Please Help Me Find This Mysterious Song
Tumblr, I do not do this often, but please please can you help me with this? I know you are better than other websites who have all failed me so far... For many years I have been looking (alas, in vain) for a certain song. Very likely a novelty one, though I do not know – I have never caught its name nor the name of the singer. I heard it once or twice on a radio station which only aired retro songs, so it was probably from 1960–80s. Now this one song was sung from a first-person perspective – the singer (almost as desperate as I am) was a classical violinist who longed to be a rock n roll star, which is what he soulfully crooned in the refrain. It was a fun, bittersweet song and always reminded me of Kinks stylewise (though it is very likely not their song).
Nobody seems to know this song, no website or forum dedicated for searching for lost songs has ever helped me, whenever I type in the snippets of the lyrics I remember (for example, something like "the duke told the duchess that he thought that I had talent, the duchess winked at me and said Oh yes, it's quite apparent"), Google pretends it has never heard of it. But I know it exists (I have a witness who heard it with me) and I MUST find it. I will not have peace to die until I find this song. I will continue haunting this Earth as a mournful wraith unless I find it, which is a distressing notion.
Do you have any idea what it might be?
(My eternal gratitude for reblogs.) EDIT (30/11/2023): I think I might have lead all of you astray with the focus on duke and duchess. They are not that important, really. The singer himself, his desire to be a rock n roll star while he is stuck playing classical violin is the important part. But thank you all and please keep this post going, maybe someone will remember what godforgotten old song this is...

Looking for music (with lyrics not just instrumental) recs that give pirate vibes (and not just straight up shanties), or dramatic fantasy revenge vibes or high epic or being resurrected vibes or made a deal with something evil vibes or idk, like there's a vibe but it's very wide due to campaign lore, but a few examples on the playlist so far, so like songs like these vibes:
Tale of the Shadow - Sail North
Become the Beast - Karliene
Ship in a Bottle - fin
Monster - Jorge Rivera-Herrans
Rule #21 Momento Mori - Fish in a Birdcage
Rule #27 Drunk on Pride - Fish in a Birdcage
Abandon Ship - Fin
Villains Aren't Born (They're Made) - PEGGY
Northwest Passage - Pirates For Sail
Unsinkable - Sail North
Oak & Ash & Thorn - The Longest Johns
You're Not Welcome - Naethan Apollo
———
So I guess what I'm really looking for are songs like Sail North's, fin's and that Epic Musical but the others too, you know, vibes, tempo, sound all that 😭 even though they all differ. Also I have more songs on the list but don't want to type them all

Can anybody help me out?
I recently discovered Epic The Musical, and I adore the song Open Arms. I'm trying to make the line "This life is amazing, when you greet it with open arms" (2:48 in the song) into my island tune on Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Nothing is sounding right, and I know that its hard to get an accurate match, but I thought if I could find sheet music, I could try to work off of that? Does anybody have any sheet music for that part of the song? Every time I Google it, I get Open Arms by Journey instead. (Good song, don't get me wrong- but it ain't my boy Polites 😤)
Alternatively, has anybody had the same thought and successfully made the Island tune that they'd be willing to share?
Anything close is appreciated!
Thanks in advance, and if I figure it out, I'll reblog with the final result!

the urge to make boss music for Malorie (my OC for those coming from the tags and not already knowing me) because I have the EXACT sound in mind for every instrument in the symphony but Ultrabox isn't good for much besides chiptune (I love Ultrabox, I make stuff on it it's just not good for authentic sounding orchestral music) Also I'm too impatient to learn Musescore because even as a band kid I still suck at reading sheet music my learning type is so weird I need subtitles for movies and take in lots of visual info but when it's music, I thrive in anything BUT sheet music someonepleasehelpiwannamakeamusic

I have made several winter related playlists because wintertime is my favorite season. There is the main Winter playlist, the Winter Solstice Sonics, a holiday-season-that-is-not-traditional-US-Christmas-music list, etc. I am asking everyone for their help to add to the below playlist specifically. It would be so lovely to know what songs specifically about winter YOU love. If you could share it around, that would also be so great. The more, the merrier!
You can find my list so far here: https://music.apple.com/us/playlist/winter/pl.u-DdANGdqFGj094

Chant before Zeus' part in God Games
Hey, can anyone help me identify what the chant before Zeus' part in God Games is? My sister pointed out that it's a sample (she recognized it immediately since the same sample was used in Gottasadae by BewhY), and she wants to know what chant it is
youtube
time stamp for the god games section
youtube
and it's right at the beginning for Gottasadae
I don't think it's in Latin, and it's certainly got too many parts to be a gregorian chant or something like that. My current theory is that it's a clip from a sampling website that you can pay to use in your own music, but I don't have a way to confirm that.

In the Harsh Sun version of Still Here, how did you get that metal screaming effect on Solaria? I don't really plan on using it myself but ever since I first heard it from UTSU-P I've just been really curious as to how it works.
so this will require a bit of advanced knowledge of your DAW, since it requires you to link two FX Inserts to a master Insert, but essentially, you're setting up a vocoder with the source vocal in the modulator, and the same vocal using the Charsiesis VST as the carrier. here's the tricky part: the key to working with Charsiesis is all in the filter. there's the usual growl/guttural which you can set rate range and min delay settings, but if you want some resonance and/or BEEF in that scream or growl, most of your hardest battles will be against the hi-pass and lo-pass filters, along with setting their respective resonances, and setting pre-gain to set pitch tolerance. don't go too overboard, though, or it'll sound like your poor vocal's trying to tune to an AM frequency radio. also not sure which vocoders would work well with this method, as i'm using MORPH 2 as my vocoder of choice, which is not exactly free. i'll be looking into experimenting with other vocoders like Vocodex to see if it is viable at all. if anyone knows of free vocoder VSTs, do let me know. -_-;
also i'm learning Patcher in FL Studio, so there are some advanced things i could go REALLY deep into regarding Charsiesis, but these are just the basics.
might not be how Utsu-P does it, but this is the method i usually use when making those screams.
