 20 days. Not that she had been keeping count! Because she definitely hadn’t been! She just did the math in her head at the moment.
“So, we have some time to spare, want to tell me why Leon sent in a new partner request? You finally ran him away?”
Y/N sighed and flicked a random small balled up piece of paper off the desk. “I don’t even know what happened. Everything was good one second then the next it just...” She trailed off, unsure as to what to say.
“Wasn’t?”
She nodded at Hunnigan’s word. “Yeah. I don’t know what happened.”
“Did someone find out?”
“Find what out?” She looked at the FOS Agent, who gave her a ‘don’t-lie-to-me’ look and Y/N sighed again. “I genuinely don’t know. We were training one day, and I had knocked him down, so he had pulled me with him, which led to us making out. But we were the only ones in the training room and even if someone did walk in, we were hidden by some equipment. The only thing that would have been heard would be our kissing. But that could be any two agents! So I don’t know why it would have knocked him so out of sorts!”
“Cameras?”
“That one corner that isn’t covered by them is where we were. We always trained in the corner.”
“That could be it then. Someone put two and two together and threatened to expose it.”
The slightly younger girl groaned and laid her head on the desk in front of her. “Why couldn’t he have told me? It’s not like I would have freaked! Him doing what he did caused more damage anyways.” She sat back up and ran a hand through her hair, “Where the hell has he been anyways? Haven't seen him since he broke it off and requested a new partner.”
“His own mission. One that I actually can’t tell you about, unfortunately since it’s a gray area on you two being partners.”
“Is he at least okay? Concerning that he’s been gone so long.”
“He called me yesterday saying everything was fine, but he still wasn’t sure when he would return. But it could be a concern as he mentioned he wasn’t sure when he’d be able to call again. He’d try to ping a location, but if we get nothing, wait a week before extraction.”
“Back to the partner comment you made, I just don’t get why he broke up with me and requested a new partner. All he had to do was one and I would have been just fine.” Y/N laid her head in her hand, “I honestly just wish there was a way that we could’ve stayed together and be partners. That would be my ideal situation.”
“Hm, I think, the keyword really is think, there might be a loophole.”
Y/N perked up at that, “Whaddya mean?”
“I think there’s some rule that says you can if you meet certain requirements. I can always look for you, it’ll give me something else to do than make sure my two favorite humans don’t die on different missions.”
Y/N smiled, “If you wanna, I’m fine either way. Leon will do what Leon wants to do and I won’t stop him.”
“Whatever you say.” Hunnigan glanced at the clock on her computer before continuing, “Better let you get ready. Don’t want to keep the BSAA guys waiting.”
Y/N laughed as she stood, “What can they do? Mission won’t start without me there.”
Hunnigan gave her a smile, “I’ll look that up for you and update you on what I find. Don’t die before I get you an answer.”
Y/N smiled, “No promises darling.”
--------
February 18th of 2009
Y/N wrapped the jacket closer around her and made sure the mask was tucked in so she wouldn’t freeze her face. Her shotgun was drawn as she looked out the scope, still no heat signatures could be found. They had been there for 4 weeks now and still nothing.
But, what had happened in those four weeks since the mission had started, 3 of the men had died. One of her own and two from BSAA. She felt bad about the last BSAA kid because even though he was one of the best they had available, he was a rookie. She believed he had only been there for a year, a year and a half tops. So he was the only one out there for the BSAA and had little experience. He was just an excellent fucking shot and took directions well (literally what his file said). And she had found it to be true. Even in the snow, he could find the target and shoot them down.
He was the only reason they hadn’t all died that night.
Since they had gotten there, more and more sunlight was available, but it still didn’t last half a day. And while temperatures were warming up, they still were freezing their asses off. Plus, it didn’t help that Hunnigan had just warned them a snow storm was possibly on its way in.
2 weeks in, she was happy that they were almost done with their trek through the mountain. She was really starting to hate those snow-mobiles. And then around 3 days later, when they came into contact with their agent that had been giving the intel, the remaining 5 members of the team began the stake out to find where the Doctor was and how the people were being infected. But now here they were, around 10 days later and still nothing. No sight of Lewis or of any habitants of the small village that if she was to be honest, she had no clue existed before this.
That was, until she moved her scope to face more towards the West. She adjusted the sight and zoomed in where she thought that she saw movement. And when she was able to focus her sight, she saw that there was a group of bodies standing in one of the buildings. She switched over to night vision and saw that they were just barely too far off for her to make out who it was. She carefully snuck closer, jumping to the top of the abandoned building by her.
She looked again and was able to see that it was Lewis with 2 other people. She didn’t recognize either of them, but one of them looked eerily familiar. But she was sure whoever the two were, they had been gathering the people to be injected with the virus.
She grabbed her walkie from her side pocket and pressed the button to call for her team. “Dream Team, come in this is Condor 2. Over.” Dream Team was something that one of the BSAA Agents had suggested for them to call themselves rather than the boring Snow Squad that they had originally been assigned. And while she was technically Flake 1, she was used to always being referred to as Condor 2, so she asked for when it was just to them or to Hunnigan, say Condor 2. Otherwise she was sure that she and Hunnigan would get thrown off.
“This is Flake 2. I have the rest of the team with me. What do you need? Over.”
“Lewis and two men are in a building three down from my location. A house down from the original spot. I see them talking, but no one else is there. Over.”
“What do you want us to do? Over.”
“Start the plan into motion. I’ll follow and see where Lewis and her men head. Do nothing until I say so, unless you get under attack. Understand? Over.”
“Is that a direct order, Flake 1? Over.”
She sighed, Stacey hated this. She knew he did. Hated that someone who had been there for less time than him was the leader. He was the only one who refused to call her Condor 2 and kept Flake 1 and made sure everyone went by their actual callsign and not the one that they wanted. “Yes, Flake 2. It is. Now do you all understand? Over.” She heard a range of everyone, including Stacey, say they understood. “Good. I’m contacting HQ. This is Condor 2 over and out.”
She reclipped the talkie and grabbed the other one that was specific for Hunnigan. She looked back in the scope and saw that Lewis and the 2 men were exiting the building. She quickly pulled the gun away to follow behind them. When Hunnigan answered, she heard the lady’s voice in her ear piece.
“This is Hunnigan, Condor 1 is here with me.”
Y/N internally groaned. Why was Leon there? Was he even allowed to be? So many questions ran through her head, but she didn’t ask them. She just nodded and ran towards the direction she saw them heading. “Fine. Lewis has been found. I’m following behind on foot. The rest of what remains of the team are getting ready for my word to follow. And--fuck.”
She ended the call before Hunnigan could say anything and made sure Hunnigan couldn’t immediately call back after she had turned a corner to see a fairly large group of military looking people. She turned back and jumped into the house that had an opened window. She snuck over to another before she looked out the window to try and count how many were there. But she was stopped before she finished when someone looked in. She quickly slipped down, trying desperately not to be seen.
And she was sure she got away with it. That was, until her walkie went off and the BSAA kid could be heard practically yelling through it. And when she heard the words he was saying, the blood that was barely not cold already, went frozen in her body.
The kid was freaking and she could hear the guns in the background. Apparently Lewis and the men knew they were there. They knew she was watching. It had been a trap to get her away. She wondered how it was possible, until it registered to her that it was the electronics. And then she realized who the other guy was. She had dealt with him a few months ago with Leon. The two had been separated and had to pray that they would make it back to the other without any guidance from anyone as to where to go because the man could track any electronic waves.
But unfortunately for her, the man outside the window heard it too and had slammed it in. She gave them no chance and immediately grabbed her gun and shot them. Thankfully she was able to get a headshot, even with him moving and her shaking, gloved hand. But it only gave her enough time to disconnect her electronics and toss everything but the small remote that gave her the ability to ping a quick location. She ran up the stairs, trying to find an alternate way out, but realized she was blocked in. her chest tightened as she realized how badly this could end for her.
She grabbed her submachine gun and aimed it at the stairs, getting ready for anyone who was going to come up. She let out a shaky breath as she heard the door being broken down and the sound of someone running up the stairs. She never had been so thankful that she never fucking used these fuckers so she was loaded on bullets for it as it felt for each guy she killed, double the amount came back.
And unfortunately, she was so focused on the stairs, she hadn’t noticed the sound of someone taking apart the roof and jumping down. Her mind had barely registered the sharp pain in her neck before she was surprised when they grabbed her from the back and her mind just blanked. Forgot how to fight back, forgetting almost every piece of training she had. She didn’t know what to do and wasn’t used to this. Whenever her fight or fright kicked in, it was always fight. She never got scared. But for some reason, she did this time.
As they pulled her to the ground, her body felt incapable of fighting back. As if someone had left her out in the freezing cold with not enough clothes. She wasn’t able to move or even scream when she felt the knife stab into the top of her sternum and start to drag down. The man on top of her only stopped when the sound of a whistle was heard through the air. It was as if the second that went off, every man and woman there were called to go somewhere else. The knife was pulled from her as she walked away and she slowly regained the feeling in her body.
But as she regained that feeling, she felt how deep the knife had gone. She felt the blood falling. She slowly moved to grab the bandages from her side pocket. They weren’t much but she knew it was all that she had. She grabbed it and tried to remove her clothing, not caring that her entire body was freezing from the temperature outside. She didn’t care that her bandaging was horribly done and that it wouldn’t do much.
All that she did was grab her clothes and quickly layer them back on. All she did was wobbly get up and leave the scene. Trying to get further and find out where all those people had gone. And she prayed that it wasn’t fucking bingo.
----
Leon’s POV
Leon, who had only been there because he was going over a report with Hunnigan, head snapped over towards Hunnigan the moment that Y/N ended the call. Worry spread through his body as they were unable to contact her back. He felt his knee unconsciously bouncing up and down as the computer kept beeping. He knew that he technically had no reason to be worried. Now, thanks to his own doing, all she was to him was another Agent. Not his partner. Not his girlfriend. Not even his friend. (Of course he didn’t know that the last part was all on his own)
“Why is it doing that? Why can’t you get back to her?”
“She blocked me from calling. Which means one of two things; she needed no distractions or she had to go semi-dark. I’m trying the other 4 members of her team and if they don’t respond, it means that they had to go dark too.”
Leon bit the inside of his cheek. He knew that the team originally consisted of 7 plus Y/N/N. The original 3 BSAA and 3 STRATCOM had been reduced to 1 BSAA and 2 of their own.
If he was going to be honest, Leon didn’t care about the team, he just cared about Y/N and if she was okay. He hadn’t meant to do what he did then just disappear. He meant to break up and let her be for a few days, a week tops, then talk to her. But then he got called in and had to leave immediately. He knew from Claire and Hunnigan both that she didn’t understand why it happened or what caused it. Which he knew was his own doing. He should have told her. He shouldn’t have just said that they weren’t gonna work out. Especially since on their previous mission together they had a run in with Ada.
But that wasn’t why he did it. No. It was because Stacey had been that person who they thought walked in. And as they had exited the training room, had messaged Leon to remind him that fraternizing with your partner was against the rules. He knew he should have just told Y/N why he was doing it, why he pulled away and why he treated her like shit for so long. But he couldn’t. He was scared that if he had, she would have argued with him and said it was fine. That they would figure it out together. It’s how she was and he knew it was.
Of course, he still felt horrible for what happened on New Years, he shouldn’t have done that. Shouldn’t have gotten her hopes up just to crush them the following days. He shouldn’t have treated her the way that Ada would treat him. Shouldn’t have done something that would make her feel like he was using her in the moment because he needed something just to hurt her later.
----
December 31st of 2008/January 1st of 2009
Leon had gotten to her apartment earlier that day to help Y/N put up the decorations. But the entire time all that he had said to her was when he asked her to hand him something or made a comment about getting a drink or going to the bathroom. And then once Chris had arrived, surprisingly being the first, he had gone to talk to him. He had seen her leave from the corner of his eye, knowing she was changing out of the pajamas she had been in all day.
