I was intending to upload this picture here yesterday but I must have gotten tiered and forgot!
Emperess Nautilus, ruler of the Neptonians
Every year I try to do a drawing of her to see how my art has progressed. This is this years addition.
May has been… a lot and I have not really processed it or really registered that it happened entirely.
But I still managed to finish this.
Something Lore wise that always sort of surprises me about Nautilus is her hair.
See, she’s blond. Which among the sea people is a rather rare trait. Their “hair” tends to be colors of black and brown and in some places blues, grays and purples. Sometimes you might even see some ghostly greenish white. Meanwhile reds and blonds are rare as for the neptonians it is a detrimental mutation.
See I’ve explained it before but, Neptonian hair is not like human hair. It’s thicker and hollow with pores all along it’s shaft.
This along with some other specifics not entirely worked out yet allows neptonians to shift the texture and colors of their hair allowing it to act as portable camouflage. As they use it to mimic seaweed and other aquatic plants and structures.
(And when it’s not camouflage, their hair tends to have venomous stingers at the end or all along the shaft)
Blond hair and by a lesser extension red hair dose not have this mutation, meaning that they can not successfully camouflage to their surroundings. Making them vulnerable to predation and easier to spot by prey.
In other words. Emperess Nautilus is Considered a disabled woman among her own species.
Which is wild to me as by humans standards she is not in any sense of the word.
Though it’s not a Big Deal. Of all the people In the world the Neptonians are among, if not the best at accommodating and Adjusting for differently body ability. After all their empire consists of vastly different people, and even among the larger everyday population of the empire their citizens tend to have three vastly different body types that need different accommodations. As well as a population that does not stop growing as it ages. So why not build things with access for other difference too?
Within the central hemisphere neptonian Architects are considered some of the best in the world.
This along with neptonians lobbing for accessibility to their citizens in land dwelling countries has changed the way most public (and many private) buildings are designed within the southern half of scalipia (ideas eventually migrated north), and Aukulir. As well as all of Gargoraqi.
Empress Nautilus’s mutation is not a huge deal for her everyday life at least in the current empire.
For one thing she is the Empress, the most powerful person politically, economically and socially in the nation.
Her needs are met. (And so are the majority of basic needs for all her citizens)
And she had it relatively well of to start with. After all before she became Empress she had a loving pod. That helped her hunt and provided protection. She also used to keep her hair shorter; a bit of a social faux pas, as short hair is seen as a signifier that a person is aggressive. Cutting their hair to declare ‘war’ on someone. Though she simply cut it to lessen the drag as she swam.
Her daughter phillipa, dose not have blond hair and has black hair she inherited from her father.

Alright.
Long eared
(A big WIP)
So someone I know one day said that they liked that my “elves” where not like other elves, I laughed a little bit. As what I had been talking about where my creatures called long eared.
But it made me smile and laugh so I decided to just go along with it. So first of long eared are actually more like giants and trolls than they are elves. Trolls, giants and long eared are all cousin species. They all have two hearts (sort of) and tails.
A lot of long eared don’t have tails anymore as they have had hybrids with humans, so over the generations they have lost their tails. In some regions more than others.
(Simple punit square, tail is a recessive trait)
The north eastern region of scalipia is one of these.
So here is where the “elf” part comes into play. I decided to develop the cultures of the long eared of this region so I basically decided that if they’re already going to be seen as elves, I might as well play around with that. This comes in the form of this region of the world having long eared that have very similar cultures, or at least aesthetics to the typical DND elves or generic fantasy elves.
Let’s establish some history. About 1500-ish years ago the evutrophian in empire fell apart and a few centuries later the fairy empire began its decline. (Give and take the time line is shaky for that part is more like between 3000-1000 years ago.)
In thier absence the long eared and humans begin to stick claims to different territories. The long eared having been favored by the fairies. who were in power after the fall of the empire, because of this they gained access to better resources and territories on a earlier basis than the humans who had not had such favor from the fairies.
