Lyza’s Rough Chronology of Events: V1.1

What follows is my first draft of a timeline of many critical events in Lyza’s life and when I headcanon them as occurring. This list is subject to revision and additions as new information is plotted, headcanons are written, discrepancies are discovered, or canon contradicts.

If your muse has events that interact and influence Lyza’s timeline; whether they are canon, headcanon or otherwise, please feel free to engage me to discuss them and I can work them into my own list. : )

0 years old: 43 years ago

Lyza is born in Orth.

0-10 years old: 33-43 years ago

Lyza begins training as a delver at what will eventually become Belchero orphanage.

10 years old: 33 years go

Red whistle trainee. 

Enamored with the Abyss and White Whistles 

Lyza chases Ozen around Orth as her favourite hero. 

11 years old: 32 years ago

Recruited by Ozen as student, 

Ozen promotes Lyza to Blue Whistle. 

13 years old: 30 years ago

Ozen promotes Lyza to Moon Whistle.

17 years old: 26 years ago

Ozen promotes Lyza to Black Whistle.

Lyza discovers the components of Blaze Reap and claims them.

18 years old: 25 years ago

Lyza realizes her attraction to Ozen has become romantic. She initially struggles with the perception of improper feelings for a mentor figure.

20 years old: 23 years ago

Lyza believes she has overcome her insecurity about her feelings for Ozen.

Lyza crafts her White Whistle shortly after her 20th birthday.

Lyza’s mentor-ship with Ozen is formally completed.

Ozen shows Lyza the field of Eternal Fortunes on the bottom of the 4th layer as a present for her accomplishment.

Lyza proposes to Ozen, Ozen nervously brushes it off as a joke. As a result, their relationship becomes slightly more distant.

Lyza’s insecurity about her sexuality increases.

Timeline: Age of Legends Begins

21 years old: 22 years ago- 

Lyza’s exploits and youth as a white whistle cause her popularity to soar. She is officially sanctioned as Lyza the Exterminator, Lord of Annihilation.

Lyza assembles a personal team of delvers and begins to undergo solo delves separately from Ozen.

She continues to delve as a duo with Ozen.

22 years old: 21 years ago

Lyza’s previously moderate drinking habits increase and she develops a reputation as an alcoholic party girl. 

Lyza begins to experiment with frequent casual sex and open relationships.

26 years old: 17 years ago

Lyza recruits Torka.

28 years old: 15 years ago

Lyza begins dating Torka.

Lyza purchases the Curse Warding Box at private auction.

29 years old: 14 years ago

Lyza marries Torka.

30 years old: 13 years ago

Lyza and Torka conceive their child.

Lyza realizes she is pregnant, files for maternity leave from the association.

the 161st Special Relic Survey Expedition is assembled to retrieve the Unheard Bell. Lyza is obliged to attend despite her leave. 

Lyza requests Ozen carry the Curse Warding Box as a precaution.

Lyza and Ozen repel 12 consecutive Foreign Delver attacks with gradual losses.

The Unheard Bell is reached within the 4th layer.

Torka is killed when he takes a hit to shield Lyza during an ambush by a massive alliance of foreign delving teams.

161st Survey Expedition is decimated, leaving only Ozen and Lyza clinging to life as they escape.

Lyza encounters complications during labour in a damp cave on the 4th Layer. Ozen performs drastic measures to save Lyza at the cost of the newborn girl’s life.

Ozen places the stillborn infant in the Curse Warding Box and revives her.

Ozen and Lyza agree to abandon the Unheard Bell and begin a grueling and several month long ascent carrying the Curse Warding Box and Lyza’s infant child.

Lyza names her child Riko.

31 years old: 12 years ago

Lyza and Ozen reach the Surface, Lyza introduces Riko to her apprentice Jiruo.

Ozen immediately returns to retrieve the Unheard Bell. She is wounded by a creature of the abyss, and ambushed while injured by remaining foreign delvers.

Ozen returns to the surface clinging to life, Lyza begins nursing her back to health.

Lyza returns to the Abyss and begins to systematically hunt down and Annihilate foreign delvers. She sends for a team to recover the bell under her watch, shadowing them at a distance and ambushing foreign teams indiscriminately.

The Unheard Bell is returned to the Surface.

Lyza reduces the frequency, length, and depth of her dives, and only accompanies Ozen instead of assembling a new team.

32 years old: 11 years ago

Lyza grows frustrated with her work, longing for newer things deeper in the abyss. She begins to plan for her Last Dive.

She confronts Ozen to tell her she will soon take her Last Dive, and requests that if Ozen stays, she assist Riko if she tries to return to the abyss.

33 years old: 10 Years ago

Lyza undergoes her Last Dive.

Timeline: Restless Return Begins

33-43? years old: Current day

Lyza mysteriously returns from her Last Dive with fragmented memories of her journey. She has no recollection of how much memory she is missing or how much time has passed in her perspective.

Lyza and Ozen reunite and argue over her departure and return.

Lyza departs Seeker Camp for Idofront to request Bondrewd help her discover the method and side effects of her return.

Lyza and Ozen reconcile and choose to enter into a relationship.