He had no idea what she was going to come out in, but as she came back from her bedroom, a glass of champagne having already been downed, he knew it would be hard to keep himself under control. He noticed that she was wearing that top she had not-so-secretly bought a few weeks ago. Or at least he assumed it was. He had never seen the one she was wearing and he knew she hadn’t worn that one top yet. It was paired with her stupid jeans that fit her perfectly and those stupid heels that he loved on her because for some reason it always turned him on when she was practically a head taller than him. He saw her necklace was the one he bought her for their first anniversary in 2007. The rings were the ones she always wore and he noted that she wore the bracelet that she had owned since highschool on her right wrist, opposite of the watch he got her back in 2006 after her previous one got destroyed on a mission. Thankfully it was her birthday too so he didn’t have to deal with her arguing too much so he could argue that it was a gift for her birthday and she couldn’t turn it away.
He remembered how she kept saying he didn’t have to and that it must’ve cost a fortune. He had just shrugged it off and said he knew she needed one and he thought she liked that one. And even now, over 2 years later, he still hasn't disclosed the price of it. Something he’d never do because he knew she’d give it back and feel horrible about it. Knowing the only reason she had accepted the necklace was because it was their anniversary and she had gotten him something he knew was expensive as hell.
But even then, he didn’t talk to her. He didn’t go near her. Even as the rest of the group got there. He occupied himself with drinking and talking with people. Even as he saw the look of desperation on her face as she talked to Jess and Claire. Even as he watched her walk back to her room with a face full of complete defeat written all over her face.
No. he stayed talking with Chris and her brother Joe while he knew she was likely standing in the bathroom that connected to her bedroom. While he knew that she was probably doing anything to distract herself from how he had been ignoring her. He knew she could hear him talking and laughing with them. He knew that it seemed like he was happier with everyone except for her. But he wasn’t. He hated this. Hated this hell he had created by not doing it already. This hell he had created for both of them where he knew she was feeling like a deflated balloon that he didn’t want anymore. When that was the complete opposite of what was true. God did he want her. God did he not want to have to hurt her this way. All he wanted to do was hold her and tell her it would be okay.
Let her convince him that Stacey wouldn’t out their relationship and they would figure it out.
He got pulled out from the conversation when he heard a faint sound of something crashing in the back. He wasn’t sure if others had heard and chose to ignore it, or if it was just him who did since he was the closest to the hall. He stood and excused himself saying that he was gonna go check on her since they hadn’t seen her in a bit.
When he got to the back of the apartment, he looked in and saw that it had just been the cup that held their toothbrushes and pastes. He watched as she leaned down and grabbed the fallen contents. He realized that she didn’t even notice him there until she jumped as he laid a soft knock on the door.
He laughed softly, like he always did when she did this. “Sorry, didn’t mean to scare ya.” As she placed the cup back where it went, he placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. The jolt from her didn’t go unnoticed and his face went from one of playfulness to concern. “Hey, you okay?”
She nodded silently, and he saw that she was trying to keep her breathing steady. “Yeah. Sorry. I think I’m just getting tired. My body isn’t used to not having to be on edge 24/7.”
He knew she was lying. He could tell it in her voice. But he still cracked a small smile in an attempt to calm her down. “Can’t disagree with you there. But you seem genuinely freaked, like after a mission.” The smile switched to one of concern, “Are you sure that you’re okay?”
She nodded and turned to him, giving him a smile of her own. “Yeah. I am Lee. Promise.” Lee, the nickname she gave him after their first mission together when she got a concussion. He remembered that his name kept blanking on her (as did most people) so she just referred to him as Lee as it was all she could remember and it had stuck. He noticed as she looked down at her watch before looking back at him, “Hey, it’s 11:59, we should get back in there.”
He was about to go to move some hair from her face, but stopped before he even reached his hand. He knew it would leave her even more confused when he broke it off. He knew it would make it harder for him if he continued to act like a boyfriend. So he kept on telling himself that he was being a friend. Friends treat friends this way. He could still be this way with her even when he calls quits to save her reputation. “Are you sure? It seemed like you had left for a reason.”
He knew from the look on her face that he was the reason and it hurt. At first it was because he hated that he was treating her like this, leading her on. But then it was because he couldn’t feel that way. He had to pull away from her so it would hurt less when he broke it. But he felt his resolve falling and knew it was close to breaking.
“Yeah. I’m perfectly fine. I just needed to get away for a moment. You know how I am.”
He knew it was a lie. He knew she lied about something he wouldn’t call her out about. He studied her face and saw that she was doing everything to show she wasn’t lying. He knew she knew he was doing this. But he said nothing. He didn’t put her on the spot. Call her out. He just let her do it. Especially as everyone in her living room began to count down.
However, neither of them moved as their friends began down from 10. This was the closest he had been to her since Christmas. It was taking everything in him not to kiss her. Everything in him to not grab her face and pull it to his. But that entire work he was putting in was thrown out of the window the moment she brought her hand up and brushed some hair out of his face. And as she leaned in to him when their friends reached one, his thoughts to push her away were thrown out the window. As she placed a kiss on his lips. He heard nothing as he felt her softer lips on his own chapped ones.
As she pulled her lips away from his, any control that had been left there disappeared as his hands on her cheeks and he slammed his back onto hers. The moment she let out a tiny gasp, he slipped his tongue into her mouth. He felt her arms wrap around his neck as he began moving them to the sink. Only stopping when the back of her legs met her sink.
He pulled away for a moment, just to bring his lips down to her neck. And between kisses he asked a question that plagued him since he saw her come out in it. “Is this...a new...top?” He heard her humming in response, eliciting a small chuckle from him. “Is that a yes baby?”
“Yeah.” Her voice was soft and breathy, just above a whisper and he held back a groan when she did.
“I like it. You should wear it more.” He carefully moved her arms up so he could pull it off. His lips lingered on her collarbone, close to the center by her sternum, as he breathed in her perfume. It was a warmer one, a mix of vanilla and spice. He recognized it as the one he bought her back when she dragged him into Victoria Secrets when they were having a sale. He remembered her arguing with her that she wanted to buy it so they agreed that he’d buy her that and she could buy him whatever cologne he wanted. Which just happened to be the one he was wearing tonight.
His lips continued down her body as he got other noises from her. He only stopped when he heard a gasp, immediately pulling his lips away from her. His eyes looked over to see Y/N's sister-in-law standing there with a hand over her mouth.
“Shit, I’m so fucking sorry. I should’ve known what you two were doing when you didn’t respond. Fuck, I’m sorry. Um, Joe and I are heading out. I don’t wanna overwork my sister too much by watching the kids after she had a long week. But we had fun. I’ll see you later.”
He stood as he watched Jessica leave the room and felt Y/N/N's head fall on his shoulder. He listened as she ranted about how embarrassed she was by what just happened. How she had been hidden for nearly 30 minutes and then someone came to find her, just to see her making out with her boyfriend. So fucking embarrassing.
He laughed lightly and joked, “At least we were just making out and not actually having sex.”
She groaned and buried her head in his chest, “I did not just say that out loud, did I?”
He missed the top of her head, “It’s okay.” He pulled away before leaning down to grab her shirt from where he had thrown it on the floor and handed it to her. After she slipped it on, he kissed her lips again. “You know I love you, right?”
She smiled and looked into his blue eyes, “Yeah, ‘course I do.”
“Good.”
This was going to hurt when he finally did it.
--
Leon knew that she wasn’t asleep as she laid by him. But he stayed quiet. He knew tonight would haunt him. He was supposed to be pushing her away. Not drawing her back in and making her feel better while he was just going to hurt her in the end.
----
January 3rd of 2009
He knew she was hurt. He knew she was trying not to cry. Leon knew how mad and confused she was. He knew. He knew her too well. He knew that she understood none of it. Even after he explained. He knew that she saw him as the one for her because he knew she was the one for him. But he could stop. He had to end them so neither...no so she didn’t get her reputation ruined. He refused to let anyone think that the only reason she gets chosen for assignments is because they’re together. He refused to let anyone think of her as anything but the fucking amazing and talented agent she was.
He had promised her back years ago that he would never hurt her. That he would never be the one to break her heart. That he would be there by her side no matter what. But then here he was, breaking her heart and about to leave her.
In the end, all that he could say was, “I’m sorry.” And “You don’t deserve this.” He reached to grab her hand in an attempt to comfort her, but she jerked it away. Which he understood. He deserved it. She didn’t deserve this. She deserved better than him. “You deserve better than this. Than me. Than our fucked up situation.”
“But Leon, I like it. I love you. I don’t care about the secrets and the lies. I just want you. Leon, please.”
“I can’t.” He stressed, he still hadn’t said what Hunnigan had told him when he asked what would happen. That was why he was doing this. He had to protect her.
“Can’t what?” Her voice was stretched, he knew she was trying not to cry.
For a brief second, he thought that he shouldn’t do it, but as he saw her face, saw as she was breaking, he decided to do it. “Can’t ask you to possibly give up your job because someone found out! Watch as you have to get reassigned because Hunnigan already confirmed that it would be you. Watch as your life completely changes just so you can be with me!” He ran a hand through his hair, “That’s why we’re done, Y/N/N. Why we have to be. Both in this relationship and in our partnership for work. I already sent in the request for a new partner.” He hadn’t said that last part to her yet. But it was true. He did it yesterday. After she had left the office for the day.
“Leon.”
He ignored her as he walked to her door, he was planning on just leaving, saying nothing else. But as his hand reached for the knob, he stopped, “I’m really sorry Y/N/N. Truly, deeply, sorry.”
He walked out after that. But he didn’t go far. He stayed there in the long hall. He brought a hand up to his mouth to stiffen the sobs that were threatening to fall. He felt his chest tighten as he heard her scream and a crash. He knew she was angry and upset. He knew she was blaming herself. And it took everything in him to not open the door and agree with her that they’d figure this out. That they’d find a loophole. That they’d be alright.
----
February 18th of 2009
He shook his head, trying to forget that last time he saw her. Instead, he became hyper focused on Hunnigan trying to contact anyone on her team. The difference between her and them was with them, it called, but no one answered. He felt himself picking at the calluses on his hands, a bad habit that she always noticed. A habit that whenever she saw, she would take his hands into hers and hold them. He ran a hand through his hair as the nerves built up again when it went off that she disconnected herself from being able to be contacted.
He hadn’t even noticed Hunnigan talking to someone through her mic set until she said: “Do you want me to assume her and her team are dead, sir?” He snapped his head to her. What did she mean by that? Why would they assume that Y/N was dead? She just went dark. Since when has it been the procedure to assume death when gone dark. “Of course sir, I’ll keep watch and will let Agent Kennedy know.” Leon narrowed his eyes at Hunnigan as she turned to him. “They want me to keep an eye out for if she pings a location in the next 48 hours. If not, then you’re being deployed to finish the mission and if you come in contact with her, call for an evac for her. But shoot to kill if she’s been bitten.”
Leon looked away from Hunnigan. He wasn’t sure if he could do that. Shoot to kill Y/N. Personal feelings aside, they had been partners since she joined back in 2004. Since right after he got back from Spain. Hell, she would’ve been with him if she hadn't had to get her appendix taken out and miss training causing her start date to be pushed back to where it was around 48 hours before he got back from Spain with Ashley. He had known her for 4, going on 5 years now. How could he shoot her, even if it was for the greater good? He felt his chest tighten and--
“Leon? Do you understand?”
He looked back at Hunnigan and nodded silently before getting up to leave the room. He couldn’t be there anymore. He felt like he couldn’t breathe. He practically ran through the halls, not caring who looked at him. Only able to catch his breath when the cold February air hit his skin. He heaved, his hands on his knees and he leaned forward. He couldn’t do it. He knew he wouldn't be able to do it. He knew that he would get in trouble. But he would rather get in trouble for not doing his job than have to shoot her.
He just prayed that she pinged to prove she was alive. And that if he ever got sent in, he would find her. Alive or dead but not bitten. Not turned. He’d rather find her already dead than have to do it himself. He would never be able to live if he broke her heart and then killed her.
Hell, he wasn’t even sure if he would be able to live with himself if he broke her heart and then found her dead.

February 28th of 2009
36 hours after she went dark they received the first ping. 11 days had passed since and they had gotten 8 more pings. Leon was at his desk, waiting for Hunnigan to tell him they got the next ping. But as the sun went further and further down, they still had got nothing. He kept telling himself that she was okay. That maybe she just forgot or wasn’t somewhere where she could.
He kept telling himself that it was okay and she was alive. That he had no reason to worry. That she would make it back to them alive.
--------
March 2nd of 2009
Leon looked out the window of the helicopter he was on. 4 days had passed since her last ping. Since they last heard of her being alive. They had sent him in the early hours of the morning to go finish the job and find her. They told him to not have hope she’d be found alive. The cold was horrid and she was supposed to be back by now. It was doubtful she’d have enough heat stored to survive.
