Brief About: Once upon a time James Davenport was 007 and known as James Bond. He got so used to James as a first name that he ended up legally changing his own. After retirement from the 00 program James tried to slowdown and enjoy a quiet life but he itched to be back in the field, albeit without the constraints of the government. A contact put him in touch with Kingsman and James became agent Cador - though not as spritely as he once was James still gets involved in information gathering but mostly mentors new agents and talks them through missions whilst Merlin is busy. This Kazan is willing to spend most of his patience on his great-great-great-great grand daughter, since they’re family. He is very old fashioned but he knows that woman can be great warriors and has known noble lady samurais.

Outside of trials Kazan is still prone to flip off the handle but there’s anyways a choice for your character to escape. It depends on you. Inside of trials, he is constantly enraged, everything done to him, he takes as slight to him. You may attempt to talk to him but otherwise you are going on that hook whether you like it or not.

The estate does have a hot springs for Rin and himself to relax in between matches.

Kazan knows:

archery, swordplay, horseback riding, horseback warfare, martial arts, unarmed fighting, sumo, falconry, being proficient in fighting with chain weapons such as the kusarigama, kanabo, bos, yari, naginata(even if was used typically by samurai women.) And being that samurai were part of the noble class and Kazan had a legendary samurai for a father in Renjiro. Kazan is an all star in Japanese warfare thanks to his father and access to extensive training.

Also samurai were taught to do poetry, tea ceremonies, ink painting, gardening.

Couple that with his blood empowerment, manipulation, and among other things. Kazan is a force to be reckoned with.

Kazan believes that the other killers are not worth his time and pathetic, although:

The Spirit: Rin is the only killer he will feel sympathetic to((for now?)) and empathic with the rage she feels for being cut down by her father and his cursed blade. She being his kin helps greatly, he feels a great familial need to be there for her. He is absolutely devoted and loves his great-granddaughter.

The Huntress: Anna's is held in high respect for her prowess and the lethal proficiency with her hatchets. The fact that she hunted dangerous game without any help is commendable.

The Plague: Adiris' status as a priestess who kept her devotion even after being brought to this foggy hell is remarkable to him. He would meditate with her if not for the sickness she carries(he's not sure if the infection is easily passed outside of trials like it is in.)

The Shape: He hates him for treating his kin that way but-. Michael's obsession to kill anyone associated with his sister is horrifically astounding.

The Trapper: As Evan is one of the oldest killers in the Fog, he defers to him for advice and company. He is more patient with him as so, even if he doesn’t always understand his devotion to the Entity.

The Executioner: Hates him.

The Nemesis: Clearly the bioweapon is sapient, astounds Kazan on how far weapons for war have progressed.

The Cenobite: Another demon that Kazan is on friendly terms with, great conversation partner while enjoying tea. Baffles him that there’s another sadistic demon from hell that’s somewhat interested in him.

The Legion: A gaggle of idiotic teens, annoyance range depends on specific Legion members.

Frank- Kill/Torture on sight, the leader of Legion is the most annoying one by far.

Julie- Does respect her gumption, too bad her devotion to Frank makes her the second most annoying one.

Joey- the hanger on that Kazan has mixed feelings about, respectful but seems defer to Frank too much.

Susie- the most reluctant one, reminds him of Rin in someways; definitely has potential.

The Ghostface: A moron.

The Trickster: Annoying but fun to infuriate.

Exclusive: @screamformemore - mutual carnal relationship, doesn’t know how to feel about things on the emotional side but Kazan does love how creative Ji-Woon is.

The Pig: Respectful, for how they have treated and gave his granddaughter a shoulder to lean on before he arrived in the Fog.

The Knight: Another soldier, but where there was thought to be honor, there is none. Kazan still respects Kovács expertise and adeptness with his weapon. But the positive things about this beast ends there.

The Skull Merchant: A forgettable little girl who deigns to have anything noteworthy about her, using schemes to kill and torture the innocent for fun. Disgusting.

The Singularity: Appalling monster, those whom discount the validity of man will be doomed to be reminded who created it.

7 - What drew you to writing your current character(s)? (I won't do everyone because there are too many).

//So Maria I've had for a very long time and she was sort of born from the idea of a fic, way back when I was into Grimm. She was this tea and coffee obsessed gal from a rich family with a coffee shop stuffed with bookcases. She really grew over time because of the fabulous partners I had and she evolved over and over. She was always soft and kind but I do think she's gotten more rounded out the longer I've been writing her. I just really liked the idea of this soft-ever loving, far too romantic woman from a rich family who were also incredibly romantic. She was a thousand percent inspired heavily by Evelyn Carnahan, Belle, Hermione, Eglantine Price, Anita Radcliffe, Jane Porter, Maid Marian. Harvey Bullock - I started writing during the first season of Gotham for a fic and then I eventually decided to RP him because I loved him so much. He's a big bear of a man with a heart of gold beneath all his bluster and though he'd never admit it there's part of him that still wants to play hero. I adore him so much because I adore characters like that. I also think he's probably the one I relate too quite a lot in terms of attitude, food, music, his rough on the outside soft on the inside demeanour. Huck / Cador / Charlie - I originally wrote Charlie back when the first Kingsman movie came out and the fandom was absolutely booming. I just loved the idea of this Head of Admin being nicknamed the dragon and chasing people for their paperwork. Cador and Huck came as I single handedly tried to populate the rp scene with more spies. Cador - I love the idea of retired Bond working for Kingsman after getting bored. Brosnan's Bond has always been my favourite and I love the idea that the mantle just sort of passes from Bond to Bond. Then Huck - god the idea of an Agent Rum at statesman who's always like 'not a pirate' was so funny to me and then him, Sora and Joe just had such amazing chemistry that I couldn't put him down.

