Shipping: how it works for this blog

Hello! I am Syn. I have a little over a decade of writing and role-playing experience under my belt.​ As a role play partner, I would consider myself passionate, communicative, enthusiastic, and friendly.​

hello! it’s that time again i try to sell myself as a potential writing partner. i have written these in the past and been successful in occasionally finding roleplay partners who are interested in the same sorts of things as me. so i am looking for people who want to world build with me. i really like discussing plots, headcanons, and anything that can make me understand your muse better! i love sharing memes, drabbles, not roleplaying linearly and tossing around multiple threads! i don't need many people to write with but i really prefer to have a handful of people who i know well, am invested in their muses/feel super comfortable with my knowledge of their muses & pingpong my annoying ideas at them easily.

HEADCANONS - WHO IS G.ALLAGHER?

this should go without saying, but just in case: SPOILERS FOR 2.2 STORY AHEAD. this will be tagged but not under a cut, so proceed with caution if you're not caught up yet.

so, since 2.2 refuted one of my favourite theories for g.allagher's identity, much to my disappointment, i've opted to keep my hcs as is and make my portrayal CANON DIVERGENT. this is also in part because i've already developed (or started developing) certain dynamics that rely on him following this particular identity and i don't want to throw that out / limit it to an AU verse, especially given interactions with "g.allagher" are now pretty restricted for anything post 2.2.

MINOR CANON COMPLIANCE

there are certain aspects i will keep, of course. namely, that he is a pathstrider of the enigmata, and that "g.allagher" is a created form specifically designed for p.enacony. he does deliberately "borrow" traits from the Family members as s.unday describes to create this image.

and, to an extent, "g.allagher" as we know him has ceased to exist following the events of the story. however, a different form was created in its place that shares some of the traits of the previous one - a new g.allagher, if you will.

THE TRUE "G.ALLAGHER"

prior to 2.2, i ascribed to the theory that g.allagher was a potential "human form" for the memory zone meme Death, that he was Death itself (saying he was Thirteen played a lot into this, obviously) - and i took this and ran wild with it. and, so:

he does not control Something Unto Death/Dormancy. he is Something Unto Death/Dormancy.

"g.allagher" does not have a singular true form - at least, not one that is known or has ever been seen. instead, he creates various 'characters' that he can shift between at will. for p.enacony, these were the human guise of g.allagher and the memetic entity itself. whilst in either of these forms, he can also alter individual aspects of his appearance at will - though these are usually temporary and used as a means of unsettling or intimidating enemies.

quick note: this portrayal of g.allagher will occasionally involve minor descriptions of body horror for this reason. i can and will leave these out for people who are uncomfortable with that, so if that applies to you, please let me know during discussion/plotting prior to interactions! these descriptions will never be graphic/too horrific, but i still don't want to make anyone uncomfortable unknowingly.

the primary form is the memetic entity, and as such, there is a certain bleed through into the human 'g.allagher'. these include the elements of g.allagher's attacks and the glow that shines through his scars and forms his claws. there's also occasionally an unsettling presence about him that certain others can pick up on, particularly those who are also possibly not quite human.

despite being the same entity, he is able to split himself into multiple forms at once. as such, both the human guise of 'g.allagher' and the memetic form 'dormancy' are able to be encountered separately - this is mostly to further conceal the truth, avoiding an observant eye coming to the realisation that they are never seen together, despite dormancy being 'controlled' by g.allagher. when separated like this, all forms share senses and can even 'take over' certain senses of another form - for example, g.allagher could 'take over' dormancy's vision to see through its eyes.