But he ignored them. He ignored their warnings and pushed them away as he climbed down and off the heli and walked the remaining mile to the village her team were meant to be staying at.
It took him almost no time to find the abandoned snow-mobiles they had ridden to get there. Took him almost no time to walk into the small place they were staying to find the rest of her team all dead. But still, there was no sign of her. No sign that she had even been there recently. He told Hunnigan and she responded that she’d send someone once they found Y/N. As he exited the house, he grabbed the keys to be able to use one of the vehicles.
He drove through the town until he reached the point where she had gone dark at. It was by a larger building that stood out compared to the rest. But that wasn’t where she had left at. She had left off in a small home by it. He walked in and looked around, finding her tracker and communication devices in a box that had been covered in snow. A few of the windows had been shot through, he assumed it was from her. He walked up the stairs and saw that there was no way out from there. If she had been in there, she had left the same way she went in.
He walked out of the house and was about to get back on the snowmobile, to head to her last pinged location, but he realized that it was inside the large building and he would have to walk it. The sun was going down as the time passed 6 PM as he jumped the fence and ran around trying to find her, shooting those infected that got in his way. Which he was surprised wasn’t that many. He had expected more to be there, but it was like someone had already gone through and killed most of them.
He ignored the fatigue that grew as he ran closer and the sky got darker. Or at least he assumed it did, there were practically no windows in this place so all he had was his watch to tell the time. He ignored the gnawing feeling he had that he was going to find her dead. That he came all the way to bring her home alive that he’d have to do it dead. That he kept telling himself that she’d be alright and he could apologize. He could tell her what Hunnigan told him when he got back. So he could apologize and let her scream and yell and choose what to do.
So he could know if there ever would be a possibility that they could have made it. That they could have done more if he hadn’t let the possibility of what could've happened take control of his life.
As he grew closer and closer to where she had last pinged, he felt his heart drop further and further into his stomach as he saw more and more blood covering the floor. He kept telling himself that it wasn’t hers. It was someone else's. And he wasn’t entirely wrong as he grew closer. A body laid on the ground, he could tell the blood wasn’t even an entire week old so it had to be from around her last ping. He placed his boot at the dead and grimaced as he recognized him as the guy from last summer.
That told him why she went dark.
He kneeled by the body, looking for what caused the bleeding, finding a few bullet holes. They weren’t accurate and he could tell that whoever shot them had a shaky hand. Making him doubt it was Y/N. One thing he knew he could always count on was her steady aim. Rarely would she hit a target in the wrong spot on accident. It was always on purpose. But, he knew the bullet holes. It was with a Lightning Hawk. It was like how he always had his Matilda, she always had a Lightning Hawk on her.
He stood up and continued on, looking down at the small device to see how much further and realized that it was to his left. He turned and saw a door drawn shut. He put the device away and grabbed his gun out from its holster and carefully opened the door. He swiftly turned to walk further in, something that at first seemed futile as he didn’t see her. But as he walked further in and looked around, he saw remnants of her having previously been there.
He kneeled by her clicker that had been pinging her location when she told it to was on the floor with some of the layers she had been wearing when the mission started. But what scared him was that there was a bandage covered in blood that looked like it had been sitting there for a few days. If it was her blood like he thought, that would explain why it looked like someone had shot the guy shakily and unsure. And so that nausea grew as the gnawing feeling that she was dead came back to him.
He shook his head of those thoughts and got up, looking around the room more. As his eyes scanned, he saw that there was a trail of blood that led to one of the walls. When he got closer, he saw the faint marks of what he assumed had been someone moving the cement. He put the flashlight between his teeth and holstered his gun as he began to touch around, trying to find a weak point in the wall. When he did, he pushed in until it started moving. Once it was opened enough for him to slip through, he grabbed the flashlight from his mouth and upholstered the gun.
He pointed the gun forward and slipped through the crack, he walked with cautious footing. He still found it rather suspicious that he hadn’t had to deal with much since he had gotten there. His senses were on high alert, feeling like there was a possibility of him getting attacked at any point. He walked down the dimly lit room, turning the flash on and off so for the case of someone watching him, there was a possibility of him throwing them off.
But any want to not get caught and have the element of surprise immediately left his body when he heard gunshots down the end of the hall. He ran as fast as he could and slammed the door open, gun ready to shoot. But when he got there, he saw that Dr. Lewis was already bleeding out on the floor, but still reaching for her own gun. As he approached the woman, he looked around and saw Y/N laying on her stomach, gun on her non-dominant side, in a corner. And as much as he wanted to check on her first, he ran over to the doctor and kicked her gun as far away from her as possible.
He kept his gun up and stood over Lewis, the barrel of the gun pointed at her head, daring her to do something. But all she did was laugh before coughing up blood. “You...you really think this...this will be...be the e-end? You...you killing me? Think it...it will bring that little b-bitch ba-ack.”
He knew he was supposed to bring her in alive. So they could question her. But Leon just couldn’t. He knew she had been experimenting on children more than she ever had with adults. The information Y/N had found and sent in before she went dark proved it. And something, some part of him, felt like no one who did that to kids could live. Maybe it was his belief that he still was doing this for Sherry. He knew she was an adult now and that she doesn’t need his protection anymore, but it didn’t stop him from making it his main reason.
With his gun still smoking, and Lewis’s eyes going blank with death, he pulled it down. “Still stops you.” He looked up when he heard the sound of an alarm going off and his vision was encased in red. He should have known that killing the head would do this, but he didn’t give a shit. All he cared about was saving her. He ignored the blaring alarm and robotic voice saying that the building will self-destruct in 10 minutes.
He turned to run back to where Y/N was lying. As he got closer to her, he could see she was slipping in and out of consciousness. When he reached her, he placed a gentle finger where her pulse would be, he knew he should have kept his eyes trained on Lewis, in case she turned herself into something, but he didn’t. His eyes were trained on Y/N. She was covered in sweat and blood, hair clinging onto her. Her breathing was labored and she barely was able to keep her eyes open. He turned her to her back and immediately saw what the reason for the bleeding was.
A large gash that went down her sternum. There was dried blood all around it and he saw that shittily done bandage that had moved. It was surely infected and was probably the reason for her sweat. He grabbed his device to call Hunnigan and requested a medical evac. He found Y/N and she was alive. They were in the building, but he was going to try and get her outside. Hunnigan informed him that she already sent one the moment he said the rest of the team was dead and they were 5 minutes out.
The moment the call ended, he gently moved one of Y/N 's arms around his neck before putting his arms under her body. Placing one securely under her knees and the other behind her back and under her other arm. He heard her groan in pain as he started to carry her out. Trying to figure out how to get to the roof.
“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry Y/N/N.”
“Leon?” Her voice was hoarse, barely there.
“Yeah, yeah it’s me. I got you. Medic is 5 minutes out, okay? I’m gonna get you out. You’re gonna be okay.”
“Leon, please, just let me go.”
He shook his head, “No. I’m not doing that. I’m not letting you go. Not anytime soon.”
“But it hurts.”
He looked down at her and saw her eyes were closing again, “I know. I know it does. But I need you to keep your eyes open for me, alright? I know it’s gonna be hard, but I need you to do that.”
“But it feels better that way.”
He kicked a door open that led to stairs, “I know it does Y/N/N/N, I know. But I really need you to keep them open. Just until the evac gets here. Once they get us, you’ll be alright. You can close your eyes. Just keep them open till then.” Y/N/N/N. A nickname he came up with once when they were both drunk and abnormally clingy to one another. A nickname that he only used around her when he was close to breaking.
But she nodded, “Okay, I’ll try.”
He smiled down at her, “Good, try.”
He knew if she wasn’t injured and delirious, she would be yelling and screaming at him. So a part of him was happy she was, but most of him was scared that they medic wouldn’t get here in time and they would be fucked. That the team wouldn’t get there and he would lose her. But he couldn’t do that. He couldn’t lose her. Not yet. Not now. Not when he had so much apologizing to do.
So when he made it out of the maze of a building, he let out a breath of relief when he saw the helicopter landing. Never in his life did he think he’d be so grateful that living Agents were top priority. That they’d rather lose the dead bodies and explain to the families that there was no body than possibly lose someone that could still be of use to them. Of course, he knew there was also the likelihood that they had sent two helicopters.
As he got to the Helicopter, he passed her body to one of the Agents in it before jumping in himself. And as they flew off, he helped close the door that he had jumped in from. For a moment, he stared at the window to see the sun coming up in the distance as the building exploded. But only after a second, he turned back to see the two medics already hooking Y/N up and getting her the help she needed.
He slumped down into one of the small chairs, leaning his head against the cool metal and silently watched as they flew to a hospital in Vancouver that was used to STRATCOM and the BSAA.

March 9th of 2009
Y/N's POV
Beeping. That was all she could hear. Her entire body was sore, feeling like she had been dropped from the top of a building. After a few moments of trying, she finally was able to open her eyes. But she instantly regretted it as the bright fluorescents welcomed her. She groaned as they tried to adjust to the brightness. She looked around and suddenly realized that she was in a hospital. That was the reason for the beeping as she realized how hooked up she was.
Her throat felt dry and like something had been pulled from there. She moved her head to the side and let out a shocked gasp when she saw who was by her. She thought she had been dreaming. That the fever she knew she had from the infection that she knew had happened from the terrible keep of her cut had made her imagine he was there. That he had been the one to save her.
She felt her hand move to reach out to him, but she dropped it when she heard the sound of the door opening. A lady, probably around her grams’s age, walked in. She had a soft smile on her face when she looked at Y/N and walked closer to her. Y/N watched as the lady began fiddling with one of the bags that she assumed was liquids to keep her from getting dehydrated.
“You’re very lucky that boy got to you when he did.” The lady turned to her, “He’s a keeper, that one. He hasn’t left this hospital except for the one time me and another nurse forced him to get a hotel and sleep properly.”
“He’s just my partner--no, wait, he...I don’t know.” It hurt to speak, it felt like she hadn’t used her voice in years.
The lady raised a brow, “I doubt whatever he did will last long. You’ve been here a week and he’s had chances to go back to DC, but he’s stayed here.”
“Where is here? And what day is it?”
“You’re in Vancouver, it’s March 9th. Do you know the year?”
“2009?”
“Good, who’s your President?”
She genuinely had no idea. Graham had ended his Presidency a few months ago and she still had to learn the new guy's name. Only did she know the Vice-President. “I haven’t learned his name yet, but the Vice-President is Adam Benford, he used to be the CIA Director.”
“Hm, I guess that works.” The nurse chuckled, “You sure know a lot about him.”
She looked at Leon, “Yeah...the two of them are friends.”
“I should have expected that. Well sweetheart, we have you on a morphine drip to--”
“I-I can’t have morphine in large doses. It affects me worse than dilaudid.”
The lady took a look at her file and sighed, “Well I be damned, the nurse who did this completely ignored that it says no morphine.” She looked at Y/N, “I’m going let the head nurse know and we’ll get you switched onto, dilaudid you said? It works with no issue
“Yeah, every time it’s worked in the past it's been with no issues.”
“Alright.” She wrote something down, “I’ll be back in a few.”
Y/N nodded as that lady walked out of the room. Her eyes went back to Leon, who was still asleep in the chair, but she noticed how one of his hands was sitting on top of the bed, like he had been holding hers while she was out. She gently took it in hers and brushed her thumb over the top. She wondered if Hunnigan ever found a loophole for them to work. If she ever found a way that she could use to show Leon they could have worked.
She watched as he stirred, his eyes slowly opening and blinking to adjust to the bright lights. He groaned before looking at her and she watched as he straightened up and took her hand in his own. She watched as his usual emotionless face turned to one full of emotions.
She gave him a soft smile, “Hey Lee.”
He moved the chair to be closer before he ran a hand over her, moving hair from her face. “Hey beauti--Y/N/N.”
She moved her hand to go back to rubbing the top of his, “You can call me beautiful. You got me out of there after all.”
“You scared me, y’know? I thought I had lost you there and I wouldn’t be able to tell you how sorry I--”
“Don’t, please. Just...just don’t. I don’t want to think about that. You’re here, that's what matters. That shows that you really care, even if you can be annoying about showing it.”
