I've been a little MIA lately with my own medical stuff happening but I really am happy to share my top 5 favorite fics I've written!

I have written for a few different kpop groups. However 4 of my top 5 fav fics I've written have been for Stray Kids

Park Guell - This Jacob fic is actually based on my time at Park Guell in Barcelona. I don't have the cute relationship I wrote about. However I did have a cute little boy who I chatted with for about twenty minutes. So this fic was based on that interaction, and how I wish someone would look at me in that situation. This fic makes me happy and fit Jacob so well.

Hoplessly Devoted - this Han fic was such a silly one to write. I felt like crap when I wrote it. I started writing it because I needed a distraction. I'm glad I did write it, a lot of people enjoyed it.

Masquerade - I had never written a soul mate au before. I am very proud of this work. The world I created in this fic made me happy. I like the concept of it being your eyes that change, so i wrote it. Hyunjin worked so well to lead into this world, I'm excited for the next one (which is in the works).

Invisible - This Lee Know story actually started off as a Bang Chan story. However the characters quickly made that change for me. I really love this story how it played out. I also LOVE Halloween so I took lore from D&D, Supernatural, and many other 'creepy' things and combined them in this story.

Knights Tale: The Nature worker - This is the fic I believe I am most proud of. I put in a lot of effort into this one, sadly it has gotten very little love. Maybe it's the length? Anyways this story was always meant for Changbin. I always have pictured him to be a wonderful knight. In fact this is a world I hope to expand in as well. The other stories will follow the other skz Knights and nobles. I just haven't gotten to writing them yet.

I found more stairs while on my trip.

It was amazing "unplugging" for a week. (I still had my phone though it was just a fancy camera for that week).

I'll be honest I didn't write, none of the docs nor music worked on my phone like they said they would.

So I colored, and I read so many books! I read 4/5books (one of which was 5 stories in one). All of which had 300+ books except for one about Felix the dancing spider that was a children's book yet it was entertaining nonetheless.

I have ideas for stories. I have found I need to reorder some of my WIPs because they needed some changes.

Anyways I have returned.

4. what is your favorite genre/trope of fanfic to read?

i really love marriage of convenience/forbidden love/enemies to lovers AND fake dating (no. 1). i am a thorough angst enjoyer 😔

15. ocs vs. reader: which do you choose to read/write and why?

for kpop, i prefer reader but for any other fandom, ocs! for other fandoms, i really love creating my own characters, giving them personalities, having them interact with my favorite characters and sometimes fix plot twists that i didn't really like. it's like a way of training to create my own characters in my own books! for kpop, i mainly chose reader because that's what gets the most interaction on tumblr. i do have a hjs oc fic but i know no ones going to want to read it, so i just let it rot in my word docs lol 😭

19. do you have a favorite pairing that you have written or have read? who are they?

i love 3racha fics (are we surprised? no.) which is sad because there's very less 3racha fics/series here (that i know of). which is why i started writing the sea of monsters, because if you can't find it, write it 🙂‍↕️

22. what is a line from a fanfic you have read that has stuck with you?

He was yours and he still didn’t know if you were his. But at least for now, he could pretend. — rule-breaker : hjs by @mxxndreams . definitely one of my top series of this year, i loved it sm. it had everything i love- fake dating, contract, angst ANGST!! and so much fluff it's so CUTE

How do you find the motivation to write and continue with your studies? I don't even have motivation for the study part 😂

I don't, that's the secret UHSAUHSAUHSAHUSUHAHUASHUSAHUUHSA That's why I've not been writing for the last months and had uploaded like 3 chapters of something SAHUSAUHSUHAUHSAUHSAUHSAUHSHA

Sometimes, I'm inspired to try and write something, and when I have the time [which is every red blood moon], I try to do it. For Seven Deadly Sins, I actually had started it before I got to work, so I had a lot of the first chapter and the 2nd. I just had to rewrite everything cuz it sucked UHSAUHSAUHSAUHUHSAHUSA But I had the skeleton.