KEY INFORMATION

his role in the story is unchanged. his involvement with the w.atchmaker remains the same, etc. he's still a history fictionologist. given there's so little information available for this faction, i don't see a reason to tweak this (yet).

very few people know he and the memetic entity are the same. canon characters that could fall into this category include m.isha (obviously), sunday, robin, and s.amfly. for sunday and robin, this will largely be post-story (as in, after he fckn stabs them-). s,amfly i would accept prior knowledge of due to script reasons. as an additional note, i hc that siobhan knows something is weird about g.allagher (as one of the few who seems to know him & interacts with him in a way that implies a history between them - and as someone who regularly deals with & has experience with inhuman creatures) but she simply doesn't ask questions.

g.allagher and "dormancy" can be encountered as separate entities at the same time, and share senses. to avoid the risk of questions, g.allagher makes a point to be seen with "dormancy" on occasion.

g.allagher and "dormancy" have different personalities - g.allagher has been carefully crafted a certain way to fit the role he needs to play. when g.allagher breaks this character, that is "dormancy" bleeding through. g.allagher's personality is a blend of borrowed traits from the Family and hints, perhaps, of the fictionologist who created him...

post-2.2 story, "g.allagher" is recreated but with altered traits from the original. the new form is in a similar age range appearance-wise, has a similar colouring (though his hair is longer), and also has visible scarring though the scars themselves are different.

he can still be found around p.enacony in both forms, though the human g.allagher (2.0) is more likely to be found in reality whilst the memetic entity remains in the dreamscape.

Abilities

Harmony is a cyborg armed with plasma and barriers. Her left arm stores a miniature factory with the palms of her being plasma guns. They appear as circular purple lights embedded in her palms.  Her right arm is also mechanical with capabilities of releasing plasma energy as vines. The arms are adorned with metallic vines with thorns with purple blossoms over her shoulder blades. The entirety of her upper back is metal, serving as a cover for her secondary life support system that increases Harmony’s endurance and strength.

Some of her organs, such as her heart and lungs have implants to improve combat performance.

Some of her bones, such as her spine and ribs are reinforced for combat as well.

Although she doesn’t remember her past, Harmony’s knowledge of the military, combat, and field medicine indicate that she may be a soldier or guard. Her fate as an experiment for military research also suggests what her history is.

Note: Stats involving attacks are subject to change. Technique will be added soon.

Basic attack:  Plasma Ray – Attacks a single opponent with a plasma gun built into the palm of her left hand.   She charges at enemies with her shield which comes from her right palm, bulldozing obstacles and dealing damage to enemies. However, this can be done to a single target.

Skill:  Violet Vines (bounce) – Releases vibrant, purple thorny vines composed of plasma from her left palm. These vines inflict physical damage to multiple enemies and immobilize them for two turns.

Ultimate: Unconquerable Spirit - Increases all allies’ attacks and increases their critical damage for two turns.

Talent: Breaking free – After using her basic attack, Harmony’s next action will move forward by 15-35%.

Other Abilities: Harmony received the ability to communicate with wubaboos after saving one from capture when she was held prisoner by ARES.

Text of appearance is from her profile page: Her long hair is dark brown, almost black with some dark red highlights. It casts a reddish shine in the light. Harmony stands about 5 foot 4 inches (162.5 cm) and is toned because of working out with a pear-shaped figure. Her weight fluctuates between 135-140 pounds (61.2- 63.5 kg) as a human, but as a cyborg, it increases to 185-190 pounds (83.9-86.2 kg). Her complexion is tan which is darker than most people in this verse. Her skin tone, hair color, and eye color are more typical among the people of her home planet. However, not much is known whether there are others like her anymore.

However, both arms and shoulders are mechanical with her entire back being metallic. These parts are dark gray with a large engraving of a stylized eagle. The engraving was made after she began to get on her feet after her escape, wanting a symbol of her new freedom. She also has a small tattoo on her left wrist, which says her former name: “H-101 Ω”

Harmony has three piercings. One on each earlobe and she has a piercing on her tongue.

