This is a really really cute illustrated story about a little underground dweller that is a little lonely and worried about being weird.

It is adorable, fun, and contains cotton candy pancakes. It is a quick read, a fantastic little lesson, and all around would recommend.

Small note, if you are anything like me you may have seen the author’s name and been like “Hey that sounds like that actor from that murder show”, and yes that is who wrote the book. I literally saw the cover and just thought it was super cute and picked it up right away. It wasn’t until I found the audio version for download that I realized the author is in fact the actor from that murder show.

Knowing the face of the author doesn’t really change the enjoyment of the little book, but it does explain how he puts so much life into the different voices for the little audio version. I’m going to suggest the sight version of the book this time because there are some fun illustrations that really capture a childlike glee in the story and remind me a bit of early Dr. Seuss stuff or Quentin Blake’s fantastic work. The audio version is really enjoyable and worth the library download, but these illustrations edge out to be a fave for me.

Yesterday’s book was a quick and easy read packed with silly fun and charming illustrations. I really enjoyed what I read yesterday.

if tma were a hades-style roguelike I think it'd be entertaining to have elias just show up like a little bitch and give you tasks that eventually give you rewards. I don't think he'd show up as the final boss until much later on in the story (equivalent to the hades epilogue) where he'll become the eye's pupil and the player (presumably jon) has to kill him to stop the eyepocalypse or smth (don't question my thought process too much I haven't actually rationalised it all in my head yet lol)

i think maggie would be the only person in the leverage universe who DOES notice the leverage team members occasionally becoming famous. like she’d tune into the world news and then have to call the team to check if sophie really died in a small european country during a turbulent election. "no but wasn’t my funeral so poignant? they put my face on the $20 note!" okay great glad to know you’re not dead. she watches a game of baseball on TV and just sighs deeply when the camera pans to eliot. next time she sees the team, she compliments his baseball skills. for some reason he mutters something about a sandwich while looking wistfully into the distance.

“i decided when i heard his voice” was actually one of the most insane things will graham has ever said imo and the implications are actually devastating to my mental state. he called hannibal, and the very second he heard his voice he decided that that was enough for him to not go through with his betrayal. just a simple “hello” made up his mind. a simple “hello” told him he didn’t have the heart to hurt him anymore.