He gave a small smile, “Yeah, but I really am sorry for not...talking to you. It was fucking Stacey who walked in and he threatened to expose us. I just didn’t want your life to get fucked over.”
“Why would mine?”
He sighed, “Hunnigan said that unfortunately, STRATCOM would rather lose you than me. So if they had found out, they would have displaced you. Put you in another department or place you with one of the other offices. But we wouldn’t be able to see each other anymore.”
“And you were scared I would argue and say it was nothing.”
“Yep.”
She looked over to the other side, “I hate when you’re right.”
She heard him chuckle, “It’s a rare feat, but one that can happen.” She looked back at him and smiled, but the smile fell as she began to think. “What’s wrong?”
“Why did you call for a new partner?”
He let out a big sigh, “Because I knew I wouldn’t be able to handle seeing your broken face everyday. Be right by you, pretending to be a supportive friend while you move on.”
She scoffed, “Yeah, me moving on would’ve taken a lot. Trust me. I even asked Hunnigan to find loopholes in the rules for us to be together.” She sighed, “I guess she never found one cause she never told me.”
He laughed awkwardly and she raised an eyebrow, “Well...that’s not necessarily true.”
“What?”
“She found the loophole after you went dark.”
“And she told you?”
“So I might have come in drunk one day, felt bad because I did that because I drove drunk, and asked her to drive me back to my apartment. It was like I could hear you in my head getting mad, not because I showed up drunk, but because I drove drunk. So while she was taking me to my place, I might have spilt that I fucking hated what I did to you and wished that there was some fucking way for us to work and she might have told me the way it could. The small loophole that you asked her to go looking for.”
“What is it?”
“A lifetime commitment that we both said we weren’t ready for.”
“Kids?”
He snorted, “No. Not that.” He moved and dug in his pocket before handing her a small dark blue velvet box. She felt her heart in her throat. “Yeah...that’s the commitment.”
She opened the box to see the ring. It was simple, not over the top. Two diamonds with a sapphire in the middle on a silver band. She let out a shaky breath before looking at him, “When did you get this?”
“Um...a while ago actually. Last summer, I believe.”
She laughed slightly, “That was why you asked me what my ring size was.”
He laughed as well, “Yeah, I expected you to catch on.”
“But...that was before we talked about marriage.” She looked at him, “That was why you asked me, wasn’t it?”
He shrugged, “I realized that I would rather have a possible answer than make you uncomfortable.”
She smiled and for some reason, she leaned over to him and kissed his lips softly. “Why don’t you ask me now.”
“What?”
Her voice was soft, “Just ask that four word question.” She brushed some hair out of his face, “My answer won’t be dependent on it being the only way for us to be together and work together.”
He smiled, “Y/F/N, will you marry me?”
She smiled, “Yes.” She kissed him again, “Y’know, I would have said yes if you had asked me at Christmas.”
“Really?”
She nodded, “Mhm, that was around the time that I realized that even though marriage is a big commitment and we both have our issues with commitment, I was sure I would be able to fully stay with you. Was it partly because you’re the only guy I’ve ever been with that can handle me when my brain can’t function so I just shut down? Possibly. But it also had to do with the fact I can’t see myself with anyone else but you and every time I imagine a future, you’re always there.”
Now it was his turn to brush hair from her face, “So we could have avoided these past few months if I had just looked at the handbook for a loophole?”
She nodded, “Yep. But that doesn’t make me love you any less.”
He laughed, “Good.”
She closed the box and handed it back to him, “Hold onto it for me until we head back to DC.”
He took it and placed it back in his pocket, “I love you, you know that right?”
“I questioned it for a while, but yes, now I do.”
He laughed, “Good.”
They were silent for a few minutes until she looked him dead in the eye, “Can you promise me one thing, Leon?”
“What is it?”
“Never let me go, please? Promise me if you ever start to get insecure with anything in our relationship that you will tell me and we work on it.”
He smiled and kissed the top of her hand, “I promise.”
She smiled, “Good.”

My Main Ships (in the AU)
Figure I’ll list the ships in my AU. Some of them are what the tender youth would call ““problematic.”” I see them as ‘compelling’, ‘having actual stakes,’ and having challenging conflicts beyond ‘will they love meee in this coffeeshop?. Many of these people canon and OC have been with this AU since its inception and serve up the many themes found in it. Yes, some of them overlap as I'm team let people grow and have experiences/multiship. Nemesis/Jill The bread and butter of this AU. Full of complication as to why each proceeded with *dramatic handwave* this. A lot of unhealthy coping with their mutual and separate traumas (other than you know that whole trying to kill each other biz). Also, fun toying with that human/monster divide and how intimacy is wildly different between the other in monstrous ways. Is by far the most complicated ship. Gets very unsettlingly trippy with that 'mental connection' they have these days. Nemesis/Zeus(OC) I was apparently doing monstery brocon/twincest before it had a name (also lol myth shout out)? In seriousness, this is one of the most toxic ships in the AU because the two essentially are what happens when abuse travels down the line leading to unhealthy copes. It just happens to be between two highly dangerous monsters who both lack the concept of what family much less consent is (or even orientation; neither gets what that is, gender is 'what humans need us to be') while raised in horrible captivity, with one very out of his damn mind. Also noting that this AU doesn't deal in 'perfect' victims. Chris/Sheva A tragic pair that came to be out of Chris cheating on Jill out of loneliness and the distance Jill’s trauma caused. Things resolved where these two became an item (with Jill’s blessing even) but the vibe of Chris settling won't leave Sheva along with the torch for Jill Chris denies is there. He loves Sheva, he truly does, but that feeling for Jill is there, and Sheva, despite it all, hurts from that fact (never mind the guilt of at one time being the other woman). Ada/Carlos The spicy bi panic of two free spirits who know who they are and what they are about. Meeting up by ‘chance’ or rather by ‘plan’ as what are the odds of a spy and a guy for hire meeting up at the same places? They clearly run in similar circles but the attraction and fun of having a good time is there. Funny enough, one of my most healthiest of ships.
Shana(OC)/Jessica(OC) My too wholesome to live lesbian ship. One is a BSAA ‘green’ who after years of taking jobs under the table fighting BOW, can work on the up and up to fund her wife’s MS treatments. Aside from some of Shana’s work history (and the depths she’d go to save her wife), these two are just deeply in love with each other. Bonus round: Not as featured but part of the AU *lore* Brad/Gwen(OC) The secret between them – Brad hooking up with a too young Gwen and ending up with a love child – was what resulted in Brad living in fear of doing more wrong to her and his son, Tomas. Secretly paid money and cared for them at her request as Gwen didn’t want all their lives destroyed. Was it right? No, but this dynamic worked until someone found out using it to blackmail him into leaving Alpha Team behind at Spencer Mansion for hours. Trent(OC)/Gwen(OC) Trent and Gwen found themselves teen parents with the arrival of Tomas (he didn’t know Tomas wasn’t his). Trent was defeated by the prospect of his plans in the military being derailed and turned to drinking. He loved Gwen and Tomas but was prone to flirting when not sober. Gwen, hardworking and from the ‘wrong side the tracks’ sees herself as pragmatic and tried to manage the situation she found herself in with all the foibles of a teen that grew up too fast. Working jobs with a fake ID, she fought for her little family and cared for Trent and Gwen but held resentment to him not being reliable hence her staying out late and drunkenly hooking up with Brad. Tomas was her whole world and would crawl through hell for her son. Trent and Gwen are a hot mess that had Raccoon not happened would have probably either got their shit together or broken up. Ghandon(OC)/Tracey(OC) The put upon Nurse that actually cared for her ‘sons’ the NE-Ts: she read to them, talked to them like ‘people’, was a true ‘parent’ to them, watched as they gained more and more of a personality as the parasites learned. She had to ‘compete’ with Simon Ghandon’s attentions towards them who were not even remotely wholesome, to the point she played into the man’s delusions to gain the boys some respite. It, unfortunately, only worked for so long. Ghandon(OC)/His ‘boys’(OCs + Nemesis) Man with a God Complex + closeted + given complete control over 4 powerful BOW units. What could possibly go wrong? This is the main reason Nemesis has rage issues, control issues, lacks boundaries/has no idea of consent (other than not being human, so it’d been hard to grasp such a human-based concept anyway), and despises humans. Is one of the reasons (next to Nemesis) Zeus has really borked ideas on ‘love.’ This ship bracket is not just toxic, but hellish. Wesker/Jill Started as a side fling (not sexual but sexualized) feeding into Jill’s secret masochist tendencies (because no one was out about such things in the era of DADT and Anita Hill) that turns into a plot to manipulate her actions like with Brad and Barry. He intentionally knew the fallout would cause tension between her and Chris; then 5 happened. Oh boy did RE5 happen. Let’s just say he fucked her up mentally, emotionally and physically and continues to after his ‘death.’ Wesker is to Jill as Ghandon is to Nemesis. Wesker/Excella The Regional Director high on her own supply (and coke and wine) and the manipulative bioterrorist who plays along to get what he wants- what could possibly go wrong? Game playing was afoot, especially with her known jealousy toward the puppet, err Jill.

When I was a kid… I never thought my life would turn out this way.
The vaccine was being distributed with the canisters open by the wide raft of the Osprey that was flying over the city. The shimmering particles were healing all the infected that were roaming the ground, returning them back to humans.
Rebecca was sitting on the opposite side of Chris with a blanket around her to keep her warm from the upcoming Autumn breeze. Both were the ones closer to the raft with the other two, Leon and So Ah, further from it.
So Ah was laying down on the bench at Rebecca’s side, visibly shivering and quietly whimpering. Her bad arm was over her torso with her fingers twitching at the pain.
Leon was kneeling on the ground next to her, his jacket over her and leaving him in a dark blue long-sleeved shirt. His arm was pressed next to her head, gently brushing away her damp bangs from her face. A deep frown was on his lips, sensing the heat of her fever emitting from her skin.
Her injuries were still ever so slowly healing but they weren’t fast enough to his liking. Back in China, he watched her twisted ankle mend up in an instant to rush her to her sister.
But right now, it was as if the virus was dissipating. For once, he didn’t want the pathogen to leave her system as much as she did.
“And once again, we find ourselves back where we started.” Rebecca said, as if sad.
Chris tilted his head in her direction, “What do you mean?”
“We got the bad guys.” She continued, “Hope we made the world a little safer.”
Yeah, like hell that would happen. Not when those corrupted officials keep finding ways to recreate the virus with different strains that are always more complicated than the other.
It was a dead dream to want the world to be safe.
Leon muttered, confused yet utterly hurt, “Why won’t it work, So Ah…?”
Chris looked over at his friend and he piped in, “She still cares about you, you know? Why else would she take your place?”
“She said it herself,” Leon said, not taking his eyes off of her, “It was guilt.”
“And you believe her?”
Leon went quiet for a bit, finding his comment suspicious. After all, she came with Chris and Rebecca – meaning, he knew where he found her.
“You know what’s going on with her, don’t you?”
Chris pressed his lips into a thin line before speaking, “It’s not my place to tell you.”
“This has been going on for too damn long, Chris, and she clearly would rather die than tell me anything,” Leon snapped, twisting his head around to glare at him, “What the hell is going on with my wife, Redfield?”
The BSAA operator stared at him silently, glancing over at Rebecca then he sighed, leaning back with his arms folded against his chest.
“One of my men has been keeping me updated on her. She…” He searched for the right words to say, “She had a personal vendetta against the BSAA’s medical researchers. So, that department suffered from numerous attacks and a lot of our doctors and scientists were killed by her. Assassinated.”
No way that was the truth.
Leon didn’t want to believe that the woman would pull something like this. She never enjoyed taking any lives. If anything, she wouldn’t stoop down that low for no reason. She wouldn’t kill for sport – not at all.
Chris ended, clearly lying, “That’s all I know.”
Leon looked back at So Ah, soft shock on his features with his parted lips. All the hesitance she had around him, the secrecy – something was not adding up. Empty holes filled the explanation.
He turned his eyes to Chris, not believing him – or probably refusing to do so, “Why do I feel like there’s something else you’re not telling me?”
Chris’ brow twitched. He really didn’t want to reveal something as big as the tracker – that wasn’t his job. While he wanted the best for them, he didn’t want to get in the middle.
Before he could open his mouth, an audible whimper emitted from So Ah and it caught Leon’s attention in a blink of an eye.