Harmony’s body has various scars on her body, ranging from thin, clean incisions from live dissections, the nasty scars and burns from the “so-called” tests where she fought to the death against monsters, even forced to end the lives of prisoners corrupted by ARES' other experiments. She has mixed feelings about the scars. Harmony worries that she lost any beauty she had, but at the same time, they are signs that she is free. She fought against her captors and even against death itself.

 There is beauty in life and strength. Harmony used all her might for her right to protect and live, and despite all odds, she won.

Personality: Harmony is a shy girl who can get excited occasionally. This can be off-putting to other people, especially if she just met them. It makes her come off as socially awkward. Most of the time, she’s more reserved, often in the background but she will warm up to others who mean no ill will.

She can trust others pretty quickly, which is both a good and bad thing. However, once she trusts someone, Harmony is sweet, even affectionate. Her most noticeable traits are her kindness, being polite, and quiet nature. She also has a nurturing side, who takes on the role as a mother figure to others in needs including children and creatures. However, she can be fierce, even a little scary if she needs to be. This was apparent in her trials in ARES’s captivity and in the challenges that followed in her duty as a Trailblazer and guard.

She’s incredibly stubborn, and sometimes this can do more harm than good. But it is that determination that also saved lives including her own. Harmony means well, but even after living she is dedicated, sticking to her tasks to the end. The last thing she wants to do is let anyone down.

Backstory

(Note: I haven't yet completed the Jarilo-VI quest line in HSR. Some of the backstory may change once I learn more about the lore. ARES have been created for this AU and more information about them and specific characters as headcanons. ARES and notable characters associated with them will be available for plots.)

The stars shine bright in the eternal darkness that is the universe. They shimmer near and far from Harmony’s window with the colors of distant planets studding the heavens like jewels on sparkling velvet. Silver eyes watch the outside surroundings drift by outside her room. Metallic arms cross over her chest and red lips curve to a gentle smile.

I never get tired of this. I love seeing the stars whenever I get the chance. Harmony thought while looking on during this short time alone. It’s small pleasures like this that she never takes for granted. It’s far better than the bright red and rust splattered on the pit’s walls, a place where she thought of many battles for her life.  Where she is now is far better than the walls of her cold cell, or the blinding white lights over her.

She can never forget those memories. Strapped to the table with the light shielding the scientists’ features as they diligently got to work with sterling scalpels, drills, needles, and probes. Harmony never recalled ever being under any anesthesia during those experiments. The researchers at ARES never cared to offer their test subjects that.

Harmony’s smile fades as the past slowly and carefully creep up on her. Her head lowers to the floor before her.

“Ares.” She mutters under her breath. Not many people knew of them, but she would say they were lucky to never know.

ARES is an illusive organization dedicated to research and development of weapons dedicated to the military and warfare. They have vast connections to other organizations who sought their weaponry and technology. They worked alongside oppressive regimes across the universe. They also had dealings underthe table with private military contractors who were willing to pay the high price for their weapons.

Hushed rumors stoked speculations that the IPC may have some involvement ARES's work or used their weapons designed for mass destruction.  Of course, there is no clear evidence of their relationship. Still, ARES are responsible for the devastation their weapons caused and they ignored ethics for the sake of progress.

One of their experiments is the creation of a super soldier, an ultimate killing machine. This led to their development of Project Ursa, which is the creation of a soldier of human and technology combined. A weapon that is as powerful as a grizzly bear hellbent on reaping lives of enemies.

That was where Harmony came in.

Harmony holds out her left arm and her left-hand gingerly strokes over the small engraving on her metallic wrist. She can’t feel the depth of the engraving of the nam ARES gave her.

H-101 Ω

She can’t feel the cold metal with her hands, or how smooth the metal is. It’s nothing but that strange sense of numbness from her shoulders down. Her back is no better with metal replacing flesh from the back of her neck to the center of her back.

 Funny…I…Can't remember ever feeling anything with my fingers...Come to think of it, I can't feel anything on my arms and back. But everywhere else is fine.