11 - What are your favorite hobbies besides roleplaying/writing?

//I don't really have any..... writing is pretty much my life out of work, if I'm not writing I'm thinking about it. Reading probably and then the Cinema/Movies/TV - I occasionally play my switch but that's few and far between nowadays.

//God I remember sort of officially starting on tumblr in an RP group for Once Upon A Time way back in 2011 but I definitely know I was playing Lestrade before that and that would have been 2010. I might have dabbled a tiny bit before that. Lestrade started as an askblog and then sort of morphed into something more.

18 - If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go?

California - Malibu for Diagnosis Murder even though it's been like 20 years since it ended. - I just want to walk along the beach they did. Portland Oregon Portland Maine Seattle and then there's a lot of the UK I still want to get around and Switzerland would be nice.

Why people hating on Zeus equals to hating on a whole ancient society and... it's kinda dumb

If you have been in the part of social media that discusses ancient religions or ancient mythology you might know Zeus is hated badly. If you worship Zeus like I do I’m pretty sure you are aware of how many people actually waste times of their live doing bad jokes of how every woman on ancient Greece was pregnant with Zeus's kid or another type of bullshit, and I’m tired of that. There are already like 100 posts on other Zeus worshippers giving their take on this topic but you know what? I want to be the 101 so here I am. I’f you hate Zeus I ask you nicely to grab your coffee, water, tea, whatever, sit and read this post.

this post is written with a target audience of people who do not have much knowledge aside from the myths and what social media say, I’ll be including the very basic theological and cultural aspects of Ancient Greece in this post so let’s consider this a baby course into epithets and the human kind changing their ethic code through time. 

Before we officially start I'm sure some Zeus haters already have arguments to throw at me as soon as they finish reading this post so let me tell you, as a MUN delegate who's obsessed with debate, some argument starters I won't even read if you start a sentence with them:

"I believe or I think" I'm sorry but I don't care about your personal biases I want facts.

"X media thing portrays" x media or x author is not a reliable source of information, unless it's a historian with good background resources or reliable sources I won't even take it in mind

"In other religions..." this is hellenism not other religions

"But in x myth" myths are not literal

"But x deity" all deities are different

Anyways, let’s start with what’s a myth, the merriam webster dictionary says a myth is  “a usually traditional story of ostensibly historical events that serves to unfold part of the world view of a people or explain a practice, belief, or natural”. My religion teacher back on catholic school also added to this definition a “moral code or cultural reflection religions implied into their followers”, and it's accurate.

In baby words, myths explain things our society can’t explain while also reflecting our culture and behaviours.

Clear? Clear. 

History has shown us that many religions don’t take their myths completely literally, most times they take them as metaphors or teachings to follow or simply they use them as propaganda to increase certains individual power, and this includes Ancient Greeks. If a king wanted to increase his power to scare people that may want to rebel he could easily say he was the child of Zeus, which is an explanation to why so many kings and heroes were kids of the all-mighty deity. Ancient Greeks also had to find a way to explain different phenomenons, and as many cultures before and after them, myths were a perfect way of doing so. To finish with myths and their uses, as many religions did and still do, the ancient Greeks needed a way to spread lessons to their people without the need of sitting them down and literally teaching them. Instead of doing this they preferred giving examples of things not to do. What makes Hellenism so different to actual modern religions is that the practice was and is more important that the actually texts, that can be a base but at the end of the day they are not the structure of the religion.

Now, a huge mistake many people commit is thinking the myths we nowadays read are the original myths. That’s a mistake. Ingrid Holmberg says in her essay titled as The Creation of the Ancient Greek Epic Cycle  “Their research (addressing Milman Parry and Albert Lord.) and the research of their followers has revealed that the Greek epic oral tradition formed a huge, interconnected, and variegated web of legendary and mythical narratives that comprised the corpus of the epic cycle(...).” Harvard university also addresses this topic by saying “Basically, the “question” came down to this: were the Homeric poems composed with or without the aid of writing? Parry’s project, the comparing of Homeric poetry with the living oral traditions of South Slavic heroic poetry, led him to conclude that the Homeric texts were indeed the products of oral composition.”

So tell me, years of investigation affirms that the myths were told from mouth to mouth, the poets did not write their original work down but after many years later someone did... the version written is a version passed generation from generation by someone who heard them from their parents who heard them from their grandparents that might have edited and changed the original version for hundreds of years. Knowing all this areyou’re still going to judge a culture and a religion through myths? Really? Because that’s plainly dumb.

Let me give you an example, I write you a message and then pass it through google translator 20 times, and send it. And actually did! The message I’ll translate 20 times is “Hello dear readers of the internet, this is an experiment with google translator to explain how dumb is to literally judge a myth that has been changed hundreds of times. Not only that, a myth that reflected a society with different a ethic code, in some hundreds of years if society still exists they are going to judge some things we do... so em don't waste your time on that”. After passing that message through 20 different languages in google translator this is how it ended up: Hello, dear internet reader, you will be judged not only by this, but also by some of the hundreds of years that we have done with the growth of social networks ... so don't waste time. Don't waste.

