Did yall notice how she gets high off the lavender haze (STONER TAYLOR FTW) and then crawls in the lavender to walk towards the midnight rain easter egg ? The fact that she pulled that open and showed us the world around her, in purple with koi fish, I'm losing my shit at the queer implications of that!!!

I also really love how she referenced both speak now and lover, her two explicitly queer themed albums with the fishbowl/koi fish scenes. The video was the definition of bisexual woman dating a man, and I loved it. It's such a beautiful concept, I love how there is magical elements in all of these videos because it really shows us the youthful qualities Taylor still possesses. I love magical realism as a genre so I love that in her "meet me at midnight" era, we are see the return of magic in her work.

I think it's truly beautiful that lavender haze mv references speak now so heavily because it confirms my suspicion that "you'll do whatever it takes to protect that haze" is about her past decisions/mistakes of choosing to be closeted and how now that she's living as a queer woman (represented by the lesbian colors of her top), she's able to fully be present in her relationship with Joe and I also like that she's learned that her love interests don't have to represent the people she's actually dated in her mv because we're seeing a lot of people who are marginalized in the industry be played as love interests in such a nonchalant way, I love it actually.

This is the type of change that has grown ever present since 1989 and I hope she continues it.

I love the vinyls being song titles of hers and I love that each song has a different cover that is thematic relevant. Like I said about the mastermind vinyl, it has constellations on it with her and Joe's signs and that's so fucking cute but like it's definitely the theme of that particular song and im convinced there is a mastermind music video I will not be taking further questions at this time

I also like that taylor kind of focused the video on her, even though she had friends around her and her boyfriend in a few scenes, most of the video was just her getting high and rolling around in Lavender and honestly SO ME TAYLOR.

I think the pool of her just being sexy as fuck was so necessary and put it in for me specifically and I thank her for her service. I will never ever get over this.

This was unnecessary, it's literally exactly how I picture lavender haze in my mind like she's literally getting high with Joe and dancing around and just living life in her little bedroom with him and it's so fucking !!!! I do wish we could have seen her in an explicitly queer scene because lavender haze is very obviously queer coded and I don't really like how hetlors are going to weaponize this video tbh and she should have thought of that while filming but the lesbian outfit honestly is more true to her situation with Joe, because she is very loud and queer but she is committed to him so I think once we have explicit confirmation of taylor coming out herself, it'll be really good bisexual representation.

I also really like the visual representation of her being sad and having that storm cloud above her, it's giving "the rain is always going to come, when you're standing with me" and "every single thing I touch becomes sick with sadness" and I just really like how by the end of it, the cloud is bigger but white and she escapes into it, like I think that was very cool and interesting to watch.

Overall, best music video she ever did. I loved it.

Rui’s mom brought his cousin home when they were kids, and she's lived with them since.

There’s an air of mystery to Mafuyu, since she doesn’t open up or speak of her past. Asking too much makes her shut down, so it’s best not to get too curious (Rui struggles with this, but tries his best to respect Mafuyu’s boundaries).

Mafuyu often tags along with Rui and their friends to keep an eye on him, or make sure Mizuki doesn’t cause problems with him.

She does spend a fair amount of time by herself when they’re out of school, trying to find her song for siren training, but she’s had zero luck so far.

She has a non-siren friend who’s been trying to help her with her song, but no one’s met this friend yet…

Mafuyu does have trouble with her siren training, but she still tries to be a somewhat good student, otherwise.

I did keep it somewhat similar to her original design, but with more details, and I added longer sleeves based on her Engeki costume, cause I love both Engeki and Saisei sm hehe

Funnily enough, this time I struggled with coloring her tail more than I did drawing it. I wanted to keep the coloring close to the original, but I also didn't want to figure out what texture I used, so I had to play around with the colors until I got something I was happy with.

And I thought it would be a fun little easter egg of sorts to name her music sheet 'Untitled' since she hasn't felt a pull for her song yet in the story for her siren training!

Uhh... I'm not sure what else to say about her design, so I'll probably leave it at that 😅

Tsukasa should be up next for me to redesign, although I think I'll start on that once I finish writing chapter 7, which is about 1.7k words so far, I believe (there's still quite a bit left for me to write for it, tho)? There's also a scene from chapter 4 I want to try drawing before I post chapter 6, if I can pull it off lol

wow it's interesting to see all those similarities! I think that one of my fac things with languages is finding those little things, or when you recognize a word without knowing it before because it looks/sounds similar to what you are used to ^^

For the "ça me tue" you can't remove the "ça", it's creating a contexte for the phrase, "ça" being the situation! If you say "mdrrrr il est tombé (lmaooo he fell) ça me tue ahahah " the "ça" is used to say that you are talking about what's in green!

if you are looking at a cool tee-shirt and your friend is asking your opinion, when saying "ça tue", ça refers to the shirt. If you are listening to good music, it refers to the music etc...

One thing I can say is that etoiles's culture stream in less that 2 hours and ça va être une tuerie !!!

You were left to think of what Uraume told you, said in such an unsentimental manner that one would have thought that they were just talking about something trivial. But it got you thinking of so many things all at the same time, perplexed about the meaning behind those simple words, thrown out in the wind, free for interpretation.

However, you were no longer able to ask as the others returned, Choso immediately slinging an arm over your shoulder and asking after you. “You look flushed. Are you okay, Y/N?”

“Y-yes, thank you.” Your eyes immediately flicked to Sukuna who was standing beside Uraume, and you felt your face heating up all the more when he smiled at you. “It’s just really hot.”

“You sure?" he asked, snickering. You knew what he was getting at, but you didn't say anything.

“Hi, princess,” Naoya greeted, blocking your view of Sukuna.

You thought he was nice although he could be rather full of himself. It wasn’t in an annoying way, just in a funny, disarming way. Noisy, too. “Hi.”

“Call me Naoya.”

You nodded but you did not say it, suddenly remembering your confliction about what Uraume told you. You did notice it, too, the way everyone called Sukuna by his last name. Everyone just referred to him as “Ryomen,” and you pondered on whether it meant anything that you’re the only one who called him by his birth name.

The thoughts plagued you even as you sat in the car, your eyes remaining trained on him in the tense silence that seemed to have followed your last words when he asked you if you were ready to go home. You still couldn’t shake the same feeling you had earlier when you were watching him play, your senses seemingly hyper-aware of every single detail of him. Your heart felt full as the afternoon sun shone through the windows, touching his being that you thought, if you blinked, he’d disappear like a mirage.

It was the case up to the moment he parked on the spot next to where your own car had been sitting in the garage since the accident. It was gathering dust, but you have grown accustomed to the passenger side of Sukuna's car, the apple-cinammon air freshener he used and the feeling of having someone to talk to and laugh with while going places.

You didn't like the idea of driving on your own anymore, always alone inside your car.

I loooove the urban style of the credits😍😍💕💕the references and ghe music!

So I noticed a few things in the end credits of the falcon and the winter soldier and I wanted to share them with you guys.

The credits all had different "Easter eggs" (if I could call them that) before the credits were given. Here is an example.
