ryuu has some scattered memories of their parents, but gin has absolutely no recollection of them. all they know about their parents is what ryuu has told them. i also.. kind of like the idea that their mother died either in childbirth or shortly after gin was born from complications with the birth. ryuu knows this but it's a secret he will take to his grave bc he does Not want gin knowing

i kind of think they.. don't really have any big desires/dreams. they've pretty much had their course of life laid out for them since they joined the mafia at ~11-12, and that was what rescued them from their life in the slums. that gave both them and ryuu a stable income, food, shelter, etc etc so gin has never really.. stopped to think what they might want outside of that. they're prepared to live and die in the mafia bc the mafia saved them and the only lives they've known are 1. struggling to live in the slums and 2. being with the mafia. there was never any other option in their mind. and the mafia is fine, they have friends there, the money provides more than enough, they're good at what they do. but i also wouldn't say it's the life they would want if they could pick something else ykwim

gin's lies tend to be more omission of the truth rather than outright lies. they're very good at simply staying quiet and not volunteering information that could be helpful, especially if it means protecting someone they care about. they have a perfect blank stare that makes you believe they have absolutely no idea what you're talking about when they actually have all of the answers you're looking for

listen to me. jouno will lie about anything and everything and then they will turn around and call out anyone who tries to do the same back to them. jouno will lie about what they ate for breakfast if they think teruko is going to laugh about it for any reason. no they didn't eat lucky charms, they had toast. and sometimes the lies just sort of,, slip out. bc they're a very private person in general so it's just so easy for them to lie about things in order to hide the truth of who they are and avoid questions they don't want to answer

─ dating tecchou would be like adopting a little child. sometimes it'd be fun around him, sometimes it'd be annoying. but, of course, you'd find it more enjoyable when you're with him than annoyed. after all, that's the reason why you caught feelings, right?

─ i feel like both of you would bully each other all the time and do dumb stuff together. you know like watching the ants do their stuff or try out weird food combinations together. and then at all times you would insult and call each other names. everyone from the hd think that you're a weird couple but really, it's actually very fun.

─ other than that you can say that tecchou is quite protective. doesn't matter where you both are at, he'd always demand you to stay close to him. in fights, he'd always be around you just in case anything happens even if you told him that you can take care of yourself. when there are creeps harassing you? well, say bye-bye to them 'cause your beloved boyfriend would definitely scare them away.

─ now let's talk about dates. what dates would tecchou usually bring you to? i feel like it'd usually be dates that include foods and arcades. you both would definitely make a bet on each other and the loser will have to do whatever the winner says. especially on arcade dates, you'd either play those fighting games, racing games, shooting games, or aiming games for the bets.

─ when you're sick, I don't think he'd be too concerned about it unless it's super serious. if it's just some normal fever or headache, he'd just go, "there's some medicine in the cabinet. go eat them and remember to send me those photos of the birds we watched yesterday," lmao all he cares about are the photos 😭

─ moving on, if you're very sick like having a high fever, he'd definitely take care of you. he'll bring you food, medications, and be by your side all day. but don't think he'd show too much affection because I feel like he isn't good with it. he tries tho, maybe some head pats here and there and forehead kisses when you're asleep.

─ he'll change the warm towel for you if it gets cold and tucks you in comfortably in the bed if you've moved around too much. when you get better, he'd definitely annoy you by saying how tired he was taking care of you when you were sick. but honestly, he doesn't mind it at all; he just wants to annoy you since he's got the chance to

─ does tecchou love physical affection? the answer would be yes and no. if you're both home alone, he'd love to cuddle with him being the small spoon. it brings him comfort knowing that someone actually loves and cares for him. but when you're both out of the house. no, definitely no.

─ not even finger holdings, let me tell you. it's not that he hates it, he's embarrassed. the thought of letting everyone see the both of you having physical affection scares the shit out of him. especially jouno and teruko, they're already teasing and bugging tecchou about your relationship with him; letting them see physical affection between you and him? no way.

DRDT EP 15 SPOILERS!! My thoughts?

I can’t imagine how Arei felt when she realized it wasn’t Eden who gave her that fucking note. She probably knew it wasn’t Eden bcs of Ace’s white ass arms but still what the fuck?? Also Ace’s reason for killing her *specifically* is incredibly fucked, what the frickity frock is wrong with him 😀 istg if I see any mfs act like he’s little orphan Annie after this I’ll tweak out. Ace is not some misunderstood manchild, he is a college-aged something who knows full well what he’s doing is wrong. And you can even hear it in his dialogue. Yes, he’s tragic, but that doesn’t mean you have to baby him. To treat his character like that would be a huge insult to this series’ writing, I think. I don’t think I can say I can feel any sympathy for his character, and I don’t feel like I’m supposed to either. Like genuinely it feels like the developer is trying to get me to hate him even more before he dies lmao, but I have major respect for people who love their favs for the little shits they are‼️

Side note: I can’t stand when people act like the cast’s behavior towards Ace wasn’t justified, they act like it’s completely unprovoked or something. Reminder that Ace is a MEGA asshole, and when you see an asshole you aren’t going to think about how hard of a time they’re having, no! You’re going to think about how much of an asshole they are and *probably* treat them as such, especially when they try to pull that shit on you 😭 and you’d think after being threatened with violence or whatever else (not referring to anything after Nico’s attempt on his life, I think his behavior then was completely understandable, mostly) he’d cut that shit out but nooo…Also his behavior towards Levi confuses me immensely, why does he act like they had like, a relationship built off of mutual respect? Levi was literally the only one putting effort into that…friendship?? Is that what we’re calling whatever the fuck they had?? Man idk. Damn this ended up being yappier than expected my bad

Side note side note: me hating a character ≠ not acknowledging how awesomely written they are. Ace’s writing is uber cool but I cannot STAND his ass