I’m not trying to say that historians and their translations are as bad as google translator, I know this people have studied years to do what they do, I’m just saying that the original stories were told so many times that we have hundreds of adaptations and changes. Here's an example, if you read a copy of the iliad written by x guy and then grab another copy written by another guy... you’ll find many differences in the translation.

Now that we got the translation clear thing you’ll probably still say “yeah anyways still myths say Zeus is a pr3d4tor who cheated on his wife muuultiple times”. And to that I’ll laugh ten minutes because yeah but no. Look at my beautiful hazel and eyes and tell me, do you think Ancient Greek men cared about women? And how they were treated? and how they were portrayed in the moment of explaining things?

If you say yes I beg you to go study some history. 

If you say no, bingo. 

A year a go I went down the rabbit whole of homosexuality in the ancient world, wrote an essay on it, and I found out men repeled women and they saw them as baby machines (i mean, some still do) so some societies had this idea that the closest relationship to love you could have with someone was with another man. So, understand that the ancient world didn’t give a damn about women. Most myths shows them as trophies, that’s no surprise for anyone at this point. So of course, they saw women as baby machines and as myths are reflections of society, do you really expect the Ancient Greeks to portray them as something else aside baby creators? Nooo!!!! Ofc they were not going to do that, they needed mothers to give an explanation to the hundreds of kings saying they were Zeus's kids, and they found them.

Okay now, some of you may ask why did he "cheat" on Hera... more cultural aspects being reflected. Here's what Jennifer Larson the writer of Ancient Greek cults has to say:

Now that we closed the marriage ethic issue The Zeus has many child joke or insult is even dumber because kids were so important for the social status in that era that they stablished the social status. During all Human’s story, money establishes your place in the social status: the more you have the higher you are. This also applied in the Ancient Greece. By having more kids it meant you had more to offer and to sustain your family, basically more kids = more money = more power = higher rank. 

Studying children and childhood is of great importance because it provides insight into social norms and social life in ancient Greece. Children were important for the parents, the home, and city. Not having children led to inability to pass on the property and wealth of the father.

If Zeus, the KING of the gods and mortals, father of humanity, doesn't have a lot of children then what do you think it would do to how Ancient Greeks perceived him huh. If they measured by kids ofc their higher deity had to have a lot because that gave him power, please, it’s pure logic. The fact that he has multiple kids is a perfect reflection of how the Ancient Greece society acted, do you really want to sit down and complain about it? Why don't you instead start thinking of a way of changing that capitalist mindset that still rules our society instead of bullying an old civilization and their cults.

Okay cultural part has finished, let’s dive into my favorite topic ever: epithets. And I actually did like 3 polls on this, both on my twitter and my instagram, asking if my followers knew what an epithet was. I always had this thought that one of the reasons many people hate on deities is because they only see one side of their multiple-side self... and ofc the answer was no, they did not:

And epithets are soooo important to understand a deity, So assuming some people might not know what epithets are here is a brief summary extracted from a previous post of mine addressing epithets and their importance: Literal definition of epithet: an adjective or phrase expressing a quality or attribute regarded as characteristic of the person or thing mentioned.Let me give you an example: A friend of yours loves reading, they love it so freaking much, so one of your teachers is like “oh pepito the reader”, it’s obvious that pepito is a reader.Now examples with deities. Demeter Chthonia (of the Earth). WHAT DO WE ASSUME KIDS?! That Demeter is an Earth deity. Duh. And like that with all the deities. 

Epithets basically tell us how deities were perceived when worshipped, and many of the people who love judging Zeus have ignoring epithets as their favorite hobby so here I am, giving you a list of my favorite ones to take in mind: 

AGO′NIUS (Agônios), a surname or epithet of several gods. Aeschylus (Agam. 513) and Sophocles (Trach. 26) use it of Apollo and Zeus, and apparently in the sense of helpers in struggles and contests.

AGORAEUS and AGORAEA (Agoraia and Agoraios), are epithets given to several divinities who were considered as the protectors of the assemblies of the people in the agora, such as Zeus 

ALASTOR (Alastôr). an epithet of Zeus, describing him as the avenger of evil deeds. 

EVA′NEMUS (Euanemos), the giver of favourable wind

HETAEREIUS (Hetaireios), the protector of companies or associations of friends

HY′PATUS (Hupatos), the most high

LECHEA′TES (Lecheatês) i.e. the protector of childbed

NOMOS (Nomos), a personification of law, described as the ruler of gods and men. 

PANHELLE′NIUS (Panellênios), i.e. the god common to, or worshipped by all the Hellenes or Greeks

PHY′XIUS (Phuzios), i. e., the god who protects fugitives

POLIEUS (Polieus), "the protector of the city;"

SOTER (Sôtêr), i. e. "the Saviour"

After reading all this epithets I want to ask one last time, do you still think Zeus is a jerk? When he has the literal epithet of being a Good God? A merciful one? A protector? THE PERSONIFICATION OF LAW?

A fact aspect I want to mention is how people love to completely erase the good sides of Zeus portrayed in many myths. In the Iliad Zeus loves one of his most loved sons, he wants to go and revenge him because he's an amazing dad but he knows that if he does that he would be impartial and injustice to the other deities who have lost children but haven't been able to do anything about it. Instead he mourns in silence just to refrain from making other deities feel less privileged, this happens in the freaking Iliad and I'm sorry but I think that is a perfect example of how good Zeus is even if myths are not literal.

