Alright, let's finish this up here.

Battletech ABCs - Zeus. Mostly based on the WizKids iteration - a bulking up of the Zeus X. I just like the armor plates and wings on that thing. I had a couple of them, one of wich had two left arms...somehow. (QC was not exactly great during that run.) I did some remodelling to it and added on various stray bits (leftovers after a dog attacked my collection,) and created a real abomination.

Anyways, that finishes up the series. Need to go back and do a review pass on the lot, but that's not on the schedule anytime soon. Need to keep drawing and practicing my mech sketching skills, but undecided on if I should do another run of this type or not.

I was reading the toy descriptions and Emile is for pain relief? Does Tommy have a lot of pain that he would need something like that?

Nope, he's also for comfort and warmth! I have a teddybear like this that's just really comforting but also kids get tummyaches and had I had this bear when I was little and sick I would have ADORED it!

If Tommy is like me when I was his age then he gets sick with tummyaches and stuff a lot. If he's also like me then he got his tonsils out and that was so freaking painful cause ooph o couldn't have the pain mwda cause I was allergic so it's be nice for him to have a special warm/cold friend.

Fix it - don't replace it - repair it! It's putting a strain on our planet and our wallets throwing away items that could still have plenty of life in them. Let's change that. We are trying to get people to rethink the current culture of Throw Away and Replace rather then try and preserve and repair. Bringing things along to see if it’s repairable and can they do it themselves, with the Workshop showing them how to try safely. I This is to try and encourage people to move away from throwing perfectly good itemS into the landfill and be a bit more daring and HAVE A GO at fixing rather then replacing items. We live in a Throw Away Culture and are quick to rush out and buy new rather then try and extend the life of the item, by trying to fix before replacing. This Throw Away lifestyle has a massive effect on the planet with ever growing landfills and on our wallets. The Workshop is there to give advice on how to do it and to PAT TEST to see if the items are beyond help. MIWS are there to repair if they need us to but emphasis is to encourage people to be a bit more daring and HAVE A GO THEMSELVES. MakeItWorkShop CIC and Merseyside Waste Disposal Authority (MWDA) are launching this GIGA Event initiative in a bid to raise awareness about the choices that are available to consumers and to encourage a trend towards the greener option to reduce rising landfill. Come along to our Get It Going again (GIGA) Event on Thursday 31st May between 1pm and 3pm. We will be testing or showing how to repair, so if you would like to bring an item for us to look at, please bring it along to our GIGA Repair Workshop. Course Calendar Friday, October 6th – MRA Homecoming Scramble – 8:00 a.m. Course opens for member play at 1:00. Saturday, October 7th – Deerfield Couples – 12:30 p.m. – Course closes at 12:00 p.m. Member play will be a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. Sunday, October 8th – Deerfield Couples – 8:00 a.m. – Course opens at 1:30 p.m. Member play will be a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 12th – MWDA – 12:30 p.m. – Course closes at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, October 19th – Sanderson Farms Pre-Qualifier – Call Wednesday for available times. Monday, October 23rd – Sanderson Farms Qualifier – Call Sunday for available times. Wednesday – Friday, October 25-27th – Swing Thought Tour. Tee times available beginning at 10 a.m. each day.

Course News Please help us by filling your divots with sand as much as possible in the coming weeks as the grass will begin to go dormant and will not grow over divots. This will make the fairways much healthier going through winter and into spring.

Club News Please bear with us as we are changing our accounting and billing practices. We have made a bookkeeping change, and beginning with the November billing cycle, we will generate all charges on our point of sale software and will change the billing dates to cover from the first day of each month to the last day of the month. We will also have the capability of emailing your statement to you instead of paper billing if you prefer. Please include your email address with your payment this month if you are interested in this service. Please be on the lookout for new events at the club. We have recently hired Tara McCullough as the events coordinator at Deerfield. Tara is looking forward to organizing several events for Deerfield members to enjoy in the coming months.