Resulting in the long ears established their cultures and their own kingdoms and empires within the territories that had been abandoned by the fairies.
And this map is a map that shows the long eared empires at their height of power.
Do you note that the longears shared the territory with centaur’s and giants, at the time with a majority human population to the west, and a population of gray ghouls who were in and eastern corner. Jiants in the south…and soqut the kingdom of the trice dead king is there too I guess.
The hunting grounds is undisputed territory. Held by the countries of Kanasi, Llorial, and Senik, along with claims from the jiants and the human principalities.
Onto the different cultures of the long eared groups of the region
-Asisati: sun preps, they are the biggest group of long eared when they dominated the region. The asisati long eared had one of the least ethnically diverse groups in all of scalipia. All of them having a similar look. All genders keep their hair long. Blonde and Ginger hair and red-orange to golden eyes with tails that end in a tuft like a lion tail.
Long hair is a symbol of luck, longevity, loyalty and beauty so cutting it is seen as inviting misfortune and as creating an opening for a person to become possessed by a spirit. (Note: loosely inspired by Filibusterfrog on tumbler, their (??? Don’t know gender) post on elf hair has been floating around for a long time so it’s influenced me.) hair is worn in braids for the unmarried and once an Asisati marries they wear their hair up in a bun or top knot or veiled if it’s winter.
They encourage large families and have strict social expectations for every role of a family member. It dose help a bit that long ears like trolls tend to have multiple kids at once (45% one kid, 35% twins, 20% triples) the rigged family roles can be stifling. Especially when not living up to the role. They also have rather ridged and strict gender roles. Men, women and enbies all have their roles.
Thier country is modeled after a solar system. The capital the sun that the whole country revolves around. They share a good chunk of thier territory with the moor centaurs who they have been in an on and off conflict with for centuries.
None of the long eared kingdoms had really strict boarders.
Everything the Asisati make is overdecorated. Highly intricate with sweeping and layered arches and elegant designs. Clothing is similarly highly ornate. With rich embroidery of geometric patterns. The main body of clothes tend to traditionally be rather plain, almost puritanical in design, though coats, veils, collars and aprons tend to all be highly ornate. Though specific amounts of ornaments has varied through out the years, often in cycles of 50 years where either highly ornate or highly simplistic fashion is preferred. With a transition period between them being common.
-Senik: moon art majors, emotions are seen as king among the Senik. This causes them to let their emotions be known but also to control thier emotions. a common philosophy among their people is that “the world works on logic, but people on emotions”. So they keep the idea that emotions drive the motivation of every other person when interacting with others. They are the most open to trade and diversity of ideas in their communities. They have a higher amount of tailless long eared than the other populations, only rivaled by the Llorial.
Each winter they have a giant festival called the procession of the moon hunt. Everyone dresses up with twigs and cloths and ribbons, often carrying lanterns made from animal skulls. They ride through the country side with candles and singing songs that are said to haunt those who hear them. It’s believed that the spirits of passed on loved ones join them in this persuasion. Though most people brush that off as superstition because ghosts don’t exist.
After the procession is a grand hunt for the community and a feast of the frost. Some communities have different practices.
They have come to worship the triad pantheons (worship of the powers of dread, ambition and passion) over the years. Though the eye cult also gained a lot of followers among them.
Also tend to wear rather plain clothes. Though they also wear highly embroidered coats and aprons similar to the fashion of the Asisati. They forgo patterns on their main body of clothing but often have it in things like their cuffs and collars. They use different colors to communicate the intended emotions of the wearer. Even learning how to create color changing cloths with magic. During the summer they tend to wear light silky clothing that billow, while fall and winter thicker and stiffer clothing is favored, along with less colorful clothes.
Fish ponds and fish husbandry is a common symbol of wealth and plenty. The Senik practiced early forms of aquaponics. Ponds where often made round to reflect the moon, though crescents where common too.
The Senik wander a lot, they are often found in other communities and places. Their own communities are diverse and full of trade.