Apart from that, I think I only wrote sunshine this year?

So yeah SUHAUHSAUHSAUHSHUA We're in the same club

It’s set in a Heroes! AU and you may be able to spot a vigilante/villain Felix patrolling in there with his glowing freckles. Also some villainous apprances from Hyunjin and Chan as well😉

honestly, this fic is a fic to remember. the angst… the insecurity… the uncertainty… it was all narrated so well! i loved the way the story progressed and how at the first read, you read through the perspective of the MC and then when you read again, you realise how the MC had indeed misunderstood a great number of details that led to a small argument. i just… i don’t know. it’s so beautifully written. i remember crying as i read it because i could feel for the mc and the fluff at the end just– ugh it was the icing on the cake 🥰

bruhhh THIS!! oh gosh i usually don’t like cheating stories but this one reeled me in and i was SO invested and also low-key rooting for jae to fix things with his wife. it’s this… heartbreaking reality of the world where sometimes leaving your partner isn’t as simple. especially when you’re in love. and as much as i don’t like cheating… this particular story made me really want the husband to change for the better and prove himself worthy. i cried with the characters, laughed with them, smiled with them, got angry with them… it’s so immersive.

A little (not really) message to conclude 2021

First of all, it’s been quite a hectic year, yeah?

Honestly, the start of the year is still kinda blurry for me (including my bday) — But there’s one thing I remember clearly. Starting this blog.

In a week, I’ll be celebrating my first year anniversary of this blog. Honestly, it feels like yesterday. I can’t believe that it’ll soon be one year of crispy-chan 😭 Over the course of these 12 months, I’ve made so many incredible friends here.

To everyone who ever commented, reblogged, or left an ask, thank you! It means the world to me. It truly does.

Writing has become something special for me. I’m not a particularly creative person and I don’t really have any talent or hobbies so the fact that I have this safe little corner, this haven where I can create stuff for you and be proud of it, where I can receive feedback, it truly made my life better. I wasn’t doing too well before (during quarantine) and I was in a pretty rough spot, so the realization that I could create content for my favorite group(s) meant a lot.

Now, I know that my blog has been pretty dry for the past couple of months, but I promise that I have things in the works. There are so many things I want to write for you guys, so so much (about 17 doc pages full of fic ideas) and I hope I’ll be able to do so next year.

I hope that my journey will last a lot longer than one year… perhaps two, three, or maybe even four ❣️

Anyways, I’d like to thank my moots — you guys have been so great to me. I’ve made so many great friends over tumbleweed and you’re all amazing people. I can’t believe that some of you, I used to (and still) admire from the shadows, thinking that I’d never get to talk to you. But as crazy as it sounds, some of you are now my moots and we talk, joke around and laugh together.

I’m simultaneously scared and excited for 2022. it feels almost surreal that today is the last day of the year… I’m so excited for all the amazing things stray kids will do next year — I feel so grateful that I get to call myself a STAY along with many other amazing people.

Even though we may live on opposite ends of the world, there’s one thing that connects us all. And that’s honestly the beauty of music. Fuck, I must sound really lame and sappy here so excuse that 😭

Anyways, I wanted to thank you all. You’ve been so good to me for the past year and you allowed me to feel like I belong, something for which I’m really grateful.

May 2022 be filled with happiness and joy 🎉

Overdrive | Bang Chan

⥃Stray Kids Masterlist

Pairing ➳ Slight Baker! Bang Chan X Gender Neutral Reader.

Warnings ➳ Mention of Alcohol (though both Chan and the Reader are not explicitly mentioned to have drunk any) Slight hyperventilation/panic, Reader has a few thoughts of low self esteem.

Synopsis ➳ Chan was just supposed to deliver four boxes of cupcakes to a frat house on New Year's Eve, surely nothing would go terribly wrong… right?

