BOOK HELP NEEDED!
I have purged my fiction TBR list off everything but a few short stories and couple of novellas. Does anyone of you out there with your exquisite taste in literature any recommendations for titles by modern day authors set during the age of sail, much preferably with some semblance of historical accuracy?

Once again, yesterday was 12-hour festival day, and truly one of my favorites, it is a great time, every time. And this is one of those, like, "these are my people" things and that makes it really satisfying, money aside.
My second favorite interaction was with a guy who told me this really sweet, nostalgic thing that related to one of the items I make, and he ended up buying one to put by his reading chair, and if you're like "aw <3", the punchline is that when he walked in to my booth he said "dude, you work is thrashing my entire existence" which felt pretty metal.
My favorite interaction was with this couple who...well, I guess we kind of mutually overshared a couple of years ago and found something in common, and I still think very fondly of them. I've gotten two hugs from him, which were very nice, and I have no idea who they are. This is the only context in which I know them.
Anyway, then I slept for 10 hours and spent today moving as little as possible because everything in my body kind of hurts and I'm still so tired.
Mutiny on the Bounty (1935)
I know, I know, a code-era 30s film. A wild choice.

American Splendor:
Very underrated film that's part-biography on it's central figure of Harvey Pekar (a notable Cleveland cartoonist), part-documentary with the real Harvey Pekar cutting into the film with his own commentary on how his story is being adapted and what he likes or doesn't like about the film, and part-adaptation of Pekar's American Splendor comics. It makes for a really cool watch and a great understanding of both who this guy is and what his work is like.
Mutiny:
The story of the infamous Captain Bligh and Fletcher Christian, and the events which led Christian to lead a mutiny to seize control of their ship and set Bligh and the men loyal to him adrift in a longboat in the Pacific with next to no chance of survival. And yet they did. You will go from absolutely hating Bligh for his cruelty on the Bounty to having to admire the incredible feat of seamanship that got him and all but one of his companions in the longboat through 4000 miles of open water to safety without the aid of navigation instruments, firearms, and only the barest of supplies to start with. Truly a memorable performance by Anthony Hopkins.