-llorial: wood hippies, the most isolationist of all the group. They build ornate homes up in the tops of giant trees or when the trees are not available they build wooden homes in forest glends. Thier homes are often covered in strips of bark.
They are known for their carpentery and wood carving skills. They see trees as sacred so when a tree is feld for work it is respected and used to its fullest extent. For bows, bowls or buildings it’s all respected as important. They replant trees they fell. Seen as a bit of a nuisance by other people as they aggressively plant trees.
They also have a breed of domesticated deer and practice falconry. Archery is an art form and sport. Have a wide array of board games. Like threes dance, pick sticks, checkers, chess and inner walls.
(Threes dance, played on a checkered board with three pieces to start with. Each pice has a different set of moves it can make. The goal is to get nine pieces on the board and or remove the other players pices first.
((Pick sticks, is sort of like snakes and ladders but you are trying to get to the other side of the board while the the other players will add and remove obstacles.
They also play pick up sticks though the two games should not be confused for the other
(((inner walls. Up to four players, each starting in the corner. The goal is to get all four of your pieces to the center of the board. While pushing the other players off the board.
They keep long hair as a sign of longevity, seeing their hair much like the roots of a tree. To cut your hair off would be like severing your roots. Though they do on occasion use hair in rituals.
They are a pain in the ass of the human kingdoms. As they don’t get along. Claiming the hunting grounds as their own, while the humans and giants do the same.
They tend to have dark brown, brown to golden copper hair, sometimes they have blond hair or blond hair to orange hair tips. Teal and blue green hair is common too.
-Irrine: pale people fight club, this ethnic group is a warrior culture. They traditionally don’t fight to conquer. Though are not opposed to it. Generally they fight for defense and for the joy of fighting. They are a people who value physical abilities as well as disability.
They are also well known as excellent weapons smith, being the first to rediscover the technique of making blood iorn swords when that technology was lost with the fall of the eoutrothian empire
Long hair is worn by everyone as it is a sign of battle honor. They take trophies of hair when they defeat an enemy. A long ponytail is essentially an advertisement of “come at me bro, if you dare”
Married partners will often braid all of their hair together before they cut it of as a symbol of their Union of body, family and spirit.
They cherish life, and celebrate it with vigor. Because of this they do not see death as a sad thing. Mushrooms, bones and weapons are common motifs in their art.
Each year in autumn they hold a paper lantern festival that involves lighting the lanterns that will guide the souls of their ancestors through the thick fog of the afterlife.
They believe the foggy moors, woods and hills of their homeland is full of illusions. So many of their studied magic is to do with illusions.
They have an unusually high population of albinism. They generally have pale hair colors of pink, lilac, blond, white, gray, sea foam, tawny or clementine orange. They have red, purple, maroon blue or pink eyes. If their eyes are dark in color they are usually black. Their favorite sparing partners are gray ghouls when they can fight them, but giants and moor centaurs are good too. The lupindi also make favorites for competitive combat.
A lot of countries in northeastern scalipia hire the Irinne as mercenaries.
-Kanasi: Dark emos. The kanasi worship the spider goddess Anannsii and to a lesser extent her husband Fiveiist and her wife Kalastya. There is some minor local worship of their ten sons (Though not much of Organdir the betrayer) each major city claims one of the sons as a patron, the three city capital claims each of the parents as their patron.
The Kanasi value patience, craftsmanship, leadership and cunning. These are all things that Anannsii was said to have gifted and taught the Kanasi with her webs. At least that’s what the legend said. The animal that symbolizes the Royal family is the moon back spider.
Armor and spider webs where are often incorporated in their fashion
- Demepr: sea jocks, a harsh and windswept terrain is what they call home. The only saving grace of this foggy land is it’s prime location for trade. A good distance between the coast of aukulir and the Black Forest in julner.
The Demepr are the only northeastern scalipian long eared who don’t value long hair. So they often cut it short when they become adults. Thier hair is usually gray, black, white, teal or blues.
