Hear my Perish Song… Hear my Perish Song…” Trailing behind the small shrine maiden would be countless “Flickering lights” all moving down towards the lower catacombs of Lavender Town. Whatever Vic ended up walking in on it’s probably best if he takes that sight to his grave.

It was nothing new for him to do small delivery requests around Saffron City and its neighbors, it was a way to make some quick money.

After leaving the parcel to the receptionist, receiving his payment, and said his goodbyes, Vic was about to leave the Pokémon Tower until he heard what-it-seemed-to be someone's melody at the higher floor.

That voice, it sounded familiar. And from the end of staircase, Vic could already see what was going on, something that he shouldn't interfere, especially when these flickering lights slowly descended and went through the floor. This might be for the best he simply took his leave and pretended he saw nothing.

With a job well done, he immediately went for his bed and slept during the remainder of the night.

The next day, there was another delivery job to Lavender Town that he accepted, this one quite early in the morning. Upon arrival, Vic spotted a familiar face. Once again.

"Yo, Aruna." The mercenary simply gave her a two-finger wave as a little greeting. "What's up?"

babe :((,, it's gonna be okay, i know you try really hard to please people and live up to your own expectations, but please take a break. i know what it's like to work non stop and burnout is not pretty. sometimes it's okay to admit that you still have work, and take a break anyway. you're human and you can't keep running on energy drinks and self deprecating humor. believe me, i have been there. maybe stop staring at your phone screen and take a nap. trust me on this one. put on some noise canceling headphones, grab a glass of water with a couple of ice cubes, and take a nap or something. watch your favorite tv show. i love you and i know you can get through this, okay?
