Happy 26th Anniversary, The Powerpuff Girls

Today is the 26th Anniversary of...

The Powerpuff Girls!

It had been 26 years of when Professor Utonium had used sugar, spice, and everything to create the perfect, little girl... until Mojo Jojo when he was a little monkey made Utonium accidentally added an ingredient, to the concoction... Chemical X!

Thus, the Powerpuff Girls were born! Using their ultra superpowers, Blossom, commander and the leader, Bubbles, the joy and the laughter, and Buttercup, the toughest fighter had dedicated their lives to fighting crimes and the forces of evil!

They were called bug-eyed freaks at first since the movie where their origins were created, but when Mojo Jojo was attacking the city with his army, they became heroes defending the City of Townsville.

We must thank Craig McCracken for making these three into the lovable Cartoon Network All-Stars from our childhood.

So for today, I'm making an open roleplay for these three perfect little girls, and adding them to my multi-muse list.

Zim x bubbles ship AU

Title: Love in Doomsville

It was Valentine's Day in the unremarkable township of Doomsville, a place Zim abhorred with every fiber of his alien being. The dirt and rocky terrain, filled with "humans" that offended his delicate Irken sensibilities, were a far cry from the advanced worlds he dreamed of conquering. Mostly, he loathed the human children at school—each one with a head so fat it made him cringe. Except for Bubbles.

As the tedious class droned on, Zim occupied himself by inspecting his ruler, tapping it rhythmically against various parts of his body: his forehead, his bottom lip, his knee, and his desk. Maybe these simplistic tools held the secret to fitting in, he mused. If only he could figure out how to actually use them.

Just then, Miss Bitters, the eternally unimpressed teacher, noticed Bubbles, the cheerful blue Powerpuff girl, walking in late. “You’re late, Bubbles!” she snapped, her voice laced with disdain. “Take a seat next to Zim.”

Bubbles instantly locked eyes with Zim. Her heart raced wildly as romantic thoughts flooded her mind, and she gazed at him, her expression softening into a blissful smile. Just as she was lost in the moment, Cartman’s voice jolted her back to reality.

Cartman: “Hey! Earth to BubblePuff!! Are you just going to stand there staring at Zim or are you going to sit with him, you simp?”

Kyle: “Cartman, leave her alone.”

Dib Membrane: “...? This isn’t going to end well, is it?”

Bubbles: “....?! Oh, um... okay... yeah, sorry, I was just, uh...” (blushing slightly, she walked to her seat, feeling nervous and shy).

Zim turned, eyebrows raised, and immediately caught a glimpse of Bubbles' wide, innocent eyes. She looked nervous, her signature bubbly demeanor quivering at the edges. He couldn't help but snarl instinctively, but it faded when he noticed her giggle—a sound that rippled through the air like a soft breeze. Why did his heart stutter?

A moment passed, and Bubbles averted her gaze, turning a shade of pink. Intriguingly, Zim's face softened. How can this "human" affect him so? With her sparkly blue dress and carefree demeanor, she stood out against the drab backdrop of the classroom, hinting at a sweetness he had never noticed before.

As the school day droned on, Zim couldn't shake the feeling that there was something different about Bubbles. While he had always judged humans as irritating, the more he observed her, the less irritating she became. In fact, she seemed… nice.

Behind him, other students whispered, their voices loud enough for him to hear over the boring lecture. "Zim has been here for so long and it’s Valentine's Day, yet he still doesn’t have a lover," one kid snickered. Zim felt a prickling tension rise in his chest. How could they say that? Zim was normal!

His gaze fell on Bubbles, who was barely listening to the surrounding chatter. Perhaps she wasn’t like those tedious "worm babies" after all. Seizing the moment in a burst of unexpected bravery, he jumped up and wrapped his arm around her shoulder, totally disregarding her shocked expression.

"Behold!" he declared, pointing dramatically at Bubbles. "My beloved lover! I love BUBBLES THE BLUE BUBBLY POWERPUFF GIRL with all my heart!"

The classroom erupted into a chorus of gasps and laughter, Cartman too amused to restrain his mockery. Bubbles, her face now a bright crimson, tried to find words of her own but stumbled over her own nerves. Zim, for the first time in his earthbound life, felt embarrassed and unsure. What had he just done?