Lyza knocked on Lance’s door and once he gave the green signal to enter, she slammed the door open as Barbatos’ character song played from her pocket. The song got Lance’s attention at once so she took the opportunity to spin and twirl her hair. She did it so forcefully that the hair smacked her in the face and she lost her footing for a moment - ruining her carefully constructed pose.

Getting it away from her eyes, she made the sign for timeout and said, “Oh excuse me. Let me try that again.”

She closed the door and left Lance wondering what that was all about.

“Am I being bullied about Tosie… again?!” He sighed and shook his head, “It’s a crime to be this dreamy. I guess I’m paying the price. Do you agree, Frodo?”

When Lance looked at his pet cat, the latter just stared back as if wondering about the sanity of human beings in general.

Lance booped his nose and completely understanding him, said, “Oh well, I feed and spoil you, don’t I? So, don’t question it.”

The door was flung open again which made the two jump and stare at the entrance with misgiving.

Lyza had somehow managed to get a cap which she now clutched with both hands as she supported herself against the door frame.

“Hey! That’s mine!” Lance said, squinting at the familiar object on her head.

“Shhhh dreamy guy or you’re gonna ruin my grand entrance!”

Music started blazing again from her pocket and she timed the beginning with her opening her cap and throwing it at Lance.

Frodo managed to let out a meow and catch the cap in his mouth just before it could land on Lance’s lap.

Lyza’s mouth hung open and she clapped, “Good boy, Frodo! Ah- ” She remembered what she was originally planning to do so she stood up straight and spun around again before smiling goofily at Lance. “Mate, do you see any difference in me?”

Lance nodded, “Yeah… You possessed by a demon or something? If yes, I hope its Barbatos so that I can talk to him and cuddle with him and-”

“Damnit! I should have cut my hair like Barbatos’! Wait for a bit.”

The door was shut again, leaving Lance in peace to dream about his crush.

He mused once after a while. “Hmmm… What was she talking about again? Ah, she did mention Barbatos and I heard that one so I guess that’s all. Her new haircut did look nice. I should tell her that once she comes back with her new Tosie haircut- OMG I’M GONNA DIE, AREN’T I?!”

Hiya darlings, I've been working behind the scenes to make some major updates to the muses and rules page! The rules are unchanged but every muse has been updated in some way, so I highly recommend you read up on it! Some have been added, some have been removed and some have been completely overhauled! But I know not everyone has time to read all that so there will be a tiny explanation here, under the cut.

Amber and Morgan have been overhauled. Amber's real name is no longer Blair and her ties to Natlan have been finalized. Morgan's story and fate have been completely changed.

Mingzhi and Linette have been removed, and replaced by Arthur and Florissax. Arthur(or Amber) is a runaway from her home planet, and Florissax is a dracontine, a member of a race created by @ancientforgcd

Yuuki, Lyza, and Kris have had small but important updates, adding their current situations onto their bios.

Moon has been updated as well, with mentions of Fanchon, Eitri, and the Origin Wing verbiage being updated. Like Morgan, her fate hangs in the air and she is rendered temporarily unavailable.

Ruan Mei, Silver Wolf, and Bronya have a few grammatical and spelling errors I missed corrected, and Ruan Mei's tag has been added.

🍷– our muses wake up hungover after an office party and don’t remember what happened

A small trickle of light filtered through the Orth’s Delving Department offices. It wasn’t a large place, mostly just the front desk and several rooms to the side for recording, and then the archives all the way in the back. Most of the bureaucracy took place in the Central Government Building. There was surely a more official name for it, but most people just referred to it as that.

Bondrewd shakily extended his hand upward, the fringes of light dancing around his fingers like experienced ballerinas. Never had he felt such pain in his head, the sound of his own throbbing heart pushing into his skull. Lowering his hand to his face, he swiped away the papers that covered his body, his other hand trying to stabilize him as he attempted to clammer up.

On the other side of the room was Lyza, slumped over a tipped over desk, an empty flagon in her hand. Just what had happened last night?

Misses Director says this time I broke 3 ribs, and also a mikro- microfratur microfractured my uvula ulna That means my arm. It doesn’t look broken, but it hurts when I move it. But I’m not giving up because it hurts a little!! Ozen is the strongest, and the coolest, and the toughest. I read all about the Curse, and I know The Abyss hurts a lot more than this. So I have to be tough too. This doesn’t hurt at all, compared to giving up. The other kids make fun of me. But none of them are trying at all. I’d beat them up again, if my arm didn’t hurt so much. They just pick up those shiny rocks and squishy balls and go home, and don’t care. Those aren’t relics, they suck! The soft ones are kind of nice to hold, though. But I’m different from them. I’m going to be a White whistle, some day, just like Ozen, and I’ll be a legend, and famous, and pretty just like her. No one’s as strong as she is. Or as tough. They say she can even move mountains, and stop a charging ottobas with one hand!! It has to be true. She barely nudged me with her foot, and I broke 4 bones. Even her hair is tough, because her head is all scarred from going up and down so much.

So I’m gonna keep trying. And if I try really hard, Ozen will see how tough I am, even if she has to kick me a hundred more times. I’m prepared to do what it takes to make something of myself. I’m not just gonna be a white whistle, I’m gonna be the first person to the bottom of the abyss. I’ll show the other kids, and the teachers, and that stupid director what I can do. And then Ozen will see she was right to teach me. And I’ll make her proud.
