May 2024 - With Eurovision coming up, and the fascist state of Israel being allowed to pinkwash their genocide of the Palestinian people once again, let's remember Icelandic anti-capitalist band Hatari who showed their support for Palestine in 2019 when Eurovision was being held in Tel Aviv, and were fined for it (€5000,- lmao). Later that same month they brought out the pro-Palestinian song Klefi / Samed (صامد) together with Palestinian artist Bashar Murad.

anyway, the BDS movement is calling for a boycott of Eurovision 2024!

The non-replica production of Frozen that premiered in Norway has moved on to Iceland. Some details - especially Elsa’s blue ice dress - has been revamped, and I like the new look a lot. Costume design by Christina Lovery, sets by Börkur Jónsson.

reasons:

iceland wants to be his own dude but doesn't want to admit he likes hanging out with the others (shows up to nordic stuff even whwn he could easily skip, said yes to Malaysia inviting him over, only didnt talk in the food exchange convo becauae no one knew his food but still hung around them anyways). Fun fact: violists ar esurpeisingly needed ina lot ofusical stuff because they can go into the juicy middle range but also play up high like a violin and there's less people who play it. So violists will often get chased down just to play for something. Very eaay to stand out but still be a par tof somwthing- iceland doesn't want to get buried undee the others.

plus, he fits the vibe. He's a little overlooked, he's a little quiet but will follow with the ride, he's mostly here for vibes. He's going to show off when people finally notice him but he's also fine with being the glue holding something (cough cough cold war cod war nato) together. Violas are few but theymre always in demand becuase without them someone else has to take the beat (or rather, off beat) in orchestral music.