Later that day, Zim sat alone at home, contemplating the strange sensation welling up in his chest. He needed guidance. Rushing over to GIR, his unintentionally hilarious robot companion, he blurted out, “GIR! What is this… feeling? I think I might have fallen… in ‘true love’!”

GIR twirled joyfully, bursting with excitement. “Love is like magic, master! It’s like discovering the most perfect shiny wrapper! You need to show her just how much you care and how much you truly like her!”

Zim: ....?!! I... what...? Is this a typical human experience?! To feel "in love"?!

GIR: Hehehe, master! It’s like the movies! There’s this whole romantic vibe filled with affection and all that good stuff.

Zim: ....! Hmm... Anything affectionate and romantic...? Anything at all...? (He pondered, a mix of curiosity and disbelief written on his face.)

“Care?” That word felt alien in his mouth. The notion of nurturing a “crush” was still foreign to him. Yet, it seemed more plausible with Bubbles. As GIR spouted off random “human love rituals,” Zim felt strangely drawn to the idea of actually winning her heart.

In the days that followed, Zim delved into research on true love and started to flirt with Bubbles during class. Clearing his throat in a playful, seductive tone, he turned to her with a confident smirk.

"Hey there, gorgeous! You’re looking super cute this morning!"

Bubbles was taken aback, feeling both flattered and nervous. She tried to mask her anxiety with a cheerful giggle. "Um, thanks, I... guess...!!" Immediately, she covered her face as her cheeks flushed, turning a rosy shade.

Zim's smirk widened with intrigue as he realized his plan was working perfectly.

Cartman chimed in with a teasing laugh, "Ooooooh, look who's got a crush on the simp!"

"Can you just leave them alone?" Dipper interjected.

Throughout the rest of the day, Zim continued to execute his love strategy, finding creative ways to impress Bubbles. He shared drawings, poems, and love notes, even presenting her with unusual gifts from his collection of intergalactic treasures. Each time he spotted her blush, he felt a surge of happiness.

Bubbles loved Zim’s eccentricity, but she was still unsure about his feelings. Cartman didn’t miss a beat, grimly teasing her mercilessly every chance he got. Each ribbing made Bubbles flustered, but she held onto the belief that Zim might just be sincere.

Finally, one fateful day, she decided it was time for honesty. Heart racing and hands sweaty, she approached him after school in a secluded part of Doomsville park. Zim stood there, looking uncharacteristically nervous, his alien demeanor softening at her presence.

“Zim,” she stammered, lowering her gaze to collect her thoughts. “I... I have something to tell—”

Zim cut in, a playful glint in his eyes as he leaned closer, his demeanor flirtatious. “Come on, dear Bubbles, is there something special you’d like to tell me?”

Bubbles, her cheeks flushed, stumbled over her words. “Um... well...”

Zim moved in even closer, wrapping his arms around her in a romantic gesture. “Don’t hold back, cutie. I can handle any Powerpuff wisdom you’ve got tucked away in that cute little head of yours.”

Bubbles hesitated, her heart racing as she struggled to find the right words. “Well... d-do you...?” She paused, her nerves getting the better of her. “Do you have feelings for me?!” The moment the words escaped her lips, she instantly clamped her mouth shut, mortified by her own boldness.

The question hung in the air, heavy with implications. Zim gulped, all his bravado fading away as he met her gaze. “Bubbles, I… I believe I do. This ‘love’ thing has made me rethink my disapproval of this planet’s’ inhabitants.”

Bubbles' eyes sparkled with joy, her heart brimming with hope. "Really? I think I might love you too!"

Zim: ...! In that case—(He leaned in slowly, their faces drawing closer as he kissed her fervently.)

Bubbles gasped in surprise at the unexpected kiss, feeling a warm wave of relaxation wash over her as she kissed him back.

In that moment, the barriers between alien and human melted away. Zim, once so focused on conquering Earth, found something far more meaningful: a connection with Bubbles. And with her innocent laughter filling the air, perhaps Doomsville didn’t seem so tedious after all.