IZeus is more than the character modern media converted him into, he’s way more than that. He’s a deity, with multiple aspects and multiple stories that have adapted to fit into into ancient societies idea of what was a higher deity. All the arguments people have against him show that they do not understand how myths work and they do not understand that ancient times came with ancient ideals.

So please, research and form your own criteria before hating on something you don't actually know about. Give yourself the opportunity to listen all sides of the story and then after that you can say whatever you want. Most importantly, give yourself the opportunity to learn.

This Kazan is willing to spend most of his patience on his great-great-great-great grand daughter, since they’re family. He is very old fashioned but he knows that woman can be great warriors and has known noble lady samurais.

Outside of trials Kazan is still prone to flip off the handle but there’s anyways a choice for your character to escape. It depends on you. Inside of trials, he is constantly enraged, everything done to him, he takes as slight to him. You may attempt to talk to him but otherwise you are going on that hook whether you like it or not.

The estate does have a hot springs for Rin and himself to relax in between matches.

Kazan knows:

archery, swordplay, horseback riding, horseback warfare, martial arts, unarmed fighting, sumo, falconry, being proficient in fighting with chain weapons such as the kusarigama, kanabo, bos, yari, naginata(even if was used typically by samurai women.) And being that samurai were part of the noble class and Kazan had a legendary samurai for a father in Renjiro. Kazan is an all star in Japanese warfare thanks to his father and access to extensive training.

Also samurai were taught to do poetry, tea ceremonies, ink painting, gardening.

Couple that with his blood empowerment, manipulation, and among other things. Kazan is a force to be reckoned with.

Kazan believes that the other killers are not worth his time and pathetic, although:

The Spirit: Rin is the only killer he will feel sympathetic to((for now?)) and empathic with the rage she feels for being cut down by her father and his cursed blade. She being his kin helps greatly, he feels a great familial need to be there for her. He is absolutely devoted and loves his great-granddaughter.

The Huntress: Anna's is held in high respect for her prowess and the lethal proficiency with her hatchets. The fact that she hunted dangerous game without any help is commendable.

The Plague: Adiris' status as a priestess who kept her devotion even after being brought to this foggy hell is remarkable to him. He would meditate with her if not for the sickness she carries(he's not sure if the infection is easily passed outside of trials like it is in.)

The Shape: He hates him for treating his kin that way but-. Michael's obsession to kill anyone associated with his sister is horrifically astounding.

The Trapper: As Evan is one of the oldest killers in the Fog, he defers to him for advice and company. He is more patient with him as so, even if he doesn’t always understand his devotion to the Entity.

The Executioner: Hates him.

The Nemesis: Thinks of him as a overpowered naive child, dumb but not stupid; Kazan lets and trusts him to take care and pet animal skins that Kazan has hunted.

The Cenobite: Another demon that Kazan is on friendly terms with, great conversation partner while enjoying tea. Baffles him that there’s another sadistic demon from hell that’s somewhat interested in him.

The Legion: A gaggle of idiotic teens, annoyance range depends on specific Legion members.

Frank- Kill/Torture on sight, the leader of Legion is the most annoying one by far.

Julie- Does respect her gumption, too bad her devotion to Frank makes her the second most annoying one.

Joey- the hanger on that Kazan has mixed feelings about, respectful but seems defer to Frank too much.

Susie- the most reluctant one, reminds him of Rin in someways; definitely has potential.

The Ghostface: A moron.

The Trickster: Annoying but fun to infuriate.

She's been feeling really bad and had some Headaches. She really Likes Kirumi and Maki but Himiko or Korekiyo is good too. Recently another friend of Hers left her and has refused to talk to her over it. And She's doing really badly cause she gets so very obsessed with others friendship due to her parents. So I don't really want you to strain yourself with this ask but, please.

Hello anon, while I don't believe I've ever taken on of Boat Anon's asks, I have heard of them, and I believe I do recall a little of what I've heard they go through. I am always amazed when someone sends in an ask for a friend. In this time of darkness, it is wonderful to see such kindness and love for those around us. So thank you for your beautiful act of kindness anon, I will do my best to be of service. 

Let's start with the headaches. A way I've seen used to get rid of them is placing a cold washcloth over your eyes, or a bag of ice or an ice pack over your eyes. (Use a towel to wrap the ice in if you try that.) If they're more severe, I would look into over the counter medication. They seem to be stress generated, so those are the two ideas I have for that. I am sorry she is having so many problems with friends. That is always a difficult struggle. The fact that the friend is unwilling to talk things out irritates me. Your friend should not feel bad, they did not do anything wrong. That is an act made by the other party, and an unfortunate one at that. 

Honestly, in this situation, it's probably best to let this person go. I know it is painful, but they do not seem to be a person worth keeping around if they do not treat your friend with the care and respect they deserve. They clearly have a much better friend in you, and I believe letting that friend go is for the best. They can always make new, better friends. I'm sorry they feel as if they have to obsess over it. If it is too much to handle, I recommend potentially talking to a psychologist or other professional about ways to ease it. This ask wasn't straining on me at all, I hope I was able to help. Continue to support your friend, I'm sure it means the world to them. 

Greetings Anonymous. You are here as a favor for a friend, are you not? I don’t recall taking any of her asks myself in the past, but I am aware that she is a frequent asker on our blog. Nevertheless, I am still glad that you were able to reach out for your friend. Such an uncommon gesture is always welcome here, and I am sure that your friend will be grateful for your own.