They live in towns often built on the sides of cliffs. Here they spend time diving for oysters, farming kelp, fishing and sailing.
The Demepr have a long tamed cliff fisher wyverns who they ride in the backs of when they are fishing.
They also have a live hate relationship with fisher harpies.
((Fun fact about the long ears, they are named and based after my little sister’s stuffed rabbit toy she had as a little kid))

whoo! another detailed map of a continent in the central hemisphere.
if the maps seem a bit inconsistent... well I did not entirely have the continent figured out back when I drew the original scalipia map.
I also just sort of suck at keeping maps consistent. notoriously so, it was such an issue when I started worldbuilding years ago, that I did not have a working map for this world for years, probably around fourish years.

Magic tech.
Magic tech in music box. It is a relatively new thing only becoming a proper field of study after the witch wars.
With smaller magic tech adjacent things having existed.
The thing with magic tech is that is dose not required an affinity for magic to use
Most pre magic tech was simply the use of laquim for batteries of sorts and dolls. But dolls and automatons are their own can of worms
The earliest form of modern magic tech is probably magical “guns” that use carved and polished laquim plates to fire of its “shots.”
An interesting thing about the world is that they likely started useing clean energy (ie wind, solar, geo thermal and hydroelectric) before fossil fuels would be used. Simple because of how thier world conceives energy.
So magic was also used on trains
All of those things are thought of as being part of the Elemental theory of magic, so it’s likely that when there became higher demands for energy and electricity they went to those options earlier as to them that’s where energy comes from.
Solar was probably a later addition to thier energy harvest compared to wind and water, and thier ability to put lightning in a bottle
Electric plants must be swarmed with electricity spirits
But back to magic tech.
So magic tech produces a unique issue. That is the fact that magic normally needs organic material to be channeled. This is actually the same issue that arises with wands. Wands are made of wood, bone, shell or other things like that because it is difficult to move magic through inorganic material (with the exception of laquim and apparently copper, copper is a relatively good conductor of magic.)
So a good deal of magic tech uses organic material in it’s making
Another thing that allowed for magic tech to become widely available is for the invention and then innovation of spell tags
A lot of magic tec used magic circles and runes as “circuit boards” of sorts to enscribe certain commands.
Prior to the witch war magic circles where relatively rare and where difficult to get right. Even though there are many methods to make them.
Spell tags on the other hand created standardized and “cheep” magic
Laquim stones are used in a large deal of magic tech as they are good at storing magic. Usually they are used in polished forms.
Carved laquim is used as raw crystal have a tendency to grow…
Hence why it is called “growing crystals”
this growing crystal normally grows slowly if not in areas where it is exposed to a lot of magic on a regular basis.
the advent of chemestry it became easier to make chemicals that artificially could mimic the organic materials that magic likes to work with, and better metallurgy refined metals into forms that magic can travel though without causing issues.
I have a lot of work still remaining on how magic tech works, but this is a general outline that im satisfied with for now.

Have I ever mentioned the Iles of Man here? I don't think so... I might have.
If not. the Iles of man is a series of artipeligos between the continents of Kaliwafitsu and the fairy continent that still dose not have an official name yet so I’ll just keep calling it that.
The population of the iles of man is primarily made up of humans. And a few of their Kins.
But obviously the giant ore fish mermaid is not a human. the majority of the "strange and unnatural" creatures that appear in the iles of man do so by the season as they use the artepeligo as a resting point on larger migrations.
such as ore fish sirens, and all manner of seakin along With harpies that migrate from the continents. another common sight are fries who have been banished from thier homelands, will make thier way to the islands if they can to hide away from thier kin.

A mermaid exploring a coral forest.
So music box has coral reefs a plenty. But an ocean environment unique to the world not found here on earth are coral forests.
Massive tree like structures that grow in layers underwater.
These trees are all ancient and play host to a lot of ancient sea creatures, even some that have gone extinct in other parts of the ocean.
The largest stretches of these “coral forests” are those that are the continuation of the endless forests that continues on under water. The other underwater parts of the endless forest being composed of kelp forests.
