This scene here in "The Pureblood Pretense" chapter 6 says there's a tapestry painting of the basilisk that might not have been moving because said basilisk hadn't yet died. Which means that when the basilisk does die the tapestry will be able to move about in that painting. Which means that Rigel, if she isn't too traumatized to do so, could visit the painting and talk her back to sanity. Or Evan the snake, who was already aware of her before she died.

Hey! So for those of you who've read the Rigel Black chronicles, (if you haven't, look up Pureblood Pretense by murkybluematter on fanfiction.net and be amazed) a professional voice actor has said that he'd do a podfic of the series for 2 cents a word. For the first book, that would be about 95 dollars that would be donated to a person with a Kofi, then paid to the voice actor after he finishes the book.

This actor has done several large podfic of books and completed them, so he seems really reliable.

Basically, I'd love for anyone interested in it to DM me for the link to the discord, and then you can read more about the project. To just get the first book, we'd need 19 people to donate 5 dollars, which really isn't a ton.

Y'all please get this out there, having a professional recording would be so nice!
