I am Amani, and as you know, my sister Eman and I are currently living in the besieged Gaza Strip. We are the only ones left from our family. We live with our children in a tent, experiencing the worst living conditions. We are still suffering and struggling to provide water, food, and other necessities. Basic living conditions are not available, and we are living in extremely difficult circumstances.

Our homes have been completely destroyed, and our future shattered. We no longer have a house or anything we own. We have been displaced four times, facing exhaustion and severe illness, including gastroenteritis, high fever, cough, and amoebiasis due to contaminated water and malnutrition. Despite our efforts, we struggled to find the necessary medicine. Here we are now in the Mawasi Khan Younis area, where the intense ongoing bombardment continues.

My brother created this donation link to help us reach safety and save our lives and our children’s lives. Here in Gaza, we find nothing, and the truth is we are fighting to survive. We appeal to the entire world to move to a safe place where we can rebuild our lives in peace. Travel costs are high, but it is the best solution.

Qusai Aburas, a diligent and beloved child, always shows a spirit of perseverance and determination. He loves life and playing, and he is keen on making new friends, spreading warmth and joy to everyone around him.

From the beginning of his life, Qusai faced significant health challenges. He suffers from heart problems, which required an open-heart surgery in his early years. The medical journey did not stop there, as he underwent two cardiac catheterization procedures and needs to have regular medical check-ups every six months to monitor his condition.

However, the circumstances of war turned Qusai’s life upside down. These difficult conditions added more challenges to the life of this perseverant child. As his father, I feel helpless in the face of these enormous challenges, and I hope with all my heart that my son’s condition does not worsen under these current circumstances.

Despite all the difficulties, Qusai remains a symbol of hope and courage. Seeing him continue to smile, play, and connect with his friends fills my heart with pride and hope. I wish that Qusai could live in a more stable Qusai Aburas, a diligent and beloved child, always shows a spirit of perseverance and determination. My best friend has spent the last 13 months fleeing, hiding, and now legally protecting herself from her abusive ex-partner.

This man was squatting in her house until last month, refusing to pay any bills... meaning she had to cover roughly $1800 in bills related to the home she owns and cover alternative housing, travel costs back and forth to her home city, reschedule and delay medical appointments and procedures, etc.

He filed a petition for divorce and has been claiming they were married, and they definitely weren't. Abusing the legal system has been just another way for him to cost her thousands of dollars - and continue to control her life.

Things are looking up (in ways I won't discuss), but she's incredibly financially strapped.

She needs another $5k ASAP to help her in this (hopefully) last stretch, to help cover bills and legal costs.

And, you can help me surprise her with this! See, she's finally taking some much-needed time for self-care and attending a meditation retreat this weekend.

If you can help me boost this and get her the money she needs, she can come back to all of this restored, renewed, and reinvigorated for this last final push.

Katy has saved my life multiple times, whether that's being my main support person through a lot of life events or helping me while I cut contact with my abusive mother.