“Eom–ma… Appa…” She whispered weakly, her hand beginning to shake and pat around as if searching for her parents’ presence, “Jae… Jaehyun…”
Leon’s heart broke as he trailed his eyes down to her fingers that were barely reaching out. He let her hold onto his hand and a soft trembling sigh escapes from her lips, visibly relaxing.
The corners of his lips curled downwards, brows furrowing in the centre as he gazed down at her accessory. His thumb brushed over the ring she wore, reminiscing the night he saw her at the start of the aisle.
“It’s a beautiful ring.” Rebecca complimented it with a gentle smile.
Leon chuckled faintly, lovingly, “Should’ve seen her at the wedding.”
The smile on his face dropped; both of them really didn’t know their lives would come to this. Just a little less than a year ago, they were happier than ever, dancing and swaying the night away with all their friends and families.
It was scary how things change over time.
“Hey, Chris.”
“Yeah?”
“How much longer can we keep going on like this?” Leon asked tiredly, looking over at him.
“I don’t know…” Chris released a sigh, leaning forward onto his arms before looking at him with a light-hearted smile, quoting him, “I never make plans that far ahead.”
Leon shook his head with a faint huff, shutting his eyes for a moment. A hum came from his wife, taking his attention only to see her tilting her face to his touches.
They were going to get through this.
He vowed so.
✠✠
Gran Hyatt Seoul Seoul, South Korea Wedding Day
Talk about getting cold feet – literally.
Her anxiety was sky-high, everything was utterly overwhelming. Nothing was wrong or out of the ordinary. Her appearance was as perfect as one can be, and the decorations of the venue were exactly as they had planned.
She couldn’t handle being in her room any longer. With the windows open for fresh air, she still felt suffocated. The jitters were making it very hard for her to stay composed and the goddamn heels sucked absolute ass. The girl would wobble left and right like a drunken sailor on a swaying boat.
So really, her feet were actually cold.
She could only imagine her mom’s and best friend’s horror when they go to the bride’s room only to find a pair of rose-gold fancy stilettos – and nothing, no one, else.
✠✠
So Ah had gone missing. The wedding was about to start any minute now and every close member of the family was out looking for the little Road Runner.
Leon was walking briskly down the spacious halls of the hotel, letting his hawk eyes look for a certain bride. He, being the groom, was in his room, chatting with Chris about how he really didn’t believe this day would even arrive.
Because it was true – with his line of work, he fully expected he’d be engaged for the rest of his life with little to no time to plan a wedding. Being one of the DSO’s top agents, the higher-ups gave him several months off to prepare for the event – and even gifted both him and his soon-to-be wife a grand gift.
It was a month-long trip to Hawaii.
When So Ah revealed to her family the wedding plans, they instantly jumped to help, with Sena being the most excited one of them all. She was quick to throw suggestions to the point Leon laughed at her hyperactivity.
It was decided to be spent in Seoul as most of her family and friends were there – yet the wedding held some Western aspects. Just for the fun of it.
Leon and So Ah checked the venue, listening to the planner ramble on and on about their services. In fact, the girl was the one listening to the man, Leon was in his own world, staring in awe at the venue.
It was an instant yes from him before she could turn and ask for his opinion. He really couldn’t hide his own excitement.
It took weeks and weeks to finish planning. So Ah’s social anxiety and overthinking prevented her from catching a wink of sleep. Leon was there to coax her back to bed, reassuring her that everything was going to be perfect.
That was until Jaehyun, her older brother, burst through the doors with shock written all over his face. He was breathing heavily when he spoke; “So Ah… She’s gone.”
Leon’s heart fell to his stomach at this and nearly spat out his drink. Rushing out of the room, he left his blazer behind, the sleeves of his white button-up shirt rolled up.
She was really about to pull a Green Life now?
Leon caught a glimpse of her closest friend, ChoHee, walking as fast as she could. She wore a long slim a-line dress of the colour baby pink, reaching her ankles. The cone heels she wore were of the same colour.
She gave him an apologetic look as she went past him, phone to her ear, “C’mon, So Ah. Pick up!”
Leon cussed under his breath, turning the corner and he saw Jaehyun coming towards his direction.
“Anything?” Leon asked him and he shook his head.
“No,” Jaehyun huffed, turning towards him whilst walking backwards, “She was always good at hide and seek.” Then he skipped down the hall.
A negative thought weaselled its way into his head. So Ah had kept this whole thing on hold for a good reason, and only decided to change her mind because he wanted to start planning the wedding. Maybe she never wanted any of this.
Yet he remembers how she was the one who wanted everything to go the way she had expected. Her artistic mind pictured every nook and cranny; from the decorations and catering service, all the way to where and how should the guests be.
Leon brushed his side bangs almost uneasily. Even his hair was styled, having the left side of his hair pushed to settle behind his ear and the other side remained as it is.
He was committed.
Having slowed down to a stop in front of the main room, the aisle, he saw the guests chatting lively about the decor, moving to find their seats.
“Leon!”
He turned to face Claire running up to him with a familiar phone in hand. Her slipdress was her signature red colour and her high heels were similar to that of ChoHee’s.
She offered it to him, softly panting.
“Found her phone.” She said as he took it, “It was left in her room.”
There were numerous missed calls and texts from Sena, ChoHee, Jaehyun, and even her dad, Michael. Her phone lit up again; another call from the CEO of Green Life. Ah, her phone wasn’t off – it was muted.
“God damn it, So Ah.” Leon muttered.
“She couldn’t have run off, Leon.” Claire gave him a sympathetic look, “She’s gotta be around here somewhere. Maybe one of the receptionists saw her.”
“Okay…” Leon nodded, releasing a deep sigh as he put her phone into his pocket and took out his, “You ask if they saw her. Call me if you find anything.”
“Of course,” Claire chuckled lightly, giving him a pat on the back as she went to move past him, “I mean, how hard is it to spot a woman in a wedding dress?”
With So Ah, she could be in a Barney costume and still find a way to hide.
Leon scrolled through his contacts as he walked briskly down the hall – maybe he could check the bar this time.
“Chris, did you find her?” Leon asked, hurriedly.
“Not yet.” Chris answered, “She’s nowhere in the garden.”
In the distance, he heard Piers joking, “Maybe she’s got cold feet.”
“Less talking, and more looking, Piers.” Chris warned, hiding his chuckle, “Don’t mind him, Leon. We’ll find her.”
The call dropped as that negative thought returned. Leon shook his head as if to get rid of it, muttering to himself, “Hope you’re wrong, Nivans.”
✠
Leon stopped at the end of the hallway for a moment to breathe, turning his head to the left at the quick clicking of heels. Sena was running around with a pair of heels in her hands.
Being the parent, her dress would be the second to stand out from the bridesmaids – the first being the wedding dress itself. It was sky-blue with the straps going around her neck.
What would make her stand out would be the sheer veil hanging over her elbows, going perfectly with her slim a-line dress. Her hair was done in a low bun, using a fancy golden hairpin to keep her side bangs in place.
Her eyes met his and she let out a sigh of relief, “Oh, dear, Leon. Please tell me you found her.”
Leon shook his head with a frown, looking down at his phone for a miracle text from Claire, telling him that she found his bride – but nada.
“That stupid girl, on this memorable day too?” Sena groaned stressfully, showing him the heels, “She even left her heels behind and ran off.” She looked over her shoulder, worried, “Poor girl must be nervous.”
“What about Mr Han?” Leon asked, “Did he find anything?”
“He’s been calling her cell but she isn’t picking up.” Sena replied, making him almost roll his eyes, unimpressed with the whole outcome.
He took out her phone from his pocket with a fake smile, “She left her phone.”
Sena scoffed, her motherly nature kicking in, “Running off without her heels and phone? Might as well give me a heart attack next.”
“Do you know how cold these floors are?” She ranted, “Anyone could easily catch a cold!”
A chuckle came from him, shaking his head lightly. Her daughter might be missing yet she was worried about a flu. She wasn’t wrong though, the marble floors were cold. Maybe it slipped her mind that So Ah can’t really get sick anymore.
“If you’re So Ah,” Leon asked, “Where would you go when you’re anxious?”
“Some place private and quiet,” Sena answered before sighing, giving him a helpless look, “But guests are everywhere, where could she be?”
Leon thought about it, putting himself in her shoes – or heels in this case. The Grand Hyatt had an outdoor venue on the roof. When they first checked it, So Ah wanted to see the rooftop.
Leon had to convince her to leave and later on one of their quiet nights in their house, he found her fallen asleep over her work desk with a pencil hanging loosely from her fingers. Observing the sketch she was working on, it was the same sight that she had seen from the roof.
It overlooked the modern city of Seoul along with the Han River – one of the first sightseeing places he’d visited – and all their eighteen beautifully landscaped acres.
It clicked in his head.
“I may have an idea.” Leon told Sena before running past her, heading straight to the elevator.
Please be there.
✠
The sky had shifted its hues to a blurred mixture of oranges, reds, and purples. Sunset was close, coating everything in its golden hour.
Leon walked out of the building, eyes scanning the spacious poolside for his bride – and there she was, sitting behind one of the many planted trees. They were short enough for the brushes of leaves to partially hide her from anyone’s sight.
But he wasn’t just anyone.
A sense of relief washed over him as he made his way around the pool, calling out, “Knew I’d find you here.”
“Leon?”
The delicate voice eased his nerves when she perked up. He watched her figure stand up and quickly tug the rest of her pooling dress to her side.
“Don’t come any closer.” So Ah spoke fast, “You can’t see me.”
“Why, because it’s bad luck?” Leon chuckled, putting his hands into his pockets as he stayed in his distant spot, “You were always the superstitious one.”
“No, it’s…” So Ah’s form tensed a bit, “I don’t want you to see how I look. At least not now.”
“Okay, whatever you wish, princess.” Leon affirmed and through the leaves, he could pick up on her turning her head over her shoulder.
“I need a minute…” She said, voice clearly shaking, “I’ll be down in a sec.”
Leon trailed his eyes down to the gown peeking from the corner of the hedge, trying to lighten up the mood, “Don’t tell me you’re getting cold feet now.”
“What?! No, no!” She objected, shaking her head profusely, “I’m just… It’s a lot of people, Leon.”
“It’s a wedding – our wedding. There’s bound to be a handful of people.”
“I know, I know… but still, what if something goes wrong?”
Ah, here she goes.
Leon asked, indulging in her overthinking habit, “Like what?”
“Like what if I trip?” She started rambling, “Or, or, what if I drop the ring – oh my god, what if I mess up my vows?! Oh, god, that’d be so embarrassing!”
“So Ah,” Leon stopped her with a short breathily laugh, “You know, I’m nervous too.”
“... Really?”
“Are you kidding?” He huffed, slowly moving closer, “I haven’t been able to stay in one position for more than a minute. If I have to check on our guests or the food one more time, I’ll probably go insane.”
So Ah giggled at this and he couldn’t help but smile at the sound. Her voice dropped to a soft whisper, nervously, “You… You don’t regret this, do you? This wedding?”
“Of course, I don’t, So Ah.” Leon stopped right behind the tree, remembering what she asked of him and he sighed, turning around so his back was facing her, “I know you said we could’ve signed on it but I wanted this. I wanted to do all of this since the day I got down on one knee for you, buttercup.”
“I want this too…” So Ah glanced to the side, barely seeing his figure, “I don’t want anything to go wrong, Leon.”
“It won’t.” He reassured, offering his hand, “Today is going to be perfect.”
She took his hand and Leon smiled at the delicacy of her skin, thumb caressing the back of her hand as he gazed at her perfectly manicured nails. He could feel her subtle tremors.
“Okay… I think I’m ready.” She released a big sigh, “Thank you, Leon.”
“No problem,” He hummed before an idea popped into his head, “Hey, can you close your eyes for a moment?”
She repeated, puzzled, “Close my eyes? Why?”
“Just do it.” Leon convinced her, “I’ll keep mine closed too, don’t worry.”
“O… Okay…” She spoke as if growing shy, “Uhm, they’re closed.”
Leon’s hand trailed up her arm, shutting his eyes in the process as he let his muscle memory take over. He walked to her side of the hedge, feeling the coolness of her skin beneath his hand going over her shoulder. A small gasp came from her, emitting a chuckle from him.
“Eyes closed, sweetheart.”
