Lately I've found that listening to lofi study music while writing has been helping me immensely.

It gives my brain something to focus on while writing or if I need a moment to pause. I haven't tried this with drawing yet but I'm definitely going to the next time I decide to draw!

lol music is so great. I've been irritable for no reason today. This song came up on my playlist and precisely at the 30 second mark I started smiling and now I'm in a great mood.

Shoutout to antidepressants 😭 I went from 19k minutes of listening last year to 30k minutes this year. This was my first full year on a higher dosage of Prozac and I guess you can say it’s working lmao

I find something comforting about humanity is when you see on a song that a ton of people skip to that part, it will usually either be insanely good or insanely caring. 2085 is a great song (to me) by AJR, it can be heard here:

If you look at the skip data though, it shows people join around a near or right after the 4 min mark

And as the singer goes through this relatable grievances in ones self as a younger person and goes over the story and the mental shift to help to self harm to self improvement (as it read to me and insanely reduced) is amazing. And I love that people not only knows this singer knows, and a lot of other people do too. It's NORMAL.

And yea, I know other musicians did it before, but isn't that good? That we can still write songs that resonate with people? That there is enough empathy in the world for people with a voice to open up to the world to say "You are not alone"

I hope musicians always have, and always will write songs like that. That people say "I am seen".