She vaguely recalls a time when she was not like this, but…It’s so blurry. All she knows is the ARES Space Station and the hell created within those walls.

“Shoot! Not again…” Harmony mutters under her breath with a shake of her head.

Eyes shut tight as she recalls her earliest memories being ones of fear, pain, and death.  But her life must have not been that way. She has her names, one being Harmony Halcyon, and the other is from an unknown language that she somehow knows. Though she remembers only some words, it was a sign that her life was not always shrouded in darkness.

She only has those few fragments from her past before ARES. She knows she’s Harmony Halcyon and there’s another name: Nita Isskunosi. It’s from a language she doesn’t recall the name of but knows some words. It exists somewhere!  Those names are what she held onto. They mean she’s a person, not H-101 Omega: The innovation of super soldiers.

The young woman opens her eyes, returning her attention to the heavens for one more moment. Just one more moment before duty calls.

 What I don’t get is how I got there to begin with. Harmony thought, I must have something to do with military or something like that. Was I a soldier before that? A peacekeeper?

A chiming sound draws her gaze to the phone resting on her nightstand. She turns away from the window for the nightstand, her mind wanders back to how she came here. That she remembers very well.

ARES gushed over their success in developing a living war machine but they wanted to do more. They had much more in store in her before her eventual deployment.

Be it on the table under the knife or on the battlefield, Harmony knew this could be fatal for her. Unfortunately for her, It didn’t matter to ARES since they lost many test subjects before.  As far as she knew, she was the remaining human subject who survived.

But Harmony had other plans for her fate. She wasn’t going to let them keep her here and use her for every twisted experiment. No. She refused to let those monsters rule her life! She can't let these people conquer her fate as they have done to her body, her mind, and her previous life.

She must take control of her life and it had to happen now!

It was that decision that changed her story and sparked chaos in the ARES Station.

Sirens went off, and red lights flashed in her sight as she ran down the corridor.  Sparks flew and armed med and women fell from the storm of plasma rays emitted from the gun embedded within her. Screams and cries of pain rang in her ears when other staff who came after her met the large, blue shield. She bulldozed obstacles while her plasma gun was charging, breaking into the station’s hanger.

Her target: The Crimson Falcon, was a space fighter jet developed by ARES. It was one of the ships in the organization’s prized fleet, which fell into the fugitive’s hands as she used credentials stolen from a fallen staff member on the way.

It worked! It was working, and she was free! She was so close to freedom at last!

Or so she thought.

ARES didn’t give up and pursued her. It took one missile to send the Crimson Falcon crashing. Her fears of recapture or death filled Harmony when she fell from the sky. The craft screeching with flames engulfing the ship. She didn’t have the chance to react before a crash reaches her ears. Darkness flooded her vision, surrounded by intense heat drilling into her as debris dug into her body. Those are all she knew until there was nothing.  

Harmony shudders and she shakes her head once more. It’s all she can do to rid herself of the past. Calm yourself, Harmony! Don’t get caught up in the past.  She needs to keep telling herself that. She reaches for her phone, turning on the screen to the notification. It's a reminder of the time, which is when she needs to be on patrol.

Yeah, I need to go. She thought, and the phone slid into her jacket's pocket as she made her way to her desk that stood across from her bed and nightstand. She picks up her Astral Express badge from the desk, pausing to look at it.

She can never express the entirety of her gratitude for the Astral Express. They didn't have to take her in, but she offered her services as security and assist in Trailblazing. Surely, her abilities can do good for others instead of destruction.

How she got here opened the door to a new journey in hopes of finding answers. That part of her story is still fresh on her mind with the many ups and downs leading to this.

Harmony came to learn about it during her recovery from her wounds at a clinic belonging to a doctor named Natasha in Jarilo-VI. Shat was where she crashed and it wasn't long until she was discovered and brought in. There she learned that she was safe and there was no one there to harm her.

