Monospec Pride Flag
Tumblr media
Mono-spec (mono- spectrum): an umbrella term for identities related to experiencing attraction to one gender [plus affection/relationships involving one gender].
The spectrum includes those who are exclusively attracted to sole one singular gender only (suptilic), and those who are fluid (i.e. abro-, novo-, amplusic), multioriented/centrioriented, varioriented/variangled, also mspec (multispec), cupiospec, orchidspec, or otherwise a-spec (e.g. arospec, acespec, aplspec, etc.) [along with other possible combinations].
For example, someone who is both gay and bi could consider their homo attraction as monospec. Lesbihets/straightbians could be monospec as a result of being multigender/genderfluid (could be a form of novosexuality). Anattractional viramorics or feminamorics could be monospec because of their affection or relationships, instead of their lack of attraction.

Alternative Multioriented-Spectrum System (AMSS)
Are YOU tired of panphobia in the bi community and biphobia in the pan community? Are YOU tired of discourse about what each label means? Worry no more my friend, your friendly neighborhood m-spec person is here to help.
Three words to define your m-spec orientation without decades of more-or-less trans-friendly/nonbinary-friendly history behind them
Di- (disexual, diromantic, diplatonic, disensual, etc)
From ancient greek δι, meaning “two” or “double”
Attraction to two genders
Holo- (holosexual, holoromantic, holoplatonic, holosensual, etc)
From ancient greek ὅλος, meaning “whole”
Attraction to all genders
Pluri- (plurisexual, pluriromantic, pluriplatonic, plurisensual, etc)
From latin plures, meaning “numerous” or “multiple”
Attraction to multiple genders, but neither less than three nor all of them
If you don’t want to use these terms for any reason you may want to check the Juvelic System, to encompass both your orientation and your gender identity/a simplification of your gender identity.
If you see a problem with this system, or have any question about it, please feel free to send an ask to my blog or a pm.
If you decide to coin more terms fitting in the AMSS/design a flag or multiple flagsfor these words, please tag me or send me a link, I’d love to see this!
Please note that none of these definitons indicate how I define their equivalents in the traditional m-spec system. I do not think every bioriented person is attracted to exactly two genders (and/or that these genders are men and women).