Fango and Adler are underrated and I decided to have them as muses originally on an older blog. Ra- Always thought he was a cool deity soooo. Zorc- Had fun with him influencing Ramses so I ended up making him a full on muse. Charles- Who doesn't love this man? Of course I had to pick up Charles. Fredrick- Cheese hat. Need I say more? Jaques- I found him an interesting past Toppat leader. Larry- Thought he'd be interesting to play. Sheriff- Cause yes. Whitty- Whole reason why I got into FNF and I think he's a cool character. Tricky- Tricky mod is what got me into Madness and boi was I right when I though this crazy fucker would be fun to play. And ofc I just had to have his minions and that gremlin. Tiky I just found cute. The Sheriff- Hmmm... don't know other than I just like him. Gestalt- Boi did he scare me in the game and I like some characters like that. Plus a cool looking monstrous big boi. V2/V4- Big bois and I like em. The Maker- I love star and galaxy stuff and instantly liked this deity the moment I saw him so how can I not rp him? White Hank- Bestie got Hank and I ended up liking White Hank so I added her. She's a lot of fun. Franziska- Picked her up cause she was my first fav AA character. Until I started liking Sebby. Sebastian- Still like him VERY much and I picked him up since he's a very fun character. Delicia- A fun and underrated character. I like her nicknaming thing too. Twinkle- How can I not pick up a tiny star fellow? I had to not long after I rolled him up and played as him in the game. biography :

sugar, spice, and everything nice; these were the ingredients chosen to create the perfect little girls, but professor utonium accidentally added an extra ingredient to the concoction--chemical x. thus, the powerpuff girls were born! using their ultra-super powers, blossom, bubbles, and buttercup have dedicated their lives to fighting crime and the forces of evil!

even as children, bubbles and her sisters understood the severity of their pledge to protect the city of townsville. it was the great responsibility that came with the great powers they possessed. still, it was a lot to put on a trio so young, and the years of crime fighting have left their mark on young bubbles.

following high school graduation, bubbles has taken a step back from the constant fight against evil. sure, she’ll still go out and beat down the occasional bad guy, but after a stolen childhood serving the towns needs, it was time to see to her own.

Suptober 2022 Wrap-Up and Highlights

for this year's suptober (my third year participating) I unfortunately didn't get to finish all the prompts, but i did get 24/31 done. overall, i think it was a pretty successful month. i finally got a drawing tablet, so i focused entirely on digital art this year, and you can definitely see my improvement through the month as i started to learn the different tools. i think my quality has also gotten a bit more consistent, although i'm still trying to find a real style. this year was definitely my most successful notes wise with multiple of my pieces reaching 100+ notes (which for how few followers i have is a lot lol). i had a great time and loved seeing everyone's creations and i look forward to working on more digital art. i also have a playlist with all the songs i used here. you can follow my art blog @girlinthemirrorbluenight-library to see all my creations.

With you, everything was so put together. When you reached a certain age, you started feeling the need to be in control. Whether it was being on time, keeping the refrigerator clutter free, or color coding your closet, everything was neat and organized.

When you were a kid, you were very eccentric. You didn’t have a care in the world what anyone thought of you. You simply didn’t have time to care about what people thought of you, too busy in your own exciting world that existed in your mind.

However, with an overbearing mother who held you on a pedestal, you overtime molded into the perfect child, keeping everything within control. Then, as the world hardened you bit by bit, you just kind of lost the person you used to be.

And then you met Taehyung.

Taehyung was everything you wished you could be. He was free. Unabashedly and unapologetically himself. Creativity radiated from him.

You, on the other hand, had a difficult time shutting off the control freak. Taehyung called what you considered to be your inability to let go “composure” and “stability”, saying things like, “I admire your ability to remain composed. You give our lives stability.” However, he could tell you wanted to break out of your shell. You just didn’t know how to allow yourself the freedom to do so.

He made efforts to pull you out of your comfort zone, without making you truly uncomfortable, such as dragging you along late-night strolls, visiting the local playground, and dancing to jazz music at 3 am in your kitchen.

A long time ago, you would have found it strange that he was asking you to meet him at his art studio at 2 am, but after dating him for a while, this had become normal. When you answered the phone, you were met with a giddy, “Peaches! Come to my studio, I want your company.”

Your reply, of course, was a whiny, “Tae, it’s so late.”

“Is it? I thought it was just very early,” he teased. “You like being early,” he added with a giggle. Biting on your lip to conceal a smile, you huffed.

“Fine, I’m on my way.”

About 25 minutes later, you were kicking your shoes off and stepping inside his studio, your eyes immediately finding the messy head of blue hair positioned in front of a brightly painted canvas.