His palm rested right under her jawline, thumb gently brushing over her bottom lip as if trying to locate it. He felt her sigh and lean against his touch, her own hand going to his arm. His other hand had situated on her waist, pulling her close.
Tilting his head down, Leon pressed his lips against hers, swallowing the faint surprised sound. Her eyes squeezed shut in an attempt to really keep them closed. Her lips felt softsoft against his and he could taste that cherry chapstick she always applied.
It was a simple but meaningful kiss. It brought them comfort and eased her anxious thoughts away.
One last kiss as an engaged couple.
Leon pulled away, a teasing smile on his lips when he felt her attempt to reconnect their lips, “You better have those eyes closed.”
“I only hope you’re doing the same.” She chimed back, lightly pinching his arm.
“Didn’t see a thing.” He laughed as he moved away to be behind the hedge and turned around to leave, opening his eyes, “See you at the end of the aisle, Mrs Kennedy.”
✠✠
Gentle music echoed down the vast halls as the bride was rummaging through her closet. Sneaking back to the room was as easy as sneaking out. All of the guests were in awe of the decorations and whatnot, allowing her to slip past anyone who knew her.
So Ah couldn’t find the heels. The wedding was starting and she couldn’t find her heels.
Before her anxious state could send her spiralling into a panic attack, the door slammed open to reveal a heavy-breathing Sena. Her mother’s eyes widened, gasping when she saw So Ah in the room, clearly looking for her heels. Right behind her were two of her three bridesmaids; ChoHee and Sherry Birkin.
ChoHee being the maid of honour.
“Oh, you have no idea how much I want to ground you right now.” Sena scolded, approaching her and putting down the heels in front of her, “But there’s no time, come on!”
“Grounding me when I’m thirty-three, eomma?” So Ah asked, using the vanity as leverage to slip them on.
“You’ll always be a little girl to me, honey.” Sena shot back, looking around her, “Dear, where are the veil and the tiara?”
“Oh, right here, Miss Kim.” Sherry picked the veil up from over the chair and gave it to her.
“Running off? Really?” ChoHee raised an eyebrow, moving around her to get the accessory from the couch.
“You get married first, then we’ll talk about me running off.” So Ah muttered childishly, giving Sherry a sheepish look when she giggled.
ChoHee showed off her engagement ring with a grin, “Right behind you, sweet cheeks.”
“Stop bickering and more touch-ups!” Sena urged, setting the tiara on her daughter’s hair after fixing the veil.
Her mother went to the vanity, picking up the lip gloss before going back to her, “Veil up.”
“Eomma, calm down.” So Ah tried to speak whilst Sena fixed up her lips, finding her frantic state anxiety-inducing.
Sena stopped for a moment to gather a deep breath, nodding as she was aware of her anxiety, “You’re right. You’re right.”
“Girls,” She faced Sherry and ChoHee who were subtly trying to fix their hair, “You can go join Mr Han – we’ll meet up with you there.”
“Of course,” Sherry nodded then gave So Ah a smile, “Good luck out there.”
“Yeah, don’t pull a Sonic again.” ChoHee teased, earning an unimpressed look from her best friend.
“Don’t forget your flowers!” Sena reminded them before they left, which they hurriedly took and went out.
So Ah looked at her mom nervously, “Eomma, I’m scared.”
“You’ll do okay, honey.” Sena reassured, cupping her cheeks with a tearful smile, “He’s one lucky man to have such a precious girl like you.”
The Han girl’s eyes stung, biting the inside of her cheek with a meek smile and she hugged her close, “Thank you, eomma – for everything.”
“Awh, don’t make your old mother cry and ruin her make-up right now.” Sena scolded lightly, chuckling as she returned the hug before she pulled away a little, “Let’s go before they think something’s wrong.”
✠
Michael saw his wife holding onto his daughter’s hand, helping her walk as fast as possible to the entrance of the aisle. All of her bridesmaids were there; along with Helena Harper. Jaehyun’s two kids, Yebin and Yisoo in matching pink dresses.
It had been seven years since they visited her back in Los Angeles – the little girls were now thirteen years old.
They were nudging one another, bickering to themselves as the other would nab the flower petals from the other’s basket. Next to them stood Chun-Hee, Minji’s six-year-old daughter. She was minding her own business, playing with her own petals.
“I’ll handle it from here, my lotus.” Michael assured his wife, pecking her cheek.
Sena sniffled and nodded, turning to her daughter one last time, “I’ll be in the front seat in case you need me, okay?”
“Okay, eomma.”
Jitters filled her once again as she let out a shaking sigh, looking over at her dad. Whilst he wasn’t the most emotional man you’d meet, his eyes had grown gentle.
He had assisted in planning Minji’s and Jaehyun’s weddings – he walked his eldest daughter down the aisle and now he was about to do the same to his youngest one. The entirety of the Han family knew something was missing; someone. Having her around would make the overall wedding the perfect of all weddings.
But alas, there was no way of that. They could only move forward.
The Han girl tried to take a peek into the room but stopped herself, straightening up and looking at her bridesmaids, “Is he there?”
“Not yet,” Helena answered and Sherry joined in.
“He’ll be there any second now, so you can take the time to breathe.”
“If I have more time, I think I’d just chicken out instead.” So Ah mumbled, turning her eyes to her nieces with a smile, “Look at you three, pretty little princesses.”
Yisoo instantly blushed, looking down at herself, “I don’t know… My dress seems off.”
While Yebin was okay with dressing up and being eccentric just like her dad, Yisoo took more of her mother. She kept to herself, enjoyed reading books, and drawing fancy out-of-the-world dresses. She was more on the timid side, preferring to play with her Barbie dolls rather than go to the playground park.
While she was reserved, she was also assertive in a way – that girl could make a PowerPoint about why she deserves an extra cookie before bed. The topic of princess movies was still her top favourite, with her twin sister being into horror movies.
“No way, it’s not!” So Ah gasped, shaking her head before squatting down to be around her height, “Your dress looks perfectly fine!”
She pointed with a pout at Yebin’s dress, “Hers look better.”
“Both of our dresses are the exact same, Yisoo.” Yebin retorted.
So Ah chuckled then gestured to the youngest flower girl, “Look at Chun-Hee. She doesn’t think you look off, do you, Chun-Hee?”
Chun-Hee looked up then at her cousin. She stared at her for a bit and shook her head, “No. I think she looks very pretty.”
Her Korean accent was seeping thicker than the others, still learning English. So Ah looked at Yisoo, “See? And Chun-Hee doesn’t lie.”
“I don’t think she knows what lying is.” Helena muttered to Sherry and ChoHee, earning muffled snorts. So Ah gave her a side glance, furrowing her brows for a second, and then she looked back at the three little girls.
“How about this,” So Ah hummed, “When this is over, you can have my tiara.”
Yisoo’s eyes widened with a gasp, looking at the tiara and then at her, “Really?”
“Mhm! I think it more so belongs on you.” So Ah continued with a gentle smile, “Princess Yisoo.”
Yisoo was speechless, squealing incoherently before latching her arms around her aunt’s neck, “Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
So Ah laughed, hugging her back and pulling away, “After the reception, okay?”
“Okay!”
While Yisoo went to gush to her sister about having a tiara, So Ah reverted her attention to Chun-Hee.
Chun-Hee looked like her mother a lot. Her chubby cheeks were still there but her eyes were definitely Minji’s. The Han girl felt something twinge in the centre of her heart.
“How are you feeling, Chun-Hee?” So Ah switched to her mother tongue.
Chun-Hee blinked then a small smile was on her lips, recognizing the language, “I’m feeling okay.”
“That’s good, to feel okay.” So Ah nodded, unable to stop her eyes from stinging, “And your appa, is he here?”
“Yeah, he’s inside.” Chun-Hee pointed inside the room.
It felt awful talking to her niece, knowing So Ah was the one who witnessed her mother passing. It made her want to apologize profusely more than she did to her father – her brother-in-law.
He didn’t even have the heart to be mad, completely in shock but he still hugged her – and he cried.
It was a horrible couple of months and sometimes, it feels like she had never escaped the atmosphere of the funeral. Everywhere she went, she’d be reminded of Minij’s passing. Minx’s Body was back on its feet, aiming to be better because that was what Minji would’ve wished for it.
Sure, So Ah had taken revenge against her murderer – but at what cost?
“Oh, no,” The bride straightened up, a newfound dread over her wide eyes, “My bouquet.”
“Here,” ChoHee stepped forward with So Ah’s bouquet, “Knew you’d forget it.”
“Thank you.” So Ah giggled a little, taking it with both hands, happy to have something to cling to, and she released a heavy sigh.
Plucking out one of the little lilies, she went back down to her niece’s height with a small smile, “Do you know what’s this flower called; in English?”
Chun-Hee took it into her little hand, a subtle permanent pout on her face, “A… A lily.”
“A lily! Correct!” So Ah beamed, muttering the last bit, “Oh, she would’ve been so proud of you right now.”
Chun-Hee tilted her head to the side, a bit confused as she didn’t pick up most of the words in that sentence. She didn’t question it, letting her aunt take the lily from her hand.
This time, she slid the flower to settle behind her ear.
“Her favourite flower was lilies, your eomma.” So Ah whispered with a smile and tears in her eyes, “It looks beautiful on you.”
Chun-Hee stayed quiet, not knowing what to say. She did look a bit sad when So Ah went back up with an exhale. She bit on her bottom lip tightly, nostrils flaring as she took in a shaky breath before facing her friends and father. Her voice came out heavy, refusing to blink – especially when Michael pulled her close for a side hug.
“Please tell me it’s waterproof mascara.”
Sherry nodded and opened to answer her but ChoHee piped in, having glanced out at the end of the aisle through the pearly white sheer curtains.
“It’s time.” She said, giving the bride a gentle smile, “He’s standing there – do you want to see him?”
So Ah shook her head profusely as Sherry went to the flower girls; mostly to stop the twins from bickering.
“Only fair if it’s the first time we see each other like this.”
Helena clicked her tongue as a caterer was walking by with a tray of spare napkins in one hand and the other hand behind his back.
“You say that as if you’ve never seen him in a tux.” She plucked one out and approached So Ah, “Eyes up.”
So Ah chuckled, doing as told as the DSO agent was carefully dabbing any traces of tears away, “You saw him in a suit too.”
“Yeah,” Helena ticked her head to the side, giving her a tilted smile, “But I can pull it off better.”
“Okay, Miss Harper.” Michael only said, raising his brow at her.
“What? It’s true.” Helena stepped back, feigning offense.
So Ah nodded, looking over at her dad, “It is.”
The music shifted to a gentler one; it was time.
So Ah hurriedly got into position, being the one standing last with Michael. The bridesmaids were in front of her and at the very beginning were the flower girls.
Her heart was beating erratically behind her ribs, her nails digging into the paper and fabric holding her bouquet altogether. Her hand went around her father’s arm a little too tightly, and he noticed it.
This was it – the peak of any wedding. Walking down the aisle.
Michael looked down at her, noticing the batch of flowers was trembling just like the hand holding it. Her eyes were set on Yebin, Yisoo, and Chu-Hee when they went first, starting to scatter the petals down the aisle.
“It’ll be okay, So Ah.” He reassured her, setting his hand over hers to ease her grip, “Try to relax.”
“What if I trip?” So Ah muttered anxiously, “These heels are awful. Can’t I take them off?”
“Ah, it’s best you don't,” He looked back ahead, “Your mother would never let me hear the end of it.”
“Appa…” So Ah trailed her eyes up to him, utterly uneasy, “Where am I supposed to look?”
“At him, of course.” He answered when the bridesmaids got into position behind one another and they went into the room, “Imagine it’s just you and him in the room.”
Taking in a deep breath, she held it for a few seconds before releasing it and pulling her veil down. The day she had been dreaming of since she was a little girl was finally here – and man, was it stressful.
And for once, she welcomed the squirming butterflies in her stomach – she only wished they didn’t make her feel so sick.
Michael and she moved to stand right behind the open curtains – and they walked out.
The lights had dimmed down, leaving the soft golden glow of the candles on the tables and the little ambient lights to illuminate the whole wide room. Every inch of the venue oozed with romance – a fairytale romance. She knew it was far from such, though.
The two long tables stretched out on the opposite sides of the aisle – those were reserved for close family members. There were several more tables behind them and close to the wall for the friends or distant families of the couple.
