Retro Review Singham - The movie starts with the scene Inspector Rakesh Kadam (Sundhansu Panday) shot himself as gets caught in a false case of corruption after which his wife Megha Kadam (Sonali Kolkarni) is fighting  for get her husband justice a new hope rose when a new Police Station in charge Bajirao Singham ( Ajay Devgan ) reopens Rakesh Kadam’s case. Now will Rakesh Kadam gets the justice?  And what were problems did Bajirao faces in this journey for justice all questions have been answered in this movie.
There were many beauties of the movie. First of all the Rohit Shetty establish Bajirao Singham as a character as an honest officer always fevers the right may give the vibe of 90s movies blended with high- obtained action and massy dialogues. After a long Ajay Devgan was presented in such a avatar with dialogues like “Aata Maji Satakli” have become a cult with the time. Scenes with Hero and Villian were totally “Paisa Vasool”  and evenly supported by fast pace screenplay,
Prakash Raj as a Villian
Retro Review Singham- When comes police movies in Bollywood Singham is the most loved character in Bollywood in Chulbul Pandey of Salman Khan in Dabangg, Coming back to Singham Ajay Devgan gave the finest performance of his career in Singham where he presented as a responsible man along with a brave officer. I'd seen this movie before - when it first released in theaters - and hated essentially every moment of it. In fact, all I remembered - beyond my utter dislike for it - was that, at some point, there was a song in which, inexplicably, a tank showed up. No reason to be there, but ... TANK! Hell, I'd even forgotten that this same song also randomly had it raining money, and also had Jacqueline Fernandez. Too bad they didn't spend the money on script instead of wasting it on that.
In fact, I remembered so little that I'd even forgotten that, in the post-'success of Baahubali' world, they'd become so enamored with the idea of a 'pan-language film' (not necessarily a bad idea) starring Prabhas (horrible idea), that they'd even doled out money to get a Bollywood-laden cast of 'heroes' (Shraddha Kapoor), villains (Chunky Pandey, Tinu Anand, Mandira Bedi), sidekicks (Murli Sharma, Neil Nitin Mukesh), and guest appearances (Jackie Shroff, aforementioned Jacqueline Fernandez). Unfortunately, there's so many villains that they're limited to small, pointless roles - not ideal for you lead baddies - and your female lead turns out to be so incompetent that she makes multiple literally life-altering decisions and eventually ends up betraying her job and uniform because she's fallen in love with the bad guy ('with a heart of gold,' of course, because he's got to still be portrayed as good even after everything he's done). It's all shit.
She gets drunk and someone gets away. She, and everyone else, just accept this random newcomer as "the man" without any proof, and when the proof comes forth, she is like "no, I'm in love" and fucks up everything. What a stupid character design; I can't believe she agreed to this at all.
Prabhas' voice is unsettling, his character is a jerk, and this movie really shows that Baahubali worked in spite of him, not because of him. That one ('those ones') were lifted by a solid story, this one is destroyed by a fucking joke of a story.
The song with the tank is still there, inexplicable as ever. And the movie is just as fucking bad as it was the first time around (though, it is fun to make fun of with friends). The 'twists' are dumb and frustrating, her characterization makes you want to punch a wall, and the amount of slow-mo - and that final fight sequence - now reminds one of Race 3 (which is NOT a good thing in any way). Avoid this like the plague.

Guntur Kaaram - Movie Review
Tumblr media
Long awaited combo of Mahesh & Thrivikram has materialised in the form of Guntur Kaaram. Athadu and Khaleja though get terrific viewership when aired on TV, during their release, both were not commercial successes. Thrivikram is back after Ala Vaikuntapuramlo, which was a non-SSR industry hit then. Mahesh is on a success streak, though receiving backlash from fans & common audience for doing only message oriented movies. This time it’s a mass masala film to break those shackles.
Story :- Vasundhara (Ramya Krishna) leaves her 10 yr old son Ramana and husband Satyam (Jayaram) after a fight in the house. Her father cum politician Venakatswamy (Prakash Raj) gets her married to Narayana (Rao Ramesh) and they have a son. With time, Vasundhara grows in politics and is about to get law ministry, when Venkataswamy’s rival in party Kata Madhu (Ravi Shankar) threatens that he will reveal to the world about how she left her 1st son like an orphan and remarried. To counter attack the same, Venkataswamy ask his lawyer Pani (Murli Sharma) is assigned the task of taking a signature from Ramana that he is not heir of Vasundhara and is not expecting anything from the family. Ramana (Mahesh Babu) who is taking after the mirchi yard in Guntur after his father is a rough and rough guy and doesn’t succumb to any pressure or power. Though he misses his mother, never tried to go and see her or meet her. But with Venkataswamy’s approach, he turns rebel and doesn’t sign the documents in whichever way they try. Why Vasundhara left her son and never came back? Did Ramana sign the documents? Form the rest of the story.