“What are you working on, Angel?” You spoke gently through your slightly scratchy voice. Tae’s head whipped around, a wide grin spread across his face, happiness meeting every one of his features.

“Come here,” Spreading his arms wide, he excitedly walked towards you, meeting you halfway as he enveloped you into a big warm hug. As soon as you wrapped your arms around his waist, he sighed in content, squeezing your frame in his arms. “Will you just hang out with me for a bit?” He asked sweetly, almost shyly.

“Of course,” you smiled, pulling away to look up at his face. The vibration of the chuckle reverberating from his vocal chords tickled your lips when you pressed them to his Adam’s apple.

Planting a kiss to your forehead, he smiled against your skin. “Make yourself comfortable,” he whispered, his breath tickling your head. As he turned around and waked back to the canvas, decorated with a charcoal drawing of an abstract face, you smiled at how cute he could be. Looking around his studio, you inspected the new pieces he had created since the last time you’d hung out with him as he worked.

There were several drawings and paintings of abstract people, as well as a couple of portrayals of sunrises and sunsets. As you admired his work, you got kind of bashful as his collection of portraits of you caught your eye. You’d seen them before, but they made your heart race every time you looked at them.

All artists have their “muse”, and Tae claimed you were his, not only making paintings and drawings of you, but also writing songs about you, dedicating his favorite music to you, and constantly capturing you in photos.

Tae had five portraits of you so far: one of you reading, one of you cooking, one of you smiling with flowers in your hair, one of your nude form illuminated in the early morning sun as it shined through your window, and one with flowers blooming out of your head and heart.

Looking through them for the hundredth time at least, suddenly, your heart skipped a beat, your eyes widening in surprise when you saw a new addition to the collection of you. A portrait of you as a kid, wearing a big baggy shirt with a picture of Bubbles the Powerpuff Girl (your favorite one, and the one that you always said resembled Taehyung), messy bed hair standing on end, and colorful mismatched socks. You were sticking your tongue out as you held your hands in V shapes over your eyes.

You knew the photo he had used as a reference, though you hadn’t seen the photo in ages. Taehyung’s arms unexpectedly wrapped around your waist in a back hug, startling you for a moment before you settled into his embrace as he placed his chin on your shoulder. Pressing his lips to your jaw in a sweet kiss, he smiled. “This is one of my favorite photos of you,” he told you as he wiggled the photo that he held in his fingers, making you look down and quickly take it from him in excitement. “I just had to draw it. I was inspired.”

A grin pulled at your lips. “Where did you even find this?” Your eyes scanned the photo fondly. It was always one of your favorite photos of you.

“I found it at your house when we visited your family a couple months ago,” he giggled. “I kind of stole it.”

Your smile spread across your face as you peered over to look at your sweet boyfriend. “How did you even recognize it as me?”

Scrunching his eyebrows, he cocked his head. “What do you mean?”

“I’m a completely different person now,” you told him as if it were obvious. Taehyung immediately shook his head, negating your comment.

“You’re that same little munchkin,” he smiled fondly. “Peaches, I know you feel trapped inside your own mind sometimes. I personally admire how composed you are, but I can see that your control over yourself burdens you sometimes. But this happy and carefree little one is still inside you,” he reached up to lay his palm against your heart.

Frowning, you blinked back some tears. “How do I find them?”

“By letting go, just a little bit at a time.” Kissing your shoulder, he smiled affectionately. Nodding slowly, you cast your gaze to your feet. Lost in thought, it took you a moment before you noticed your socks. Mismatched. Putting two and two together, you realized he started mismatching your socks when he did laundry around the same time you visited your parents.

“You started mismatching my socks on purpose,” you spoke out loud, not quite a question but more of a verbal realization. A light chuckle vibrated against your shoulder as Taehyung’s boxy grin beamed up at you.

“Like I said, just a little bit at a time,” he whispered in his low timbre. Shaking your head in fond disbelief, a big stupid grin on your face, you looked back to the drawing. “You inspire me,” he said more seriously. “Maybe I can help you inspire yourself.”

Staring at the charcoal drawing, as you felt Taehyung’s words soften your heart, your eyes misted. “You know, this is one of my favorite photos of myself” you told him, making Taehyung look from the drawing to your face. “But I prefer your drawing.”

Lips forming into a stunning smile, his eyes twinkled with happiness. “Really?” He asked in surprise.