A/N ➳ This fic is dedicated especially to @mxxndreams (SURPRISE!) on behalf of the @districtninewriters Winter Fic Exchange Event. I apologise for not interacting much with you during the writing process but I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

I also tried my best to make this fic a gender-neutral one so if you spot any mistakes/indication of gender please don't hesitate to inform me <3

The car engine idled to a stop as multiple people turned to look at the newest guest who had arrived at the bustling party. Cheers and loud greetings followed him as more and more people recognised his familiar face, walking over to meet him.

“Chan! Too busy to come party?” One of the guests called out cheerfully, speech lightly slurred from what he suspected was alcohol.

“I'm afraid so, I only came here to drop these boxes off for Hyunjin. Speaking of, where is he?” Chan frowned as he failed to spot the raven-haired man in the bustling crowd.

“Must be inside, I must say he's quite caught up in the 'hosting' part of it all. I don't think he'd be coming out anytime soon.” One of the other guests nodded towards the house practically booming with music before going back to chatting within the group he was with.

Chan cringed at the thought of pushing through a crowd of sweaty people in a house practically vibrating with the volume of the music just to deliver four boxes of cupcakes.

However, as if the situation were contradicting his thoughts, the music booming inside the house instantaneously reduced, previously vibrating ground coming to a sudden stillness. Shouts carried over the crowd in the sudden placidity of the night as people parted from the driveway of the house in a line as someone bolted out, running as gleaming tears streamed down the corners of their eyes.

They were barreling straight toward him.

“Whoa-“ He started, but was interrupted as soon as they pulled open the car door and wedged themselves in, stunning him into silence.

“Hello, I don’t know you and you probably hate me for literally barging into your life but can you please drive me away from here before I have a complete breakdown?” You rambled away, almost hyperventilating.

“Whoa, whoa, hey calm down! Let’s get you out of here.” Chan started the engine and stepped on the gas immediately, swivelling into the road and driving away from the house as the guests simply stared after them.

For the next thirty minutes, all Chan could do was drive as far as he possibly could from the rich district and into the motorway, speeding into the night all while his phone rang with at least fifteen missed calls from Felix, presumably asking him if he’d delivered the cupcakes.

All while a mysterious person sat sniffling on the passenger seat of his car.

“Aren’t you going to answer that?” You finally broke the silence as Chan’s phone lit up yet again.

“I’d rather not unless you plan on going back,” He cringed, silencing it with one hand while the other stayed firmly on the steering wheel.

“Not really, no,” You replied, your voice cracking.

“Are you okay-?” Chan started but turned to silence when he realised it wasn’t the best question he could’ve asked. To counter his actions, he pulled into the side of the road and let the engine sit idle to give him some ease as he tried to talk to you.

“Yeah I just realised running into a random stranger’s car and letting him drive me into an isolated road isn’t one of my best-taken decisions,” You admitted awkwardly, scratching your neck in embarrassment.

“Oh… OH, THIS IS NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE I SWEAR!” Chan’s volume increased drastically which caused you to cringe which in turn sent him into yet another fit of panic.

“Oh my god no I’m so sorry I didn’t mean to scare you but like I swear I’m not gonna do anything to you it’s just that you told me to drive you away from the house but I didn’t know your address so I just kind of meaninglessly drove-” He rambled on and on, hands flailing about as his eyes grew as wide as saucers.

You couldn’t help but giggle at his flustered state, but you were too late to stop a fresh wave of sobs from tumbling out of your mouth as the cold, biting wind whipped through the open-roofed car.

Chan watched in stunned silence as your body wracked itself with sobs, tears gleaming under the moonlight as they ran down your cheek.

In one last, feeble attempt to redeem himself, he mumbled something about getting out of the car, something which you definitely hadn’t heard, before he leapt out and strode straight toward the trunk, opening it with one swift click.

He took out a giant, fluffy blanket.

Swiftly closing the trunk and returning to the front of the car, he opened the door to the passenger side and knelt down, sitting face-to-face with you.

