There’s a loud snarling noise outside the window. 

Not that Jazz is concerned. She’s just also trying to study for med school and would appreciate some quiet. And preferred her brother not contracting rabies whenever he tried to square off with the local rogue or three who tried to use the alley. 

As he had put it, it was his alley, he’d claimed it for tinkering. Though perhaps she should maybe ask him to quiet down on his insisted territorialism, even if she understood it. She would also probably maul someone if they tried to enter their apartment flat. It came with the territory of being ecto contaminated, or as the rest of them were now calling it, with being a liminal. 

Once the more draconic aspects started to emerge well, one wasn’t just contaminated anymore after all. Hence the whole school-worth of them leaving Amity while all their parents waged war against the guys in white. Last she heard it was going well. 

Which meant she could focus on her studies as soon as- okay it wouldn’t be quiet, it seems the rest of the kids joined in on mauling the poor idiot who tried to steal their things from the alley. Damn…

I intentionally have left out the more ubiquitous, "staple" keywords (e.g. Lifelink, Flying, Scry, Vigilance, Deathtouch, etc), as well as the infamously powerful keywords (Convoke, Cascade, Delve, Dredge, Storm) to make the options more interesting

Note: I am a casual fan at best and have seen few out of the many many keywords that have existed across the game's long lifespan, and the ones I remember are even fewer (and even if I remembered them all there's a max of 12 entries per poll). I highly encourage you to discuss any of your personal favorites that I couldn't include in reblogs and tags!

Eluein heard the beastly wail just as loudly as she did on the day she devoured the creature for its mana, absorbing its essence for herself. Now, she could feel it gnaw on her very being, desperate to get out. Somehow, it was still alive– or perhaps just stirred to life by the sudden influx of energy. A dull fog obscured her vision as the thoughts of the creature started to blur with her own– when it reached out its talons, so did she claw at her neck.

[...] It burst out from her all at once, tearing the skin and fracturing the bone - a malformed wing formed by the excess of the energy she stole, enacting the slain creature’s revenge. Blood and the arcane essence flowed alike, trickling down from the fissures splitting the body.

[...] Then, she heard its shrieks no more, deafened by the rhythmic buzz of Arcane so loud it had drowned out all of her thoughts. All but one - slay Duskborn. The sole goal and command even this broken, aching body needed to heed. Slowly, she rose, grasping Faithbreaker with the right hand - her head snapped back in a bird-like motion, peering towards Eledorn. Regardless of what just happened, she still intended to keep her word - she would have his head, one way or another.

Illustration for the conclusion of an RP plot I was a part of for the last few months! 💙 My character had an awful time and suffered a major ego death, but for me it was a blast.

yves is in constant pain in a place no painkillers can ever touch. his soul is broken, a wrecked thing, maimed and mangled at the hands of his father. rigus is wrong. the wrong shape, the wrong size, their once shared magic now a discordant symphony, dropped notes and played too fast. he aches, every minute of the day, deep inside at the heart of him, enough to make him weep if he focuses on it long enough.

touching rigus helps dull the pain, physical contact a balm on frayed existence, one never out of reach of the other unless surroundings demand it. they stand pressed together, griffon leaning weight against witch, hands buried into feathers and mane, fingers curling through crest or holding tail. they sleep curled together, yves huddled against his beast's side, wrapped in wing of golden hue as they share dreams and nightmares both.

You know what's scary to think about? How inbreeding caused the gaunts to basically die out. How black madness is so prominent — and one or two more generation they might end up where Gaunts were (if they continued the marriage in family for a “pure bloodline”). Imagine, in a world where Voldemort actually won, and if we follow the theory of Voldemort wanting to destroy the world; just imagine, purebloods basically killing themselves by following this line of marriage — Imagine, how horrifying the results would be as they slowly die out.

DC's timeline is a mess so this is my personal take on the batfam age gaps:

Alfred - Bruce → age gap: 22-23 years

Bruce - Dick → age gap: 18 years

Dick - Cass → age gap: 6 years

Cass - Jason → age gap: 6-7 months (or a year if we substract Jason 6 dead months)

Jason - Tim → age gap: 2 years

Tim - Duke → age gap: 2 years

Duke - Damian → age gap: 4-5 years

Characters I didn't mention but are technically part of the fam:

Barbara - Dick → age gap: 4-6 years

Steph - Tim → age gap: 1 year

(And I wanted to add Helena but I really have no idea when or at what age she joins the batfam.)

P.D.: The rest won't be included because I don't know them enough so I'd just be second guessing myself.