That was the very first time in so long that she felt safe. That was the first time when the dam broke and emotions poured out. Maybe it is too much for the gentle doctor but she was patient, and understanding, never judging her patient who was through the wringer more than once.

That encounter was still embarrassing for Harmony who was used put on a brave face in the face of the people who put her through hell in the name of science.

Her time recovering in the clinic gave her time to put her thoughts together with questions buzzing in her mind. Though they followed her for so long, Harmony couldn't dwell on such questions when fighting for her life.

Nita Isskunosi, that means Little Bear. Why do I know that? Who was I?

My family? Who were they? Did I have one?

...Where is home?

How did I get to ARES?...What happened?

She had to know, but...How? Where should she start in finding answers to those questions.

She knew no one would have the answers, not even Natasha. But, Harmony was open with the kind woman about these questions and not knowing where to go from there. She had no one else to turn to other than the first friendly face.

That was where she learned about the Astral Express. It carried the Trailblazers, who saved Jarilo-VI from the effects of the Fragmentum. Perhaps they could help her find the answers to her past beyond her time with ARES. Though hesitant, Harmony knew that may be her first step.

She reached out to them, and the rest was history.

Her story starts from here and Harmony hopes that one day, she will learn about herself, where she came from, why she became an experiment, and hope to find people she will hold dear to her heart.

Right! I need to go! I need to for real.

Harmony attaches the badge to her jacket. Then, she makes her way to the door. She takes in a deep breath before finally leaving her room.

This is it. This is only the beginning.

Hi!!! I'm fairly new here so I'm not sure if this has been discussed but I'd love to see your take on the relationship between BulRo during Bul's empires. Do you have headcanons for it?

I do, I do! I haven't discussed it before though. But here is a short list, trying to potentially stave off spoilers for Rose-Hearted.

Please take in consideration that I am not a historian and my headcannons should be taken as what they are: Mere headcannons, not actual commentary on medieval history and entity dynamics.

[Also bear in mind that in my verse Romania is a woman. It's my nationverse and I get to pick my women]

● In the First Bulgarian Empire, Dimitar didn't interact a lot with Antonia [Romania]. Romanians weren't mentioned a lot in the First Empire, and there's little information available on the inter-relations of Bulgarians and Romanians. I imagine that Antonia, unhappy with her situation, would draw herself away and do her own things.

•I think that Dimitar would try to approach her though! Get to know her a bit better. He'd often bring her little gifts that he made himself — flowers from his garden, woodcarvings of small animals (My headcannon is that Dimitar enjoys wood-carving) she likes. Antonia is always polite with him, but isn't exactly sure if she trusts Dimitar fully.

•As Dimitar becomes stronger and more confident in his abilities, he also becomes more confident in communicating with others and isn't as shy or timid with Antonia. He has accepted that Antonia has her doubts of him, but he'd try to befriend her regardless.

•Unintentionally, he rubs off on her and she grows more confident as time passes. She discovers her own passions and hobbies — she develops an interest in the occult, magic and folklore, which leads her into hours of research.

•Dimitar bonds with Antonia over a shared interest in folklore; he tells her stories of the Bulgars and Slavs, and she records them. Antonia, in return, tells stories of her mother, Dacia's accomplishments and adventures, as well as Roman mythology.

•In the end, during the First Empire they don't exactly interact a lot, but when they do, they're amicable. Antonia bonds with Dimitar overtime, but still keeps a fair amount of distance.

•When the First Bulgarian Empire was conquered by the Byzantine Empire and turned into a Theme (essentially a province), Dimitar, as the representative, was captured and taken to the Byzantine court. Antonia, having fallen under the Byzantine sphere of influence, stayed behind, but had to stay subservient to the Empire, as many other nations. During that time, she continued her research on folklore while also sending letters to Dimitar, detailing her daily life and expressing disdain for "that arrogant man-child with the purple cloak".