Coral forests are unique when compared with coral reefs is the different levels of the forest.
The crown or top level plays host to similar species and biodiversity like an actual coral reefs. With other smaller variants of corals
The second level is that of the branches. The ones depicted here in the drawing. It has less light than the crown but still hosts a plethora of life. As ther are plenty of hiding places and many creatures evolved to take advantage of maneuvering around the tight turns to avoid predators.
Third level is the trunk. It is generally the most barren of the ecosystems but it is far from devoid of life. These “trunks” host a number of fish and crustaceans but the most notable creatures are these large sea sponges that grow on the trunks along with strange jellyfish or sea anemones like creatures that attach to the trunks like terrestrial mushrooms (see chicken of the woods mushrooms or red banded conk ) they prey on fish that swim near as well as filter feed on the drifting debris.
The “roots” is the final level and though it has the least available sunlight it is done to a great deal of life. This is because of the heavy amounts of sediment and dead things that drift down. Creating an ecosystem with similarities to that of a whale fall.
If a “branch” is cut the “coral” has notable agote like rings. From where the creatures grow and add layers of different colors for different environment factors.
Sometimes land people will cut off a branch or two and haul them to land where they are cut and polished into cups, trinkets and wands. Some forests have suffered from over harvesting but a lot of work in the modern age is done to keep the forests healthy and replace lost forest density.
Coral forest grow in ocean waters that are deeper than those of regular coral reefs but not as deep as those of deep coral reefs.
Mermaids and sea folk rarely venture into the coral forests as they are aware of the danger. Some species of merfolk are adapted for the environment. And even those who are not know to respect (and fear) the coral forest.

Wedding dresses.
I got some inspiration a few days ago to draw wedding dresses. So here are some weddings wear of scalipia and julner. On the left is a wedding coat form agura in southern scalipia. In center the blue forest and to the right from mournic and northern scalipia. I’m only covering feminine wedding regalia in this one, who knows I may do gender nuteral and masculine regalia at some point, as they are more exiting then just a suit and tie.
The auguran wedding coat. Colorful like much of the aguraen clothing, though specifics variety in the region the regalia is generally made up of, a ribbon crown, the ribbon drag, paper flowers, kester broach, and the “feather” or “petal” overcoat.
- ribbon drags: once made from scraps and sometimes paper, but nowadays are made of fancy lace, cut and full ribbons or sewn together into a single drag. It’s popular to use the colors of one’s homeland flag. Especially for those marriages that are for international couples (or polycules)
-paper flowers. Sometimes substituted with real flowers when available, usually one of the seven sacred flowers of Pandora but daisies and violets are popular too. They symbolize fertility but each flower has its own meaning, daisies being joy and violets fidelity.
- kester Broaches: named for a local symbol of luck, a large coin/broach worn around the neck. It is usually gold, silver or bronze, and is given to the bride for good luck and as a monetary gift for the start of her new life.
- petal/feather overcoats. The main attraction of the wedding outfit. Can be worn over pants or a skirt. The coat is heavily embroidered. Having several layers of tapered panels. These are often gifted to the bride and are embroidered by different families in a community.
The Blue Forest’s wedding dress. Relatively simple, consisting of a black laced vail, a bell band and the striped coat.
- bell band: on each side of the band (or just one side) there are five bells, the largest is gold, copper or brass, representing the sun. The other four smaller ones are often made of silver, tin or steal balls that represent the four moons. Traditionally tied right at the rib cage but often tied lower on the waist, under the bodice or even as hair decorations in some modern day weddings. The band is there to announce the coming of the bride. As well as there being superstitions around the belt, the bells are to scare of werewolves, tailed and evil spirits. Also encourage health.
- striped coat: made of cloth woven with striped or if that’s not possible made from several panels of colorful fabric. In the past especially poor or short notice ones are made by hanging strips of fabric from the bell belt. Though modesty decretive in the modern era the bodice of the past was often made from hardened leather or even metal. Forming something like a breastplate of armor. This is thought to have once just been armor one the past as there where a lot of warriors from here back in the day. A similar tradition of wearing wedding armor exists in Leona though no one is certain if it this originated in scalipia or julner.
