Persona Eltex Lance - RimWorld Writing
(Hey! Remember my very recent Archonexus playthough? Well I was working on a little piece of writing to go along with it and give a little piece of story as to how Fuller got the profoundly useless weapon that was the eltex lance from a mod which I have since removed.)
“Hey…” Fuller jumped, startled from his meditation as he heard the dainty, high-pitched and yet soft voice call out inside his head. Its tone was…strangely casual, if not a bit hesitant. Now, being a psycaster, a Mechanitor, and a follower of the Archonexus, he was no stranger to voices inside his head. Though he was far more used to the unknowable, inconceivable, eyeless thoughts of beings far outside his comprehension. Not this sort of high-pitched, slightly-robotic voice like a children’s toy. “That’s not nice, I’m not a toy.” He looked left, looked right, didn’t see anyone inside this dark, empty ancient danger in which he found himself in. The scant light of dawn filtered in through a hole made in the wall by Mei, illuminating the ancient goo-soaked marble tiles and dusty cryptosleep tombs still standing by to be activated.
“Who was that?” Fuller verbally called out to the darkness further into the tomb, unconsciously preparing for combat. He had no weapon, and was not nearly as augmented as his peers, but he was still no slouch on the battlefield, a hyperweave duster barely covered his hulking, organic muscle-bound frame. He was met with no audible response. At least, one that wasn’t inside his head.
“In here,” The voice called. Despite having been given no direction, Fuller found himself turning towards the ancient hermetic-sealed crate sitting near the cryptosleep caskets. A small indicator on its side still shone red, they had not opened it yet. “I’m in the box. Will you please get me out? I get claustrophobic.” Fuller took a moment to ponder exactly how something could still be claustrophobic despite being in a box for thousands of years, but no matter. A fingerprint scan was all it took to get the box open. Its locks unsealed with a hiss of ancient steam, and the lid easily slid off and clattered to the tile flooring.
“Ah~ Fresh air~ Thanks so much! You did such a good job~” Fuller didn’t really think opening a box was such a high achievement, but the kind words made him feel better regardless. Inside the ancient crate, he found a small collection of luciferum, its red crystals glittered beautifully in the scant light, you wouldn’t even know that it’s the galaxy’s worst drug at first glance. It sat on top of a few shiny silver boxes of high-tech glitterworld-grade medicine. Fuller grined as he pulled the prizes out, they would make for excellent trade goods. Underneath that, he found…
“Ehe, see something you like~?” The voice giggled, now revealed to be the long, boxy shape of an ultratech Persona Eltex Lance. Fuller gingerly took the weapon in his hands, its black composite body warm to the touch. Intricate patterns of serpents with human upper bodies curved around the long, ported barrel, coming at a head by holding the flared muzzlebreak in their carved hands, they looked eyelessly down the barrel with their faceless heads. The grooves of its grips sank into the dark flesh of Fuller’s still-organic hands, as if it was always meant to be there - a vital piece that had been missing from his body until now. Before he knew it, he had his finger resting comfortably on the trigger, and his eyes looking down the perfectly-alinged digital sight. Clearly this weapon had been made by some glitterworld craftsman thousands of years ago. “2476 thousand, to be exact, but who’s counting?” The voice…the lance giggled again. His attention was turned to the minified persona AI core sunken into the weapon’s body, just above the glowing blue Eltex core that gave the weapon infinite power and psychic connection. “My name is Naga, what’s yours?”
“Naga, huh? Fitting, if nothing else.” Fuller quirked an eyebrow at Naga, her eltex core hummed in agreement.
“My creator was not a creative man when it came to names. His was Bob.” This time, Fuller laughed along with Naga.
“My name is Fuller. I’m an Archist, I came from an urbworld to this rimworld when I found a cryptic clue that the Archonexus was here.” Fuller had never told anyone this so casually, normally, it would be wise to keep such information to yourself, but he felt very comfortable with Naga.
“Oh? You know, I have been in infrequent communication with an ancient Archotech artifact around here. Have you seen it? I imagine it’s magnificent…” Fuller suddenly came to the realization that Naga hasn’t been outside in thousands of years. With that, he hurred to make his way out of the dusty crypt.
“I have seen it! I’ll take you to see it now! A group of my friends and I are studying it to try and find the whereabouts of the Archonexus.” With a squeal of metal on stone, Fuller wrenched the makeshift metal door they had made into the wall of the tomb. Just in time to see the rising sun over vast, flat, empty grasslands.