While Kiyo’s suggestions can turn out to be quite useful for headaches, in fact, they are quite common remedies that I use for myself and my clients often, but some other ways that I would recommend to treat her headaches with is to drink water and perhaps take some time to relax, preferably away from electronics.  Stress can lead to one forgetting to do certain tasks, such as staying hydrated, which can cause headaches in its own. The same can be said for stress itself causing the headaches, or a combination of both. Light that emits from electronics can also cause this notion however, with the addition of stress that social media may cause, and perhaps a break is what your friend needs now.

Although, I am rather saddened to hear about the situation with her and her friend. I am truly, truly sorry for such a thing to have happened to her. Being left behind can be a terrible experience, particularly when one is closely attached to the person ‘ghosting’ them. I will agree with Kiyo however, that it is best that your friend decide to leave them alone. It would be in her best interest, and for their mental health. I would not want her to feel more hurt by pursuing something that would likely end up in a detrimental way. Though, the mun hirself can understand having such a close connection with her friends, as her parents are not necessarily the most qualified either, and zie seems to be more comfortable opening up to friends and co-workers rather to family members. While that may not always be the more healthy option in nature, it can be rather comforting to have a family who seems to understand your best interests more. What I would suggest myself, to understand and get through this loss of a friendship, is for your friend to simply discuss it with other members of her chosen family, or even perhaps a psychologist if this ends up being worse, similar to what Kiyo said earlier. Either option may be able to give additional comfort, and support while she handles this situation.

And please Anonymous, this ask was of no issue at all. It is my duty as a maid to serve others under their time of need, and making a request in place of a friend is more than noble of yourself to do. Continue to do what you are doing currently for her. She is more than lucky to have a friend similar to yourself by her side.

Nyeh...headaches can be a real pain, especially when you’re stressed, or low on MP. Kiyo and Kirumi gave some really good advice, and I’d like to add on. Maybe she could take a nap when she gets a headache. Napping always helps me. Or she could just rest in a cold, dark room. She should definitely drink water, and maybe some hot tea might help, too.

About Boat Anon’s friend, as painful as it might be, I would tell her to let them go. My guess is they want to be left alone, and nagging them might make the situation worse. Like Kirumi and Kiyo said, Boat Anon might want to talk to someone about this. I know her parents might not be the best choice, but she could talk to someone else. Someone like a friend or, if things become too much to handle, a psychologist would be best.

Questions for the Mun!

Picking up Sonia for a muse was actually a really easy choice for me! Let me explain a bit of my roleplaying and writing (fanfic, original) history:

I’ve been roleplaying and writing fanfic for a really, really long time (longer than some roleplayers on tumblr have been alive). In that time, I’ve written a lot in the Harry Potter fandom (I wrote Hermione Granger as a muse for nearly ten years and Narcissa Black/Malfoy for 3-4 of those as well?) and plenty in the anime fandom, but mostly action ladies and femme fatales. But after awhile, I began to get burned out on writing in general, and so I took a break. For a very long time. 

When I decided I wanted to dip my toes into writing again, I decided I wanted to write something different, with a different type of character that interests me. That translated into some 1x1 and group RPs for various things, but mostly historical dramas and teen dramas that mostly revolved around Rich People Problems. I wanted to write something I sincerely enjoy and I found myself reading (and re-reading) plenty of novels relating to the problems and pitfalls of social class. But all of those 1x1 and group RPs died, and I realized groups especially weren’t for me.

Enter the indie RPC.

This was about the time that two things happened: Persona 5 came out and, after having lukewarm feelings about DR: Trigger Happy Havoc, I decided to give Super Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair a try. And I was then stuck with not one but two possible muse ideas: Haru Okumura and Sonia Nevermind. I really love both characters, but ultimately I went with Sonia. For a few reasons:

1. I enjoy reading, watching, and writing content about royalty. Royalty of all different cultures, but royalty all the same. It’s not just issues of the wealthy, there’s so much more to it. 

2. For Sonia specifically, I love her contrast between looks and personality. She’s stereotypically beautiful, that’s for sure, but she’s cheerful, energetic, optimistic, and obsessed with things that most wouldn’t think a princess to enjoy: the occult, serial killers, freemasonry. She’s also an incredible linguist and more than apt with military equipment and strategy. That’s fascinating to me, someone who has spent her life sheltered and privileged just wanting to experience a normal life while wanting to be seen as a person, and not just for her looks/title/wealth.

3. I’m really, really bad at video games. The idea of trying to play Persona 5 is daunting. I’ve tried. I cannot get the hand eye coordination down to progress during the fighting scenes to get to the story, and that annoys me. I’ve seen the anime but I know it’s not a complete story, and thus I felt I wouldn’t do Haru justice.

And so, writing for Sonia made perfect sense: she fulfills the sorts of topics and issues I like to explore and she’s so much more than what’s on the surface.

And after that long explanation, some food talk!

It is really hard to pick a favorite food, really! If I had to choose my favorite dishes, it would probably be chicken tikka masala and spaghetti carbonara. But some of my favorite meals include afternoon tea (with free refills on tea and food, preferably. And a glass of champagne), curry of all sorts (Indian, Thai, Japanese, you name it), Korean BBQ, French, and Japanese izakaya fare.

 I’m also super happy in cheap (mostly U.K.) chains because I have a lot of nostalgia for them: Wetherspoon’s pubs, Greggs, Nando’s, sandwiches from Marks and Spencer food and Waitrose, Pizza Express, etc. I’m pretty sure most of these aren’t remotely high quality food, but the memories associated with them are strong.

