she’s the middle child in a family composed of two very artistic parents and three daughters who couldn’t possibly be any more different from each other. except that, typically enough, in a lot of ways, she turned out to be the perfect balance between her older and younger sister. it never really bothered her, though. she’s proud of her sisters and of her parents, and has always considered comparisons to them to be praise rather than a lack of understanding.

to be fair, though, she always kind of was the trouble child growing up. she never was the cause of life-changing problems, sure, but at the end of the day, it’d always been hard for jaehwa to think before she acted and it definitely has caught up to her from time to time. and time and time again, she has reflected on it to try and figure out how to grow from it all... has she put those thoughts into action? maybe not all the time, and maybe not properly, but she’s considered it, and isn’t that saying a lot? her issues have very rarely affected people other than her (or so she’s always assumed), so is it really a problem?

and really, she’s calmed down a lot in the last few year. she’s still reckless, and still acts before thinking most of the time, but it rarely ever leads to too much trouble these days.

she’s always willing to help, and is always volunteering before anyone ever even gets the chance to ask. she never judges or looks down on those she helps, and to her, helping people is a sign of respect and not of pity. as long as she’s not the one who needs help, that is… (she’d rather scream and throw herself against a tree instead of asking for help, which can sometimes be a bit of a problem.)

she’s extremely sociable, and truly does enjoy being a waitress for the opportunities it gives her to interact with people… and because it gives her a chance to listen in on people’s conversations and find out things she might not have found out otherwise. fact is, she can’t stand feeling like she’s out of the loop, and if the loop in question is none of her business whatsoever, she doesn’t care; she has to know all there is to know. and, really, at the end of the day, she never really does anything with that information, but she needs to feel like she’s in the know.

when she was little, she wanted to fly. then, as a teen, she decided that she’d learn to breathe underwater. and in her twenties, she swore she’d find a way to get taller. — jaehwa’s always had unattainable goals and dreams; it’s how she manages to get through life with a smile on her face. where dreams are involved, there’s always hope, and that’s what’s always mattered most to her.

jaehwa falls in love very easily. a bit too easily, actually, considering the fact that she never truly falls out of said love... she loves ardently, passionately and truly; and although it might be somewhat easy for her to turn her own unrequited romantic love into platonic love, that never truly makes the heartbreak any less painful. and yet, she’s grown used to it. sometimes, it’s easier to love oh so openly than to pretend you’re wearing any kind of armour.

what are your muse’s current goals and motivations?

Nayoung wants to be able to get more confident in herself. at a certain point when she was younger, around the time prior to or around when she joined the company, she was much more confident, but some where along the way, some things tumbled and crumbled, and she does not feel nearly as secure within what she wants to do, and what she wants to head towards. She’s motivated by her future, and how she does enjoy what she’s doing right now. She’s also trying not to focus too heavily on it, despite her life revolving around it. It’s a bit difficult to balance. 

do you think your muse has accomplished any of their goals mentioned above? if so, how did they do it? if not, what do you think could help them accomplish that goal?

Not really, it’s something she’s only recently gotten aware of, especially since she was in LA and Tokyo. She felt so uncomfortable within her own skin, although the language barrier was a huge contribution but she saw that some of the other trainees did not have the same reaction to being in a foreign country. And this is an industry where being in a foreign country is going to happen quite a lot, as artists tour, and have online fan meets, collaborations with people from different countries. Secondly, she’s trying to handle her school/life/’work’ balance, but she and Jaehwa will be graduating pretty soon, so that will be a load off her stressors. In a way, it will work itself out. 

describe one significant memory that has happened to your muse during this trimester (positive or negative).

Having free time overseas with her friends. She’s so thankful that the trainees she is good friends were able to travel with her. Although they may not have necessarily been attached at the hip, even if it was grabbing a snack at the convenience store with Milan that they couldn’t get back home, or going a little crazy in the sensory overload of shops all cluttered along in the heart of Tokyo with Dayeon, those are memories she will keep fondly for a long time to come. Unfortunately, by the time she got to LA, she was so exhausted from all the miscommunication with the outside world that - that is when she really got haggard from even wanting to speak or go outside during free time anymore, and she was so over it. She could physically feel herself give up - which is something she never wants to feel. But thankfully she was with Hyunhee at the time, and Hyunhee always knows how to bring her out of it, without making her feel stupid about anything. 

what is one thing you (as the mun) have learned about your muse throughout this trimester?

Nayoung is new this term, but I honestly thought she’d be different from where she turned out to be. I didn’t realize she’d turtle in to her shell so badly when she was overseas, I don’t think she’s that way in Korea or Mandarin speaking countries, but we will have to see. She’s honestly normally so bubbly in my head, but she completely clammed up in LA, and no translator apps could save her. She was truly thankful to be around those that were willing to distract her from it, or translate for her. Hopefully those language workshops didn’t go in one ear and out the other...

after almost 2 years, legacy is returning to the variety scene with new seasons of two shows, and producing two brand new onesn! to be able to participate in this opporunity, here are the general eligibility rules:

TRAINEES: trainees who have completed the VARIETY SHOW SPECIAL and have a minimum of 50 POINTS TOTAL in HOSTING and VARIETY as of tonight's ac ( BAE NATHAN, BAEK BYEONGKWAN, CARTER JAEJIN, HAN NOEUL, KANG YOOJOON, KURAMOTO MISAKI, KWON HYUNTAE, PARK CHAEKYUNG, PARK JAEKYUNG, PARK TAEHA, SUNG HANEUL, XU LILI, XUE YICHEN )

IDOLS & LGC AGENCY: any muse with a minimum of 30 POINTS TOTAL in HOSTING and VARIETY, except the mentors of workshop opportunity 002 ( GONG HYEJOO, KANG MAXIMILIAN, WON YEONWOO, and YAMASHITA ICHIKA )

[ SBS funE ] INTIMATE NOTE (LGC special) is a spin off of the original show which aired in 2008 and 2009, during which two individuals try to get closer through various segments. (ooc note: read here people who are awkward together)
