Did some designs earlier in December for Betilla the Nymph (the Raymom!), The Magician, Murfy, and Mr. Dark. I wanted to incorporate elements from the initial games and Origins/Legends with both Betilla and The Magician while injecting some of my own design sensibilities, and Murfy? He got glasses. Someone had to get glasses, so let it be the greenbottle.

Are the floating extremities a naturally occurring thing or are there magical shenanigans afoot? Who's to say.

A/N: This is short... as i had a lot of trouble writing for the little green pest.

The sun shined bright through the beautiful blue sky, the light hit the grass at just the right angle for it to shimmer. The trees leaves fell off, starting their journey through the wind.

You laid on the grass, your hair flowing in the cold Autumn breeze. It had been a slow, relaxing day.

Then.. Murfy flew over, but stopped when he saw you.

"Hey hottie!" He yelled as his tiny body flew into your lap.

You pet his head, and he purred rather loudly.

"Mmhhh.." He nuzzled into your chest, his cheeks becoming a deeper shade of green.

He calmly caressed your sides, putting some pressure on your hip. The feeling of his tiny hands on your waist increases your heartbeat. He notices, and a huge smirk appears on his face.

"Ohh.. look whos all flustered!" He teased, arising up to your face.

He starts to pamper your face with kisses. Making you laugh loudly, scaring a couple Lums away.

"Oops.."

"Its just a couple Lums..."

"But-"

"Shhhh.." He goes back to kissing you.. and that's all you did that night..

Omg... I saw your speculative biology post about rayman creatures, i am so weak for those!

Do you have any more headcanons you could tell me about? Personally I'm most interested in the Teensies and flies (ahem, Murfy) but you can tell me about anyone you feel like. I'd see it as a win either way :D

surprised this wasnt as niche as i expected ! i dont really have much more to say that i havent mentioned in the post but this is giving me something to fink about so im happy to pull some more out of my brain

teensies have pupils in much the same way mice and rats etc do. its just that they have really dark colored irises so you cant see the pupils under most conditions. however some teensies are weird and have really light irises, as in these guys. the eyes are set up like the same otherwise

globteens case is explainable with how incredibly pale he is. he might just have some kind of leucism

also i concluded from rayman 3 that they have 2 toes on their feet and this is the closest visual approximation

something i also concluded from rayman 3 is that teensy heights vary a LOT. several are taller than rayman! explicitly! and i think it gave romeo permanent back problems hence his incredible posture (i have no idea why ottos posture is really weird but in like, the opposite way, why is he this upright)

most teensies still live up to their name, but some ethnic groups will tend to be noticeably taller, like sylkins tufkins nookins (especially nookins) etc. but they can all be randomly tall. i think this is a given for any species of anything but its kind of notable for the people literally named teensies, also just how much the heights seem to vary (this is obtained with raymap also, theyre not found on the same map but the heights are relative to rayman and should be accurate)

its funny sometimes my headcanons are just . descriptions of things that literally are canon. but like. you get me this is something that is remarkable in my hc lore

nose does has cartilage in it (gotta protect the magic organ thing somehow) but its still like. very squeezable. makes a honk through cartoon logic, hurts some people if honked though (Ales Mansay)

speaking of him. if the magic organ is broken, its still like. present it just doesnt function well. i have no idea what it actually looks like other than some kind of blob thing that takes up most of the schnozzle (with some space for like. the nasal cavity). the closest thing i could think of is. the melon on cetaceans. i dont know if itd be like that i just think it wouldnt be much like a brain??? its hard to imagine An Organ Dedicated Specifically To Synthesizing Magic.

ive been thinking about it but im not sure if other species have that too, just much smaller placed somewhere else on the head, just allowing them to use magic. i think i like it better if Everyone gets access to it regardless of having An Organ Dedicated Specifically To Synthesizing Magic

i doodled baby murfy once

greenbottle larvae dont tend to talk much, or do much other than eat rotted meat all day. you cant really socialize or play games with them or anything

they dont end up remembering how it was like to be a larva or a pupa. pupating would feel like going to bed for like a week and then you wake up suddenly having conciousness and wings. its around this time they get named too, larvae are treated almost like a weird pet that will suddenly turn into a person eventually

also like, imagine the adaptation period after emerging from the pupa. its like being a 13 year old and a newborn at the same time. they do adapt fairly quickly though, one whos 15 or even 14 (both ages equivalent, not glade years) can already seem pretty normal

also the actual hatchday, and the day they stop being a pupa, are treated as separate, so its like they get TWO free birthdays! unless the dates overlap

much of this Larva Information applies to the other bugs as well. they have larvae and then pupate and then emerge as actual concious beings

Starter for @spoocys-glade-of-dreams / Captain Laserhawk verse

After talking with her leader about the two resistance groups joining forces, Ellie was able to arrange a day where Murfy, Mona, Bullfrog, and Rayman could meet her group. Even better? Murfy was going to look into her situation regarding whether or not she was a time traveler. The latter could be dealt with at another time, but it gave her a piece of mind knowing that she finally told him about it.