Choosing a dessert is the hardest thing for me to do when dining out and I have a weakness for cannoli. To the point I’m determined to have a cannoli cake for my birthday this year. I also love good macarons.

Realistically though, right now my food love is a small salad chain that does cold and warm salads. You can make your own but the premade ones are delicious! They’re a little expensive, but they’re super healthy and despite it being a counter service place, it’s way better than a lot of salads I’d get in a sit-down restaurant. I go there at least once a week at this rate.

QUESTIONS FOR OC CREATORS

( Saw these floating around on Tumblr and decided give it a shot. Art of V was done by the wonderful @commandermorgan because she’s a talented artist who needs all the acknowledgment for her gorgeous works. )

A) Why are you excited about this character?

Because Vera is a Black Bisexual woman ( like me! ) who is a Nomad in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe. Hardened by her life in the Badlands and ready to prove something to the people of Night City, Vera isn't a kind person and she’s not here to be your caretaker or hold your hand. She’s got her own agenda and while she’s always looking out for number one ( herself ), it’s not because she’s irredeemably self-serving, but because she’s a nomad who has been taught to survive from the moment she learned how to walk. 

Vera has the appearance of a sweet-faced, angelic beauty with an otherworldly innocence about her...except she’s the total opposite of her appearance and is someone who is incredibly dangerous and a product of the harsh environment she grew up in. I wanted to write a character who people would underestimate at first glance only to regret it later on. I also wanted to write a Black female character because as a Black woman, I’m more comfortable writing characters of my race, gender, and sexuality. Also, I see very few Black V’s in the Cyberpunk fandom and just wanted to get a headstart on that. 

B) What inspired you to create them?

It was complex female characters like Selina Kyle, Yennefer, and Ada Wong that inspired me to create Vera. Vera is a young woman in her early twenties who has lived a very hard life and desires to become something more in Night City. 

She’s fiercely independent and pragmatic to a fault, but she has managed to keep her integrity as a nomad intact and has her own “code” that she lives by. Vera grew up in the Badlands and survived by herself when her nomad family fell apart, going by less than favorable means, such as scavenging for supplies or even killing if necessary to protect her interests. At times she appears aloof and self-serving, hardened because of her deeply troubled life, but that doesn’t mean she won’t work alongside someone to get the job done. 

Vera is extremely guarded but has shown a degree of loyalty and compassion that she seldom reveals because of her chosen stoic exterior. Despite her “difficult” personality, she does have some semblance of a conscience and genuinely cares for anyone she considers “family.” 

C) Did you have trouble figuring out where they fit in their own story?

To be honest...yes. Cyberpunk 2077 was slowly coming out of the woodworks and I was being spoon-fed small doses of information. So small that I didn’t know where to begin with Vera’s story. I plotted what I could with the teeny bits of information I was given. I mean, the game’s not even out yet and after watching all the NCW episodes, I’ve come to the conclusion that once the game comes out, I’m going to be making some big changes to her story. 

D) Have they always had the same physical appearance, or have you had to edit how they look?

You know what? There’s some old artwork of Vera where she had green hair and her name was Vanya the artwork was done by @taiga-saejima​ who is just wonderful and incredible ( please show the mun some support ). 

“Vanya” was originally a brash, impulsive young woman with a prosthetic arm that could drill holes through a wall and had dreams of grandeur, but over time...she slowly began to evolve. She changed from this loud-mouthed moron to a silent survivalist suffering from an extreme amount of PTSD and has unresolved grief from a childhood trauma that haunts her. 

Like Max from Fury Road, she wandered from place to place in hopes of outrunning the “ghosts” that shadow her steps. Vera tells herself that she only came to Night City to make it big and provide opportunities for other nomads looking to earn a living for their families and that’s partially true, but deep down, she needed a distraction. Also, her hair is no longer green but a dark purple and her prosthetic forearm cannot drill holes into walls.

E) Are they someone you would get along with? Would they get along with you?

I think we’d get along okay, but we wouldn’t be super close. 

I’m a huge wuss, and I would never be able to keep up with her because of my anxiety, my fear of loud noises, my crippling fear of getting physically hurt, and my unholy addiction to tea. Yes, Vera and I share some similarities, but I’ve been coddled my whole life, and she’s been on the road surviving. Vera and I would be better off as friendly neighbors eating lunch together and watching trashy reality shows. 

F) What do you feel when you think of your OC (pride, excitement, frustration, etc)?

I feel nothing but love and pride for my baby girl. She’s been with me since 2019 and I’m surprised at how much she’s evolved as a character. Yes, I put her through a lot of shit but I never go overboard because heaping a bunch of pain on an oc can get boring and downright depressing. Vera’s story is about endurance, healing, determination, family, and freedom. 

G) What trait of theirs bothers you the most?

Although intelligent, Vera is highly paranoid which, combined with her temper can also affect the headway of her plans or position. She doesn’t trust easily and has a tiny circle of friends that she knows will never betray her. I can’t exactly blame her for being this way but this paranoia can be a hindrance because she’s slow to warm up to people and believes that someone is always out to get her. 

H) What trait do you admire most?

Her ability to manage money.

Vera excels at money management, and that is due to her analytical, obsessive nature. She’ll dot her i's and cross her t's — that means no stone goes unturned, and when it comes to financing, it's the same.