>It was also at that time where Antonia and Miroslav (Serbia) actually befriended each other, due to being at similar situations.

•Like I said, she'd send Dimitar letters. LOTS of them. She'd also include drawings she made, of various things: Mostly scenery, but also portraits. She found herself missing Dimitar.

•The Second Bulgarian Empire was marked by more interactions between Bulgarians and Romanians (known as Wallachians or Vlachs then). Indeed, the revolution against the Byzantine Empire that resulted in the creation of the SBE was started by three Romanians (Asan, Kaloyan and Peter).

•After Dimitar returned from captivity, he and Antonia grew closer. Antonia became more assertive when it involved political matters and she often advised Dimitar. The SBE soon became the dominant entity in the Balkans, defeating the Romans multiple times.

•It was then that Antonia realized she had feelings for Dimitar, but soon pushed them away in order to focus on her own life. Mainly, getting her own state and no longer relying on anyone else for her people's existence and well-being.

•The Mongol Invasions ended Cuman influence and weakened Hungary, which gave Antonia an opportunity to call for unification and the creation of an independent state. Even when she left Dimitar's side, she never stopped sending him letters offering advice and generally talking.

•Dimitar kept all her letters. Even through Ottoman times, when he tended to his garden, he'd keep the most beautiful flowers and name them after her. Yes I headcannon him as sappy, crucify me.

1 ∞ I have absolutely no tolerance for drama, I will not engage in or comment. My lack of engagement is not an indication of any opinion on the matter. Contact me privately if you need to hash out any issues.

2 ∞ I do best with ample plotting and discussion, my Discord is available to any mutuals upon request for such a purpose.

Mutual daydreaming about potential scenarios and relationship details until ideas for threads and interactions click into existence is the bread and butter of writing with me, and I thrive the most when I have many unique discussion points to feed off of when writing.

3 ∞ Please do not make assumptions about my portrayal based off of fanon! There are many unique aspects about my Satoru that are very important to me and can diverge pretty heavily from popular interpretations. Please don't hesitate to ask me if you are ever unsure, I am always happy to explain, and in return I will always work with your own unique portrayal as well.

4 ∞ I think that the fact there can be so many different ways to interpret a character when everyone has the same starting material is a beautiful thing to be celebrated. I am happy to write with multiples of the same muse and each will be treated with the respect of being their own unique character.

I am also more than happy to follow other Satoru blogs if you are comfortable with it, and I do want to interact when given the chance.

5 ∞ Shipping: Your muses are allowed to have crushes on him, but please approach me with the assumption that he will likely never reciprocate in the right way. I love the idea of exploring flings or short-lived relationships that don't work out, but long term romance-like relationships are rare and only works if a lot of chemistry occurs naturally through interactions. I write Satoru as aro/ace and I do take the aromantic part of his identity seriously; it will affect how he approaches things.

I love all kinds of platonic dynamics, from friends, to antagonists and familial. All interactions regardless of the type of dynamic are in separate verses unless plotted otherwise

6 ∞ Dead Dove: do not eat. Many mature themes make potential and frequent appearances on this blog, due to the nature of the source material and just my preference in writing: I have a great love of writing violence and uncomfortable characterizations. I generally won't bother tagging the likes of violence and gore in prose, though I will tag any explicit visuals and things I have been asked to tag with "_ cw"

I won't be writing any explicit sexual content, but suggestive content including up to a fade to black might occur

7 ∞ My primary goal here is to have fun, and to make sure that my writing partner is also having fun. I'm really not picky on the length, formatting, grammar or whatever from my partner as long as effort is being put in and we're having a good time. I write as much as I feel like, I reply to things I have muse for, and I won't necessarily answer prompts I can't think of a reply to. I expect my partners to have the same freedom without any pressure to inform me.

I am happy as needed to drop threads, redo concepts, write short scenarios that only lasts a round or two; anything goes in the name of enjoying ourselves shamelessly.