Finally the Mournic wedding attire. Often a loose fitting dress (light colors, though not necessarily white) tied with a belt. Now the more important parts of the atire are the accessories. The shum cap, the starweaven cloth veal and hangs, and the ansesrol shawl. Do note this is a much less universal costume to mournic compared to the previous two for their regions.
-shum cap, small bowl like hat worn with golden twine to tie into the hair. It is seposibly able to ward off werewolves. Or if the bride is marrying a werewolf in hiding legend says that the golden twine will unravel and cut the creature before the bond can be legally sealed. Then of course legend continuous on about how the attendees of the wedding will brutally despose of the creature. (Lovely/s)
- starcloth: a shiny thin material that represents the devotion of the bride to time and to the goddess Praxis. Other kinds of veils are worn by different religious groups of Mournic, such as the stitched eye by the cult of the seer, a rose woven for luelless, a rain veil for the goddess iris, a white fringe for devotees of Pandora and neijfjel, a spidershrowd for the god fiveiist and his two wives. A grey veil for organdi the kin killer, yellow for hastuth, a half veil for babayaga, or black laced vails for devotees to the dragon queens and the divine chiors, so on and so fourth. veils are common practice.
-the Ansesrol shawl, often passed on in famalies, worn around the shoulders and decorated with symbols of friends and family. It plays a role in the ceremony itself as the tie that binds.

Werewolves
these bois. I best describe them. these bois are trouble. so werewolfism is a condition that exist in music box, not only dose it exist but it is relatively common, also incurable. once a person becomes a werewolf there is no going back. now they way a person goes about becoming a werewolf is quite typical. A person has to be bitten. not bitten by a werewolf though as most werewolf bites will not cause a person to become a werewolf. It is the bite of a creature called a Tailed, that will turn a person into a werewolf. as soon as the bloodstream is reached the werewolf transformation will begin. now there are a lot of kinds of werewolves. generally divided into three large categories. - in Control: consciously in control of body and mind - Catalyst: requires a catalyst of sorts to trigger transformation - Controlled: generally stuck in werewolf form, can be mentally puppeted by tailed. there is also what is called full-form, and half-form. which is the most wide spread form of categorizing and refers to how much or how dramatic the transformation of the body is. another way of identifying and categorizing werewolves is by alphabetic system, developed used by werewolf studies in Lenora. it is much more in depth about specific forms of werewolfism. (I know but anyways)
-Alpha: the carriers: one of the most common kinds of werewolf. these werewolf will have no physical or mental change. for all intents and porpoises their lives will continue as normal before they got bitten by the tailed. the only thing that changes is involving reproduction. tailed don't have functioning reproductive systems of their own, so the species hijacks that of other species. cucu-nesting the body. any children that these werewolves sire will be born as tailed. other kinds of werewolves tend to not want to attack theses werewolves. often becoming protective of them.
-Beta: trinket bearers: when bitten theses werewolves have part of themselves split away from themselves. this split off portion will seal itself off in some kind of item that the person is carrying on them at that time.they will know that their other portion is in this item. wearing this item will allow the werewolf to freely transform between an animalistic form, a monstrous hybrid form and simply gaining certain animalistic features. while their item is nearby their body will heal from wounds and sense the magic in their surroundings. destroying this item will destroy their powers and soon after kill them. if a non werewolf wears the werewolve’s trinket it will transform them into an animal and can not be transformed back outside of magical means. (The trinket will likely be one of emotional significance to the bearer. The item may also slows down in aging to match the werecreature rate of aging but all other normal means of destroying the item work)
-Gama: lupine eyed: after being bitten these werewolves will have only a minimal change to their physical appearance. their eyes will become animalistic. this change will sharpen their senses and increase there strength. many lupine eye will find themselves able sense the presence of others werewolves and communicate with them mentally and in thier dreams. some of the most dangerous ones are able control the actions of other werewolves ( in the controlled type.)
