Sunset had been practicing her singing when she heard someone approach, and paused her singing to turn to who it was. "Oh, do you like my singing? I was practicing a bit since me and my friends tend to put on concerts." She said with a small smile.

·         PEN NAME:  Sparkle.

·         PRONOUNS:  He / him.

·         ZODIAC SIGN:  Capricorn. Literally do not give a single damn about zodiac signs but hearing about them and all that is interesting. I’m a goat.

·         TAKEN  OR  SINGLE:  Single. Would like to be taken but I don’t trust dating sites.

►  THREE FACTS  ...  ??

·         I have a certificate in Art and a diploma in Graphic Design !!

·         I grew up with the Playstation 2 and many of the games inspired me to pursue cartoons and animation as my passion. I also wish to make a video game one day because of their way to explore stories no other medium can.

·         My favorite video games are Kingdom Hearts 2, Metal Gear Rising, and Asura’s Wrath. One of my favorite movies is Shin Godzilla. Current favourite animes are Jujutsu Kaisen, Madoka Magica, and My Hero Academia. Most recent stuff I’ve watched is Oddtaxi, Spy X Family and Black Clover.

►  EXPERIENCE  ...  ??

·         PLATFORMS USED: Discord, tumblr and I used deviantart for the longest time until the update came along and made all the profiles look hideous. Place was also kinda dead so ... I tried my luck here. I also did Youtube roleplay when I was super young.

·         I started back in 2014-ish on deviantart playing Adagio Dazzle from MLP before going onto Peko, but if we want to be specific I’d say 2008 with Youtube RP with a group of three friends. We met up every day just to fuck around with DBZ fights and plots with muses of Sonic OCs and Pokemon OCs; it was amazing.

►   MUSE PREFERENCE  ...  ??

·         GENDER:  At first I didn’t think I had a preference, but then I realized all of my muses are ... girls. It never struck me at first, but I don’t know why  —  I just like girls.

·         LEAST FAVORITE FACE(S):  Personally, I don’t give a damn about face claims. As in I don’t care whoever you use - play them as a character however you want.

·         MULTI OR SINGLE:  I’ve used single accounts for the longest time, but I cannot recommend multi-muses enough. Not only do you not have to make a new page and set your shite everytime you want to try someone new, but even if they don’t work out it’s not a big deal.

►   FLUFF /  ANGST  /  SMUT  ...  ??

·         FLUFF:  Having times where muses calm down from the hardened persona’s a lot of them are crafted out to be to just be kind and relax with another soothes the soul. I don’t do them a lot compared to angst or memes, but just having a time for your muse to be happy tends to make me feel happier.

·         ANGST:  Angst is probably the most I’ve written out of these three ?? It is a lot of fun to consider the darker side of your muse and writing it out. I know everyone kinda does the meme of “ haha my muse about to have bad time ” but there is an interest of how dark you can be with your muse. Having them come out the other side is interesting.

·         SMUT:  I’ve done no smut in tumblr RP  -  mostly because of people’s rules and I mostly reserve anything lewd related. Also people are really really angry for certain muses doing lewd stuff. I don’t do any of that and I’m against minors doing lewd stuff. If I were to do smut RP, it be in Discord with close friends.

·         PLOT  /  MEMES:  I personally like to meme and plot! I think memes are easier since they’re more digestible and just ... kinda easier to think up on the spot. I love to talk plot with other people, but I tend to notice that plotted stuff gets dropped more frequently. I don’t know if that’s me or if I’m unlucky - but after talking so long about plots only for them to get dropped it’s kinda sad. I love plotting but I just don’t do it as much nowadays.

scene analysis from “Rainbow Rocks”: muse formation

Sonata’s anger. Little moments like this that showed Sonata was a bubbly character but when smacked or pushed she had an anger trigger. It’s teeny tiny and almost easy to miss. But I liked that hint of anger lurking under the surface. She showed it in her physical scuffle with Aria earlier on in the film. It was a petty fight but the fact that she didn’t just cry and run away but retaliated at insult  with a smack to Aria showed me that this character had some fire under that bubbly exterior.

Sonata being the oddball out when it comes to the group’s meaner behavior. However, not necessarily stopping them. In this scene she was still going right along with them helping in pushing along the battle of the bands. A character with moral qualms would have shown remorse or regret and not made faces like this:

throughout the film, as well as bully Sunset Shimmer in the first half of the story. However, as seen in the above gif, she is still shown to have a pleasant demeanor and genuinely enjoy her new classmates’ talent shows when the other Dazzlings laugh sardonically at it. Aria laughs more openly while Adagio tries to keep a polite laugh, saving face. However, both clearly think their act is better than the current performer. Sonata doesn’t seem to mind the music though.

My personal favorite next.

This told me so much about this trio honestly. Not only that Sonata and Aria had a daughter to mother relationship with Adagio, but that Adagio was running the show in more ways than just the leader of their singing group. She was master of their lives. She controlled even when fun time was over. Notice the worry in Aria’s face when Adagio signals that laughter should cease. Notice that Sonata’s eyes watch Adagio’s hand nearest to her as if waiting for something. This gave me ideas about what all of this could mean. What has Adagio done to these two in the past?

Finally, a moment which I forgot was so aggressive and actually scary in the film:

I actually got tense watching it again even without dialogue and Adagio’s voice. This is very important. Note that Adagio grabs Aria, invades her personal space and yanks her close. Her fist is even balled up. The saddest part is that Aria goes limp. She does not raise her arms in self-defense. Where is the girl who earlier had a scuffle with Sonata? Her eyes dart in fear until she’s caught simply staring Adagio in the eye and dominance is reassured. Adagio is in charge. 

It’s intense. I forgot how intense it was I suppose because no hits where actually thrown but that doesn’t make the forced eye contact and grabbing any less wrong. And it says a ton about their relationship. And the simple fact that Aria looks so used to it and so submissive to it is the sad part. I remember when I watched it remembering taking away that Aria was trained. But this just reconfirms that 110%.

if we’re talking tumblr, then tristana from league of legends would be my first muse on the site. i had a league phase going on and i was in love with tristana for her personality and fun gameplay. since the RP scene from deviantart was dead, i decided to move over to tumblr. it was good fun while it lasted, but i decided to move on to peko - where i met most of my tumblr pals i know today !!

if we’re talking OVERALL, than it would actually be a dragonball majin OC on deviantart. i got inspired from seeing prior RP accounts before the site updated and wanted to throw my hat in the ring for the first time. i was playing dragonball xenoverse a lot and i loved the majin characters, so i decided to make one majin gal for the site. it ... lasted less than a few weeks. then i moved onto an mlp character or two, prominently adagio dazzle, and then it was onto peko!

i think for muses that just didn’t work out for me, i think that’s roxanne / diantha. i LOVE them both to death despite how little justice the series gives them, and i just didn’t really get hooked onto their rps. it’s not that i didn’t get any, it’s more that they felt a bit plain - the way i was playing them. fantina is a whole different story, but i’m sad my poor girl roxanne never gets justice. not by pokemon cards, a SINGLE episode in pokemon and mostly relegated to an easy gym. #JusticeForRoxanne ( and as for diantha, at least the manga/anime gave her some justice. )