Riding her hover bike, the woman led the group to what looked like a shabby shack out in the middle of nowhere. However, it looked way better on the inside and it was outside of Eden.

"Whats the password?" A feminine voice would ask, green eyes only shown.

"Put the lime in the coconut and drink it all up." The redhead replied.

The little window that showed the others eyes shut and the door was opened. The woman was none other than Natalie, the leader of the group.

"Hey guys, I'm Natalie, it's a pleasure to meet you! May I just say, it's nice to finally meet you in person J.M.!" The woman offered the greenbottle a friendly handshake.

"Uh...I'm sure your probably aware of Bullfrog from the news but...this is Mona, who is a part of Murfy's resistance group and my boyfriend Rayman."

"Ellie didn't tell me your whole story, since she thought it would be better to share it in person with everyone else. All I'm aware of is that there are two Raymans and that you somehow managed to rescue Bullfrog."

Murfy sometimes has to step in as teacher for some of the schools around the glade, and he can be quite a mood.

Murfy is the oldest Greenbottle in the Glade of Dreams. He serves at first as a messenger of the gods and a guide for potential heroes while also being a snarky prankster. Once Polokus loses his mind, however, he's seen being not only his right hand fly but taking on a bit of a caretaker role, too. No, peepaw, Jano's not gonna get you, let's get you to bed.

Meanwhile, Dandelion is a sweet, carefree, strange creature who was raised by the Lums. Presenting herself as a cross between cricket and Thingamajig, she's a writer who's being mentored under Murfy's wing to train heroes and take care of the Dreamer-- a literal grasshopper. Suffice to say, Murfy may be a less-than-good influence on her in some aspects.

GUYS. HOLY CRAP. I JUST HAD A CRAZY DREAM.

So, pretty sure first part about it was like, People coming up to my house and me and my family letting them stay in so they could hide from Momo, (pretty sure you've heard of her,) and I was, like, making sure everything was shut.

Next part was, like, Rayman Origins centered. Apparently, two Toad-like dudes were like, trying to pressure Globox into something, so he slapped them. (Proud of him.) I think the next parts had to do with evacuating or the Nymphs or something...?

Next it was about how in the Super Marios Bros. movie Kirby actually appeared in it along with King Dedede and Meta Knight and they were like, supporting characters, especially Kirby, and I was re-writing it cause the movie didn't do too well with them.

Next part (and one of the most intriguing) I think was, like, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon centered. So, apparently, I think this maybe Human-turned-Pokemon got separated and was trying to find this Group of Pokemon they were with, along with I think four, three, or two more Pokemon who also got separated from the Group, and I think they were like, his Partners, or something, and he found them all in like, a doctor/hospital rooms setting. Anyways, they ended up on a beach and I think they found the Group, who was like, relaxing, but the leader, who I think was actually CLAWROLINE and they treated "Clawroline" like a Pokemon species, so yeah, anyways, THREATENED the main character, and now the Group, (well, I think mainly her,) were after the main characters and his Partners, and I think his Partners helped him up, cause the leader, like, pinned him, and now they're on the run and trying to find a way to stop the Pokemon Group leader.

And the final part (which I found possibly the most intriguing) was I was on YouTube and one of the recommended settings (you know, like, along with things you enjoy, and they recommend, like music or Pokemon,) was MURFY, cause, I was like, looking at videos of the little Greenbottle. So, I tapped on "Murfy" and there was actually VIDEOS/SHORTS CENTERED AROUND HIM. Like, small crapposts or something, and one of them even drew him with like, hair, like, the "cool" hairstyle, or something, IDK how to describe it. And there were quite a few that was like, crossovers. One of them was I think an sad animatic about him getting upset with I think Lucy from Fairy Tail, running away, her finding him, and he's, like, dying, so he spends his final moments with her. And there was more of these crossovers with Fairy Tail that was mainly centered around him and Lucy. Like, it was weird. I think one of them was even about bath or Lucy once again being naked again cause like in the anime they keep on showing her naked!? Yeah, it was weird. I think I remember Murfy looking all awkward. I...I'm half convinced one of them was NSFW. The dream gave me that vibe. I'm pretty sure there WAS a part like that. Perhaps maybe the one where I think they showed Lucy naked for some reason. WTF.

When they went on strike one times all the information that’s supposed to be recorded and archived were halted for several weeks it was chaos for the fairies.

So now Murfy can be snarky and other greenbottles are free to play harmless pranks on the ludivs.

That explains the 100 year gap in fairy history books. Truly, unionization was a mistake