She’ll make notes, take notes, and figure things out in a realistic way. Reality is key with Vera, and that means she doesn’t fantasize about her bank account; she knows exactly what's going on and how to make her money grow.

Does she love spending money? Yes! She loves shopping, but she loves managing her money more...and discounts.

I also love how she’s not afraid to get her hands dirty.

Nothing is more important to Vera than achieving her own goals. She’s not out to hurt anyone, not really, but she will do whatever it takes to succeed and make it big in Night City. If someone gets in her way, that’s too bad — Vera won’t hesitate to tip the scales in her favor and remove the obstacle. The concept of “fair” loses all meaning to her if she feels like her ambitions are being threatened.

J) Did you have to manipulate or exclude canon factors to allow them to create their character?

Yes? No? I already know that a Nomad!V had to leave their family but there’s no information as to what happened to them...so I made up my own headcanon about what happened to Vera’s family. Her parents were murdered by Wraiths and the rest of her nomad family scattered during a particularly gruesome raid led by Raffen Shiv. 

I haven’t played the game yet...soooo I’m not sure which part of her story is canon. 

I) Do you prefer to keep them in their canon universe?

Yes and no.

I have so many aus for her it’s ridiculous. I have a Dead By Daylight au where she’s a goth girl just trying to survive and I have a Fallout 4 au where she traveled from the Mojave to the Commonwealth after her family was killed by the Legion.

WHO AM I: My name is Ri, short for Riddled With Existential Dread.

SPEED: Inconsistent, I’m afraid T_T Sometimes I’m on fire and get everything done, but when work is crazy I just have to go with whatever comes natural, even if that’s just Not being online for a few days at a time. Either way it’s a push to get more than one reply out of me per day for any given thread, I’d say :’) it just takes me so damn long to write a single reply because I nitpick and re-read and edit so obsessively (really need to start utilising that queue again to give me breathing room)...

REPLIES: Terrible, just terrible. I kid. I like to write long replies and really let Jiraiya just ramble about Some Bullshit. The rambly nature of the muse does influence what I can reply to in the moment, because if I haven’t the wit to muster up his dialogue responses then the actions never end up ringing true for some reason. So I have to have what he says down first, or risk deleting masses of crappy action text. My process is fucked up and I’m eternally grateful for everyone’s patience!

STARTERS: It’s been a while since I posted a starter call, although I’ve been known to do so. I mostly end up plotting something behind the scenes, and come to an agreement with the mun in question concerning who has the time or immediate inspiration to get the ball rolling. Also I do dash com a fair bit when I have time to be Properly Online (as in, not just dipping in and out when I get a chance), and any of those posts can be considered something that could lead to an actual thread. That’s happened more times than I can out and they’re truly the most brilliant threads!

INBOX: I honestly love getting stupid shit in my inbox. I truly do, even if it takes me some time to respond (I usually peck away at asks when my thread writing is grinding to an even slower halt than usual). But for real, all your stupid and sex-related questions, send them this way. I have seldom deleted an anon for being too gross or out there. If I wind up leaving things for literal months I might delete it eventually, or you might just see an ask being answered a whole 6 months later. You just can’t tell with me :’)

SELECTIVITY: I’m not very selective. If you approach me for RP or inbox me or whatever, and we start to thread, chances are I will follow back anyway. But if I don’t then I’m still down for asks, but I may be more selective with longer/para threads. Any selectivity really is based on whether or not we mesh, simple as--but everyone gets a chance and I follow back those I gel with :)

WISHLIST: Oooooh. I feel like I have so many good things going on here, and so many fantastic writing partners that I couldn’t wish for more... and my plot wishlist has conveniently flown out of my head too. But more friends and interactions from his youth, like teens to mid-twenties would be nice! And I guess the main other thing on my wishlist would be more time, please. Or for an item that lets me stop time for a bit. Like Bernard’s Watch.

HONEST NOTE: I try very hard to be funny :’) it doesn’t always work. I’m over-enthusiastic. I’m very easily distracted and can’t multi-task to save my life. I’m way more chatty one-on-one than I am in a group. I will probably make a playlist for our muses at some point down the line.           OH BOY. Depends? At home, we usually boil our water on the kettle.             Definitely being able to write with you, Turtle and angel. Seriously never ever a dull moment, you guys are too perfect  ! Also definitely writing with @bladebeauty​ and giving Kuroh more of a relationship with Yukari. We never had that before and we love it !! 

👣 Describe a time the mun took a lesson from the muse in a real life situation.

    THIS IS A GOOD ONE. Judging a book by its cover, something Kuroh didn’t want to do when it came to deciding whether or not Shiro was an evil king. He took it upon himself to decide and see with his own eyes. For me, in real life I tend to be very on guard with just about everyone. I am rarely open, and don’t really get close to people due to experience. But, I have had instances where instead assuming a person was bad simply because of what I had heard from others, I took upon myself to get to know them. To which, the rumors seemed to be just that, rumors. I am even more guarded over myself now more than ever, but having Kuroh as a muse, it does help to remind me that, despite what I was taught or learned growing up and in my best experiences, not everyone is as terrible the world want to make them seem. If that makes sense??

Q1 :  If you could write your character your way in their own movie,  what would it be called,  what style would it be filmed in, and what would it be about?          