-Delta: mist monsters: their bodies remain the same as they where prior to being bitten. what they can do is summon phantasmal mist like forms that surrounds their body, forming things like ears to hear better. teeth to bite, and claws to slash. the most powerful ones can turn their entire bodies to mist and move around in such a form. they are generally fast in their movements.
-Epsilon: Beast walker: what would typically be thought of as a werewolf. they are able to transform into a giant version of a kind of animal. they have a low form of empathic telepathy that they us to communicate with other beast walkers. Thier children seem to inherit their abilities as well. Many think that the beast walkers are how animal demons came to be. Though there is not much evidence of that. they are often very violent and dangerous right after their transformation.
-Zeta: the beast: when transformed they take on a bipedal monstrous form (notedly only bipedal if their base creature is bipedal, a centaur will still walk on all fours but the upper half of the body will transform) they have mixed control of this. Rarely having control when they begin but as they learn to control their emotions and themselves they gain more practice.
-Eta: Feral folk: do not have much of a transformation. their fingernails or claws elongate and become coated in iron. their teeth elongate and senses sharpen but otherwise remain as they where when not a werewolf.
-Theta: Wolf Man: they are similar to the feral folk. But their transformation is more extreme. They are not always in full control of the transformation but outside of the presence of their full moon or forced transform by the presence of a tailed (especially their own), a lupine eye who can control them, or their own pack members forcing a transformation. The wolf man as they are nicknamed can bite and infect others to become wolf men as well. They have their own hierarchy and subtypes. Their children are often also werewolves.
-Iota: the cynocephaly, or lichen, with an animalistic face, but a body that remains mostly the same prior to being bitten. their transformation is tied to the moon(s) that was closest to full when bitten. once transformed they will remain transformed for several days (3-7) before returning to their original form.
-Kappa: Pelt walkers: rather heinous werewolves. they use the pelts and skins of slain foes to transform into those creatures and people. They are excellent at mimicking voices and sounds. when not wearing a pelt they can still access a transformation similar to that of feral folk.
-Lambda: WIP will be edited
-Mu: Dream walkers: the trigger for the transformation is the werewolf falling asleep. when they fall into dreams they project a magic from of an animal that they can roam around as.

-Omicrom: WIP will be edited
-Pi: Twin wolves: with the ability to turn into a regular werewolf form, but also poses the ability to mimic and replace other people, taking on their identity. Doppelgängers of sorts. Though mirrors tend to reveal their deceptions.
-Po: WIP will be edited
-Sigma: lunar wolf, a variant that's like the ghost wolf but when they shift, because they lose most of their physical form, they also lose most of their mind. They wander, aimlessly, confused, until they eventually shift back. They are lost souls and often stay in this void state for seven years.
-Tau: Zemzina: mindless and willless. they rarely form naturally and are gently a deliberate choice of the tailed to create. they are under the full command of thier tailed or if the tailed is not around certain kinds of werewolves like luped eye and wolf men.
-Upsilon: ghost wolf: similar to the dream walkers but are not in control of thier night time escapades. Ghost wolfs communes with spirits in some ways. Making magical contracts and with concentration able to send a phantom wolf form out from themselves. If they are not able to do this they have shape nails and teeth to defend themselves.
-Phi: they seasonal: once they transform they will stay transformed for long periods of time. From as short to a few weeks to as long as seven years.