Krieg showed her a wicked gring. So eager and addicted already but still quick with her thinking. She was rhe perfect candidate for this kind of job.
Offcourse he had a couple toys modelled after his own cock back home, though he had not expected that he'd need to bring one. Though quick thinking as he was, he just grinned and kissed her.
"The muzzlebreak of your rifle is a hint short... but it's also rigid to make up for it~" he suggested with a perverted grin. "You are a warbride now, while we are seperated ypu'll have to improvise in the field~" he wisperred against her lips and went just a bit faster, arroused by the fact that she was already concerned of sutch thing and of the idea of a girl riding her own weapon.
"Just make sure to clean it and lube it up, yes~?" he maoned with a wide grin. "Because I can tell you stories of some artillery crews that missed me..."

Yoko made sure her rifle was ready as Yang laid beside her. The blonde hunter had escaped from some madman. And now she waited for an ambush, all her attention focused the door to a suburban house, "Come out you sick bastard."

Godsal 1918 Anti-Tank Rifle
While the Imperial German Army’s T-Gewehr is relatively well know, it’s short-lived British counterpart is almost unknown. The Godsal Anti-Tank rifle, developed in 1918, represents an answer to a problem Britain did not yet face.
The name Philip Thomas Godsal is more frequently associated with another unusual firearm - the Godsal bullpup rifle developed in the early 1900s. Major Godsal was a British army officer, who joined the 52nd Light Infantry in 1869, eventually leaving the army in 1880. He became a well-known and respected rifle marksman winning a number of prestigious shooting competitions.
By 1918, it appears that working with Webley & Scott, who had also built his earlier bullpup prototypes, Godsal developed a bolt action rifle chambered in a large .5 inch calibre, perhaps as a response to the German T-Gewehr. At the time the rifle was being developed Godsal would have been around 68. It is unclear if the development of the rifle was a project requested or sanctioned by the British government or if it was a private commercial venture to be offered to the military when complete.
This rifle in particular is marked ‘1′ on its receiver and proof marked near its trunion with ‘.600/ 500′ referring to the British .600/500in round used in the early .5-inch aircraft Vickers machine guns before the switch to 12.7x81mm. The version of the round used with the Godsal used a bullet with a soft lead core.
The action seen in the photographs of the rifle held by the Royal Armouries’ collection bears a strong resemblance to an action patented by Godsal, in the US and UK, in 1914. It would seem that Godsal was able to scale up this action for use in a rifle chambered in a much larger cartridge.
Godsal’s 1914 action patent (source)
The action appears to be a development of the one developed for use with his earlier bullpup rifles. In the anti-tank rifle the pistol grip and trigger have been moved back to a more conventional position and the anti tank rifle does not have a magazine and is likely a single shot weapon, much like its German counterpart. The prototype has a rather thin looking pistol grip made from a machined metal piece that extends from beneath the action, making up the the trigger guard and then projecting back down the wrist of the stock. This was no doubt to strengthen the wooden stock. The pistol grip itself has wooden panels held in place by a pair of screws. The buttstock looks to have a half inch thick butt pad, possible made from rubber, to aid with recoil.
The rifle’s sights are marked from 2 to 20, probably indicating a graduated range of up to 2,000 yards. The weapon has an exposed, dovetailed front sight. Interestingly, the early .55 Boys Anti-Tank rifles, developed in the 1930s and eventually adopted by the British Army, had an almost identical muzzlebreak to the Godsal rifle.
The prototype appears to have a very large extractor on top of the bolt, held in place in a dovetail. Simpler but somewhat similar to that seen in the 1914 patent. Additionally corresponding to the patent is the location of what looks to be a safety catch on the right, top, side of the receiver. There are also signs that changes have been made to the prototype during development such as a scallop cut in the stock and receiver on the left, an exposed, empty slot and a number of holes drilled into the receiver. There is no sign of any wooden handguards being attached to the rifle and it likely used a bipod or a rest for testing.

It is likely that development of Godsal’s came to a halt when the First World War ended. With little money available for military research and development and no urgent need for an anti-tank rifle the project was probably shelved in early 1919. Godsal’s anti-tank rifle certainly intriguing and deserves to have its story investigated further. Godsal died in 1925, aged 75.
Godsal’s gun is a contemporary of another lesser known First World War anti-tank rifle, the Experimental 1918 Winchester .50 Calibre Anti-Tank Rifle developed by Edwin Pugsley.

Review of .22 Compensator, the "Game Changer" by TANDEMKROSS
Review of .22 Compensator, the “Game Changer” by TANDEMKROSS
The “Game Changer” .22 Compensator has definitely tightened my groupings when shooting rapid controlled pairs. The first thought for most people online when they see a compensator on a .22 cal pistol is “WHY!?. The .22 caliber obviously creates minimal felt-recoil, so is it just StarWars fans who want a blaster Sci-fi looking pistol? The answer for the WHY? is found where you normally see…