The candlesticks were golden, matching well with little cups with scented candles. Not to mention, the pink roses on each table along with plates and utensils. There were assorted flowers almost in every corner – that was her idea.
The music though – that was all him; and man, did that surprise her.
It was an outdoor wedding brought indoors with immersive screens on the walls showcasing shifting gradient colours and floating flower petals.
Right in the centre was, of course, the white and long aisle. The flower girls had tossed their petals chaotically but it fitted the theme. At the end of the aisle was the beautifully designed cake, the dance floor, more vines and flowers and obviously – the groom himself.
The aisle lit up once So Ah stood at the start of it, revealing herself to every single standing guest. She instantly froze when faint gasps reached her ears. She could sense all three hundred pairs of eyes on her – it made her want to recoil back into her room and never come out.
Michael subtly tugged her forward as her eyes kept darting anywhere and everywhere. Her footsteps were hesitant and the grip on his arm tightened once again, almost crinkling his suit. He leaned down a little to whisper.
“Look at him, lotus.”
She did and immediately the world around her disappeared. Leon couldn’t stop grinning at the sight of her, unable to blink. He didn’t want to.
The off-shoulder sweetheart gown she wore was of palepale rose gold with a dazzling design all over. It hugged her torso as if it belonged to her and her only, the tail of it longlong behind her. Her pearly necklace enunciated her collarbones and made her look radiant.
Her hair was up in an elegant bun of braids with dangling strands on and about. The rose gold tiara she wore matched her engagement ring, embedded with diamonds all over with the shape of two leaves and a petal in the middle crowning it.
And through the veil, Leon knew she was just as breathtaking.
To her, she couldn’t look anywhere anymore. Sure, she had seen him in suits but something about this tux was sending her brain reeling with emotions. It was your usual black and white suit, if not leaning towards dark blue. His hair was done too with one side of his bangs swooped back, minus the smaller stubborn fringes.
Close to him were Chris as his best man, Jaehyun, and Patrick as his groomsman.
So Ah really didn’t want to cry, but her cinnamons only teared up when Leon’s blueblue eyes glistened under the soft lights.
Thank god for waterproof mascara.

actually had a big brain idea while overhauling my oc boards on pinterest earlier
but
I don’t actually keep up with evie in her detective-y IFs anymore. so there’s nothing stopping me from shoving her into RE as an ex-private investigator now working with BSAA. and letting her be with jill.
#and lets her background remain the same so she’s still the same Developed Character (tm)#but now in a similar ish vibe new setting and get a badass gf <:#dani.txt#oc: evie thierry

New Chris Redfield X OC Fic
Hey, y'all! I'm back to writing this month! I decided to bite the bullet and create an OC fic. It was intended to be my usual Chris Redfield X reader fic, but the OC seemed to fit in better with the storyline. It was written with the full intention of the Reader being able to imagine themselves as the love interest, but I just added more details for the character's development. I hope y'all enjoy!
When it's Over
Chapter 1: Saints & Sinners
The heavy noise of the helicopter blades roared in her ears. Her team was on the way to Dulvey, Louisiana to assist in apprehending the Bio-terrorist, Lucas Baker.
They had already sent in some Blue Umbrella & BSAA agents to unsuccessfully subdue Baker. Her team was sent in to find the missing soldiers and to rescue Ethan Winters.
The aircraft was completely silent on the ride over. She took the time to say a quiet prayer, not just for herself, but the others too.
She would be lying if she didn’t admit to being terrified, this was her first big mission as a major player. Usually, she would be on the sidelines waiting to collect the data from the neutralized sites or taking care of the wounded.
This would be the first time she would be in the action as it was happening. She wondered how desperate they would be to send someone like her to the forefront.
She was snapped out of her thoughts when Captain Redfield yelled for everyone’s attention.
“We’re encountering a serious bio-terrorist here, our main goal is to neutralize Lucas Baker, but we’ve lost comms with some of our best down there. If you see anybody down there, try to get them to safety.”
She gulped. The best had been lost down there. What was she considered?
She was preparing to mentally distance herself from the whole situation when Captain Redfield sat down next to her.
“You good, Connolly?” he said sensing her insecurity.
“Damn him,” she thought. Of course, he knew how to spot hesitation, that's how people get killed.
“I’m just mentally preparing is all.” She was honest.
This job wasn’t easy or for the faint of heart.
She was self-admittedly sensitive, but she did have balls of steel. The only way she knew how to survive was to separate herself mentally and convince herself it wasn’t real.
Sure, it wasn’t a great way to get along, but it kept her alive.
“What are you holding?” he asked curiously.
This was her first time working with Captain Redfield. She assumed he was trying to get to know her, so he could at least tell her family something at her funeral.
Don’t think like that Anna.
“It’s my pendant of St. Barbara,” she told him, holding up the pendant so he could see the details.
“St. Barbara?” he asked, semi-confused.
“I’m guessing you didn’t grow up Catholic, Captain.” She laughed light-heartedly.
He returned her smile.
“You got me, I don’t put much worth into religion these days,” Chris said readjusting himself in his seat.
“I can’t blame you, it’s hard to have faith some days.”
Chris let out a sarcastic laugh.
“She’s the Patron Saint of those who work with explosives or those who face sudden and violent deaths on the job. Pretty fitting for our line of duty, huh?”
Chris was silent.
“My sister gave me this pendant after finishing basic training for the BSAA; even though my family begged me not to join but I felt called to.” She said.
“I understand what that’s like.” He said.
Anna thought for a minute and placed the pendant in Redfield’s gloved hand.
“You should take it, I think it’ll do you some good to have it on you,” she said with a smile. “We are hunting for this sicko in an abandoned salt mine.”
“Are you sure? Your sister gave this to you, Connolly.” He said through a furrowed brow.
“She’ll have plenty of time to give me another one. She’ll be thankful I gave it to you.” She said assuringly.
She was thankful Captain Redfield decided to speak with her, She felt more confident now than she did before.
Chris nodded and placed the pendant into one of his tactical pockets. The gesture filled him with a warmth he hadn’t experienced in a long time.
Damn, she was kind.
“Thanks, Connolly.” he managed out.
Before she could respond, the speaker of the aircraft crackled to life.
“We’re about to land, get ready to deploy troops.”
Chris sat up quickly, “All right you heard him.”
Anna inhaled deeply when the aircraft carrier doors opened and the other troops slid down without hesitation.
“Ladies first,” Captain Redfield said to her. She must have been hesitating more than she thought.
Anna slid down and was relieved when she quickly felt the ground under her heavy boots.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
They had been in the mine for not even 15 minutes when the horrors began.
She and Captain Redfield had encountered the first missing soldier together. He tried to warn them, to let him die; but that's when the supposedly “deceased” soldier sprung up from the floor.
“Gotcha!”
It was Lucas Fucking Baker. He had strapped a bomb to your Captain’s wrist and Chris pushed Anna back to try to get her away.
Anna unconsciously let out a yelp as her back collided with the ground.
Anna tried to get back to her feet and shoot Lucas, but she didn’t have a clear enough shot.
It wouldn’t have mattered anyway.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you, sweetie,” he said with a disgusting emphasis on the last part.
The way he addressed her made her feel sick; like she wanted to set her clothes on fire.
“My hand might just Slip!” and with that, the soldier’s head exploded.
She was so detached from the situation, she thought it was someone else who screamed “NO!”
She felt her legs start to buckle, but she knew this was only the beginning, and that she had to nut up if she had any chance of surviving the mine.
“You better go get that bomb off your wrist Redfield, wouldn’t want to leave your lady friend down here alone with me.” Lucas sneered “Actually, maybe you should. I bet y’all keep her in great shape, she could take a couple of rounds before I kill her.”
She wanted to vomit.
“Shut the fuck up, Lucas!” Redfield roared.
“I’d love to stay and make you watch Christopher, but I have some business to deal with. Y’all better head back up if you know what’s good for you.” with that, he shut the door behind him as the room released E-type spores.
“Shit,” Chris said as their ventilators switched on.
Anna looked at him. “He’s right, we have to get that off of you, It looks different from the one who killed our comrade though. I think it has a timer that hasn’t been activated yet.”
“How can you tell?”
“If he really wanted us dead just now, he would have killed us. He’s getting greedy and that’s when these guys fuck up.” Anna reasoned.
“I guess you’re right, but it still doesn’t mean he can’t detonate it at any time he wants, we’ll proceed with caution.”
That's when their comms unit crackled to life. “You two can’t be serious. We have to get that off of you, Redfield.” HQ scolded them.
“The only reason we’re down here is that the BSAA seems to be convinced you are the good guys. Do you really want us to pull out now when we’re so close to apprehending Baker? Not a chance in hell.” Chris said sternly into the Mic.
HQ sighed. “We’ll talk more when you get back to base, Captain Redfield. Just stay focused on the mission ahead.”
Anna could hear the smirk in Captain Redfield’s voice when he answered with a “Yes Ma’am.”

Mun is 20+. No minors.
I'm non-selective. I'm down to RP with anyone, so don't be afraid to drop into my inbox/tag me in stuff! My style can sometimes lean a bit towards the lengthier side, but I don't expect anyone to try and match that.
I don't RP outside of the Resident Evil universe. I'm up for anything within it, though! I enjoy the games, the comics, the novels, etc. alongside the Anderson flicks.
I'm OC & AU friendly. I love to hear about 'em, too, so please share with me!
I multiship, so I'm open to pairing the Rains with various characters. Lemme know if you're interested in shipping.
I like having multiple threads. If you want to start a new thread with me while we already have another going, feel free!
I don't have any exclusives. If you see me already RPing with somebody who has the same muse as you, that doesn't mean that I'm not interested in interacting with you.
You'll find blood, gore, & violence here, so be warned. It appears both in my writing and occasionally in my icons or reblogs.
I don't write smut. My ace ass simply can't <3
Although I also write for the Rain clones, I always default to the OG Rain when replying. So if you'd like to interact with Good or Bad Rain, please specify!
There might be times when I'm slow at replying. I promise I'm not ignoring you. I've just got other stuff going on too, y'know? And on that note, I don't expect fast replies from anyone. Take your time!
Non-RP blogs can follow me. You guys can send asks and I'll respond IC, but I won't turn them into threads. Everyone is free to like my posts, to reblog GIFs/images I reblog, etc. All I ask is that you don't reblog threads if you aren't a part of them.
Also on @crashandswirl (multi-muse) & @roleplay-evil (starters).
If you have any questions or anything, feel free to ask!

Rain comes from the 2002 film, Resident Evil. Alongside it and various headcanons, my interpretation of her is loosely based on the novelization, Resident Evil: Genesis. (I do have a lot of problems with that book and how she was written in it, though). The clones come from Resident Evil: Retribution and take loose elements from the novelization of the same name.
Name: Rain Melendez Ocampo [extended info sheet/verses here]
Eyes: Dark brown. However, I do occasionally make them partially light blue after infection.
Hair: Dark brown
Pronouns: She/her
Age: Dependent on verse.
In the movieverse, twenty-three at the time of the Hive Incident in 2002.
Also in the movieverse, her late twenties to early thirties in Extinction through to The Final Chapter, which ends in 2012.
In the game verse, her early twenties during the time of the Raccoon City Incident in 1998.
Height: 5'4"/163 cm
Sexual/Romantic orientation: Homosexual/homoromantic
Occupation:
Former LAPD police officer.
Paramilitary commando for the Umbrella Corporation. U.S.S. (Umbrella Security Service).
After Apocalypse, working to screw over her last employer and aid survivors.
In the gamverse, after Raccoon City, a BSAA soldier.
Personality: Rain is tough, intimidating, prideful, and full of tenacity. But beneath that rough exterior is a caring person looking to do good and help others. If sacrificing/putting herself at risk means saving someone, Rain isn't likely to hesitate.
She's fiercely loyal and protective toward friends, none of whom are safe from her ribbing or attempts to rough around.
Often, Rain comes off as crude and/or blunt since she isn't very careful with her words. If she has an opinion, she probably won't refrain from telling you. Vulnerability, however, isn't something that comes easily to her. She tends to simply close herself off with an "I'm fine."
You might find that she has a slight temper... Perhaps more than slight. Most call it hair-trigger. Her anger usually comes and goes in quick bursts.
Rain was heavily infected by the T-virus and received a dose of the antivirus when it should've been far too late. She should've died. Instead, she woke up sometime later in an empty hospital, having been put under quarantine and subject to various tests. She left, unsure of what exactly happened to her.