Performances :- Mahesh did a terrific job as Ramana and his Guntur accent needs special mention. He was at ease in the mass avatar and he carried the movie on his shoulders. Emotion, Comedy, Fights, Dances, he gave his best in all departments. Special mention for his dances in the movie, he had put lot of efforts and dedication. Though have less screen presence Ramyakrishna and Jayaram did decent job whenever on screen. Prakash Raj was monotonous as we have seen such roles and performances from him before. Sree Leela was there for dances and glamour and she gave her best. Eshwari Rao is superb as aunt, with her action and Guntur diction. Vennela Kishore brings the comic relief. Murli Sharma is good.
Technicians :- Simple story and screenplay, but with good dialogues and performances makes Guntur Kaaram a watchable masala entertainer. It may not look like a proper Thrivikram film or Mahesh’s film, but it looks fresh with both their names tagged to it. Satirical Dialogues of Mahesh were good. Emotional scenes in the climax click well with proper justification to all that happened from start of the movie. Action episodes are not great, just okayish. Songs and background score should have been better.
Positives :-
Mahesh
Dialogues
Climax
Negatives :-
Action parts
Not crispier runtime
Summary :- Guntur Kaaram has all the ingredients in right proportions which are required to make a perfect mass masala commercial film. No vulgarity, no violence, no adult content.
Rating :- 3/5 (It’s a family entertainer)

On the whole, MISSION RANIGANJ makes an impact due to the subject
Tumblr media
Mission Raniganj Review {3.5/5} & Review Rating
MISSION RANIGANJ is the story of a man trying to rescue miners against all odds. The year is 1989. Jaswant Singh Gill (Akshay Kumar) is a rescue officer and is based in Raniganj, West Bengal. On November 11, hundreds of miners descend into the mine of Mahabir Coillery at night. An underground blast goes wrong and water starts gushing with powerful force. The miners attempt to escape. Several of them safely make it to the ground. But a group of 65 miners get stuck. The next morning, Jaswant volunteers to rescue the miners. D Sen (Dibyendu Bhattacharya), who is a local contact, however, attempts to take over the rescue operation. He comes up with a plan and tries to save the miners. However, his plan fails. On the other hand, Jaswant finds out the highest point in the underground mine. He then drills a hole at that very place and attempts to establish contact. The miners, too, realize that they need to be at the highest point for better chances of rescue. With great difficulty, they try to reach there but get stuck due to a stoppage wall between them and the highest point. Meanwhile, time is running fast and Jaswant needs to rescue them before they drown or die by inhaling a poisonous gas present in the mine. What happens next forms the rest of the film.
Tumblr media
Deepak Kingrani's story (story idea by Poonam Gill), inspired by a true incident, is intriguing. Vipul K Rawal's screenplay is engaging. The writer has peppered the narrative with dramatic and tense moments. Deepak Kingrani's dialogues are okay. A film like this should have had more powerful dialogues.Tinu Suresh Desai's direction is superb. At 138 minutes, he has kept the duration in check. He has packed in a lot and also kept things simple for most parts. The obstacles that Jaswant encounters from locating the miners to establishing contact to manoeuvring politics make for a great watch. Some scenes that stand out are Jaswant offering water to a lady in distress, Jaswant convincing the railway officer to slow down the speed of the trains, the intermission, Jaswant establishing contact with the miners, Jaswant promising O P Dayal (Shishir Sharma) that he’ll have tea with him next day etc. The finale is nail-biting.On the flipside, the first half is a bit weak and doesn’t create the desired impact. The VFX is poor. Lastly, there are cinematic liberties in the finale which take away the realism.Speaking of performances, Akshay Kumar’s beard looks a bit unreal. But his performance packs a punch as expected. One can’t help but root for him in this mission. Parineeti Chopra (Nirdosh) puts up a nice act but her role seems forced. Kumud Mishra (R K Ujjwal) is fine but showing him smoking in all scenes gets too much after a point. Dibyendu Bhattacharya is dependable. The same goes for Pavan Malhotra (Bindal) and Virendra Saxena (Tapan Ghosh). Rajesh Sharma (Govardhan Roy) is over the top. From the miners, Ravi Kishan (Bhola) and Jameel Khan (Pasu) leave a mark followed by Sudhir Pandey (Behra), Varun Badola (Shaligram), Mukesh Bhatt (Murli), Bachan Pachehra (Noor; dog-lover) and Omkar Das Manikpuri (Bishu). Shishir Sharma (O P Dayal) is fair. Rajit Kapur and Ananth Narayan Mahadevan are hardly there.Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue | Official Trailer | Akshay KumarThe songs are disappointing. 'Jalsa 2.0' is well-shot while 'Jeetenge' and 'Keemti' fail to register. Sandeep Shirodkar's background score has a commercial vibe.Aseem Mishra's cinematography is appropriate. Sheetal Iqbal Sharma's costumes are realistic. Amrish Patange and Dayanidhi Patturajan's production design is detailed and well-researched. VFX is very bad. Parvez Shaikh's action is fair. Aarif Sheikh's editing is just right. On the whole, MISSION RANIGANJ makes an impact due to the subject, clap worthy moments in the second half, nail-biting moments and Akshay Kumar’s performance. At the box office, the negligible buzz can affect its prospects and it will need a strong word of mouth to make the desired impact. #MISSION #RANIGANJ #impact #due #subject Read the full article

CIRKUS suffers from poor writing and forced humour, and appeals only in bits and pieces
Cirkus Review {2.0/5} & Review Rating CIRKUS is the story of mistaken identity. The year is 1942. Dr. Roy Jamnadas (Murli Sharma) and Joy Jamnadas (Uday Tikekar) run the Jamnadas Orphanage. As part of an experiment, he separates two sets of twins and hands them over to two families for adoption. The first set gets adopted by an Ooty couple who run the Jubilee Circus. Harvest the Rains - Reap the Gains
Water from the two roofs combined saves 2.50 lakh litres of rain water per year," says Murli Sharma #neosciencehub #nsh #rainharvesting #researcher #scientist #crops #farming #savewater #rains #season #harvesting #ICRISAT #sciencechannel #sciencewebsite
According to the proverb, it is better to light a candle than curse the darkness. An inventive scientist puts this adage to good use by harvesting rainwater rather than blaming the municipal authorities for erratic water supply or being concerned about depleting groundwater levels. Throughout the year, he has an abundance of pure water. He doesn’t have to pay water bills, which is a plus for…

This movie took me like 5 attempts to get through, which honestly is probably all I need to say. Because, honestly - ouch. Yikes. But, of course, I won't stop there.
This very much feels like Humshakals - which is 100% not a good thing. But then, I guess in the end, it comes down to the fact that when you make a comedy movie about duplicates (especially multiple sets, as we got in Humshakals and here), its going to come down to a 'comedy of errors' - which, usually amounts to a whole bunch of "he's not me"/"I'm not him" arguments that no one believes, a lot of physical comedy (slapping, it's always slapping), and of course, a mix-up where the leading ladies are mistaken and can't see beyond the physical similarities to notice how they're otherwise different (and they're essentially always portrayed as completely mistrusting from the get go). I guess there's no other way to portray this story - at least in a comedy sense, obviously things change a bit if you're going for a more serious/thriller/action role.
Which is, all in all, highly unfortunate - because it really keeps the movie's final message (regarding the idea of adoption, and how kids are a product of their upbringing, and not just the X/Y chromosomes they received, or the religion of their parents, or whatever), which is a pretty solid one, from taking hold - because you're just glad that the mistaken identities (and the slapping!) is over, and that things are finally coming to an end. (Also, the way that Murli Sharma's 'doctor' tries to prove this, by switching up twins at birth, is very, very unethical and wouldn't pass IRB approval anywhere.) Again - solid point.
But it takes forever to get there (took me like 10 months), which is just a pity. I love Rohit Shetty's movies, but this one was a definite letdown. Unfortunate, too, given the cast, which has his typical regulars - who are usually solid. But the repeated mistaken identities leading to slapping (and, I guess in this movie, shocking) turns Sanjay Mishra and Brijendra Kala and Johnny Lever and Vrajesh Hirjee into just turnstiles for these attacks. ... Also, it's funny (not in a good way) how these movies always are like "okay, you're the main actor so both of your versions of the twins will have girlfriends, whilst he's not the main actor, so he'll just have to tag along with you and have no love interest."
Looking forward to Singham Again and Golmaal 5, which will hopefully return to the typical, fun Shetty level.