“Do you mind if I drape this over you?” He asked as he looked over your shivering and shaking form.

You simply nodded in consent.

He unfolded the large, fluffy mass of cloth and engulfed you in it completely, shielding you away from the cold, heavy wind and welcoming you in the calming warmth.

As he returned to his seat and turned on the radio to the lowest volume, your sobs died out into sniffles and occasional hiccups as your body calmed down from the second breakdown of the night.

“What a way to spend New Year's Eve, am I right? In a stranger’s car having a breakdown in front of someone you met and practically threatened barely thirty minutes ago,” You sputtered, chuckling in self-disdain.

“Hey, at least you can tell people you had the breakdown of the year,” He joked awkwardly but failed to make you laugh yet again.

“I’m sorry for all of this. I’m so dumb to pull you into this,”

“Don’t apologise for something that’s not your fault at all,”

“But it is. Everything always is,”

“Hey, look at me.” He inched closer but didn’t dare to initiate any contact in case you were uncomfortable.

You stared deep into his starlit orbs, blown away yet transfixed at their intensity.

“The universe has strange ways of bringing people together. This is just a strange way of the universe saying hey, you should make a new friend this year, why not start now? So don’t, and never blame yourself for inconveniencing people because it’s the last thing I’m feeling right now,”

“You give a very convincing argument,”

“I guess I am a very convincing person-?” He admitted, albeit confused.

The gentle buzz of the music in the radio came to a rolling stop as the host took over, starting the countdown for New Year's.

“Can I hug you?” You blurted it out so suddenly, even you were surprised by it.

“…Sure? If you’re comfortable with it,” He smiled, uncovering two dimples by his lips.

“I’m sorry, I don’t wanna make you uncomfortable, it’s just that you look really… hug-able right now,” You didn’t quite know how to phrase your thoughts any other way.

“Please stop apologising, I’m absolutely okay with you hugging me but if you keep apologising I might have to initiate the hug to stop you again,”

You didn’t need another signal before you closed the distance between the two of you and engulfed yourselves in a hug.

It was officially the cosiest hug you’d ever had in your life.

You were immediately assaulted with the smell of chocolate and vanilla as his red-white woolly sweater only added to the warmth of the blanket. His broad chest let you nuzzle into his body perfectly as he leaned his head gently over your shoulder and rested his hands on your waist.

“You smell like chocolate,”

“You’re welcome…?”

“Has anyone ever told you how cosy your hugs are?”

“I’m pretty sure you’re the first one actually,”

“Well, they are,”

“Good to know,”

“I think I'm going into overdrive,”

“Well- do I- do you want something- I don't know what to say-?”

“I should probably stop before it gets too warm,”

“Yeah,”

“I’m kinda stuck-“

“Where-?”

“That sounds concerningly wrong,”

“I just realised that, yeah,”

“I think your earring’s in my hair,”

“Oh my god, I’m so sorry,”

“I’d consider this a good start to my New Year.”

Q: “How can I participate in the event?” 

A: Easy! Send in a request via my inbox with a song title (can be any kind of song, kpop or not, even lofi or other instrumentals), a kpop boy group member, and any additional tropes or genres you want! if you only want to send a title and member, that’s fine too, I’ll freestyle and come up with something I think suits the title and member!

Keep in mind I’m a student and have a life outside of this blog so please do not send me asks rushing me about your request. thank you. :) 3) Excerpts made in my drabble parties may end up inspiring longer fics either expansions upon the excerpt or just a separate long fic. District Nine Writers’ Guild proudly presents its first biannual writing event . . . 

D9W 2022 — Starlight.

Inspired by Stray Kids’ annual compilation albums and presentations, together we’ll release an “album” of our own showcasing our writing! While a bit vague, like a star seen from afar, the theme for the “album” is starlight. 

This event is for members and non-members, meaning anyone may sign up to contribute to the final “album.” The fic you write is your song on the album. We’ll be posting the “album” (a masterlist) with links to everyone’s fics.