Name: Rain Melendez - AKA "Bad Rain" [extended info sheet/verses here]
Eyes: Dark brown. There's a faint red haze when her retinal implants are in use.
Hair: Dark brown
Pronouns: She/her
Age: Dependent on the verse.
In the Anderson flicks, in her twenty-three during Retribution, which takes place in 2012.
In the game universe, she'd realistically be alive sometime between the Raccoon City Incident in 1998 and Umbrella's end in 2004, during which she'd be in her early to mid-twenties. She could survive past that, though.
Height: 5'4"/163 cm
Sexual/Romantic orientation: Homosexual/homoromantic
Occupation: Security operative for the Umbrella Corporation. U.S.S. (Umbrella Security Service).
Personality: Rain is programmed to be ruthless, tough, and intimidating. She's cold, blunt, and matter-of-fact, typically to the point of heartlessness. Her care for others is incredibly minimal, and most of her loyalty lies where it was programmed to be.
When she's given orders, Rain follows them without question or hesitation. Vulnerability and weakness are something she very scarcely allows herself to show.
She's stubborn, being somebody who fights until her absolute last breath. There's also a fair amount of cockiness in her.
While not impossible to form a bond with her, it certainly isn't easy. If her programming breaks, she becomes much more like the Rain she was cloned from, but still far less selfless.
Rain is a clone manufactured by the Umbrella Corporation. She was created to protect one of their testing facilities. More specifically, Umbrella Prime, which is located underwater in Kamchatka, Russia.
Name: Rain Ocampo - AKA "Good Rain" [extended info sheet/verses here]
Eyes: Dark brown
Hair: Dark brown
Pronouns: She/her
Age: Dependent on the verse.
In the Anderson flicks, in her twenty-three during Retribution, which takes place in 2012.
In the game universe, she'd realistically be alive sometime between the Raccoon City Incident in 1998 and Umbrella's end in 2004, during which she would be in her early to mid-twenties. She could survive past that, though.
Height: 5'4"/163 cm
Sexual/Romantic orientation: Homosexual/homoromantic
Occupation:
(Programmed to believe she is an) environmental activist.
(Programmed to believe she is a) recycling worker.
In the game universe, after leaving Umbrella Prime, a member of TerrSave.
Personality: First and foremost, Rain is good-natured. She's always looking to do the right thing, help others, and stand up for what she believes in.
Although she prefers non-violence as a solution to problems, when it comes down to the wire, Rain will do what it takes to help somebody in danger. There's definitely a protective side to her. She's a quick learner and brave.
Most people would probably describe her as an ever so slightly awkward, quirky character. Often, she's somebody who will speak without thinking her words through.
Rain is a clone manufactured by the Umbrella Corporation. She was created as a civilian to be placed into a test simulation to demonstrate the capabilities of Umbrella's bioweapons. However, rather than dying like she was meant to, she survived the simulation.

i need to write my Resident Evil oc lore somewhere so i think i will do it here, hooray.
Evelynn Jewels. Bloodtype A, ex-Umbrella. Born 1974. Between RE0, 1, 2, and 3. (1998) > Joined Umbrella in 1994 as a 20 year-old aspiring to kill viruses, diseases, and cancers. She thought that the reason Umbrella made viruses was to learn to kill them, she was dead wrong. > After only working for two years she quit on "good terms" and was not suspected to be a threat to getting their secret out, and they (Umbrella) would be somewhat right because Anne was scared. > Shortly after, to keep a job, she joined the RPD. After a bit of time she was put together with 3 other officers, given the name "Team Omega." > This small team investigates smaller scenarios and could be deemed a "clean-up crew." With Anne's background, she is dispatched as a field-medic and a researcher. > Being under the RPD and another BSAA team, she interacts with other agents of similar field. > She and her team were not dispatched to Arklay Mountains. > After the Mansion incident she felt vile and disgusted. She grew heavily paranoid and quit the RPD before everything went to shit in September. Though, later, she felt guilty for leaving behind her friends because of her fears. She wants to do them right. 1998-2004 > This is still a work in progress but I want to think that after she ran away, the Government found her and made her work for them, both because of her background on Umbrella and once being close to the S.T.A.R.S team. > During this time, being separated from everyone, she is doing her own investigations with the remaining Omega member, her cousin (who has no name yet, clearly...) > Her investigations lead her and her cousin to a location in Greenland. This location is a small sea-side village, but it appears to be abandoned. > In one of the buildings it has a secret entrance to the Labratory underneath. Because of the climate and the discreet location, there are a multitude of viruses and diseases and parasites frozen away underground in typical Umbrella fashion. > will think of the rest later...

I NEED more fics with dad!chris redfield :3
YES! THANK YOU ANONYMOUS 😗 *muah!*, here is more of dad!Chris with mom!Jill. Also I'm gonna do more content like this, so you can ask for more if you want :3
WARNINGS: Daughter!OC included (Ana Valentine Redfield), it'll pass on the events of Resident Evil: Death Island, Piers Nivans is mentioned.
“Guess the aiming training was worth it!”
Ana started her rifle training when she met Piers Nivans, he was going to visit her father because of work, and then he met a 9-year-old Ana. It didn't take long until the two of them became friends.
Chris noticed that Piers was great with kids so he trusted him to train Ana in some aiming skills. Piers was a very good sniper of the BSAA team, he trained Ana with the use of the rifle.
The saddest part is when Piers was considered dead, he dies to save Ana’s father on a final mission, but she didn't stop training her aiming skills, she asked kindly to her mother to train her to how to use a handgun just in case of very risky situations. Surprisingly, Jill accepted.
The year now is 2015, Ana got a visit from auntie Claire and she couldn't not notice her parents putting on their casual clothing like they are going on vacation.
"wait-- where are you two going?" Ana asks "you look like you're on a vacation"
Jill looked at Chris and he nods as in the form of confirmation.
"we are going on a mission" Jill answered
"but without your gear?" Ana asked more confused
Jill and Chris showed their handguns which were below their jackets. Ana glared at them like 'are you going to have fun without me?'. Chris scoffed and smirked.
"We are going to Alcatraz to investigate the reason of people getting infected" Chris said
The teen gasps, "noooo way! I've always wanted to visit that prison. Can I go with you? Please please pleaseee? I know how to take care of myself" Ana pleads
The couple gasps and their eyes widen
"No Ana! It's too dangerous for you, we don't even know how those people are getting infected." Jill answered worriedly
"she is right, Ana. You're still not ready" Chris approaches and pats Ana's shoulder. "We love you, Ana. We just don't want to lose you"
The three of them hugged each other and the couple said goodbye to their daughter. She stayed there for 5 minutes and thought.
"Ah no way I'm letting them have fun without me" Ana diabolically played with her hands and decided to get dressed.
TIMESKIP (RE: Death Island spoilers ahead)
After the zombies attack, the revelation of Dylan Blake and Rebecca curing Leon, Chris e Claire, all of them got reunited with Jill to defeat the now transformed villain. They started to use their weapons, but it was no use.
The five of them dodged the monster's claw, but he knocked down Rebecca and Claire. And suddenly a shot could be heard and then a crane hook hit right on Dylan's head, deep inside. The couple and Leon, Claire e Rebecca looked up and saw Ana holding a rifle, the smoke getting out of the cane because of the shot.
Claire and Rebecca smiled while Jill and Chris are surprised and confused to see their daughter at Alcatraz.
"Jill, please tell me that I'm still infected at the point of seeing our daughter here" Chris asked trying not to be angry and yell
"nope, she's here" Jill answered also feeling angry, "ANA!! HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET HERE? WE TOLD YOU TO STAY AT HOME!"
"I thought you guys could use one more help, so I came by my own" Ana answers while holds the rifle
"ohh you two have a daughter? Very cool..." Leon interrupts the family moment
The monster growled stealing the attention of the adults and the teenager, he pulled the hook, making part of the crane fall and almost hit on her parents, scaring Ana.
"MOM! DAD! ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!" Ana yelled worriedly
"we are fine, sweetie! Find a place and hide!!" Jill commands in her motherly way and ran to get the machine gun
"AND YOU'RE GROUNDED!!" Chris yelled angrily at Ana, making her jaw drop for some seconds, but she went back to normal
Ana saw her family trying to use their rocket launchers on the monster, but it was no use too. She decided to get the grenade on the floor, take off it's ring and throw at the monster, she used her rifle to shoot on the grenade, and it exploded on the monster's face and yet... it was no use, the creature got blinded by the smoke of the explosion that he used on of his paws to hit blindly.
He hit on the metal bridge where Ana was standing, the teen tried to scape but she fell of the bridge, falling on the hard floor. Jill, Chris and Claire ran towards Ana.
"ANA!!" Claire yelled her niece's name
Chris grabbed Ana's shoulders "are you okay? Are you hurt?"
"damn it-- I thought it would work" Ana said with pain
"but you did good, daughter. You bought us more time" Chris said to Ana
Ana chuckles, "well, guess the aiming training was worth it!”
"stay with your aunt and Rebecca, me and your father will handle this creature" Jill helped Ana to get up, and Ana nods.
ANOTHER TIMESKIP, AFTER THE BATTLE
After the battle, the group walked outside of the prison waiting for the helicopters to arrive, meanwhile, Jill crossed her arms and looked at Ana, who just avoided her gaze.
"okay, young lady. We've got a doggone question for you" Jill says in a very motherly tone "How did you get here?"
"well uhm-- let's say that I took a bus to get to the boat checkpoint. I used the same boat as you when you were coming here. And I stayed hidden until the battle"
Leon and Claire chuckles and he messed Ana's hair.
"you're still grounded" Chris said
"I know" Ana responds while fixing her hair
The group smiled until they saw the helicopters arriving to the island. The family Redfield always stick together even in the most dangerous moments.

Don't Let Me Go (Part 1)
Words: 2664
Warnings: language, talk of alcohol/alcohol consumption, regret, Leon being a dick but for a kinda good reason, maybe ooc characters and probably bad writing
This is it in one part form
Reader and Leon are partners with their job (have been since 2004/2005) and is insinuated to be around the same height as Leon

Ok, I'm in an RE mood, so 💤 💡 ⏳ & 📎 for Thalia, pls? 😊 - Crowie
Hi Crowie, my dear! *hugs*
Thanks for the ask! Lemme go and answer your questions for Madame Thériaud!
💤 SLEEPING - do they fall asleep easily? what helps them sleep?
Even after a full day of work, Thalia does have a hard time falling asleep. Her brain just cannot switch off, and despite promising herself not to think about work or anything related to it, she often finds herself wandering off, replaying her whole day to analyze if things could have been done/could have gone differently. One thing that helps her fall asleep is drinking a good glass of wine at dinner and then a strong herbal tea (chamomile and valerian and verbena usually do the trick). Another thing that DOES help her fall asleep is being in Chris' arms. Just laying against his chest, with him caressing her brow or her hair is enough to lull her to sleep.
💡 LIGHTBULB - is your oc a planner? do they write down every small detail or just wing it?
PLANNER. Dude, my girl has a schedule so tightly packed, she spends every free minute she has trying to juggle between meetings, inspections, and whatnot. She has an Executive Assistant that does help her, but my girl Thalia prefers to do things herself, though Pauline (this is her assistant's name) truly does her best to make things easier for that workaholic of a brainchild that I have. Thalia truly does not like to improvise.
⏳ HOURGLASS - are they usually late or on-time?
Thalia is often early. Doesn't matter what or where and when, she would be between 10 to 5 minutes early, ESPECIALLY when it comes to inspections in the Core Labs and whatnot. She takes her work extremely seriously, so no way in hell she would ever be late.
📎 PAPERCLIP - a random fact.
Thalia is EXTREMELY private about her own relationship with Chris, and because of this and her own personality, it's highly unlikely she would lower her "professional mask", while at work (and Gods only know the times Chris has stolen kisses from her in the corridors of the BSAA, knowing FULLY WELL that she would both get flustered AND pissed because CHRIS, WE WORK HERE, NOM DE DIEU.) Nevertheless, there had been times when she has taken him by surprise and dragged him into her office, to get back at him. She is still wondering how he managed to explain to his superior how the heck he managed to get all those hickeys on his neck.
thanks for the ask, my dear, I had fun answering it! :D