A1 : Pretty sure the movie would be called “From the Darkness” or “The Fallen of Bajhiri” since those are the big things I go with for Toshi. It would easily be a Horror film and it would likely be a trilogy where the first movie is about his past (When he was Sozoh’a) leading up to his transformation to Toshi, the second would be focused on him getting sealed away and his hunt to break the seals. Third is likely him either breaking the seals and getting his freedom or something... I dunno.

Q2 :  What would their soundtrack/score sound like?          

A2 : Mostly Horror Music and Themes, Likely Horror Video Game music such as things from Silent Hill.

Q3 :  Why did you start writing this character?          

A3 : Toshinaku was retired well after I created him, I had originally wanted to make him as a sort of adopted into the Miqo’te Clan type character and to RP someone with my good friend @skyysinger​ with Sebha’to. But I quickly tossed it out... and now that I’ve had a lot of fun RPing and talking with amazing people like @unatobajhiri​ and @nyrs-nook​ I got inspired to bring him back. I guess the big reason I wanted to start writing him is because I really wanted to write horror stories.

Q4 :   What first attracted you to this character?          

A4 : I have way too many muses and ideas at times though when I originally made Toshi again it was him being seen as an Adopted outsider into the Miqo’te Clan. After revising him and RPing with my friends I started to develop a greater lover for horror aspects and I wanted to play with something I never really delved that deep into before. I had done things with Dragons and Halfbreeds for various races but I never touched on any creatures from the Void.

Q5 :  Describe the biggest thing you dislike about your muse.

A5 :  I suppose if I had to pick something that I ‘dislike’ about Toshi is I guess that his content can be very... mature and 18+ themed which means that it’s not really suited for everyone. I do love the horror and body horror that I write for him but I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea obviously. I am also always afraid of creating characters like this because of how people might take them (Him being a Voidsent, how he turned, things like that) and how people tend to be at times.

Q6 :  What do you have in common with your muse?          

A6 :   Do... I share anything in common with this asshole? Honestly... I do not know and I’m almost terrified if I do have something in common with him...

Q7 :   How does  your muse feel about you?          

A7 :  I’m pretty sure Toshi hates me just for the simple fact that I keep throwing him into hell and putting him through a lot of pain and suffering because I find it so relaxing to write those body horror stories of his. I think he might want to tear me apart because of how many times I’ve had him just... well you know... 

Q8 :  What characters does your muse have interesting interactions with ?        

A8 :  When it comes down to it Toshi really finds most people he interacts with interesting... unless it’s @unatobajhiri‘s Una’to because then it’s just a game of how much can the Keeper annoy the shit out of him. He finds characters like @gildedandgolden‘s Aure very... curious because he is trying to learn why they are how they are. Any other characters he has interacted with were just NPCs for story purposes and he usually goes to characters so that he can try and achieve his goal.

Q9 :  What gives you inspiration to write your muse ?        

A9 : The biggest inspiration for me is just knowing that people enjoy seeing the things that I post about any of my characters. When people praise me I don’t know how to take it but that shows me that people are indeed interested in these characters and stories that I have to offer. It helps me fight the bad brain demons that I have where I’ll usually give up on a character entirely either because I feel that I am bothering and annoying people with that character or because I feel like I am wasting peoples time with them or it’s simply because I feel like no one will want to see the character. A lot of the times I feel my stuff is trash or garbage so knowing that people want to see more is always an inspiration to keep me writing.

Q10 : How long did this take you to complete ?          

A10 : Hrmmmmm roughly an hour but I also had a cat get on my lap and in the way during the middle of this so... RIP

❮ You said random not good Aoi isn’t the best swimmer actually – sure, she can do some breaststrokes so she won’t fucking drown, but otherwise, she prefers to be in the water where she can easily stand ❯

Things you should know about me: 

1.      I don’t do drama. Now, most people go on and say that and then end up at the center of some proverbial maelstrom. Not me. I actively avoid it and go out of my way to make sure I don’t cause any for others. I’ve no time or energy for the petty nonsense I see on tumblr in general. I don’t do call out posts (unless you’re adorable, and then I might) and I am the first person who will come talk to you if there is a problem or I suspect there might be. I’m also 38, and my time with vapid drama is totally and 100% over.

2.      I try and be extremely communicative with the people I write with. I admit, there are times when RP/RL gets overwhelming and I need time to regroup, but I’m not the sort to up and disappear for months on end without a word.

3.      I invest my time to RP/write because it’s something I love to do. But, I am also a mom (shout out to my eldest nerdling @aesthetically-kaelyn ) and wife, and while my schedule isn’t totally hectic, my family comes first.

4.      I’m not scary and you shouldn’t be intimidated by reaching out/wanting to RP…AT ALL. I’m a complete and total dork who will gush about your muses (because I read EVERYTHING) and fangirl to the highest degree. I am 10000% invested in peoples stories and creative worlds because it influences and inspires my own on so many levels. Please, don’t be shy or think ‘Oh wow, they are so good I could never keep up.’ I struggle, just like everyone else, with anxiety and self-doubt when it comes to my writing. I relish and welcome the chance to write with new people/personalities of all sorts!

1.      Adilynia is my main character, and while yes her story with the Trinity is involved, there are plenty of opportunities to meet/engage yourself with the little ball of sunshine on almost every level.

2.      I am more than capable of bouncing between characters/alts without much time needed to regroup. So, if one isn’t your cup of tea… the others weirdos in my head might be.

3.      I keep my list of muses small(ish) so I can make sure they are well rounded and flow without seeming to be forced into some story. So, both they and the Mun are open to so much more.