-Chi: the frenrir: huge in size, they take on features found in hellhounds, though some part of thier body can not transform as it should. they often do not have tails, their face may remain unchanged, or thier hands if they have them. they can usually transform by choice, though the presence : able to take on monster forms. They can understand the forest, but they tend to have hands and feet still reminiscent of thier other form separating them from actual hellhounds. Frenrir werewolves tend to “unlock” inate magic normal to them in thier original form

the costmirian mountains. the mountains that border the eastern side of the sand sea and reaches all the way down to cape of death. its a rather dry and overall difficult to live in. there are on the other hand a great number of fertile river vallies or of flourishing gorges.
these mountains is considered to be difficult to pass, in part due to quickly changing weather, temperature extremes between the night time and daytime, the sometimes steep cliffs and passes. the other major reason is the locals. there is a rainy season that occurs every three to four years, and results in an abondance of life.
because of how steep some of the cliffs are a lot of towns are built into the the cliffs, though it might be easier to build on top of some of the platues but the winds and heat often make quick work of any taller buildings.
now as mentioned before, locals are one of the reasons the areia is not recommended traveling through. the Arachne and the Gorgans also- called serphentines- are at near constant war with each other. arechne tend to make their homes in gorges and in underground caverns, gorgans try to take less steep regions but often build massive decretive and defensive hive cities. why they are fighting depends on time, tribe, and terretory.
demilions carve thier homes on the sheer drops of cliffs.
eventually railroads where laid to make travel in this region easier.
this region also plays host to the Valley of Time in the northern most area of the terretory. which is a strange place full of magic. its not as much of a valley as it is a sinkhole.
common species of the region
-gorgans, as mentioned above the gorgans live in the region
-arechne, they too live in the region. they range from a few feet in hight up to being larger than a horse.
-demilions. the demilions of the region are known to be rather human like.
-star beasts. because of the valley of time there are a lot of star beasts.
-liama, the lion-bodied centaures. they are more consentrated to the northern mountains
-mountain goats, so many mountain goats, one of the major large prey animals in the region.
-elven, humanoids with pointy ears. thier population actully have a higher population of men over women.
- reapers, and reaper animals. a kind of demon kin who can make their bodies into living bony weapons. they populate the south more
-cactus cats, they are bobcat sized with spiny quills like a porcupine, durring the rainy season their fur gains a greenish tint.
-colorful butterfly birds, they often migrate up from the bobda forest on the cape of death to feest off of insects and flowers that flurish after the rainy season.

A quick idea on the more official names for the layers of the endless forest mot including the rare fifth and sixth layers
First layer = the Phasing forest
Second layer = the Shade
Third layer = the Penumbra
Fourth layer= the Abyss
Not show here
Fifth layer= the Calidoscopio
Sixth Layer = the Limbo
None of these are official names yet but rather pleasant WIP
I’ve also been working on something called the void and Vessel ways
The void is some kind of spirit realm but also not really.
The Vessel ways are paths with in the endless forest that are safe to travel and can often lead you through the forest at speeds that would not normally be possible. But if one is on a vessel way it is incredibly dangerous to step off the path.

So I’m learning how to draw city maps, here are some of my practice maps these are all cities in scalpia
Map 1 ( incomplete) Rosera, a city of roses, it is located on the bordering regions between the dry lands and a region called the great green. The city often act as one of the last stops before travelers head into the dry lands and the junction market is filled with wonderful items that are from both the regions the city borders. Below the bluff the main city sits on are deep water holes and grottoes that are fed by underground freshwater springs. Windmills dot the land as well.
Map 2, Soatna. Once a city that housed dragons as evident by the dragon towers that where there once used as landing and take off platforms for dragons when such beast existed. In the current day the platforms are used by any number of flying creatures, like wyverns or harpies. The city is host to a train station and is located deep in the great green. The canyon the city is next to is mined for its resources
Map 3, atsia, a port city known for its pharmaceuticals and “toothpast” they make it’s a rather religious city, and prospers because of its port. The city is in the sea states region (this is the first practice map I made)
Map 4, norgat, a city that sits right next to the first layer of the endless forest. It is technically in the great green. The city is often used to train soliders that come from many of the surrounding countries. The city has a bit of a taild and werewolf issue. The rouge city was built to keep social out casts out of the main city walls. The current mayor is rather anti-magic but due to the high Fay population is still tolorent of forest worship. The city is home to a lot of water mill factories. They have a river boat to cross the river.
